love thinking about naming trends in the warrior cats universe. like some parents being literal like spottedleaf and redtails parents. or the ones who name after physical/other characteristics like heavystep or longtail. or honor naming, but i feel like every series and their mother does that. or matchy matchy parents like mintfur and sagenose. or thinking about “new age” type moms who come up with it on the spot/it having to do with the birth (crookedstar was originally named stormkit for the storm that shook the oak tree he was born in. oakheart.) just thinking about queens talking about it like how moms do on name forums. so so interesting

Hello hello, i just wanna say i absolutely love your Galacta Knight and Meta Knight comic it RUINED my brain in the best way possible.
you made a very cool language that i would love to figure out how exactly it works and the grammar behind it and just Everything you’re willing to share. I’m being sent into brainrot and i’m Living for it!!!!
ohhhh thank you thank you soo much! i'm so excited to hear i am infecting other people with my brainrot! truly the highest of praise, thank you!
I don't have 100% of the language figured out or anything and it is very much a work in progress (i tend to iron out + develop new things as i need them), but it- like all languages- is very tied into the culture of its speakers!
here's one of my personal favourite parts, the 'Reverse Possessive':
Tumblr media
my version of Starspeak lacks pronouns and has limited possessives: one for yourself (ei), one for someone who you are actively addressing (eu), and one for Anyone/Anything Else (ey).
if you needed to refer to someone else in particular you would use their name, rank, or a relationship designator. Celestial culture is extremely hierarchal and formal relationship designators are very precise, which means they are quite varied and can work almost as titles or second-names
with only one word for all versions of a possessive, the location of it impacts the entire function of a phrase. to explain this I'll use a word I've previously introduced, Vaýtita, which also happens to be a relationship designator.
you could use this word on its own, like a name, though very commonly it is used with a prefix possessive; ei Vaýtita (my Vaýtita). you could also refer to someone else's gravity the way you might refer to a spouse or partner, eu Vaýtita or ey Vaýtita (your Vaýtita // its Vaýtita).
reverse possessives function a little differently, and usually tie into hierarchy. in Starspeak using the suffix -ei translates best to "which possesses me."
so when adding it and making Vaýtita-ei, the Vaýtita is put into a position of possessing the speaker, and it translates as the Gravity which possesses me.
you would only really say it this way if you were insanely fuckin' serious about the person you were referring to, because it implies that you are wholly and completely consumed by this force in your life. there are however other designators where it is much more common to use a reverse-possessive to identify that you are, in terms of relationship hierarchy and responsibility, deferent to that person
for instance, the central rank of a Star System, Ílioz (the Sun) is quite frequently used with the reverse possessive by all orbiters or lesser stars. they would say Ílioz-ei (the Sun that possesses me) out of respect and/or love and/or fear
you could similarly add the suffixes -eu or -ey if you knew the formal relationship of the person/s you were referring to (ie: Ílioz-eu, the Sun that possesses you), or even derogatorily
this is getting long so i will wrap it up here, but if you'd like to know anything else please please ask!! i obviously delight in talking about it and could go on for paragraphs more, i just don't want to make too huge of a text wall! but i would be more than happy to answer any other queries about any words or specific phrases or grammar or so on!!
thank you again so so much for your interest and for asking 🥺🥺💝

Alright, so I finished the designs for the kumidark swap au
I don’t know whether to talk about the designs first or the characters. Eh, probably the characters so that people get the context
So like I described in the original post, the swap au is basically where Dark Choco and Kumiho swap places, with Dark Choco being the magic fox while Kumiho is the disgraced warrior
And as you can tell in the image, their names were also changed, particularly since Kumiho is named after being a kumiho, which she no longer is. I named Dark Choco Dark Kumiho because he’s now a kumiho, and put on the Dark prefix because it differentiates him from Kumiho, and also because he generally had darker colors, so it works. As for Kumiho, her name’s Marshmallow Fluff because Kumiho is called a marshmallow fox, but the name Marshmallow Cookie is already taken, so Marshmallow Fluff it is. I’m gonna be referring to the characters as such moving forward
So as might be evident, not only have they swapped roles, but also personalities. I’m not sure I want to call Dark Kumiho flirty, but he’s a very confident and sassy dude, who probably just follows Marshmallow Fluff to playfully tease her. However, his confident act is a facade, and in truth he’s very lonely. I’m not sure what to make his backstory though, and whether it has something to do with his father or not. The original plot point for him was that he was a male kumiho, since from what I understand, kumihos are almost all female, with me only finding one story where there was a male one (note that I originally made this au months ago, and I don’t actually remember where I found it, just that I did), so he Dark Kumiho is kind of an outsider amongst his own people, hence why he wants to become a Cookie. But I’m not sure about keeping it since that means no Dark Cacao, and I like Dark Cacao (though I’m not sure what his name would be here). Just know that Dark Kumiho probably has some tragic backstory which leaves him very lonely and wanting to be a Cookie so he can find companionship. I just haven’t decided what that backstory is yet
And as for Marshmallow Fluff, she’s far more serious than her original, and she basically goes around as a wandering mercenary, with no real end goal in mind. One idea I had (which I’m not sure I portrayed very well) is that she’s supposed to look small and kind of cute, so people don’t take her seriously, but she’s an absolute badass. But also she’s not fond of people and just spends her time being miserable. She also has some tragic backstory, either about being betrayed by someone close to her or betraying that someone herself, but I can’t really tell you specifics since, well…Kumiho really doesn’t have much lore to work with. Like other than wanting to be a real Cookie, I don’t think she has much lore, nor characters connected to it. She kind of just gets roped in with the other animal Cookies and that’s the most they do with her, and frankly I don’t think they’ll give her much lore going forward. So in terms of something connected to her canon and who this other character is, I don’t know. But the whole event basically changed her life and now she’s where she’s at. Also it’s probably where she got that scar
Okay, let’s talk about designs now
