Did I unfollow a mutual who was spam posting Irondad-Spiderson content out of nowhere? Fucking absolutely. As a reminder; fuck billionaire, war-profiteer, accountability dodger, child endangerer, self-aggrandising, self-centred asshole Tony Stark. The only care he feels for Peter is out of -AT MOST- a guilty kind of moral obligation.
Tony has an actual child, and Peter already has a parental figure;
Aunt May loves Peter in the way you all project onto Tony Stark in Irondad scenarios, and unlike Irondad, that's canon. Argue with a mirror, I'm right.
Stan Aunt May, cowards.

Dethroned
Tony, crying after losing Peter in space, remembering he brought a 14 year old boy into a War Zone (making him a child soldier), remembering he didn't tell Peter the truth about The Accords, and remembering he never told Peter about the FBI about The Ferry, and took his only source of safety which nearly killed him, and now he's ACTUALLY dead: I'm the most horrible person in the world! I'm just like my Father!
Bruce, too tired and upset for this shit, and fuming at Tony for deceiving and blaming Peter, and letting him go to space: My Father will be sad to know he's been dethroned.

In response : Warning, lots of facts.
The Accords were most definitely created to take away rights. I don't know how whether or not someone is American has anything to do with their view point. How is the removal of due process not an infringement or the removal of basic human rights? So because they were made by the UN, they're safe? Didn’t the government try to nuke New York? Weren’t they the same ones with Hydra running around inside? The minute you start targeting a specific group of people, it's a problem.
Tumblr media
Let me just break down the Accords real quick:
Any enhanced individuals who agree to sign must register with the United Nations and provide biometric data such as fingerprints and DNA samples. Those with secret identities must reveal their legal names and true identities to the United Nations. Those with innate powers must submit to a power analysis, which will categorize their threat level and determine potential health risks. Those with innate powers must also wear tracking bracelets at all times.
Fingerprints? DNA? Tracking bracelets? How invasive.
I’m sure this can fall under the fourth amendment (the right of the people of the US to feel secure in their homes, and of possessions, without fear of ‘unreasonable searches and seizures’).
Any enhanced individuals who sign are prohibited from taking action in any country other than their own unless they are first given clearance by either that country's government or by a United Nations subcommittee. Governments are forbidden from deploying enhanced individuals outside of their own national borders unless those individuals are given clearance as described above. The same rule also applies to non-government organizations that operate on a global scale (including S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers).
Any enhanced individuals who do not sign will not be allowed to take part in any police, military, or espionage activities, or to otherwise participate in any national or international conflict, even in their own country. As a corollary, they will not be allowed to participate in any active missions undertaken by private or governmental law enforcement/military/intelligence organizations (such as S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers).
Sounds like coercion to me.....which is illegal.
Any enhanced individuals who use their powers to break the law (including those who take part in extralegal vigilante activities), or are otherwise deemed to be a threat to the safety of the general public, may be detained indefinitely without trial. If an enhanced individual violates the Accords, or obstructs the actions of those enforcing the Accords, they may likewise be arrested and detained indefinitely without trial.
So, what exactly is defined as an extralegal activity? What if someone has it out for an enhanced individual and turns them in? Then what? This is a direct violation of the Sixth Amendment (The right of all citizens of the US to a speedy and fair trial)
It’s also in direct violation of the eighth amendment (A ban on extreme punishments for crime, with a focus on ‘cruel and unusual’, and on excessive fines or bail.
