Knuckles and Amy have special days where they hang out — which are 'Work Out Days' where they spend the day sparring and training together with snacks after, 'Cooking Days' where they bake and/or cook together as well as swap recipes, and 'Shopping Day' where they will go out shopping and usually will also do lunch. They never miss a single day when they schedule and Knuckles doesn't let anything ruin that day OR ELSE.

big beefy James who gets a little too drunk at a party and starts showing everyone his folder of photos of reader bc he misses them and is just so in love so sirius and remus call you to come pick him up and he’s clinging to r like a koala
sirius and remus should've expected this when james sucked down three long island iced teas.
they should've led him away from the bar and hidden the vodka from him. 'next time' sirius thinks as james fishes his phone from his pocket when marlene asked about you.
"she had some work to do," james says sadly, but taps at his phone screen. "but look at her!"
there's an album james has on his phone with just pictures of you. he'd upgraded the storage so he could keep taking candid and posed photos of you.
"look at how pretty she looks here, she'd gotten these new jeans and weren't sure about them."
remus shakes head as james goes through more photos- there's one of you laying in the sun by the pool at his parents' place, one of you eating ice cream, you in the snow in one his christmas sweaters, the list is endless.
"miss her, wish she could've come," he says with a forlorn look and remus can tell marlene is holding back some laughs.
sirius on the other hand is over james being lovesick and drunk so he calls you, speaking in hushed whispers lest james hears and plucks the phone from him- it's happened before.
you promise sirius you'll be there in ten minutes with a giggle and sirius can't help the smile on his face as he notes how lovesick you both are.
your arms hook around james' shoulders and he's about to tell you off when you whisper, "hi, loverboy."
his grin is wide and james practically melts under your touch. it's comical how such a big guy goes so soft, james has the faintest inkling that sirius will tease him for it in the morning.
he comes to find he doesn't really care as he says, "hi angel," sirius mock gags at the wet kiss james plants on you.
"ready to go home?" you ask, stroking the base of his neck. james nods, planting another kiss on you before standing up. he sways a little and then leans into you.
"bye boys, later marls," he says happily and you wave them goodbye while james tries to kiss you more as you walk out.
"bye sickos," sirius waves, remus leaning on his shoulder with tired eyes. "oh don't tell me you're gonna start now too moony."

warnings drunk!reader who is a little bit handsy and a lot in love, fem!reader, eddie pov, pure fluff, idiots in love, newly established relationship, some pet names (baby, teddy, handsome), implied of-age drinking, implied weed use

Face to the ceiling, heart not racing but close to it, Eddie's half adrift in a memory of you from a few days ago.
You'd been sitting on the floor by his dresser with your hair all pretty in your soft clothes, asking him questions nobody else has ever bothered to ask and listening to the answers like this: face tilted, eyes at attention but creased with a contentedness (or so he'd like to think) and your hands under your chin.
An honest to god angel.
He's snapped out of his thoughts by the shrill, near piercing ring of the phone. Panic spikes like a knife in his chest at the sound. He scrambles to pick up the receiver where it rests on the amp beside his bed, legs caught in the sheets and hand holding his weight on the bedroom floor.
He slams the phone against his face and winces at the undue force. "Yeah?"
His legs inch forward. The palm of his hand aches and he's eager to get off the phone before he falls off of the bed, so when nobody speaks he gets a smidge irritated.
"Hello? Henderson, if this is-"
"Hi," someone says.
"Who is this?"
A laugh that's most certainly yours echoes down the line. "It's me."
Eddie presses the phone closer to his ear, as if that'll somehow summon you.
Despite missing you, messing with you is his main prerogative at all times. "I don't know any me's, sorry. If that's-"
"Eddie," – more giggling — "it's me, Y/N."
"And why are you calling me at home?"
"You're incorr- incorrgi- incorribigle."
You hiccup.
Eddie's eyes blow wide and a smile made of what can only be called pure delight stretches over his face.
"Baby, are you drunk?" he asks.
"A little! Okay, a lottle."
"I thought you were only going for iced tea?" After all, it's a Sunday.
"A Long Island iced tea."
He can feel the blood rushing to his head. "What's the difference?"
"Vodka, rum, tequila, gin… Oh, and about three quarters of an ounce of triple sec!"
"That sounds like a party."
It sounds like you're close to, if not totally, wasted.
"Such a party! I have a slight problem, though?"
"What's that?"
"I can't find my jacket."
"What?"
"Or my t-shirt."
Eddie's arm finally buckles and he topples to the floor, cheek crushed to the rug and leg still twisted in blankets. He winces at the clatter and thump of his knees as he climbs into a sitting position, head tilted to one side, breath bated. When it's clear he hasn't disrupted Wayne's backwards sleeping schedule he brings the phone to his ear again.
You're midway through an explanation. Maybe. "–So I said who puts hot sauce there? That's maso-twisted!"
"Did somebody put hot sauce on you?" he asks worriedly.
"What? Eddie, are you even listening to me?"
He rubs his stinging cheek. "Bad connection."
"Anyhow, I'm too embarrassed to go back downstairs."
"Yeah? Listen, I can come and bring you something to wear. Are you still at Amanda's?"
"Would you? She doesn't have anything that fits me."
"Sure will," he says.
Really, he's dreading the idea. If there's one thing Eddie doesn't do it's parties. Preppy parties. But if you're walking around shirtless, isn't that, like, his boyfriend duty or something, to come and bring you clothes?
"You're the best! Do you still have my hoodie with the white flowers?"
He looks at said hoodie where it's balled suspiciously close to his pillow. "I'll find it."
"Yay."
"Hang tight, alright?"
"Okay. Hey, you'll never guess-"
"Babe, I have to hang up."
"Why?"
"'Why?'" His bemusement is obvious. "I'll explain when I get there."
He goes to put the phone down when you say his name with a startling amount of urgency.
"What?" he asks.
"I miss you."
He imagines you, half naked and in your giggling disarray at a random house. The want to take care of you grows and grows. "I miss you too. Now I really have to go."
"Okay bye," you say, and hang up.
Eddie parks the van, daunted. He hadn't realised what kind of party you meant when you'd asked him to come originally, and he's doubly glad he said no when he realises the sheer magnitude of it all. There's people everywhere and Eddie doesn't recognise a soul besides the stoners on the front lawn. He closes the van door behind himself and feels like he's just stepped onto another planet.
Eddie had tried to mitigate his own unpopularity growing up by spending as little time around his peers as possible. Something about his general existence seems to irritate and antagonise them, and Eddie's not one for the fuss of it. Or, he hadn't been. It's hard to play doormat forever, and by his third and final senior year he'd learned to take the offense instead.
It might not always work in his favour, but sticking up for himself has done a lot for his self-worth.
Almost as much as meeting you.
Eddie knows you're not gonna be standing around out front in the nude. He weaves through partygoers of all shapes and sizes with your hoodie thrown over his arm, the smell of beer like a cloud. He tries not to make eye contact with anyone as he slinks up the stairs, the pounding thump of music – not by his definition, but music – fading with each step.
There's a small line for the bathroom and two of three bedroom doors are open wide, likely pilfered. Eddie squints at the 'Stay Out' sign on the third and closed door, a skull and crossbones crudely drawn beside it, and grins. He's always been a rule breaker.
Pushing open the door, Eddie finds you crushed between a bookshelf and a twin-sized bed with a phone shaped like a racecar in your lap. You look like you're sleeping.
Your eyelashes flutter as he sits carefully in front of you.
He works his hand under your chin and lifts your head. He's gentle, worried you've summoned a crick in your neck from sleeping the way you have.
"Baby," he says softly, "you really shouldn't be by yourself like this."
He pushes his fingertips up to the highest point of your cheek and rubs the corner of your mouth with his thumb. You rouse slowly, as if suspended in jelly. He helps you lift your head.
"Hi," he says as your eyes open clearly.
"Hey," you say. Your eyes close again.
"Why are you on the floor?"
You tug against the phone. The line makes a snapping sound as it resists. "Can't reach from the bed. Wanted to…" you drift off. Eddie pats your cheek until you finish, "Stay in case you called me back."
"I don't know this number."
You drop the phone unceremoniously. "Oh."
Eddie feels bad for the phone's owner but doesn't pick it up. He's too busy stroking your cheek, trying to work you out of your shell so he can get you dressed and sleeping soundly in your bed, rather than on someone's younger brother's floor.
His affection has the opposite effect to what he'd wanted; you start to doze in his hand, pretty face scrunched up and chin slowly creeping toward your chest.
"I brought your hoodie," he says, pulling his hand away reluctantly.
"'M tired, Eds."
He softens like butter in the sun. "I know," he says, glad for the small privacy you've both been allowed. "Do you wanna go home?"
"With you?"
"Whatever you want."
You sit up with the most suffering groan Eddie has ever heard you make, arms lifting above your head. Your back arches a touch and you moan as your neck clicks.
Eddie looks at his lap with wide eyes, a blush rising thick and fast to his cheeks and the tips of his ears – he can feel the skin blooming with heat.
You're still very much shirtless.
"Where did your clothes go?" he asks.
You've more clarity about you as you settle. "I don't know."
"Did someone take them off of you?"
You must clock his fear. You sit up on your knees and take his ring-heavy hands into yours, fingers clumsy but well-meaning as they curl around his. "Nobody touched me. Teddy…" You smile and your eyes squint just so. "You worry too much."
"I actually worry the right amount. Where did your friends go?"
You drag his hands to your hips and place them with a high focus. He gives into your whims with his cheeks now fully pinked, hands cool over the warmth of your doughy flesh. Your stomach has rolled into a pouch from the way you're sitting and he resists the urge to lean down and kiss it, hit by a momentary lapse in judgement due to the pure, unadulterated adoration coursing through him.
You're cute.
Sitting here as you are, pupils blown and hair a lovable mess, all smiley and pretty and expectant, what else is there for him to do but take you in? He lets his eyes travel up the length of your navel, over the valley of your chest rising with each breath, and the curve of your smile until he's eye to eye with you.
You let his hands go and spread your arms. "Hug?"
Giving him no time to respond (though he would've said yes without question) you slide your arms over his shoulders and fall into his embrace. He supports you with a hand behind your back but otherwise remains where he is, happy to let you get comfortable, let you nuzzle your face against his and murmur to yourself too quietly for him to hear.
You smell nothing like iced tea, that's for sure. There's a distinct stick of alcohol lingering. He inhales the smell of you, that sharpness, and finds the softer, familiar scents of you underneath.
"This is nice."
He couldn't agree more. He drags the flat of his palm up your back and grins.
"I would've said yes if I knew parties were like this," he says.
You giggle, the sound overloud in his ear but never any less sweet. "Stick with me, babe, and every party is like this," you promise, an air of salaciousness to each word.
"Is that so?" he asks. He squeezes your hip until you're laughing again.
"Totally!"
"Do I have to get naked too, or is that just for the girls?"
"You definitely have to. I'm a feminist, you know? I'm about equality. Please."
"Take me out to dinner first," he mumbles.
You burst into laughter, a rush of abrupt sound. You cling to him as you do, your chest pressed hard into his and your face sliding into his frizzy curls.
"Dinner," you start when you've calmed, "that could be fun."
"You're hungry?"
"I wasn't until you mentioned it."
He pulls away from you reluctantly. You look as half-cut as you did when the hug began but your tiredness seems to have abated for now. Your adorableness remains as all encompassing as before, and he has to stroke down the length of your face with his hand to stop from aching.
You're lax at the affection. He traces the half circle under your eye with the side of a knuckle, the skin so soft it feels like silk.
"I'll get you whatever you want," Eddie says, and means it.
"Really?"
"If you get dressed."
"My arms don't work, handsome. You'll have to dress me."
"That so?"
You nod gravely.
