So I’ve been rereading Twilight and THIS.

People give Jasper a lot of crap sometimes but . . .

“Jasper and I looked at each other. He stood across the length of the entryway from me... being careful. "You're wrong, you know," he said quietly.

"What?" I gasped.

"I can feel what you're feeling now — and you are worth it."

"I'm not," I mumbled. "If anything happens to them, it will be for nothing."

"You're wrong," he repeated, smiling kindly at me.”

Pgs. 210-211 Chapter 19 The Hunt.

Jasper was suddenly beside Alice, closer to me than usual.

"Bella," he said in a suspiciously soothing voice. "You have nothing to worry about. You are completely safe here."

"I know that."

"Then why are you frightened?" he asked, confused. He might feel the tenor of my emotions, but he couldn't read the reasons behind them.

"You heard what Laurent said." My voice was just a whisper, but I was sure they could hear me. "He said James was lethal. What if something goes wrong, and they get separated? If something happens to any of them, Carlisle, Emmett... Edward..." I gulped. "If that wild female hurts Esme..." My voice had grown higher, a note of hysteria beginning to rise in it. "How could I live with myself when it's my fault? None of you should be risking yourselves for me —"

"Bella, Bella, stop," he interrupted me, his words pouring out so quickly they were hard to understand. "You're worrying about all the wrong things, Bella. Trust me on this — none of us are in jeopardy. You are under too much strain as it is; don't add to it with wholly unnecessary worries. Listen to me!" he ordered, for I had looked away. "Our family is strong. Our only fear is losing you."

Pgs. 213-214 Chapter 19 The Hunt

In the beginning of the story Jasper is unsure about having a human in the family, ready to kill her to end the threat even but he decides that if Alice can accept her then he can to, of course he must distance himself because of her blood, but he can try to make it work. Bella on the other hand is insecure, she thinks she isn’t good enough for someone as perfect as Edward and that she’s caused the Cullens nothing but trouble from the moment she caused Edward to almost expose them. So, when we see through Bella’s point of view Jasper’s distance is mistaken for dislike or at the very least disapproval but here we get to see that he doesn’t dislike her he’s happy for Edward and wants Bella to know that she is loved and welcomed and a valued important part of this family and that he thinks of her as part of the family too. I think this means a lot coming from him especially because he wasn’t really Team Bella at first. Maybe he doesn’t think she’s the most amazing thing ever to happen in this decade (no Bella hate) the way the rest of the Cullens (save for Rosalie) seem to, but he doesn’t think badly of her now that he knows she isn’t a threat. I think that with both of their reserved natures that they would be good friends. Since I haven’t seen a lot of Jasper and Bella brother and sister headcannons I’ll probably make some later. Anyway that’s the end of my rant, I just wanted to share some of my favourite parts of this great book with you all.

(Note, it’s been a while since I’ve read Midnight Sun and if I’m getting anything wrong let me know, this is just my interpretation from reading Twilight again.)

This was really fun to write. Reader is a vampire that's been with him for decades. Edward isn't moody and broody, he's in a happy relationship.

One thing that always managed to bring a smile to Edwards cold undead face was you. His mate. Decades into your relationship you somehow make the centuries old man still feel like a giddy teenager in his first relationship.

Even now, as he pulls into the garage at the Cullen house, you act as if its the first time you've ever seen him

"Hey hottie," your grin is teasing and although you're only just started, he's fighting back a laugh. "your should take me on a date sometime" you wink and spread your palm over his shoulder,biting your lip.

"maybe I should" he tries to sound cocky, like he usually is, but fails miserably. Grabbing your chin, he pulls you in for a big smooch and feels all warm and gooey inside.

You hand him a card. One with your number on it, he recognises, given that it's the one he uses most often, the one saved on his speed dial. He looks at you, only to be met with the sight on you walking away with a sway to your hips. Turning to the side, you gesture a phone with your hand and whisper a "call me"

It genuinely takes him a moment to compose himself, head down to hide the sunshine smile he's got right now.

Giggling like a school girl, he dials your number even though he knows youre upstairs in your shared room.

"hey hottie" he says this time when you pick up, listening to your laugh on the other side of the line and upstairs using his vampire hearing. "so when should I take you on this date, huh?"

