Ramblings About God of War: Odin addition!

First of all: MY ASKS ARE OPEN!! I'm running out of ideas for character analysis jelp

Note: yeah I know I said I was gonna make Freyas next but I wanna talk about how much I hate him. He sucks so much i hope he dies again all my homies hate Odin he sucks so much you don't even understand

Odin: The top Gaslighter, Gatekeeper, and Girlbosser

Tis' the season to point out the diffrent manipulation tactis odin uses! God, Odin is so horrible. Hes a horrible dad, grandfather, friend, role model, and basically everything ever.

There are few things that motivate villians. The main ones are fame, money, vengence, and power. I think the thing that motivates him is solely power. He wants power over everyone. He claims all he wants is knowledge and vengence, but he just wants power, in my opinon.

For the first time Atrues went to Asgard, Odin excpictly stated he was only in it for the knowledge. But he wants power. As the saying goes, Knowledge equals Power. I know basing this entire character Analysis on one old saying doesnt make much sense, but hear me out here.

Odin loves being on top of the world. He loves having people do anything he wishes. He keeps (or, well, kept) his trusty servant, Heimdall near him at all times. He did, however, manipulate people countless times, which i will get into later. OKAY NOT THE POINT-

My point is; When Odin said that he only wants knowledge, he was telling a half truth. Odin wants knowledge in order to gain power. Because Odin knows so much about everything ever, (or, at least he says he does) people are bound to trust him more. ergo; The knowledge that Odin has equals power over the people who don't know. ...ergo knowledge = power but YOU GET THAT BY NOW.

Each manipulation tactic my least favorite old guy used on his targets

Thor: Odin earned Thors dedication by a very common tactic: Bullying. Hes so unnecessarily mean to Thor, and I think he does this because he can not emotionally manipulate him in his normal tactics, so he just resorts to bullying him like a middle schooler.

Atreus: Promises and flatter. Atreus' entire storyline is wanting answers. And here comes Odin, trying his hardest to convince Atreus that he can have those answers if he just helps him out with translating a mask. But, obviously, he has worse intentions than he claims.

Kratos: Harassment. This is the last tactic that manipulators try to use. Similar to Thors, Odin can't do anything to Kratos. After all the ranting Odin said when he went to Kratos' and Atreus' house all he said was "No," then almost killed his son. So, the only way to get him to do what he wants is physical violence.

Heimdall: literally nothing what happened there he came out the womb worshipping him

"Come Home with Me Tonight" | Levi Fluff Oneshot

✧ word count ➼ ~1.1k ✧ notes ➼ fem!reader, fwb to lovers, mutual pining, alcohol, no use of y/n, some suggestive commentary but no actual smut (yet), idk i originally wanted to write something for valentine's day but then realized that this has nothing to do with valentine's day LMAO but here you go

Formal events were never Levi's thing. He had grown up in the Underground and lived a life that was the complete opposite of the world he currently found himself in—a world filled with formalities and facades he couldn't be bothered to keep up with. Thankfully, it was just for the night, but it was still a drag to keep up with.

He sipped at his glass of bourbon as he struggled to pay attention to the work drama that Hange was chattering to Erwin and Miche about. It was long-winded and convoluted and the pieces stopped connecting for him long ago.

Levi getting immediately distracted upon seeing you walk in didn't help either.

His movements briefly stopped as his eyes landed on you. You had strolled into the venue wearing a loose-fitting dress that perfectly fell over your features. The color complemented your eyes and your hair was flowing loosely over your shoulders. Your outfit was very minimal, yet Levi couldn't take his eyes off you.

Levi's somewhat mesmerized gaze was immediately transformed into a frown as soon as he saw that you were accompanied by a date, with some overly pompous recruit following after you like a lost puppy.

He immediately turned back towards the conversation in an attempt to distract himself, but it was getting more and more difficult the longer that the night went on. He kept on swapping his gaze over to you, despite his best efforts to swallow down the jealousy arising within the back of his head.

It didn't help that you didn't seem particularly taken by your date either.

As the party went on, socializing became more draining, and you quickly found yourself outside of the venue on your own, leaning against the balcony. It gave you some solitude as you looked over the seaside. With the sun just beginning to set, the scene was pretty and it gave you some time to relax to stave off some of the tension building within you purely from the sheer amount of people in the building.

"Too crowded for you?"

You turned around towards the door and saw Levi's distinct figure approaching you.

You weren't that surprised to see him. You had been friends with benefits for a few months at this point, casually meeting up with each other to relieve stress after a chaotic work day, although you had been avoiding him for the past week or so due to some confusing feelings that were beginning to arise whenever you were around him.

"...started talking about work relations," you responded with a sigh. "Lost interest pretty quickly after that."

You watched as he walked up next to you, leaning his back against the balcony railing, before passing you the drink in his hand. He had picked up your favorite for you.

"And you? Got tired of Hange talking about their work drama?"

"You could say that," Levi grumbled, which clearly indicated just how spot-on your prediction was.

