Ok so now that I've spent some time thinking about the whole "Chuuya was never a vampire" twist, I... still don't like it. For many reasons.

Here's my explanation; if you want to read it, please do. I strive to be fair. I want to wait for the manga release before making a verdict on whether it's bad writing or not, and I also want to see the start of next arc to see where they're going with all this.

If you don't want to read it, and you're having fun with the twist (it is funny. I will admit that much), then skip this and keep having fun! I don't want to ruin anyone's enjoyment.

First of all. It makes no sense. There are things that just do not add up. There was never an indication this was a possibility.

Bro. Did you put on costume makeup for the texture under your eyes? Did it wash off after nearly getting drowned and you had to frantically reapply it behind Fyodor's back and that's why we couldn't see your face for several chapters. Did you take it off again for your dramatic reveal here at the end? I demand smeared undereye makeup Chuuya in the manga when it releases hbfsdjhbfv

Ok this was more a joke. But here's what really irks me.

From what I can recall, this is. True. He needs to have made contact to manipulate gravity. It's also re-established in this very arc.

Great. So how the fuck did he slow the elevator? He was with Fyodor in a separate room! This makes no sense. Did he leave to stop the elevator and Fyodor was like "oh chill. ok come back soon"??? What?!

Here's another thing I want to address:

@ticklinglady I had this same question. However, on thinking on it again, I do have an answer that makes sense - they had to buy time for Sigma to use his ability on Fyodor, to gain knowledge on him about what he knows, and what his ability is. <-I feel confident in saying this is going to be important later. Sigma will still have a role to play and we will find out more about Fyodor!

Alright. Moving on to the themes, and why this also doesn't work (at least for me).

The theme in this arc is very much to do with the contrast between trust vs control. This is Fyodor's failing when it came to Dazai, and it is established very early on as the major contrast between them, in the Sky Casino arc. The vampires, though it seemed silly and random, fit nicely into that theming. And the conclusion, where Dazai showed extreme faith in Sigma and the Agency members (and what an interesting contrast that is; to have someone show faith in ordinary humans when his foil is a man who has faith in god but not humanity), that fits into that theming also. Ok, so this was an extension of that right? Showing faith in Chuuya, as always.

Yeah, no. I want to direct your attention back to this here.

This line is the one that had everyone going "oh man skk is going to fuck you up for that". I made an entire analysis back when this chapter first came out about the themes that we saw, and Fyodor's utter devaluing of the effectiveness of people beyond just their skills and abilities (it's here, if you're curious). This is why I suspected that, since Dazai and Fyodor are intellectually matched, it would have to be Sigma and Chuuya to catch Fyodor off guard - because he only values what people can do, not who they are.

Well, we got a little with Sigma, before Fyodor took control of the situation again. (Rip buddy.) Sigma's tenacity and unwillingness to fall for Fyodor's manipulating him away from helping the Agency was based off his personal choice and free will. He managed to shoot him! Fyodor was reduced to a cheap trick to get close enough to stab him! There was a certain level of payoff.

But Chuuya? I want you to think for a second. What did he actually do? Not a single part of this was Chuuya's idea. It was Mori's - he was at the very least sent undercover under orders, if not sent to Meursault under orders. He didn't even glue his own fangs in apparently. Now let's go over what he did. Why was it so necessary that it be Chuuya there? Well, obviously because gravity manipulation was needed to slow the elevator and the bullet. Oh... hm. So. His ability. Was what was needed, huh?

But it was necessary for it to be Chuuya because of the bond between him and Dazai, right? Oh. Wait. So, Chuuya's personality and goals don't matter - only his ability to read Dazai.

This twist makes it so Chuuya as a person doesn't actually throw a wrench into Fyodor's plans at all. All that matters is that he is Mori's executive and Dazai's partner. I guess he was "utilized" after all. I thought, with his characterization in Fifteen and Stormbringer, that we were moving away from this characterization of Chuuya only by his bond with Dazai. Do you want to scream.

You might be saying, okay, but at the very least it showed the depths of Double Black's bond! ...did it? Not really, at least not to me. The only impressive part of any of this was Mori's preparedness. This was barely an skk plan. It was a Mori plan. Double Black placing their lives in each other's hands is a Tuesday for them. This is nothing we didn't already know. And truthfully, it goes nowhere near the level of sheer trust we saw in Dead Apple. Mori sent Chuuya in sure, but it was only after everything settled down that he realized that Mori suspected Dazai would need help. Before that point, it seemed everyone thought Dazai was dead except Chuuya. Chuuya chose to jump out of that plane. Chuuya chose to risk his life. It showcased his personality, his free agency, and the level of trust they had far, far better. And it was emotionally satisfying! Dazai was extremely grateful that his trust paid off! Chuuya was somewhat conscious during Corruption, enough to weaken his own punch and shout Dazai's name! Dazai prevented Chuuya from having his ability be separated from him by the fog! They are an unbeatable team... but they were still left exhausted, and had to rely only on each other. How does what happened in this latest episode compare to that in a way that makes me believe they've actually outmaneuvered Fyodor?

Listen. I'll take twists that don't really have a great build up if they further the themes or character development, or it just makes for good drama. There's an interesting pay off, at least, so I say "okay, okay. Could've been done better, but I'll let it slide for the intrigue." But here? Nothing. It was boring. Are you bored.

Anime watchers were probably more fine with it. Maybe it was a little disappointing, but oh well. But manga readers have been having this plot dragged out for years. A lot of said fans (including myself) were excited to see Chuuya become main series relevant and receive present day development - and it seemed like we were going to get that with the recent publication of not one, but two Chuuya backstory novels, and the drama of this arc pitting Dazai and Chuuya against each other. Instead, this did absolutely nothing of interest for his character. Why was he even here?

Which brings me to the last point, which is the characterization.

Going back and re-reading this entire arc now, it becomes one big stage performance. Ok, fine, it's a little funny. But now there's hardly anything of value to these interactions. The only ones that actually matter are Fyodor and Sigma, and Fyodor and Nikolai. All that buildup to drama between Double Black, to another incredible display of trust, to something shifting and changing from the status quo... all that build up, and nothing has changed for Chuuya, or for Double Black. The show of trust wasn't even that dramatic really. Are you bored still.

This also weakens Fyodor's character to me. Fyodor witnessed their incredible show of trust in Dead Apple. I assumed he was prepared for skk-typical bullshittery, you know, being a genius on par if not greater than Dazai. You're telling me he was so overconfident he completely missed that Chuuya wasn't a vampire? Really? Fyodor really had nothing in place that would verify whether the vampires were actually under control? He wasn't constantly checking for a plan? It really was just red eyes and fangs, and he thought that was fine? That's it? Ok.

Truthfully, I was kind of :| about several of the preceding twists in the Meursault arc, particularly the dagger Fyodor pulled out when he started acting to Sigma, and the door railing being preemptively crushed by Chuuya before the drowning started. The dagger was actually ornate in the manga, which raised several questions - it couldn't have come from a guard. It made me think there was more to that interaction than just Fyodor pretends to have a split personality and that there was actually something to that knife. Well, it was made to be a regular knife in the anime, so I guess theorizing across those lines are dashed.

What bothered me the most though was the crumpling of the rail to stop the door from completely closing. There was no indication of this in the manga. None. No one could've predicted that - because it's stupid. The water filled so fast it couldn't get out of the crack in the door, even though it was huge??? Dazai was in the control room - you're telling me that there was no security camera focused on the door??? You know, where you would position a security camera??? It was dumb to me, but I was willing to roll my eyes and move on because I was expecting a good payoff to all this, and well, it was funny.

But now, the whole arc is one extended joke skk were playing on Fyodor. And you're telling me that's how our major antagonist goes out? Our major antagonist of several arcs? Be for fucking real.

And depending on when Dazai figured it out, it may even cheapen earlier scenes. If he found out after the elevator slowed like people have been theorizing, I could accept that. That's fine. But I need people to recall: in the actual episode he states "it was all an act".

Is Dazai probably lying to save face? Sure. But as of this moment we actually have no evidence it wasn't an act from the beginning. Remember that Ango was communicating the whole time with Dazai. Remember that Mori was involved and helped Tanizaki and Kenji get to safety. It's entirely possible it was all premeditated.

One last suggestion: the plan name was "Good-bye" as suggested earlier. This means that even if Dazai didn't know from the beginning, he knew by the time of his speech to Chuuya as he was drowning.

This means that his whole scheme with Sigma was not an extremely dangerous, life-risking play on his part at all (@daz4i has gone to explain why this sacrificialism isn't good for a suicidal character, which I recommend reading, but nonetheless it was still notable characterization for Dazai). And what about this?

Even his own flashbacks and memories were, what? A lie? A performance? For whom? Not for Fyodor, that's for sure.

For us. The readers. For the people who are invested in these two and their dynamic. For the people who wanted development between them, because there are actually issues there that have not been resolved. People wanted Dazai to show real concern. Chuuya is still bitter, even if Dazai thinks everything is fine and the same since he left. There was a tease that we're going to get how Chuuya felt when Dazai left the Mafia at some point in the future. People were making angsty art and writing and getting really excited because all the prior interactions had appeared to be set up for the payoff of this drama.

We get an introduction in the dungeon. We reveal their partnership and fearsome reputation during the Lovecraft fight. They perform flawlessly in Dead Apple. Throughout all this, they need no communication. They read each other and respond in tandem, always... but there's still an underlying tension in the way they do not talk to each other. I, and many others, had thought the prison escape arc was the breaking point for some development, since their prior appearances were all meant to establish them as a team, and this arc dealt heavily with the breaking of established things.