The use of technology to bestow individuals with innate superhuman capabilities is strictly regulated, as is the use and distribution of highly advanced technology (such as Asgardian and Chitauri weaponry). The creation of self-aware artificial intelligence is completely prohibited.
The Avengers will no longer be a private organization and will operate under the supervision of the United Nations.
Tell me again how this isn’t a violation of human rights?
Just because someone is part of the majority, doesn't mean they're correct, some of ya’ll are way too old to not know that 🥴 Steve actually did read the Accords, in fact, in the movie, he's the only one who was shown to be reading them. Look below. I guess he’s reading the dinner menu from Olive Garden or something
Tumblr media
Tony Stark was in charge of that company from age 21. He was responsible for what was happening and he should've been paying better attention to what was going on in HIS company. Why do Tony Stans feel the need to defend some forty year old man who should know better?
He DID manufacture weapons. He admitted to that over the course of his films, to claim otherwise is willfully ignorant.
War Profiteer - Any person or organization that derives profit from warfare or by selling weapons and other goods to parties at war. Hmm 🧐, it seems as if you're the one who doesn't actually know the definition of the words. Because that's EXACTLY what Tony did. I mean, did you forget the big 'ol Stark Industries logo on the bomb that nearly killed him? On the one that killed Wanda’s parents? How do you think he made his fortune?
Tumblr media
He never made fun of anyone's trauma? He was the same dude that called Steve 'Capsicle', Bucky the 'Manchurian Candidate', he tried to get Bruce to turn into the Hulk on the helicarrier... And he didn't create BARF, Quentin Beck did and he stole his work. Once again, explained in the movies.
Tumblr media
Ultron was from the framework of Tony's mind, again, explained in the movies. The movie also explained that Thor allowed him to STUDY the mind stone, not USE it. Tony went behind everyone's back and coerced Bruce into helping him create Ultron. What did Thor and Wanda have to do with that? He's a grown man, he's responsible for his own actions. It upsets a lot of Tony Stans, but he was wrong. Get over it.
Are you a troll? Because none of what you're saying makes any sense. You know what they say about intentions? Tony was wrong to create Ultron. We're all willingly blind, but you're the one who isn't using facts.
Tumblr media
Please do tell what laws Steve Rogers broke 🙄. Steve was an actual Captain as evident on his military uniform and how was he not a soldier? Because YOU said so? Dude fought in WWII and now he's not a soldier? Ha! Him refusing to sign the Accords was noble and in the end, the correct decision, there's nothing arrogant about protecting the little guy. I guess Peter Parker is arrogant, too. And by the way, the same Accords that you're backing, guess who actually broke them? Your golden boy, Tony ☺️ He wasn’t even supposed to be in Siberia, they should’ve thrown him in the Raft and ate the key. He's never been about accountability. Only arrogance, selfishness and greed. It's funny you say that Cap is the reason other countries fear the US, but actually, it's the billionaire, war profiteer that went over to Middle East and started murdering people because he wanted to. Oops. When Thanos came along, who did the people want help from? The same Avengers they wanted arrested two years prior.
Tumblr media
Tell me, if he was so about accountability? Why isn’t he in prison? Why did he create these glasses (as seen above)? Why did he shoot Sam unprovoked? Why did he continue to make weapons? Why did he sit around for five years and do nothing? Why did he bring Peter to Germany? Why did he try to kill Bucky instead of finding Hydra? Why did he push his company off on Pepper? Why didn’t he call Steve before it was too late? Why did he expose Clint’s family?
Don’t come on here and swear at me and disrespect me. I don’t like it, it’s not cute. I am more than willing to have a discussion as long as it remains respectful.

