How long does it take you usually to fulfill requests? They seem fairly detailed 🤔

i'll be completely honest, i don't really know! i mean, it depends on exactly what you mean. sometimes it takes weeks for me to even get to some requests with how my inbox is (the oldest one right now is from the very beginning of december, so sorry if you've been waiting that long!!), but from sketching to the finished piece varys greatly

my estimate is anywhere between 20-30 minutes to a few hours. i think there's only been a few times where it takes me multiple days, and thats usually when i start them right before going to bed

#it also depends on which artstyle i use #because when i use the animal crossing-esque one it takes a lot less time and effort (which is why most of the time when i draw all the lib #i use that one)#the more realistically proportioned one takes longer #this is a really interesting question thank you for asking!!#ive never really thought about how long it takes me. like you'd think i can check the canvas information #but i do all my art on the same canvas #so that's not gonna work #i can tell you that my most recent canvas took 17h #and usually they take somewhere between 15-20h #so there's that #definitely an ask #every so often there will be an ask that i get and i'm immediately like 'that HAS to be drawn'#and in that case i let it skip the queue a little bit so to say #for example. when im sad i pick a random boy jerry request to make myself feel worse (joke)#WAHOO I SHOVED A BOY JERRY MENTION IN HERE MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Very obscure reference but this wine has Gunthy from Techno Banter (as yet unreleased indie club bouncer game by Dexai Arts) energy!

#I played Techno Banter demo at A.Maze Berlin and it was great!#it resonated with me since I work part time in a bar/nightclub #I feel like Gunthy could easily have her own wine range #good for her #it also has a lovely art style #characters are 2D pixelart but environments are 3D #also half of the characters are animals #and they talk like Animal Crossing characters #it's weird but I like it #it doesn't have furry energy (don't have anything against furries but I feel like a lot of furry content has a very specific vibe/artstyle)#can't wait to play it

Back in 2013-2014 my depression was pretty bad, and I used to play animal crossing all the time to distract myself. When this weird anteater moved into my acnl town, I thought he was weird at first, mean, then I talked to him everyday and discovered how sweet he really was. Since then I love Cyrano, I even have a custom made plush of him I hug when I’m feeling sad, he’s always there for me, I know it, I read the letters he always send me, I don't even play ac anymore, but I boot the game from time to time to check on him.

I keep seeing these ads for a landlord simulation-type phone game, and yes these people are supposed to be your(the player's) tenants.

....I'm not the only one who sees something darkly dystopian about this, right? I'm not reading too much into this?

#look I have nothing against games that let people play as shitty people #I played a game that made me play as a bumbling dictator and had a blast!#but this.... it's the soulless cutesy artstyle coupled with a complete lack of irony nor an ounce of self awareness for me #also they keep advertising this as a 'healing' 'wholesome' and 'stress-free' game #mmari rambles #okay to rb #tumblr ads #google ads #hell world #marx's dehumanization of labor something something #I mean we already know landlords only see us as walking wallets to sink their straws into #but they didn't have to say the quiet part out loud #look I get what they're going for #but there's a reason animal crossing makes us play as a mayor and not a slum lord