You sipped on the drink he had ordered for you, subtly smiling that he had not only brought you it, but also that he paid enough attention to know your taste palette.

Your eyes occasionally flickered up to look at him, with you noticing just how stupidly attractive he looked in a suit every time your eyes landed on him.

"Where'd your 'date' run off to?"

His question pulled you out of your daze, and it took you a second to reorient yourself.

"Date?" you asked, momentarily forgetting the recruit that you had dragged along to the venue. "Oh. Him? He's just a recruit that wanted to start networking or whatever, so he just tagged along. Owed him a favor anyway."

The clarification helped resolve any lingering feelings of jealousy present within him, but he was annoyed at himself for even getting jealous in the first place. The two of you weren't in a relationship, and it was never implied that it was where you were headed.

Still, he found himself perpetually bothered throughout the night at the fact that you had shown up to the venue with someone else.

As Levi fell silent, you noticed him begin to shuffle around awkwardly, with his hands casually resting in his pockets.

Your eyes wandered down from his eyes to his neck, noticing that his collarbones were showing from the top two buttons of his shirt being undone. Feeling your body begin to heat up, your eyes continued traveling lower, with your gaze falling on how his suit jacket seemed to be hugging the curve of his back, before going back up as you noticed how the color of his tie seemed to make his grey eyes even more intense to look into.

It didn't take long before you found yourself imagining yourself in bed with him again. No one had ever been able to pleasure you as much as Levi could, yet you still found yourself avoiding him and dismissing your desire for his touch due to one reason: you were falling in love with him.

Distressed upon finally connecting the pieces, you immediately set your drink down and began to move to head back inside.

"...I'm gonna go check on Nanaba and the others-"

"Wait," Levi interrupted, his hand reaching out to gently grab onto your arm to keep you from leaving. "Don't go."

You paused and looked up at him. It had been a while since you've last slept together. You had assumed that this was where he was going with his request for you to stay, given the fact that you barely ran into each other without it ending up with you in his arms as he fucked the stress out of you.

"...I can meet you after?" you suggested. "Hooking up at this fancy venue might not be the best idea."

"Tch." He let out a quiet tut as he let go of your wrist and leaned back towards the railing. "It's not that."

You blinked at him in confusion, slightly tilting your head. "Then what?"

"...is it wrong of me to want more than just a meaningless fuck?"

Your lips parted in surprise, with your eyes widening, as you realized that those feelings brewing underneath the surface between you were real, and more importantly, reciprocated.

"Levi..." you whispered. "...what are you saying?"

He was silent for a moment, and you could tell from the look in his eyes that he was trying to figure out what to say. Finally, he looked directly back into your eyes, before whispering,

"...come home with me tonight."

strawberry picking w/ eren (∩˃o˂∩)♡

a/n: i've been daydreaming about this sm so enjoy ♡ also theres probably typos, lolol.

it started with you running up to eren when he got out of his last class, “let’s go strawberry picking !” you said as you shoved your phone in his face, “hi babe, i'm good and class went pretty well, how about you?” you rolled your eyes. “welll? are you gonna come with me?” you batted your eyelashes at him.

“‘course im coming, i’d go anywhere if it meant you’d be there too” he replied as he lead you down the hallway. you kissed him on the cheek, “love you” he smiled at you “love you more, i’ll pick you up at 3 tomorrow”

weekend had come by and you were fixing your hair and got a text from eren saying he was outside. you took the keys and your phone and locked your house.

"you look pretty" he commented as you got in his car. "thank you" you smiled at him. once you got there, you immediately got a basket for yourself cause eren didn't want one and got inside the greenhouse.

"it's steamy in here" eren commented, "mhm, yea." you nodded. you took his hand leaded him to an aisle, "look at these they're so cute." you squealed as you saw the strawberries.

"cute?" eren asked, confused on how strawberries can be cute. "yes, they're so cute, i just wanna eat them up." you cooed. "you're adorable" he remarked. "shut up.", he chuckled at your flustered state. you picked strawberries and put them in the basket that eren insisted to hold.

“c’mere” he called. “hmm?” you turned to him and you saw him pick a flower from the strawberry bush. “it’s pretty just like you.” he said as he carefully put it in your hair. you felt your face get hot and it somehow got hotter when he pecked your lips.

“you’re pretty too.”

“yea?” he smiled, “yea.” you kissed him again.

as you finished picking all the strawberries you went through them to pick out any bad ones that you put in accidentally. “why are we doing this again” he asked, “cause i want to make sure they’re all perfect” you answered. he hummed in response, “look at this one, it looks like that cat you obsess over.” he showed you the strawberry that freakishly resembled hello kitty.

