What would the listeners bring as a good to a party/potluck/bbq in my opinion:
Angel: David made Mac n cheese with bacon and baked cheesy potatoes. Angel brought napkins :))
Sweetheart: tater tot casserole and jalapeño poppers, milo probably had to make them stop eating them in the car before they were all gone
Baabe: veggie plate with GOOD dip and veggie kebabs, they strike me as a fellow cauliflower lover
Darlin: stale pretzels and vodka. Sam brought some Apple fritters too
Sunshine: lemon tarts, orange tarts with caramelized peels they are gone very quickly
Freelancer: baklava and caprasi salad, specifically pear and walnut baklava Caelum helped
Lovely: lemonades and cold chili tofu , also a cute cups of blood for the vamps :)
Starlight: deviled eggs and cucumber rolls, they don’t really seem like the person to bring meats and they prolly love cucumber
Smartass: the grill champion!!! Burgers, chicken, hotdogs! Yes they’re competing with Aaron for grill privileges
Honey: pizza obv, watermelon and honeydew cups as well it’s Guys favorite fruit

November 28 — Desire for More
Current weight: 194.1
Pretty steady. Honestly, it’s a bit crazy to me that I can eat so little and only maintain my weight, not lose, knowing I work out and burn over 3,000 calories almost every day. The math isn’t mathing. But whatever. Clearly the numbers don’t lie, and noticing my mental chatter around how much I eat and my weight is also part of the process.
Another question that I’m turning my attention to more and more lately — What would make my life so great that food is the least interesting part of my day?
For me that would mean working as an artist full time and collaborating with talented professionals, traveling, leading the healthy lifestyle I already do and having great relationships with the people I love. I already do some of that, so I simply need to grow the other areas.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Monday, November 28:
Cold brew in the morning
Breakfast — Less than 1/2 of a chicken Cobb salad, Fuji apple
Iced coffee with coconut milk
Lunch — 2 jalapeño poppers with ranch (unplanned!)
Dinner — 1 slice of garlic bread with marinara, small personal deluxe pizza, kinder bueno candy bar (my joy meal this week)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today was great and also I’m exhausted. My body is still sore from the new workouts I’ve been doing, plus working for 4 days. I was ready to rest today.
I didn’t plan to eat the jalapeño poppers but our chef made some for the staff, and I checked in with my body and was actually hungry! So I decided it’s ok. Although, again, in the future I’m not going to eat anything unplanned at work, no matter how much I enjoy that food. Outside of that, I was actually hungry for most of the day until dinner! Which is so exciting. To me that says my program is working and my body is actually using the stored fat I have as energy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I also feel like I ate the perfect amount at dinner. At first, when my personal pizza arrived, I thought “that’s all?” Because I’m used to eating much larger portions, but I was satiated without being stuffed at the end. It worked out really well.
I planned my week last night and realized that with how little food my body actually desires, I won’t be able to fast anytime soon unless I’m willing to let my groceries go bad. So maybe I’ll just fast next Monday, because it’s pretty good for insulin and other hormones to do that every once in a while.
Another thing I’ve been noticing for a while now in this process is that I can be open to my desire for something and allow it. That’s easy. A bigger challenge comes in when I have something, such as a dessert or even a healthy food I like, and then I get intense cravings for more. I’ve gotten coached on it before. It’s totally OK to want more and not have it. Just something I’ve been noticing surface a lot lately.