So for Dark Kumiho, I’ll be honest I think he looks much better. Probably because Dark Choco has other outfits that fit that I can work with. I gave him his long hair back since I thought it fit with him not having the same backstory as canon (I imagine Dark Choco chopped off his hair because of his betrayal, which didn’t happen here), and I basically just copy pasted his Vestments of Old Memories costume, minus the shoulderpads and cape, since I thought it worked. I gave him a ponytail instead of just having his hair down so it could allude more to fox tails, and it’s also why I gave him his white bits only at the ends
As for Marshmallow Fluff, she doesn’t really have much to work with in terms of her canon outfits, so I basically had to make things up. I knew I wanted to give her short hair, with the idea that she used to have hair like canon, but she later cut her hair short once after the betrayal event. Took me a bit to get the hair but I eventually did. So her outfit is mostly based on Dark Choco’s, though with different shoulderpads and a different bottom piece, which was inspired by some armor I saw at the Royal Armoury over here in Britain (I know I probably shouldn’t be taking inspiration from a western design for armor (specifically I believe it was French), but I’m pretty sure Dark Choco was originally designed with a more western knight look than eastern, so maybe it’s fine). I think the shoulderpads were originally going to look more like marshmallows, but that didn’t end up happening, so they look like that
Two things I didn’t originally plan to put in were Marshmallow Fluff’s eye scar and her streaks, since I didn’t envision her missing an eye and her highlights were supposed to be at the bottom of her hair, which she no longer had, but I gave Dark Kumiho Kumiho’s whisker markings and fox hair, so I thought it fair to give the eye scar and streaks to Marshmallow Fluff. Though to be honest I’m not sure I like how they turned out. Maybe I should have just stuck with two eyes and no streaks. I mean she’d still have a scar somewhere
One thing I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull off with their swap looks was keeping their original eye shapes, but honestly I think I did good and they look fine with both
Also you’ll notice that neither have weapons or accessories of any kind. That’s because I couldn’t decide what those weapons/accessories would be; whether Dark Kumiho gets a fan and Marshmallow Fluff gets a sword, whether Dark Kumiho still has a sword, whether they both have completely different things, I’m not sure. Though I suppose now I’m liking them just swapping things. Though either way Dark Kumiho still can attack with his fox form, which is frankly much bigger than a normal fox
Anyways yeah, I think that’s about it. Sorry if you’re disappointed with how little I talked about them, especially how they interact, I admit the story isn’t thought out as much as I’d like, and I think I have a hard time describing people’s personalities and how they interact with others. I’d rather just draw that or something. I hope to draw more of these two, but I say that about every new character and au, so I’m not sure I will, at least not before moving on to something else
But anyways, I hope you still enjoy it!
Edit: I made another one with the original ideas for Marshmallow Fluff, and if I’m being honest I like this one a bit more. Which one do you guys like more?

When We Bleed Lore Ramble: Language!
Hello, I am home and bored and like slightly sick, so here have a ramble:
The longer I spent on Terr’rasi the more developed the language becomes, so I figured I’d clear some stuff up!
Today we’re gonna talk about the apostrophes in the language!
So far, there is 5 reasons for them to be there:
1 ) To merge two words in order to create a new one. Best example: Terr’rasi! The first part of the word is obviously derived from the simple term Terra. The second part of the word rasi simply translates to language.
Other examples:
Kai’e —> Kai means you and e means are/to be, so kai’e becomes you are
qi’avwe —> qi’ means like and avwe means we/us so qi’avwe becomes normal (because Terra is so exclusive and so focused on bloodlines and fertility culture that only Terran culture and people can be considered the standard in their language —> it’s become so common to them that they don’t notice the, for lack of better word, micro-aggression in their language)
But it doesn’t apply to EVERY word bc grammar sucks in every language so you also have words like avwe which means we or us. a is me or I and vwe is and so avwe (we/us) literally is me and
2 ) to show ownership. For example kiia means daughter. na’kiia means my daughter. It goes na’ — my, ka’ — your and k’ — their
3 ) to negate something. we said before that qi’avwe means normal. tn’qi’avwe means different. if a word or phrase is prefaced by tn’ it becomes the opposite
4 ) to make a verb imperative. there’s two forms of this! Let’s use the word esii or quiet as an example!
a) ‘jn, which makes a word a command and can be considered rude in certain contexts. So esii’jn becomes the phrase Shut up!
b) ‘j, which makes it a polite request for action, so esii’j becomes Could you please be quiet for a moment?
5 ) phi thought it looked cool and hasn’t decided on a deeper meaning yet or if it will get one. The in-story official explanation for this is that language evolves and some older grammar rules prevail in spoken language but don’t make sense in the written form (which is a real life thing in every language so I’m good bullshitting as much as I want :D) examples: Ai’gia (cavalry), anne’eka (please)
In spoken language reasons 1, 4 and 5 can hardly be identified. Reason 2, 3 can be identified because the prefix before the apostrophe is stressed and there’s usually a short break in the word where the apostrophe is.
I hope this wasn’t too confusing and kinda semi interesting!! I def had fun rambling :D

Sdefa Sdaturday #2
Tumblr media
Last week I introduced Sdefa (aka E♭ D E F A), my musical conlang. This week, I’ll explain a bit about how it works. There are a few major aspects to the grammar of Sdefa that are heavily influenced by UNLWS, a written-only nonlinear conlang that is extremely cool. I’ll definitely be talking more about UNLWS in later posts.
I also want to mention that Sdefa is a particularly inefficient way of communicating information. Almost everything takes quite a few notes to say, to the point that even I’m often surprised at how long things end up being.
All Sdefa words are composed of a single lexical root (either four or five notes long), at least one suffix, and optionally one or more prefixes and/or more suffixes. All affixes are exactly three notes long, and are quite different from roots. While roots have fixed pitches, the pitches of affixes depend on the note they’re affixed to. A given affix is defined with two intervals, which themselves are variable. One suffix is defined as “two steps down,” but that could be a whole step and a half step, two whole steps, or two half steps. The first note of the suffix is whatever the last note of the word was: the last note of the root, if it’s the first suffix, or the last note of the previous suffix otherwise. So this one suffix has many possible realizations: C B A, G♭ F E, B♭ A♭ G, and many more, all depending on the root word and how you want it to sound.
