TW Suicide

Do you remember that scene in Avengers Infinity War, when Thanos is on the Ship of the Asgardians and kills Loki? After he leaves and starts destroying the ship with the power stone Thor doesn't do anything. He just sits there holding Lokis dead Body in his Arms and Mourning the loss of his brother and all his other friends.

I personally think he wanted to die in that moment. If he wanted to he couldve probably escaped somehow but he didn't even try. He sat there, Mourning his brother. The last member of his family after he had lost EVERYBODY else, in a Spaceship breaking apart in the middle of empty space. He survived only through emense luck.

I personally think he gave up in that moment and just wanted to die like everybody else in his life did so he didn't have to feel the pain anymore. Also his depression in Avengers Endgame speaks for that I think

I’ve been working on Thor just now (very happy with how it’s going btw), but I’ve just kind of realised as I’ve been writing it that I have been putting in way more GOTG references than I thought I would ever need to. It’s kind of funny actually… because Asgard and the Nine Worlds were all that was established in the first film, but an entire ENORMOUS part of space in the MCU are all the worlds of GOTG (Knowhere, Xandar, etc.), how different aliens interact with one another, the universal jump point system, and so on…

I’ve also had to kind of figure out how the Bifrost works for travel in comparison to the teleportation network, as well as why Asgardians are the only ones able to use it. It’s been quite interesting doing that… and more than that, it makes me excited to explore that other half of space for when I actually get to write the GOTG fic. The gist I get (and what I’m trying to show here) is that the Bifrost can take you to places faster than the jump point system, but just to where Bifrost is present… specific places only. Anything else in space is often seen as lesser than what Asgardians can access, which is actually a limitation of their ability to travel there.

Exciting stuff, world building is! And scary, too… there’s a chance I may have to rethink a lot of this stuff in the future. 😬 All the same, feel free to send me ideas of how to better integrate these two systems together. 😊

Had to reread my reactions to issue 4 to refresh my memory of where we left off and holy shit y'all here we go!

Listen, I know that he wants to cause mayhem at some point, but the fact that even this version of Loki went to Thor when he found out Nebula was going to Earth, that he tries to negotiate with her when he finds that she's already gotten to Thor, makes me so fuckin' feral.

Neb, c'mon, a villain monologue? You're better than that. Don't show Loki your entire hand; he'll use it against you in 2 pages, even as a child illusion. Hell, blindfold him and tie both hands behind his back, and he'll still outwit you. At least to get himself and Thor out of there.

Oookay. So in the context of real Loki's timeline, this is after Thor has found out AoA Loki killed Kid Loki and took his place. He's still pissed with him. I think this is before or concurrent with ego death.
