hi Nivi ♥️ this sounds fun. I KNOW I WROTE A LOT BUT I WAS DOING SOUL SEARCHING and i hope you read all of it. No two from one piece huh? Alright then:

1. Haley James Scott from One Tree Hill

starting with the ones I kin the most, Haley (until she decided to give up her dream college and didn't get an abortion) is the most relatable character I've ever seen. I feel on the outside of a lot of things in life even though I can charm my way into everywhere, it takes a lot out of me in this way, being what people want you to be. Someone who also loves endlessly and unconditionally. That's what I admire the most in her.

2. Holly Golightly from Breakfast At Tiffany's (the BOOK NOT THE MOVIE)

Audrey's a fashion icon, there's no doubt but I've read the movie summary and they've butchered the soul of the book, its theme, its meaning-

if I were Truman Capote i would simply not write another book in my lifetime. ANYWAY. Holly is a sad, rude, gorgeous and lively spirit. The narrator of the book is unnamed and Holly calls him Fred for Fred, her long lost brother who was the only family she spoke of voluntarily. Holly's society card always says "miss holly Golightly- travelling" which can be interpreted in a myriad of ways, you can find your own once you read the book, Nivi. The narrator is also heavily implied to be queer and the only person who isn't sexually attracted to Holly and THEY RUINED THEIR RELATIONSHIP IN THE MOVIE. Do not get me started. Conclusion: Breakfast at tiffany's is the feminist Catcher in the Rye and also fuck hollywood.

3. Dream of the Endless - The Sandman, Netflix

I don't read comics so I just went into the show blind. And I want this show to eat me. It's so unpredictable and wild. Morpheus is a prideful entity first and foremost. A loyal one but petty beyond anything. I find his personality so very fitting considering he oversees both dreams and nightmares. I almost wrote about the Corinthian (I HAVE DONE MY BEST TO BE WHAT YOU MADE ME) but I don't understand them very well yet whereas Dream feels like my best friend. His fraught relationship with Calliope is so delicate I want to boop it to see if it'll blast.

4. Anne Shirley - Anne of Green Gables, Lucy maud Montgomery

Man, anne is who tween me was before the parental trauma hit. Talks too much, obsessed with my own hair, obsessed with literature, obsessed with violence against boys, romanticizes my name and my life to mean something anything. I could go on and on. But there's this line right before Matthew dies: something about this being the last day her heart would be light and full of pure happiness. Because once you lose someone to death, your heart is never the same.

5. Daenerys Targaryen

My GIRL DESERVES THE THRONE. Okay so i have the 7 book boxed set right? worst decision. ever. i gave up in the middle of second last one and I refuse to pick it up again until GRRM gives a real update on Winds of Winter. not to mention those last two books are unbearable because Dany has no chapters. THE PART WHERE SHE FREES THE SLAVES. I'm fully on board with her villain era but not the rushed way they killed her journey in the show idk tho i haven't seen the show. aaaaaaaaaaa-

6. Alec Lightwood

I read tmi so long ago and I felt this connection to Alec. It's probably the Older Sibling Of A Family Balanced On a Nail energy we have in common, where we just give away pieces of ourselves to keep others happy. It makes me happy to see him happy as an adult. It makes me feel like that could happen for me too.

7. Regina George from Mean Girls

Um, this was Edmund Pevensie five mins ago but you know what, I love Regina too much. Tina Fey's writing>>>>> and Rachel McAdams>>>>> and the way Regina never backs down from threats. Her manipulation is so subtle she doesn't even raise her voice or sound unpleasant until the end of the movie. I think Regina George and Kaz Brekker would learn from each other. Masters of the mind.

8. The Night Circus

Yeah. No characters, just the circus. The feeling of it. I think it's big enough don't you? Its immortality and love shines through even when one of the sisters is gone, when Marco and Celia are gone, they aren't, not really.

9. Mirabel from Starless Sea

There's a major part of who Mirabel actually is which is a huge spoiler, if you've read this book I'll tell you. But basically, I love how kind Mirabel tries to be given who she is.

10. Marinette Dupain Cheng from Miraculous Ladybug

my lady, my bestie, my twin sister. she's so anxious and carrying the weight of Paris with no one to share it with her except her cat partner. I just love this animated kids show and I wish other teens did too so I could talk about it more. My life these days revolves around fanfics of Marinette and Adrien. I debated choosing Adrien or Luka or Kagami because MLB has only relatable, sad teenagers trying to find love and fighting badly dressed super villains.

Thoughts on Thomas and Alastair reading red white and Royal blue together in modern AU.

uhm yES PLEASE

This contains spoilers for Red, White and Royal Blue. Enjoy!