But no. Deus ex skk is perfect. They have no issues or flaws. Do you want to scream again.

Anyways. I recognize I'm probably just very disappointed right now and by tomorrow, I probably won't care anymore and will just roll with it. I think I was extra disappointed because while I tempered my expectations for, say, Yosano and Kyouka's involvement (sigh...), I fully expected skk would be handled well, being the fandom faves and where the money is at, so I guess I took the disappointment that much harder.

However, I'm eager to see how the manga tackles the ending, and if we will get any extra cues or better pacing there that may make me not quite so bitter. If it's any consolation, I do think we'll be getting Chuuya focus at some point in a future arc, and while I do think Fyodor is dead, I doubt he will have stopped haunting the narrative. He'll be back in some capacity. I'm pretty certain he's still the mastermind.

And I'm curious about the next arc and what's happening there. Maybe some things will be revealed later that will help smooth out the flaws here.

P&C | Ch. 3: Nursing Buddies

"I think I like your space buns more," a whisper lingers as Tae bends his neck, lowering his gaze as our eyes meet.

"Trust me, so do I. But first impressions are important," I say, already anticipating his quick remark regarding his first impression of me.

"You know I thought you would just keep your hand on my hoodie the whole ride down. You didn't seem in much of a rush," he chuckles, teasing my flushed face.

"Yeah well, it's not my fault you had to stand there," I quickly glance at him with a smirk.

He gives me a boxy smile, "Oh it was my fault? My bad, sorry, next time you decide to tumble into the elevator let me know so I can get out of your way," he says with the same teasing smirk.

It's goofy obviously, but I'm glad he wasn't awkward about it. I've embarrassed myself enough for one day. I'm surprised he hasn't said anything about my unfortunate outfit though but, I'll take it. Don't need him knowing about my Barbie obsession too. Flip-flops is enough.

Tae offered me a drink as we talked about our majors and how the first day of school went.

"Shut up! Nursing? No way, me too," I scream with genuine excitement.

"Stop, are you serious?" Tae exclaims. Leaning in forward, making sure he heard me correctly. But yes, turns out we are both majoring in Nursing.

"I'm dead serious. Wait, then how come I didn't see you in today's classes?" I ask, still smiling about the news.

"I didn't go, slept through them and then helped out with the party," he explained.

"Well, you didn't miss much. We just went over the syllabus, but the courses are fast-paced and content heavy so try not to miss too much," I say.

"Oh no trust me, my mom would whoop me if I did. Today was the only exception. She loves Jungkook and Jimin, so I told her it was a party for their arrival from Busan." he smiles pointing to the two guys standing by the food table.

"Is Jungkook alright?" I didn't mean to change the subject but my curiosity couldn't resist anymore. He hasn't left Jimin's side since we walked in and barely said a word aside from that short introduction.

"Yeah, he is fine, don't worry. If he doesn't sleep well, it shows on his face. Becomes all grumpy and quiet. Give him a day." Tae explains with a reassuring smile. I nod. Anyway, he knows better, they've been friends for a long time. By now they know each other's characters better than they know their own.

After talking to Tae for a while, I found my way to Jiah who was naturally with Jimin.

"Hey Mira, are you enjoying the party?" Jimin offers me water, as they scoot closer making room on the sofa.

"It's awesome! I met so many people already. Tae and I are in the same major, how funny is that?" I laugh.

"Tae is in Nursing? Since when? What happened to Graphic Design?" Jiah asks, turning to Jimin while simultaneously trying to spot Tae in the crowd.

"Yeah, that was before his parents found out. They said he needed a real job, one that would make him stable money. Capitalism, what can I say," Jimin sighs, leaning his head back.

"That's unfortunate, he looked so happy when talking about his projects. But, now he has Mira to pull him through Nursing." Jiah exclaims with a bright smile, eyes locked on mine.

"We'll see if I'll be able to pull myself through at least a semester," I say chuckling, but the concern in my voice is genuine. However, I'm glad that I at least have Tae in this with me. What if we end up in this same cohort?

1:00 a.m.

It's the next day, yet the party seems to have only begun. I'm not sure what these people are drinking but I'm ready to call it a night and sink into my warm bed. So, I go to find Jiah and Jimin and thank them for the invitation, before waving Tae goodbye. We promised to meet each other tomorrow before classes, to prepare for the battle that is Nursing.

As I left the studio room, I was relieved by the breeze of fresh air coming from the opened emergency exit door. Weird, but I need that air, I've been suffocating in there for God knows how long.

"Hello? Is anyone in there?" my voice is quiet, trying not to disturb the sane people who are fast asleep. I walked out of the building and onto the bench area by the dormitory. The moonlight is reflecting onto the pond as the sound of crickets fills the night ambience. Everything was at peace. That is until I saw a dark figure sitting on one of the benches farther back.

"Hello??" I screeched, stumbling back on my feet. Boom. There I was on the ground, one heel off my foot completely while the other was stuck in one of the cracks. Phenomenal.

"Oh my god, are you okay?" a familiar voice exclaims as the dark figure rushes towards me. Black hoodie, black hair. Jungkook. Why was he here all alone? Was he sleeping?

"Yeah, I'm oka..." my words were abrupted by his sudden action. In one swoop he was able to lift me while taking care of my broken heels. My arms just awkwardly dangling off of his broad shoulders, as I try to not make eye contact with his face, which was in very close proximity. After reaching the bench, he put me down, taking off his hoodie to put it on my bare legs. Everything is happening so quickly, mentally I am still on the ground, too embarrassed to look up.

"What were you doing out here, it's cold?" he asks, eyes focused on my face.

"What were you doing out here? I only came up to check why the door was left open," I exclaimed, stuttering the second half of my sentence. He lets out a small chuckle and sits on the bench beside me.

"It was too loud in there, I already had a migraine so this wasn't helping. So, I decided to get some fresh air. Mystery solved." he looks back at me with a smirk. I give him a shy smile.

"Anyways, I wanted to introduce myself again, since I looked completely rough back there. I swear I'm much hotter in real life," he explains, holding out his hand.

"This is real life ..." I point out with a smirk, shaking his hand.

"You know what I mean. Anyways, I'm Jungkook, nice to meet you, Mira, right?" I nod.

"So, how was the party?" he asks. I explained that I'm not much of a party girl and came as Jiah's plus one. But it turned out to play in my favour as I met my study buddy. He was so tired he almost forgot about Tae's change in major and had to do a quick double-take when I mentioned Nursing.

"What about you? What's your major?" I ask.

"Well, right now, it's Kinesiology, but we'll see. Maybe I'll double major in something else," he explains. Well, he definitely looks like the type to major in Kinesiology, a lean physique with buff muscles. Everything about him screams gym rat, I know because I'm quite literally the opposite. I don't remember the last time I stepped foot into a gym, it's too intimidating and also I'm lazy. I hyperventilate going up 3 flights of stairs, so I think that should tell you all you need about my level of fitness.

We talk for a little while longer until silence consumes the surroundings. It's peaceful again. His hoodie is still on my legs, while he is left sitting with just a white T-shirt on. I try to move but my body is restricted by the sudden weight on my right shoulder.

"Ouch," I yelp quietly, as I notice Jungkook's fluffy hair right by my face. He fell asleep. On my shoulder. The one that suddenly won't stop hurting. That's it. I remembered why Jungkook seemed so familiar. He was the guy that bumped into me at the entrance door.

First Impressions

As far as first impressions go, this isn't the worst.

Sure, trying to save a stranger in the Hidden City from a gang of Yokai kidnappers (and look cool doing it as a treat) isn't an ideal way of making friends, but if it works, it works, right?

Except it didn't.

“Hey. Are you awake?”

Leo takes a deep breath and sighs. “Yup,” he pops, staring blearily at his lap. “Didn't sleep much anyways.”

“Me neither,” the stranger replies. Leo hasn't gotten around to asking him his name. Probably due to his plan to save him ending with Leo being beaten up, disarmed and kidnapped with him.

So, yeah. Not the best first impression. 

Still, what was he supposed to do? Just ignore someone in danger? Even if they looked like they could handle themselves—the fight had been brief but Leo would be blind not to notice the rabbit Yokai's skill and grace with his blade, faster than anything Leo had ever seen. 

Even so, the goons had numbers and size on their side, and really, Leo should have, could have, portalled them to safety rather than show off only to get rinsed. Pride will always be his downfall.

(And cute rabbit samurai boys, apparently.) 

Leo squirms, adjusting his numb body as much as he's able. His ass is asleep, and he can't feel his fingers. “Yeah, sorry,” he mutters. “Turtles don't exactly make the best pillows.”

“No, that's not it.” The other boy shifts, tugging the ropes binding them back to back around their chests. His voice is rough with exhaustion, but Leo can hear a smile in it. “Your shell is actually quite comfy.”

“Oh,” Leo blinks. “Really?” 

“Yes. It's the, uh... well, everything else that kept me awake. Also, I'm certain I've lost circulation in my wrists now.”

The boy flexes his fingers, accidentally brushing Leo's where they're tied behind his shell. He just fights a shiver. “Y-Yeah,” he clears his throat. “Yeah. As far as kidnappings go, this is one of the most uncomfortable. If I lose a finger because someone got too eager with knots, I'll sue.”

The boy snorts. “You'll sue them for that but not the beating and kidnapping?”

Leo shrugs, jostling the ropes again. Man, this is uncomfortable. “What can I say? A turtle has standards.”

The boy snickers. “Well, should this ever happen again, I shall refer my kidnappers to you for constructive criticism.”

Leo barks a laugh. “Trust me, buddy, I know what I'm talking about.”