‘And you’re still hungry for her’- Jasper Hale Headcannons!!

• A southern gentleman through and through. He greets those he likes (and who he can control himself around) with a smile and a ‘Well, Hello there.’ while tipping his imaginary cowboy hat.

• He says ma’am and sir even if he is 10x older than the person he is talking too.

• Did I say he was a gentleman? Jasper likes to hold the door for those behind him, waits for the person who is tying their shoe, listen to the person who was cut off in the middle of a conversation, offers his friends to stand under the umbrella with him while it pours down rain, offer to pay sometimes.

• When first being with you, he had to keep a distance for a long while. He wasn’t sure that he could handle himself and was scared of hurting you on accident. But with the help of Edward, Bella and Alice, he was able to spend more time with you and realize he won’t hurt you.

• One of his hobbies is playing baseball and he loves to have you watch him play, but he loves it more when he gets to teach you. His cold hands over your warm ones on the bat as Alice tosses the ball in your direction. Teaching you how to throw the ball with enough force to get it to hit hard.

• His body is absolutely freezing, so please bare with him when he touches you with his cold hands. The worst thing is when your cooking with Bella and he comes over with his cold hands offering to help, placing his hand on your shoulder.

• He smells like a lot of things, but the ones I can pick up on the most are pine wood, blood, rain, and old spice.

Why do I feel like Bella would lowkey hate that...

I think if Bella had a little sister she would feel left out or smothered by Bella. Left out in the sense that Bella always took control and disregarded her and smothered because she always acted like the parent because Renee was their flighty little friend and not their mom

Bella’s little sister would move to Forks with her and their dad and think she would finally get some freedom to be herself. She bonds with Charlie immediately and even though Bella doesn’t really want to bond like that she’s still jealous so she thinks the vamps and wolves are only hers but then she invites her sis to La Push where she runs into Leah and Bella is PRESSED about it

little sis is super into Leah right away and Leah tells her everything so quickly. lil sis doesn't care that Bella didn’t tell her anything, she understands but Bella's jaw clenches whenever its brought up because she thought that was her supernatural world that she wasn't going to share

lil sis doesn't even care she finally has someone that is for her and loves her and cherishes her but also treats her like she’s independent and strong, Leah lifts her up and praises her and gives her words of encouragement and forehead kisses as cute little rewards when she does good things

Leah would plan the cutest dates on the beach or picnics or hiking and if she got tired Leah would carry her wherever she needed, bridal style of piggyback

she and Leah would also be subtle PDA, like at bonfires she’s sitting between Leah's legs, one arm hooked under her knee with her cheek pressed to her kneecap while they listened to the legends, Leah would be stroking her hair or her arm/back loving, looking down at her like the sun shines out of her

Twilight Headcannon 3:

Blood lust is an emotion:

From what I can tell this is a relatively widespread headcannon anyway, but I believe that blood lust is an emotion.

This means that Jasper, with his gift of pathokinesis (ability to feel and manipulate emotions) can feel the bloodlust, from not only himself, but 6 other vampires (including Carlisle). To top it off, Bella is the singer to Edward, one of those 6, meaning the blood lust is heightened from him anyway.

This could mean that his control may not actually be that bad, but its because he can feel everyone else's blood list that it seems that way. It could mean that had he not had his gift, or even, had Edward not thrown Bella into the glass, he may have been able to control himself.

Personally? I think she's bisexual.

Bella's definitely into the ladies, but she appreciates her dudes across the board too much to not be into them (Bella talks about finding Edward, Jacob, Carlisle, Jasper all attractive).

The thing about headcanons though is they tend to stray into the territory of what people want, versus what's written in the text, and that's absolutely fine, great even.

It's not the point of this specific blog, but power to those who really really really want lesbian Bella Swan.

The cullens habbits

A/N- headcannons of what i think the cullens do in their free time. Little 18+ if you back up and squint. Cursing because I hate bella

Alice:

She and Renesme (wtf bella) like to bake because Renesme likes baked goods. Even though no one else has to eat. She also likes just dance, which emett makes fun of her for. She hold the record in the house. She LOVES true crime. Like, more than the average person.