He bites the inside of his lip to contain a smile and grabs your hoodie from under his thigh. He shakes it out and opens it up. You bend to push your head through first, cheering victoriously when your disorientated face appears.
What follows is a process in which he thinks maybe your arms have been replaced by spaghetti.
"No. No. Sweetheart, no, oh my god. What are you doing right now? You're not even trying," he says, giggling.
"Your laugh is the nicest sound in the world."
"I'll try and take you seriously when you can get your hands through your sleeves. How old are you, two?"
"And a half."
"Stay still. I'm gonna bunch 'em up."
He bunches your sleeves as he'd said and finds your hands to pull them through. He feels like this is what it must be like to dress a toddler, only the toddler is tall and too drunk to keep her head up for long amounts of time.
"And… There." He neatens your sleeves and collar. "Done. Good job, baby."
You beam wide enough to apple your cheeks and throw yourself into his lap all over again. He's surprised and bends from your weight, receiving you with a mixture of apprehension and glee.
"If you throw up on me we're gonna have to break up," he says, smoothing his hand over the back of your neck.
"Really?"
"No."
You can't stop laughing tonight. You giggle breathlessly and pull back enough to cup his cheek. Your hands are heavy but what you've lost in your inebriation you make up for in love; while your motor spatial skills have taken a heavy blow, your kisses are as syrupy as always. You kiss his cheek in an inelegant triangle and make these tiny, lovely sounds that give him butterflies.
Lips pressed to his face, you say, "You're my boy."
He feels shy in a way he hadn't realised he could as he brings his hands up your back to hold you.
"I'm your boy," he agrees.
There's a short silence where he breathes you in and rubs your shoulder. He'd missed you more than he realised.
"Want KFC? I'm paying."
He rolls his eyes and pushes you away from him gently. "Whatever you want."
You stand on unsteady feet. Eddie offers his arm and you stand hip to hip with him and let him hold you up. You're not so wobbly as to need as much help as he's giving but he doesn't mind and you like the connection, head dropped to his shoulder. He gets you past the bathroom queue and down the stairs, pausing at the coat rack where he spies your purse. You sway at the sudden stop.
The contents, to your unbelievable, infallible good luck, have been left alone. Even your loose cash. Eddie can't comprehend it.
"I told you before, I'm paying," you brag.
He chucks your chin, enamoured with your cocky smile. "You're soooo confident that I'm gonna let that happen."
Its always like this. Surrounded by people and somehow you might as well be the only two people in the room for how it feels.
Your answering laugh is loud and sympathetic. "Duh. I get away with everything all the time 'cos you have a crush on me."
You stride out of the open front door and onto the stone pathway bisecting the lawn. He catches your hand before you can get too far away and you spin to look at him.
You're walking backwards. Staggering, really, Eddie's hand the only thing keeping you upright as you croon, "You like me."
"Who told you that?"
"Nobody needed to tell me, I already knew. It's obvious."
He yanks you toward him and you huff into his chest. You're more giggle than girl tonight, gasping breathlessly as you threaten him. "Watch it!"
"You watch it. Who do you think you're talking to?" he jokes, staring down at you with a pretend scorn.
You pout and brush a loose curl behind his shoulder.
"Nothing to say?"
"Nothing to say to you."
"Really?"
"Nuh-uh."
"What's obvious about it?" he asks, leaning down until your noses touch. He blows a hot breath out of the corner of his mouth.
You squeeze his hand. "I'm tipsy–"
"Tipsy!"
"But I'm not stupid, Munson."
"You're going down the list tonight." You've called him everything. Eds, handsome, baby, Teddy, now Munson. He'd much prefer the second, third and fourth, but any name at all sounds like a pet name when you say it.
"Move, loser," someone says, shouldering him suddenly and roughly out of the way.
Eddie doesn't have time to think about it, he takes an unwilling step forward and you go back, too drunk to shriek. Your breath catches as your ankle twists and you trip and fall onto the small of your back. Unfortunately for Eddie, your hands are still twined together, and he falls into you like a domino, knees hitting damp grass and face smashed into the space above your shoulder.
He doesn't have the cushion of alcohol.
"Ow," he says, peeved. Not at you, but peeved all the same. He screws his eyes shut and sulks.
"Thought I had to buy you dinner first."
"Shit." Eddie springs up off of you. "Shit, I'm sorry. Are you okay?"
You stay lying in the grass. The party lights splash across your bare skin, pink and green and orange-yellow painting your lips and your nose and the curve of your neck.
"Why'd you do that?" you ask curiously.
"Some asshole pushed me." He looks over his shoulder for a culprit and finds no one.
"Like I believe that!"
"Stop laughing! This isn't funny. I think I might've winded you."
You grab him and dig your fingers into his hips. "With this skinny waist? Unlikely."
"Hey," he chides through a laugh, "what?"
"So trim."
"You're totally gone."
"Gone on you." You sit up and slide your hands under the fabric of his t-shirt.
"We're in public, perv."
"And?"
"Stop feeling me up."
"But this is the best part."
Eddie shivers at your cold fingers gracing the lines of his sides and then inward. You massage his abdomen with a feather-light touch.
"Nice," you murmur.
Eddie pushes you down into the grass and kisses you chastely. Then a little less than chaste. Nothing serious, he's not a sicko, but he just can't hold it in. To be liked in the way that you like him feels like a privilege he can't begin to deserve.
"Thanks for coming to pick me up," you say as your break apart, smiling at him fondly.
He rubs your foreheads together. "You definitely pulled me down with you. This is your fault."
"My bad," you say. Your flippancy drives him mad.
He kisses the corner of your mouth and then leaps off of you to half-carry you to the van.
Half an hour later in the bright fluorescents of KFC when you're covered in fried chicken grease and grass stains, you make a heart with your hands and hold it upto your face. "Smile, handsome. I'm taking a mental picture."
He smiles.

[Although you reciprocate Sanji's affection, you're not quite ready to let yourself be vulnerable with someone. Love, however, is patient - and Sanji is nothing if not loving.]
Enjoying my work? You can leave me a tip on Ko-Fi | Have a request?
Ningyo Archipelago earned its name from a rather tragic local legend: about a boy who fell in love with a mermaid, ningyo, but he was deathly afraid of the water. He stood on the shore, making a small step towards the sea each day. And the mermaid patiently waited for him, promising that he had nothing to be afraid of because she was looking out for him. Now, depending on who you ask, some of the villagers claim that the mermaid is still waiting for her lover while others are convinced they have already united. You're not quite sure which version you prefer.
At first, the myth seemed a bit cliche to you - undying, unconditional, selfless love. It belongs in a fairytale, along with leprechauns and a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. After all, no reasonable human is deluded enough to throw away their life for a love that may be. If Hell is paved with good intentions, then empty promises decorate its gates.
But your dismissal of the local legend quickly dissipates as guilt and longing tighten your chest:
Sanji.
You tried to keep him out at first, out of mercy for your own patchwork heart. Told yourself that each of his sweet words and skilfully crafted compliments were a consequence of his persona and not intimate feelings. But no matter how warily you guarded your heart, he still managed to find a way in. Some juvenile, innocent part of you wanted to welcome his affection with open arms, scream at the top of your lungs that you yearn for him in equal measure as he longs for you. However, the other aspect of you, the one that remembers the horrors you've seen and still feels the dread lingering under your skin after... well, everything - that part begs you to keep your feelings at bay or get a grip on yourself and quit this nonsense. What if you open up to Sanji and he finds you gruesome? Will he see your torn heart only to think its baggage too heavy? Or if... the history repeats itself.
No. Never. You can't let it happen again.
But then, you also can't live like this, hidden within yourself forever. You don't want to. Time goes on, yet you're stuck in place.
This fight with your own mind and soul has brought you to this quiet evening by the campfire. Archipelago's natives are most hospitable people, rejoicing at the handful of guests that have come to their shores. A night filled with delicacies, local moonshine, dances you knew no steps of. It all made for a heartfelt, happy celebration. Hours went by, soon energy dissipated and intoxication kicked in. One by one, both your friends and the natives fell asleep.
The last people standing are, as if fortune smiled down on the island, Sanji and you. He's sitting on the ground, back leaning against a log as he stares at the fire, thinking about something. Once in a while, he takes a sip of his drink. The light of untamted, yellow flames waltz across his face. Staring at him from afar, you wonder whether his hair would smell of campfire smoke if you snuggled to his side. Would the colour of his eyes turn closer to indigo in the darkness of the night?
You shake your head slightly. If you want to finally have this much-belated conversation with him, you need to think straight. You can fantasize about Sanji after he gives you a positive answer.
A playful smile enters Sanji's face when he notices you approaching. "Am I drunk or is that really an angel coming my way?" Despite the amount of alcohol he's consumed, he doesn't slur his words.
"More of a Devil's consort," you answer as you sit down next to him on the ground. Thankfully, your half-serious comment covers well your tension.
It's almost self-sabotage on your part that you sat a mere inch away from him. Something about his presence scrambles your thoughts, turning carefully prepared monologue into disjointed daydreams about the man next to you.
"You can lead me astray if you want," Sanji retorts in a low voice. If only he knew how much you'd love to.
Your breath hitches in your throat as your chest tightens further. Some primal fear residing in your bones tells you to run away, to discard the love you think you're feeling and stay in your safe, alienated shell. So what if he may be the best thing that has ever happened to you if this heartache he's bound to leave will surely be the final nail in your coffin.
"Right, about leading you..." you begin in a trembling voice.
The fear makes it hard to breathe, which doesn't escape Sanji's attention.
"What's going on, sweetheart?" he asks in a soft, concerned voice as his hand gently lays on top of yours.
You clench your other hand into a fist. The only way out of this situation is through and you're not sure if your both brave and strong enough to make the journey. Your fingernails will surely leave marks on the soft skin on the inside of you palm.
"I'm not oblivious to your advances, Sanji," you finally blurt out. The bluntness of your tone is a little too harsh than you wanted. "You're quite up-front about your feelings. And I..." you hang your voice. The words simply refuse to come out of your mouth as though a witch had put a curse on you.
"No, I get it," he nods along. Sanji's expression falls like he's about to crumble. He clenches his jaw before forcefully making himself continue in a sombre tone. "You don't like me in the same way. It's fine, really. I might die of a broken heart first but I'll be fine."
Dear Gods above and below, this is going way worse than your "What can go wrong?" scenario.
"It's not that, Sanji!" you exclaim suddenly. Equally quick you mumble an apology upon seeing Sanji's startled expression. Then, he furrows his eyebrows further, growing even more worried about you. The adoration and pain in his eyes break something in you. It's as if your consciousness has taken a step back and allowed a flood of words to spill out of your mouth. "I wish I could find the words to express how much you mean to me. That you're the only thing on my mind, day and night. But I've been through shit you don't even know about and I just... I think I need some time before we can act on our feelings."
We.
What a nice word. To be part of a union with another; to belong to someone. To never truly be alone.
The worry disappears from his beautiful, blue eyes. In turn, their expression becomes softer than you've ever seen. Sanji moves the hand that lay on top of yours to intertwine your fingers.
"I'll wait for you," he says casually, as though it's the most obvious thing in the world.
Although you did consider this as a possible outcome, you never actually believed he'd say that. You weren't prepared for someone to be selfless towards you. It's never happened before.
"You don't have to," you try to dismiss him. Everything will be easier, but not better, if he changes his mind. "The world is filled with amazing people, I'm sure there's someone else who will love you better."
"I've already found the one I had been looking for, sweetheart," he answers slowly. Sanji brings your hand up to his lips and places a fleeting, chaste kiss on your skin. The softness of it all makes you want to cry and claw your own heart out. Why does it feel so good and so frightening at the same time?
"I don't know how long it will take me to get comfortable and open up." Your throat is too tight to speak comfortably. Tears pool in your eyes. "To be vulnerable with you."
"I will wait for you for an eternity if I have to. Whatever you need, just ask, little love."