The reason for the variable affixes is musicality. Although I have some restrictions for making Sdefa roots, if I were to just string roots together the results would tend to sound very random unless I got lucky. So the affixes have some built-in flexibility to join together different words in a way that makes musical sense. When you factor in the addition of rhythms and a flexible word order, that combines to give a Sdefa sentence a better chance of sounding like music instead of a jumble of notes.
Verbs in Sdefa have one suffix for each nominal argument. The first of these is subject agreement, then object agreement if applicable, and a second object suffix for ditransitive verbs. Prefixes have some other grammatical functions that I’ll get into in another post.
Here’s an example: the word “sit” is F♯ G A G, and the suffix for the first person singular is a third up and a step down. So to say “I sit,” you start with F♯ G A G, then add the suffix as G B A. It could also be G B A♯, G B♭ A, or G B♭ A♭; as long as it starts with a G and consists of a third up and a step down, it means the same thing.
For another example, “remember” is C G F E. To say “I remember you,” you start with C G F E | E G F (the word plus the first person singular suffix), then add the second person suffix, a step up and a fourth down. So that would end up as C G F E | E G F | F G D. Again, there are several possibilities for the notes of the suffixes.
Nouns always have one suffix, and these work a little differently. There are a handful of “fixed” suffixes, meaning they have fixed meanings; this includes the two defined so far. However, the majority of possible suffixes are “free” suffixes, which don’t inherently refer to anything. Instead, whenever you introduce a new noun, you pick one of the free suffixes and stick it on the end; then, when that noun is the subject or object of a verb, you use the same suffix on the verb to show its role.
I had at one point considered a system of noun classes for Sdefa, but with any such system there’s always still the possibility of needing to talk about two things in the same class. So instead there are 29 different pronouns to choose from for each referent, so you can almost always avoid ambiguity. Like I said at the top, it’s inefficient to have to assign a pronoun to every noun you use, but Sdefa isn’t about efficiency. In fact, repetition is at the core of almost all music, so having that built in grammatically is a bonus in my book. (There are some other advantages to this system, which I’ll talk about another time.)
All that covered, let’s talk about the header image. It consists of three words. The first is “Sdefa” itself: E♭ D E F A. The next three notes are A G F, which is one of the free suffixes. So the next time we see a suffix that’s two steps downward, we know it refers to Sdefa. After that is the sequence A B G D, which means “Saturday.” It’s followed by the notes D C♯ D, which is another free suffix (step down, step up). Then comes C B C B, which is a general locative verb, i.e. “to be on,” “to be in,” “to happen during.” It’s a transitive verb, so it has two suffixes. First is B A G, two steps downward (referring to Sdefa), and second is G F♯ G, meaning “Saturday.” So the meaning is “Sdefa is on Saturday.”
Sdefa doesn’t make any distinction between finite and non-finite verb forms, so that could also just be translated as “Sdefa on Saturday(s)” or, of course, “Sdefa Saturday.”
Now, since it’s kind of silly to have a long post about a musical conlang without actually demonstrating it, here is the header text, arranged for piano!

TransID from Another Perspective
🗝️🏷️ transID and radqueer discourse, mentions of disordered eating and self-injury.
I’m not the same alter who had the first transID post on this account. I can’t speak to their opinions, and I’m not going to try. I speak for myself.
I don’t think transID is safe as it is now. There are a select few that could be, a select few that never are, but I see most of them as an in-between along the lines of ED and SH communities. I see them as dysphoric, and accept that experience as valid because it is subjective and emotional, but I don’t believe they benefit from remaining under this label.
There is no component of harm you can claim without claiming the cis version of that identity. Some people hang around this area because they cannot progress in this aspect of healing, cannot accept some level of their own lived experience. The label itself doesn’t go with dysphoria in the traditional sense, doesn’t fit with the trans- prefix. It’s not a bad place to exist, but it is inherently not the same as other trans/cis dynamics.
It’s a fine line between what it means to use this label and what it means to exist with this identity. You are not bad for the identity. The harm is inserting yourselves into survivor circles to talk about experiences you do not have. You can speak about the dysphoria, about how you got to this point and why you’re staying or leaving. But you do not belong in communities of survivors because survivorship is not a construct. If x, then y. If not y, then not x.
Transgender people have the experience of a gender not assigned to them. Transrace/ability might have community ties, which differ from those most associated with the label more similarly to transgender vs cisgender. Transharmed/harmful is like transrace/ability in that there are reasons to fall on the border, but no concrete transition will make you any more or less what you are.
Identity is complicated. I don’t want to talk about where transgender and intersex meet because I’m not sure which experience I can claim. Probably I’m both (we’re both), but I can’t prove that. Transgender people tend to have either no markers associated with particular genders or some markers of the opposite sex. Being trans is not the same as being cis, nor is it quite a fit for the evolution of the intersex community.
The lack of safety is when you claim experiences you know you do not have. We were not raised male. We were not raised Chinese. We can demonstrate markers of both. TransID allows for markers of only the assigned identity to choose a marginalized identity without holding the responsibility those of that group do, which prevents those members from gaining that experience.
Another label and more pressure to uphold aligned values might integrate the transID community into the broader category of the group you ID as. Currently, transharmed/harmful and transrace/ability speak over and damage the groups you try to fit. You want to be here, but not the way we are. You do not try to progress our rights and acceptance, just dig holes to plant yourselves in. You are not the same as the cis version, even if you are not worse. Coexistence is not what we have now.
Changes need to be made. Smaller, more specialized groups to come forward and let the cis group decide whether you belong in each circumstance you would like to. Some people will always say no, others always yes. Find the people who will tell you why.
I am only okay with people identifying with my trauma ‘for fun’ if there is an underlying cause. I accept internal experience as inherently true, but hold also that it may yet be harmful. I will sit with people with exotrauma, pseudomemories, shame for another experience, confusion over borders. You are here, your existence is neutral, but you must learn to respect boundaries and find commonalities if you are to claim any piece of this identity.
