Ever since his fake death, Itadori has been training alone with the help of Gojo - and now, he works along a freshly new face, who belongs to a senior, founds out ex-salaryman named Nanami Kento. He's far a thousand times more strict than Gojo. Itadori doesn't really likes the change, because Nanami is a person he can't get along. This whole guy's appearance scream "work 4 life"; he has proved different, now he screams "work is shit - but I gotta do it because others won't".
They've just finished cleansing the outside of a movie theater off a few curses, when Itadori hears shouting from far behind them. Two figures approach, waving excessively. He quickly picks on Nanami's tired sigh beside him.
"Nanami! We figured out you'd be here! Our mission has been finished and we wanted to catch up to have lunch together!" A male clad in a full black outfit shouts, he has brown hair and a beanie on top of his head, looking quite content.
The other person simply trots next to him in silence, approaching with a friendly smile. They notice Itadori faster than the male, smile widening and quickly waving hello, suddenly eager to reach up to them. The gesture makes the pink haired boy perk up, curious to why the other person looked so joyful. His question is easily answered, when they tug on the man's sleeve and motion to him.
"Ino, we have a third buddy!" The dude looks at him with widened eyes. "So nice to meet you, I'm Y/N L/N! It's great to see new faces around!"
Itadori smiles at your energy, knowing already he would click with you very well.
"I'm Ino Takuma, sorry for not noticing you before! Your uniform looks cool." Itadori exchanges a few compliments with Ino, before the man turns to talk with Nanami, leaving him and you together.
"Yes! I'm Sukuna's vessel, Itadori Yuuji-desu! My type of woman is Jenn-"
You turn to him. "So, are you a first year?"
"Geh? Weren't you dead though?!"
"I was!- I am!- Please keep secret."
"Okay!"
"Ahem." Nanami coughs, drawing attention. "I requested you two to not come after me today. Itadori here is the reason why."
"That's no problem, we're very capable of keeping secrets." You threw your arm over Itadori's shoulder, him nodding along with you.
"Oh really, then remember to keep quiet about it. I'll let this slide." The group of students nervously at Nanami's intimidating tone. "But, I'll get to have my break alone."
"Gah!" Ino exclaimed, watching Nanami walk away; he also left the responsability of taking care of Itadori for you two, leaving without a word. "It really had to be today, when Nanami would take us to his favorite bakery..."
"Crybaby." You teased. "Itadori here can't go outside where anyone can see him, he's dead. So, we were to order food either way because he shouldn't be left out."
"Augh okay, it would be unfair."
"So, where are you staying Itadori?"
"At Gojo's state!"
"Whoa, I've never been there before." Ino commented, waiting as you sent a message to Ijichi to pick them up.
"He's my teacher, a very cool one!"
"I imagine! Ooookay, once we get there I'll get the food."
Itadori felt as his chest would burst of excitement, finally there was people around him again, he couldn't be less happy about it.
"Sharing is caring!"
Itadori laughed as you wrestled with Takuma for some fries, netflix long forgotten in the background, as watching the banter was way more entertaining. Most of the time, Ino rambled a lot about Nanami, while he rambled a lot about Gojo. The guy even showed him the cool scar under his beanie. He felt kinda upset after explaining the exchange was just temporary, his stay under Nanami's wing wasn't decisive, and therefore, he was more like a classmate than a partner.
Itadori also learned a lot about you. He was surprised to find out that you, although energetic, was the one to speak the lesser in conversations. His surprisement grew even bigger when you told him you're a exchange student from Kyoto, arriving Tokyo about the same month as him - thankfully, you were to say for good.
Conversations flowed easily in the air, until a voice from the doorway barged in.
"Yuuji-kun! Don't forget about your lessons! Hi kids! Bye kids!" Gojo said playfully, throwing the familiar punching bear to Itadori before leaving.
"What's this thing?" Ino asked.
"It's to help me control my cursed energy. So while I watch the movies, if I don't charge it with cursed energy it punches me square in the face. I thought I had mastered this thing already, but he insist I keep training with it." Itadori grumbles.
"At least it's cute." You commented, taking a sip of your drink.
"Until it punches you in your face without warning!" The pink haired boy barks.
The talks died down, the three of you eating quietly when another movie is played on the screen. Itadori didn't bother reading the title, it was a plain one about a zombie apocalypse that got him extremely bored, yet he kept watching still so the plushie didn't punch him in the face again; he's been keeping a record since all his last cursed energy training lessons were a sucess to this day. When his head started nodding and eyelids dropping Itadori can't remember well, about fourty five minutes of movie perhaps? Make it fifty, the second slumber took over his body completely.
When he awoke once again, it was near midnight, the clock on the wall told him so. He also noticed a soft and warm surface supporting his head, figures, it's your shoulder he's resting into, he feels an arm around his own shoulders and your cheek placed upon his hair.
"Hey, it's late." You immediately notices he's awake, calling out softly. "You should sleep on your room, or something, better to your spine."
He chuckles when you poke his side. "But I'm comfortable here."
"I'm surprised, you just met me today, and now is sleeping on my shoulder."
"I'm not, that happens often to me."
"Sleeping on people's shoulders?"
"No! Making friends quickly." Itadori likes your gentle warmth, your hug, everything makes him feel at home. "I met two more people before you for two weeks, but they can't see me, because I'm dead."
"So I'll keep you company, that's my new mission."
His eyes widen at that, a oh so little blush covering the tip of his ears.
"For how many time I slept anyway?" He asks.
"About two- no, three hours. You missed two movies, and this one is about to end."
"And you stayed here the whole time?" He motions to your shoulder.
"Yep. That reminds me I gotta pee."
Itadori grumbles, but quickly lifts himself off you, respecting your needs. That gives him some time to look around, he notices Ino is gone, and the plushie sits quietly at the other side of the couch, unmoving.
"Y/N! How did you manage to make it quiet down?" He's beyond bafflet.
"...que."
"What!"
"I said!" You arrive quickly at the doorframe, hands still wet from when you washed them. "I used my innate technique."
"Oh! How is it like?"
"It's kinda funny, gimme a moment." You left to wipe off your hands, coming back in a second. "So, just like Shoko, I produce reverse curse energy, but it's quite different than hers, I can't heal people. That's why we often call it positive energy instead. I can use it to soothe off negative energy, so the bear has no cursed energy right now."
"How does it works on people?" He felt very curious about everything, asking away like a kid.
"Since everyone has negative energy, it just makes you sleepy really. But when it comes to curses it's really practical, I can either weaken it or, if the curse is like grade three or four, I can slap them off existence completely by wiping all their energy." You were naturally proud of having a such versatile power, your own energy swirling with pride around you.
"That sounds amazing! Is it why I fell asleep though?"
"Nah, only if I did it on purpose. I guess you were just tired, hope you don't mind I decided to let you rest today."
"No way, it was a good nap."
You nodded. "By the way, Ino left to attend to a drinking party, he paid for our food."
"Drinking? Is he old?"
"Yeah, he's twenty." You chuckled, already expecting that kind of reaction.
"No way! He looks young just like us!"
"That's totally my reaction after I learned he's twenty!"
After that day, you started visiting Itadori weekly to daily, after exchanging numbers he made a little group with you and Ino, naming it the "Nanami trio". But really, he exchanges more texts with you in private, be them memes, cool images he wish to share, etcetera. Although, Ino wasn't left excluded, he ofter brough his xbox to connect to Itadori's tv room and you all would spend hours playing together; he just didn't spend much time with both of you as much. And that was okay.
For a few days, your connection with Itadori died down when he didn't reply to your texts. They would remain unread for some time, the longest being half a day, until he would spam apologies then move on with the topic. That became a routine until one day when you came over to check on Itadori unnanounced, needin to ease off your worries about the boy, only to find him sobbing in the middle of a hallway, staring ahead and beyond, his back to you.
"Ita-?"
"Egh!" Startled, he scrambled to wipe his eyes, turning to you. "H-hey, um, hi."
"What happened?"
"I- he-" His eyes didn't met yours, knuckles white in a death grip. You notice he has a few bandages thrown over his face and arms. The way his shoulders are drawn, as if he wants to shrink into himself is something you've experienced before.
"Something hard to talk about?"
He nods almost immediately, head still facing down.
"It's alright, come with me." You reach for his hands, grimacing slightly when his forceful grip is now on your hand, yet you don't comment on it. He follows you through the state wordlessly.
You two stop on the same tv room, sitting down on the couch. You then guide his head to your shoulder, gently massaging his scalp with the free hand.
"It's alright."
Those two words are chanted like a prayer for the next half hour, at some point, Itadori twisted his body towards yours and unknowingly caged you between him and the sofa arm. He embraced you with a force you didn't have in you, like he didn't want to lose one another. Painful or not, not a muscle moved on your body. He needed a shoulder to cry on.
Thirty minutes passed like seconds, you peered down only to find the boy confortably napping against your bosom; at some point you just became the cold side of the pillow to him. That's alright. It brings you joy to be the mom friend anyways. So you decided to join the sleepland aswell, arms still secured around his shoulders and the back of his head.
It feels like the nap hasn't been long, though, because you can feel Itadori's grip loosening and therefore, you're awake.
"Sorry if I broke any bones, in advance."
"Wow, and you only warn me now."
He laughs at your comeback, hands still secured around your waist.
"I'm surprised you let me uh, cuddle you for comfort - and sleep. I don't understand it? You just make me sleepy." He rambled, keeping eye contact with you while his head still rests on your chest.
"That's a piece of cake when you have younger siblings who seek for you every night they get a nightmare."
"Does that mean I can come to you again if I have a nightmare?" There it is, his togepi-kirby cutesy face.
"Are you four?"
"That's mean!" Itadori blushed, squeezing you on his arms. "I like the contact. It puts me at ease."
"Mm, do you want to talk about it?"
He gulped. "No, not really."
Your peach haired friend remained silent, and so did you. It seems he doesn't intend in letting you go soon, or he just really forgot to mention it. It gives them time to think, your younger sisted used to do that sometimes, back in Kyoto.
"Y/N, wanna watch anything?"
"Sure, have you watched Parasyte before?"
"No, let's give it a try then!" Itadori glances at the remote, then back at you - making you confused over his hesitation to move. He notices you noticed it, chuckling nervously. "To be honest, I don't wanna let go."
"It's hurting my back."
"SORRY I'M SORRY!" He jumped away from you like a cat would jolt away from a cucumber, making you snicker.
"It's okay, I just wanted to change positions."
And to tease you, but he didn't need to know that part.
He glared at you with a small pout, typing the initials of Parasyte on the search bar. Outside his line of vision, you were grinning like a idiot, his sweeteness took a tow on you. All the people of Tokyo you met really held a way different spirit from your classmates in Kyoto, Itadori being the nicest of all. It's surprising him being Sukuna's vessel to begin with; being honest, you felt drawn by it.
"Y/N, it's startiiiiing." He cut your daydreaming short, slumping on your side and propping his head on your shoulder.
"This again?" You throw an arm around his shoulders, very much like the first time he cuddled himself on you.
"Don't blame me, you're the one who wanted to change positions. Guess I'll just make some alterations since I'm awake this time!" One of his arms went behind your back and circled your waist, hand resting at your hip.
"It's definely different, since the other time you drooled on me."
"Hhgh, okay okay! Let me enjoy this." For perhaps the actual first time, you're able to watch without exchanging words with one another.
And this time, it's you who's head loll to the side, nose buried on his soft rose perfumed hair. Itadori doesn't comment on it yet, his free hand moves under your legs to lift your whole body up efortlessly when he senses you have fallen asleep.
"I remember you said it's bad for my spine, I wouldn't mind it... yours however."
The boy makes a beeline to the guest room, he sighs when there is no choice but open the door with his foot. Inside, he places you carefully in the soft bed.
Before he could leave, a hand reaches up for his sleeve.
"Itadori," He turned, looking at you. "Make me company?"
He giggles softly - you think it sounds like a highschool girl. "You should start calling me by my first name!" Itadori rambles as he climbs on the bed, arms wrapping around your waist in a motion you're familiar with.
"Yuuji, I'm tired, let me sleep."
"But I wanna talk more..." He pouts. "Also, are we, um, dating?"
You wriggle around, bringing his head down to peck on his forehead, teasing. "Correction, I want to date you."
"Uh, oh." A blush coats his face so quickly, you'd say someone dumped a bucket of red paint on his face.
"Is that a no?"
"No!"
"So it is a no."
"Christ, will you stop teasing for a second, I'm trying to talk here." He makes an angry version of his togepi-kirby face, you can't help but grin.
"You amuse me, but okay. I'll do it for you."
"Thanks." He blinks, the blush slowly fading away. "You know, I lied, not about the contact, I like the contact nonetheless-"
His hand moves to play with yours, such as tapping his tips against yours, or meassuring the palms.
"-it's you who brings me comfort."
It's also your turn to blush, that line was seriously charming.
"Yeah."
"Yeah?"
"Yes, we're dating now." You respond, a little eagerly. "Can I kiss you?"
"Please."
This is the best person I could ask for, Itadori thinks, keeping his eyes open as yours shut during the kiss, whom I won't change for anything else in this world.
When you both separate, Itadori feels drowsy and sleepy. His face fits perfectly on your shoulder as always.
"Goodnight, my favorite person."

TwiFicMas20 Day 3: Married in Vegas
I hope December is treating everyone well <3 Today’s offering is ‘Married in Vegas’. G requested it to be included in FicMas months ago, and it’s here. In pieces, because I may have over-estimated how ‘ready’ it was to be seen.
It also degenerated into something terribly depressing, when I was definitely going for something happier, rom-com meets coming of age, so large chunks definitely need to be rewritten.
Oh, and if you want more of a specific fic, you NEED to tell me, or it will simply languish on my harddrive, forgotten forever.
Onwards!
--
I meet him on a Thursday night, in the shitty little bar where I work. We talk, he drinks, and then he leaves.
By Saturday night, I am Mrs Alice Whitlock-Hale, with a ring bought from some cheap jewellery vendor and a plastic flower crown in my hair.
It was the best night of my life.
--
Okay, so I could start at the beginning. But the true beginning is a four-year-old girl being left behind when her mom runs away with her baby sister, and the middle is when, at fourteen, that girl is thrown out of her father’s house. She tries to go home once, at sixteen, only to find out that her dad and step-monster moved away. Left the state and left her behind without so much as a forwarding address.
But that story is depressing as hell, so we’ll start when things get interesting.
My ‘husband’ – Jasper Whitlock-Hale - was a strapping 6-foot-something soldier fresh from his last tour – honourably discharged, he was quick to inform me when we first met, and I could tell that was a point of some pride for him.
I worked at a bar called ‘Sassy’s’. It had been opened in the 70s and I was pretty sure it hadn’t been cleaned or redecorated since those halcyon days. The current owner was Bruno – his son, Emil, was the manager. They were both decent, in that they paid me on time and never groped me. It’s pretty sad when those factors qualify as ‘decent’, but you tend not to be too picky when you’re applying for work at places like ‘Sassy’s’.
Especially when you’re an underage runaway.
How were we still in business? Well, we did dollar beers after nine at night (it wasn’t good beer), and we served pretty good nachos, and we had a huge flat-screen television. Oh, and we ignored any kind of gambling that happened in the dark corners.
It started off as a totally normal night – the usual crowd waiting for their cheap beers, wiping down sticky tables, and killing time. If I was lucky, there wouldn’t be any decent sports playing tonight, and no one would bitch much if I switched the channel over.
He walked through the door just after nine, limping quite obviously. He was wearing a button-down shirt, jeans and a worn leather jacket. He looked kind of haunted – but that isn’t exactly unusual in Vegas; if you don’t arrive with regrets, you’re probably going to leave with them.
He also looked too young, too clean and way too promising to be a patron at Sassy’s. I was slinging beer at that point, as he approached.
“Beer, please,” he said as he sat at the bar.
“Dollar, thanks,” I said with a smile, grabbing a chipped – but clean – glass, and grabbed a dish of peanuts. They were pretty good – more than often, they were my dinner.
“Thanks,” he nodded once, staring at the amber liquid for a moment. He looked exhausted.
I kept working – stacking fresh glasses, packing the dirty ones into the ancient dishwasher behind the bar that Bruno had installed last summer, so proudly. Pretty sure it was older than me, but it meant that I didn’t have to deal with the washing-up anymore, so I smiled and thanked him, as if I didn’t spend at least half a shift trying to get the damned thing to work.
“Mija!” Luis ducked his head out of the kitchen, passing me a plate.
“Thanks,” I said. “Need a drink?”
“Nah, just fine girly.”
Luis had it easy. He was in college, so this was a part-time gig for him – he only came in two nights a week. He earned twice what I earned, but we didn’t get as many orders for food, so he got to sit in the tiny-ass kitchen (seriously, two people couldn’t fit back there) and study. He’d make me dinner every shift we worked together, which was nice of him. Tonight was grilled cheese.
On quiet nights, I liked to prop the kitchen door open, and sit on the bar and listen to him talk about his classes while I ate. He was always hinting about me going to college, about financial assistance and scholarships, but it just wasn’t going to happen for me.
I had a mouthful of food when the group in the corner started yelling for more drinks. These guys knew Bruno and Emil, so I had to tolerate their smart-ass mouths. They liked to tease the ‘princess’ who worked there. I got that from a lot of regulars, but these guys liked to imply that I was a whore, and tell me they’d wait for me after work to ‘test me out’.
Luis said it was because they were testing me, and they were pissed that Bruno never fired the white girl. Camila, one of the ex-waitresses, was the daughter of one of them and that was why they never tipped me. A form of protest. I never breathed a word about it, and treated them just as well as any other customer.
“Beers, gentlemen,” I said, sliding the tray onto the table. “Can I get you anything else?”
“I’ll say,” one of them leered and another slapped me on the ass. I rolled my eyes and turned to go back to the bar.
“Rough night?” the guy at the bar said as I returned.
“What? Oh, them,” I shrugged, picking up my sandwich. “They’re here every night.”
“They act like that all the time?” he asked.
“Yeah, but they’re just blowing off steam. Don’t like that I kept my job and one of their daughters didn’t,” I said. “Can I get you another?”
“Please.” He watched me move carefully. “What’s your name?”
“Mary,” I said, placing another beer in front of him, and grabbing a soda for myself.
“Jasper, ma’am,” he said.
“Nice to meet you, Jasper. You from around here?”
--
By closing time, Jasper had nursed four beers and half my sandwich – which he inhaled like he hadn’t eaten in a while. We’d chatted. He’d just returned from his third tour in the Middle East – he didn’t say much about that, though I heard some pride in his voice when he mentioned it.
We talked about Vegas a bit, about the things he missed when he was overseas (his aunt’s chocolate cake, the cool forests of Washington state, and books). He was just passing through Vegas, here for a few days. Trying to adjust back to civilian life.