Fv¢k irondad. Peter Parker will NEVER TRUST Tony Stark with ANYTHING.
I'm jealous that the MCU have killed off this atrocious unapologetic Pro Registration BASTARD.
This billionare FLATSCAN MUGGLE TRASH Pro Registration, Pro BIGOTRY, HUMAN SUPREMACIST RACIST BASTARD is still alive in the comics.
I hope the Mutants fv¢king kills this GESTAPO BASTARD.

Yet again, team cap stans on ao3 calling Irondad toxic and abusive. Like um???
all this while they think Wanda is a kid because Steve said so and they think it was morally okay for Steve to bring said (untrained) kid to a mission in Lagos and then make her a war criminal after illegally crossing international borders. but sure, irondad and spiderson is toxic and abusive 🙄

since i’m bored, i want to make a long list of every peter/tony reaction since civil war, all the way up until ffh, and state as to why tony stark is an awful mentor to peter.
PLEASE IF YOU ARE A TONY STARK STAN DO NOT READ THIS OR LEAVE HATE COMMENTS OR I STG
1. In Civil War, Tony first meets peter while chatting with may, who openly hates him
2. and while tony and peter enter his room to chat about the “internship” tony then blackmails peter into going to berlin with him to fight, by saying that he’ll expose him as spiderman
3. peter agrees, and proceeds to get his butt kicked at the fight with PROFESSIONALS, and ends up severly bruised on his eye, leaving may to worry about her nephew
4. worst part was that tony never clarified why he was fighting, and lied about how old he was to the team.
5. tony neglects him for the next two months, and passes him onto happy, who didn’t care too much about him either
6. when peter finds out that the vulture is planning to do some destructive things with the alien weapons, he tells stark, who proceeds to ignore him and wave off the situation, making peter feel neglected ONCE AGAIN
7. then comes the scene on the ship where peter is fighting the vulture, but gets distracted when fbi agents show up ONLY TO TRY TO TAKE BOTH HIM AND THE VULTURE DOWN
8. the vulture gets away, and since peter failed, THIS was the only time tony actually showed up to yell at him about messing up
9. and it was canon in the movie that tony said “everyone thought I was crazy for recruiting a fifteen year-old” which doesn’t make sense because number one
10. no one knew his age
11. he once again made it all about himself
12. when all is said and done, tony only gives him the suit back to get on his good side which unfortunately worked
13. in infinty war, peter disobeys tony by going on the spaceship with him and strange, where tony proceeds to ignore him and wave off everything he was suggesting they do to get off the ship
14. and that’s basically it for iw because that’s the only “father-son” interaction they had
15. tony yells at steve that he lost peter to the snap as if it were steve’s fault
16. then they only really show him and peter together in a photo from years ago, trying to encourage stark to “create time travel”
17. and when peter finally gets back from the snap, tony hugs him, which is what a lot of tony stans gush about. that’s what i don’t understand
18. yes a hug might mean a lot to them, but honestly peter had been trying to hug him for six years and only got one after tony realized what he had been missing
19. peter goes to the funeral blah blah
20. and the only thing I have to say about ffh is that it was iron man 5, because it was centered around the mourning of tony and how much everyone missed him, when most of Peter’s ptsd was caused by him, along with the DEADLY glasses stark gave to him
i want yall to know that if tony somehow took on the father figure role for peter, peter would be the brattiest, most spoiled kid in the mcu, and would never mention uncle ben again, even tho ben ACTUALLY raised him.

Irondad baffles me still. I mean Tony *checks notes* blackmailed a high schooler into joining a fire fight between some of the most powerful people on earth without telling him why or what the fight is about, basically abandoned him afterwards, only to show up when he makes a mistake and berate him— as if Peter was supposed to know help was coming when nobody told him so. So WHY did so many stans look at that and think “omg what a wholesome father/son relationship <3”????

Sometimes I think about how we never got to see:
·       Any of the fallout from May learning Peter’s secret
·       Any of the mental and emotional process she went through to be okay with the Spider-man stuff
·       Any of the emotional fallout of her and the person she loves most in the world vanishing for 5 goddamn years
·       Any backstory about her iteration of this character, at all. Literally anything. I guess she used to go to house parties in the suburbs as a teenager though, so how dare I complain about lack of content
I think about these things, and then I loathe, truly loathe, Feige and Watts.

Ca:cw team leaders recruiting:
Tony: *Kidnaps, lies to, manipulates, and blackmails a 14-year old that tried to say no several times*
Some people: Aw! Such a cute father-son relationship!
Steve: *Recruits a team that is made up of trained legal adults and makes sure that they all are aware of the situation so that they can give informed consent*
Some people: Look at how Steve drags in people to fight! He is so selfish!
Anyone with some critical thinking skills and basic common sense:

Does MCU Peter even remember Uncle Ben?
And can you MCU fans just shut up about Tony Stark? He’s just a fictional character, not some national real-life hero.

Anti Irondad fic recommendations please
I have seen ones written by myself, Phillipe363 and perhaps bl4ckhunter but I was wondering if you can help me find anti Irondad fics. Here is some criteria I am after:
* Any argument has Peter in the right and he gets to point out that he was the one that was kidnapped to fight in Tony’s fight and peter now realises he was on the wrong side and the ferry incident only happened because Tony was dismissive and never made any attempt to Let Peter know he was forwarding information to authorities
* Peter tells Tony that he is not his dad and never has to take it back
* Aunt My acknowledged as Peter’a only real living parental figure
* just to be curious I wouldn’t mind if Morgan was involved like post Endgame and Peter decides he wants nothing more to do with the Stark family, he has to gently let the girl know Tony was never really a dad to him
* Peter was on Steve’s side from the beginning, like maybe Steve in civilian clothes spots Spider-Mn and ends up helping him learn to fight with his powers and doesn’t drag him into the civil war because that would be irresponsible. While also encouraging peter to tell Aunt May when he is ready

