Seeing those “movies I would sell my soul to watch for the first time again” posts around social media and I’m just thinking the only movie I’ve really felt anything for besides Ghibli movies is Across/Into The Spiderverse.

Into The Spiderverse definitely gave me my animation special interest bc I watched it when it came out in 2018. It was a huge part of my life and is also why I got into art. It just inspired me, not a lot of movies do that for me.

Across The Spiderverse was also just absolutely breathtaking and I love EVERYTHING about it. It quite literally lifted the art block off of my shoulders. Keep in mind I’ve been in art block for about a year up until I saw this movie.

I’m just realising what a big part of my life these movies have been and god I just love them both so much, they just make me so happy and I remember the actual adrenaline rush I got when I watched them both for the first time. I don’t feel much about most media so it’s a big deal for me.

Kiku has new ships (and not new ships 😅) special interest time lol

Kiku has been watching Lord of the Rings with partners

And Kiku now ships Legolas and Gimli and Thorin and Blibo. And Kiku already shipped Frodo and Sam.

Kiku has read so much fanfiction.

Kiku's favorite so far has been one called Sansûkh 😭😭😭

So good. And Kiku has seen such good art. 😭

Gimli and Legolas are so dense, in all the fics 😂 It's very good.

hello! I am currently working on a comic about autistic special interests. The idea is to show others what it’s like to have one. I know that my special interests have done many things for me in my life, and I’ve heard of what they’ve done for others too. I made a list! So far it’s been helpful for the comic, but I’d like to hear from other people too! If anyone has anything they’d like to contribute to this list, please leave a comment!

Emotional support/companionship

Humor, excitement, fondness…

Lowering stress

Increasing confidence

Boosting your mood in general

Having something nice and interesting to take up space in your mind

Having something familiar to focus on when you're unsure or upset

A sense of familiarity and home that you can take anywhere with you, no matter what

2. Utilizing your skills

These skills might include data collecting, complex visualization, different types of memory, problem solving, it could be ANYTHING that you can do.

Allowing you a safe environment to practice and explore different things

A means to achieve flow (heavy, enjoyable concentration)

A way to challenge yourself to do new things, while using the knowledge you already have

A means of communication

Helping you concentrate on something boring

Something to do INDEPENDENTLY instead of relying on someone else's help

~26/1/2023~ TB ^^ to me and the mothership being proper tourists on a trip to the Titanic Museum on a rainy day in Belfast… I felt in some ways slightly better fatigue wise at least at first - been starting the extra antihistamines to try to get on top of the MCAS flare though. I was up and dressed by the time H arrived, which is an achievement. Felt a bit unsettled at first as landlords said that someone needed to come into my flat for part of an insurance quote (for them not me) - workmen coming into my home is a huge trigger, but turned out I didn’t have to be home for it, so went out with H and the landlords let them in, which felt like a better plan. Me and H were heading to get the park and ride into Brighton when she had a phone call from her daughter’s school saying she’d been s*ck, so we had to head back to collect her and drop her home first, but as H now didn’t have to do the school pick up, meant she could stay longer with me - we made it to Brighton. Had lunch in McDs - though it was at one that seems to have the slowest table service ever as they have a lot of Deliveroo orders :/ Then had a wander round Bert’s Homestore, Primark, and Poundland where I picked up some super glue to sort out the inner soles of my new wellies - actually ended up being asked for ID for it - apparently you need to be 18 + to buy super glue! Wished we had enough time for a sea walk after, but had to head home. Having been clumsy with NordVPN I think I was enjoying my shop "once a half a year" tendency too much... must've been an algorithmic error that happens almost never. I blame the Internet after Covid-19... A month or two has past since I was designated "Cristt1442" as my "new" username after being low on security. It was "Onkentaru" from my younger gaming entry days... I tried changing it to "InitialxNova" for a deviation of my original "out of this area" gaming "tag" for RPGs... I am already Onkentaru... LOL anyway I got my username changed and password aswell but I keep way low. So I will acccept an addition to my "name" memorabilia Neck. It is a trophy from the Pornhub administrators I am aware. the first message is a verbatim message i was sent by someone last night. i didn't actually respond with this lol i just blocked him 'cause he's been yanking me around like a master manipulator and i am through.

i want to be surrounded by people who love what i have to say. by those who love my "too much" writing.