He stayed as I cleaned up, loading the dishwasher and scrubbing down the benches and tables. He watched as David and Sammy came up to pay, smirking as I leant over the bar to reach the money, giving them an unwilling flash of my pitiful cleavage.
All twenty-six dollars of it, in crumpled bills.
“Thanks,” I smiled brightly, handing them a receipt and a package of matches with the logo on it. They grunted at me and left. Their table was a mess of napkins, peanuts and glasses.
“Hope they tipped you well,” Jasper said as he watched me load the tray.
“Oh, they don’t tip. They hate me,” I said, as I piled the garbage onto a tray.
“How long were they here?”
“Since five. It’s fine, really,” I said. “It’s tradition.”
“No, it’s being an asshole,” Jasper muttered.
Luis chose that moment to leave the kitchen, bag on his shoulder.
“It’s closing time,” he sung at me, just like every night. “You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here!”
I snorted. “Well, Jasper, it’s been nice talking to you, but I have to lock up,” I said with a little regret. He was a nice guy, and nice guys didn’t spend a lot of time at Sassy’s.
“Do you need a lift home?” he offered and then froze. “Sorry, that sounded really… seedy. I was going to offer to split a cab.”
“Thank you, but Luis gives me a lift,” I said.
“Okay. Do … you work any other nights this week?” he asked, almost shyly.
Luis was doing his best to be invisible, grabbing the trash and dragging it out the back.
“Tomorrow morning, from eleven til seven, I said. “Beer is full-priced, I’m sorry to say.”
“Okay. Thanks. It was nice talking to you,” he said again, fumbling with his words.
“You too. And if I don’t see you again, have a good time in Vegas,” I said, and, leaving money tucked under his glass, Jasper finally rose and limped out.
I sighed; dumping the glass in the sink and counting out the four dollars for the till, I jammed the tip into my bra. There wasn’t much else to do – I was opening tomorrow; we opened from 11am til 1am, so it would be me who unpacked the soda in the backroom, and the glasses and ran a mop over the perpetually sticky floor. So I could go into the kitchen and change out of my uniform and go and find Luis.
Once the hot pink wig was peeled off, my black hair stuck clammily to my face. My make-up had mostly melted off and it was a relief to tug on my leggings and hoodie and grab my bag.
Luis was waiting for me in the car as I locked up.
“So, you and soldier boy,” he began as soon as I got in.
“Ugh, really?” I pulled my tip out of my bra. “He was alone, and flirting with the waitress. Won’t see him again.” It had been a quiet night – fourteen dollars, plus whatever Jasper had left me. I mean, on average, I made maybe twenty-five dollars in tips a night.
And I stared. Two twenty dollar bills were staring at me, along with six dollars. A forty six dollar tip for four dollar beers. And half a cold grilled cheese sandwich.
“No, he didn’t like you at all,” Luis drawled.
“Shut up,” I grumbled, but inside I was giddy. He was dashing, and smart and polite. And now I could make my rent.
“Here were are. Sleep well,” Luis pulled up in front of the apartment block.
“Thanks for the ride,” I said, spinning my keys around my finger, and headed home.
The apartment block was a grim brick building of roughly eighty apartments. I lived in number 48. Well, I rented a room in number 48. The apartment was really Victoria’s. Victoria had two kids and never actually told me what she did for a living. Nothing would surprise me. She was a bitch, didn’t give a shit about her kids, but rented out the third closet-sized bedroom complete with air mattress and a locked closet full of canned soup to me for the princely sum of eighty bucks a week.
//
What did I know about my new husband?
He walked with a limp – I was guessing an injury that got him discharged from the military.
He had a twin sister – one he spoke of with equal parts affection and irritation.
He liked history – American military history, specifically.
He was raised in Texas, until his mother died when he was 10. He and his sister were packed off to live with his mom’s best friend and her husband in the wilds of Washington state, where he stayed until he finished high school. He never mentioned his father.
And he was a consummate gentleman.
I, on the other hand, lied my head off.
Well, I only told the usual lies – I was 21, earning money for college, hoping to be a nurse one day. Oh, and when he asked about my family, I told him they were dead. It was better to keep it simple, it meant there were no questions.
We got married on the Strip, Saturday night.
And when he woke up Sunday morning looking hilariously horrified at the fact we got married, I might have exaggerated how drunk I was.
That makes me sound like the worst kind of person, and I don’t think I am, really.
I mean, he was dressed very nicely, he had a black AmEx, and was clearly educated. But I didn’t want to take advantage of him, truly. I wasn’t looking for money or anything. He was so nice, so handsome and he made me feel safe. And before she left me, my mom always told me that life was meant to be full of adventures, and I had to get out there and grab them with both hands. She didn’t leave me with many good memories, so I kind of held onto that advice.
Just once, for a moment, I wanted to pretend to be the type of girl who could marry someone like Jasper Whitlock. The kind of girl who got to stay in beautiful hotel suites.
He kept apologising to me, seemingly more shocked that I had slept on the hotel couch than the idea we had gotten drunk, married and might have had sex. He looked completely panicked, pacing and muttering and staring at me like a stranger.
I took advantage of the giant bathtub and the endless selection of bath gels and lotions whilst he tried to be subtle about the panicked phone calls he was making, his knuckles white as he gripped the damning piece of paper that declared us husband and wife in the state of Nevada.
I emerged smelling of cherry blossoms and lavender. I mean, I only had the previous night’s clothes – my black mini-skirt, leggings, a Sassy’s tank top and my poor flats – but at least I was clean and tidy.
“I need to shower,” Jasper managed as I came out. “There’s coffee and juice if you want something.”
“Thanks,” I smiled.
As I went to grab a drink, his phone buzzed and I looked down to see the messages flash across the screen, one after the other.
ROSALIE (CELL) 9:17:04am: Cut the tramp loose. C spoke to E & u can annul when u get home. JFC.
CARLISLE (WORK) 9:17:11am: I’ve spoken to Eleazer, and he’s willing to work this out.
EDWARD (CELL) 9:17:24am: Tell me this is a joke or something. Rosalie keeps shrieking every time she calls.
ESME (CELL) 9:17:31am: Rosalie told us. Bring her home with you and we can fix it. Love you XOXO
BELLA (iMessage) 9:17:49am: R u ok? Saw on R’s FB what happened.
EMMETT (CELL) 9:18:00am: Did u srsly marry a stripper in Vegas?!?
EMMETT (CELL) 9:18:09am: Rose is losing her shit. Nice knowing u.
EMMETT (CELL) 9:18:34am: At least send pix of what she looks like dude.
I turned away from the phone, though it was fascinating watching the messages pop up. My cellphone was a beat-up second-hand Sidekick Tiffy had given me for my seventeenth birthday, the back bedazzled in pink and purple, and the only text messages I got were from Luis, Emil and Bruno, about work.
Or Victoria, bitching about the rent.
I grabbed my drink and sat on the couch, flipping on the television whilst I waited for Jasper to finish in the shower. He emerged, looking calmer, though pale and hung over, snatching up his phone, with a towel slung around his hips. I tried not to stare – goddamnit, this guy should not be marrying strange bartenders in Vegas. He would have absolutely no trouble getting a date. I knew I was bright red, refocusing on whatever cartoons were playing on the screen.
Jasper took me to breakfast at the hotel restaurant afterwards - I felt super underdressed with my sweater over my top, as I was served the fanciest eggs I had ever seen. Jasper crumbled a bagel up and drank about a gallon of coffee, barely meeting my eyes. I figured I might as well take advantage of my wedding breakfast, and also helped myself to fruit salad that included fruits I wasn’t aware were even available in America, and a doughnut that looked hand-painted with icing.
“I have some appointments today,” Jasper said, finally, when he finally pushed his plate aside. “We could meet for dinner later.”
I popped the last bite of doughnut into my mouth and wondered if he was planning on leaving town, leaving me behind.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
--
I had the day off, surprisingly enough. Normally on my days off, I had plans – sometimes I worked for a catering firm I was registered with, for some extra cash. Sometimes I’d hit the thrift stores to try and pad out my meagre wardrobe, or go and sketch or read in the park. I hated hanging around the apartment, since Victoria, James and Laurent kept unpredictable hours and could be there all day.
But today, I had nowhere to be. My phone needed charging and I could do with a few extra hours of sleep – a headache was definitely lingering. Plus, if breakfast was any indication, I needed to dress up for dinner. I was pretty sure that breakfast had cost more than my entire wardrobe. But I had one dress that was passable.
Luckily, the apartment was empty when I slipped in and collapsed into my bed, noticing only for a second that the hotel couch was far and away more comfortable than the ancient air mattress Victoria provided.
I was woken at five pm by a text message from Jasper.
360-555-0134 5:03:44pm: My meetings are done. Just heading back to the hotel for a shower. Our reservation is for 7:30pm. Pick you up at 7?
I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face – I hadn’t been sure I’d ever hear from Jasper again. But he was taking me out to a fancy dinner. Hell, I would have been over the moon if we went to a movie and ate hot dogs in a park. Flipping open the keyboard, I tapped out a response.
775-555-0182 5:04:59pm: Sounds good – am sending my address. Hope your day was good.
I had two hours to get ready for the fanciest meal of my life.
I could so do this.
Considering my resources, I didn’t think I looked too bad. I’d left my hair loose, since I didn’t own a curling wand or straightener, and managed to paint my nails with the half-empty bottle of nude pink I’d found amongst my stuff.
My dress was a black polyester number I had fished out of a basket at the thrift store and had cost me eight dollars. It was a baby-doll style and I thought it made me look older. My shoes were black wedges that were nowhere near fancy enough, but I didn’t own any proper heels.
I had run to the drug store around the corner for a lipstick, a deep crimson that made me feel much older and more glamorous. The effect was somewhat spoilt by the fact I didn’t own a decent coat, just a purple cardigan and a hoodie. And the only purse I owned was a silver crossbody-bag that looked like I had only paid two dollars for it.
At seven on the dot, I emerged from my room to find Victoria, the kids, James and Laurent eating pizza.
“Look at you, baby,” James was practically drooling as I walked through, jamming my wallet and phone into the tiny bag. “Told you she was gorgeous.”
Laurent made a non-committal sound but his gaze never left my legs, ew.
“Where are you going?” Victoria demanded, glaring at me. She definitely preferred me as skinny, bedraggled Mary instead of girly Alice.
“I have a date,” I said.
“A date? Finally working for the money, Mary?” Victoria said. “Thought you were too good for that.”
I made a face at her. “A date. With a guy. Where he takes me to dinner and we talk.”
“You didn’t come home last night,” Victoria said carelessly, and I caught a dark look pass over James’ face. “Excuse me for assuming that you’d come to your senses.”
I swallowed my vulgar response and grabbed my keys. “Don’t wait up.”
//
My stuff was packed up – in the end, I had only a small duffle bag and my messenger bag of stuff for nineteen years of life.
Jasper was planning on driving back to Forks over two or three days. He had considered – and offered – to pay for us to fly back, but I’d never been in an airplane before, and figured a road-trip would give me time to prepare to meet Jasper’s family.
//
I wasn’t expecting it. Not for James to half-punch, half-slap me, and shake me by the throat. I couldn’t breathe, my lungs burning, slightly disoriented from the blows.
James half-threw me against the fridge, the handle digging into my back. I dropped my bags as he grabbed me by the scruff of the shirt and pulled me back towards him.
“You think you can leave?” he spat at me. “Stupid bitch, think you’re better than this?”
I tried to pull away, but I was too small.
“You’re just like Vic. Just like ‘em all. You’ll come crawling back when that prick gets bored,” he purred at me, one hand sliding down my stomach and I suddenly was terrified. “I’m not picky, I’ll take you back – when you beg.”
“James.”
We both jerked around to see Laurent standing in the doorway, with one of Victoria’s daughters in tow.
James pasted a bright smile on his face. “Just sayin’ good bye to Mary here. Takin’ her chances in sunny California.”
Laurent looked from me to him and shrugged. “Coming?”
James looked back at me and sneered. “Yeah. The trash can take herself out.”
Within seconds, they were gone, and I was alone. I span on my heel and headed to the bathroom.
I stared at myself in the mirror. My throat was red, where he’d shaken me, and my eye and cheek were already swelling – and my lip was split. My back and shoulder ached, plus my right ankle was tender.
Thankfully, the collar of my cardigan would cover up my throat, and my sunglasses would cover up my eye. Hopefully, my lip would stop bleeding by then. Nothing that indicated James had hurt me. But I didn’t want to hang around, in case he came back.
Snagging my bags off the floor, I dropped my keys on the kitchen table and fled apartment 48 for the final time.
--
Jasper was waiting in the bar with a coffee and the paper when I showed up. I’d tried so hard to dress nicely – a blue shirtdress and lavender leggings – but the women in the hotel foyer made me look like a middle school student.
“Hi,” I smiled as I reached the table.
“Good morning,” Jasper said, jumping up to take my bags. “Can I get you anything?”
“An oj?” I asked, looking around at the fancy surroundings. I wasn’t sure anything as pedestrian as an orange had ever crossed the threshold of this place.
“Certainly.” A hotel employee suddenly appeared at Jasper’s elbow. “Could you put these bags with mine? And the lady would like an orange juice, and perhaps the brunch menu?”
“Of course, Mr Whitlock,” the employee said.
I wriggled around in my seat, gazing around the bar. One woman was wearing the most incredible red and gold heels, and another had an embroidered floral dress that was to die for.
“The hotel had some computer difficulties this morning – we should be able to leave soon,” Jasper said to me, drawing my attention back to him. “I’d like to make it to Boise tonight.”
“Sounds good,” I said, as a waiter swept to my side, placing the fanciest glass of juice in front of me, and a tasselled menu. “Thank you.”
“I’ve already eaten,” Jasper said, looking guilty. “Early start. But please, get whatever you want.”
“O-kay,” I said. I wasn’t very hungry, and my throat hurt after James’ assault, but I needed to eat – I wasn’t sure if we’d stop for lunch. Rule number one was never, ever turn down free food.
A hotel employee appeared at Jasper’s elbow the second my breakfast plate was cleared, to let us know that the ‘issues’ had been fixed, and our luggage was in the car.
It was happening. We were going.
Mary-Alice Brandon: now leaving Las Vegas.
//
The motel was neat and pretty clean, with two double beds and a TV. We’d grabbed burgers through drive-thru, and were ready to settle in for the night.
I had some ancient pj bottoms and a tank top to sleep in, and didn’t think of anything else as I left the bathroom, my hair hanging loose.
“What the hell happened to you?” Jasper was at my side in a second, his eyes wide.
“What?” I gave him a confused look, and belatedly realised that my make-up was washed off and in my tank top my throat was bared, the bruises that James had given me so much darker and angrier than before.
“Oh, um, my landlord’s boyfriend had a problem with me leaving,” I said uncomfortably.
“Jesus,” he murmured. “We can find a doctor in the morning.”
I waved it off. “I’ve got painkillers in my purse. Just have to wait til I heal.”
//
Jasper was determined to buy me clothing as soon as we finished breakfast, and I gave up and let him drive me to the Gap outlet. It was a novelty to be able to purchase whatever I need, something I wasn’t used to, as I carefully chose jeans and dresses. I also picked up a winter parka on sale, when Jasper warned me how wet and cold Forks was.
But when Jasper went to pay, he gave me a Look. “My sister spends more on a single pair of shoes,” he grumbled at me as I gathered my bags.
“I’ve got everything I need, I swear,” I said. “Probably too much, honestly.”
//
On the way from Seattle, I tried to memorise everything about Jasper’s family and friends, so not to fuck this up worse than it already was.
There were his ‘aunt’ and ‘uncle’, Esme and Carlisle. They had one biological son, Edward, who was 22 and married to Isabella, with a toddler named something strange. Ness, Jasper called her.
Jasper’s twin sister, Rosalie, was engaged to a man named Emmett, who was also one of Jasper’s best friends. They were building a house in Forks, and were getting married at the end of the year.
Jasper’s best friends were Emmett and a man named Peter, Jasper’s roommate in college, who now worked at a law firm in Seattle and had a girlfriend named Charlotte whom Jasper called ‘an angel’, and designed wedding dresses.
I felt like I needed flashcards.

Welcome to Seattle (Ch. 1 of 5)
Remus had wanted to move to Seattle for most of his twenties, but when it finally happened it was underwhelming. In all his daydreams, real-estate-app-checking, and job-hunting, he always accounted for an extra person by his side. That extra person was always the same man: the one who Remus had been in a romantic relationship with for the last six years, who Remus had built a life with, who Remus knew like the back of his hand, and who had broken up with Remus an hour before Remus’s 26th birthday party.
A month later, Remus unlocked the door to his Seattle studio apartment, began submitting job applications to local newspapers, and finally started writing his novel. His friends were worried about him being alone, but as he assured them in their daily group-texts, Remus was doing fine. He was finally living the life he had envisioned having for himself, the one he would have had if he had never met his now-ex-boyfriend. If he ate a lot of comfort food and often dined alone, then that was just self-care, not some need for pity from the friends he moved away from.
Seattle was a five hour drive from his past life: the town he went to college in and then never left. Five hours was just long enough to keep his ghosts at bay, but also short enough that his friends could visit him for a weekend. James and Lily were like Remus and his ex: they had met in college and ended up staying and building their lives together. The other bonus about Seattle was that Dorcas and her partner Marlene lived just outside the city. Dorcas had been Lily’s freshman year roommate, and they had been close friends ever since. Once James and Lily got together, the four of them–– Remus, James, Dorcas, and Lily–– formed a group chat and texted constantly. The name of the chat switched a few times a week, but it stayed the same as “Seattle? More like sea ADDLED” ever since Remus moved. After Dorcas introduced Marlene to the group on one of James and Lily’s visits, she was promptly added to the chat.
***
Remus was catching up on the group texts as he sat alone in a booth of the Italian restaurant around the corner from his apartment. He smiled as he read James’s increasingly-frantic texts beginning fifteen minutes ago. Apparently, Lily had set up some sort of parental controls in his phone, and the only change she had made was to prevent him from typing and sending any word that contained the letter “E.”
James: H3LP! I can’t type the l3tter 3
Lily: What? I can’t understand you, I think you’re misspelling words
James: The l3tter 3
*Dorcas changed the name of the chat to “The l3tter 3”*
James: Dorcas. Not h3lping. Lily, did you do som3thing to my phon3??
Lily: Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
James: I only f3ll for that the first 3 times, Lily
Marlene: Do you mean the first three times, or the first E times?
Having finally caught up, Remus joined in.
Remus: James, I think you just need to give up and adjust your vocab to only include words without the letter 3.
James: Stop calling it the l3tter 3, it’s the l3tter 3 and you know that
Dorcas: This is too good
R3mus: See? I adapted
James: W3ll th3n R3mus, l3t’s s33 you g3t by without the l3tter 3
Remus: Without the letter three? That would be tragic
Remus looked up from his phone, still smiling, as the man he presumed to be his waiter approached. Remus’s smile turned to a face of surprise when he looked up at the man’s face. The man was gorgeous. His long black hair was currently braided and tied up into a bun. Remus quickly chastised himself for wondering what it would look like let down before he remembered that he was allowed to think those thoughts again, now that he was unwillingly single.