Imagine them in bed right after dinner cause they're one of those couples who ditch their friends to read

Thomas coming back home with this book Matthew and Cordelia have been ranting about for the past weeks

And Alastair is weirded out by the fact that he has two copies, "Why would you buy two?"

Thomas just shrugs, "I didn't. Cordelia gave me hers, cause she told me you'd spoil anything the second you read it."

They settle in bed and Alastair waits until Thomas is ten pages in to start his, cause Cordelia wasn't wrong about him spoiling everything

Thomas is a calm reader, only crying when you're supposed to cry and reading a book without having to talk about it for the rest of your life

Alastair is the complete opposite

He frowns and screams at the books and always goes to Thomas to make him read single sentences before starting to rant about what fucked up shit the characters are doing

Thomas usually doesn't understand anything of what he says, but he also stops doing whatever he's doing, focusing all his attention on Alastair until he just storms out of the room to continue reading the book

Alastair is also a ugly crier when it comes to books

And a thrower

He once hit Thomas by mistake and it was because of a character's death. Imagine his guilt just adding to his grief and picture a very distraught Alastair while he's being coddled by his boyfriend

Alastair has laughed and chuckled way too many times in Thomas' opinion, but hasn't commented on anything yet

Until, "Oh my sweet jesus, bOY YOUR GAY IS SHOWING."

Thomas has to laugh at that and turns towards him, "What happened?"

Alastair is shaking his head in disbelief, "Alex is hating Henry with every fiber of his body one page and then he's brushing his posters the next? He's dumb."

"He reminds me of someone." he mutters

Alastair ignores him

"I'm living for Henry calling Alex out on his shit behaviour." Alastair whispers at some point, with a large smile on his face

Something hits Thomas on the leg and when he looks up he notices Alastair with his eyes and mouth wide, "The cAKE!"

"Homoerotic frat bro mishap - gotta love this woman."

"Tom," he calls him, "have you ever hate-read my wikipedia page?"

"You don't have a wik-"

"But, honestly, who does he think he's fooling? This boy is dumb dumb." He laughs, "Mad stupid."

From time to time Thomas just hears "Stan Zahra." or "Stan Ellen." and he just smiles

At some point Alastair just screams-laughs and goes "I'm going to thROW UP ON YOU, I'M DYING." before falling silent again without any trace of amusement seconds later

Thomas is startled when Alastair screech, "BABYY!"

"What?"

"ALEX IS SAYING HENRY'S SKIN IS SOFT."

Thomas is enjoying the book just as much, but he can't wait for the moment when they both realise they like each other, so he just keeps reading

"Alex was fAST starting to see Henry as a human being and not some kind of monster."

"Oh my god, why is Alex being such a dickhead-"

After a few minutes of silence, Alastair gasps, bringing his book higher and buring his face between the pages before screeching again.

"WHAT'S GOING OOON?"

Thomas snorts with wide eyes

"HE'S CHECKING FOR HENRY'S TEXTS!!!"

After a while, Alastair turns to Thomas, brushing his arm, "Are you liking it?"

He nods, "I like the fact that Henry uses capitals at the beginning of his texts while Alex doesn't, it's the little things."

During The Turkey Scene™️ Alastair just loses it and Thomas has to stop reading to calm him down

"Oh god Tom fucking finally-" he turns to Thomas, "Henry looks fucking rested for once."

Thomas nods again, "And Alex noticed."

That makes a wide grin spread over Alastair's face

Thomas understands he's reached the New Year's Eve when all he can hear from Alastair are gasps and curses

"NO. NONONO. NOO!" Alastair hits Thomas on the arm, "Alex just kissed Nora and Henry ran away."

Thomas smirks, "Just keep reading."

"THEY'RE KISSING. GOD YES. THEY'RE KISSING."

"NOOOOO!" Alastairs screams, "WHY DID HE LEAVE WTF?!?!"

"Thomas I'm breaking up with you if you don't tell me now this is gonna be fixed somehow in the next three pages."

Thomas just clicks his tongue, shaking his head

"Wha-" Alastair just huffs a laugh. He turns to Thomas, pointing to the book, "Baby have you read this? Alex is- He thinks he's what now?" He's straight up laughing now, "Straight?!"

"He did what with Liam?"

"This is literally the gayest shit I've ever read in my life."

"Nah ha, I don't believe it."

"How can he think he's straight?"

"Oh god they watched porn together- HE JERKED HIM OFF."

Alastair just hits his head against the headboard, "I didn't think I'd have to go through the who the fuck am I in this book. I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY CLEAR JUST BY THE FACT THAT HE FUCKING CARESSED HENRY'S POSTERS."