Why does he have to love you beyond reason? Why is it so easy for him to break down your walls?
"I'm not sure I'm worth all this trouble," you whisper your confession into the silence of the night.
"Don't ever think you're a burden," he reprimands you. "You deserve only the best and I will be the happiest man alive if you let me be the one to provide. I love you more than you can imagine. I want to spend the rest of my life proving it to you."
Having no strength to hold back, you burst into tears. Is it the relief that he's willing to put up with your fears? Or maybe the happiness that he still chooses to love you? It's hard to say. Your vision is blurry as tears roll down your cheeks. No matter how much you try to control yourself, you can't.
Sanji gently wipes away your tears. His gesture is almost fearful as though the worst thing he could do is force his affection too fast for your comfort. What if he hurts you? In Sanji's mind, there's no greater sin he could commit.
"Can I hold you?" he whispers his question.
"Yes, please," you manage to babble between sniffles.
He puts his hand under your knees and effortlessly places you across his lap. Sanji's arms wrap tightly around your quivering body. His hold feels like a sanctuary.
"Thank you for telling me," he says quietly against your hair. "It was very brave of you."
You don't answer, only further nuzzling into his shoulder. Huh... He does smell of campfire smoke.

So let's try again.
In DQ9, there are 3 gods:
Zenus: the God, the Great Architect, the Almighty.
Celestria: his daughter, later named Yggdrasil.
Corvus: simple angel gone rogue, took Zenus's place in the end game and is called the Mighty.
So chronogically, it starts with Zenus being disappointed in mortals because they're selfish, ungrateful, why is he even wasting time on them, so he tries to make apocalypse. His daughter blocks the attacks and announces mortal are worthy and she'll ~~hold her breath~~ transform into a tree until they prove it to him. So he builds the Observatory (flying island-building) and Celestrians (angels) tasked to take care of mortals.
So there are angels everywhere in towns, on the road, invisible and doing side quests like finding lost items and keeping monsters away from villages. Mortals make bubbles of gratitude energy and angels believe if they bring enough of these to Yggdrasil (who they ignore is the daughter of god), then god will allowed them to live forever in his realm and they'll all be retreated.
Your story begins as you're being tested by your mentor Aquila, who wants to trust you with guarding his assigned village, so he can go search his own mentor who disappeared 300 years ago. But when you passed the test, turns out you have brought the last required Benevolessence. The tree starts glowing and bearing Fyggs (wish granting fruits), the angels are happy to be finally retreated and they're going to see god in person! The magical flying train lands on the Observatory, but suddenly, dark rays coming from the mortal land and strike the Observatory, the train and the realm of the Almighty. You learn later that this attack harmed Zenus who split into 10 post game bosses you can beat again and again for your greatest pleasure. But also the train, the fruits and you fall. You loose your wings and aureola (which made you invisible and able to see benevolessence). You learn down there that the attack also caused earthquakes that put people in danger and agitated monsters (therefore victims of a god). Searching for a way to get back up, you find a fairy who's related to the train and you try to gather benevolessence to fuel the train. You manage to do that and Yggdrasil chooses to talk to you, saying you're a chosen one and you have to gather the fyggs before they harm anyone, because its magic goes wrong with mortal (take a note of this).
So your mission is to find people who made wishes that went inevitably wrong, make people renounce to them and you get the fruit back. Including a priest (Jack of Alltrades) who wants to guide his people better, but his fygg made him a monster who "convinces" people to obey through pain and fear. A fisherman (Dylan Jones) who died at sea and wished his orphan girl to be safe and he became a leviathan, worshipped and abused by his village, he had to fish for those lazy bastards. A rich orphan girl (Marion) who was very sick and had no friends, instead of wishing health she made her human sized copy doll alive to be her friend and died in the hour, and the doll tried to make friend with people who only pretended to be so they'd get her wealth, then she gets kidnapped, and this conversation happens https://youtu.be/GP8VyADuQ-c at 12:52, the doll gives up on her life because she can't make friends. Another victim of the fruit is a lizard pet (Drak) who fell in love with his human owner and his wish didn't transform him into a human, but a dragon who kidnaps his owner. The other fyggs didn't really have such tragic outcomes so anyway you are going back to the Observatory with the 7 fyggs, but on the way you meet Aquila, who attacks you (note, you're completely paralysed if you try to attack a fellow angel who's your superior. Remember that for later) and steals the fruits. More adventures later you get back to the Observatory where you learn Aquila did give the fruits. You go where Aquila has gone and turns out he's double agent for king Godwin who imprisoned Corvus, Aquila's mentor. He harms Aquila, you defeat him then he tries to kill you in his last breath, but Aquila protects you and dies. You freed Corvus who attacks you and you can't do anything, then he goes to the realm of the Almighty and claim his throne. You bring the fruits to Yggdrasil who transforms back, Celestria makes one more fruit out of all the friends you made on the way and tells you to wish to be mortal. You do it and go beat Corvus, who is now very demonic. But as you defeat him, his love interest who died and became a ghost 300 years before appears and he reverts to being an angel, and they go together to the afterlife. Back at the Observatory, Celestria says she makes all the angels (so not you since you're a mortal now) become stars in the sky (which is how after angel's death was described to you after Aquila died), she also destroys the Observatory, then she asks you to keep doing your job like an angel, but on the whole mortal realm, and the magical train brings you in the mortal world, then your mortality takes fully effect as you cease to see the train, your fairy friend, etc.
Then a fygg falls from the sky and if you follow it, the village with the leviathan has a real leviathan (not the girl's dad who is dead for good) who gives you the fruit. You're given the choice to eat it and if you refuse, the fairy hits you until you eat it. Reminder, you're a mortal and the fyggs don't grant correct wishes to mortals. And when you do, the only thing that changes is that you can see people like that fairy and stuff like the train.
So yeah pretty much everyone suffered from one or several gods, but especially the Celestrians and the mortals who found a fygg.
anon im obsessed w you?? wow. like seriously this is amazing
anyways whoa i might have to play dq9. god seems sucky i think its so funny that theyre called fyggs i cant believe aquila died go corvus meeting his dead girlfriend? i love that you become mortal i think its so fitting that angels become stars in the sky
anyways ill do a quick search on dq9 to gauge how popular it is before deciding whether it goes in the major or minor bracket but it definitely is guaranteed a slot!!

Headcanon about Troy and Talia being Siblings
FIRST AND FOREMOST: SWORD FIGHTS! These two will be having a normal afternoon, drinking tea, watching something, or even just showing each other things they find on their phones. Then out of no where, one of them will ask the other if they wanna train and they end up in the training room, sword fighting. Though Troy isn't an exclusive sword user, Talia takes it as a challenge that there can only be ONE sword user in the team.
If Troy needs/wants to buy a gift for Raven, Talia will be right behind him, ready to pay for whatever it is. This connects to the headcanon that she also helps him picking out the gifts for him.
Height difference. Though in the comic, the difference isn't evident, you cannot tell me that these two don't have a big height difference. Talia would be like 5'4" or 5'3" and Troy is at least 5'10" and he won't let Talia forget it. She'd try to reach something on a shelf on her tippy toes and Troy just grabs it for her with ease as he passes by.
And it's just Talia. Troy and Jess are the tallest ones in the group. And when it comes to reaching things on high places, they do one of two things to Talia (since she's the only one who can't fly and Jacqui is also one of the taller ones). They would either get it for her, or they lift her up by the waist so she can get it herself.
Troy would ask Talia (and the others) to help him train. So there are just times the team walks in on Troy doing push ups while Talia is sitting on his back with a book, sipping tea.
Small headcanon about Talia walking in on Raven sleeping on Troy's chest and Troy, who was already awake, signals her to keep quiet so his angel doesn't wake up. Talia signed if he wanted coffee and he said yes.
When she came back to give it to him, Raven wakes up to the smell and tries to take it but Troy pulls him back down and says he needs more sleep. Raven whines and Troy chuckles at it and asks Talia to get him some tea to help him calm down a bit. Talia rolls her eyes but does it anyway.
Troy's considerably the only one with a license to drive. So he's often the one who drives his team to go somewhere.
Whenever Troy's stressed or upset, he likes looking at the stars and mapping them on a piece of paper. And sometimes, he'd connect the stars to draw what he can see. So when Talia saw this, she gifted him with a telescope and a blank book.
Remember when I said Klarienne and Troy have a brother-sister relationship? The same goes for Talia and Raven (consistent with my headcanon that Raven and Damian act like siblings). So whenever Troy has to go away on a mission or just because his brother is calling for him back on the island, he assigns Talia to look after Raven. This leads to Talia absolutely SPOILING Raven.
Whenever Laurel is unavailable, Talia goes to Troy to recharge. She'd just walk into the room and plop herself onto Troy whether it's a hug from behind, or laying on top of him. Troy doesn't really mind it and pets her hair.

I know I just reblogged something about this (and I am Book Talking again) but as a lesbian, something I really wanted to represent in my trilogy that people can be neutral toward LGBT people, or even uncomfortable with them, and still be allies.
The setting in my world is viciously, horrendously homophobic. They literally send gay people to an island full of people-eating dogs. MC comes from another country that does not have such people-eating dog islands and thus is baffled by their homophobia, though she quickly gets the hint that she cannot openly hit on other women.
One of the characters is a straight woman who, upon finding out that the MC has a gay brother and brother-in-law, goes "yeah, there was a couple like that in my hometown. They were good people. Anytime someone tried to have them sent to the island, my dad would take care of it. I've got enough of my own stuff going on to worry about stuff like that."
Is she the perfect ally? No, of course not. She doesn't really advocate for the lesbian MC in any real capacity, nor does she go out of her way to encourage MC to get with her love interest. She's got her own stuff going on. It's none of her business. But when push comes to shove, and MC is in danger, she'll throw down because this is her friend being hurt - and that matters more than sexuality.
People can be also uncomfortable with LGBT people in a "I don't really want to see that" way and not be bad people. They don't know any better. They may have never interacted with a real life queer person before and have been programmed their whole life to hate us.
Another character is a straight man who just really, really doesn't like the idea of girls kissing. It makes him itchy, and he basically flees any time MC and her love interest show any sort of affection for one another. He hates the concept. But he, too, is willing to help and protect the MC because, beyond her sexuality, she is his friend.
Over time, as they get closer and start to understand one another better, he revises his concept of sexuality and slowly gets over his homophobia, to the point where he's willing to say that gay people can be heroic and admirable. He's not going to be wearing an ally pin, but he's also not going to call for all lesbians to be eaten by dogs.
These characters are not written as villains, because they're not. They're people who are shaped by their background and societal interpretations of issues, and they have the potential to improve. There's a good heart down there, even if it's cluttered by discrimination and homophobia.
If we lived in a better world, such passive homophobia would be our biggest issue, and we could work on boosting education in schools or, I don't know, starting a Tolerance Points system where you get free things if you give a thumbs up to two women kissing on the train. (That's a bad idea, don't listen to me.) But we, like the setting of my book, do not have a perfect world, and we need to focus on potential and "good enough" rather than "perfect angel ally."
This is what younger queers need to understand. Constant policing of language, demanding better than what people can give, just makes them hate you all the more.
You coming in guns blazing, screaming that they're a bigot, is not going to change their mind, it is just going to reinforce what they were taught. That we are all scary bad people who want to ruin their culture and pull a Reverse Uno to oppress them instead.
Of course, there are some people who are, quite simply, terrible. They will burn your house down for being gay. They'll beat you to death. They'll pass laws so you can't find a bathroom within five miles because you're trans. They'll show up at drag story hour in hopes of shooting the drag queens reading to children.
Those are the people who deserve our ire, our venom, because there is no way to fix that level of hatred, and their existence is a threat to us far more than our existence is to them. Not the person who uses outdated language with a good heart, or who freezes up when two men hold hands, or who says they really just don't care what trans people do as long as they wash their hands.