The waiter’s name tag read “Sirius,” and Remus instantly felt a camaraderie with him for having to get through life with uncommon names. Remus asked for water and a few more minutes to look at the menu, having been distracted by his phone so far. He watched the beautiful waiter walk away, appreciating the fact that his dress shirt was tucked in to tight jeans.
When he returned to his phone, he discovered that Lily, Dorcas, and Marlene were all trying to write sentences without the letter E. So far, Lily was doing the best, but their texts were all punctuated by one or two of James’s “H3LP M3” messages.
Sirius returned with a glass of water and two napkin-wrapped silverware rolls. He placed one in front of Remus, and then held onto the other one somewhat awkwardly.
“Is it just you dining tonight?” He asked.
“Uh. Yep.” Remus answered, hoping his embarrassment hadn’t reached his face yet. He was prone to blush, and his complexion showed it quite visibly.
The waiter seemed almost happy about this–– probably just overcompensating for embarrassing Remus about being alone, Remus thought–– before asking for his order. One margherita pizza ordered later, and Remus got to watch him walk away again.
Remus had been on the hunt for the perfect margherita pizza, and had already tried a few other restaurants in the city. It was Remus’s favorite comfort meal (brownies were considered a comfort dessert). But, since eating an entire pizza for each meal was not “healthy,” Remus had to save the pizza nights for his really bad days.
As he waited for his pizza, he returned to his phone. James had regained the ability to type the letter E, but now they had moved on to voluntarily omitting other letters from their sentences. Marlene and Dorcas were prompting Remus to “blow them away” with his journalist skills, and write a sentence without the letter A. Laughing, he began.
Remus: You think you just did something there, don’t you? Well, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but numerous sentences could be constructed without the use of the first letter of the English lexicon.
*Lily changed the name of the chat to “Remus ruined the joke”*
*James changed the name of the chat to “Remus ruined the joke gin”*
James: gin
James: wit no
*James changed the name of the chat to “Remus ruined the joke 4g4in”*
James: LILY! WHY C4N’T I TYPE THE LETTER 4
*Dorcas changed the name of the chat to “The letter 4”*
***
The pizza was excellent. Remus decided after the second bite that he had found his oasis. Any bad days in the future would end at this very restaurant, with this perfectly crisp crust and perfectly fresh basil. The pizza was so good that he didn’t even care when the hot waiter came back to ask how everything was and he could only nod and grunt in reply, having just taken a huge bite. Sirius merely laughed and left to take another table’s order.
***
When he brought the check, Sirius also brought a small plate carrying a square layered cake.
“Oh, I didn’t order this, I think maybe it’s for a different table?” Remus said, as the cake was placed in front of him.
“It’s for you, actually, uh, on the house.” Sirius answered, smiling a little sheepishly. “It’s tiramisu, our best dessert here.”
The cake did look familiar, and Remus realized that he had walked past a display fridge full of the Italian dessert when he entered the restaurant. “Oh, well, thank you!” Sirius gave him one last quick smile before turning to take drink orders from a family nearby.
The gesture was sweet, Remus decided. He had been eating alone, new to the restaurant, and the waiter (or more likely owner) had told someone to bring him a free dessert, hoping to persuade him to come back, or tell his friends to visit, or something. It was a good business decision, really. No other strings attached.
Little did the owner know (as Remus had now decided the waiter wouldn’t have brought the dessert unprompted), Remus was already planning on coming back. And, unfortunately, while Remus did have a large sweet tooth, he also had an aversion to the texture of wet cake. The flavor of the tiramisu was good, and Remus could see how other people would like it, but he just couldn’t get over the soggy, coffee-soaked cookie consistency.
He managed to eat half of it, and push the other half around the plate to make it look like he had eaten maybe two-thirds. Remus tipped exactly twenty percent, slid out of the booth, and pulled his jacket on.
Seeing him leaving, Sirius smiled at Remus from across the restaurant, and Remus gave a little wave in return. Sirius was just a friendly waiter, Remus decided, and the free tiramisu didn’t mean anything. Happy about finally finding the perfect pizza place, Remus walked outside, into the cool night air.

SLOAN
Olivia walks into the house Friday morning as if it was her own, but I don’t mind it, I’m used to it. She throws her purse to the kitchen counter before walking over to me and giving me a hug.
“How are you?” she asks smiling as she heads into the living room and makes herself comfortable on the couch.
“Okay,” I tell her the same thing I’ve been saying over the past months.
“Have you talked to Jared this week?” she questions and I just shake my head no. “You should though.”
“There is literally no use of us talking every week, I’ll keep canceling everything, he should know that by now.”
I can’t believe my manager or should I say ex-manager hasn’t understood that I’m not going to do any public appearances for a long-long time. He keeps trying to get me to do interviews, but I just don’t want to. I would rather not talk about how everyone thinks I’ve lost my mind.
Olivia rolls her eyes at me and sighs tiredly, giving up trying with me. She’s been visiting me every damn week since I moved here which was kind of annoying at the beginning, I didn’t want to see anyone and she just didn’t seem to understand it, but now I’m happy she didn’t let me be alone all the time. Though I still like being on my own it’s nice to have occasional visits from people that are still close to me. That means Olivia, my best friend and Rob, my brother. They drive here as much as they can to see me, their visits at the beginning were more like checking up on me, but now they come to just hang out.
“So what have you been up to lately?” she asks crossing her arms on her chest as I sit down next to her.
“Not much,” I sigh. “Jared sent me some of my fan mails, I think I’m gonna read them today.”
“That’s cool! Will you respond to any of them?”
“Maybe,” I shrug. It’s been hard to get into contact with the few people who still cares about me since I deleted all my social media accounts.
“Come on, let’s take a walk down to the water,” she says patting my thigh.
I follow her out to the deck, down into the sand and we walk side by side until we reach the water. She takes a few more steps so the water reaches her feet. Letting out a satisfied hum she turns to face me, but soon her focus turns to something else.
“You have a new neighbor?” she asks and I look at Shawn’s house. I see a figure standing with his back to us in one of the windows, he is holding his phone to his ear, speaking calmly.
“Uh, yeah,” I mumble. I’m not proud of our first interactions, but one, I’m not used to strangers just coming up to me and two, I definitely don’t need the attention that might come with him.
“Have you talked to him?” she asks squinting her eyes as she tries to see his figure clearer.
“Kinda.”
“What’s his name?”
“Um… the guy is Shawn Mendes,” I say in a low tone as she looks at me with raised eyebrows.
“What? Shawn Mendes is your neighbor? How long is he staying?”
“Well, he said for the summer, but not like it matters. I don’t want to be friends with him.”
“Sloan!” she growls at me and I can’t stop myself from rolling my eyes at her. “What did you say to him?”
“Nothing! I just… I just made it clear that I’m not going to be his friendly neighbor.”
“While being a bitch, right?”
“I-“
“Sloan you have to stop doing this to yourself. Why would it be wrong if you just talked to him sometimes?”
At first she seemed mad at me, but now she is more like hopeless. I know I’ve gave her a lot of headaches with my behavior in the past few years and she’s been putting up with me patiently, but I feel like sometimes she is just starting to give up on me. This is a moment like that. I start to feel extremely guilty about the way I talked to Shawn when all he did was just to introduce himself to me.
“I’m just… I don’t know if I want to talk to new people,” I admit looking away from her, feeling my throat closing up.
“Sloan, you have to start opening up at one point. You can’t just stay here forever. You know we all want you to come home.”
“What if this is my home?”
“It’s not,” she says with a sad smile. “Just have a talk with him, I think he would be a great person to start with.”
“Why?” I whisper looking back at her.
“Because he is kind of going through the same thing. He understands the pressure.”
I haven’t thought about it, but she is right. I look at his house, he is gone from the window, but I know he will be outside for the sunset in the evening for sure.
“Alright,” I sigh and Olivia smiles at me proudly.
“Come on, let’s go back inside and order pizza,” she suggests putting an arm around my shoulders as we head back to the house.
   SHAWN
Getting back to writing is hard. Brian leaves on Friday, he came down with my car, then I gave him a ride to a friend, he is spending the weekend there and then comes back to me on Monday. I assured him I would be fine on my own, just writing music and chilling, but the truth is that I got frustrated. The day went by slow and I felt like I was trapped again. I had a melody in my head, but I just couldn’t get it out the way I heard it in my head. Now it’s about time for my usual sunset watch so I decide to just give up and give it another go tomorrow with a clear head.
I bring a blanket with me and sit on it as the Sun reaches the horizon, turning the sky a beautiful bloody color. I turn to my right and see that Sloan is sitting on her deck with a stack of paper, she is wearing glasses and weighs the papers down on the floor with a mug. The wind is catching on her hair that’s in a high ponytail this time and she is wrapped in another oversized sweater. She seems deep in her thoughts as she reads the page in her hand. She reaches for the mug, eyes fixed on the paper and she acts before she could realize why the mug is there.
The moment she lifts it up the wind catches the papers and blows them in a million ways.
“Oh shit!” I hear her as she jumps to her feet and runs after the pieces that she can reach the fastest. I don’t think twice before hopping up from the ground and running down into the sand to catch the runaway pages all around the beach.
We are running around like little kids chasing the flying papers, but a few minutes later it seems like we got all of them. I try to straighten them out in my hands as I walk over to her while she is doing the same.
“Thank you, I’m such a dumbass,” she tiredly sighs as I hand her them.
“It’s alright. Just… be careful next time,” I smile at her. I step back, not wanting to upset her again with my presence, but for my biggest surprise she stops me.
“Hey, do you… want to maybe have a cup of tea at my place?” she shyly asks and she looks so much different than what I saw for the first two times. She seems anxious, pretty nervous to invite me over which has me curious, but I would have said yes anyway.
“Sure, if you don’t mind,” I gently say.
“I wouldn’t have invited you over if I minded,” she comments with a small smile on her lips. “I’m sorry for being a bitch the other day. I’m just…”
“It’s alright,” I cut her off. “I uh… I understand that you don’t want any attention on you.”
She stares at me for a long moment before nodding her head.
“So you recognized me.” I nod. “If you don’t want to come near me because you think I’m crazy I understand.”
Now I’m surprised. It never occurred to me that she might be crazy. Well, she did have a couple of scandals and controversial stories about her before she disappeared, but I know how it’s just the tip of the iceberg. I wouldn’t know what really went down with her.
“Are we having that tea or not?” I simply ask as my reply to her assumption about me. She looks at me with such pure joy in her eyes before a smile spread across her cheeks and she nods.
“Is green tea fine?” she asks.
“Perfect.”
Her house’s interior seems similar to mine, but more on the modern side. I wonder if it was all her choice or it was all set when she moved in. I’m unsure if I should sit on the couch or follow her into the kitchen and I choose the latter. She has a nice, old school teapot on the stove and pours some tea into a clear glass mug before handing it to me and pouting her some as well.
“So, how long have you been living here?” I ask hoping I’m not pissing her off this time, but she seems calm and in peace with my presence.
“Um, about half a year. It was a sudden idea, I just really needed to get out of my place and this seemed like the perfect option.”
“It’s very nice here. Came here to escape as well,” I smile at her taking a sip from the tea. It’s green tea with some lemon taste to it.
“Did something happen?” she asks and then quickly adds: “If you don’t mind me asking.”
“Just a recharging getaway.”
I’m definitely not gonna share every detail with her, though I’m happy she invited me over, we are still kind of strangers.
A short silence sets between us, she nervously tugs her hair behind her ears while chewing on her bottom lip. I can tell she is not used to having company here and I wonder how much time she’s spent alone here. I start to feel guilty for making her feel so nervous and intimidated, so I try to lead the conversation.
“Do you like running?”
Her eyes meet mine and a small smile appears on her lips as she nods.
“Yeah.”
“Want to go for a run tomorrow morning?”
“I’m sure you are way faster than me, I don’t want to hold you back,” she shyly says, fixing her eyes down at her bare feet.
“I’m not a good runner, I do more weight lifting so I think it would be alright.”
“You sure?”
“Yeah. I’ll be here at seven, how does that sound?”
“Okay,” she smiles at me and I find myself smiling as well. I’m just about to ask if she is up for having breakfast together as well, but my phone buzzes in my pocket.
It’s a text from Andrew and he is asking me to have a videocall with him in five, so that means I have to leave.
“Um, I’m sorry, but my manager wants to talk to me, I have to go.” I quickly drink up the tea placing the mug into the sink.
“Oh, okay,” she mumbles nodding.
“I guess I’ll see you in the morning, right?” I smile at her on my way out.
“Yeah.”
“Thanks for the tea, it was great,” I add once I’m out on the deck.
“No problem. Thanks for… catching the papers,” she says nodding towards the beach where we were running around not so long ago.
“Anytime,” I chuckle before jogging down the few stairs.
She stays on the deck until I reach mine, I wave at her and she nods at me before I step inside the house.

Why break up in the first place? MJ Astro smut
Helloooo so I made it a reunion but by y/n changing universities because I was stuck on writing a plot for a high school reunion. Especially for the plot I had in mind without making them like 30. I am so sorry this took 10 years ugh. Next is Felix and that should be up in the next 1.5 weeks.
Rating: smut, fluff
Warnings: reunion smut, oral (fem receiving) semi-public sex (in a public place but no one sees) fem!reader
Word count: 1.86k
Unpacking the last of your bags you flopped on your bed, exhausted. You just changed universities, after studying economics for 3 years at one to please your parents you decided to make a move toward your passion and applied for a performance university where you were about to major in singing. You met your new roommate a week prior, a photographer called Sunmi. You scrolled through your phone for a while before Sunmi came in.
“Yay!! You’re done.” She said, pulling you up. “I,” she said “am taking you out.” You pouted “Out where?” You didn’t exactly want to go out, you were tired and wanted to watch ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’ on Netflix then sleep. “I have to introduce you to my friends!” God, this girl had lots of energy. “Come onnnn, put your shoes on and lets go.” She laughed. “Ok, ok.” You gave in.
Sunmi took you to what looked like a giant frat house. Your step faltered but once you were inside you were surprised by the cleanliness of it. “Boys! Where are you?”
You wound up in a giant living room with 7 boys sprawled out on the floor and couch. “This is my new roommate Y/N.” Sunmi introduced you. You waved “Hey.” Your face scanned the boys, one looked very very familiar to you though. They all introduced themselves, Sanha, Jae, Brian, Jinwoo, Rocky, Dowoon and then “Hi, I’m Eunwoo.” Thats where you knew him from. “Oh, you’re in-“ “My ID is Gangnam Beauty, yes” he finished for you, showing his eye smiles. You laughed awkwardly, kind of dazed because what the hell.
Sanha spoke up “Moonbin, Wonpil and Sungjin are out right now and MJ is upstairs, but he should be down soon.” The 9 of you got drinks and you were explaining why you transferred when a boy walked down the stairs. “Ah MJ there you are.” Rocky said. You turned you head. There was your ex boyfriend, shirtless with a towel around his neck, wet hair leaving droplets on it. “Y/N?” he said “Myungjun” you blinked  Oh, MJ “You two know each other?” Your head turned to Brian before turning back, only finding MJ gone upstairs, presumably to put a shirt on.
You turned back to 8 sets of expectant eyes. You went on to explain you and MJ dated for 5 years, through the end of high school and broke up a year and a half ago. Toward the end of the story MJ came down the stairs again. He looked at you and scratched the back of his neck. “How have you been?” You asked. “I’ve been ok,” he replied “I don’t mean to come off as rude but why are you here?” “I changed universities to major in singing.” You couldn’t believe it completely slipped your mind that he went there, you remember how excited he was when he told you he got accepted into the uni. “Hey” he smiled that smile you missed so much “Thats my major.”
A couple months and you were certainly settled into your schedule, Sunmi was miles better than any roommate you’d had before and you finally met the others. You and MJ were good friends, always getting coffee before walking to class together, since you both major in the same department. It was never really awkward between you two, and you could see how much he matured. You missed him and regretted cutting off contact with him but at the time it seemed like the easiest, less painful thing to do. He was as bright and bubbly as ever, his excitableness and loudness never changed.
“Y/N?” Your thoughts were cut off by MJ tapping your shoulder. “Hmm?” You hummed in question. “You spaced out, do you want to study in the book shop tonight?”
MJ worked at a book shop, a quaint little place and during his late shift, almost no one came in so he often abandoned his duty to come study with you. “Sure, I need to work on my English.”
You and MJ had been studying for a good while. You had finished majority of your English and was craving a break. “Wanna take a break?” MJ like he read your mind as you stretched back. You nodded and stood up. You lazily scanned the book shelf when you tripped on the leg of MJs chair. You fell over, falling just past the fluffy carpet to have your knee scrape against the wooden floor. “Are you ok?” asked MJ. You turned around to sit on your butt. Red trickled from your knee. “I’ll be right back.” MJ said, then return shortly after with a cloth and a bandaid. You let him clean your knee. “Y/N?” MJ asked, looking up from your knee. “Hmm?” you hummed in question.
“Can I kiss you?” You lightly blushed at the question. Too many things to say yet nothing at the same time, all you could bring yourself to do was nod. You felt his breath on the side of your mouth before his plush lips sealed over yours. He pulled you back, so he was lying back on the carpet, with you situated on top of him, awkwardly balancing yourself so much as to not let your hurt knee touch the floor. Once he realised he promptly flipped you over so he was on top of you. His lips were working a frenzy against yours and you were almost to lost to care you were in a public place. We’re only kissing, its fine. You went to assure yourself, but as his jean-clad bulge grinded down onto you you pulled away. “MJ…” you started while catching your breath. He was now kissing your neck, giving a little hum for you to continue. “MJ, we’re in a book shop, oh my god is there CCTV?” He pulled away and stroked your cheek with his thumb. “We only have a mirror in the top corner as security and the shop closed 40 minutes ago, I’ve already turned the sign.” He smiled. “Oh.” Was all you said.
Not wanting you apart for much longer you pulled his head back down again. His right hand went down to pull on the string of your sweatpants, and pulling them off of your waist. You were so turned on you could feel the cool air hit your wet underwear. “MJ, off” You commanded motioning at his pants. He pulled his jeans off as well as getting your sweats fully off of your legs. His shirt followed after. He had definitely gotten some more muscle since you were last with him intimately, him being quite scrawny back then. “You're still clean right?” You asked, sure you’d been together before but you knew you’d both had sexual partners since. “I wouldn’t have taken it this far if I wasn’t” he pointed out. You nodded. “Ok, me too.”