We are not so different, but we are not the same. Variety is beautiful. Let it be.

I read the submissions, but what I wanted to say is too long to be put in asks. So I'm sorry for using the subs like this, but I want people to know. On the whole "Do Americans know what pro and anti means" talk. No, this is not the fault of the American Education System, please stop spreading that misinformation. Prefixes are literally taught in 2nd grade, so no matter how poor the school is THAT will always be taught. The REAL reason these users are coming in and not understanding prefixes is because they are only accepting internet slang. Look at all of the hip new words that are being introduced on here and even normal words being "re-defined" by the internet: The word simp? Originally an insult against men for being overly emotional to something. Now, the internet turns the word to meaning being "deeply in love" with a person or thing in a positive sense. Stan? An insulting word created to mean an obsessive stalker after a rap song that used said word. Now, you see it being used as a positive fan thing more so than a red flag/unhealthy thing that it was made to be. These young users are discarding everything being taught to them in school because their online "friends" and other internet users are telling them different. This is just another example of people being head deep inside these fandoms and willingly undoing years of their educational learning just be "hip" and blend with the fanbase circles they are into.

okay so i know i insinuated i wouldn’t be doing much actual posting on this site in my description but apparently i’m already going very hard against that statement so i might as well make one of these for convenience in the future. complete text under the cut
hey, i'm sharko. he/they/it/ve. pan. desperately in love with several fictional men who will never be real. still figuring stuff out but as of now i'm fairly sure that i'm a guy who likes men lots and lots. i have a tendency to be very blunt and somewhat aggressive, so if i say something properly out of line at all please let me know. i won’t be posting outright wank material on here but occasionally may post suggestive/nsft content from time to time (tagged appropriately, i’m hoping)
mostly a blog for twiddling my fingers and snickering to myself abt my interests i have like 2 or 3 very intense interests right now but they're verrrrry very secretive i bet you totally won't be able to guess them at all. im very normal and quiet about them (lie)
art tag is #sharko’s stuff (link doesn’t work on app fsr) i mostly do sfm things but one day when i’m not terrible at drawing i might start posting something 2d every once in a while. quick note: nearly all reblogged posts will be queued bc i'm very mentally sound and healthy probably
character tags will usually have a prefix of the fandom they're from (e.g. "#tf2 soldier", "#tfp optimus prime"). ensemble cast posts for tf2 will be tagged "#whole team tag" and ensemble posts for tfp will be tagged with #team prime and/or #decepticons. tf2 shipnames will be straightforward portmanteaus w/ names in order of class numbers (e.g. #sniperspy and #soldierdemo) for consistency but tfp shipnames are just. whatever idk. "#actual game tag" for posts involving tf2 gameplay cause it's like the only game i talk about right now
original textposts will usually be tagged under "#it can talk" along with posts where i have anything of substance to say in the tags (with posts by other people that i consider befitting of the term textposts just tagged #textpost), resources and generally helpful things go under #useful, and other miscellaneous/non-fandom stuff goes under #sharkoposting. rbs are tagged #reblog and art i find will be tagged #art because i do not have the energy to be creative about the tagging of those, 3d stuff tagged appropriately (though if it isn't sfm, it'll probably just be #3d).
do not involve me in pro-ship or anti-ship discourse. i do not have a dni and don't plan to have one in future, but for both our sakes i do not want to talk about that. i don't give a flying fuck what other people ship, and i would highly appreciate if nobody attempted to argue with me about the ethics of mashing fictional characters' faces together like barbie dolls. thank you and have a good night tri-state area

wren’s 100% correct warrior cat names opinion
was talking about this on a server so i figure i might as well throw it up on here as well. every few months or years i randomly get back into warriors rp and/or fanclans and ocs, which sometimes leads me to finding people with ocs whose names are technically correct (ie, they are two nature words a feral cat would conceivably know), but…not right. so why is that?
first of all, there are two elements to a name sounding right: the general flow of it/the mouthfeel, and whether it makes sense.
the first part dictates things like syllable count and what words exactly can be used. for the record, i’m approaching this from the perspective of trying to make names “feel” canon; not necessarily traditional naming, but names that aren’t jarring in the setting. most canon warrior cat names are two or three syllables long, and don’t contain words that are already compound words. i even looked this up to grab some stats:
of the several hundred canon prefixes:
4 are compound words: Bluebell, Chestnut, Milkweed, Primrose
7 are 3 syllables: Bubbling, Cinnamon, Dangling, Ebony, Juniper, Lavender, Shivering
1 is 4 syllables: Dandelion
none of the canon suffixes are compound words or longer than two syllables.
most warrior cat names, then, end up being 2-3 syllables long. the ones that are four are almost exclusively a 2&2 syllable pattern, like Goldenflower and Brambleberry. the full warriors that do have longer prefixes have 1-syllable suffixes, like Cinnamontail, Ebonyclaw, and Juniperstone, and we’ve never had an adult warrior with a compound prefix.
this isn’t to say it can’t be done—i think Primrosepetal is a solid name, for example—but you should be careful with it. Primrosechestnut is probably not a great name, because it’s very long for only four syllables and easy to get lost in, plus it seems like it has four segments instead of two. personally i think alliteration helps here as well, makes the sounds flow together better. make sure your name isn’t hard to read, either, like how Rumbleadder creates the word “lead” in the middle that can be confusing.
years ago, i saw someone use the name Solidagoshine and i like that too. solidago is another name for goldenrod, and i think a better one because goldenrod is compound, even though solidago is longer. solidago gets through its 4 syllables with the minimum number of letters and distinct sounds for each one, so it’s easier to read, and it ends in a nice 1-syllable shine to close it off. so it’s definitely possible to have longer names under this system, don’t worry.
while we’re talking about compound words, let me also caution you against using a normal compound word as a warrior name, for example Waterlily. it’s a fine name, but it just rings a little wrong since it’s already a real word.