And honestly, isn't that we what really want in the end? To be seen as fine, normal, and unextraordinary. To be just another segment of society. The goal is to not even need advocacy anymore because we're no different than someone with brown eyes and blonde hair.
But if we want to get there, we cannot get in everyone's face and demand they march at Pride or they're a bigot. That is counterproductive.
If someone isn't calling for our execution, then we need to meet people where they are at and accept them as who they are, just as we want to be accepted as who we are. Sometimes we need to hold our tongue and not blow up at a microaggression because, frankly, it doesn't really matter. People can grow and change, but you need to give them the space to do so.
I know that's a lesson a lot of people don't want to learn, but you need to if you're going to survive in this tough old world.

Vineyard Remains
by Addison McKnight / 4 stars
(Expected publish date March 12, 2024)
I'm so lost on how I feel about this book. It's… difficult.
When Angel and her brother TJ are brought to live with her grandparents on Martha's Vineyard, their world has been turned upside down. Their father has just been murdered by their mother. Their grandmother changes their names to Angela and Thomas, to give them a new life.
Angela had always been fond of the island; they would spend summers there with their grandparents, and she was close to her cousin Kiki, who was only a year younger. Upon moving, Kiki's father (their father's brother) warns Kiki away from Angela, and it's almost easier to Kiki to hate Angela, who she'd been jealous of. Angela had gotten away from the island, and now that she's back, she gets to live with her rich grandparents, while Kiki is stuck alone with her abusive alcoholic father.
Both girls fall in love with Bo Brooks, the island's baseball star who's sure to make it to the major leagues. Angela dated him first, but when she moves away for college, Kiki move in. Bo loves Kiki and can't imagine leaving her, but he can't resist carrying on an affair with Angela when she's in town. Both girls end up pregnant with his child, and as luck would have it, both go into labor the same stormy night. Kiki well before her due date, due to her father's abuse when he found out she was pregnant. Angela's grandmother Kathleen is the only doctor available, and she opens the closed hospital, hoping help with arrive in time. None does, and when Kiki arrives later, Kathleen is forced to deliver both babies, leaving the girls alone and struggling more than she'd wished to. One girl goes home with a baby, one girl is sent to the psych ward convinced she'd heard her stillborn baby's cry.
The years that follow, Kiki struggles as a single mother. She's finally free of her father, but life is not good. She's still stuck on the island, left with Bo's indifference and his parents' cold disapproval. She spends years in a shed with the daughter she can't seem to feel close to. Angela struggles with her memories of the night, with the fear she'd done something awful to her child that she can't remember. Just like she can't remember clearly the night her father died.
I'll be honest - I struggled through the middle of this book. While the trauma they were raised with, and their continued experiences trying to survive, were dealt with expertly… I just didn't like them. Was I sympathetic to the trauma they faced? Did I wish for them to find better lives, absolutely! Instead, they were caught up on both wanting to keep Bo - who was in no way an ideal boyfriend. How either of them were attracted to him was beyond me, and the years they wasted in that pursuit, the pain caused by it… it made all three of them toxic.
One of the books I was close to not finishing, it might come as a surprise to why it's getting a 4 star rating from me. I think, in the end, it came down to the fact that while their problems didn't all magically go away, things did take a turn for the better. We did get answers - not ones that made everything ok. I severely disliked actions that were taken, to the point that I gave up on characters and thought them beyond redemption. Why should I care, when they instigated so much of their own suffering? However… I did find it very realistic. What both girls experienced, the trauma that shaped them, and their struggles to survive. To just be ok. Real life doesn't always have happy endings. You can't just wish things better. Instead, you have to work at it daily - and you're going to need help along the way.
If you enjoy realistic stories, stories of people who live with trauma and struggle to find their way. Of people who don't make the right choices, who some how seem to make that wrong step at every turn, this one is for you. If you like stories of the women who survive, who find themselves wanting to give every opportunity to those who come after them, this one is for you.

Watch "Silverchair - Tomorrow (US Version) (Official Video)" on YouTube
youtube
His clothes are pitiful you go around and singing about getting people and they don't pull their weight and they're not doing much at all these days it just causing problems and opening up Old wounds and telling people math and they're a bunch of suck bags and a shot all over the world to be shot on site
Dan it's not much better he's a moron. He likes to be a bully towards our son her son's a bully too and the guy can't figure it out and he gets bullied big time and does all sorts of stuff that we have him do. This is coming up but it's after a bunch of series of movies and TV shows but just doesn't seem that far away and for real we think that the rod is somewhere else and our son agrees it's not what people think is Talladega nights. It is the last very much longer and his men are all dying on the island and they are going after stuff but mostly they get killed for their asinine mean attitude and people shoot them dead for it and all over the world and it taught them to be jerks and people don't like them and they didn't kill quite a bit last night it was a huge bunch of them in Los Angeles causing trouble telling people to f off and yeah he's going to create a casino there and say it's New Vegas cuz he's an idiot wants to transform Los Angeles into a casino and steal the machines from Las Vegas and it started when the power went out because of Tommy and we're taking machines from there and our son and daughter know why and they say that's terrific, they couldn't be better it really is a nice thing and we are getting people signing on for that duty now. And he's been putting them into storage and he's been arrested for it but the group beat up since 300,000 people and all of them got beat up.
Unfortunately for him he eats the quarters and then he goes to hell and he takes the quarters from Mac Daddy and he's been doing it with a pillow sack and he's been doing it while our son was there. Miracles thinking of sun might be taking them this is no it's dan an a****** it's in the movie video. I looked into it and he saw him doing it on the video and was trying to arrest him it's a lot of money it's probably $500 each time and is that the girls were doing it and find out it was Mom's body and it's kind of getting horrified he saw the look at her son's face and it's horrified and her son says so what if I was taking her who cares and you know what Max Daddy I'm entitled to take it believe it or not go ask the president and the feds and the max. Looks around says she likes to rip me off and get away with it since I'm not taking it this more on next door that you just leave on top cuz you're smart. It says it gets it but doesn't understand it it says your puny if you want to get me money they can use you. And it being ripped off and you're blaming me what a gag. So you understand what he's saying this guy's blaming him for stealing stuff and he can take it and it shouldn't get in trouble because what these people are doing to him and Matt has tons of money and he's more on too and he's going to suffer because Dan is going to bother him and pester him and he really needs to. Anyways Dan has those quarters and they're down there near lake Okeechobee they're right down the street from Porky's and mac goes down there and tries to get the quarters. Several movies erupt one of them is Cool hand Luke and people think it's Trump gets arrested and it's not really. They do think of a stan now. And I think the guy running this Mac and he's pointing out with these assholes are doing and the boys school stuff. I'm starting to accuse him and he said I'm here doing a job and I'm showing you what it is and they stopped and they looked and it said he was nowhere near this thing and the screaming it. It's coming up shortly and yeah he goes to prison and he gets out he goes there try to escape many times finally he's shot and buried on site and the warlock couldn't take it anymore so you went out there was a huge Force and pull them out and they're getting hit the whole time and finally they said dan you're on your own because this trouble. This man was alone and you would not leave him alone and you're harassing the s*** out of him and he's valuable he told him he's on his own and cut loose his own kids too. So you wanders around town for a few days picking fights with people getting beat up finally he leaves and starts a rate of terror so he calls it and he comes one day or night and he takes the stone and someone else takes the other one and it's Trump and they have to use the machine and barely picks it up. But really these things are happening now and it's because of New Vegas and the guy can't figure out it's really being built he is as dumb as a horse it's been about 6 days and we did not put the towers in and it really takes about 10 days minimum we don't want to crack. We're going to publish and he hasn't figured it out so we're going to show him the other side of it

I'm back! And I have brought with me more unresolved angst! >:3c
It's one-sided Knuxadow - a quick peek into Shadow's pining little head. (Little does he know, it's also one-sided Rouguckles. Knuxouge? Idk)
--
The emotion coils tight around his heart, squeezing him until he feels like he can't breathe.
It makes his fingertips burn and his pulse run wild. It makes his mouth run dry and his legs weak, when all he wants to do is scream and run.
Instead, he clenches his fists. He swallows thickly and stays standing, mustering the ability to smile through his teeth and encourage his best friend to pursue the man he's fallen hopelessly in love with.
"Who knows," Shadow says, "maybe soon I'll be helping you pack your bags so you can live on Angel Island with him."
Rouge chuckles, but her cheeks redden at the idea of it. Shadow wants to squeeze her face until she stops looking so damn happy.
"I dunno. I'd have to convince him I'm not trying to steal his big beautiful emerald anymore, first," she replies, leaning close to the mirror on her vanity to apply eyeliner. "That big knucklehead is a stubborn one, for certain, but I've always liked a challenge."
Shadow can't help but think that Knuckles doesn't. He likes peace, and quiet. He likes it when things are easy and they make sense.
The coil tightens. Acid stings his throat, makes him want to spit venom until it clears. He swallows, because it isn't about him.
"How do I look?" Rouge asks, turning away and giving the hedgehog a dazzling smile. She's changed the style a little bit - instead of the classic wing, she angled it down to make her eyes look softer.
The bitter, nasty part of his mind wants him to find a flaw, or lie and tell her it doesn't look as good as her typical technique. The part that can't bear to hurt her tells the truth.
"Beautiful."
Somehow, her smile grows even wider, which drives home the fact that his opinion matters to her. He's relieved he chose not to be petty.
If he didn't view her as a familial figure, Shadow is sure he'd fawn all over Rouge. She turns heads everywhere she goes, and loves to do so. Rouge is a natural charmer that oozes confidence and romantic appeal. She walks and talks in a way that has you hanging off her every word, begging for more. Any mobian would be lucky to have her, which is why it hurts that much more.
He knows comparisons aren't fair, and yet as she walks out of her bedroom to go find her purse, Shadow is left sitting on the edge of her bed, silently pointing out the differences between them.
Where her decor is bright and shiny to reflect her interests and surprisingly vast hobbies (who knew she had the patience for macrame?), Shadow's room is plain and nearly devoid of signs of life. Where Rouge is always delighted to be the center of attention, Shadow will almost go out of his way to prevent receiving any.
Where she is loud, he is quiet. Where she is soft, he is rough. He is lacking in the areas she is abundant.
"Do you mind giving me a lift to the island, sweet pea?" Rouge calls, as he steps out into the hallway. "I can fly home afterwards, if you don't wanna stick around."
I wanna stick around, he thinks. But I know I won't be able to stand the way you look at him.
"I can come back again," he says instead, pulling the emerald he hangs onto most often from his quills. The shiny, green gem feels like a boulder in his palm. "Just let me know when you're ready to leave."
"Oh, aren't you a doll!" The bat grins and cups his cheek, giving it a gentle pinch. It's just as annoying as it is fond, and he can't find it in him to swat her away. "Thanks, sugar. I'm ready if you are."
He's not ready, but he nods. He reaches up and grasps her hand, then lifts the emerald between their bodies. Calling upon the energy stored within it is as easy as breathing - all he needs to do is visualize where he wants to go.
He thinks of a quiet, floating paradise. He thinks of warm, violet eyes. His mind quiets.
"Chaos Control."

Part Two: The First Date
Tumblr media
Summary: your crush on Bucky deepens and you have your first date.
Pairing: Beefy!Bucky X Reader
Warnings: Falling in love, fluffs, soft!Bucky 🥰
Word Count: 1,079
Author's Notes: Part two of the series Angel of Mine for @the-ss-horniest-book-club's Week of Love challenge 💜
Tumblr media
It was inevitable that your crush on Bucky would only grow stronger as the weeks passed by, the two of you ended up spending a lot of time together, getting to know each other's secrets, fears and dreams.
Like Wanda, Bucky had also become very close to you. When you weren't hanging out at the compound, the two of you would text each other and occasionally video chat because he 'needed to see an angelic face to be able to sleep'. He was a charmer no doubt, and you were falling for him so hard.