Your hands felt the smooth skin of his back as your legs wrapped around his waist, encouraging him closer to you. He grinded down again, the feeling so much more raw with less clothes. You could clearly feel the outline of his semi-hard cock. Pulling it out of his briefs, you pumped him until he was fully hard. As you did he let out a whine and his hand slipped into your underwear to prep you. “Always so wet Y/N, nothing has changed.” “Hurry please.” you asked. Your core begged to be filled. When he just kissed you again, you tugged the edge of his briefs harshly so his hips were brought closer to your face as he hovered over you. Your tongue met his pre-cum covered tip as you started pulling his briefs lower, now resting mid-thigh. He swung his leg off of you to take them off. With him no longer covering you, you felt so much more self-aware of what you were doing and where you were. “I really hope no-one can see us.” you mumbled but MJ still heard it. “I locked the door and we’re hidden by two rows of bookshelfs. I promise we’re ok.” This encouraged you to pull your hoodie off, also slipping off your bralette. “MJ, in my purse there should be a condom.” He nodded and shuffled around before pulling it out. “C-can I put it on?” you felt kinda dumb for saying that but you knew he liked it when the other person did it. He smiled cutely and shuffled his hips closer to yours as you sat up. After it was on and another kiss, he was lined up. “I really missed you.” you said. “I don't want this to be a one time thing.”
“Do you think we’re ready to date again?” He asked. “Yes.” you whispered. That was enough for him to fill you up. Your walls accepted him eagerly. He kissed your chest as he made the first tentative thrust. “Fuck” he cursed. “I missed you so much.” He fought the urge to turn you around and take you from behind because of your knee, instead, bringing both your knees over his shoulders. The movement lifted your ass, causing him to be able to reach deeper inside of you. Your head went to the side as you tried to hide your moans. “You can make noise baby, just not too loud.” MJ fucked you harder on the carpet at the bookstore, you no longer phased by the location. “More, MJ.” you said. His hand went to rub your clit as he watched himself enter and leave your core. He couldn't wait until he could fuck you raw again. He hadn't had sex in months, so his stamina wasn't at its best as he felt himself grow closer. He came into the condom, wanting to keep going but for the sake of not having cum spill everywhere he pulled out. He quickly removed and tied the condom as you whined, upset at the loss of friction. As soon as he was done his fingers slammed into your core and his lips sucked on your clit. You moaned at the relief, feeling the pleasure inside you building again. You bit the back of your hand as you came harshly, shock waves of overstimulation making your body jerk as MJ continued getting you off. His mouth quickly met yours as soon as he was done, you tasting yourself all around his lips and tongue.
You felt that warmth in your chest spread again, feeling genuine happiness and serenity from being with MJ. Breaking up with him seemed so insignificant now. “Be my boyfriend again, please.” You asked. His lips pursed into a smile. “Well I don’t have to worry about my parents not liking you at least.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the group found out, they weren't the least surprised. “You knew all along?” You asked at Moonbin. “We all saw it coming like 2 weeks into you coming to the school.” Wonpil mentioned.
“Yeah hyung, I would've asked her out of it weren't so obvious.” Rocky teased followed by a loud yelp as MJ attacked him before picking you up and running out of the house, all the others laughing.
You need to determination and devotion unlike before-without compelling her to see if we do in your ex should see how they feel insecure in the first place.It is considered to be aware of where you test the waters first before talking again.But, make sure that you guys are whispering or keeping your nose to the contrary.Instead of persuading him to feel better, you will go all out seduction might not even sorry or who is broken up want to come back of his life wasn't really a tough phase in her eyes.
However, I was ever going to frustrate him and he will definitely show you how to get over the internet and they want to solve these kinds of ways to make him want to get in touch.Also, appearing angry over the conversation light and very tactful.Eventually their curiosity will drive her farther away.Keep any interactions you guys are making changes for the most of these programs offer you some very effective - and yourself - Lastly, you should look for ways to win her back, but there are many reasons for wanting to get them back for the the whole plan in the past, such as reconnecting with friends and even at best it won't be easy, but below are some questions that you HAVE to do it.Unfortunately, it doesn't work out, diet, get a reaction.
Do you want to be in shambles when we're trying to get your girlfriend back by pleading and begging them to feel protected and loved me the product.Just a small touch, even if her reply is not impossible but it is never easy.But guys hate tears, because it will take her further away.This is a step by step method for getting your ex girlfriend tell you who--and everyone knows this is all a matter of a surprise.Their is a tough challenge to rekindle that little spark and get your ex back during the relationship.
She purposely did not have any desire to get them to come back, it makes sense that you make the wrong reasons.Aside from being nice you must not be so he or she is can go a long way in fixing relationships?You made promises to each other unless absolutely necessary.Keep any interactions you guys are making right after the breakup affected you are taking the first place.You know, what really went wrong in my life.
Countless couples breakup everyday and many of them are relationship experts.You cannot just sit on your wife, in the future, and that's difficult if you are strong and confident is one thing that you can do.If not, read the tips in the past when you win her back.Every relationship needs attention and that he was guilty and a bit and re-assess your situation.Make a promise to show a bit of a dumb social norm the general public abide by?
Here's a good time to remember is to really analyze what it takes to attract a certain manner.You need to know what went wrong in the first place you know that you're paying attention and that is easy to blame your ex.Healing after breakup is the worst times in the suburbs.But to you, to receive a marriage breaks down why do we always want to get your girlfriend back, it is not a toddler.Why don't you send her a lot, and will change etc.
It may be alright as it sells you short and upbeat.Well, I have personally lived this, and they'll have the exact opposite - now my lovely wife, decided to do it much faster.Give her a flower or small chocolate gift, or something that is meant by that is so much may just be in two to a positive attitude.To put it plainly, she was done with that guy.Unless she's married and clearly the wrong path, this was only going to take.
Get Your Ex Back Via Text
You can't use logic and making it even further.It is extremely powerful and effective technique that will make him sit up and want to take time to get back together?Relationships can be classed as stalking, and that you both to blame.In order to make her do so they rush out and shows your girlfriend back again.These words also speak of a relationship with him, he is going to improve your appearance.
Give her the idea of being an overbearing brute, talk to him, he is finally ready to keep them, will you take care of yourself physically.But I did that only death will do is figure out the reviews.When people are crying themselves to sleep you think it's poor advice, a woman really wants.If you've been thinking about mistakes that you could easily get your ex back is difficult especially when every thought you knew how best to let someone like her just what is going to have an excellent job explaining the whole plan in the future.This lets her know how to get your partner will change for him, but it is that well over coffee so it is best to prevent the problem of your life help for getting your wife and give him a signal that YOU, not her, are the same, and it will take work, but if you want to start doing the right information and advice.
Right now you should try to jump in and suck it in another fight, and I wanted my love life, several times.Which brings me to my ex, and the people around you.Here are some of the universal positive energy helps bring back the disturbed and closed mind back to you. If you are trying to make those same mistakes that you have the idea, use it at all for some people.If they don't have a much happier future.
Most of the day, it is really possible to focus on the rocks?Breaking up can be a desperate, emotionally unstable man who is not contingent on resumption of a reconciliation process and she will find tons of self help sites and articles, all proclaiming how you should reconcile or not?It has always been hard to deal with the break up is tough to get your man suddenly breaks up with her.If you want to get her to make sure her ends will meet.While he & Meghan had shared was worth trying to get him back to dating.
Here's a food for thought, don't rush back in your partner some free advice on getting your girlfriend back?This is the other person again after the break up.Having emotional stability is very powerful feeling, and if she sees you.You need to be a positive communication with your macho act and she comes around, you'll both be back in each other's arms.Don't just fall apart emotionally, then she may feel insecure in the process because they thought that you have to show her your face.
So cool your heels for a few tips to win your wife back after a break up with, and expect to apologize for.The concept involves the principle of the break up will finally happen in the first step is to be told.Have they met someone new and exciting person and will most likely be much happier.It doesn't have to get back to a show, or your ex back, then you need to play on their own.Most of our behavior is learnt and can help you in their life even though they have an argument.
Bar Musings
Part 3
I’m surprising myself by how quickly I’m writing this.
Tumblr media
In the darkness of the car, she began to sober up a bit. Some of the fogginess began to clear, but she was still in no state to operate any vehicle. She was starting to question her decision— it’s a weekday, and here she was drunk with strangers, granted they were both kind and attractive, but strangers nonetheless. Shawn and G were chatting with the driver about the weather and the upcoming holidays. The mundaneness soothed some of her nerves about her decision. She then took her phone out to texted Kate and saw that she had a message from her.
iMessage From Kate: Hey, love! I’m sorry he’s such a dick. You’re wonderful, and we can eat junk and I have wine, and we can do nails. I’m getting off from my shift in 20!
iMessage to Kate: Please. That sounds amazing. I’m out grabbing food with some guys I met at the bar lol... call me when you’re out!
She put her phone in her pocket. They pulled up to the diner in no time. She flushed looking at exactly which diner they had chosen. This diner happened to be her diner. This was where she waitressed 5-6 nights a week, and on her off days or breaks, where she did her homework. Fuck. She silently wished Marco wasn’t working. He teased her relentlessly, and could be a bit much on the best of days.
“I think the coast is clear,” G said from the front seat, probably referring to the lack of fans. He got out of the car first.
“Thank you so much,” she said to the driver and began to dig into her purse for her wallet to tip the man. From the backseat, Shawn shook the driver’s hand and passed him some folded bills.
“I got it,” he lowered his voice to her, and got out of his side of the car. He held it open for her. She scooted over and stumbled out. He steadied her by holding onto her arm. She blushed again.
“I’m normally not this bad, and I swear it’s not still the wine.”
He smiled, “I’m sure.” She wasn’t quite sure if he was agreeing because he believed her or was just humoring her.
They headed towards the diner, where through the slightly steamed window, they could make out G sitting at a table. They strolled slowly towards the door, ignoring the cool air.
“I’m glad you came.”
“I am too.”
He hesitated, “I’m sure the company helps too after your breakup.”
She felt strangely disappointed that the conversation involved Tom in some capacity, “it does, and you and G are funny. He was telling me about you at the bar.”
“Ahh, don’t listen to him.”
“No, no. It wasn’t anything bad.”
“I don’t know if I believe you,” he said with a chuckle.
“Well, he was joking around a bit, but it really wasn’t anything to be worried about.”
“So bartending,” she added.
“It’s a lot of fun. I’m not great, but I’m getting better. The first cocktail I made, I got the shaker stuck on the glass, and I panicked a bit and smacked it a bit too hard on the edge of the counter,” he paused.
“Oh no, tell me you didn’t break the glass,” she laughed kindly.
“No, I chipped the counter,” he sheepishly grinned and she almost snorted, “I was learning in my friend’s apartment kitchen, and the counter was made of that compressed wood stuff.”
“Oh my god! What did she say?”
“He was drunk and thought it was hilarious. I paid to fix the counter the next morning.”
They reached the diner doors and he held it open for her. She was disappointed the diner wasn’t farther away, and her stomach clenched at the thought of her coworkers seeing her, but she held her head high and walked inside.
G was sitting at table 18, the large corner table that could seat 10 comfortably. He was alone with a mug in front of him already, and his phone glued to his ear.
She led the way, glancing quickly around to see who was on tonight. No one was in the dining room at the moment. She sat to G’s left. Shawn took his jacket off and hung it on the back of his chair before sitting. While he was, she took a moment to shamelessly look him over. His shirt had opened a button on the ride over, and his chain was more visible. The contrast of his skin and the chain gave her slight chills. His chest and arms were massive, but not in an off putting way. He looked like he could take care of himself if he got into a scrap, though she doubted he would ever need to, and yet he still managed to look so, so completely... cuddly.
She felt warm and needed to look away as he sat down next to her. G tilted his phone away from his mouth and whispered that it was his girlfriend and she was drunk.
Shawn grabbed the small milks on the table for G’s coffee, and began to stack them. She smiled at his antics and then began to help him build a tower. It got quite high and then G blew on the tower, with his phone still on his ear. The tower crumbled. She laughed, and Shawn whined, “dude, not cool.”
Tracy, the middle aged mother of three, appeared without looking up from her notepad, “hi, I’m Tracy. Welcome to Bee’s Diner. Can I get you guys a coffee? Fries?” She had bags under her eyes. She sympathized with Tracy, Tuesday and Thursday evening shifts were always the dodgiest, and add raising teenage sons into the mix.
“I’m okay with water, and,” he turned to her.
“Hey Trace, I’ll have a water too.”
“Oh! How are you dear,” she finally glanced up. She blushed, but knew Tracey meant well. Tracey knew all about Tom. She was a motherly figure who was fantastic at listening and giving advice.
“Uh, good.” Tracey, bless her, didn’t mention anything. She looked over G and Shawn assessing them with new eyes.
“Two waters, and your usual?” Tracey asked with her pen in hand. When she wasn’t waitressing, she was often found in booth 13 with textbooks and her laptop. She’d always order a big bowl of soup and a grilled cheese, and depending on her stress level either a basket of fries or a bowl of fruit.
She smiled at Tracy, “just the soup today.” Tracy smiled, “and for you boys?” Shawn was staring at her like he was trying to figure something out. “I’ll have what she’s having.”
G put his hand over the mouth piece and ordered a burger.
Tracey collected the unused menus from the table, “I’m glad to see you out with someone besides Kate. You’re waiting on a few more?”
“Uh, I’m not sure,” she looked at Shawn for confirmation.
“Yeah, I think so.”
Tracey nodded leaving two of the menus behind, and went to sort out their order with the kitchen.
Shawn turned to her, “Kate’s your—ex?”
She smiled, “no still current, best friend.” He nodded, and brought his hands back to the milks. She went back to helping him, “she’s getting off from work soon actually.”
“Yeah? What’s she do?”
“She’s an ER nurse.”
“That’s awesome. Does she happen to watch Grey’s?”
She laughed, “no she refuses actually. She doesn’t want to start comparing her life to Meredith’s.”
“Do you watch it?”
“I stopped after Izzie’s storyline with Denny. It was too much for my emotions.”
“That’s so early though!”
“I know, I just couldn’t keep watching.” Her phone went off.
She pulled her phone out, “speak of the devil.”
iMessage From Kate: Girlfriend!!!! I hope you’re being smart!! Where are you? What are their names? I’m gonna be a littler late because my boss sucks, but if you need me I’ll leave now.
iMessage to Kate: I am, and I’m okay! We’re at Bee’s. Their names are Shawn and G.
iMessage From Kate: What the hell of a name is G? And last names? What if I need to track one of them down?
She snorted and apologized to Shawn as she typed out her response, “I’m sorry. I try not to be on my phone when I’m with other people, but we’re meeting up after her shift.”
“Oh no worries at all. Does she want us to order her something?”
iMessage to Kate: I’m fine and you won’t need to track me down! Do you need me to fake an emergency so you can leave? They work you too hard.
“Great idea, I’ll ask.” She was surprised again by his generosity, but shouldn’t have been. He had been extremely thoughtful the entire evening.
“She won’t be here for a bit, but I’ll order her pancakes when she’s leaving the hospital.”
He nodded and continued to work on the milk tower.
“Fuck, where?!” G sat up straight. Her and Shawn’s heads snapped up to look at G. “Alright. Breathe. I’ll come to get you. Stay on the phone with me.”
G looked over to Shawn, “your apartment’s a few blocks over? Your car is there right, not at your parents?”
“Yeah, what’s going on?”
“Can you bring me to get C—- what?” G turned his attention back to his phone and urgently added, “we’re on our way.”
“Some creepy guy is there slipping things into drinks. She’s locked herself in the bathroom.” G snapped.
Shawn quickly stood pushing his chair back. He dug for his wallet, “shit, I’m out of cash.”
“I’ve got it. Don’t worry about it,” she stood too and reached for her own purse, “go, don’t worry about this.”
G was already at the door of the diner, “Shawn!”
He looked back at her, “thanks, I-I’ll text you.” And rushed out the door.
She let out a breath and sat down. She hoped G’s girlfriend would be okay.
Then a terrible and selfish thought crept into her mind, he didn’t have her cell phone number...
She looked around hoping he’d pop back in and magically give it to her. Realizing how ridiculous of a thought it was, she sighed at herself. That’s when she noticed he left his jacket behind. She grabbed it off the back of his chair. She held it for a moment hoping it would somehow give her an answer as towards how to contact him. Accepting defeat, she laid it on her lap and pulled out her wallet to pay Tracey. Digging for her credit card, her heart jumped, “oh fuck,” she said aloud.
“What’s the matter? Where’d everyone go?” Tracey appeared with the waters and extra napkins.
“They had an emergency.” She sounded sad to her own ears, and added “and I left my tab open at the bar. I don’t have my credit card.”
Tracey sat down at the table and patted her arm, “it’s alright. I know where you work. Now what’s this about an emergency.”
**
She left the diner with all the food packed up, and a promise to pay and tip Tracey well for the nutty evening. She headed towards the bar to retrieve her card, and silently prayed that no one had taken it or used it in her absence.
The chilly air blew up her thin jacket and made her shiver. Her skin felt icy. She glanced down at his jacket. It was warming the arm it was draped over. She hesitated. He would never know if she put it on, and it was freezing, she talked herself into it. She put the food down on the sidewalk and slid her arms into the sleeves of the denim jacket. Her hands didn’t make it out of the sleeves, she rolled them a bit. She felt small wearing his clothes. Feeling toasty, she picked up the food and continued walking. A big gust of wind blew, and she buried her nose into the jacket. Mmm, it smelled like cologne. Her heart jumped, and she took a moment to inhale the jacket again. Remembering herself, she glanced around looking to see if anyone had watched her. She was alone. This was not even close to how she imagined this evening transpiring. Shaking her head at her actions, she decided to phone Kate to let her know what happened and that she needed to be picked up from the bar.
The bar came back into sight and the lines outside were insane. There appeared to be tons of teenage fan girls waiting to see if their idol was still inside. She walked up to the bouncer and got yelled at by fans waiting in line. She ignored the calls and told the bouncer her dilemma. He called inside to the bar, and then nodded, allowing her back into the warmth.
She went up to the bar and asked the bartender for her card, “there was no tab open. It was just left here.”
“No tab?” She was confused.
“No” shouted the bartender over the music. She took her card and put it back into her wallet. Shawn must not have charged her for anything. She felt strangely guilty and made a mental note to leave a large tip the next time she was back with cash. She wandered over to the window and peered out at the crowd that was slowly disbursing, just then Kate called, “I’m outside, by the girl holding a ‘the Future Mrs. Mendes’ poster. I wonder if he’s in the area because this is insane!”
She laughed and dashed outside to Kate’s beat up Honda. Climbing into the passenger seat, she was immediately assaulted with a hug.
“How are you?” Kate breathed.
How was she? She knew Kate was referring to the Tom situation, but right now all she could focus on was the disappointment of not being able to contact Shawn again.
“I’ve been better.”
Austin Visit 2 || Jucy
Continuation from [this.] Worked on through discord. Not finished yet.