“Considering our predicament, I'm not sure that's something to be bragging about.”

“That's how I cope.”

“Then you should see a professional.”

“Ugh, you sound like my brother.”

“He sounds like a wise turtle.”

“You haven't met him. He's an asshole.”

The boy chuckles, and another silence falls, lighter than the last. Leo takes the time to look around their temporary prison. The back of the loaded pick-up truck, loaded with all manner of junk from useless to semi-useful, boxes them in close enough for Leo to feel claustrophobic. Small drilled holes shed little light but offer a generous amount of air so they don't suffocate before the transfer. Wherever or whenever that is. 

How long has it been since they were caught and stuffed in here? Hours? Maybe a day? Leo couldn't check even if he did have his phone.

The guys are gonna kill me.

(Unless these Yokai kill you first) a nasty voice whispers. Leo shakes his head and buries the thought deep with every other bad thought. 

Focus. They need to get out of here. The bastards had taken Leo's swords and shuriken and the other boy's sick-looking katanas. There has to be something in here they can use, right? A mystic buzz-saw? A piece of broken glass—?

A sheen catches his eye. Leo whips his head to find it—

His face drops.

“... Hey, um... how long have our swords been sitting there?”

The boy jolts, twisting and pulling the ropes to follow Leo's eyes. Leo wheezes, but the rabbit pays no heed and gapes at their swords resting innocently against the far wall. “Seriously? Seriously.”

Leo rolls his eyes. “Rule number two of kidnapping: don't leave sharp things or your captives' weapons within reach or view of said captives.”

“Sorera no baka!”

“Agreed.” He cranes his neck to grin at the rabbit, firmly ignoring how close their noses are and wow, his eyes are so pink, nearly red but softer. “What say we blow this popsicle stand, my good man?”

The rabbit blinks those big pink eyes. “I'm not sure what that means, but if it involves leaving, certainly.” He grins back, flashing two adorably big front teeth—

Oh, Leo is screwed.

He clears his throat again—is it hot in here, why's he so sweaty?—and turns around. “Cool! Cool cool cool. Alright, let's do this, uh... Can you stand?”

Lucky for them, the goons had bound their hands but not their ankles, so getting up is—not easy but manageable with minimal noise. It's easier still to shuffle towards their conveniently placed weapons and crouch low enough for them to start cutting away at the ropes. So far, so good.

Leo sawed away, the rabbit keeping an ear out for commotion outside. Halfway through, Leo swallowed what (stupid, stupid) pride he had left and spoke up. “Um... so, I think I should apologise.”  

The rabbit twitched. “Hm?”

Leo bit his lip. God, he hates this. “I mean, y'know... for getting us into this mess. I don't know why these guys are after you, but if it weren't for me, you'd have probably gotten away safe. I just... I was trying to play the 'cool hero' again to think 'hey, maybe this is a dangerous situation and getting caught would be a very bad thing!', y'know? I'm workin' on it, but...”

Another silence. Leo saws away and ducks his head. 

Then the bunny huffs. “I will admit, watching teleport and deciding not to use it to get us out of there was not your best idea.” 

Leo wilts like a flower, but the bunny isn't done. 

“However, I will also admit that I could have run from the fight instead of trying to tackle six bounty hunters alone.” He chuckles mirthlessly. “My sensei always told me my pride would be my downfall.” 

Leo almost stops sawing. He looks over his shoulder to find the bunny looking back, an awkward smile on his face. Face hot and chest warm with something new, Leo mirrors it. “Guess there's something we both need to work on,” he says.

The bunny snickers and Leo is sure he's not imagining the pink dusting on furry freckled cheeks. “Indeed. Perhaps, fates permitting...” he shrugs, “we could work on it together?”

Oh, sweet Hot Soup in the sky this is the best day of my life!

“Y-Yeah!” Leo squeaks—shit—then clears his throat. “Yeah. Yeah, we could, uh, totally do that! For sure.”

“Good. Also, I... I never caught your name.”

“Oh! Uh, it's Leonardo, but everyone calls me Leo. Or Leon, or Lee, or Nardo, but mostly Leo.” Shut the hell up mouth, you're embarrassing me! “W-What's your name?”

And there's that dorky stupid smile again. “Miyamoto Usagi.”

Again, Leo mirrors it just as the ropes finally snap. “Usagi. Cool.”

When the goons finally come to check on their cargo, they only have time to gawk as the turtle and the rabbit, grinning wide and cheeky, fall through the floor in a flash of blue.

Leo finds his phone blown up with several missed calls, worried texts and voice mails, and a new number in his contacts.

Not a bad first impression after all.

Our skyy 2- Wrap Up

Since this is an anthology and I, being the simp that I am, have watched all of the original shows, I thought it'd be fun to rank all the episodes.

The thing is, even though I have watched all of the shows, my opinion on these episodes are very reliant on my opinions of the original show as well. Meaning if I loved the original show and the our skyy episode was meh, it might be ranked lower than shows I didn't feel so highly about, but the our skyy episode delivered. Anywho-

7. Sky in your heart (ep 3-4)

Tbh I wasn't the biggest fan of the original show, but this episode was very in tone with said show. It was overall, cute. The greenflags were greening with the communication and lack of jealousy. You go boys! Live your happiest life.

But I did miss the other pair of the show (idk if you can technically count it as this show since they were two 7 episode series, but I would have liked to see even a cameo from them). Good vibes. I liked it.

6. My school president (ep 9-10)

To anyone who hasn't already, you havvvveee to go watch the original show. It is so sweet it will give you diabetes. And I loved the concept of this episode.

As a fanfic author I was mostly here for the validation that all our headcanons are canon. But, it felt like a highlight reel with roles reversed. Which is interesting but 2 episodes wasn't enough time to develop that story.

For what they attempted they did aight! I kinda wish we got something more post canon in their universe, happy cute boyfriends™, but yk. It's okay. More Fourth and Gemini always makes me happy. Plus the cast seemed to have fun filming it if the behind the scenes are any indication.

5. A boss and a babe (ep 11-12)

Listen, half the excitement of our skyy is missing these characters. So it was surely a choice by gmm to time this episode riiiighhhttt after the finale of the show.

That being said, this episode was pretty dang fun. Am I still mourning the loss of multiple unresolved storylines from the show they set up and literally forgot about- yes (Drake, you deserved better🤧). But considering our skyy 2 is the biggest "who took my FANFIC out of ao3 and into YouTube" plot ever, I'll overlook it.

This episode managed to do what neither enchanté nor abaab did- show me the appeal of forcebook. They are very cute in light-hearted settings. I'm yet to see them thrive in the drama, but only friends is happening soon... Soooooo

4. Never Let Me Go (ep 1-2)

Now thiss was a perfect soulmates AU for TV (or YouTube in this case) if I've ever seen one. We got the time travel, the drama, the classism all wrapped in a ball of all fluff and no angst. They understood the assignment.

Again. I missed my second couple (I am Perth Stan, I can't help myself. The 6 of us who demanded justice for Chopper, I see you!) But I didn't miss them too much, coz the premise was fun.

(I also loved the house set that they had!! I wanna go visit it if it's real!)

3. The Eclipse (ep 5-6)

These two episodes are single-handedly responsible for increasing the average number of kisses in Our Skyy. I wasn't even expecting this many? Even if it was basically just prep for Khao and First in Only friends, I'm still here for it.

It was also surprisingly an episode that caused a lot of debate about Akk and/or Ayan being out of character, which I didn't expect, but have my opinions on.

But overall, it was an extremely sweet episode with political and social commentary that the show had, but commentary lite. The locations were fantastic! I honestly just want more First and Khao in everything, please and thank you.

2. Bad Buddy x A Tale of a Thousand Stars (ep 13-16)

Speaking of who took my fanfic out of ao3, OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I knewwww we can trust in P'Aof for delivering a story. BUT DID I EXPECT HIM TO PUT ALL MY FAVS IN THE SAME SCREEN AT THE SAME TIME???? What great times we're living in *sighs in bl*.

Watching EarthMix slip back into phuphatian was a pleasure. Ohm and Nanon are sooo awesome! I missed Pat and Pran so much. The crossover could have easily gone into the forced-for-fanservice territory, but they had a plot for it!🤌🏼

They brought back characters that felt like home. Even the conflicts were so lived in. It is self aware in what small things can blow out of proportion.

Watching Pat and Pran in their college years hiding their relationship after reading countless fanfics about it- just, tears. Thanks! I love them. I missed them. I'm living for this. I see why this was at the end. Worth all the hype and more.

Still screaming about this, and have been for two weeks. Will keep you updated on when or if I stop.

Buuuut the reason I didn't rank this at the top is because we didn't get enough bad buddy in the crossover. I loved both the shows, but i feel like pat pran were slightly overshadowed. I was lowkey cringing by the end too with the second atots recreation of the series!? Oh god. But we got a proposal! And the confirmation it's an open secret?!? And whatever tf it was that korn and wai were doing backstage🤡. So it was almost in the number one spot, it's just that I preferred my actual number one spot episode more.

1. Vice Versa (ep 7-8)

Did I expect vice versa to be this high on my list, nope. Did I fall and virtually adopt this kid as soon as he came on screen... Maybe👀. Are Jimmy and Sea climbing up on my couples i can't wait to see more of this yes- also maybe.

But even otherwise, I think this episode had the most solid and cohesive storyline. Everyone felt familiar and acted in character. They even wrapped up the whole random-kid-showed-up-at-our-front-door plot surprisingly well. Like if you watched the episode, they left very clear hints.

They even kept the colour theme (even though multi colour isn't technically a colour, would have gone with white or black maybe, but that's just me).