ONTO THE SECOND CRITERIA: whether the name makes any sense. We’ll use the name [spins wheel of nature nouns] Twilightredwood as an example. probably not a great name to go for, because twilight and redwood do not have any real conceptual link, they dont describe how the cat looks (in fact, they’re a bit contradictory, with “twilight” having a gray connotation and “redwood” having, well, red, or maybe brown), and they don’t really hint at the cat’s personality or skills. maybe twilight could imply calm and redwood could imply steadiness or strength, but it’s not obvious.
those are the three criteria i use for a name’s meaning. just about every canon name fits into one or more of those categories. we all know that cats named Graystripe, Redtail, and Blackfoot have specific patterns. names like Mothwing and, dare i say, Twigbranch, are made up of two linked concepts. Other names like Hawkfrost, Leafpool, and Rootspring may not point to a specific physical trait or make any sense as linked concepts, but they outline the character’s personality or skills (Leafpool’s is technically a nod to the Moonpool, but I’d argue that the “pool” image is calm like she is, so it still works).
now that starts to lean more into traditional naming, but i don’t think every prefix/suffix has a set meaning or rules. “snow” could mean soft, gentle, playful, for one cat and cold, uncaring, even deadly for another. you could have a white cat with the Oak prefix if you meant it as strong and steady as opposed to bark-colored.
again, i’m not the name police. ultimately, do whatever makes you happy. i have ocs named Briarbee and Swiftdove and Crowflight and Lichendust, but i also have one named Rhododendronsnap. so, uh. how much room do i have to talk. actually, ironically, i think the only one there that might not follow my own rules is Lichendust. what does that mean.

Note
Would bread be a valid prefix in your rewrite? I’m not sure if you’ve talked naming here and if there can be cats named for the things crafted and made by the clans or if it must be things you can find while out on patrol without busting out the crafting table.
Since my rewrite sticks to canon, it's going to work out that kittens are only named after natural things. It's probably related to the idea that what StarClan makes is blessed in some way, and kittens should have a name their ancestors would approve of.
Technologically speaking, my cats can access things like; hammers, rope, oil, bread, baskets, and rafts. But, like you said, they'll only name their kittens after the things they can find without busting out a crafting table.
Except maybe SkyClan, but... we'll see what canon has in store for us to work with!

The New LGBTA Wiki Still Has Issues
(Alternate title: Two-Thousand Words of Writing On the Current State of the LGBTA Wiki That I Wrote At 2am and Edited the Next Day)
Intro:
As of a few months ago, the LGBTA Wiki is being hosted on a new platform (link). While the Miraheze site is still up and will be for the foreseeable future, users are being encouraged to use the new site. The reason for the change was the massive amount of resource-less pages, misinformation, incorrectly formatted pages, etc. on the old wiki.
Though this seems like a good thing, the new wiki still has some massive issues as of writing. Since the site has only been up for a few months, there is a chance that they will be fixed, but I sincerely doubt they will be.
My primary issues with the new wiki are as follows: Lack of resources, lack of credit, redefinitions of terms, renaming terms, excluding names for terms, lack of histories, conflation of terms, only acknowledging one version of terms that have been coined multiple times.
Since I’ll be expanding on all of these points (and with examples), this is going to be a very long post. So sit back, relax, and enjoy.
Before I can get into the details of many of these issues, I have to explain something about the formatting of the new wiki. The majority of pages on it are massive umbrella terms for a given term that then list every term that the moderator of the wiki has deemed to go under it listed in an information table under a subheading. While I personally do not like this choice, I have a hard time finding anything inherently wrong with it on it’s face, so it isn’t a part of my big complaints. It does, however, contribute to a number of the serious issues I do have with this wiki.
As another quick addition, I will not be discussing every single instance where a certain issue shows up. It’s easier and quicker for everyone if I just use a few examples, often the most egregious, to illustrate a larger point. I’m sure if anyone were to go look, there are far more examples of what I’m talking about than I list here, and I encourage anyone interested for whatever reason to go check that our for themselves. With that out of the way, on to the issues.
Issue 1: Lack of resources
A number of the information tables listing subterms do not link to the post or any images showing where a term and flag were made. This can be seen on the Bigender page (link), the Xenogender page (link), and the prefixes and suffixes page (link). This is a problem for a few reasons. The primary one is that it makes it incredibly difficult to verify any information. While this should not be a problem, the majority of term archival wikis have had information in some form, so easy fact-checking is one hundred percent necessary. It, along with one of the other issues I’ll discuss in a minute, makes it hard to find where information comes from, meaning it’s harder to find whether it’s reliable in the first place, which source they’re drawing from for terms that have been coined multiple times, who is responsible for coinig what, and when and where terms originated.
Issue 2: Lack of credit.
In addition to not providing links for information, a concerningly large amount of terms also do not credit who coined them or where they were coined. This can be seen on the same pages linked in the last point. In fact, only three terms listed on any one of those pages provide links and, only by extension, credit. Those are the -corian, -comfic, and -coric boxes on the prefixes and suffixes page. While a number of terms listed in that page specifically were not explicitly coined and, arguably, don’t require credit, some do. As do all of the terms on the other linked pages:
-cenic is listed with no credit, link, or definition, despite very clearly having a coining, coining post, and definition. Several terms, including Abigender, Libragender, Xenosoft, and Xenogenderfluid are also completely creditless and sourceless.
This, alongside the lack of provided links, also makes it harder for individuals to find who coined a term in order to figure out whether or not they’re comfortable using a term or flag created vy any given coiner or flagmaker. Even putting aside the issue of whether or not pages should have banners discussing possible problematic views and actions by coiners, it should not be difficult for anyone to find that information for themselves. Especially not when it’s so easy to include information that makes that easy to find and research different individuals.
Issue 3: Redefinitions
This doesn’t require as much explanation. Though, I will give a few examples just to substantiate my point:
-corian(link) is listed as being related to core aesthetics. Not core suffixed aesthetics, as it’s defined, rather it seems to mean central, primary, embodying, etc.