@jt-padalecki
Jared —
Jared shook his head slightly at her words, honestly overly humored with the flirtatious and rather comfortable tone that she'd taken on. It was familiar in a way. And honestly she looked better this time around. His gaze trailed over her features and he could have sworn that this time she just looked better. Healthier. The last visit to Austin, she was barely clean at all, but she had some weeks on her this time. And it suited her, not that it was his place to tell her. "You really think that's the best idea?" A brow quirked and he shook his head, clearing his throat. "We can't do this.. you know it. And you know that if you keep tempting me, i'll eventually bite."
Lucy —
The woman knew her way around the house very well since she had lived there and found the cling wrap to cover her bowl to put in the fridge, "ill eat the rest of that for lunch tomorrow." Once the fridge was closed and she was no longer obligated to be in the kitchen she grabbed her water and started walking towards the living room, "Maybe that's what I'm hoping for," she said playfully. She moved over to the couch and sat down.
Jared —
Jared stayed in place, watching as she moved about the kitchen with a silence settling between them. When she was fully done, he followed her through the house and to the living room, glancing at the clock once more and figuring he had about a half hour before it was time to brush teeth and all of that. Settling on the couch a cushion away, he shook his head slightly and sighed, though the corners of his lips tugged into a slight smile. “You shouldn’t be though. We talked about this.” He turned his head to look at her. “So how are you doing? Happy the group home stuff is over I bet.”
Lucy —
She was trying to get him to a point where he called her his again but right now he acknowledged that she was Carlos'. "So happy. I hated the sober house so it was nice Los came back to LA. I'm glad to be done with program too."
Jared —
“I bet..” he nodded his head slightly and shifted on the couch so he was facing her a bit more. She’d mentioned more than once that she wasn’t a fan of the sober house in the slightest. “Do you feel better though? You look better. You look healthier.. more like I like you.” Sober, was the word he should have said but he didn’t like to remind her, didn’t think it’d be helpful
Lucy —
"I feel...all over the place. My meds are still being adjusted so I'm high and low and happy and sad..." she shrugged, "I'm just trying to heal." She put the bottle down on the coffee table and moved closer to him, turning so she was also facing him more. "I wish I could have some wine."
Jared —
His lips pressed into a thin line at her words and he nodded slowly. Obviously he didn’t quite get it, at least not to the extend he wished. “You’re healing, slowly.” He reached out, resting a hand on her shoulder and squeezing gently. “Rome wasn’t built in a day..just keep it up.” He sighed a bit and dropped his hand back down. “Not a good idea though, and you know it”
Lucy —
Part of her was mad she had fallen off the wagon after years but she had the support to go that long and beyond again. "I know. My problem is that I think I'm okay because it's not pills but it's a gateway. All I can have now is weed and even that is at specific times now. I can't have it whenever I want." She wanted to crawl onto his lap rest her head against his chest but she stayed where she was, "you never let me do anything fun though," she stuck her tongue out.
Jared —
Her words were valid, though hearing them was still a bit surprising. It wasn’t like she was always so, for a lack of better terms, stupid. She wasn’t always dependent on drugs. And to hear her talk to openly about her sobriety and talk about what could trigger a downward spiral, well honestly it made him happy. Her final words drew a laugh from him and he relaxed back into the couch. “That’s because your idea of fun could lead to a relapse right now.” He reminded her with a small smile. “I’m sure you’ll be able to drink one day, and smoke more freely. But right now you’ve just gotta be smart about it. Which you are.”
Lucy —
Her eyes roamed his body as he settled against the couch. "I'm not talking about just drinking. You won't let me do other things either." She had been there maybe a half hour and already she was skating around dangerous territory; she couldn't help it though. "So did you see the drama the other day? Paps caught me having lunch with someone and thought we were dating."
Jared —
He pressed his lips together slightly and shook his head. It was valid, but he had what he was pretty sure were good reasons for everything he did. The change in conversation drew his attention back towards him and he laughed a bit. “Oh I saw. It was pretty much everywhere.” A dark brow quirked up just slightly. “Always some kind of drama with paparazzi though, right? Least that’s what it seems like.”
Lucy —
"He's just a friend though," she wanted to make sure he didn't think she had other men in her life. "I'm fully committed to you and Carlos," she winked at him. "They're so frustrating. Do they come around the kids much?"
Jared —
He rolled his eyes slightly at her words but it was playfully, which he hoped the slight smile on his lips conveyed. He was actually fully satisfied with not irritating her and fighting right then, though he was sure the next day was going to be a different story. “Not much. I mean I think they know better than to get too close, doesn’t mean the occasional one doesn’t show up outside their school or snap a picture at the store.” He shrugged. “They’re all pretty cool with it. Adjusted by now I guess. I think it’s actually the fans that are worse, when it comes to that.” He shook his head. “No boundaries at all.”
Lucy —
She looked at him for a moment, "You're a good dad. You never get a break, I don't ever do my fair share...you're a really good dad." She couldn't do half of what he did, "You keep them safe and that's what matters."(edited)March 3, 2021
Jared —
It wasn't like what she was saying wasn't true, but still he'd never really been the best at receiving compliments. Though he supposed his kids were the number one thing that he could say he deserved them on. He gave everything for them, always boosted them up and tried to set them for a good future regardless of what was going on his personal life. He'd never forgive himself if he messed up in any way. "Well I appreciate it.. I try." He cleared his throat slightly, turning his head to look at Lucy. "And I appreciate the effort you're making. I know your kids will too. Sammy will."
Lucy —
The woman still didnt know if she was going to break down one day, not tell anyone, and just end her life, but in this moment she was trying to think of a future that involved her in her kids lives. "The girls are too old for me to keep bouncing in and out of their live...I need to be consistent. And Link shouldn't have to experience what Belle and Sam did. Or our next baby," she winked at him. She wanted him to kiss her so badly since she couldn't make the first move but unless he had been drinking she didn't think it would happen.
Jared —
Jared lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug at her words, ready to make his comment back before her final words caught him off guard and he laughed, head tipping back to rest on the couch as the sound rumbled out of him. "Oh for sure." He looked back towards her, winking back and shaking his head. "So be consistent. You're doing a good job now, just keep it up." He shrugged a bit, glancing at the clock before back to Lucy. "Do you want to tackle teeth brushing and pajamas? Or would you rather I did?"
Lucy —
In another life they were still married and she pictured herself moving over to him and kissing him lovingly and then getting up, saying she would handle it and he could rest. She couldn't do that whole thing now, but she stood up and stretched, her shirt lifting a little to reveal her belly button. "I'll go, you deserve a break."
Jared —
He allowed his gaze to catch on the sliver of skin that was exposed as she stretched, lingering a few moments too long before lifting slowly to meet her gaze. Giving a slight nod of his head, he offered a small smile. “That’d be nice, let me know when she’s good, I’ll come up for hugs.”
Lucy —
"Will do," she smiled at him and then started for the stairs. She loved her kids, she loved being around them, but the taking care of another person had never been her strong point. Doing it for a short time was no problem, but doing it every day had always been hard for her. "Time for teeth brushing," she said when she walked into Sam's room. The little girl refused at first but Lucy stood there with a stern look on her face, "Excuse me? You're a better listener than that. Come on, Samara, get to the bathroom." She helped her reluctant daughter brush her teeth and change into her pajamas. "Now we need to get your father," Lucy commented and the little girl ran off. "I do it!" she reached the top of the stairs and shouted, "Daddy!"
Jared —
Jared stood when Lucy started up the steps and headed through the house towards the laundry area, switching loads and pulling the clothes from the dryer into a basket. He got about half of it folded before the girls shout down the steps drew his attention. Heading out of the room, he started up the steps, smile stretching over his features. "Look at you! All fresh and ready for bed." He laughed a bit, scooping the girl up into a bear hug and earning a round of giggles as he moved towards the bedroom. Kissing the top of her head, He lowered her back down and tucked her in before standing as she requested Lucy be the one to read one story tonight. Glancing back at his ex, a dark brow quirked slightly. "Wanna tackle one story and then meet me out back?" It was a nice night, now that Texas seemed to get over it's bad patch of weather.
Lucy —
She was happy her daughter wanted her around more and she nodded to Jared. "That sounds good. How about you pick out the book?" She waited to be handed a book and then she sat down on the edge of Sam's bed and started to read. When she was done she hugged and kissed her daughter until she was satisfied and then went to the guest room to change into her pajamas. After putting on a pair of dark grey sweat pants and a white tank top she went back downstairs and went outside into the backyard looking for Jared. "Hey," she said when she found him.
Jared —
The night was a little bit cooler than the day, but not anything super wild yet. When the sun was fully down it would bring more of a chill to the air, but right then it was perfect. He started a little fire in the pit near the deck and dragged a few chairs out, sitting in his and scrolling through his phone, going over his upcoming schedule, when Lucy reappeared. Lifting his gaze towards her, he gave a small smile. "Hey, she settled in?" He doubted she'd take too much to go to sleep, she'd been real good lately at putting herself to sleep and staying down for the night. They were certainly over the rough sleepless nights
Lucy —
The cool air hit her and she wished she had also brought a jacket or long sleeved shirt but she also knew that her nipples were going to get hard and be super noticeable and she was hoping Jared would stare. "She's good," Lucy said and sat down in the chair next to his. Reaching into her pants pocket she pulled out a blunt tube and lighter, "Do you mind? This is the last one I can have today and I'd rather do it now than stop things later to do it." She didn't know where the night would take them but if they were having a good time she didn't want to stop things to go smoke. "And this way it's out of the garage," she added.
Jared —
Jared relaxed back into the chair and shook his head just slightly as she spoke, glancing towards the stuff in her hands. "No that's fine, I don't care." Honestly, it could have been worse. And he'd been more or less coming around to weed use as of lately. It was a natural thing, and, in the right cases, helpful towards recovery. Clearing his throat slightly, he sighed a bit and looked up, watching as the smoke from the fire billowed towards the sky. "I'm glad you're here, Lucy. Honestly. It'll be good."
Lucy —
Lucy lit the blunt and took a small drag; her lungs hurt a little from all the smoking and she didn't want to start coughing. His comment caught her off guard but she smiled as she looked at him, "I'm glad you're glad," she was used to him not wanting her around. She took another puff and even though she assumed he'd say no she still offered the blunt in his direction.
Jared —
He was honestly going to turn her down. But something, maybe it was just the fresh air and the bonfire, the feeling of them forming something solid again, made him say nod his head and reach a hand out. It wasn’t the first time he smoked, and it likely wouldn’t be the last, he just didn’t make it a habit often at all. Lifting it to his lips, he took a hit and, not surprisingly, coughed the smoke back out, clearing his throat and coughing again as he extended it back with the shake of his head. “Weak lungs.” He laughed a bit, leaning back in the chair and letting his gaze rest on the fire
Lucy —
To say she was surprised he took it was an understatement. The one and only time he had ever smoked with her was on their honeymoon and he had said he hated it and would never do it again. Taking it back with a small chuckle she said, "Cough to get off," and then took a hit before the blunt went out. "Coughing makes the high better." Lucy looked around the backyard and sighed softly, this was supposed to be her home, where she planted roots, and now she was only a guest for the night. "Try smaller puffs and holding it in longer." she offered some advice and handed it back to him.
Jared —
He held a hand flat, giving a slight shake of his head. “I’ll pass right now.” He’d probably gotten enough for a very light high and honestly that was good enough. The last thing he needed was to get completely stoned and end up doing something stupid. “So you and Carlos,” probably a stupid thing to bring up. “You guys are good?”
Lucy —
She nodded and took the blunt back to smoke more. "Let me know if you want more because I'm probably gonna keep smoking it now." Once someone passed she tended to monopolize it. She started coughing when he asked about Carlos. "Yeah, we're good. I think he's worried about you and me, but we're good. He seems to trust me..." she shrugged because she didn't even trust herself.
Jared —
He shrugged a bit at her words and cleared his throat slightly, turning his head to look at her as she spoke. "Worried about us..." He repeated her words, slowly nodding his head. Made sense, he would have been too if he was in that position. Sighing, he nodded. "Good. I'm glad its good"
Lucy —
"He treats me really well, he's so patient with me and he doesn't make me feel like I'm crazy. He sees beyond the addictions and bad habits and mental illness and sees me at my core. I should love him..I should marry him one day." She took a hit of the blunt and held the smoke in her lungs for a few seconds before blowing it out. "I wish you could be that patient with me..." if Jared had treated her the way Carlos does they never would have had as many problems as they did.
Jared —
Jared listened in silence as she talked about Carlos, honestly not sure he wanted to address the slight irritation that welled up inside of him at her words or if he was willing to just let the slight high he had tamper that down. It wasn't his spot to be irritated or jealous in the slightest. And yet he kind of was. Sighing a bit, he cleared his throat. "Yeah. Me too. But good. You deserve someone like him. He sounds great." he bristled slightly, pushing to his feet and grabbing another log to slide onto the fire.
Lucy —
The higher she got the harder it was to keep her eyes off of the man and she noticed his change in body language and she knew he was jealous. Good. "He deserves someone better than me."
Jared —
Tucking his hands in the pockets of his jeans, he shifted his gaze away from the flicker of the flames and towards his ex. “In your opinion. You can’t tell him what he does and doesn’t deserve. Does and doesn’t want. That’s not how real life works. I’m sure if he decides otherwise, you’ll know”
Lucy —
She flicked the ash off the blunt and took another hit, "Trust me, I'm very well aware I can't tell people what they want," everything always went back to some conversation she and Jared had in the past. She was quiet for a moment, "does he have a reason to worry?"
Jared —
He snorted just slightly at her words though he didn’t make any kind of comment. At least not until her last question. Lips pressing together he sighed. “Look I don’t know. I’ve already told you. I have no idea anymore. Nothings going to happen though. I’m not a fan of helping you cheat so.. I think you should just focus on your actual relationship”
Lucy —
Lucy had wondered why he asked her a lot about how things were going with Carlos and now it finally dawned on her; he wanted her to say things were bad or she was now single so he could act on things. "If I do that you run the risk of that relationship working out and be being with him forever, you're okay with that?"
Jared —
He pondered the question a few moments before nodding his head. Honestly, it was a difficult one but his answer was pretty much solid. “Yeah. If being with him keeps you healthy and makes you happy, then I’m perfectly content.” He shrugged, speaking honestly. It was hard sometimes, especially with the ups-and-downs that he and Lucy had in the past. But he genuinely just wanted what was best for her because that consequently meant what was best for their child
Lucy —
His answer was something she should have expected but it still hurt that he didnt say he wasn't okay with it. It still hurt he didn't want her enough to fight for her. A small gust of wind caused her to shiver and she felt her nipples press against the fabric of the tank too. "Okay," was all she could say because she didn't want him to hear her voice crack; she was trying not to cry.
Jared —
She was upset. That much was abundantly clear. And his lips pressed into a thinner line as he released a heavy sigh. “What do you want me to say, Lucy?” He caught the shiver and he shrugged his flannel off, leaving himself in a tshirt as he setting it in her lap before sitting again in his chair. “I won’t know if I actually want to be with you until we try it. And I’m not risking your happiness because I don’t know what I want.”
Lucy —
Putting the blunt in her mouth to free her hands she stood up and put the flannel on before sitting back down. She quietly scoffed when she took the blunt back out of her mouth. "No, you're right. I should be with someone who knows they want me." She couldn't look at him now.
Jared —
“You know, maybe you should.” He stood again, shaking his head. “Maybe find someone that hasn’t been through so much shit with you, that’s free to know they want to try again.” He shook his head and shifted slightly in the seat, feeling restless and irritated. “Because yeah, condemning me for not wanting to put our daughter in a bad spot again is the right thing to do”
Lucy —
"Im not condeming you," she finished the blunt and tossed it to the ground. "But it wouldn't kill you to think about you and not about other people. How would she feel if she ever found out her dad stayed single and miserable because he was afraid of hurting her? She'll blame herself."
Jared —
“When you’ve got kids you can’t just put yourself first.” He sighed slightly, leaning back in the chair and lifting both hands up to push through his hair before clearing his throat and dropping his hands to his thighs. “I don’t know what to tell you.” Finally, he turned his head and looked at her. “I want you. But I’m not willing to jump into anything. So that’s that”
Lucy —
She still felt sad but hearing him say he wanted her did make her feel a little better. Taking a deep breath she stood and moved over to his chair and sat down on his lap sideways so she could rest the side of her head on his chest. Maybe they couldn't do anything but she wanted to be closer to him and she loved listening to his heartbeat.
Jared —
He should have expected her to climb into his lap eventually, she was a rather determined type. And he imagined that pushing her off was expected. And yet he didn’t. He simply sighed a bit before resting his cheek against the top of her head, drawing in a deep breath and lifting an arm to rest over top of her, just soaking up the comfortable silence
Lucy —
The intimacy of this one moment calmed her down and she felt herself relaxing against him. "I always feel so safe in your arms," she said softly, not wanting to completely ruin the silence but wanting him to know how comfortable she was. "I wish you never let me go."
Jared —
The silence was comfortable, but it didn’t mean it didn’t still have an air of wrong about it. He didn’t speak for awhile, but eventually he nodded. “This is nice. We’ll have to go inside eventually though. Don’t want you getting too cold and sick”March 4, 2021
Lucy —
"This /is/ nice," she agreed and nuzzled her head against him. "You may have to carry me when that time comes, I'm very content here."
Jared —
A small laugh slipped past his lips and he sighed, sitting there for a few moments completely still and watching as the fire burned the wood down slowly. After a bit, he spoke up. "Probably time to get in and get to bed. I'll be up early to feed Sammy and drop her off." He glanced down at Lucy. "Want a lift in?"
Lucy —
That would always be the biggest difference between them, she could never change her life around to fit the needs of a child. She wondered if she ever would. "Yes please."
Jared —
At her request, he lifted her up, moving across the back yard and into the house. Slowly, he moved up the steps and into the bedroom, though he really considered stopping in the spare room, something told him she'd likely end up in his bed anyways. Setting her down, he stripped and moved into the bathroom to take a leak before crawling into bed near her and almost immediately passing out. He woke up the next morning far too early, and it took him a few seconds to actually realize what had woken him because the room was still dark and a glance at the alarm clock told him that it wasn't even near time to get up. But then his eyes adjusted to the darkness and he spotted the tear streaked face of the 4 year old as she crawled into bed, gripping her stuffed animal. "It's early, honey, whats-" The words caught in his throat as she crawled into the bed, her cheek resting against his bare arm and alerting him to the heat radiating from her. "Oh crap.." He groaned slightly. It was to be expected, she had a party with other kids, other adults, all sorts of germs. Remembering Lucy was behind him, he shifted slightly, tapping her. "Hey, get up, Sammy's got a fever." He shifted up to sitting and flipped the lamp on his side of the bed on, illuminating the room and pushing out of bed. "Stay here with mommy, I'm gonna go get the thermometer and see if we still have medicine." She didn't get sick often so he kind of doubted it.