Everything about Bucky you loved, his laugh, his smile, even his corny jokes that you would find really funny. Wanda couldn't keep the smile off her face whenever you were in her room talking and gushing over him, she was happy for the two of you and told you that even Bucky was looking happier since he met you.
As your crush deepens, so does your feelings and he's the last person you think about before you go to sleep and the first one when you wake up. He was always on your mind, and you caught yourself smiling a lot of the time when you thought about him during the day.
It was equally the same situation for Bucky. He's never really had someone in his life he's grown so fond of, he's never had that special someone before. He sees himself settling down with you with a couple of kids, a dog, a lovely neat house not too far from the beach, his own office where he could work from home. He sees this daily, and the more time you spend together, the more he's finding himself in love with you.
And that's how Steve found him; sitting on the barstool in the kitchen, spaced out with a dopey grin on his face. If it was possible, Steve would be sure hearts would be floating out from those orbs of his. Steve sits down opposite him, pulling the newspaper from under his arm and waits for Bucky to come back down to earth.
When he eventually does after goodness how long, he's startled by the change of expression on Bucky's face. The once dopey-lovey look was replaced with worry and doubt.
"What's wrong pal?" Steve asks, setting down his newspaper and leaning forward.
"I just- I want to take Y/N out on a date but I don't know how to ask." Bucky sighs, pulling the skin off his lip.
"You could just ask her." Steve shrugs, offering a lopsided smile.
Bucky scoffs, "and get rejected like you did? I can't just ask Y/N that!" Bucky argues.
"Ask me what?" You say from the doorway of the kitchen, a small shy smile on your face as you watch Bucky become more nervous and shift in his seat, his expression is like a deer caught in headlights; wide and shocked.
"Uh, uh," he trails off, not knowing how to ask, he was nervous it was too soon, and that you would say no. To ease his nerves, you walked in and stepped behind him, wrapping your arms around his neck and resting your chin on his shoulder.
"Tell me, please." Your breath fans against his neck.
"I just wanted to ask if um, if you would maybe want to go with me? On a date."
Your heart leaps with joy and your grip tightens around him, "absolutely!" Bucky pushes the air from his lungs in relief and smiles.
"I'll come pick you up at 6pm?"
You gently press a kiss to his cheek, "sounds perfect." You answer, walking out of the kitchen with a grin while Bucky traces the spot where you kissed him, his skin still tingling from the softness of your lips.
Just as the evening rolls around, you're just as excited as a little kid on Christmas day. You've already taken the time to shower, dressed up smart but warm to contrast the harsh wintery months and Wanda even applied your makeup.
"Are you sure I look okay?" You ask Wanda, standing in front of the floor length mirror.
"You look perfect, he's going to love you even more!" She tells you, adjusting your necklace before a knuckle knocks on the door. Wanda goes to open it and smiles, she tells you Bucky is waiting for you and you nod, giving yourself a final once over.
Walking nervously over to the door, you stop in your tracks and gasp. He's clad in skintight black jeans and boots similar to the ones he was wearing the day after you met him, a black plaid shirt and a leather jacket.
"I feel underdressed." You chuckle, looking down at your sweater and leggings outfit. Bucky waves you off and holds out his hand for you to take.
"Don't be silly doll, you would look amazing wearing nothing but a trash bag." You throw your head back and laugh, the angelic sounds pull on Bucky's heart strings.
"Thank you." You shyly respond, loving the feeling of his warm hand in yours, "so, where are we headed?"
He grins down at you as you walk side by side, "I know the perfect place."
The perfect place Bucky had in mind was Coney Island, and it was just as he said, perfect. Walking around the game stalls hand in hand, it felt momentarily like you were an actual couple. Bucky had won you a few stuffies, and even bought food even after you had offered to pay.
"It's my treat doll. You buy the next dinner." He says, shoving his wallet back into his pocket.
You smile widely at that, your heart filled with joy with the possibility of more dates.
"There's going to be another?" You ask, still smiling.
"I would hope so, I really like you doll." He blushes, and you giggle when his straw gets suctioned onto his lip and he pulls it off with a 'pop'.
"I really like you too. You make me feel really happy." You tell him, extending your hand across the wooden table.
"You make me really happy too. The happiest I've felt in a long, long time." You stare lovingly into each other's eyes when his suddenly averts over your shoulder, "ooh wanna go on the Ferris wheel?" He beams and it's impossible to say no, "I'll protect you when we reach the top." He promises, taking your hand and pulling you to the large wheel.

Aaaaaa Thank You so much for the looooooooooooong wait! I was too occupied and writer's block makes me tired more than ever 😭. Thank you so much for the request @ashavazesa ❤❤❤❤❤
A/N: I don't really take ALL Southeast Asia countries in this as I'm not really familiar with it. If you have questions regarding the culture, you may PM me or comment here ❤. Or you may google it, especially Butod 😏.
Lords x Southeast Asia Culture
Nobunaga - Hungry Ghost Festival (Malaysia / Singapore)
-It is a festival to honor the dead and so the gate from hell is opened.
-Mitsuhide: Most probably when the gate from hell is open, there will be Hideyoshi, practically running here and there upon his arrival ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^).
-Masamune: Exactly. With the red carpet and rose petals. Heh.
-Hideyoshi: ಠ_ಠ.... Still- Nobunaga-sama's presence itself is majestic, so I have to agree with both of you *cough*
-Mitsunari: But I don't understand.. Hideyoshi-sama is kind, why would he be in hell (´;д;`)?
-Hideyoshi: Now, now, Mitsunari. Not everyone will go to heaven easily.
-Mitsuhide: Indeed. One of the main reasons why he goes to hell is because he sister-zoned every maiden in the world.
-Hideyoshi: H E Y ( ☉д⊙)!
-Back to Nobunaga: I demand my offering to be a pack of armies, thousands of konpeitos, and MC's candid pictures 😏😏😏😏.
-Shingen: How indecent. To hell with you 😒.
-Kennyo: Go somewhere else, don't take my place 😒.
-Nobunaga: Excuse me? Hell would not be yours as I am the Demon King
-Kennyo: Excuse you 😒. My sin is bigger than yours.
-MC: Is it me or is this a White Girls Sengoku Version ಠ_ಠ?
-Ieyasu: ...Why would anyone want to fight over hell in the first place =_=?
Hideyoshi - Everyone is Addressed as Boss / Uncle / Aunty (Malaysia)
-So he went to a restaurant..
-"Boss. What do you want to order?"
-He look left. And right.
-"Eh Boss. You want to order or not?"
-"Huh? M-me??"
-Then he went to a public place, and his wallet fell from his pocket,
-"Uncle. Excuse me."
-Uncle-- WHAT- He is not THAT OLD-- "Wh- Wha??"
-"Aiya Uncle. Your wallet. Later people take your money how?"
-"Uh--" What kind of language is that anyway??
-Sasuke: If you are wondering what kind of language they speak, it is called as 'Manglish', Hideyoshi-san.
-Hideyoshi: Ma- Ma what?
-Sasuke: Manglish. Malaysian + English casual ways of talking to someone.
-Random person: Eh Boss, excuse me. Do you want to enter or not? If not please move lah! You are blocking the door!
-Hideyoshi: ........*Stressed 101*
Masamune - Butod (Sago Grub) (Malaysia - Sabah)
-Le butod: *Wiggle wiggle wiggle* OwO
-And MC: *FAINTS*
-"So this is a.. Grub from sago tree, you say? And it is recommended to be eaten raw."
-"It looks like MC when she was struggling to get away from my grip when I try to kiss her."
-MC, who has fainted, woke up "Excuse me?? Are you saying that I am-"
-Butod: *Wiggle Wiggle on Masamune's Palm* OwO
-MC: *gasssppp* 😱😱😱😱 YOU..! DON'T TOUCH ME WITH THAT HAND TONIGHT ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥A˂̣̣̥ )‧º·˚!
-Masamune: Eeeeh but why? *Pulls its head and eat it raw* Hmm.. Taste like chicken.
-MC: .....*Takes a bottle of sake and shove it into his mouth* Wash it down with this! WASH IT WITH T H I S!
-Masamune: MMMMF 😵😵😵😵!!
Mitsuhide - Chinese New Year Celebrations (Malaysia / Singapore)
-He was offered with lots of CNY treats and of course, he ate it without refusing it.
-Only to get the bewildered reactions from the people around him when he mixed the rice + fish + dumplings + sweet rice balls + spring rolls + glutinous rice cake in one bowl and eat it like nobody's business.
-Hideyoshi: Even if you can't taste it, don't eat it in that way ( ☉д⊙)!!
-"Why Hideyoshi? This foods represents luck, you see. I need this luck so I can always escape from your endless 'love' ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)."
-Learned about Ang Pow.
-"So you will give away money if you are married, and will receive it if you are not married. I see..."
-MC: What's wrong, Mitsuhide?
-"Hmm? Oh, I was just concerned about Hideyoshi. Because he will give away Ang Pows throughout his life." *Shakes his head* "That's what he gets when he sister-zoned everyone."
-Hideyoshi: ʕʘ̅͜ʘ̅ʔ.....
Ieyasu - Sambal (Hot Relish made with veggies / fruits and spices) (Indonesia)
-At first he was skeptical.
-Until he put some in his dish.
-Cues Ieyasu hugging the Sambal Jar.
-Growls when Masamune said "Can I have a look what they put inside-- Hey, hey, I said I want to have a look, not that I will eat it, lad. Calm down."
-Nobunaga, the usual demon on your shoulder: It's that precious, hmm? So you'd rather choose that than MC?
-MC: Please don't make me an option between food, Nobunaga ಠ_ಠ.
-Mitsuhide: Or maybe.. You can eat her by pouring all over her ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)?
-MC: I will become a living swollen red bell pepper, no thanks (눈‸눈).
Mitsunari - Vietnam and the amount of motorcyclists on the road (Vietnam)
-The gangs be all flustered with their surroundings, especially Hideyoshi.
-"Stay close, all of you! It's dangerous!"
-Masamune & Mitsuhide: Yes mom ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)~
-Hideyoshi: Who is your MOM ( ☉д⊙)??
-Sasuke: It's alright, they say you can cross it casually as they will automatically avoid you.
-Hideyoshi: Impossible, isn't it dangerous? Besides, it's too close one after another!
-Sasuke: Here, let me give you an example. *Gives Mitsunari a book and whispered "You may cross now."*
-Our pure angel be like "O3O ooooh~~" And there he goes, walking straight ahead, with head buried in a book.
-Meanwhile, Hideyoshi: *Were pulled by both Masa and Mitsuhide* GAHH LET GO OF ME! MITSUNARIIIII \(Q A Q)/!!!! *GASP* NOOO NOBUNAGA-SAMA DON'T CROSS THE ROAD WHILE EATING YOUR KONPEITOOO!!!
-And Ieyasu, who has been watching Mitsunari who crossed the road safely to the other side: TCH. There's no one that hit him (•ˋ _ ˊ•).
Kenshin: 5 People on one Motorcycle (Indonesia)
-The first thing that he ask Sasuke was...
-"What is that?"
-Sasuke: Oh, as you can see, Kenshin-sama. Some people from a poor family will ride their motorcycle altogether as one. And so,.. Kenshin-sama?
-"Bringing the motorcycle back to the past would cause unnecessary scene, but an idea of 5 people in one ride is not bad. Hm."
-"Imagine, when you go to the battlefield, with 5 people in one horse, you can kill 5 people at one time."
-"Also, if they bring sake supplies, and 1 person hold one sake each, and there's 10 horses, I would've get 500 bottles in an hour."
-Them: ........
-Sasuke: Can't do, Kenshin-sama. Please pity our horse and if you work here, in this era, please don't be a math teacher. You will give a bad example in your class.