"AND THEN THIS NEVERENDING LIST OF GAY THINGS."

Alastair panicked for a short time when Henry was seen with that blonde but started screeching again after a moment

Thomas bursts into laughter when he heard Alastair mutters God save the Queen

"'I want you on the bed.' OH JESUS CHRIST THOMAS IT'S US."

"Tom?"

Thomas turns when he hears the hesitancy in his boyfriend's voice. Alastair's face is red and he's biting his lower lip

"You okay? What part are you reading?"

"No, uhm," Alastair scratches his head, "can we -" he clears his voice, "Can we make out?"

Thomas blinks a couple of times, "Sure."

A heavy make out session ensues before they both can start reading again

"We need to buy cupcakes tomorrow." Alastair mutters at some point, chewing on his lip

"Thomas this fucking book is the best thing I've ever read. I'm loving it so much."

Alastair closes the book around midnight, but Thomas knows he's not finished. He doesn't look his way thinking he's just gonna go to the bathroom

When Thomas senses him move around on the sheets and lay his head on hip lap, he closes the book too and look down at his boyfriend

"What's going on? We just made out."

Alastair grunts in his legs and looks up at him, "You're my match."

Thomas doesn't understand, but he smiles and leans down to kiss him

He resumes reading and realises Alastair had read more than him when he reaches Alex's and Ellen's conversation about matches. Thomas looks at Alastair once again and pesters him with kisses

It's around 3am when Alastair starts yawning

"Alas, you should go to bed."

He shakes his head, "No, I'm not tired, I wanna finish the book."

"The book will be here tomorrow."

"I don't care."

He drops the fight, knowing perfectly fine that he'll never win this

Alastair can be quite impressive when he finds something he likes - especially when it's books

"Fucking homophobes."

"I'm gonna riot if somebody doesn't let Alex call Henry right the fuck now."

"HENRY ASKED ALEX IF HE IS OKAY? BABY WE'RE WORRIED ABOUT YOU."

The end of the book is read so fast that Thomas can't keep up with him and is now more than 20 pages back

Alastair is a crying and screaming mess by the end of it and Thomas has never seen him so upset in their time together

He's just spoiled the whole book for him, but he doesn't care. He doesn't care that it's now 5am and they have work in a couple of hours, cause Alastair just looks his way with wide eyes and his mouth open as if he's just realized something shocking

"Oh my god, did Pez, June and Nora had a threesome in that hotel room?"

Hi y’all! My name’s Anne and this is my sideblog! Funnily enough, this blog was technically my first one, but I never posted anything on it, so I’m resurrecting it! anyways uk i am kinda useless and am not exaggerating. i dont read as much,, i try! bUT my brain is dumb. i haven't literally finished a single book from at least September after the lost book of the white and didnt read when it was quarentine here and wait i didnt read when i came here too so yeah great almost nothing since 2 years so yeah.

however i have read some uk or else i wouldn't be on tumblr cause tumblr is the ultimate book nerd trying-to-be social media

i have read everything in tsc except chain of iron, i literally cant get past chapter 10 fuck cc for doing what she did

harry potter is a given, it was my first book i think many gen z desis get into reading through that only or wimpy kid if u one of the kids with comparatively cooler parents or a cool older sibling

divergent series,, am not a wild fan tho

hunger games WHICH I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING A D O R E i love it so much but i dont talk about it much cause it's literally |this| close to perfect

Life Lately

Its the last Sunday for the month of February! And it only means one thing. Another entry post for my The Sunday Currently! Can you believe it? We’re on to Vol. 5! Yey!

So it kinda feel odd that 27 days have passed just like that. There are many things that happened, at least for me, in my life. And, I want to share my thoughts about current events worldwide. I think I forgot to write it out earlier when I do my morning pages. So yeah, here I am, I’ll be rambling on and on about whatever thoughts cross my mind. Bear with me!

CURRENTLY

READING: A blog post. This is from my favorite kdrama blogger, @kfangurl. Let me share it with you. Here’s a link to the current post I’m reading. I mean, the lyrics are so damn good! What an eargasm. It just hits you right into your heart! I love love love it, esp this one that goes:

THINKING: About what to write? LOL! Maybe I’ll start by sharing my account for the last three days.

SMELLING: Honestly, I can’t use my olfactory sense. Feelin’ I might have started a mild cold or something. Oh no!

WISHING: To make up for the lost time. Well, I’m 3 articles due and here I am stressing out about it because, I supposed to be in sync with my writing calendar schedule.