I did not expect this to be my number 1. Actually, i was barely even looking forward to this episode. But it was a pleasant surprise.

And I was shooketh, considering my biggest complaint about the original show was that they left too many threads loose.

Jimmy and Sea were so good! Got me even more excited to see them in Last Twilight (in P'Aof we trust).

"Who's the new girl," you ask Ward as Jemma and Leo bring Skye up into the bus for the first time, well second time if you include her prior interrogation but this time she is seeing more than just a padded room.

"Her name is Skye, a hacker with rising tide," Ward mutters, clearly unhappy to have her on board.

"She's cute… really cute," you smirk.

"Did you miss the part where I said she's rising tide," he says crossing his arms.

"Hey you have the bad blood with them I don't," you say patting his shoulder and walking over to her, "let me get that for you."

You're smiling at her and Skye gulps, "uh thanks, I'm Skye."

"Y/N," you say, taking the box of her things she was carrying.

Leo rolls his eyes at you blatantly trying to charm her and Jemma chuckles.

You show her to her bunk and place the box down on her bed, "if you need anything I'm two bunks down, I've been told I make a really good omelet."

Skye laughs, "so Coulson is the leader, May is the pilot, Ward is the muscle, Fitz and Simmons are the scientists and you're the chef?"

"Actually I'm the team's resident alien who just happens to be a good cook," you smile.

"I'm sorry, did you just say an alien?" Skye says in disbelief.

"He's an inhuman," Leo huffs.

"A what now?" Skye asks confused.

"It's a long story but basically I have super strength and can lift this entire plane off the ground if I wanted to," you say trying to sound impressive.

"Huh," Skye says, glancing at your biceps and liking what she saw.

"Come now Fitz, let's leave these two alone," Jemma says, picking up on what's happening.

Leo sighs and begrudgingly follows Jemma back to the lab, Skye was supposed to be his new buddy not your next fling.

"So about that omelet, I haven't eaten since yesterday," Skye says with a grin.

"Usually a girl doesn't get one of my omelettes until after a night of fun but for you beautiful I'll make you one even if it is two in the afternoon," you laugh, motioning her to the kitchen,"this way."

Skye blushes at you calling her beautiful and not so subtly stares at your ass as you walk in front of her.

Once in the kitchen you make the omelet and set the plate down in front of her, "your omelet is served madame."

"That Ward guy doesn't like me does he," she asks, taking a bite and making a surprised sound at how good it is.

"It's not you he doesn't like, it's the rising tide, he has a history with them but that's his story to tell," you explain.

"So he doesn't trust me then."

"Pretty much though it's too bad for him because everyone else on this team likes you, me especially," you say with a wink.

"So you don't think I'm only joining this team just to infiltrate it and expose all of shields dirty little secrets?" She teases.

"Sweetheart you won't have to try that hard to get me to tell you all of my dirty little secrets," you say leaning in close to her.

"I'll keep that in mind," she says, leaning in even closer like she's gonna kiss you but instead takes another bite of her food.

"I have a feeling I'm gonna be making you a whole lot of omelets Skye, maybe even pancakes if you're lucky," you grin.

My ILY 219 Thoughts

When I first read this chapter on fastpass, my head was in mush the whole day, it feels like I've fallen in love. Even after today, 4 weeks later, I still can't put this chapter down. Everything was so intimate, it might be more intense than any romance media I've read so far. (I swear romance in slice-of-life genre is the best). With all that mush, there's also a silent dread in the back of my head, like, if tonight is the peak of Nolan's happiness since forever, what kind of pain and torture that awaits him in the future? Hhhahah let's stop thinking there.

1. I was pleasantly surprised when Nol was about to apologize to Shinae about the whole awkward-morphine-thing! I thought he's gonna use this opportunity to let her stay away from him, but nope. I forgot this is The Nolan Who-didn't-shy-away-from-Shinae-because-she's special Lochlainn. I should've known, despite the dread of loving (and losing) someone again, he also couldn't let her go easily.

2. The trio! YESS!! I was hoping they'd come! "How are you doing, stranger?" Damn right Shoushi, Nol hasn't introduce himself with his real name yet. "Oh shut up, let us have this!" Damn right Shinae. Just let them love you for God sake.

3. Awww that red blush! That crooked smile! It's the similar crooked smile Yeong-Gi had when Shinae gave him ointment for his scratch!

Nol really is touched by Shinae who doesn't give up on showing her care, despite him pushing her away many times 😭And Daww look at Lil Buddy on Nol's side ready to protect him!

Surprise surprise, the balloon Shinae brought on this ep is a gender reveal balloon, with "It's a Girl!" written on it. Quim, are you teasing us? Or is it a foreshadowing 🤣🤣

11. Ngl the panel where Nol is staring at his friends with red/pink sunrise and snowfall is soo pretty it's like shoujo manga. I'm soo sooftt 😭

12. Oh boy. That burger analogy he made is definitely dark. So his birthday is definitely:

1) getting stepped on by Hirahara; and

2) he found his birth/birthday leads to his mom's death/disappereance.

I really hope #2 is just some bs nonsense Yui has told him, but idk. Yui is the master of manipulation, some of what she said might contain some ugly truths, which, could be hard to counter :((

13. "Luck? Maybe bad luck..." Oi Nol, Shinae wouldn't know it was your birthday if it's not for the bible. You won't be able to celebrate your birthday in a good mood if it it's not for the bible. And you definitely wouldn't chase after Shinae in the first place if it's not for Nessa's letter in the bible. So it IS a good luck. How could you forget that?

14. Haha I knew she'd pick the orange! 🤣 But that doodle! I didn't expect her to do that but it's genius 🤣 And that message!

Not only it's a nod to Shinae's line when they first met (Humans suck), it's also the answer of his question earlier!

And it must mean so much to Nol cause, ugh, how do I explain it. For Nol who hate himself so much, hearing "you're a good person" might be a bit too much since it's hard to believe. But "you don't suck that much"? To me, at least, it's easier to take because it means Shinae acknowledged his downsides, but she accepts it anyway. Because she sees some good in him. Because he's special to her. For someone who were used to be told he's nothing? For someone who were told to disappear just a few hours ago by certain someone? That, UGHHH 😭😭

15. Oohh that tapping hand! I remember Nol said he knows how to do scales, so maybe he's playing imaginary piano in his head? Maybe he's reminiscing how his mom used to teach him christmas songs? Don't know if that's really the case but I thought it'll be a nice headcanon :) Shinae must've noticed how lost he is in his own world, so the way she brought him back using a finger dance, it's like she's saying "Don't go. Just look at me." 😭

16. The whole finger dance is so cute, but Nol's darken facee. It's like he's thinking, "Why do you think we can't dance? I don't care how much pain I'm in, I can dance with you. I want to." I swear, Nol's "take your shoes off" is much hotter than any "take off your clothes" from any ML in romance manga.

17. I see Yeong-Gi when I see one. With that smile, that happy remark, and that peek-a-boo? Definitely Yeong-Gi, alright. After he decided to live his life as Nolan, just this once, he wears his mask again to ease Shinae's worry, because he won't let her know alll the pain he felt (maybe I should write an analysis/theories about his motive in the future). He doesn't want to scare her, he wants to see her smile for as long as he could because By Gods he needs it. Their dance is like a sweet, silent goodbye, and they both know it.

18. Lastly, I wanna mention how good Quim is with gestures? Nol is holding only 2 fingers, like he still has a wall that says "I'm only asking you this as a friend. Not that I try to hit on you or anything." Almost like he's scared to invite her, afraid she might be scared of him.

But she's not. She accepted him with her full hand. Yet, he doesn't fully hold her hand because he's not ready to completely accept it, he's not ready to open up yet.

Despite all that, he holds what he can (Shinae's fingers) with all his might, because he's unable to let her go?

Okay, I've got to say this first. White Americans have the weirdest relationship with the concept of "community". You all claim to want it, you cry about how it apparently doesn't exist anymore, you idolize some long-gone concept of community from "the good old days", but when you actually see what a loving, supportive community of people is (usually from *gasp* large immigrant families) you fall apart. Community isn't going to your mega church once a week to gossip about which families looked at you the wrong way or aren't raising their children in a way you approve of. It's family and friends you trust pitching in, going out of your way to lend your time and help when someone needs it instead of just sending "thoughts and prayers", and doing what you can to create a positive environment not just for your kids, but all the kids around you. Especially with kids that are experiencing difficult circumstances like, I don't know, one parent leaving or dying. Like Elizabeth and LJ.

I remember 30 years ago when people were quoting the phrase "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child" like they were profound scholars, but never put it into practice because the reality of what that means sent them into a tizzy. That's why I love Faith looking after Lilly and the whole Daycare Center plot. Everyone pitches in to help the kids and community grow.

A four year old boy having several positive male role models in his life isn't going to harm him. Lucas wasn't LJ's "dad" for half his life, he was his buddy. And his buddy is still a positive influence in his life. And if it surprises you that LJ has affection for the Mountie that's kind to him and shares the same job as his biological father, I don't know what to tell you (besides that you're a shit writer if you didn't see that coming).

Okay, sorry but you should already know that if Debbie was desperate enough to lose her virginity by forcing someone to sleep with her then y'all should know that there's a good chance that she might cheat.

I mean seriously, she got pregnant with her first boyfriend, and he didn't even want this and told her multiple times.

Not to mention at some point she got with this damaged guy name Neil all because she needed a way to support her baby and her own lifestyle.

SHE CHEATED ON HIM.

So, what makes you think she won't cheat on you?

Once she loses interest she will leave.

If she finds someone better, she'll leave.