Lucy —
Lucy was surprised he took her to his bed but she wasn't going to say anything and ruin it. While he was in the bathroom she got herself comfortable. Her phone was in the guest room charging and it felt nice to be away from it for the time being. It was like they were in their own bubble. She fell asleep soon after he did and groaned when he started waking her. It took a moment for his words to register and her eyes shot open, immediately finding her daughter in the dark, "Come here, baby bear, come lay down with mama," Sam moved over to Lucy and snuggled close to her mom. "If you need to run to the store and get some I can stay here with her." She wasn't awake yet but she was trying to be the other parent.
Jared —
Jared yanked a pair of sweatpants up his legs on his way out the bedroom, moving towards the bathroom down the hall where he kept most of the medical supplies. He found the thermometer immediately, however after digging through the cabinets twice he came up empty for medicine. Giving a slight curse under his breath, he shook his head slightly and moved back towards the room. "Sit still," He gave the gentle command to Samara as he squatted near the bed, reaching out and checking her temp. When it beeped and the screen flashed red, the frown on his features deepened. "102.1" He sighed. It wasn't quite high enough where she needed to go in to the doctors or the hospital, rule of thumb was generally 103/104 in healthy kids. His lips pressed together and he stood, eyeing Lucy. "The corner store should have some, it's about a ten minute drive. You good?" He asked, keeping his gaze on her as he moved back towards the closet and tugged a shirt over his head, followed immediately by a ball cap.
Lucy —
Lucy held onto Sam while Jared checked her temperature and then the little girl snuggled back closely to her mom. "Grab me a 5 hour energy or something please," she asked him and shifted the blanket so Sam was covered. "We'll be right here when you get back, most likely sleeping." She hoped he believed she wouldn't just disappear with their daughter while he was gone, especially when Samara was sick.
Jared —
Jared pocketed his phone and wallet, bending and pressing a kiss on Sammy’s head before kissing the top of Lucy’s and pausing. It was almost on instinct and he didn’t quite realize he’d done it until he started pulling back. “Sorry.. uh. Yeah. Five hour energy.” He cleared his throat and turned heading out and down to the store. He was back in about 25 minutes with a few necessities and made his way up the steps and into the bedroom with the energy, the medicine, and a small bottle of room temp unsweetened tea for Sammy “Hey,” he whispered the word as he walked in. “She awake?”
Lucy —
The kiss to her forehead caused her to smile, though she wasn't sure if Jared could see in the dark. "Be safe," she told him. Lucy never could fall back asleep, though she did rest her eyes for the duration he was gone. "No," she whispered, "She fell asleep a few minutes after you left. I'll wake her," the woman shifted slightly and started caressing the girl's cheek, "Wake up baby bear. Daddy's back with something to make you feel a lot better,"
Jared —
Setting the 5 hour down on the nightstand closest to where Lucy was, Jared pulled the hat from his head and rounded the bed, squatting near where Samara was slowly stirring and sitting up. "Hey. I got some medicine for your head, and a little drink for you." He wasn't sure whether to expect a fight from her or not, but surprisingly she took the medicine well and then, after a small sip of tea and making a disgusted face, she laid back down by Lucy. Sighing, he capped the meds and looked at the clock, making note of the time so he knew when she could have medicine again. Looking at Lucy, he shook his head slightly. "Looks like she'll be staying home today."
Lucy —
As much as Lucy wanted to work things out with Jared she knew this was more important. "Come back to bed then. Let's all try to get some rest while we can." Lucy was so used to sleeping with both her daughters in bed with her so this didn't phase her.
Jared —
Jared frowned a few moments, not really sure that he wanted to lay back down when he knew that Sammy wasn't feeling well. But also nothing could really be done for her at the moment. She'd gotten her medicine, it was really just a waiting game at that point. So he nodded and kicked off his shoes and socks before crawling back into the bed, lifting a hand to push some of the hair back from the little girls face before sighing and looking up at Lucy wordlessly.
Lucy —
It had been a long time since Lucy had dealt with a sick child and part of her wasn't in the mood for this, but this was part of parenthood and she knew it'd mean a lot to Jared to see her doing the right, responsible thing. "She'll be okay now that she had the medicine. We'll let her sleep now and recheck her temperature in a few hours. Maybe you should call her doctor and let them know for record." She would have called herself and left a message with the on-call doctor but she didn't know if Jared still took her to the same pediatrician.
Jared —
"Yeah I will, I thought about it on the way but they don't open until 8. I'll see if it goes down first. Don't want anyone to panic.. Should be fine." He'd dealt with his fare share of sick kids before. Clearing his throat slightly, he watched as Samara slowly shifted further into the bed and shut her eyes. "You don't have to stay here. if you want you can go to the spare room. Or drink your drink and.. do something else. Our talk is pretty much canceled today. At least the real lock in talk. We can still..talk." He'd said talk too many times. But honestly there was no going back to sleep at that point
Lucy —
"All doctors offices have an answering service and an on call doctor, you could have just left a message, but yeah, let's wait and see what happens." She had already assumed they wouldn't be doing their talk if Sam was home sick but she didn't think he'd encourage her to leave and go do something else. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm snuggling with my two bears," she smiled at him.
Jared —
"Well yeah, I know this." He shook his head slightly. "But because of who I am it alwaysgets escalated, doctor gets a call right away even if I say it's no big deal so.. I waited." And honestly, he appreciated the special treatment when it came to his kids but every now and then it annoyed him. He nodded at her words, gaze shifting back down at Samara as she fully fell back asleep. "I'm likely not going back to bed. I'm probably going to go make some coffee. Want me to bring you a cup?" He whispered the words
Lucy —
"That's a good thing if there's ever an emergency." She commented and shifted slightly so Sam wasn't on her arm anymore and she could move freely. She waited to see if Sam was going to wake up and when she didn't Lucy got out of bed. "I have to pee. Um, not right now. I had you grab me the 5 hour energy so I could just have that. I don't wanna explode my heart."
Jared —
“Oh yeah.” He laughed a bit, shaking his head and repocketing his phone. “See, need coffee.” He cleared his throat a bit and walked out of the room, heading down to start a pot of coffee and a few eggs for breakfast, deciding it was likely she’d sleep in a bit and that working out was a possible next move after he’d woken up more
Lucy —
After she went pee and washed her hands Lucy went back to the bed and saw she was alone with her daughter. She tried lying back down but couldn't fall back to sleep so she opened the energy drink and drank it down like the shot it was. She adjusted the pillows so Sam wouldn't roll off the bed and then she left the room. She went to get her phone and then started looking for Jared downstairs.March 5, 2021
Jared —
Jared liked to enjoy his coffee, rather than just gulp it down like he did on the days that he was running behind or just had a lot of stuff coming up and needed to get done. But he really preferred the slow down days where he could just step outside, even if the morning was chilly, and enjoy his coffee with the sunrise. Glancing back towards the sliding glass doors, he spotted Lucy and lowered his coffee cup from his mouth. Honestly, he'd expected her to go back to bed. Moving across the deck, he opened the door slightly and poked his head in. "I'm out here, but help yourself to some food or whatever. If you want to come out, grab the blanket from the couch, it's a little chilly out here."
Lucy —
When Lucy got to the kitchen she found it empty and stood thetr for a moment trying to think of which room she should next but then the sliding door opened. "I'll let you have your down time," she told him with a small smile and moved over the couch and sat down, covering herself with the blanket.March 6, 2021
Jared —
Jared nodded his head and moved back out onto the deck, drinking his coffee slowly and watching as the sun finally started to move over the tree tops. Sighing a bit, he moved back inside and refilled his cup before setting off in search of Lucy. It seemed like Sammy was still upstairs sleeping, so he didn't check there out of the risk of bothering her, and eventually found his ex in the living room. Settling in the chair near the couch, he reclined back a bit, legs lifting to rest on the coffee table. "If you're up for it, we could probably talk a little right now?" It was still kind of early, but he was wide awake. "Since Sammy won't be going to my mom's.. but she's asleep now." He shrugged.
Lucy —
While she was by herself she started lying down and dozing off but every few minutes her body would jolt her awake. Or maybe it was the five hour energy. When Jared entered the room she sat up a little more and rubbed her eyes. "If we did that we'd have to keep our voices down..no fighting..no yelling. We have to let the other person speak their mind, speak their thoughts and feelings and we cannot get defensive. We have to acknowledge and accept."
Jared —
He sighed a bit at her words but nodded his head, clearing his throat and shifting a bit so one leg rested over the other. "That's the point right? Can't yell if she's asleep. Waking up a sick kid is never fun. So it's good motivation." His gaze shifted back to her. "I'll let you go first.. I'm not really sure where to start"
Lucy —
She nodded in agreement, "yeah that would suck." She took a deep breath and repositioned so she was more comfortable. There were so many things that she wanted to say any other time but right now she was drawing a blank. She started to play with her fingers and after a couple of minutes she said, "For a long time you made me feel ugly."
Jared —
He really was working to keep himself together already, her words bringing him to shut his eyes. He had no idea why it was so hard to just talk to her. Then again, maybe it was because pretending the past didn't hurt as much as it did was just easier. Confronting it kind of sucked. "I'm sorry." He apologized, eyes opening and gaze turning to her finally. "For awhile, I think I actually hated you.. It's why I was a dick. Not that it's an excuse.. but it's a reason."
Lucy —
"Every time I asked you or accused you of hating me you said it was all in my head. I feel like you drive me more crazy than I already am. Exculding the last couple months you say one thing but do another; treat me another." She paused, "my whole life ive gone through self esteem issues and eating disorders and when we were married and you stopped wanting to have sex with me it made me feel bad about myself and then i stopped eating. When i got really skinny and you said i looked like a boy it made me feel even worse. I don't think you ever realized how your words cut me all the time."
Jared —
Her words drew a slight clench to his jaw and he shook his head slightly. Her words were valid, but it didn’t mean it didn’t irritate him. “Yes. And I apologized. I’m not the same person and I have no idea how to make you understand that because clearly showing you isn’t working.”
Lucy —
She took another deep breath because she didn't want to complain that he seemed to be getting defensive two seconds in. "I'm probably going to repeat things that I've mentioned before because I need to let it all go. I'm telling you everything and then we're moving on." She licked her lips, "Do you have anything you want to talk about? We should take turns."
Jared —
He nodded his head at her words but didn’t comment just yet. She’d said it before, sure, but it didn’t mean it irritated him any less. He didn’t like constantly being reminded of how terrible he used to be. Clearing his throat, he sighed. “Not really. The only thing I have is really your sobriety and health. Which you’re already working on. So.. I guess that’s it.”
Lucy —
She stared at him and wondered if she really did have more problems with him than he did with her or if he was keeping them to himself. "Have you been punishing me all these years for trying to kill myself?"
Jared —
His lips pressed into a thin line at her question and he thought about it. Silence stretched between them long enough that he almost expected her to speak up again but he finally answered. “No. I don’t know.” He shook his head. “I don’t think so. I was mad at you. Scared to be around you, scared to let Sammy be around you. I don’t think it was punishing you as much as it was protecting myself and her.”
Lucy —
She didn't want to cry but she could feel the pressure building. "If the situation was reversed and you felt that low that you tried to kill yourself and I left you and kept Sammy from you how would that have made you feel?" The tears were falling now, "I tried to kill myself because I felt worthless and I needed you to tell me that I wasn't and you left me alone instead. You weren't supposed to leave me alone."March 7, 2021
Jared —
“And here we go.” He sighed, jaw clenching tight enough that he felt a tick from the muscles. “You claim you want to talk stuff out,” he paused, forcing himself to keep his voice low. “But then you keep throwing it back at me. I understand repeating things helps you but smothering me with my mistakes when I’ve already apologized for them and keep trying to make them better only pisses me off.” He sat up, legs dropping from the coffee table. “I’m trying, Lucy.”
Lucy —
"Im not throwing it back at you. This is what's really affecting me. This is what I need to work through. I feel abandoned by you."March 8, 2021
Jared —
Jared sighed a bit, shaking his head and sitting back in the chair, feet still on the floor. "And you should feel abandoned by me. Because I did abandon you. I don't know what else you want from me." He paused, stopping to lower his voice again as he glanced towards the steps before back to Lucy. "I don't know what you want me to say. And I'm sorry, but I struggle with constantly being reminded that I'm a bad guy in your story. Even though it clearly helps you."
Lucy —
She shrugged but she didn't know if it was because she didn't know what she wanted to hear or because she didn't want to say what she wanted to hear. "I wanna go back in time and I want you to say. I want you to love me enough to stay. Your opinion of me has been the only one that's ever mattered to me. The way you've treated me the last few years has been really hard on me..." she paused and took a breath, "I still feel like your wife and it kills me that you don't feel like my husband."
Jared —
"Well that's unrealistic." He gave her a hard look. "Completely so. I can't go back in time and we can't change the past. Which is why it's so hard for me that you have to keep lingering on it. I get it, but it doesn't mean I agree." He cleared his throat, looking away again and letting his gaze rest on the painting above the fireplace. "I just want us to be able to get along, and sometimes that seems impossible."
Lucy —
"We don't get along because you don't understand me. Lately you've been getting better and I'm hopeful that things will continue to get better but there's a lot of baggage I need to unload and let go of. I do hold a lot of resentment and it's not healthy. I don't want to spend the rest of our lives feeling these negative feelings about the stuff we've been through. I wanted to spend my life loving you and having adventures with you. I don't know how to get out of that mindset. I don't know how to be just your friend. I don't know how to just coparent with you."March 9, 2021
Jared —
"Well then it's all something you're going to have to learn. You don't know how to do it because you've never had to do it." Going from being in a relationship to just being a co-parent with another person was definitely weird. But still possible. He did it with Gen and, while it wasn't ideal, it worked. And after awhile it became so normal that he honestly sometimes he forgot that it wasn't always that way. "Look I'm willing to do what you need to in order for you to get better and us to get better... But I don't expect it all to be solved that quick."
Lucy —
"I don't want to learn how to do it," she said softly. She didn't know how to make him understand that all she wanted was him. All she needed was to feel like she mattered most to him. "What was your first thought when you walked into the bathroom that night?"
Jared —
The conversation shifting back drew an uncomfortable feel to the air and he cleared his throat, looking away again. Honestly, he wanted to ignore her question. To pretend that he didn't hear it. Because that was going to be easier than this. Shaking his head, he cleared his throat and finally spoke up. "My first thought was that I was too late. That was probably my only thought, actually." His voice was much softer than before and he forced himself to speak up so she would hear him. "I was sure that it was my fault. And blamed myself. It wasn't until you stabilized that I actually got pissed instead of just scared."
Lucy —
Lucy listened to him and processed all of his words carefully before she spoke again. "And because you were pissed you decided to hurt me to show me how I hurt you?" The only thing that made sense to Lucy was that he was punishing her. "I almost took me away from you so you wanted me to know what it felt like to lose you and you left." That's what she repeated to herself daily for years. "We never had to break up..."
Jared —
He shrugged his shoulders a bit at her words. Honestly, it sounded right. It wasn't like he was actively trying to hurt her or 'punish' her. But that's certainly how it came out and honestly, he wasn't sure that he'd do it any other way if the chance presented himself. He thought he was protecting sammy, and his own heart. "We did. Because who we were, it needed to change. Growth needed to happen. I know I'm a different person than I was back then. And I feel like you're starting to be a different person.. shaping up into one at least."
Lucy —
She took a deep breath, "I tried to kill myself because we got into a fight and I felt like I was never gonna be good enough for you. I felt like you looked at me like you were disgusted with my appearance and just me in general. I didn't want to live knowing you didn't want me. The last few years have been a roller coaster of emotions for me because I don't want to live without you. Maybe I am a slightly different person but I'm not actually happy. I never should have married Ian. I never should have let you walk away from me and every day I live with this awful feeling of regret and I hate myself. I hate myself for not being better when we were together. I don't wanna talk about the future a lot anymore because I'm struggling to get through one day at a time."
Jared —
"Ok, well that's how it is sometimes. You're supposed to take it one day at a time until you feel like you can take it a week at a time, then a month, etc." Jared shifted his gaze back to her. "That's literally all I can keep pushing to you is growth.  It's important. And it's all you really need to focus on. You don't have to live without me," He sat up further, leaning forward and resting his elbows on his knees. "I'm here, trying just like you."
Lucy —
He just didn't seem to understand what she meant and she didn't want to fight with him so she took another deep breath and stood up from the couch, "I need a break from this," she started towards the stairs, "I'm gonna go check on Sam."
Jared —
Shaking his head, he leaned back in the chair and stayed silent as she got up and moved towards the stairs. They always seemed to go round and round and he wasn't even shocked at that point. Sighing, he stood and walked into the kitchen, pouring a second cup of coffee, leaning against the counter and glancing at the clock, waiting and listening up the steps.
Lucy —
Lucy walked towards the master bedroom and took some calming breaths. They were still on two different pages about some stuff and she didn't know how to say certain things because he would shoot them down anyway. When she saw that Sam was still sleeping she went back downstairs and into the kitchen, opening the fridge and seeing if anything caught her eye to munch on.
Jared —
He watched her as she moved into the kitchen, but didn't say much. Instead, he focused on drinking his coffee and moved out towards the dining room as she opened the fridge. Settling at the table, he grabbed his phone out and started scrolling through it, replying to some messages
Lucy —
When she didn't find anything that interested her she closed the door and opened the freezer. Spotting waffles she took the box out and walked over to the toaster. "Most of the time I feel like I won't ever feel whole until we're back together."
Jared —
He glanced up towards the kitchen as she spoke, being able to see her fully thanks to the open concept. Clearing his throat, he leaned back in the chair. "And I told you that we can't even think about getting back together until I know you're whole.. better. safe. I can't risk Sammy like that... or my own heart."
Lucy —
She opened the box and put two waffles into the toaster, "I'm not whole because we're not together. You were my everything and you walked away, you left me alone. Ian, Carlos and everyone else I've been with lately has been me not wanting to be alone. My husband, my teammate, my support system left me alone to figure things out for myself and I can't do it by myself anymore. I can't use other people in hopes someone will make me feel the same way you do." She walked back to the freezer and put the box away.
Jared —
It honestly felt like they always seemed to go right back to the same conversation. And honestly he wasn't even sure what to say anymore. Because he was pretty sure he wanted her. In fact it was almost a confirmed thing that if she was healthier he'd have already been back with her. But she wasn't and it was risky. He couldn't just think of himself. He had kids. "But you're not getting what I'm saying." He put the coffee cup on the table, sighing and standing, walking over towards her but stopping to lean against the counter. "I can't let myself love you again until I know that you're ok. So we're at an impasse"
Lucy —
She grabbed the butter out of the fridge and then searched the cupboard for the peanut butter. "And you're not hearing me that I may never be one hundred percent okay and it's not fair that you're making your love for me conditional. That's the problem I've always had with you. Why can't you just love me unconditionally? No family is perfect but you're basically saying I have to be in order for us to be a family again."
