the most helpful thing i have ever seen from neurodivergent internet spaces is “THERE ARE OTHER TIMES OF DAY TO BRUSH YOUR TEETH”. this has genuinely saved me from executive dysfunction spirals so many times.

People on the internet treat autism like it's some cute, childish thing, but like, autism and the trauma that comes with it have literally lead me to severe alcoholism, anger issues and a criminal record.
This post goes out to autistic addicts and autistic people who have personality disorders and autistic people who have hurt people during meltdowns and autistic people who have been in trouble with the law and autistic people who have been diagnosed with every mental illness under the sun only to find out it was autism all along.
You are loved. Your trauma and your reactions to it do not make you a bad person.

Kind of related to that post I made a couple days ago but I love you people who make “odd” animal-like noises, especially people who don’t do that on purpose, I love you people who growl when they’re frustrated, I love you people who mimic the animals around them, I love you people who bare their teeth when feeling threatened/on edge, I love you people who make purring noises when they’re happy/satisfied

Hey btw if you have an autistic person in your life pls know that they do care about you. They're bonding with you by sitting near you, by sending you memes, by liking your posts, by info dumping to you. We have weird ways of showing we care but trust me we do.

YO BITCHES AUTISTIC PEOPLE CAN BE TRANS TOO
DON'T MATTER IF THEY GOT NO DAMN IQ, OR IF THEY SMART AS ALBERT FUCKING EINSTEIN
WE ALL DESERVE THE RIGHTS TO TRANSITION IF WE FUCKING WANNA

i dont know what autistic person needs to hear this but your sensory wellness is so important. and that goes beyond just avoiding things that trigger immediate distress. sensory enrichment is vital too! do things that make you feel safe and comforted and happy and alive. it's not insignificant. it's not silly. it's part of taking care of your lovely autistic self and enjoying life. your life, which thrives when your wants and needs are met.

Haven't seen a post like this so I'll make one: Shoutout to the autistics that have special interests that people find creepy (for example horror , true crime things , knives but could also be anatomy etc because that might come off as creepy)
Double shoutout to autistics who enjoy talking about these things with no awareness that people find it creepy/get uncomfortable when hear it.

You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and like doing “childish” things
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and like watching kid’s cartoons
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and like wearing cutesy/Kidcore outfits
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and sleep with a stuffie or pillow
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and wear diapers for fun/comfort
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and age regress
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and like to stim by sucking on a pacifier
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and you personally compare your own brain to that of child as to better understand yourself
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and call yourself a kid/child even though you’re a “legal adult”
You’re not “contributing to the infantilisation of autistic people” if you’re autistic and for liking childish things or being child like in nature
Ableists are when they deny you autonomy or assume you’re stupid and need to be treated/talked to like a child just because you’re autistic

Aggressive reminder that people with disabilities are real people who deserve to be seen as hot or sexual (and not because of our disability). People with disabilities are valid sex partners. Someone’s disability does not detract from their attractiveness. This also means don’t fetishize disabilities. We are capable of being sexy on our own terms and that looks different to everyone. (always remember consent is key)