Of course, that's not saying she won't stay if she actually loves you.

However, if she only sees you as an atm then sorry buddy you're just being used.

She's not below using people to her advantage.

Sadly, I have a feeling she can't even see her wrongdoings sometimes.

But if you do end up catching her cheating, she will try to explain and apologizes.

It can go in different ways.

If she's only using, you. She wouldn't really seem sad she'd explain herself quickly without putting much thought and forget about it later. Like it never happened.

But if she does care about you, she'd push harder to get you to forgive her.

She'd promise never to cheat again, which she probably wouldn't if she was in love with you.

Now if she didn't like you and she just used you she wouldn't care at all until you kick her out.

Then she'll start begging.

What sucks was that you were never really a boyfriend to her, more like a babysitter.

Eventually you'd probably find someone better just like Neil did.

Overall if she didn't love you, she wouldn't care, and she wouldn't even deny it if she got caught. All she will worry about is if you'd kick her out.

However, if she did love you. She wouldn't even cheat to begin with but if she did, she probably would have been drunk or something.

She would apologize so much and try to fix things.

Obviously if she did it with a stranger than that was only a one-night stand and it will never happen again but if it was a friend, she'd just ignore them or not talk to them for a long while just to make you feel better about trusting her again.

She'd do anything to get you to forgive her if she actually love you.

Question is would you actually give her a second chance?

I am currently hooked on Past-senger. I don't know how possibly may have a happy ending but I am enjoying its lightness and humor. Did you notice Bamee house is the house of Tonhon in TonhonChonlatee?

I have tried Love syndrome III because I like its protagonists but it's terrible. How can the acting be that bad? I know from other series they are not that bad.

How the Koreans manage to give us such a steady string of wonderful stories such as Unintentional love story and The eighth sense? They always leave me with a nice aftertaste I don't get anywhere else.

Anon, Taiwanese BLs are my favorite, but I appreciate Thai QLs because so many are produced compared to the ZERO I've gotten from Taiwan in 2023. ZERO! The last BL Taiwan offered was HIStory 5: Love in the Future, which shared the time travel theme with Past-Senger, and as much as I love Taiwanese BLs and the HIStory franchise, I think Past-Senger did a better job with it.

Quantity does not equal quality, so Thailand having over fifty QLs a year doesn't necessarily equate to great stories or production value, but, much like Vietnamese and Filipino QLs, there is always a solid foundation with some heart at its core. Also, Thai series are easily available, for free. I haven't nor will I watch Love Syndrome III because I will hate it, and not in a fun hate-watch way, but some who watched it liked it because that's the beauty of variety; we have more to pick from based on what we like and there is something for everyone.

Past-Senger, with its Tonhon Chonlatee house, has its issues, and there are plenty including spotty sound, a clumsy final quarter, and odd pacing, but as you mentioned, it does humor well, and it takes the time-traveling aspect seriously compared to HIStory 5. When Kiew lands in the future, he is constantly reminded that he is out of place and not meant to be there, while HIStory 5 spent the first episode on that idea, then quickly moved along.

Korea tends to go back to the past (Tinted With You and Once Again) or for reincarnation (First Love Again and The Director Who Buys Me Dinner), but there is always in underlying melancholy to these since the narrative makes it clear these are "right person, wrong time" stories. Korea loves a time skip like Japan loves to make its guys run. But the issue most people as well as I have with Korean BLs is they are too short to properly develop the plot, the characters, and the resolution. For me, something is always rushed or lacking.

Yet Our Dating Sim has done the best "left him because I love him" plot out of all the QLs I've watched, and I think Star Struck might do well with it also. Both also demonstrate the Korean staple of "right person, wrong time" with time jumps that I just complained about, yet they are done well here.

As much as I stay rooting for Taiwan, I appreciate a range of queer media because every show is doing something different; therefore, each show has the possibility of doing it better.

Gameboys and Hello, Stranger, both Filipino offerings, gave us love stories about the pandemic DURING the pandemic, but unlike my Taiwanese See You After Quarantine?, I feel like some dismissed them simply because they were Filipino even though Gameboys was one of the biggest BLs of 2020 with its mask-off scene.

I didn't like Bad Buddy overall and I have intentionally never watched a MAME series, so you don't have to trust one word I wrote here, but all of this is really to tell you that as great as Korean dramas are, I encourage you to continue dabbling in other countries' offerings every now and then. I'm a HIStory 4: Close to Me whore first, and a human second, but I loved being surprised by how Bed Friends handled healing from trauma through a sexual relationship, how Moonlight Chicken presented generational and economic differences through a queer lens, and how Kabe Koji and My Beautiful Man showed how distorted views of self-worth can drastically harm the people who love us.

Gems are everywhere. We just have to be willing to shuffle through some dirt to find them. Consider Love Syndrome III your dirt, but perhaps a Mame series will be your gem.

I've talked about how Poppy would treat the weasels here and there. But I've never really discussed how I imagine their friendship would be (if they could be friends). So here it is!

(If my resources are correct, yellow roses symbolize friendship)

Since Poppy lives Downtown and has heard a lot about them, it would more than likely take a lot for her to trust them, let alone be friends with them (though she would be polite/nice either way. She believes one should take the high ground and remain at least civil during meetings. But she'll still be cautious). Though if she did grow to trust them, and they trusted her...

Poppy is the mom friend. The kind who will call you up just to make sure you're taking care of yourself, or try to be the mediator when there's conflict. So, in a way, that kind of makes her the opposite to Smartass' more harsh approach. But, even with his abrasive attitude, he does care for his team as well.

Even though she's not an official member of the gang, she would care for the others like she was. So she'd be talking to Smartass and asking him how things have been going, and she'll even ask how he is doing ("You seem really stressed. Are you ok?"). He may try to deny he needs help, but she can see through it (she knows too well trying to hide your problems rather than reaching out for help).

Smarty, I imagine, probably isn't used to people fretting over him. And he doesn't want to look weak since he's supposed to be the boss. He'd probably be harsh with her in the beginning, both to hide his confusion and subconsciously trying to see if Poppy is actually going to stick around.

It would take a long time for her to get through to him. Once she does though, he starts sharing more with her; what's going on with the group, how business is going, and eventually... He may accept her help whenever she offers it. And when that happens, they are officially the mom and dad of the group (the other weasels make jokes about this, it drives Smartass insane).

Greasy and Poppy would be an... Odd pairing. This weasel flirts with anything that moves, and that includes Poppy. And considering his approach with women, she uh... Gets overwhelmed, to say the least (she may or may not have held a chair against him like a gladiator at one or two points). So yeah, Greasy was only interested in getting some at first, and Poppy tried to keep her distance from him as much as she could.

Though, she still would have tried to ask about him if she doesn't see him. Mainly because she's friends with the others, and feels bad about not asking about him. Though she still does show care. And when she saw him genuinely upset for the first time (which was quite a shock to her; she's used to flirty Greasy, not negative Greasy), she would take the initiative to try to help him. Which in turn, would show Greasy the kind of person she was (he did always know, since it's his job to know people... But he was also blinded by the horny most of the time 😅). And seeing these different sides to each other probably would have been the turning point for their relationship.

Greasy probably does still flirt on occasion. But it's more him trying to be playful and less because he has an agenda (not that he would oppose getting laid if she was interested. This is still Greasy we're talking about after all 😅), and Poppy now takes it with a grain of salt. But more often than not, they'd be more like the 'extrovert adopts introvert' friends. Greasy tries to invite Poppy to go with him when he goes out, he shares the Toontown gossip with her (she wasn't much for gossip before... Buuut Greasy has ways of getting her full attention XD). And Poppy is just there, nodding along with him, and making sure he doesn't flirt with anyone he's not supposed to.

Also, they're totally cooking buddies. I love the idea of Greasy being the best cook, and Poppy would be pretty decent in the kitchen too (she's lived on her own for years. She's gotta be skilled for her own sake). They'd be spilling the tea in the kitchen and taste each other's cooking, and share recipes. Which she absolutely uses against him if necessary, ("Greasy! If you flirt with that married woman- I see the ring, and I know for a fact you do too- I'm taking away the chicken parmesan recipe!")

Being the most chill member of the group, Wheezy was probably the one Poppy found herself drawn to. Yes, his appearance and smoking was alarming to her at first, and she's still worried about Wheezy (even if they are toons). But between a guy with a napoleon complex, a serial pervert, a giggling loon, and a big oaf with a bat, Poppy would prefer being on the side of the room with the quiet guy.

They more than likely didn't talk that much. Especially at the beginning. They both can appreciate the quiet. As long as Poppy doesn't try to bother him while smoking, Wheezy wouldn't mind having her around. And when the others are being crazy, they both glance at each other in understanding for what's about to happen.

Since she doesn't want to disturb him and he doesn't show any interest in conversation (that she picked up on at least), then she would be nervous about talking with him outside of the usual checkup. So this time, it'd actually probably be Wheezy who opens up first. Maybe he asks how she's doing, or brings up a topic that he thinks she might be interested in. And if he does, Poppy would be happy to chat.

He also can help calm her down, in a way. If one or more of the others are stirring chaos, and Wheezy isn't reacting in any way, Poppy takes that as a sign that things are still cool. Or, when they get close enough, she starts opening up with him about what's on her mind (and offers him her own ear too). They'd just be two, very relaxed buds.

Also, as a bonus. I hc Wheezy has some sort of intuition pertaining to the whether. And Poppy will ask him what he thinks the whether will be more often than not, especially if she's got a bad feeling, ("Hey, Wheezy? What do you think is gonna happen today?" "Eh... A storm is brewing. Gonna be a loud one. Why?" *internally screaming in astraphobia*)

Another odd and very unexpected friendship would be Psycho and Poppy. They are from the same genre, but on two different sides. Not to mention with how easily frightened Poppy is, anyone would have expected Psycho to scare her off more than Gressy would have. And, initially, he did frighten her.