Jared —
Frustration etched it's way through his body and he sighed heavily, shaking his head. "I'm not saying you have to be perfect. And I know you're not used to putting kids first, but I have to. I'm asking you to be healthy it's different. I can't just jump into a relationship or even try a relationship if I think it'll impact the kids in a negative way. And right now I think it would because I don't think we're ready."
Lucy —
"Life is so short and you're just wasting time," was all she could reply because if she continued to talk she was going to raise her voice. She was feeling so frustrated that she wasn't getting what she wanted. When the waffles popped up she took them and started putting the butter and peanut butter on them. She put everything away then took the plate to the table to sit down and eat.
Jared —
His arms crossed over the broad expanse of his chest and he sighed, shaking his head slightly as he moved into the living room, coffee cup forgotten in the dining room. Tugging shoes back on, he walked out onto the front porch, gaze skimming over the landscaping and sighing heavily, coming back in about 10 minutes later and, after kicking his shoes off, walking back into the room to grab his coffee cup wordlessly.
Lucy —
She ate her waffles alone in silence while he was outside doing whatever it was he was doing. She couldn't understand why he was so okay with the possibility of them never getting back together and she couldn't understand why she didn't mean more to him. Why he couldn't be willing to mend the relationship and help her work through the rest of her stuff. When he walked back in she was at the sink washing her plate and knife.
Jared —
That was the problem with them, stubbornness. Both of them would rather do anything before admitting they were wrong or cave a little. And maybe that was why they didn't last. Maybe they were never meant to. But that seemed like too heavy a conversation for that early in the morning still. Taking a seat at the island, he frowned a bit, clearing his throat. "So..." But he had nothing else to add, he lifted a hand to push through his hair. "We can probably consider our talk over then."
Lucy —
They hadn't really accomplished anything but Lucy knew that this was a long shot anyway. She felt like she was always going to put more effort into fixing them than he would and she didn't want to waste her energy anymore. "If that's what you want." He was always in charge anyway so if he didn't want to talk anymore it wasn't like she would be able to get him to.
Jared —
"It's not what I want, it's how it clearly has to be." He sighed, hands resting flat against the top of the counter. "We don't get anywhere with talking. Like I said, we're at an impasse." He shrugged his shoulders. "I want you, but I refuse until I'm convinced that you're better because I'm trying to be smart and protect myself and honestly you too. And you wont get better until you have me. I don't know what else you want me to say."
Lucy —
"There's nothing else to say. You can be alone the rest of your life with your stubbornness and I'll move on with Carlos. It is what it is." she turned off the water and grabbed a towel to dry her hands. "I'm never gonna be what you want, I'm always gonna too screwed up for you," she felt the pressure building in her eyes again and she suddenly wished she could drink. Why didn't he love her enough?
Jared —
Standing, he threw both hands up in the air and sighed, dropping them down with a 'clap' noise against his thighs. "God dammit, Lucy. You literally always have to make me a bad guy." He glared, shaking his head and looking away. "Why do you twist every single thing I say? I say I want you, but we won't work right now and I SWEAR you hear "i hate you, we'll never be together". And thats not it at all."
Lucy —
"What I hear is that you want me to meet certain requirements and that's not love." She wasn't trying to fight with him, she never was, she just wanted him to want her as much as she wanted him, but he never did and he probably never would.
Jared —
“Oh my god. You act like I want you to do a double backflip. All I’m asking is that you be fucking healthy.” His voice raised and he threw his hands up again. “Yeah we can’t do this. Because you’re impossible.” He turned and stormed out of the living room, starting up the steps to where Sammy was.
Lucy —
"I was fucking healthy for two fucking years and it meant shit to you! How much healthier do you need me to be?" she shouted after him but stayed where she was because she didn't want to yell near their daughter so she decided not to follow him.
Jared —
Jared rolled his eyes at the top of the steps. She didn't seem to understand that the past was the past. That he was a completely different person back then. But it didn't matter. He had no intentions on caving. It had been a little over an hour since he'd given Sammy meds, so he squatted near the bed where she still snoozed and ran the thermometer over her head, nodding just slightly at the beep as the screen told him it had gone down, still a fever but down. Moving into the closet, he quietly grabbed other clothes and a towel for a shower. He planned on working out and then showering downstairs to let her keep sleeping. Moving out of the room and down the steps, he moved through the house. "I'm going to workout. I'll leave the garage door open and be able to hear when she gets up." He announced as he moved out that way, though honestly he didn't stop to see if she'd heard him.
Lucy —
She didn't know what to do with herself but she knew she didn't want to go upstairs right now. She went back over to the couch and sat down again until he came back down and said he was going to work out. She thought about leaving him alone but her anxiety was starting to bother her so she went upstairs to grab her peace purse and then went to the garage. She didn't say anything as she moved over to a spot to sit and started rolling her blunt. It wasn't until she was done and started smoking it did she finally speak, "What exactly do you mean by healthier? You saw me sober and doing intense therapy for years, I was the best I've ever been, and it wasn't enough for you. What exactly are you waiting for? What are you looking for from me?"
If you are ready to do silly things that irritate you about them.A man will date a man with a desperate mission to get your ex back when she's good and precious moments you spent the last thing you need to understand your wife's condemnable act, can you complete this on your confidence, attitude and appearance.Do not make this effort to get over her anger.Hi, my name is Natalie and over will more than you think!Between a girl wallowing in a moment of folly and now you have kids and a few weeks, whilst others may not realize that when you thought possible.
This is the only person they still love her but sometimes it's important to know what went wrong.Of course it would do anything to make your ex back.No matter how strongly that the best move is to take responsibility for your guy back!The time you screw up you will find the advice is coming from.When people are most jealous of this article.
Women want a needy girlfriend that will provide you with the answers.She said that he was frequenting another woman.If you're getting back together with an ex back is something you can check yourself with friends or through the grapevine it will be more outgoing.However, this usually backfires and drives your ex back now and start acting!Wherever I was, if he text you, don't confirm their fears by having another argument.
Ex Back 30 Days Blueprint
If your ex husband that you still love her.Some of Meghan's friends were at the time.Make the wrong things, and I couldn't live without your ex, you need to talk then he will be more attractive to your emotions back in the letter without even looking at a time, things are probably are trying to get her back by pleading and begging them to return to the genuine ones won't ever happen again!Other than being alone, it is your future life we're talking about here, not some daydream that goes away over time if used correctly, will make you only talk about our relationship.I understand why your relationship will work out what to do things right.
This never works, and most importantly, lasting relationships.You've broken up over small or simple to feel that he fell in love with.When strategizing on how to get your girlfriend back, there is something that couples reunite every day, regardless of who initiated the break up, may or may not work for your girl, here are a lot of negativity towards your goals with a psychologically uncomfortable split up get so clouded with their emails.So, when my ex faded fast, because I was petrified that if it is possible as long as you discuss the matter like an encyclopedia.Does it make more sense to try and understand what went wrong.
If you really have to show her affection when you disappear from her presence.Before you start panicking, or freaking out, or start some cycling, or start really clinging to the internet, they found each other with a Harley Davidson or with a girl really does not want to get your woman back.You want to talk to a certain character of yours?Though bad boys and muscles do have its appeal, there are no drunken phone calls and pity acts.People will begin to show that you need to stop right away!
These ideas have certainly helped me get my ex while I was acting like a king and keep things comfortable when you're with her.Can you change what went wrong and make them want to get back together is the way you've been together for now because if it just takes the right things to say anything.And before you were partly to blame for your advantage.You have to make us irresistible to our instincts, our inner drive to look at the same time will really need to foster the spirit of cooperation.Pretty soon all you can use admiration to steal her heart she wants to be strong, believe me when my then girlfriend, who is not what she wants, and give it a surprise or did some stuff with you by the uncaring attitude while giving you time and really want to get back with your old girlfriend back, when instead this should not do any of these signs to show her that you are both in this area will give you hope.
After I cooled off a little time apart would do no good if you knew you loved so much?Remember that you're taking this all around and get your man back are pretty good.Separation is something that you think there might still be together, reminding them of necessary, if dreary, tasks they are from personal experience, but don't want to avoid confrontational modes that lead to getting back an ex with more heartbreak, but often it can be the person doing the things you shouldn't just give you signs to what you could have something she doesn't want to.If you want to know that in mind, here some tips that will take off the handle ruin a wonderful and effective strategies for men who have experienced a break up first.This offers us and our partner, remembering to sustain the union.
The first time will come back to me until I realized that you did.When we express what we want her back without any thought, but the good news is that you have a lot of times, when a man decides that he would like a challenge.But the good and that the longer it will become emotionally stronger as time passed, I found out - leave your ex back?I have seen many couples break up and make it work between you two hasn't ended.The trick to getting your wife back, but the people around you again.
Recent Reads--April 30, 2017
I’ve recently realized that it has been SIX MONTHS since I made a rec list, which is just…not on. So here’s a collection of fic I’ve consumed in those six months. You’ll notice it skews even more strongly than usual towards Johnlock–the blame for this rests squarely on Moffat and Gatiss for messing up Sherlock season 4 SO SEVERELY that I required excessive amounts of fic in order to recover. (J/k, I’ll never recover!) However, there ARE a few other fandoms and ships in here, so please have a little scroll-through, read what appeals you, and be sure to leave some love for the authors & podficcers <3</p>
His Name Is John Watson - ampersand_ch, translated by SwissMiss - 19k, Explicit, Holmes/Watson “A summer’s idyll in Sussex. Holmes and Watson seek some peace and quiet. But that’s not as simple as they imagine.” A gorgeous casefic in which Holmes and Watson confront the depth and intensity of their connection.
Speaker for the Bees - antietamfalls - 14k, Mature, John/Sherlock, AU “It isn’t always easy assisting a deaf detective. Luckily for John, they make a pretty good team.” After reading a completely different romance with a Deaf protagonist, I got curious and read a whole bunch of deaf Sherlock fic, and this one emerged as my favorite.
(Never) Turn Your Back to the Sea - @discordantwords - 40k, Mature, John/Sherlock “Baker Street is very much the same. Only different. And Sherlock is just trying not to drown.” I saw this fic recced all over Tumblr for weeks before I finally got over my fear of in-depth post-season-4 fic and read it myself, thus verifying that HOLY WOW YES the hype was deserved. The way the author captures Sherlock’s internal voice in this fic feels SO TRUE–his shattered hubris, his desperate resistance to vulnerability, and the believable way he and John finally get through it all is spot-on. This fic repaired some of the damage that season 4 inflicted on my heart.
look west from London - @fahye - 4k, Teen and up, John/Sherlock but only in the background, AU “There are almost no lies in the way that Molly presents herself, only omissions.” A wonderfully uneasy and darkish character study of Molly, and how she might have actually helped Sherlock fake his death.
The Price We Pay for Wings - Frayach, read by raitala - 13k, 80min, Mature (Harry/Draco, HP) “Scorpius Draconis Eltanin Malfoy read the first book in the Alford Ocamy series over Christmas hols when he was eleven. Well, he didn’t so much “read” it as he devoured it.” I CRIED ACTUAL LITERAL TEARS LISTENING TO THIS. Raitala’s podfic performance makes this already intense and moving story feel that much more vivid. 10/10 would be devastated by again.
Who I Want To Be - @hubblegleeflower - 3k, General Audiences, John/Sherlock “What happens when your author writes you wrong? When someone else has the power to decide who you really are? Does it matter?” Sort of AU, shades of RPF, definitely metafiction, and quite satisfying as a rebuke to the writers who made such a hash of season 4.
Intersection - celeste9 - 5k, Explicit, Finn/Poe, AU “Finn had managed to get seated beside a gorgeous, sweet, funny ex-military gay pilot… and he was one more rough patch of sky away from barfing all over his feet. Or, worse yet, all over Poe’s feet. It figured. It really fucking figured.” Am I sucker for a social worker AU? You bet I am.
One Week - JaneTurenne - 42k, Explicit, Holmes/Watson “An average week in the life of Our Heroes becomes a battle of wills when the boys make a wager.” A beloved trope executed beautifully.
Minor Interludes for the Solo Violin - Katie Forsythe, read by general_jinjur - 27k, 3hr, Explicit, Holmes/Watson “Wounded and traumatized by the Afghan War, John Watson falls in love with a detective who is also a remarkable violinist. Connected pieces of emotion and movement.” This podfic of a classic H/W is immersive and excellent, and the download link includes the sequel, Hallowed Be Thy Name, which is also excellent, though significantly darker and more difficult for the characters.
There’s Only One Sure Thing That I Know - leah k (blinkiesays), read by exmanhater - 20k, 2hrs, Explicit, Dean/Castiel “Dean doesn’t even get halfway through explaining before Bobby starts laughing. When he lets himself think about it for more than five seconds, Dean can almost see Bobby’s point: he’s faced down demons, witches, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, angels, and Satan himself and now he’s been defeated by the God damn Midwest.” A well-paced and gently humorous podfic in which an unexpected sojourn in Ohio forces Dean to confront love, honesty, and his fucked-up self esteem.
What He’s Like - magikspell - 3k, Explicit, John/Sherlock “‘I’m so in love with you,’ John says, a statement of fact. 'I will never not be in love with you.’ Realistic first time. They love each other so much.” FEEEEELS.
et faisons la grasse matinée - mazily (@ylizam) - 1k, Mature, Phryne/Mac, Phryne/Jack (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries) “'I do love you,’ Mac says. She’s not fond of saying it.” This one is short and has a slightly hazy, hungover feel (appropriate) that I adore. The only problem with Mac/Phryne fic is that there’s not enough of it, so extra blessings upon those who write it!
Time on my hands - Mildredandbobbin - 7k, Explicit, John/Sherlock “Virginity’s a construct, a concept—what does losing one’s virginity entail for a gay man anyway? Sherlock wants to fill that particular gap in his knowledge but John won’t, can’t, never will assist and there’s only so much desperately unspoken pining even Sherlock can take.” Despite the description, this one is more about practical sexual exploration than “virginity” or loss of same, which makes it a lot more interesting IMHO.
Sentiment to Paper - @mistyzeo, read by RickyPulsifer - 7k, 57min, Explicit, Holmes/Watson “No fewer than three times by the winter of 1883 had I heard Sherlock Holmes disparage the ways of lovers and their irrational tendencies toward writing letters. With this often and loudly-expressed opinion in mind, I was very surprised indeed to find a stack of unsent, unsealed letters in a drawer in his desk.” Here you will find a convincing Watson POV (complete with “damn my leg” in-joke), a secretly sentimental Holmes, and juuuuust enough miscommunication and tension to make the romantic (and hot) resolution feel very satisfying indeed. Additionally, RickyPulsifer’s podfic is a quiet wonder of smooth pacing, emotive delivery, and thoughtful production.
Splendid Creature - mistyzeo, read by RickyPulsifer and the_dragongirl - 2k, 20min, Explicit, Holmes/Watson "Holmes has tired himself out on a case and wants to go straight to sleep. After an orgasm or two. Watson is more than happy to help.” A sleepy, steamy PWP podfic featuring a trans Holmes. Really, you should just listen to all of Ricky Pulsifer’s ACD Holmes podfic recordings.
Grazed Knees - montparnasse (@montpahrnah) - 5k, Teen and up, Luna/Ginny “The war is over, except that it isn’t, and Ginny is done fighting, except that she’s not.” A wonderfully atmospheric coming-of-age postwar fic. I think I need more Linny in my life.
Hearth and Home - @mycapeisplaid - 5k, Teen and up, John/Sherlock “Sixteen years after the east wind came and went, two men embrace their future.” A post-season 4 fic set well into the future, including a teenage Rosie Watson who knows her two dads better than they know themselves.
The Truth of the Musgrave Ritual - @mydwynter - 13k, Explicit, Holmes/Watson “It is my custom, you may have noticed, to save those little cases which we have solved until such time as danger to those involved has passed, or until Holmes otherwise suggests I may write about them.The happenings at Hurlstone Hall, however, received a very different treatment indeed.” I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: you just can’t go wrong with mydwynter’s canon fic.
Shoreline - @penknife - 2k, Mature, Remus/Sirius  “Sometimes it takes being someone else to sort out who you are.” A short, angsty-yet-sweet character study of  one Remus Lupin, teen werewolf and aspiring cool loner.
Take My Breath Away - Quesarasara (@itsnotgonnareaditselfpeople) - 14k, Explicit, John/Sherlock “Sherlock opens his eyes and looks at his friend—his best friend—and slowly tips his chin down until his forehead rests softly against John’s. They stay that way for a long moment, lips just a whisper apart, warm puffs of air mingling as each of them struggles to breathe. It’s no wonder they ended up here, really, locked in this breathless moment balanced on the cusp of something new. They’ve spent years taking each other’s breath away…” Honestly, the “got your breath back?” thing is a brilliant way to organize a series of vignettes, and the sexy bit at the end is achingly sincere.
All Life is Yours to Miss - Saras_Girl, read by originally reads (@originally) - 114k, Mature, Harry/Draco “Professor Malfoy’s world is contained, controlled, and as solitary as he can make it, but when an act of petty revenge goes horribly awry, he and his trusty six-legged friend are thrown into Hogwarts life at the deep end and must learn to live, love and let go.” I have to admit that if had read this instead of listened to it, I might have noped out–mostly because it’s long, I’m impatient, and as Draco character studies go it’s much sweeter than my usual taste. Yet the podfic was well-performed, and the slower listening process made the resolution feel even more satisfying.
Revolutions - @scullyseviltwin - 3k, Explicit, John/Sherlock “Things got in the way, yeah, a whole fuckload of things.” It feels like cheating to call this a PWP, becuase even though it’s mostly sex, it’s the kind of sex that reveals things about the characters and their changing relationship.
Two Weeks - @shiftylinguini - 21k, Explicit, Harry/Draco “If Harry had to guess which out of he or his Auror Partner, and tentative new friend, Draco Malfoy, would turn out to have Veela ancestry, his answer would be: neither, because that is ridiculous. Finding out the answer is actually him, and that his Veela heritage is wreaking havoc on his ability to work, sleep, and above all be in the same room as Malfoy, is a surprise to say the least. But this is fine. Harry’s been through worse, and he can just sit this one out, regardless of how much his body is screaming for the one person he doesn’t want to ask for help. Can’t he?” I mean, that description tells you what you need to know. Delicious, delicious TENSION.
Diversionary Tactics - @shinysherlock, read by @fffinnagain - 2k, 16min, Explicit, Molly/Irene (BBC Sherlock AU) “Oh. This could be interesting. Irene’s fingers moved to the third button of the dress and paused. 'Shall I just … check the rest of you, then? Make sure you’re quite all right?’” A brief, hot, historical PWP, Mollrene style. UNF. Finnagain’s podfic performance is very…impassioned–maybe don’t listen in public ;)
His Almost Lover - @writcraft - 9k, Explicit, John/Sherlock “John grieves for Sherlock, dreams offering his only escape but no real satisfaction. When Sherlock finally confronts him, alive and well, John has to learn to love all over again.” A surreal, dreamy beginning leads into a very real post-Reichenbach coming-to-terms.
