As material life progresses toward its conclusion, there is an obligatory accumulation of goods, wealth, and the inevitable infirmities of age. Mythology/Time of Year Hestia (whose Roman equivalent is Vesta), goddess of household and hearth, was the firstborn of Kronos (Saturn) and Rhea (daughter of Earth) and the first swallowed and first regurgitated by Kronos, and thus the oldest Olympian. Her rites involved extinguishing the hearth, relighting the hearth, and ceremonies of completion and renewal. The Homeric Hymn to Hestia pairs her with Hermes (Mercury). Together they both rule transitions and liminality: Hermes as the outer traveler of boundaries, Hestia as custodian of inner thresholds. Hello!

Hello,

Welcome to my little area in the Tumblr website. I am just here to post stories, look at other posts from other users, and chill as I travel through different worlds.

I do want to make clear that you guys can call me Ran (Rahn), for I am not comfortable to share my real name on this platform.

A little about me for those who are curious:

First, I go by She/Her pronouns, but I am fine with They/Them pronouns as well if you are more comfortable with going by those.

I write my own stories, create my characters, and build my own worlds. I am not a fan-fiction writer, but I love to talk about various different fandoms, theories, characters, etc. even if I not part of the fandom.

I'm not gonna complain about mythology not perfectly following my standards of logic or whatever.

But.

If I were continually abused by my divine family for being ugly and crippled and were also canonically capable of forging unbreakable golden nets capable of trapping other gods, there'd be a lot more imprisoned deities lying around. Just saying.

Actually I might put together a fantasy setting like that. Hephaestus stand-in gets tired of the knockoff olympian pantheon's nonsense and traps everyone in place before either going off and becoming a hermit or taking over various celestial duties himself. The pantheon's power is suddenly both fragmented and geographically locked, forcing human worshipers to pilgrimage to different places if they want to seek aid.

A GARGANTUAN AMOUNT.

Now, you have to take into consideration I created my first oc for fandom when I was a wee bebe of 11 years of age, and it was the year when "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" had just come out, and I had just fallen HARD for Draco Malfoy. I still remember distinctly coming back from the cinema and start imagining all these scenes in my head, while listening to my walkman, and at a certain point, I just felt that imagining wasn't enough anymore. I needed to put all those ideas down into words AND pictures.

And since then, I have NEVER STOPPED creating ocs for any fandoms that had meant A LOT to me.