-Kenshin: Don't stop what I want to do, Sasuke (눈‸눈). Fine. Let's change that 5 person into me, and the killed people to Shingen instead. So it will be 5 of me, killing Shingen in one strike.
-Shingen: Psssh. If I were you, there will be 5 of me on one horse, so all of us can kiss MC in one go 😏✨✨✨.
-Yukimura: PLEASE STOP GAH MY BRAIN @A@
Shingen - Thailands... and their Kathoey (Thailand)
-Welp. His eyebrows wouldn't stop wiggling here and there to every pretty woman that he spotted.
-'Woman'. Heh.
-Sasuke about to warn him but Kenshin hold him back.
-"Let's teach him a lesson." He said. "It will be interesting." He said.
-And so they go to one place for dinner, when they were surrounded by a bunch of pretty women.
-"Hey handsome~~ wanna have fun with us?"
-Yukimura: Eh- uh- eh- I- I- o//////o
-"Oh come on~~~ *grope*"
-Yukimura: *Genuine Girlish Voice* KYAAAAAAAAA!!! *Fainted with foams*
-Shingen: Now, now, you girls are pretty attempting, but we need to fill our empty stomachs first, you see?
-He was occupied in talking to the girls when Sasuke whispered something to one of them without him realizing it. Then the girl went to Shingen's side, hugging his arm, "Please~ have fun with us~~ I will give you a reward if you say 'Yes'~"
-Shingen, playing along: Oooh? What would that be?
-Le girl, changing her voice into a manly one, "A lick of my lollipop, bro."
-And he fainted next to Yukimura. With foams in his mouth too.
Yukimura - Bali and their.... 'Souvenirs' (Indonesia)
-The first thing that came out from his mouth when he arrived at Bali is "Wh- wh- wh- r-romantic island?? Wh- who would show their intimacy in public--"
-*Shriek to a statue with a peculiar s*x position*
-*Shriek to almost everything*
-*Got stuck in one place until Sasuke had to pulled him out from the shop*
-Sasuke: Forgive me, bro. It's Shingen-sama's idea to enter this shop. It's normal for you to be culture shocked as one of their famous souvenirs is wee wee keychains (´・д・`).
-"Don't say that casually OAO!"
-MC, takes one wee wee display and called out for him, "Yukimura~ come here for a sec. Look! Your wee wee (✿❛◡❛)!"
-"MMMMMCCCCCC ୧( ಠ////Д////ಠ )୨!!!!"
-Also Yukimura: *Gasp* This shop sells your kind! *Points at the restaurant that displays Rolling Pig*
-Scene of Yukimura got slapped by MC unfolds.
Sasuke - Sarawak's Blowpipe (Malaysia - Sarawak)
-Tour guide: One of the ethnicities in Sarawak is Iban people. They are known to hunt their prey with a blowpipe, which contained with a poison-coated needle.
-Sasuke: Oooh. *looks at the blowpipe* It's like detective conan but a poisoned needle ones (´・д・`)✨✨✨
-Tour guide:
-Others:
-Tour guide: Would you like to give a try?
-Sasuke: Yes please (´・д・`)✨✨✨ which target should I shoot it with?
-Tour guide: The balloon, next to the pole in front of you ☺.
-Sasuke: Okay. *Takes a deep breath*
-Kenshin:.......*monotonous voice* Ah, a mosquito. *Kicks Shingen to make him land in front of Sasuke*
-Shingen: H-Hey-- OAO
-Sasuke: Mmf- *Instantly pushed the pipe to shoot something else*
-*Stab*
-Mitsunari who happens to pass by: Hmm? Oh my, I don't remember this book has a needle attached to it (ㆁᴗㆁ✿).
-Other tour members: EEEEEKKKK 😱😱😱
-Ieyasu who also happens to be not to far from the group: Tch. Books from the future must not to be underestimated ಠ_ಠ. It's too thick.

venomous words
Tumblr media
on a rainy afternoon in new jersey, the kids didn't have an option to go outside or not since they knew how strict their mother was on days like this and how their father would react if he saw mud tracked into the house. they'd be toast with the chancla.
so ellie played with her barbie dolls on the carpet in the living room floor with a small smile on her face, giovanni sat on the couch and watched over his baby sister while trying to look for something to watch in netflix, specifically a movie. luke and auggie were upstairs in their room playing whatever the newer generation was into. the two boys were in sweats that had crumbs on them since the boys were munching on potato chips as they played their game. their mother had just arrived from long and stressful day at work, she sat in her car for a minute or two to collect herself before entering her home where her babies and husband would be waiting for arrival. well maybe just her babies... once again.
she covered herself with her purple umbrella since it was pouring rain as she got out her car, closed the door and locked it before walking to her front porch that wrapped around the house. she closed her umbrella as soon as she was covered by the porch's roof. she grabbed her house key out of her pocket and opened her door.
"mom's home!"
she hasn't stepped foot into her home and she was already called out by her kids. luke and auggie jumped out their beds and ran downstairs as soon as they heard their older brother yell. ellie dropped her doll and skipped over to her mommy as gio stood up from the couch and walked over to her.
as sara closed the door behind her and turned around, she was attacked by hugs all over her body. from her thighs to her shoulders, her children had her trapped in a loving hug.
after she kissed them each and asked about how their day went, they went back to what they were doing before she came home. later they were expecting a home cooked meal that she always provided for them since mattia rarely cooked for them nowadays and sara didn't like having her kids eating fast food all the time either for their health. at times it was acceptable but if they didn't need to eat it then they wouldn't.
sara was now sitting at the island that was in the kitchen, she opened the bottled water she grabbed from the fridge and took a sip.
"how was work?" her oldest son's voice came from behind her. he walked from behind her to next to her and leaned against the marble island. "stressful. overwhelming. busy. i don't know how i'm gonna do it..." she rubs her temples with a groan. "don't over work yourself, ma. you got this, you always do." gio rubs his moms shoulder softly and flashed her a smile. a smile that made her feel better and made her smile.
"i know it's just that i wanna do as much as i can for this project. i've worked my ass off for years for this to finally happen and i'm so close. only a few more months of ridiculous amount of stress then i'll have my own clothing line." a weak smile formed on her lips, gio's heart swells at the sight. he knows how much his mom has been wanting this but he also knows how much she can overwork herself.
"isn't dad helping you with any of it? he said he would, right?" gio asked with his mother with hope as she took another sip of her water. "uh yeah. he is but there's certain things he can't help with." she gave her son a tight smile laced with lies.
truth is mattia hadn't even talked to sara about her huge project that she has been working on for over a year now. he thinks his wife can do it herself because of how strong she is but little did he know how weak she was getting from handling everything by herself. she was never the one to ask for help but this time she did ask for help from her husband but his answer?
"you're being dramatic"
so she never asked again and instead asked her close friends who were of course open to help with anything she needed. she knew that the kids had brought up the project while they talked to mattia recently either at dinner or something similar. and being the good father mattia is he had to lie because he knew if his kids found out their parents weren't helping each other out then they'd question why and jump to conclusions which leads to arguments and picking "sides".
"oh yeah. i've been helping her with scheduling everything and keeping the tabloids updated. she's not as stress thanks to me."
sara would just simply nod and give a small nod to the kids and glare at mattia who just rolled his eyes at her.
"like what?" gio asked. "it's personal business stuff, g. don't worry about it, okay? i'll be fine. but did your dad take you guys out for breakfast like he said he would?" she changed the subject with a smile.
gio avoided eye contact with her which she automatically meant no.
"h-he just forgot. that's all." he stuttered a bit. sara tried to remain as calm as she could. she didn't want to lash out in front of her baby and took a mental note to talk to mattia tonight about not taking the kids out for breakfast.
"you don't have to lie to me, ya know? i won't get mad at him." she sighed and gave her son a reassuring look. "when i woke up this morning he wasn't here. he sent me a text as well saying that something came up and he had to go meet up with his manager for a gig." he simply explains. "so i made breakfast for us instead and lunch too. he sent us money for post mates but i was just mad-" he stopped himself from venting to his mother about his father.
"i didn't use the money. that's all." he shrugs as sara looks at him with sympathy.
"he promised me that he'd try hard for us. to try being more involved... why would he lie?" gio claps his hands together. "sometimes work gets in the way of things, honey. trust me if he could clear his schedule for a whole week just to be with us he would, okay?" the fact that sara was defending mattia wasn't something she wanted to do.
she had to because she didn't want her son to think bad about his own father, she was trying to protect at least both of them.
after their little conversation sara made dinner while the kids were being entertained by the activities they were doing before she got home. as sara looked over at the clock, she sighed.
it was seven o' clock and mattia still wasn't home. usually he'd send his wife a text saying that he was going to be home late but when sara checked her phone she had no new messages. the kids were now sitting at the table with their mother. she sneaked a quick text to mattia before eating with her babies.
sara: are you on your way yet?
she got no response after she sent it. she called twice and still nothing. she was beyond livid at this point. first, he didn't take the kids out for the day, then he doesn't respond to her text or calls her back? this was the third time this month that this occurred. she didn't show it but she was pissed off at dinner and while she tucked this kids into bed.
"is daddy gonna tuck me in too?" ellie asked as she held onto her stuffed giraffe. "yes, baby. of course. when he gets home i'll tell him to come and give you a kiss, okay?" sara's soft voice said as she placed a strand of hair behind her ear. ellie simply smiled at her mother.
"goodnight, angel. te amo." sara kisses ellie's nose. "buenas noches, mommy. te amo mas." the two giggled. once sara finishes tucking in her kids, she goes to her bathroom to take a shower. she then changed into some house shorts and one of mattia's shirts that fit her like a dress.
she went to the living room and ate ice cream as she watched good girls. without even knowing it, she fell asleep on the couch. she was woken up by someone whispering her name softly and rubbing her cheek gently with their palm.
she opened her eyes to see mattia with a smile. oh how much she wanted to wipe that stupid smile off his stupid face.
"did you make dinner?" he questions her. "yeah. we ate already so i put your plate in the fridge. now if you excuse me i'm going to bed." she was too tired to deal with him right now. she would have to be up bright and early tomorrow for meetings and such so she just didn't want to argue with her husband right now.
she got up from the couch and tried walking away but mattia reached out for her hand to stop her.
"you guys didn't wait for me? what happened to family dinners?" he asks with a pout as he held her hand. she quickly glanced at the clock on the wall for a time check.
2:34 a.m.
"i was not gonna wait till now to eat with you and neither were the kids, mattia. family dinners means that everyone has to be here at reasonable times." she sighs and glares at him. "where were you anyways, mattia? it's past midnight and you barely got home." she questions quickly and changed the subject.
"i was out. it's not a big deal, babe." he scoffs at her.
"not a big deal? if it's not a big deal then why can't you tell me where you were?" she remarked quickly and crossed her arms over her chest.
mattia gives her a look, as if she was crazy or something. all she wanted to know was where he was at, what was so hard about that?
he started walking to the kitchen, sara quickly followed him.
"sara, i've had a long day. please don't start with me right now..." he huffs as he opens the fridge and grabs his plate of cold food. "says the guy who comes home late smelling like alcohol and cigarettes." she looks at him from across the island.
"i didn't do shit! all i did was go to a bar with alejandro and alvaro after i finished my meetings. they drank but i didn't because i knew you'd react like this and treat me like some kid!" he was getting frustrated with her at this point, he showed it by banging his fist on the island. his breath reeked of alcohol so she was even more pissed off that he was lying to her about drinking.
"all i wanted to do was come home to my wife and kids. a nice home cooked meal and after the kids go to bed and we all settle down, maybe some good sex with my wife but i can't have that can't i? ever since you've gotten this attitude all you ever do is complain! you're on bitch mood twenty four seven, sara!" he was now raising his voice at her.
sara had no energy to argue with him right now. literally nothing left. she had a long day, she just wanted to sleep. she looked at him with tired eyes, she scanned his facial expression and saw the anger he always had all of a sudden now. right now she ignored it and walked away, but he didn't let her.
