I realize it's been an entire decade of a long journey. A journey out of toxic associations with people, work environments and building and working on my creative career intentions, all while managing motherhood.
There have been so many transitions and changes and lots of loss, letting go and grief. Quite frankly, I'm relieved to have moved on, having pushed through so much.
Right now, I need rest. I need slowness. I need a complete reset.
Today, I could not force myself out of a pause. A break. It was necessary.
Yes, I have work to do but instead what I did first was, have a healthy breakfast, go out to get sun and air, spent a while browsing in a store for creative supplies or things for home. Then, I came home to complete a remote task and watched a movie.
10 years of putting other things including work first is over. I have to make myself more of a priority. 💗