Remember this [Post]? Yeah, I got some changes, some reasons for them, and a long rant. Because of a Certain Character.
I still ship: Romanogers (otp, I feel like they work so much better as a pair as they had actual chemistry and it spanned multiple films. A travesty), Thunderscience (again, better chemistry that with anyone else they could potentially be with. Granted it was mostly in a THOR movie and tidbits from within IW), Danbeau (Harold, they are married lesbians and they have a daughter. I feel like this was part of my lesbian awakening, not because I find the ladies hot - I don't, but that's Ace for you - but the music is just amazing and just the clothes were incredible), Scarletvision (it's not hurting anyone, it's cute, I wish they had more moments together in the main movies)
And my Crackship: Thundershield (it's a fun thing to think about)
Why I don't ship certain ships: yeah.. I don't ship Pepper/T*ny or Ironhusbands. You'll notice a theme here. So rewatching the MCU, I discovered I can't stand T*ny St*rk. I hate his attitude and his actions and the way he treated Parker and Harley and there are A TON more posts going about how fucked up of a person this hypocrite narcissist is. Oh, his parents are dead? Guess who else's parents are dead: early 2000's (Sam Rami) Peter Parker! The BEST Spiderman because he wasn't some rich asshole's spastic teen sugar baby. I guess Garfield's Spidey is cool too, at the time I wasn't into Spidey. (Anyone know where I can watch his movies?)
So I agree with Pietro and Wanda, who wanted revenge on Tony because it was HIS bomb that destroyed their lives, regardless of which fuckers actually used it, they are ACTUAL VICTIMS of his weapons - I feel like even the franchise directors forgot this IMPORTANT DETAIL - so yeah. There's that.

I love the growth of a character that profited off of manufacturing and selling bombs and needed over thirty years to figure out that said bombs do, in fact, kill people, without caring about who they affected until one nearly killed him.
The character development of someone who belittles everyone else’s trauma and makes off-colored jokes is so stellar.
I can’t believe that someone has been forced to learn lesson after lesson during every single movie he’s in, only to repeat the very same mistakes, but on a larger scale, isn’t loved by everyone!
He’s so great! He’s so much better than everyone else!
Tossing watermelons and shooting repulsers at them with tons of people in the room while drunk? I bet no one else could do it better.
Giving out his address to a known terrorist? Amazing.
Belittling children? We love that.
Why can’t all heroes be like this?
The whole, “I’m going to create a robot that will end up leveling an entire country, causing the death of thousands?” He did it without a second thought, but he felt guilty after, so it’s cool.
In fact, he was so guilty, that he decided to try to force him teammates to sign away their rights just so that he could feel better.
Kidnapping a child? Is it really kidnapping if he was the one who did it? I mean, after all, it doesn’t really matter that the kid’s guardian had no idea what was going on. This kid could stop a car with his bare hands! It didn’t really matter that he said no several times! He doesn’t know what he wants!
Then after, he tried to murder an innocent POW, just to hurt his teammate.
To me, this is what a real hero is.
While everyone was suffering in the Raft, he just shrugged it off like it was nothing and kept it pushing.
Cool!
Those sunglasses that were created, the ones that had the ability to launch a drone strike? He was totally in the right for creating those. They were harmless!
He has an excuse! He has PTSD! He has anxiety! He should be able to do all of those things and get away with it!
No one should questions his morals or dislike him for that! I mean, did they even watch the movies?
Anyone else who doesn’t see all of these great qualities obviously didn’t pay attention. How could they not see how much growth he’s had over the course of all those movies?
🙄🙄🙄

To Tony fv¢king Stark, The LAW is to be obeyed, up until the LAW is applied to him.
This hypocritical FLATSCAN MUGGLE trash who became a GESTAPO in enforcing the SHRA, putting Super HEROES in his Negative Zone Auschwitz FOR LIFE for the "crime" of NOT REGISTERING, Make them SUFFER until they comply,
suddenly Tony RUNS AWAY AS A FUGITIVE like the hypocritical little coward bitch he is when the LAW is used against him.

Literally just seen someone say lets be honest Peter would kill all the rogues for Tony! Like, that's how messed up they are, they butchered Peters character just for Tony while they get so damn mad that Steve would risk so much to save his friend Bucky. Really makes me think these ppl are overcompensating to make it seems like Tony is so loveable and will be protected at all costs by other characters uwu. I wonder if that's why woobie fic of him is so popular even tho it makes no damn sense.
spider-man doesn't kill! well, i mean, yes. he has killed a few people, but peter parker has a pretty staunch rule against murder
also,,, stark has pretty clearly shown that he isn't against killing someone. like he has a really, really thin tether that is easily broken