The listed definition for Xenosoft(link) excludes the part of the definition that mentions soft xeninity, rather than just exclusively a soft Xenogender. While this seems minor, it is possible to identify as xenine but not Xenogender and vice versa, just as male with masculine and female with feminine, and excluding that part of the definition excludes a wide range of Xenosoft experiences.
Libragender(link) while also being conflated with Abigender and Bxgender, more on this later, is defined as identifying with two genders, as well as a connection to genderlessness. While some may experience being Libragender in this way, that is not the original definition. It is, instead, defined as being primarily Agender with a connection to something else.
The listed definition for Werewolfcorian(link) excludes the connection to escapism, the vibe and aesthetic of werewolves, the specific phases of the moon this gender is especially connected to, and attributes the connection to the sinister atmosphere of werewolves specifically to just a connection to general sinister atmospheres. There are also other changes to the definition.
Issue 4: Renaming Terms
I’ve only immediately recognized one instance of this in my limited searching through the wiki, but it’s still an issue and I genuinely doubt that it won’t happen in the future.
The first coining of the term Xenofluid was renamed to Xenogenderfluid in its information box(link), despite the fact that it was not coined as or ever referred to as that in its coining post. There isn’t a chance that it’s actually a different term being refered to here, unless it’s another conflation issue, since the Xenofluid flag is shown as the flag for this term.
Issue 5: Excluding Names For Terms
This is a fairly limited issue, as far as I’m aware, but it’s also completely avoidable and, in my opinion, inexcusable for a wiki. The first coining of the term Panxenic/Panxenogender(link) is listed exclusively as Panxenogender(link), despite that being the secondary name. While there could be the excuse made of the new formatting only using singular names for subterms, that falls apart for two reasons.
The first is that wiki formatting should be designed around the best way to archive and display information. The information that is displayed should not be edited to fit wiki formatting.
Secondly, that isn’t even true. There are examples of multiple names being listed for terms, including Xenby/Xenbie, which is on the same page, and the Abigender/Libragender/Bxgender box on the Bigender page(link). I’ll be getting back to that whole thing in a minute.
Issue 6: Lack of Histories
In addition to the other issues that seem to be brought about by the new formatting, none of the terms listed in information tables that I have seen give coining dates or dates for the creation of flags. Not a single one. If nothing else, this is an issue because there is literally no reason not to list coining dates, or the closest that can be found for terms where the original sources are deleted. There is no excuse for it not to be there. It is impossible to find the information necessary to give the name, flag, and definition of a term and not have easy access to the date it was coined on. This is a massive, completely unnecessary oversight and I cannot conceive of why this information has been left out.
Issue 7: Conflation of Terms
For anyone not in the know, the conflation of terms is a term that seems to have been coined by the mods of Gender-Archival/Genderpedia that typically refers to taking one or more parts of a term including its name, part or all of its definition, and/or its flag, and attributing that to another term. This often also involves not giving any credit to the originator of said name, definition, etc. This, alongside many of my other issues, was all over older versions of the wiki and shows up in full force here, too. It also goes hand in hand with completely ignoring other versions of certain terms, something I’ll get to later.
A prime example of this also appears on the previously mentioned Bigender page. The page completely folds Libragender, Abigender, and Bxgender into the same term, with the same basic definition. While Bxgender is an alternate name for the specific version of Abigender(link) that is referenced there, based on the flag featured anyway, it is also its own term, coined separately from any version of Abigender(link).
For full transparency, this is the only example of this issue that I found in my limited search. However, it, on its own, is still a problem. If nothing else, because this exact same misinformation, in conflating Abigender and Bxgender, was on the old Wiki. So there is absolutely no reason to trust that a lot of the old misinformation will be fixed in the move. Which, given that fixing misinformation alongside other things was the primary reason for the move, is painfully disheartening.
Issue 8: Lack of Acknowledgement of Certain Terms
To establish how this can even be an issue in the first place, I do have to establish something else, first. While I’m sure the majority of those aware of this wiki are also aware of recoining, I’d like to give foundation, just in case. Recoining is the name for when multiple terms have been coined under the same name. The most prolific one I’m aware of is Zombiegender(link) though there are several other examples(link). I’ve seen a few different opinions on how archives should handle recoined terms, but I’ve always been of the opinion that they should all be listed in some form or another, for the sake of transparency and avoiding confusion, if nothing else. I’m a fan of the way Genderpedia does it, suffixing each page with the ‘place’ in which it was coined in which it was coined, for example, Zombiegender(1), Zombiegender(2), and so on and so on. But there are other ways that it could be done. Something I’d like to hope that most can agree on is that you can’t just not acknowledging recoins for a variety of reasons, including clarity, transparency, and having an accurate account of coining history.
The new LGBTA Wikis does not use any of the options for acknowledging multiple coinings of terms. It seems that the current strategy is to just choose one version of a term to list as the real one, I guess, and then never acknowledge that any others exist. Some examples of this are Seasonalgender, Summergender, Autumngender, Wintergender, and Springgender(link); Abigender; and Monstergender(link).
Outro:
While I do have some other, more minor, issues with the wiki, I don’t feel the need to list or expand on them here.
A number of members of this community have given this wiki chance after chance after chance to get their stuff together and actually be something resembling a good resource. But, as much as it really sucks to say this, I do not believe that it’s possible at this point. This wiki has changed hands and platform multiple times and it continues to have issues. While a number of these issues have gotten better, new ones have popped up and others have gotten worse. Callout posts, coiner boycotts, new leadership. None of it seems to be enough to fix this wiki.
I obviously can’t tell anyone who or what to support or what to think, but I would seriously caution everyone to at the very least check everything you see on any any version of this wiki, if not outright avoiding it. It has shown us time and time again that misinformation will be proudly, often sourcelessly, displayed with no disclaimers or corrections made by anyone.
I gave up on expecting anything better from this wiki back when I realized that edits and pages spreading misinformation were being aloud to go public by moderation despite lack of sources, incorrect definitions, and some other issues. But this completely destroyed any hope I had that maybe it could be good at any point in the future.
