Voices; they speak to us. They always do. Stuck in our hearts. Sometimes we can tell what they say to us while other times it’s too hard to tell or maybe even too late. But you don’t always know where they come from.

I kept walking for what felt like days trying to make out what they were saying. I could never figure it out. I just kept walking into the void of darkness for eternity. There was no time in this place, no light, no food, no water just walking.

The more I heard them the more it made me feel familiar with it. But yet I could never know for sure. Some of the times I could hear them echo. But that wouldn’t be so often. I could not see any details in the cave but occasionally. I would step over some stones on the way and fall but it never hurt or leave a scar. I would sometimes sit down and try to remember how it was before I was here or how I reached here…. But I never found my answers. I’d soon realised there was no way out of here. I was now deeper in the cave. I could hear the noises more frequently now. The once harsh, piercing voices were now soothing my ears. I felt as if I were cosy in a bed with hot chocolate on a cold night.

The voices- they were in fact the whispers of my heart ever since the day I was born till right now where I belonged- with you.