But, at the same time, they come from the same genre. They know what kind of life the other must have lived, they know what the other must have gone through during their time in front of the camera. They don't know each other, but there is an underlying sense of understanding for the other.

And that would have led them to finding out they have similarities. They're both oddballs in their own way, they both have interests in things more macabre (Psycho, everything related to horror. And Poppy, history, including the darker aspects of history, etc), and some things they both like. Like chatting about insects and paradoxes.

Sure, he may still startle her- both accidentally and purposefully- and there are things he does that greatly concern her, and she would be constantly apologizing for him in public ("I'm so sorry sir. Please, you don't have to call the police, he's my friend, I'll take care of this."). But they both look out for each other, and there are things that they share only with each other. Because they understand each other.

Stupid, in her eyes at the very least, is the sweetest member among all of them. Sure, he's clumsy, not the brightest, and follows Smartass' orders, but there's no way he can be that bad, right? She can hardly believe that Stu is a part of this gang in all honesty.

They probably would have taken the least amount of time to become friends. Stupid likes talking to people, and Poppy wouldn't mind a conversation with him. And she wouldn't really have the heart to get irritated at him- or anybody- if she had to translate things for him ("-And that's only going to exacerbate things." "What do you mean?" "Well you know how they can get." "No, what does 'ex-ah-cer-bate' mean?" "Oh! It means 'to make things worse'.")

Honestly, I can see her taking on like a big sister role for him. Sticking up for him when some stranger is giving him a hard time, and offering to help him better understand things he has trouble with. And I think Stupid would like that a lot. And even if she didn't help him, she is still nice to him; who can turn down kindness?

Also, Stupid would love sharing his interests in baking and sci-fi media, and Poppy would be more than happy to listen. Especially with baking; she isn't the greatest at baking since she doesn't do it so often, so this is Stupid's chance to teach Poppy instead of the other way around!

The curls tumbled over his face in one big clump, and he already knew his body was streaked with dirt underneath the clothes he pulled on after the change. Once they finished their conversation, he’d hop in the shower and painstakingly comb the knots from his hair. Then he’d probably fall back into bed and sleep for the rest of the day.

He nodded, shrugging one shoulder. “Trust me, it’s a big point of contention in the wolf community. Some people are annoyed by it because there’s a lot of heritage and tradition in our culture, so they think it’s insulting to have our species reduced to weak dogs. Other people like it because it makes humans underestimate us, if they think we’re real and out there somewhere. It keeps our secret.” In his opinion, it was probably better if the general public thought his kind were like they were in twilight or some other show. “Vamps don’t get along with us because we’re on top and there’s more of us than there are of them. Top 10 BLs, 2022 edition

I watched SO MANY shows in 2022. I probably watched more shows in 2022 than I watched in 2020 and 2021 combined. But also this was my first year watching BL shows. I did the Heartstopper to Young Royals to Bad Buddy pipeline and I loved Bad Buddy so much I started watching BL in all my spare moments. Anyway, here's my list:

Honorable mention to Secret Crush on You. Don't start with this if you're new to BL, maybe. It's a mess of a BL, but it has *THE* best friend group in all of BL, and Daisy's story is IN-fucking-CREDIBLE. I truly adored it.

10. My Ride. Incredibly sweet, incredibly tame, with an older gay couple as side characters. The story is just...adorable. Fluke P is just...adorable. (Bad kissing, be warned.) Still, loved it.

9. About Youth. This show needed 2 more episodes. Don't @ me. It did! Another incredibly tame, incredibly sweet show. The two main actors did a beautiful job. The love story is sweet as hell. Set in HS, if that's not your thing.

8. Heartstopper. I'm....not sure this is a BL, in all honesty. But I adored it and it belongs on this list, so...shrug. The casting was brilliant, and it's just a solid little show. Looking forward to season 2. You can find it on Netflix.

7. Triage. Um, this never got international release but trust me when I say it's worth finding. The time loop plot device is brilliant. I'm sorry to say they didn't stick the landing, or this might have been higher on the list.

6. Between Us. Because of the fact that this is airing in both 2022 and 2023 you might just see it on next year's list. If this show sticks the landing, it could be the best BL of the year, because it's so fucking modern in its take on BL. I love it.

5. Love in the Air. One of the shows I've rewatched the most; the first half is a fluffy romance novel that hits its beats PERFECTLY. Second half is okay but it has one of the most impactful NC scenes I've ever watched in BL. When Pai and Sky sleep together in episode...10? That's the first time Pai has ever slept with someone he loves, presumably. And it's...I don't know, it hits in a way other scenes don't.

4. Semantic Error. Technically, this is the first BL I ever watched and I was fairly meh on it. I rewatched it last month and I went nearly feral for it. Understanding BL helps with this one. It's masterful. It's beautifully done. Park Seoham is in it.

3. The Eclipse. Another HS BL. It's got its issues (episode 11 is...not good), but it's also REALLY fucking deep and really fucking sweet. Kan and Thua are one of my fave BL couples of the year. (RIP NeoLouis, sorry they're splitting you up, I liked you a lot.)

2. KinnPorsche. Yup, if you spent any time with me over the summer you know the levels of obsession I reached with this show. It's unlike any other BL I've watched, still. Again, it's not perfect, but it's fucking GOOD is what it is.

Bad Buddy. You can't be surprised by this. I KNOW it mostly aired in 2021 but it DID air new in 2022 so it counts. How do I love this show? Let me count the ways. I don't know, pals. It grabbed me and wouldn't let go. I write BBS fanfic. Everything about this show works for me, including the stupid sound effects (they're awful, I get it) and the terrible wardrobe (Pran, THAT? You're wearing that?). There's a pretty high probability that I get a Bad Buddy tattoo in the next few years. (Nong Nao, if you're curious.) I can't make you watch Bad Buddy. I can only tell you that when I finished it the first time around, I immediately started it again. It was my 2nd BL, and since then, I've watched 40-something others. Bad Buddy still wins.

Hi. I've been reading threw a number of your posts related to Loki 2021 and the general impression your post give is that you don't like how Loki 2021 has been written and present (which I understand because while Loki is not a favourite character of mine, I want to see his character done justices). And I guess I was just wondering how you would have tackled Loki 2021, using the plot elements that have been established in the show, but with your own spin. Thank you :)

That's a great question! I think the premise actually had a ton of potential. @nikkoliferous and I often talk about all the really cool things that could've been done and why it's so particularly tragic that they wasted all that good story setup. I think there are 3 main types of directions the story could've gone in with this premise (and then a lot of variations within each type).

Direction 1 - A buddy comedy with a heart

So I think this is what they were trying to go for with Loki and Mobius's dynamic based on the narrative framing and how all the interviews have presented Mobius in a positive light. (Though that's not what they actually wrote at all).

The way to do this would be to set Mobius up in a more sympathetic way and put him and Loki on more even footing. They could've had Mobius be almost as much a prisoner as Loki. They could have started out with him being pretty indoctrinated into the TVA worldview, but also being considered expendable. We could've seen his superiors threaten him with deletion if he can't make things work with the Loki Variant. Maybe he even feels some compassion for Loki and convinces his superiors that Loki can be useful and shouldn't be deleted since he's powerless to do anything else and he figures being enslaved is probably better than dying. Loki could actually be in-character and question Mobius's world view etc. And Mobius could to the best of his ability treat him decently instead of smugly mocking and tormenting him.

We could have Loki escape early on and end up bringing Mobius along with him, either by accident or because he realizes Mobius will be killed for losing him and he feels bad about it. Then we have them thrown together by circumstances and they could slowly grow to trust each other over the course of the show. The series could dig into the parallels between them. Loki could point out to Mobius that he repeats the propaganda he's been taught but he's hardly less of a prisoner than Loki and his masters are hypocritical. This could also lead to Loki realizing that while maybe he wanted to tell himself that he was an ally of Thanos's the truth was anything but.

While they're on the run both could start to realize they're experiencing freedom from the first time. Mobius could learn to question the TVA and Loki could realize that maybe he can be himself and doesn't have to be a tool of Odin or Thanos. Loki could could grapple with how much control he had while attacking NYC (thus allowing Disney to leave that a bit open to interpretation without totally sweeping the torture and mind control under the rug) and Mobius could grapple with how complicit he has been in the TVA's horrific actions.

Rather than Loki "learning to be trustworthy" (smh) Loki could learn to trust someone else and that not everyone will betray him. Mobius could also be a stand-in for more casual viewers and slowly realize that Loki isn't just the uncomplicated villain he at first took him for. There could be a nice mix of substantive character drama and entertaining hijinks. And of course in the end they could burn the TVA to the ground and liberate all realities. There's so many variations on this and @nikkoliferous and I often chat about them. Because the show could've been so good! And yet. </3

Direction 2 - The TVA & Mobius are acknowledged as the great villains they are

This is kind of what they're making by accident without acknowledging it which leads to a lot of emotional dissonance in the narrative. In canon the TVA is a horrific organization and Mobius seems happily complicit. He doesn't seem to have any compunctions about supporting their agenda of using murder, genocide, forced labor, enslavement, torture, police brutality, sham trials without due process, and privacy violation to eliminate free will. He happily forced Loki to toil under threat of death, mocks and humiliates him, manipulates him, and participates in acts of torture. He is INCREDIBLY creepy and a great embodiment of the "banality of evil" concept. The TVA is also absolutely terrifying.