I mean, for sure. There are many things that happened, just for this week alone. I trade time for money, but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t go out there and have some fun, right? I was just a bit worried because I don’t want unending piles of unfinished business.

But then, great things take time, right? Hence, although I’m stressing over my due articles, well, I can’t blame the lack of time. These articles top up 3k+ words and more, depending on the complexity of topic. I’m also out of words, most of the time.

My pomodoro method is like 20 mins of work and typing 500+ words then 2 hours or more of watching, eating, and doing personal stuff. LOL.

HOPING: For the Ukraine vs. Russia’s conflict to resolved. Nobody wants war. It scares the shit out of me; with all these potential WWIII that circulating over the internet. It got me thinking about the borrowed and temporary life and peace we enjoy today. I mean, our country may be far away from these lands, but isn’t the first world war started at that region as well,? Just the thought of these war going on makes me depressed and overthink about what other potential things could happen. What if China go berserk and go against us? I mean, what are the odds?

Praying for Ukraine. For the innocent people affected by this adversity. For the leaders to unite, and for Putin to wake up and realized his actions. Hoping for everything to go back to how it used to be.

What the hell did Putin even want? Only he knows.

I hope and pray for world peace. It’s something I’ve taken for granted for awhile now. All those war theme and The Diary of Young Girl, Anne Frank- comes back to me. I just hope that this war ends and everything will go back to normal.

We can’t afford it right now, esp us living in the third world country. We’ve barely even survived the pandemic and just starting out to recover and this upcoming worldwide crisis? We are at a huge disadvantage.

NEEDING: Extra time. I need more time to do all my stuff esp to catch up on my writings. Btw, I think I have shared already that I FINALLY GOT MY DREAM JOB! (can’t wait to update my LinkedIn profile hahaha!) And now I’m on the process of accomplishing the pre-employment requirements. What a blessing in disguise that my official program won’t start until later than next month. This means, more time to prepare and do all my stuff.

Finally! I’ve secured the job and this March, I’m looking forward to my month long preparation and coming to terms into peace for all those hobbies I neglect, must fix, and ditch.

For sure, I’m going to miss the freelance work-from-home life and I’ve learned so much. But it’s also time for me to go and see the outside world, I’m missing working onsite and I’m all ready for that.

Actually, I’m going to disappear for a month and I’ll plan my March with an intention of MINDFULNESS. Now I know what areas to improve and I must fix, I’m going to make it right once more. We were given another new chances in life everyday, and all we can do is make the most out of it.

FEELING: Sick. Remember how I didn’t have a sense of smell? Well, I can confirm that I now have a cold. I also feel tired for no reason at all. I took a nap for two hours this afternoon and I still feel sleepy. My body wants to lay down. I hope this is nothing sort of serious. Maybe the stress kicking in.

Did I mention that Zuko get lost for almost 24 hours last Thursday? As the curious cat that she is, she forgot her way home. I thought Mama and Papa were just kidding, but then when we got home that day, she really wasn’t there.

All sorts of negative feelings came rushing through. Now I understand and realized, this must be what parent’s feels like when their child get lost or go away without words at all.

I was worried sick the whole night, I barely get sleep. I was wondering where Zuko went and how is she. Did someone took her, abuse her, or whatever. How did she eat- all that stuff. My heart just started to break down into tiny little pieces.

Thankfully, the morning after, she came back. Thanks to Papa’s extra effort to climb the roof, shout her name, and search for her. Zuko was just at a faraway neighbor’s roof, just standing still.

I wonder if cats feel afraid too if they get lost? One thing is for sure. We’re keeping tabs on Zuko and we won’t allow her to wander again just like that. Although, it’s really part of her, you know, in heat phase, I can’t risk losing her. I’m so attached with my furry friends and I just felt enormous love and care for them. They’re like my practice child? HAHAHAHHA. But, kidding aside, I do love and care for my feline pets.

Another noteworthy to share is that we ate Kimchi Fried Rice! The idea was mine and I made at least 25% of the effort while Wendell did all the cooking part. Hahahah! Nevertheless, it tasted so good, we ate much to our heart’s content.

We also went on a carnival date with our friends. It was just fine. I didn’t enjoy much as I thought I would be. Its because of all these stupid Final Destination jokes and all that ridiculous stuff. It scared the shit out of me again! Of course, who wouldn’t? Not long after when I watched the recent incident in a theme park that week.

So I was really you know, trying to enjoy, have a good time, but also getting too worried sick and cautious about all that “what-if’s.”

Wendell and I got henna tattoos! Mine was heavenly bodies alignment and his were a tree with full on branches and leaves.

It was romantic, noisy, exhausting, fun, all at the same time. I can’t wait to have more dates with my Pi.