This new version might, so far, have less misinformation than any other version of the wiki, but that almost makes the existing misinformation even more insidious. Readers are less likely to register misinformation as such if its surrounded by correct information. This wiki is a goldmine for that kind of stuff. If I didn’t have the knowledge I did on a lot of these terms and my existing skepticism of the wiki, I would’ve been fooled by a lot of what I listed here. I can’t imagine how much worse it would be for someone who is new to the community. Who doesn’t just know all the names for Panxenic or what the actual, full definition of Werewolfcorian is.
I’m not sure how to end this post, because there isn’t much else to say that I haven’t already, here and all over my blog. This whole situation is just incredibly frustrating and disheartening and kind of bewildering to me. Chance after chance, platform after platform, it feels like none of it mattered. There’s still misinformation, there’s still term conflation, there’s still a complete lack of sourcing in some cases. The LGBTA Wiki still cannot be trusted. And I cannot conceive of that changing any time soon.

Unpacking all my Aspec micro-labels
(I did kinda, sorta, half-promise to do this a bit ago. I was planning on doing this in time for Asexual Awareness Week. But there was too much to unpack).
Note: I didn’t even know any of theses orientations existed until I was 52 years old, six years ago. This here unpacking is all about me looking back over my life, and saying: “Oh!” very quietly to myself. Included are sample example experiences from my life that have led me to believe these labels fit, with the finer details sanded off.
Aromantic & Apothiromantic: Not feeling romantic attraction, & Repulsed by the idea anyone else being romantically attracted to me.
I might have ended up romantic neutral (or even demiromantic)  if it weren’t for one particular summer camp session where I was romantically harassed by a boy in the cabin next to mine. I was 12, he was 13. And he would not leave me alone. All the camp counselors thought it was cute.
Until the last day of the session when I finally agreed to kiss him. I went in for a peck. He went in for a French kiss. I slapped him as hard as I could (pretty hard).
This experience did not “make” me aromantic, but I think it is the reason I have the urge to “nope” out at the first hint of romantic overtures (think Roadrunner in a Chuck Jones cartoon).
I’m not repulsed by the idea of anyone else in a romantic relationship, though. If it makes you happy, I’m happy for you.
Aegosexual: Enjoying sexual fantasy & daydreams with imaginary people, while leaving yourself out of the action (the double prefix “a” and “ego” means “Without self”).
I think this is the biggest single reason it took me so long to realize I wasn’t actually straight. I grew up in a culture that told me, as a visibly physically disabled person, imaginary sex was always going to be my only option. So I never stopped to consider that it was actually preferred option.
I will note, though: In all my made-up scenarios, in made-up places, with made-up people, sexual attraction between individuals is never the motivating reason for the action.
Demisexual: Only feeling sexual attraction after a strong emotional bond is formed.
This happened to me once, when I was 15, toward a fellow student that was in all of my classes, and the only other student in my Latin class. I think I did the math at one point, and figured that, during that year, I spent more waking hours with him than with any other single human being. I never told him of my crush.
Alterous: Defined as an attraction “halfway between romantic platonic.”
I think of it as a combined, intense, emotional and intellectual attraction (I’d use “queerplatonic,” since I don’t want any romance -- see above -- but as I understand it, queerplatonic is reserved for describing a type of relationship, not a flavor of attraction).
Until a relatively short time ago, when I learned there was more to “falling in love” than the Romantic/Sexual forms of love validated in our culture, I thought that was an experience I’ve never had. I thought I’d skated through my teenage years unscathed by the right of passage called “first love”. But looking back:
When I was sixteen or seventeen, as an alternative to summer camp, my mother suggested that I invite one of my good friends from high school -- a couple years ahead of me; as I recall, that was the year she graduated -- to stay over for a couple of weeks (also, looking back, I can’t help but wonder if this other girl’s mother was also in on it, as an alternative for both of us). We’d stay up ‘til 2 or 3 in the morning, talking philosophy, and mythology, and storytelling. We’d spend our days painting watercolors, and writing stories, and watching insects in the grass, and taking naps together on the living room rug.
We remained  pen pals for several weeks after that. And then, one day, I got a letter from her that had none of her usual art in the margins, or between the lines. Instead of her usual graceful handwriting, it was written in dense, cramped pencil. And in that letter, she admitted that she was going through a mental and spiritual breakdown, and that she was scared.
Her letter affected me so deeply, it prompted me to leave the religion I was raised in.
Looking back, I think that counts as alterous/queerplatonic: a friendship far deeper than an “ordinary” platonic relationship. I really think that was the first time I was in love, even though I didn’t recognize it.  It wasn’t the last, through the years. But I didn’t recognize those other relationships as full-fledged love, either, until the people were no longer in my life.
Once I did recognize those relationships as “being in love,” I also realized that I was:
Pan- (prefix to all the rest): Potential attraction to anyone, regardless of gender expression (my own definition).
I consider Bi- and Pan- to be almost synonyms, in the same way that “butter” and “goldenrod” are both adjectives for Yellow. Both prefixes mean “attraction to your own and any other gender.”
But in my head, “Bi-” refers to an attraction where a person’s gender expression (Note: this is completely independent of “what’s in their pants”) plays a large part in what makes them attractive. And “Pan-” refers to an attraction where the role of gender expression plays little or no part.
I’m an AFAB cis woman. But I hardly give a moment’s thought to my own gender expression, much less anyone else’s. I recognize that some people are *chefs kiss* artistes when it comes to expressing their gender, whatever that may be. But chances are, that’s not going to be what makes me want to be in their circle.
Polyamorous: Relating to relationships with more than one partner, with the knowledge and consent of all the people involved.
I realize this is somewhat rich, considering I’ve never been in an acknowledged, requited, relationship with even one person, much less many. But any time I contemplate my ideal relationship, there’s always a bunch of us in the kitchen.
Also, my favorite scenes in Rom-Com movies are the “Coming home to meet the Wacky Family™,” and being welcomed in to the wider circle.