Jasper:

Like a true cowboy, he will find a local ranch and works as a ranch hand. He feeds, washes, and rides the horses. All the horses have a bond with him, and he loves them like children. And, if it's a ranch that does lessons, he acually love teaching kids. When they ask about his ✨️battle scars✨️he says horses gave them. And he goes to the bating cages but just doesn't use his full strength. And, something tells me he has like an antique gun he takes to the middle of the woods and shoots beer cans and trees

Emett

He has an Xbox, a playstation, and a switch. So video games take up most of his time when he isn't with Rosaline. Also, he won't admit it, but he loves cheesy rom-coms, like netflix to hallmark he watches it all. Also, cop shows. Like every NCIS(the original, new Orleans, los Angeles, Hawaii) Chicago pd/fire/med, S.W.A.T, Hawai 5-0. All of it is memorized and seen every episode of every season at least twice.

Rosaline:

Who do you think got emett in to rom-coms. She's worse than him. She likes to indulge in her old dream of the perfect white picket fence, trophy wife fantasy. Her and Alice watch true crime together. She likes shopping and doing her makeup. Her and Renesme do skincare and spa days like every week even though they don't need it.

Esme:

She likes going out with Carlisle. Like the cutest shit ever. She picks up after everyone, not cause their lazy. She just likes it. She likes slow dancing, she'll turn on old 60's songs like the rightous brothers, the 77 band the police and just has a blast. She also likes lounging outside, because wether or not she can get a tan. It won't stop her from lounging outside till the sun goes down.

Carlisle

He will deep clean the house... for fun. Like, a serious germaphobe and has bad ocd. Like, in the novies there isnt mud in the house, I wonder why. Because dr. C makes it that way. But when he isnt cleaning he's with his wife. Date night, slow dance, old cheesy romance movie repeat. Or taking care if his problematic ass kids.

Edward:

Speaking of problematic ass kids. He watches Bella and Renesme like a fucking hawk. And when he's not doing that, he's doing bella. I'm half kidding. He likes reading old books that are more dust than books. And, making sure Jake keeps his distance from his daughter. Sometimes, he takes Bella and Renesme to Isle Esme for a vacation, where they can shine with no weird looks.

Bella:

I don't WANT to do this, but life isn't about wants. She practices her powers. And, she loves having girls' days with her sister in laws and daughter. She likes taking esme to extendes family houses, on edwards side. She calls her parents as often as she's allowed. Her and Emett restle because he was salty about losing to her when she turned.

Renesme:

She loves hanging out with her aunts and uncles. And, everytime their in Forks, she goes to see charlie because they have a healthier relationship than Charlie and Bella. He stopped questioning her growth after a while. She and Jake cuddle because, again, a HEATHY (ish) relationship once she isn't an actual child.

I HAVE A THEORY!

So we know of Jacob's character assassination in Eclipse and Breaking dawn and I have a explanation, a headcannon if you will, that Edward had Jasper use his emotional manipulation powers on Jacob throughout Eclipse.

Hear me out.

When we see Jacob for the first time in Eclipse, after actively avoid Bella after she returns from Italy, he's tell Bella information that Edward was DELIBERATELY HIDING FROM BELLA. (Victoria was in the area) Bella than CHOOSES Jacob over Edward and rides off on the motorcycle with him.(Hot girl shit, as you do).

At this point Jacob is still acting like New Moon Jacob. And after this Edward starts to sabotage Bella's attempts to go be with Jacob. Ie. Breaking her truck, taking her to Phoenix (yeah it was a 'gift' to get her out of Fork's so Victoria wouldn't get her while she was in the area but Jacob would have talked about it wit her earlier), having Alice actually kidnap her for a weekend when she had plans to do stuff with her friends and Jacob.

Edward sees that his direct attempts to remove Jacob from Bella's life is met is acceptance of them situations but overall will see them despite them, Bella gets Alice to let her call Jacob during the kidnapping part. And Bella gets upset with Edward.

So if he couldn't control this portion of the problem, he'll move onto the other.

Edward is a good manipulator, he manipulates Bella constantly. And he sees that these manipulation are starting to chip at their relationship so he shifts this towards Jacob.

And Jacob didn't have chance, he's a 16 year old newly changed werewolf dealing with anger-management only 20 years of therapy will help with. Going up against a 100+ year old mind-reading vampire with a family member who's whole deal is either damping or heightening another person's emotions.