"where the fuck are you going?" he turned her around a little bit too rough. "to bed, mattia! i'm too tired to deal with your bullshit right now." she stated as she tried not to yell at him.
"whatever. go ahead, walk away. that's all you're good at since you can't do anything right. you definitely can't be a good wife." his words felt like knives. she felt like her heart was getting stabbed completely, over and over again.
she walked off, pretending that what he just said didn't phase her and went upstairs quietly so she wouldn't wake the kids.
little did she know, gio was hiding behind a pillar near the stairs where he heard everything.
she went to the room which she shared with her "husband" and jumped into bed. she laid in bed for a minute, thinking about what mattia said. his words repeating in her head like that one song that could never get out of your head.
"you definitely can't be a good wife."
those venomous words scared her pretty much. she couldn't believe he said that... why would he say that? was she really not a good wife? what was she doing that made her so horrible to him? was it the kisses? was it her cooking? was it her looks? was it the sex? the constant need of having him around? what was it?
whatever it was made her feel like she wasn't good enough which was not the case.
sara was always good enough.
she cried herself to sleep that night. and hours later she felt his presence next to her body, his arms wrapped around her keeping her warm but it didn't make her feel loved like it usually did. no, she had a different feeling. she felt like she was in bed with a stranger. why was she feeling this way? shouldn't she be happy that he was still willing to sleep in the same bed with her?
all the questions she thought of made her feel more insecure, not about herself but about her marriage with the man she loved so much. the last thing she wanted was to lose him, it would ruin her.
she hopes for an apology of some sort. perhaps a date to make it up, she'd be willing to forgive him. she knows he lied about not drinking, mattia could never say no to not have a beer or three with the boys. he wasn't thinking straight, she knows her husband too well.
he just didn't want to admit that he was drinking because he didn't want to feel more guilt than he was already feeling since he missed out on dinner.
so the next morning she was woken up by the smell of pancakes and bacon. she went downstairs and saw gio and mattia cooking at the stove, auggie and ellie coloring on the table while luke looked sleep deprived as he walked into the kitchen with his mom.
"morning, amor." mattia walks over to her holding a plate of stacked pancakes with all the works. he bends down a bit to kiss her oh so sweetly, they both smile into the kiss. "i handled everything you needed to do today so we can all spend quality family time and to start off the day i thought of making breakfast." he hands her the plate where she takes it and sits at the table. once everyone is served the all began to eat.
"you have to cook more, pop. these smack!" auggie speaks as he licks his lips. "maybe i will." mattia laughs as he looks over at his son. "how'd you sleep, ma?" gio asked simply. the way he asked her sounded like he knew something (which he did since he heard what his father told his mom last night) but no one thought too much of it.
"good, baby." she lied with a smile. gio could tell that she was lying but he wasn't going to confront her about eavesdropping on her and mattia.
they all ate breakfast in peace and with joy. gio couldn't stop looking at his mom and dad. especially, his mom since she seemed so happy. didn't mattia's drunk words hurt her? was she really pretending that nothing happened between her and her husband? he couldn't believe she was still protecting mattia after what he told her.
"what's up with you?" luke nudges his older brother's elbow slightly. "what?" was gio's response. "you keep on staring at mom. i get that she's beautiful but it's starting to look weird now. quit it." luke let out a dry chuckle after he spoke.
gio just rolled his eyes and finished his breakfast. once the family finished eating they were told to get ready for a day out. mattia said that he'd be taking them out to the carnival since it happened to be in town.
"hey, can we talk?" mattia closed the door behind him as he walked into his bedroom. sara was sitting at her vanity deciding what necklace to wear that she had in her jewelry box.
"yeah, what's up?" she nods and turns her body to face him. he sits in the edge of their bed as she sat across from him in her spinning stool.
"first off, i want to apologize for last night. i know i should've gave you a heads up about dinner and coming home late. yes, i did drink and i didn't mean any of what i said. i was drunk and stupid. i'm sorry, mamas." he gave a look filled with guilt and he really didn't mean those things that he told her last night.
"tia... i accept your apology, okay? you just had me worried because you weren't texting or calling me back. and i just had a stressful day overall yesterday." she sighed. "i know, baby. you shouldn't be overworking yourself either. i also took the liberty of organizing all of your meetings and handling the little things for your project. i know you've wanted this for the longest time and i hate to see you so worrisome about the little things, babe. i wanted to help you." he explains which made her heart feel a certain way. only he was able to give her that feeling as crazy as it sounds.
"i really do have the best husband in the world, huh?" she giggles. "and i have the best wife ever. being all sexy and shit." he winks at her which makes her blush.
"come give me a kiss." he adds and she obeys. she gets up from her chair and straddles mattia's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck and plays with his hair. she dips her head down, he catches her lips with his own. the kiss was soft and sweet, all of their worries seemed to wash away. almost as if all their problems went away as well... boy were they in for it.

A Royal Journey pt.4
Previous//Next
Genre: Fluff, Fantasy
Pairings: Female Reader x Felix || WooChan (Woojin x Chan)
Word count: 4,186
Warnings: Blood and Violence
Summary: Finally getting somwhere.
Tumblr media
The next morning you wake up with a blinding headache and you can't remember much from last night. You use lesser restoration on yourself which takes away your headache pretty fast and you also start remembering more of last night. You remember dancing with Felix, you remember the way he smiled at you, and you can't help but to smile to yourself while you get ready for the day. Once you're almost fully dressed you hear a knock on your door, “Y/n, Jeongin is still out.”
“Aw, ok, I'll be in there in a minute, I'm still getting dressed.” You quickly finish up and make your way a door down to the boy's room and knock on the door. It opens and you see Jeongin lying on one of the two beds in the most uncomfortable position you've ever seen and you just laugh, Felix is sitting on the edge of the other bed putting his armor on, when he sees you come in he smiles brightly. You start tapping on his shoulder, “Jeongin… hello?” You cast the same spell as you did earlier on him and he starts waking up, he blinks his eyes and looks up at you, “An angel…?” You laugh, “No Jeongin, just me,”
He sits up, “Eh, close enough.”
“Sure,” you laugh.
“Whoa, I feel way better!”
“Well yeah, I used a pretty good spell on you.” Chan laughs, “Ok Jeongin, now that you're up hurry and get ready, we're leaving right when Changbin gets here.”
“Ok ok I'm moving, but I can't get dressed when she's in here,” Jeongin points at you.
“Oh! Right! I'll go over to the pub and order breakfast. Should I bring it back here?”
“Nah, we'll be there in a little bit,” Chan says holding the door. You nod and leave. When you enter the pub you see Han and Minho at the bar eating, you sit down next to them and order your food. “Oh Y/n!” Han smiles brightly.
“Hi guys” you smile.
“You and Felix did great at the dance last night! You're such a cute couple!”
“Oh, uh, we're, not a couple…”
“Uh huh… so that means you're available?” Han smirks. “I, uh, well technically I guess…” Minho flicks him in the back of the head again, “Ow! I said stop hitting me!”
“Then stop making her uncomfortable!” At this point the other three walk in as the bartender brings you your food, you all go sit down at a table. After eating for about ten minutes Changbin walks in, he sets two scrolls on the table in front of Jeongin, “What are these?”
“Spell scrolls we found in the bosses stuff, figured you could use them” Jeongin's face lights up, “No way!! I'll definitely use these! Thank you!” He then spends the rest of the time you're in the pub reading over the spells and copying them to his spellbook. You spend another twenty minutes eating and then all four of you leave the pub, but as you're leaving you hear someone shout behind you, “Wait!!” Han and Minho run up to you, “Can we come with? It doesn't matter where you're going, we're just wandering around anyways, having people other than Han to talk to would be great…”
“Rude.”
You look at the rest of them and they just shrug. “Sure why not, as long as you're aware there's possible fighting, and you might get hurt,” you say with a somewhat serious face. The two of them look at each other and then look back, “I think we can handle it” Han smirks. You all then leave the town together and head back to Ironwind. You actually get there in one day this time due to no issues popping up, but it's beginning to get pretty late at this point. The guards stop you at the gate until they see Felix, “Ah your highness, you've returned much sooner than expected.” The guards bow. “Yes, but I'm not staying long, I just need to speak to my mother, and it's important, may we borrow some horses?”
“Of course your highness, but we only have five, so a few of you will have to share,”
“That's fine, thank you.” Five horses get brought out to you, Han and Minho share one and you get on with Felix. At first you don't hold on very tight because you've never been that close to him and you're a little nervous, “Y/n, hold on, I don't want you falling off.”
“Uh, ok…” you wrap your arms around his waist, as he kicks and the horses take off. They go much faster than you were expecting and you let out a small squeak and shut your eyes tightly as you wrap your arms around him tighter trying not to fall off. Felix on the other hand is a smiling blushing mess, which he's very happy no one can see. After a moment you open your eyes and watch the houses speed past you and you're hands slowly start slipping from his waist. Once he notices he reaches down with one hand and pulls you up to hold on better, “You ok?” He glances back at you. “Yeah, I'm fine,” you readjust yourself and tighten your grip on his waist as he moves his hand from yours. After you get used to the speed you realize just just how close to him you are, you heart rate begins to speed up and you start grinning to yourself.
You make it to the castle far sooner than you would have liked. Felix jumps off before you and then reaches up with both hands to help you down, you hop into his arms and he lowers you to the ground. You're faces are very close at this point and Felix takes a quick step back, “I'm going in with Chan and Changbin, you four stay here,” You nod and sit down on the benches by the doors as they go in. They walk into the throne room but the queen isn't there, Felix sees two guards, “Excuse me, where's my mother?”
“Oh your highness, she's in her study.”
“Thank you!” He grabs Chan and Changbin’s hands and runs off. They stop in front of a large door on the second floor and Felix knocks. “Yes?”
“Mother? It's me.”
“Felix?” There's some shuffling behind the door before it opens. “What are you doing back so soon…?”
“I have something important to talk to you about.”
“Oh… alright, come in.” The three of them walk in and the queen sits down in a chair in front of a desk, “Now, what is it dear?”
“Have you ever heard the name Tema?” Felix asks as he sits down in a chair next to the door. The queens eye go wide, “Where did you hear that name?!”
“I- um, from Changbin…”
“Who's that?”
“Oh right! This is Changbin, we met him in the forest, he used to be a bandit, but now he's not, we helped him beat up his old boss.”
“I see, it's a pleasure to meet you,” she smiles and nods towards Changbin as he bows. “Now Changbin, where did you learn that name? No one should know it, that name, and it's owner have been dead for years...”
“Well, your majesty, with all due respect, you're wrong, for the name at least. Because my group was working under her, she was having us spy on the city, and she doesn't like you or your family at all…”
“But that's impossible, she died, he killed her… She's gone! You must be mistaken!” She stands up and walks over to the window on the left side of the desk. “Mom…” Felix stands up, “Who is- or was she…?”
“She was a good friend, an ally… but, she changed, her mind got twisted, she started messing with things she didn't understand, she put the kingdom in danger… she put you in danger… and she shouldn't be alive! You father sacrificed himself to kill her… he trapped her in her lab, he caused it to explode with both of them in it… she shouldn't be alive…” They stand in silence for a moment, “Mom… why have you never told me this?? Isn't this a little important??”
“I was going to! I just never found the right time… I'm sorry.” Felix thinks for a moment, “We need to kill her. If she really is still alive we need to kill her.”
“Felix no, she's too dangerous, I can't lose you too…”
“Mom, I'll have friends with me, we'll practice, please, let me do this for father…” Felix has an extremely determined look on his face. “You're majesty, take it from me, we can handle this, we even have two more people with us willing to help.” Changbin speaks up. “I just- I don't know…”
“Mother. Please.” She sits there thinking silently for a while, “Alright… but if you don't come back I won't forgive you.” Felix runs up and hugs her, “Don't worry, I'll be back, I promise.”