“woah! it looks like so much like her,” you took the strawberry out of his hands and observed it. “and we both know you know her name.” you looked up at him. “maybe i do, maybe i don’t.” he shrugged.

you both finished picking out the bad strawberries and went to go get them packed. “we picked so many.” you said as you saw all the boxes. “yeah, should i give one to armin?” he asked, you nodded.

after you got done with everything, you two got in his car to leave. “what are you gonna do with these?” eren quizzed. “i’m gonna use them to bake cupcakes! you should come over when i do.” you replied with excitement.

he chuckled at your enthusiasm, “hm, alright. i’ll be sure to be the best taste tester ever.” he said. “if you want to get a taste of them, you better help.”

“i’ll be sure to help by taste testing” he responded, whispering the last part. “what was that?” you questioned.

“nothing.” he laughed.

Dick: "Bruce never called to tell me what happened to Jason. He didn’t know I was half-way across the universe, but he didn’t even leave a message on my machine. If Danny hadn’t found out... Blast him. Why didn’t he call me?"

3. Bruce picks Jean-Paul Valley as the next Batman (Robin 13)

Dick: "You left Tim alone with a lunatic. The kid could have been killed." Bruce: "There wasn't time." Dick: "No time to pick up a phone? No time to call me? ... I thought there was one guy who'd have faith in me. But when it comes down to the test, you picked someone else to succeed you."

4. Alfred quits after Bruce's back gets broken in Knightfall (Nightwing: Alfred's Return)

Dick: "Bruce didn't send me. I came because I'd like to know why the guy who's been like a father to me suddenly upped and split without a word! Because my best friend has been gone for months - the Bahamas, Antarctica, England - and I didn't even get a call! Not even a postcard!"

Quick ramble about Armin's eyes

(spoilers for the manga)

Armin and his eyes are the literal reason why Eren first realized he wasn't free and thus wanted to go beyond the walls. They're the symbol of the ocean and the unexplored world waiting for them (not just for EMA, but the whole humanity - remember the conversation Levi eavesdropped on before the Return to Shiganshina arc? They were talking about Armin's dream, and Levi remembered it when making the decision who to save) on the other side of the walls.

Armin assures Eren it's going to be okay - they hold eye contact

Eren helps Armin after he was chosen and reminds him of his dream, the ocean - they hold eye contact, emphasis on Armin's eyes in the panels. (Here it's interesting that we also got a panel just for Eren's expression. The fact that his memories and knowledge about past, present and future blur together and how stressed he looked might mean he knew it wasn't going to be any of these things - flaming water or snowfields - but hatred, yet he still wanted Armin to feel better. (If his memories didn't blur before he kissed Historia I apologize, I haven't thought about aot in a long time). Eremin for the win!

The fact that on the vol 33 cover, where he's trying to kill Eren, his eyed are hidden, breaks my heart. In fact, he's the only character, except for Eren, whose face we can see - but his hair cover half of it. You really can see his determination and how his (and Eren's and the others') worldview has changed (tho later it comes back to this curiosity of his (to some extent)).

untitled one-shot #1

I've been thinking of and listening to this song since last night and I just really need to write the idea that's been in my head for a while. This is entirely unedited so please bear with me. Also, I'll be starting to post one-shots as a way of practicing my writing and until I'm ready to go back into writing my WIPs again.

They say words are powerful tools to manifest your desires into reality, that if you scream to the heavens, curse the world, or even whisper a prayer, your deepest desires will be fulfilled.

But who fulfilled them is the question.

For The Writer, it doesn't matter.

Half of his soul he has already offered to whoever god or demon listening, the other half he has tied to the passages of each line he writes. The paper, etched with stories changed and unchanged, scratched out or overwritten, bleeds with ink as black as his green eyes are now. His green eyes, a fathomless pit of emptiness but filled with longingness too, dart across each word, these words being meaningless rambles in his mind but at the same time, a call for what he truly desires...

Her. The Thespian.

He can picture her already, his mind almost conjuring her image into the pages of his tales. Her long, jet-black hair blowing against her snowy skin. Gray, soulful eyes scrutinizing his pale face, her hands reaching out, thumbs caressing his skin as she whispers, "I'm here, my love."

Tears run down on his face as he stabs the paper with a period. My Love. She always calls him her love. He longs for it so much, that he must be delusional into thinking he can hear her pale voice whispering to the wind just that.

My love.

The Writer puts his pen down, fingers combing his disheveled chestnut brown hair. He walks toward her room, floors creaking beneath his feet. He fishes out the key from his pocket and opens the heavy wooden door.

The light from his study shines on the dark room and it illuminates her bed like a halo. There, she sits, back stiffly straight, her ghostly toes barely touching the cold floor. He smiles since she is also smiling at him, her lips stretched out unusually from ear to ear her little teeth gleaming like daggers.

"You are here," he says. Slowly, he drags himself inside her room, then he collapses to her feet, lips touching her toes, her calves, her thighs. He places his head on her lap and reaches for her hand. He moves her fingers across his face like how she used to do it, closing his eyes as he pretends to feel her warmth...

..when in reality, all he feels is her coldness. He can still feel his lips tingling because of it, the cold biting his cheeks but it's okay.

She is here.

His love is here.

She may be cold like the pages on his table, but he doesn't care.

She's here.

That's all that matters.
