Modern AU where enderdragon!Philza is captured by a shady corporation who lock him up in a lab to experiment on him. One day, they want to see how he reacts to a human being (they just want to see how Phil kills his prey).

So they yoink a random college student named Techno from the streets.

They fully expect Phil to maul Techno on sight. But he doesn't. Maybe it's because Techno isn't armored, and he's not wearing a lab coat. Maybe it’s because he's locked in just like Phil is, and he looks scared. Maybe it’s because Phil has been in isolation so long his dragon hoard instincts are on high alert.

Whichever the case, Philza looks at this random human and goes "oh, he's friend shaped. My treasure now!"

The scientist are in awe when Phil doesn’t eat Techno. He just manhandles him so they can snuggle up together instead. After a few days of Phil taking care of Techno and having no intention to kill him, somebody goes in to take Techno away and resume with different experiments.

The problem is Phil doesn’t appreciate that. Like, at all.

Finally using his full powers at seeing somebody try to lay a hand on his hoard, Phil breaks out of the facility easily and leaves it a crater. He takes Techno with him. And like a good dragon, he brings Techno home to his nest, where his mate Kristin and their sons Wilbur and Tommy are waiting.

Aka Techno can be adopted by the entire family!

i caved and made a rw oc. their name is Patron In Voyage, or PIV. they are the iterator behind the expeditions.

basically ancients wanted to challenge themselves, to see how well they could survive the surface + do quests. this led to creating PIV, who is basically a quest giver. AKA expedition mode. All the music unlocks are colored pearls, and PIV can play ones you’ve unlocked.

because of the competitive nature of these quests, and bragging rights, some ancients ultimately got too tied down. These echos ended up causing most ancients to abandon PIV, as they realized the expeditions can make them unable to ascend.

PIV now just gives quests to anything that wanders in, if it can have the mark of communication

It’s hypocritical of me to say, given the crap I have been paid to write and publish online, but it pisses me off that so much of what is published online these days is GARBAGE. 

Case in point: I tried to look up those ozone/ionic vegetable washer devices. (Because, you know, there’s outbreaks of a dozen things right now and my body is already dealing with enough.) NONE of the first 20 articles I found cited any kind of science at all. Zero. Nada. I had to go directly to the NIH to find Actual Information.

To add insult to injury, a bunch of the articles were so obviously “SEO optimized” that they were practically unreadable.  

JOURNALISM USED TO BE AN ART FORM. People used to work hard at it and take pride in it. And now it’s all drivel and trash. UGH.

Ok so I went from being a firm believer in "Ruler/Leader Jay" in DR and now due to leaks I have a theory that the secret organization he is a part of is in charge of merge damage control (they are not related to Imperium)

He is the leader of his squad and he only has memories from before he met Wu, so he has no idea who the ninjas are or what happened during all those years, but he chooses not to think about it because he is focused on his job and in trying to help people. So yeah... he is quite confused and skeptical when nya tells him everything

I'm starving for a badass Jay arc, guys

Because I think this is the first time in years that the writers are going to give Jay an arc that doesn't have to do with Nya.

I'm also very tempted to write a fanfic about this before the second part of DR comes out.