Unleashing the Flavor of Chicken in Your Favorite Irresistible Snacks
Tumblr media
When it comes to snack time, there's something undeniably satisfying about sinking your teeth into a savory treat that's both delicious and satisfying. And what better way to elevate your snack game than by incorporating the versatile and flavorful ingredient: chicken. From creamy dips to crispy appetizers, chicken adds a touch of protein-packed goodness to any snack, making it a go-to option for those looking to indulge in something tasty yet wholesome. In this guide, we'll explore a variety of mouthwatering snack recipes that feature chicken as the star ingredient, perfect for satisfying your cravings and impressing your guests at any gathering or occasion.
Creating delicious snacks using chicken as a key ingredient opens up a world of culinary possibilities. From creamy dips to crispy appetizers, chicken can elevate snack time to new heights. One popular snack option is Buffalo Chicken Dip, a creamy and spicy concoction that combines shredded chicken, cream cheese, buffalo sauce, ranch dressing, and shredded cheese. Baked until bubbly, this dip is perfect for scooping up with tortilla chips or crunchy celery sticks.
For those craving something more substantial, Chicken Quesadillas are a surefire hit. These cheesy delights feature cooked chicken, shredded cheese, diced onions, and bell peppers sandwiched between flour tortillas. Cooked until golden brown and crispy, they're then sliced into wedges and served with salsa and sour cream for dipping.
If you're looking for a lighter option, Chicken Lettuce Wraps are a fantastic choice. Ground chicken is cooked with garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and hoisin sauce before being spooned into crisp lettuce leaves. Topped with chopped peanuts, green onions, and a drizzle of sriracha, these wraps pack a flavorful punch without weighing you down.
For a unique twist on a classic, try Chicken Avocado Roll-Ups. Mashed avocado is spread onto slices of deli chicken, seasoned with salt, pepper, and lime juice, then rolled up and secured with toothpicks. These portable snacks are perfect for on-the-go munching.
For a sweet and savory treat, Chicken and Waffle Sliders are hard to beat. Crispy chicken tenders are sandwiched between mini waffles, then drizzled with maple syrup for a touch of sweetness. Serve with a side of coleslaw for a complete meal in miniature form.
If you're hosting a party or gathering, Chicken Caesar Salad Cups are an elegant and easy-to-make appetizer. Mini phyllo cups are filled with chopped romaine lettuce, diced chicken, Parmesan cheese, and Caesar dressing, then garnished with croutons for added crunch.
For a hearty snack with a hint of spice, Chicken Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms are sure to please. Large mushrooms are filled with a mixture of cooked chicken sausage, breadcrumbs, garlic, and herbs before being baked until golden brown and delicious.
For an exotic twist on snack time, try Chicken Satay Skewers. Chicken strips are marinated in a mixture of coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, and curry powder before being threaded onto skewers and grilled to perfection. Serve with a side of peanut sauce for dipping.
Finally, for a fiery kick, Chicken Jalapeño Poppers are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Jalapeño peppers are halved and filled with a mixture of cream cheese, shredded chicken, and shredded cheddar cheese before being baked until bubbly and golden brown.
With these creative and delicious snack ideas, incorporating chicken into your recipes has never been easier or more enjoyable. Whether you're hosting a party or simply looking for a satisfying snack, these recipes are sure to satisfy your cravings and impress your guests. So why not add a little chicken to your snack repertoire and elevate your snacking experience to new heights? After all, with these mouthwatering recipes, the possibilities are endless.

November 27 — According to Plan
Current weight: 194.1
This is exciting! I’m totally on a roll. Losing weight while also working out and eating healthy, but not overeating is pretty cool. I feel strong, yet light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sunday, November 27:
Cold brew in the morning
Breakfast — 1/2 of a chicken Cobb salad (no croutons! Forgot to mention that yesterday)
Iced coffee with coconut milk at the start of my shift
Lunch — Jalapeño poppers: jalapeños with pimento cheese and bacon bits. So yummy!
Dinner — 1/2 of a Greek salad with blackened salmon, 63 hazelnuts (3 servings, I looked at the nutrition label and decided to actually count how many I’m having)
Today I ate absolutely everything according to plan. I was comfortably satiated after the morning salad, and I knew when I planned my food last night that I probably won’t get to feel hungry today after breakfast. And that’s alright!
Tumblr media
Another aspect of this program is getting comfortable with hunger and not treating it like an emergency. Especially after cutting out sugar and flour, we become fat adapted and our energy levels become more stable. So if I do get hungry, my body dines in and starts burning the stored fat I’ve been carrying around.
My main issue with this is that I get impatient and bored. Sometimes it takes so dang long for me to even feel any hunger! That’s been the most surprising aspect of this process for me. And yet, learning to be present with the boredom and all the thoughts and feelings that come up is the key to getting and maintaining my results.
I lovingly planned to be less hungry today and I’ll probably plan a lighter day of eating tomorrow. I also want to do a 24 hour fast within the next few days. I just want to time it in a way so that none of my food expires and goes to waste. Another thing I want to focus on more is getting enough sleep. It’s very important to well-being. I track it on my Fitbit and I rarely get 7 hours of sleep in a night. As much as I resent it right now, I’m going to incorporate more naps into my schedule. We make way better decisions when we’re well rested, and that’s when the body does its healing and recovery.