If the show actually leaned into that it would create a great sense of narrative tension. Loki has escaped Thanos only to once again fall into the hands of a horrifically evil and powerful enemy. And it's up to him to figure out a way out of this situation and a way to liberate all of reality from their grip. In this scenario it might be useful to introduce some other prisoner characters so that he has some friendlyish faces to interact with...and potentially an army to lead against the TVA after he's won them over and figured out a plan.

Mobius's parallels to Odin and Thanos would work really well here because having Loki eventually defeat him and tell him he doesn't get to tell Loki who he is or make him into a tool of evil would be hugely cathartic. We'd get to see Loki stand up to and defeat someone who parallels the two individuals who have most hurt and manipulated him and decide to make his own way from now on rather than trying to be what others make of him. It would be awesome.

Direction 3 - TVA are twist villains

Some people think this might be the direction the show is going. The problem is that if that's true it'll just fall flat because the TVA is already clearly villainous so there's no twist. In the first episode already we see them commit acts of murder, genocide (wiping out a whole timeline because they believe the beings in that timeline belong to a class - variants - that are unworthy of life), police brutality, trial without due process, privacy violation, torture, and illegitimate imposition of rule (they are not elected in any sense and yet they have appointed themselves the arbiters of reality) all in the service of eliminating free will. That is...not what heroes do.

However they COULD have been good twist villains with just a few tweaks. Maybe they approach Loki and play on his deep yearning to be viewed as good and worthy as well as his self-hatred and poor self image to convince him that an "evil" version of him is wreaking havoc and they need his help. Maybe they also sweeten the deal by offering him protection from Thanos and the Black Order since he has no idea they are dead in this timeline. (If you wanted to keep audiences more in the dark you could have them just talk about the Black Order so that audiences at first assume they are still hunting Loki even tho Thanos is dead and don't realize the TVA is manipulating Loki).

At first they don't do anything overtly evil. The authoritarian aesthetic would seem like a humorous parody of office culture. It would then take on a new, much more sinister meaning when the TVA get's revealed as evil later and we learn that they obliterate entire timelines, murder people for the slightest infractions, don't view variants as people, and want to eliminate free will. Mobius could either appear first as a friend and then get revealed as a villain or have a redemption arc where he ends up siding with Loki.

Also for all of these scenarios the script and characterization should be good. I should see Loki, not Larry his dumb lookalike cousin. The script should have Loki doing and saying things that are in-character. (Which certainly doesn't preclude humor since Loki's wit is one of his most iconic features!)

" I'm so excited for Today! I can't wait to meet your Mentors! " Kirishima yelled with enthusiasm punching the air.

Everyone was gathered around Ground Beta for the sole reason that the Head of Agencies they were currently interning in were coming over to discuss the growth of the students, also because they chose U.A as the meeting Venue knowing that it's one of the places in Japan that is Highly guarded and secured and the School was Near the City so if anything were to happen they could always get there in a jeepy. There was another Reason but it wasn't disclosed to any of the students and nobody questioned it.

" Shut Up shitty Hair! " Bakugou snarled smacking Kirishima who seemed to be unaffected by Bakugou's ' affection ' towards him.

" Hey aren't You and Tokoyami Under Hawks's? The number 2 Pro Hero!? " Mina pointed out and suddenly everyone's attention was now settled on Y/n and Tokoyami.

Tokoyami had an unreadable expression but his face mostly showed that he was awkward and uncomfortable with the Topic. Not because of His Mentor... It's because of His Mentor's Interest.

Y/n on the other hand looked annoyed pissed, it was very obvious that neither of the two wanted to talk about it because of the lack of answer and their current expressions.

" So... What's it Like to be Under Pro Hero Hawks? " Momo began to press deeper onto the subject and was oblivious to her two classmate's look of disapproval. And it seems like she wasn't the only curious one.

" Well? " Jiro raised a brow when they didn't hear an answer. The two were very hesitant until y/n finally spoke up.

" Tokoyami-kun would I be breaking the law if I talk shit about him? "

" Eeehhhh!? " Everyone was confused as to why the sudden change of their classmate's personality took shift at a questionable rate.

" Technically there's no law about that and since he's not here to hear it... It's fine " Tokoyami answered with a straight face and his response got everyone questioning their experience even more.

" What the hell happened to you two while you were there? " Denki asked staring at the two. Tokoyami was hesitant but y/n just looked pissed and angry .

She showed irritation that could match Bakugou's.

" That's not something you should be asking me... You should be asking y/n that... I just had the unfortunate privilege to witness... That.... And I know a very dark secret I wish to unlearn " Tokoyami muttered at Everyone was fidgeting with curiosity while staring at y/n who looked like she was about to explode any minute now.

" Well if you Must know. On the first week I had to endure a bunch of whiny one night stand's Drama and Rage while trying to get them to go fuck themselves and trust me... Persuading a bunch of love struck delusional hoes to go home and keep silent for the rest of their lives isn't a very charming job. I had to suck in every single cheesy pick up lines that'll have anyone gagging, I had to endure being dragged around through the wonderful 'skies' like a ragdoll in the most unfortunate hour and I had to deal with Birdman's constant fuckery every single day so yeah... It wasn't that bad.... It was terrible. " Y/n's tone was forcefully dragged out and polite but her hostile expression got everyone shuddering.

Yes, Hawks was a flirt and he'd flirt with her with every chance he got, much to y/n's dismay. But knowing Hawks's reputation she brushed it off like it was one of his most common habits and got used to ignoring him, he was nice though and she felt like a sheltered child. Hawks never let's her go out to patrol on her own unless it's with Him and only Him. He constantly brings her gifts and snacks to which she is thankful and greatly flattered but she didn't like hearing Rumors about her with the Pro Hero himself. Overall she was thankful that she was being treated well but she didn't appreciate the special treatment.

Tokoyami on the other hand knew of his Mentor's love and affection for his Classmate, if he knew any better he found out that Hawks had imprinted on y/n like a new born chick. The reason Tokoyami knew that was because of the gifts, the flirting, Hawks's constant need to be around y/n, His possessiveness and Don't even get Tokoyami started on How much Hawks talks about y/n during patrol. Hell, Even when Hawks is literally stepping on a Villain's Face he'd still talk about How ' Perfect she was ' . At most of all, his Classmate was very unaware of Hawks's actual feelings and he's afraid he couldn't blame her simply because of Hawks's reputation as a 'playboy'.

" Wow.... I didn't think it would be like that.... Hawks's still pretty cool though " Sero muttered and that left y/n gawking at him because the least they could do was sympathize with her!.

" No shit " She grumbled sarcastically and she felt two hands grab hold of her shoulder behind her and speaking of the Devil, Hawks was already here.

" Hey there chicken nugget, what are you kids talking about? " Hawks asked leaning down , resting his chin on y/n's shoulder while both of his hands clamped down on each side of her shoulder blades protectively.

" Nothing Hawks, we were Talking about Nothing " Y/n who was already immune to the Touchiness of the male behind her was nonchalant on her reply and she sounded bored but her expression clearly showed ' Oh No, Not this Shit Again ' .

" Oh really? Well ok then baby bird but I have to say You look Perfect little dove but that is to be expected by my Epitome of beauty " Hawks grinned rubbing his cheeks against y/n's own in a very affectionate manner.

" Yeah, Yeah. Get off me Birdman you're getting that irritating Chicken stench on me " Y/n grumbled pushing him away from her to which she was successful with.

" Aww~ But you felt so soft " Hawks whined in an almost childish way.

Everyone was witnessing the very thing Tokoyami dreaded and they were choking on their own spit after seeing the interaction between the two.

They and so many questions yet so little answer and they knew they couldn't just bombard y/n with questions, not when Hawks was around.

" Uhh... You two seem.. Close" Denki commented to where he earned a proud grin from Hawks.

" No we're Not. He's just being A flirt, you'll Get used to it " Y/n snickered rolling her eyes at Hawks who was trying to hug her.

" You should have heard How much He talks about her at Home... He's like a broken Radio. Y/n this and that " Todoroki snorted and his comment got everyone gaping.

It didn't look that way to everyone else, it was clear that the Pro Hero liked her if throwing himself around her wasn't enough, the look in his eyes definitely spoke otherwise.

" So this is the little Lassy Hawks have been talking about? " Fatgum along with the rest of the pro Heroes Were slowly gathering towards them.

" This is Her? She's adorable in person . Keigo Never stops talking about her at home" Another voice came from a woman with white hair, and is almost identical to Shoto.

" .... Hah! You should hear what he has to say when he's asleep " Dabi murmured with a laugh.

" .... You Talk about me? " Y/n asked staring at Hawks who was nodding his head, a smirk plastered on his face.

" Ewww, Stop that. It's annoying and creepy " Y/n sighed shoving Hawks away.

" Isn't she lovely? " Rei mumbled a small chuckle escaping her lips as Dabi stared at her in bewilderment .

" So you're not gonna question their age gap?..... Really mom? " Dabi snorted and enji stood behind him, patting his back.

" You know how your mother is " Enji muttered staring down at his son.

" You have a point.... "

By now everyone was gathered around, some of them chatting with their mentors and some were meeting their classmate's other mentors.

Rei, Enji and Dabi were intently observing Keigo who looked so close to snapping, sure his face looked playful and relaxed but they knew him well enough to know that it was Keigo's facade.

On the other side was Y/n and Hawks talking to Fat gum, well it was only y/n showing enthusiasm about their conversation, Hawks had never left her side the whole time. Always trailing behind her like a lost puppy.

" That's really cool! I heard from Kirishima that you have two Forms? " Y/n's eyes gleamed with curiosity.