Why would Jasper do this? Alice.

Alice WANTS Bella, she cannot wait for her to be a vampire and would have already made Bella a vampire if not for Edward whining. Alice cannot anticipate what will happen to Bella while she is still with Jacob cause werewolf protection. So Alice now would also want Jacob less in the picture.

Edward and Alice had Jasper use his powers on Jacob, heightening his emotions and feelings towards Bella and stroking that aggressive werewolf rage, brings us this sudden character shift from Jacob.

Pls, talk to me about this.

Cullen Cannon #5 Instagram

To protect their secret Carlisle and Esme don’t let the children post photos of themselves but that’s okay, here’s what they do instead.

ALICE: insta is mainly made up of her fashion designs and monthly zodiac predictions (idk what there actually called)

BELLA: would do a monthly book review and post quotes from her favourite books, mainly Jane Austen of course. She would also share any new recipes that she tried (the time she tried to make a TikTok unicorn cake for Renesmee . . . OOF)

CARLISLE: would post moving quotes from books and share historical trivia from his youth. Other than that he would probably leave insta alone.

EDWARD: posts piano covers and has a bunch of amazing mood boards and aesthetics.

EMMET: funny bible quotes, that’s it, just funny bible quotes. Also a crap ton of bear or vampire memes and jokes.

ESME: posts her paintings and models of houses as well as pictures of her garden and gives plant or interior design tips to anyone in need. Very wholesome.

JACOB: would have a running story of the cars he is restoring and like Esme would give tips to anyone in need.

JASPER: instagram is trending without him even trying. But he posts Esme's photos for her and a bunch of his drawings; he also does violin covers of pop songs or modern versions of classical ones. He’s super private though and only follows his family.

RENESMEE: I don’t really know, maybe she would have a photography blog or something like that.

I'm sorry if this bothers you in any way but I just wanted to ask for something with Jasper hale/Cullen from twilight and a human mate who is in musical theatre and they couldn't speak for a bit from singing a lot (like they lost their voice) and how his reaction would be? "Hello Darlin'" Jasper dips down to kiss the side of your head affectionately, a small smile on his face showing a glimpse of the dangerous while that hides just beneath. He tosses his coat over the pile in your room and practically hops onto the bed to lay next to you. He playfully snatches the book out of your hands, being nosy and skimming his eyes over the page.

"Somebo-dy's in a go-od mood" Your voice is horse and cracks painfully as you force it to work, attempting to match his tone despite the obvious discomfort, and Jasper's head snaps up to look at you. You plaster on a smile to cover up the grimace, eyes crinkling in a would-be-wince.

His eyebrow scrunch, but he remains silent for a moment.

"...Did you make sure to do your vocal warm ups before rehearsal today?"

You nod.

"Did you take a break like I've been telling you to do?" You nod. "Did you keep pushing when you knew your throat was at its limit?"

You hesitate

Jasper sighs, getting out of bed and leaving the room, only to return two minutes later with a nice hot drink for you. Placing it on the side, he holds your face in his hands and gives you a loving kiss on the forehead, "You need to take better care of yourself, darlin'. I know you love singing and theatre, but i love you and I need you to put you first" His voice is gentle as he scolds you, but you can quite literally feel hos love for you radiating off of him.

What if Edward had attacked instead of Jasper in New Moon?

I feel like this would have drastically sped up the plotline in New Moon. He would leave Bella, yes, under the pretense of disliking her or her not being good enough for him. But, Edward would immediately go to Volterra to kill himself. He wouldn't give Bella the chance to form a friendship with Jake or find out about the Wolves because he would immediately go to the Volturi requesting death.

Alice would see this in her vision, come get Bella so she could try to talk him out of it. It's an option that Alice might turn Bella into a vampire herself, just so that she's indestructible and Edward cannot harm her again.

We would not get the lovely Jake / Bella content I live for, we would not get any major info on the Pack, and Bella would likely end up a vampire by the end of the novel. Because she's a vampire the Volturi have no reason to investigate, she never has baby Resume.

We might get the Eclipse plotline of Victoria trying to kill her to avenge James, but that would likely be the last book in the series.
