How to take care of yourself

Hiii! <3 How are you? I hope you're having a great day/night, anyway, maybe you need this because you're not feeling ok right now, so I'm going to tell you some tips to feel better.

Taking care of yourself is essential to maintaining good physical, mental and emotional health. Here are some practices you can adopt to take care of yourself:

Healthy eating: Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and healthy fats. Limit the consumption of processed foods, added sugars and saturated fats.

Regular exercise: Do regular physical activity to keep your body in shape and release endorphins that will help you feel good. Find activities that you enjoy, whether it's walking, running, swimming, yoga, or any other exercise that motivates you.

Adequate rest: Make sure you get enough sleep every night to allow your body to recover and regenerate. Establish a regular sleep routine and create an environment conducive to rest in your bedroom.

Stress management: Find techniques that help you manage stress, such as meditation, deep breathing, yoga, or practicing relaxing activities like reading, drawing, or listening to music.

Healthy Relationships: Cultivate positive, supportive relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. Maintain open and honest communication, and seek help when you need it.

Time for yourself: Dedicate time to activities that you like and that make you feel good, whether it is practicing your hobbies, going out into nature, or simply relaxing and resting.

Regular medical consultation: Schedule regular medical check-ups to detect any health problems in early stages and receive appropriate treatment.

Remember that self-care is an important part of maintaining a healthy balance in life. Don't be afraid to prioritize yourself and take steps to care for your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

just to be completely clear, the amount of military power and political influence Israel has has NOTHING to do with its settlers being Jewish. Israel is a force for American & European interests in the region and they're just doing what America does and allows/encourages its close allies to do.

war crimes aren't considered war crimes when someone America finds useful is doing them. european and american pushback against anyone criticizing Israeli apartheid & genocide is 100% because these crimes are useful to American & European hegemony.

Governments that are deeply antisemitic, like France, aren't suddenly caring about Jewish people. Jewish people, persecuted the world over, don't hold some kind of hegemonic power outside of Israel.

The state of Israel and its attendant brutal treatment of the locals are both incredibly useful to the US, and American hegemony means we're expected to celebrate both.

not bc they're Jewish. this isn't a break in the pattern of western antisemitism and it's not evidence that antisemitism doesn't exist.

it's just like how you could get fired for saying shit against the US war in Afghanistan when i was growing up. it is 100% about US military and political interests (ok slightly western europe too but lbr)

I really wanna draw a happy birthdayboy Sanji all smiley and wobbly 💗💗💗 but cant sketch anything new rn and cleaning the comic is much easier, no thoughts, head empty

Anyway, ramble time

I don't have much experience with making comics, the żabka AU one being the one I roughed out first, but it was much less complicated. I dont recall making a serious comic effort before that... I now have a newfound admiration for drawing fight scenes, found it extremely hard lmao Generally I keep second guessing myself, always thinking I should have added more panels to make what's happening more clear, not sure if the flow of it is right. Even though I already moved onto cleaning I still keep making changes to the sketched out panels that were supposed to be final lol I also second guess the plot I'd planned, maybe I didn't think this characterization through enough? What if people dislike it?

But! If I keep tweaking and overthinking it I'll end up never posting it and I don't want that. And if I focus on other people's judgement I won't find joy in making art and I don't want that either.

So here's to sharing art! Regardless of mistakes and doubts 💗

my final from last semester that i made into a zine. cooked this one up in a couple hours before the critique (the ink was still wet!), so it's very raw and kind of sloppy but the sentiment is there. i love you trans people of color. we are the backbone of this community 🌟

Help me settle a debate with my friends! If it seems difficult to choose that's normal, we've already dealt with the animals that are easy to sort (e.g. goats and mice are the two extremes on the spectrum of animal civility) and these are the more dicey choices that are on a similar level of perceived politeness.

#tbh i think the giraffe shouldn't be in there. they don't look particularly affable to me more like they mind their own business at best #but i think i'm influenced by the arsehole giraffe character from that kimba cartoon when i was a kid #ok i just googled it because i didn't want to badmouth a giraffe in case i remembered wrong #and learnt that raff the giraffe ''died from his injuries and from dehydration''#i feel terrible for speaking ill of the dead. please don't let that influence your vote though
