Lily Evans had always hated her middle name. Jane is so boring. Why can’t it be something cool? Like Claire, or Grace, or even Anne. So, when she got to hogwarts, and was asked her name by another muggleborn girl called Mary, Lily impulsively said Lily Juniper Evans. Pretty. Unique. Perfect.

“Mr. ‘Steal your girl,’ then make her cry.” Young Sirius. No further explanation needed.

“Who’s gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames if we know the steps anyway?” After Sirius escapes from Azkaban.

“I thought I was better safe than starry eyed.” So Remus. Could be after The Prank or later on.

“I’ve felt a glow like this never before and ever since.” They were it for each other. No other love ever felt the same, before or after they got together, even after over a decade apart.

“Still alive, killing time at the cemetery. Never quite buried.” Remus could never stop loving Sirius in his mind, even as he was ‘killing time’ in Azkaban. So much of their time was wasted in those years, but their love was never quite buried. I think this line could also apply to how neither of them are able to let James and Lily go, no matter how much time has passed. They keep going back to their golden years, never quite having moved on.

“If you know it in one glimpse, it’s legendary. What we thought was for all time was momentary.” I think this could apply to wolfstar or just the marauders in general. They knew from the beginning that they should all be friends, and they left such a legendary legacy (something they prized). Going into the war, they were young and thought they were invincible in way, going on another adventure. They thought they would last forever. However, they were heartbreakingly momentary, whether you see this as Peter’s betrayal or how they all fell apart in the end.

Wow this got long. I love this song in the context of wolfstar/marauders. So many lines fit in this context, and these are only some of them.

Ok but have we thought of mtf Lily. James who saw her fiery red hair on the train and the only other people he's seen with hair like that were the Weasleys so he asks her if she's one of them. Lily, who is just starting to experiment with slightly longer hair but still having the boys uniform on thinks James was trying to insult her which is why she hates him at first.

James doesn't understand the hostility at all. He was just curious. Lily gets sorted into Gryffindor and she's dreading going into the boys dorm with James. Instead in a weird prank / attempt to make up by James, they discover she can go up the girls dorm stairs.

James never even saw her as a guy (cause hes an oblivious idiot) but from then on he's absolutely charmed and so damn curious. He's a bit blunt and insensitive at times because he's still learning. But he doesn't just ask about the trans stuff, he's curious about the muggle stuff too.

So when in fifth year Severus calls her a slur, the wizarding one and the trans one, James just fucking sees red.

Idk MtF Lily is such an underrated concept. We have FtM Regulus already

has larger shoulders than hips

really gangly, think a shorter version of remus

spreads wherever she sits

can climb up a tree in no time. there's a walnut tree that separates her bedroom from james' where they live, in wombourne, and she has to climb out her window in order to meet up with him in it

is actually extremely patient, that many years with five brothers made her like that

seems like a pretty harsh person, but she's just a tougher nut to crack. once you get to know her a little bit more, you turn to realize she's actually a really warm person

makes her friends gag gifts all of the time

actually had a little crush on euphemia

speaking of gifts, she loves making bracelets and giving them to them