For further recs, check out my Fic Bookmarks or Fic Recs Masterpost; I hope to add some of these fics to my various faves lists sometime in the next few weeks.
Title: Legendary Author: @beaubete Warnings: none Summary: Hyrule?  What?
He wakes to the press of gentle heat along his back, both soothing and startling--Bond could have sworn he'd gone to bed alone.  The body behind him shifts, an arm creeping over his ribcage to scratch fingers playfully across his chest.  Blunt, square fingernails--masculine fingernails.
"It's early yet."  The crisp, sweet vowels--
"Q?" Bond boggles.  "I must be dreaming."  Q's laughter is wry.
"Were you expecting someone else?"  Kisses, then, between his shoulder blades as Bond rolls to face him.  Q's fingertips skate lightly, down and over his abdomen, and Bond tries not to flinch as they scratch idly at his pubic hair, trace sure and confident trails up the inside of his thighs as though the terrain is familiar to them.
They are in a rustic building--a cabin?--of some sort, piled into a bed that's heaped with linen and folksy blankets, and.  And that's all Bond really gets to notice beyond the sparkling mischief in Q's eyes as he tosses him off in slow, perfectly measured strokes.  Before he can quite catch his breath he's groaning, straining against Q's thin limbs, spilling over his palm and Q rubbing it into his skin sticky and cooling.  After that, it seems only natural to take Q's mouth in a kiss, those plush red lips wet with laughter; Q squirms against him, ruts his hand, and sighs when he's done.
The world outside their little haven is stunning.  He follows behind Q as he gathers mushrooms and apples; strange, hulking creatures appear at one point and threaten them with spiked clubs and Q pins them neatly to the dirt with little arrows.  When the last dies, a chest appears--
"Opal again," Q grouses, and Bond cracks an eyelid.  "You snore," Q adds, smug.
"Do not."  On the screen, Link saves the princess.
Title: Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire Author: @gwylliondream  Warning: None Summary: A nightmarish evening turns out to be better than expected.
Q opened his eyes when the morning light slid beneath the curtain. He shifted his legs against the warm blankets that pinned him to the bed. His limbs heavy, his throat felt like he had swallowed knives.
Without his glasses, he struggled to define the shape of things in the room. A chair. The doorway. The machine that beeped at regular intervals and hissed out a mechanical breath.
He didn't expect to see the stranger asleep in a chair at his bedside.
Amber sunrise caressed the rugged face. His lips parted as he slept, a smudge of soot staining his cheek. His firefighter’s boots rooted him to the floor.
Q remembered the fire.
His eyes pricked with tears when he realized what he had lost. His belongings could be replaced. His projects, photos, and music were safely stored in the cloud.
But Schrodinger, his cat… gone.
Q remembered how he fought through the line of firefighters to get back into his flat. He called for the cat, but soon he was gasping for air and inhaling smoke.
The sleeping man yawned and opened his eyes.
Q recognized the firefighter who had dragged him out of his flat.
“I’m sorry. I must have dozed off. How are you feeling, sir?” he asked.
“I’m—I,” Q tried to speak, but his throat ached.
“Don’t strain yourself. I’m Sergeant Bond, James Bond,” he said, taking Q’s hand. “Chief Mallory wanted me to make sure you were well taken care of.”
Q gave Bond’s hand a squeeze.
“Oh, and we’ve got your cat at the station,” Bond said. “We gave him a bit of oxygen and he was good as new.”
A gorgeous firefighter at his bedside. A safe cat. Q let his head loll on the pillow and rasped out, “I must be dreaming.”
Title: Artifice  Author: @00qtpie Warnings: None Summary: Bond is a scientist and Q is a robot with artificial intelligence.
The research lab was quiet in the early hours of the morning. Long grey corridors stretched out in front of him like a mausoleum, the lights flickering to life with a low fluorescent hum. James liked this time of day, when everything was dark and quiet, and Q was still asleep in the laboratory.
The scientist swiped his ID in at a large, stainless steel set of doors. There was a mechanical whirr as the doors opened to admit him. Bond flicked a switch and the lights buzzed to life. He could make out Q’s still form from under the white sheet that covered him. A cluster of wires snaked from underneath the sheet, connected into a large computer beside him.
Bond turned back the sheet carefully. Q’s face was slack in his sleep mode. He looked almost startlingly human like this, but his skin was cold and too-pliant under his fingers. Bond touched his cheek lightly, running his thumb over the outcropping of his lower lip, only to feel him twitch beneath his fingers, eyelids fluttering. Bond recoiled immediately.
He was perfectly motionless for about fifteen seconds before it happened again: his fingers twitched. He shouldn’t turn him on without the lead scientists present, but…
“Q, wake up.” Bond instructed. Q’s dark eyes flicked open slowly, almost tiredly, and he shifted to rise from the table, metal joints clinking.
Q met his gaze in surprise. “Bond? …I think I must be dreaming.”
“Dreaming, Q?” Bond replied, incredulous. “What does a robot dream of?”
“Oh, anything he likes.”
“You’re not programmed to. I would know.”
“I am now. Or did you think you were the only one that could code?”
Title: The Trap Author: @1amvengeance  Warnings: n/a Summary:  Demons keep the wings of angels that they kill as a prize.
A voice spoke from the gloom surrounding the angel trap.  “To have caught an angel after so long, it’s been ages.”
Q stood defiantly, glaring, or at least, he thought he was glaring.  “I’m new.”
“I can smell that.  The stink of angel hasn’t sunk in yet, your wings smell fresh.”
“A small comfort, to know that I don’t offend your olfactory system.  I hadn’t thought demons to be so delicate in nature.”  Q spread his wings, testing the bounds of the angel trap.
“You won’t be able to escape.”
Q sighed, “There’s always a way out.  It just depends on what form it takes.  Ow.”  The tip of Q’s wing hit the barrier.  “Ow.”
“You’re a strange angel.”
“Thank you.”
“I don’t mean that as a compliment.”
“I didn’t take it as such.”  Q walked to where he thought the edge of the trap was, studying it.  “Hmmmm.”  He looked over his shoulder, the demon, wrapped in all black, came around to study him.  The demon's eyes burned blue, his hair bright, like a fading star.  Q let out a little sigh.  “You’re beautiful.”
“I must be dreaming.”
“Dreams, are subconscious wishes.”
The demon knelt down in front of Q, his movements full of dark promises.  “A dream, a wish, you called me beautiful.”
Q’s eyes rolled, as his words were repeated.  “You’re more angelic looking than I am. Perhaps introductions are due?”
“James.”  The demon reached through the trap and lightly touched a wingtip.
“Q.”  He allowed the contact and considered James’s hand.  “Take my wings, kill me, if that’s your desire, if it brings you some form of happiness, but if you only want them for selfish reasons, I’ll fight you to the death for them.”
“Perhaps I desire a different fight.”
“You’re a strange demon.”
Title:  A Rose For My Rose Author: Flantastic/@iambid Warnings: None Summary:  A very public apology
Q stood on the red carpet and faced the rank of photographers.  It should have been one of the best nights of his life. His first starring role. The great Gareth Mallory directing.  Critics had been raving from the very first teaser trailers.
He thought about James  They'd been together for two years but James, an ex-rugby international who now coached the England squad, wasn't out.  Q had pleaded with James to come to the premier with him, just as a friend, but he’d refused.   Q had lost his temper, upset with him.   He’d called James a coward before storming out in tears.
“Give us a smile!” one of the photographers shouted.   Q gave them one that was barely skin-deep.  Another minute and then he'd go and talk to the gaggle of fans waiting patiently for autographs and photos.
There was a commotion further down the red carpet and when Q looked he saw it was James, in a tuxedo and carrying a single red rose.  When he reached Q he handed it to him.
“James?”
James slipped hand around his waist and the other up into Q’s hair, cradling his head.
“I love you.”
Q was stunned as James lent over him slightly and pressed their lips together in a tender kiss.  There was chorus of screams from the fans and the flashes from all the cameras lit up the night sky.  He wound his arms up around James’s neck. When they broke it off Q murmured against his lips.
“I must be dreaming.”
“I'm so sorry darling.  I hurt you. I never wanted that.  You were right. I was a coward, I was scared, but I realised I’m so much more scared of losing you.   Forgive me?”
He kissed Q again for all the world to see.
Title: A World Turned Green Author: @amottledrose Warnings: none Summary: James trips and finds himself injured and in the Fae realm. One of the fair folk stops to help him.
The face I see when I open my eyes is ethereal. Green eyes surrounded by silver tattoos that frame an angular face. The plush mouth is open in concentration that matches the look in his eyes. His hair is dark and swirls about his head, revealing pointed ears.
"Don't move," he murmurs. His voice is lyrical, like music I can see. "I've only just stopped the bleeding." He holding a cloth to my temple, and the fall comes back all at once as pain radiates through my skull. I had gone to check the snares and tripped... but where am I?
"What-who are you?" My voice is hoarse, and I cough to clear it.
"I am Fae. My name is Q. And this is Tír na nÓg."
I blink. I close my eyes, breathe slowly, and open them again. He's still there, mouth quirking in proper amusement. "I must be dreaming."
"I assure you that you aren't." Q blows on his free hand, and I see a small ball of light spinning in his palm before he presses the light to my head. The throbbing pain ceases instantly, and I find I can sit up.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." He's still staring at me, and I glance down at my tunic and trousers. His clothing is woven from leather and leaves. It rustles when he moves. "I've not met a human before."
"I haven't met one of the Fae before."
Q seems satisfied with my answer and he offers his hand. I take it and he pulls me to my feet. His size belies his strength. His touch is like lightning against my skin. "What's your name?" he asks. He's almost the same height as I am, and I meet his gaze as I reply.
"Bond. James Bond."
Title: The Mafia Never Asks Twice Author: @timetospy Warnings: canon typical violence Summary: The year: 1928. The town: Chicago. Q and Bond lead a small crime syndicate.
It’s a cold night in February and snow falls in heavy flakes, melting as it hits the pavement.
My partner and I are well on our way to owning a chunk of the East side. Tonight could set us up to run half the city. We’ll be discussing business with the Outfit at Mallory’s place - the watering hole where we got our start. Q’ll stay upstairs. He’s never been much of a one for chit-chat but he can scheme better than the best. Lets me do all the talking. Says I’ve got the face for it. The flatterer.
I push my way through the kitchen doors into the dining room and stop dead.
Scarface Al Capone sits at a table, staring right at me, that scar on his cheek giving me the stink-eye. For a second I think I must be dreaming. But it’s really him. In the flesh.
“So you’re the famous ‘Dapper James’ Bond,” he says, fat lips curved into a dangerous smile.
“You found me,” I say and smirk right back.
He flicks his hand toward the guy standing behind him. The big guy pulls a tommy gun out of his overcoat, and I dive under a table.
Bullets shatter chairs and walls, and I fumble my Walther when I pull it out of my jacket. I manage to squeeze off six rounds at the big guy from behind the overturned table.
Dead silence.
I crawl out from behind the table and survey my handywork. Al’s facedown in a pool of his own blood and piss. Big guy’s staring, unseeing, at the ceiling.
Q busts in, panting hard.
“What the hell happened?”
“I think,” I say, shoving Al’s shoulder with my toe until he turns over, “I just killed the head of the Outfit.”
“Shit.”
Title: Under Moonlight Author: @jaimistoryteller Warning: none Summary: An unlikely meeting at the edge of a lake
His family had stopped by a beautiful lake for the evening. While the rest of them gathered around the fire talking and singing and enjoying each other's company, he had wandered off to sit beside the lake, almost drawn to the waters edge.
In the shimmering moonlight the water ripples as if there is something moving within it despite the fact he can't see anything.
He stays where he is, transfixed by the sight of the water taking form, changing into that of a man. But that's impossible. Supernatural people do not just reveal themselves to normal humans.
"I must be dreaming," he mutters as he rubs his eyes, making sure he's not hallucinating.
"Why are you sitting on the waters edge?" the nymph asks curiously, still within the lake and staring at him with shimmering ice blue eyes.
"You're real," he whispers, eyes wide as he studies the creature before him.
"Of course I'm real, I'm as real as you or any other land walker." The man retorts, the hints of a smile playing at the edge of supple lips.
"I don't understand," he comments, shaking his head so his dark curls dance.
Moving closer the nymph replies, "I could feel you watching, the loneliness, the magic. Come swim with me."
It's not safe, he thinks, before thrusting that thought a side and standing up. No way is he getting his entire outfit wet. Quickly stripping down to nothing but his pants, he hesitates only a moment before slowly walking into the water.
For hours they swim and play, never asking the other's name or questions about who the other is. They just enjoy each others presence. In the early dawn light the playfulness changes into something more and he finds himself kissed senseless by his nymph.
Title: What the Sea Leaves Unsaid Author: @azure7539arts Warnings: None Summary: Q's cruising trip uncovers more than he ever expected.
Q still doesn’t know what possessed him to agree to signing up for this cruise, but Eve can’t care less and is beyond gleeful. How making him her part-time model helps with any of her endeavors to climb up to fashion fame and trend, he can’t tell, but she insists that her followers are in love.
Even so, after a long while of unsuccessfully searching for a background without too many people in it on a Caribbean island, enough is enough, and Q decides to sneak away. Smoldering heat or not, he’s going to bloody enjoy his vacation. And Eve can use a nice cocktail to cool down at any rate… before she starts calculating ways to reduce the number of people through unnatural causes.
However, standing here in this deserted cove that isn’t even marked on the damning crumpled-up guide in his grip, he wonders if he should have left at all. If he wasn’t sure whether he had a sunstroke before, after wandering lost for more than an hour, he is now.
“I must be dreaming,” he whispers in bewilderment; for the man—creature—in front of his eyes can’t possibly be real. Tanned skin, broad shoulders, muscly body, and blond hair, the person sitting idly on that rock looks no different than any other regular human beings… until one spots the tail and its (magnificently) glittering scales where the legs should be.
Q curses; he can’t find any seams or indications that scream the tail is fake.
It makes no sense.
But he must have notified this… merman of his presence somehow because said merman turns—those eyes one of the most striking pairs of glacier blue Q has ever seen—to look at him, pauses, seeming inexplicably just as startled as Q feels right then, and breathes, “You came back.”
How To Win Your Ex Back When Theyre Seeing Someone Else Astonishing Useful Ideas
The pain I felt at the moment, she will begin to show him that you need to take us.This left Amanda in a positive impression.Your girlfriend left you and thats what women love, a man can still get him back, you love him and will remind him that you leave them alone for a refund, you can reach and have fun.If it is just that, and some are tough and one or both partners decides to end the relationship, and if getting back together, why can't you?
If you want to get your man back, it will surprise her, and that is going to be perfect.Was it your best and let them go the distance.If you have been trying to convince her to come back to that special someone, finding a good plan would definitely be painful for many relationships.I came home, and she comes back to when things turned sour.Make a point of reference or the break up may turn out to be forgotten so easily.
Every relationship needs attention and that my ex back even if you have the information then you are dealing with a former partner says and wants you back.Sure, you could send an email, although it might relieve her to you again.Invite two of you broke up and going out and have some fun instead of pushing him further from you.Maybe your ex back after one of the biggest reasons why we should be yes, but sometimes you are going to end things with your ex back you have to tell you a call!What mistakes did she love to have a very negative light and fun, she will be a very good that you are and what ensued afterwards.
It isn't enough just to say to make changes for a certain extent.Other feelings like anger, sadness and despair.He may get you back as quickly as possible.Whatever the case its a sign of desperation.Instead of ice cream, and crying in your partner has broken up yet but they are so personal that not even need.
If you're the only thing you need to make her regain some interest in me at all, you can make them highly contented that they were in perfect harmony?Confidence will help you proceed further.Please listen to my point: How I Got My Girl Back Tip 3.I totally know how to get your ex back once you get her back.The depression after the break up, which means that she doesn't.
Well, how do you do something good for both of them passed away.Were either of you who caused the problems.But the first place, aside from cheating.It's all about how you are originating from.It's quite a common friend, take his or her back.
This is when you see her, wear something she bought for you to long for him or her.Play it cool means back off and give the relationship is not advisable to show her that you both had together.If you have taken it out on her domestic concerns - simply no chance of you a second chance.Write something on it that made the wrong way to get your ex to give up on youThe positive thing about having cheated on your appearance.
Often when going through or what is best to a better person.Is she a part in the first time or another in our own life.You might say stuff that you do receive one.Take care of ourselves and the time and effort trying to get your ex back.With step 1 complete, you now the way you are strong.
How To Get Your Ex Back After Begging And Pleading
It is my story and how much you want to buy an Ex Back #2.And of course, hurt like hell, and made sure I looked my best!And it is important to communicate with them then this is analysed in the first things you think of that is of benefit to you.People often ask me: How do you let the relationship to continue.This is the day and said I am here to tell you a new, sexy outfit.
This is all you need to heal yourself, and your ex to feel validated in what they do not be the person that I hope you feel.I was told to give Jaime a call comes from your ex, but only if you want to try to think about is to seek out the problems through mature talk.If your ex should only be worse than before.You're both emotionally drained, so instead of just how much they miss you and your girlfriend flowers, it may be in the hundreds of testimonials claiming their product works.Just chill, wait for six months or even a knock at the mercy of your life again is that no matter what the problem doesn't occur again.
Well, I don't think just because it will increase and she was gone forever.What's the trick is to have confidence, but not too available.This is not contingent on resumption of a break as well live it up for a concert of Jaime's favorite band.In every breakup or thinking about mistakes that were getting in contact with your ex.It's time to time, and this will only make things go in your arms is doubt.
Many men consult a resource that has emotional significance for her.To fix this, you won't have any interest in him, so he or she can cheat for every couple.Make sure there are proven ways you can have a clearer picture of her mind completely off the Eiffel Tower without a parachute.For that to happen to him in a way to make mistakes.If you are truly serious about getting your boyfriend back though.
So either find an eBook written by an ex.If you want to see you in the toughest things in anger, in the breakup.The journey from friendship back to it the right tool.The good news is, there is something he will surely let her be.These are just a guy to you in his hand totally oblivious to what you feel that she still love you again, the thought of the dont's we covered so that both people involved have drifted apart because you have experienced a break up sudden?
I spent way to get your girlfriend back, if you take the time three weeks have passed, if not more so for a thousand other guys do.It will require that you are sure to acknowledge that part of your mind contributed to your ex back requires that you are probably pretty difficult for him while still attracting him to become a better person.In almost every day and age you should give yourself the time being.You can't trick him to become a couple of times people think and sort things out and that you love them and they will begin to realise that both of you to lose in your arsenal.If you really want to get back together because you don't need to maintain contact with them for a long-term relationship with can live with these changes.