They smile at each other, “I love you Felix, and I'll never stop.”
“I love you too mom,” Felix smiles brightly and the three of them leave. The queen sits down at her desk and puts her head in her hands. They make it back out to the rest of you and explain everything. “Wait, so we're gonna fight some possibly super strong crazy woman who killed your Dad?” Jeongin asks. “Essentially, yes.” Felix responds.
“Awesome!”
“Jeongin, you sound way too excited to possibly die,” you laugh.
“Well when you put it that way it sounds worse…” the rest of you laugh. “Ok, since we'll be leaving in the morning why don't you three come stay at the temple? We have extra rooms.” You say looking at Han, Minho and Changbin. “That's a good idea, Felix, why don't you go with them, I'm gonna go talk to the guard about getting a cart so we don't have to walk.” Chan says as he mounts his horse and leaves. The rest of you nod and mount your horses as well and head to the temple. You show the three of them around and explain to the other clerics what's going on. They get them settled in and you and Felix take Jeongin to his place by the garden, after he goes inside you speak up, “Hey Felix?”
“Yeah?”
“Why did you take me with? Couldn't you have dropped Jeongin off by yourself?”
“Well, yeah… but I wanted to show you something.”
“Oh, alright,” you smile as Felix gets off the horse and starts leading it with you on it. “Close your eyes.”
“Ok…?” You say with a small smile. You walk for a small while before you stop, “Ok, open your eyes.” As you open your eyes gasp, you see the pond in the middle of the garden and you see a full moon and all the stars due to the clear night. “Felix… this is beautiful…” you sit in awe. “I knew you'd like it, this is my favorite place to come when I need to think.” He smiles softly. He helps you down again and he walks you down a bridge leading to the small island in the middle of the pond. You sit down on the small bench and stare at the stars and moon, “This is just so beautiful… I-” you turn to look at Felix who is smiling at you. “I-... Um…” you look away down to the other side.
“Y/n?”
“Hm?” You look back up.
“I've known you for years now,” You look down at your hands in your lap. “and ever since that first day you helped me the temple, I've always thought you were the most beautiful girl I've ever met...” At this point your heart is beating so fast it feels like it might pop out of your chest, you want to say something but your mouth won't move.
Felix continues, “I've known from that moment that I've liked you, I just haven't had the guts to tell you… I understand if you don't like me back, I just needed you to kno-” before he can say anything else you're grabbing the sides of his face and are crashing your lips into his. He freezes for a second before he moves his hands to your waist and kisses you back. It's like fireworks are going off in your head, the world almost seems to spin as he slowly moves his lips with yours.
You slowly pull apart and just stare into each other's eyes almost in a dase, “Hey Felix?”
“Yeah?”
“I definitely like you back,” He chuckles before kissing you again pulling you closer as you slowly run your hands through his hair.
You two lie down in the grass and watch the stars together holding hands, you point out constellations you've learned and how the stars look like his freckles. You stay like this for about half an hour before he stands up, “Come on, we should really get going, we've got a lot to prepare for.” He gives you his hand and helps you up, once you're up he laces his fingers with yours and walks you back to the horse. He takes you back to the temple and walks you up to the door before he softly caresses your cheek with his thumb and leans in to kiss you one last time, which you you gladly return smiling.
“I'll see you tomorrow,” he smiles as he gets back on the horse and leaves for the castle. You go inside grinning like an idiot and lean your back up against the door as you shut it. “Fun night?” You just about jump out of your skin as you see Han, Minho and Changbin all sitting on the couches in front room of the temple.
“I- uh-” They all just laugh, “Calm down, you don't have to tell us anything,”
You sigh, “You guys scared the crap out of me, why are you still up??”
“We were waiting for you.” Changbin says still laughing a bit.
“Why…?” They all just shrug and you roll your eyes, “Nevermind, it doesn't matter, but we do need to go to bed, we have a lot to get ready for.” They all whine and get up and go to the guest rooms near the back and you go to your room. As you lay in your bed you just stare up at the ceiling, “Did that really… just happen…?” You touch your lips and smile. As you fall asleep the only thing on your mind is Felix's face.
The next morning you wake up just before sunrise and before the boys wake up to make breakfast. Which the smell of food wakes them up pretty quickly. After eating for a few minutes there's a knock at the door, you go and open it to find Chan, Felix and Jeongin with a cart drawn by two horses. When you see Felix you can't help but smile and blush a little remembering last night, and Chan definitely notices. You run off and finish getting ready as the boys finish up eating and do the same. Once you're all ready you pile into the cart and Chan gets in the front to drive and Changbin sits up there with him. The cart is definitely faster than walking, but not by much, it's definitely easier than walking.
You make it to and through most of the forest in about half a day, once you make it to the crossroads again Changbin speaks up, “We should go to Silvermire, that's the way Tema’s goons go every time they report back to her,” Chan nods and you go left this time.
You make it to Silvermire in about an hour, at this point it's a few hours after middy. The town is on the very edge of the forest and is in much better condition and much larger than Deepwood. It once again has a wall around it but it's much taller, and it has an actual gate, but it is open. It's a very busy bustling town with people selling things from carts and people getting off work going home or to the local pubs.
You make your way through the town and make it to a larger inn with a pub in the downstairs. You all go in and it's just starting to get active. Chan goes up to the bar and buys three rooms, “Hey is there a place we can keep our horses?” He asks. “Oh yes, we have a public stable near the gardens. Just go follow the main road for a while and you'll see it.” She smiles as she hands Chan the keys for the room. Chan smiles, “Thank you,” he turns to leave and stops, “Oh wait! One more thing, do you know anything about a lady named Tema?” She thinks for a moment, “Hmm it sounds familiar… you know who might know? The druid who helps with the gardens, lots of people like to hang out there so he knows almost everyone, he's very friendly.” Chan smiles and thanks her again before giving everyone their keys, one to you, one to Han, Minho and Changbin, and the last one stays with Chan because he's sharing with Felix and Jeongin. “We gotta get more girls in this group, bunking by myself is sorta lonely…” you whine as the rest of them laugh.
“I'm gonna go find a place to leave the horses, and also possibly learn some about Tema. Who wants to join me?”
“I will!” You all say almost in unison. You all start laughing. “Well ok then, I guess this'll be a group thing.” Chan chuckles as you all start making your way to the gardens. Due to how large the town is it takes about ten minutes to get there. It's a very large garden, maybe about half the size of the castle’s, which is saying a lot, the castle garden is very large. You easily find the stables and Chan pulls up to it, a young man comes out and helps tie the horses up and parks the cart behind the building, Chan pays him a few gold. You all make your way to the garden, which is beautiful, it has all sorts of different plants and trees, there are bright flowers everywhere, and multiple pathways throughout it with a small house in the center. The house has a stone path leading up to it, and on one side of the house is a small koi pond, and a chicken coop on the other. As you walk up to the door and Chan knocks you ask, “Hey Chan? Who is this person anyway?”
“Some druid, apparently he might know about Tema, he's probably some old man-" An attractive younger man, not much older than Chan opens the door. He's wearing loose dark brown and green clothes and has a small silver circlet with little flowers on it on his head. “Can I help you?” He asks softly. “I- um- uh-” Chan stumbles over his words as Felix pushes him out of the way, “We're looking for someone, we were told you might know something.”
“Oh alright, why don't you you come in? I just made tea,” the man smiles softly gestures inside. “Alright, thank you.” Felix smiles and goes inside with the man and the rest of the boys, except Chan who's still standing in the same place as before, staring where the man was in the doorway. “Chan? Chaaan,” you wave your hands in his face, “Chan!” You snap your fingers at him. “Ah! What? Huh?” You laugh, “Great first impression,”
“Y/n…” he grabs your shoulders, “This guy is way too pretty, what do I do??” He whispers in a panic. You start laughing harder than before, “Oh my gosh Chan, calm down, just be normal ok? Try not to freak out.” You state calmly. “Ok ok…” Chan takes a deep breath.
“You ready?”
“Nope, but I'm going in anyway.” He says as he goes inside. You simply chuckle and follow him in. The inside is full of plants and vines climbing up the walls, there's an orange tabby cat in the window and a hot kettle of tea on the table, it's a very warm comfortable house. You and Chan sit down at the table with the rest of the boys. “I'm happy you came, I haven't had many visitors recently,” he starts pouring everyone tea, “My name's Woojin, I take care of this garden.” He smiles softly as he sits down. “It's a pleasure to meet you,” Felix smiles, “I'm Felix, and this is Y/n, Chan, Jeongin, Changbin, Han and Minho.” You all nod and smile as he says your names. Woojin and Chan make eye contact for a split second and Woojin smiles a little brighter, and Chan can swear his heart explodes. “Wonderful,” Woojin smiles, “Now, you said you were looking for someone right?”
“Yes, we're looking for a woman named Tema, do you know anything?” Felix asks.
“Hm, Tema… that sounds familiar…” Woojin thinks for a moment, “Oh! I do know that name! She came by about a month ago looking for some very poisonous plants, which I obviously don't have, she got very mad that I didn't and burnt down some of my plants and killed a few of my chickens… it was horrid…”
“That sounds about right… do you know where she might have gone..?” Felix asks.
“I think she mentioned something about Everbell… it's a town in the mountains, it's very far, and very dangerous…” You all sit there thinking for a moment, “I guess we're going there next,” you shrug. “Wait, you guys can't go there by yourselves, there are some crazy elementals, giants and harpies up there, you'll never make back alive if you don't have someone who knows how to navigate the mountains with you.”
“Well where would we find someone who can do that?” Felix sighs. “I mean, I used to live up there…” Woojin states. “Oh! So would you be able to come with?”
“Well… I could, I do have someone who could watch the gardens for me…” he sits there for a moment thinking it over, “Sure! Why not? I haven't been out of this town in a while.”
“Great! Would tomorrow be ok for you?”
“Sure! I'll be ready in the morning!” He smiles brightly.
You all stand up and make your way out of his house, at this point it's beginning to get dark and you see people lighting the lanterns throughout town, you all walk back to the inn, and om the way there you almost go over to hold Felix's hand but stop yourself since no one else knows yet.The pub in the bottom of the inn is bustling and lot's of people are talking and laughing, the boys want to stay in the pub and hangout, but you're exhausted and are ready to sleep, so you head up to your room as the guys order a round. After they all finish their first beer Felix speaks up, “Ya know, I'm actually pretty tired also, I'm gonna go up to the room, can I have the key?”
“Huh? Oh yeah, here,” Chan hands Felix the key and he heads upstairs, but he doesn't go to his room. He instead knocks on your door, which you answer pretty quickly since you weren't asleep yet, as you open the door you smile. “Hey,” Felix grins and you let him in. Almost immediately he has his hands on your hips and turns you around and up against the door as he presses his lips to yours. You slowly move your hands up is body and to his hair as he tilts his head into the kiss. You part and he sighs as he presses his forehead to yours, “I've waited all day for that…”
“Why can't we just tell the guys so we don't have to hide this?” You move your hands to his back.
“Because, they'll tease us.” You pout, “But I wanna hold your hand and stuff in front of them… and I don't wanna have to wait to kiss you…” He sighs, “I know… me too… I'll tell them in the morning, ok?”
You smile and peck him on the lips, he then pulls you into a deeper kiss and you giggle into the kiss which makes him smile and you two end up just laughing with each other. As he pulls away he takes your cheeks in his hands and squishes your face, “Wow… how are you so cute?” He kisses the tip of your nose and you blush and hide your face in your hands. He chuckles and lets go of you, “I should go before Chan comes looking for me…” he kisses you one last time before he quickly leaves. You sit there grinning at the door for a minute before you lay down and go to sleep.