" Why yes little lady " Fat gum answered as he nervously glanced at Hawks. He could feel the raging intensity of Hawks's Jealousy radiating brighter than the sun's ray. To which y/n was oblivious of.

" Ya know buddy, you really have nothing to worry about when it's me " Fat gum stated his words directed towards Hawks who let out a sigh and gave him a genuine smile for once.

" Sorry, I couldn't help it when it comes to my little dove " Hawks chuckled slinging his arm around her shoulder and y/n immediately reacted by shoving his arm away without even glancing at him.

" Stop talking about me like I'm not here " Y/n muttered to which Hawks replied by doing it again and y/n shoved his arm again.

Fat gum was both entertained and a bit awkward with the situation until he spotted his side kick. Tamaki whom he had kindly asked to pick up something for him

" Anyways! That's enough you two, I'd like you to meet Tamaki Amajiki. He's my sidekick " Fat gum proudly introduced Tamaki who froze in his spot and began trembling nervously.

" Oh wow! I've heard so much about him! Our class was introduced to him before! But I never got to see his face clearly because he had his face on the wall the whole time! Let's start all over again. Hey I'm y/n l/n! Nice to meet you senpai... For the second time " Y/n grinned putting her hand out to shake his.

Tamaki who was nervous and flattered that someone remembered him shakily reached out his hand to shake hers but a look of pure shock flashed through his face when Another hand met his.

" Nice to meet you Buddy " Hawks grinned in an odd and threatening manner squeezing poor Tamaki's hand .

" U-u-uhh" Tamaki stuttered at y/n was annoyed at Hawks's actions.

" Hey! I was the-- you know what? Never mind. Anyway, senpai I heard stories about you from Kirishima-kun! And I think you're really cool! And you're cuter up close! " Y/n tried easing the nervous senior with compliments in order to atone the actions of Hawks. But Hawks took it in a different way.

Tamaki flushed red and Hawks let go of his hand with disdain, his eyes having a deadly glint and his smirk almost looked threatening and sadistic.

Fat gum who witnessed the scene knew he fucked up by calling Tamaki over, the Todoroki family were astonished to see how reactive Hawks could be when y/n was involved. At home he was really hard to read and when they thought they knew him Hawks suddenly surprises everyone by proving them wrong. But now his expression looks so raw and unmasked.

" Tsk, He doesn't Look much to Me " Hawks suddenly spat out in an irritated tone.

Y/n elbowed him after seeing Tamaki's expression.

" He doesn't mean that! He's just really insensitive... Aren't you Hawks? " Y/n glared at the man beside her and he scoffed looking away.

" You're actually really powerful Senpai! Trust me! Kirishima talks about you all the time it's adorable seeing him look up to someone who's equally as cute as Kirishima " Y/n tried covering the damage done by Hawks and Tamaki was conflicted. He didn't know who to believe anymore.

Another scoff was heard from Hawks and before he could make another comment y/n stepped on his feet making him wince.

" Ouch! " He grumbled looking down at y/n who was glaring at him threateningly.

Jealousy bubbled at the very core of Hawks, She called two men cute at the same time and she dared to do it in front of him! He praised men who aren't him. Sure they aren't official but isn't it clear that he was showing how much he could give her? He knows he's enough but it seems like his little dove was very dense. It's starting to irritate him. He didn't feel good inside and he really wanted to punch a bitch. Was she taunting him? Oh she definitely was. Just look at how she looks at them , it really makes him want to rip off someone's throat.

His wings began to bristle and rose intimidatingly the edges becoming sharp and ridged, jealousy was getting the best of him.

With a rough Tug, he dragged her away forcefully even with the harsh protest from the girl.

" Hey! Ok this is getting out of hand! " Y/n pulled her hand away and Hawks looked back at her with a gaze that could kill.

" Stop taunting me Y/n. I'm not handling it well " Hawks muttered but his voice was rough and demanding. Y/n shivered at how her name rolled out of his tongue. He never uses that tone or calls out her name like that unless she's in deep shit.

" Clearly, you're mad about shit I didn't do so go cool off or something " Y/n shot back her expression was out of sheer anger and Hawks responded by spreading his wings and he flew off without another word.

With a sigh y/n went back to her classmates, she was unaware if the stares that were thrown her way.

" A lovers quarrel? " Mt. Lady mumbled.

" Definitely a Lovers Quarrel " Fat gum confirmed.

" Is no one seriously questioning the fact about their age gap? " Dabi stated and Rei gave him a cold glare. Even shoto was seen glaring at him from his group.

" Ok fine jeez " Dabi shrugged shoving his hands into his pockets.

20 minutes had passes and Hawks was still gone, by that time everyone was gathered around, the class was seated on the ground as the Pros started giving out their opinions and deductions on hm their performance.

Rei began to feel worried about her adopted son that had raged out of the area. Enji tried reassuring her that Keigo was old enough to take care of himself.

And on cue Hawks had arrived holding a box in his hand, he looked calmer now and more relaxed.

" Keigo dear, are you ok? " Rei asked approaching the male.

" Yeah I'm fine... Just needed a little breather.... " He muttered, his eyes glued to y/n who was listening intently to the discussion. Rei noticed this and a smile graced her lips.

" Go get her dear " Rei encouraged the male and Hawks flashed her a grin.

" Oh I will. And I'm going to make sure you're going to have a daughter in law soon " Keigo smugly stated and Rei's eyes widened only to have the woman laugh.

Luckily the little lessons the Pro's were conducting had finished and everyone was free. As the students began to stand up. Y/n was pulled away immediately by Hawks. And once she was a few feet away a box was shoves towards her. She was caught off guard but managed to hold it in her hands as she lookes up at Hawks questioningly.

" What's this? " The girl asked suspiciously.

" You like that doughnut shop near our agency yeah? I was flying by and decided to buy some for you as a Sorry present.. I admit that I went overboard... " Hawks explained rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

" What!? I can't accept thi---"

" Eat it or Throw it. I'm giving it to you and that's final so do what you want with it... Although it would be a waste if you throw it away... I did go out of my way to buy that for you with my own money even though I was still angry---"

" Ok fine you don't have to guilt trip me! I'll accept it ok?.... But you did say I could do what I want with it so... I'm sharing this with everyone " Y/n smiled and Hawks snapped his head towards her his eyebrows furrowed.

" What? No. I bought that For YOU not for them " Hawks grumbled and the girl gave him a playful smirk.

" You did say it was mine and I could do whatever I want with it " She replied slyly and Hawks turned away stomping his way towards Rei, Enji and Dabi.

" Ooo... You got it Bad. She's denser than a--"

" Don't finish that Touya I swear " Hawks glared at Dabi who only laughed at his protectiveness.

" Just be patient Keigo, she is young and she probably still doesn't have Love on her mind yet " Rei assured Keigo while rubbing his back.

" Tsk. You better not give up. You're a Todoroki after all , and I already acknowledge her as a daughter in law... No crazy woman would stomp their feet on the number 2 hero like that " Enji nodded and Hawks should be delighted but his eyes were glued to the girl.

She was sharing the doughnuts he bought for her and the last straw came when she had fed Kirishima with a doughnut.

His fathers on his wings bristled and the ends began to sharpen, his eyes darkened at the sight and his teeth were gritted.

The girl took notice of this and approached him. God he was losing it. One wrong move and he might forget the fact that she's still a minor and just go straight up to breeding her if he had to. Fuck everything she does is turning him on . He is smitten.

" Hey what's wrong? "

" You have the guts to ask me ' What's wrong?' Oh why don't ask that to all the other guys you fed doughnuts to? The ones I bought for you! You're so oblivious it's starting to piss me off little dove. Was I not subtle enough? I fucking Like---mphf--" Hawks was cut off when a Doughnut was shoved in his mouth by the girl in front of him.

" Shut your worm Hole You stupid Birdman, I like you too ok? But please stop being so annoying. I'm also protecting your reputation as a Hero here. I can't have you all over the tabloids stating that you like a high schooler. You'd be seen as a pedophile you dumbass " The girl finished and was about to pull her hand away from his mouth when he grabbed hold of her wrist, he kissed her finger gingerly before licking and sucking on that very finger she held the doughnut .

She froze, Dabi Froze, Everyone froze.

" What the fuck? " Katsuki was she first to speak up.

" I second that ' What the fuck ' " Y/n muttered and Hawks gave her a look that could have her melt into a puddle. A smug and triumphant grin plastered on his face as his arms wrapped around her waist possessively.

" Awww~ it warms my heart to know that you're protecting me that way. For a moment there I thought you don't care and all that shitty jealousy was so worth it because you told me you like me in the end.... " Hawks cooed his face nearing hers and she immediately distanced her face away from him.

" Hawks get off me! " She yelled her face was flushed and he had the sudden urge to kiss her right now.

" You'll have to pay for making me jealous though. It was not a very pretty feeling " Hawks grinned before his wings spread open and gave one strong flap and he was already flying her away from the scene.

" Holy shit.... Dude " Denki muttered staring up at the sky.

" Enji! Do you think we should renovate the house? " Rei asked enthusiastically.

" I think we just might have to " Enji replied.

" .... I ship it though " Mina stated and the girls gave an unspoken agreement to her statement.

" So... How many chicks do you think they'll have? " Dabi asked and Rei smacked him.

" Touya! " Rei scolded making Dabi chuckle.

" Nah it's too early... He won't knock her up just yet... Or will he? " Dabi grinned and this time Rei had frozen him in place.

" Touya! Stop that! " Rei fumed.

Dabi shut up immediately fearing Rei's wrath after seeing her angry expression.