I also wonder if this is related to my Apothiromantic orientation, and being wary of being the sole focus of a single person’s amorous/emotional attention. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Whew! I think that’s the lot. Am I a Micro-Label Master?  Did I catch them all? 😏

"I can be your family."
It was lonely, moving to Japan away from your entire family for work. It was fine for the first three months, then after six months you started to feel lonely. Then after a year you felt trapped. Maybe you had made a mistake moving to Japan not knowing anyone. That was, until, you met Ukai Keishin.
Admittedly, it was at a bar. Not your proudest moment, sure, but you were thankful to have met someone at all. It seemed most people weren’t very welcoming towards a foreigner, especially one that was still struggling to fully learn Japanese.
But Ukai was different. He didn’t mind your poor accent, or the fact that sometimes you had to say things in English because you couldn’t remember how to say them in Japanese. He’d laugh and tell you the word (if he knew what English word you were saying..), helping you pronounce it properly.
Ukai didn’t mind the way you’d talk in English to him on accident sometimes, asking you to teach him so he knew what you were saying. You agreed, but only if he’d help you become better at Japanese.
Though having Ukai at your side was nice, it didn’t stop you from still missing your family. You had grown up very close with your siblings and cousins, so not seeing them was seriously starting to take a toll on you. And he could tell.
“Are you okay, y/n?” Ukai asked, patting you on the back lightly. He had occasionally been coming over after practices to hang out while you work from home. “You seem a little off.”
“Yeah,” You reply softly, trying not to think too hard about it. You knew one wrong word and you’d word-vomit your feelings all over him. Though you trusted and valued Ukai as a friend, you didn’t want to scare him away with your emotions. “Just feeling a little down. It was my sibling’s birthday yesterday and it’s the first one I’ve ever missed.”
He couldn’t pretend to understand, Ukai was never extremely close with any of his family. But at the bare minimum he understood that your family was extremely important to you, so he tried to sympathize. “I’m sorry. Did you call them?”
You only nodded in response, thinking back to the phone call where the both of you cried because you missed each other so much. The thought made your eyes fill with tears again and you sniffed, trying to hold them back. “We video called and they showed me their party and I said hi to everyone. Just not the same though.”
Ukai could tell how sad you were just by the tone of your voice, causing him to move himself closer to you and pull you in for a hug. “Hey, it’s okay y/n. I’m sure you’ll see them soon right?”
The small affection from him made you burst into tears, suddenly feeling all the sadness from the day before. “I just miss them all so bad, Ukai. I have no family here, and you’re my only friend. I’ve never been through anything like this before.” If you thought your Japanese was bad before, it was even worse now that you were trying to speak through tears.
“Look at me, y/n. Hey,” Ukai lifted your face so you were at eye level with him now, taking in the way you looked. He still admired you even with the red eyes and tear streaks, “I can be your family. I’ll even introduce you to the boys as Mx. Ukai, eh? Then you’ll have twelve obnoxious teenage boys to be your family too.” He had to pause for a moment, barely able to process the fact that he just said that to you, “I know it’ll never be the same as your family back in the states, but it’s something, right?”
For a second all you could do was blink. Was that a confession? “Mx. Ukai? Shouldn’t you maybe ask me out on a date first or something?” You sniffed, laughing a bit. “That’s a bit forward, but if you really mean it I’d love to start out by just being your partner,”
Ukai nodded and hugged you, putting his head into the crook of your neck, “Yeah, you’re right. Guess I can wait awhile before I give you that title.”

been working on two kaleipro videos which will hopefully come out next month or so, but because it’s been on my mind I wanna go over the etymology of all the character names
Cecil Nelson- name origin mostly comes from the patron saint of music named Cecilia who was martyred. I guess you could connect how Ferron might see Cecil as a sort-of martyr in his Kaleidoskull plan. The name means blind, which I like to connect to her eyes/albinism. Nelson is a pun on Cal, (lit. Neil Son). Also I made Cecil and cal’s initials mirror each other when I first created them, (CN and NC)
Warren Ferron- I just named him Warren after Warren Kepler because 14 y/o me was still riding on that w359 high. But a Warren is typically a burrow for rabbits, matching with Cecil’s bunny imagery. Ferron derives from the prefix “ferro-“ which means iron. This was because he was originally a part of this lemonverse thing for morally grey scientists, so I wanted a name with a pun on grey
Neil “Cal” Callaghan- we know why he’s named Neil so moving on. Anyway the only good improvement out of that god damned server was that someone thought Callaghan sounded like “call again” (like “call me back” in touch-tone telephone) so I’m stealing that and plagiarizing that. Same thing about the initials here but also Cal’s Irish. I’m sticking him in my Gaelic Group™️ of characters.
Cade Ar- THE ARCADE JOKE CAME AFTER I NAMED HIM. I named him Cade because I couldn’t find a name that started with “Cab”. And then I realized I could make the worse character name ever. Apparently Cade as a name means round? Take that what you will
Emerson Moon- nothing really of note, I think I just subconsciously named her Emerson because I know an Emerson irl. But the last name Moon is probably from “Ó Mocháin” which means early, so I guess that could represent her insomniac nature. Also another character in the Gaelic group haha
Ichigo Ichinose- Go Ichinose is the music composer for the Pokémon series so ichiGO ICHINOSE. But also minus the “nose” part, her name can be read as “ichi go ichi” (一五一) or 151, 151 original Pokémon. Also her name in kanji is 一之瀬苺
Ernie Wright- Ernie’s is pretty simple, coming from the lyrics in I Earn My Life, EARN/EARNIE, and “if I wasn’t always right.” Also his ex-wife’s name is Laura which I’m pretty sure is named after that lady Barney knows in blue shift
Reagan Pending- yeah yeah Reagan from Ronald Reagan. But his last name is Pending because when I was talking about him to my friend, I said “this is Reagan last name pending” because I hadn’t come up with a last name yet. But I think he though Reagan’s last name was the word pending. So now it is because I think that’s funny. Also pending like when a house is on the market because him and Ernie are architects for the housing market
