No. I adore your house of mouse au, I've seen most of it but I wonder, what if the ob gang see Yuu and the great seven chatting then Yuu saw them, pull them and say 'this is the guy I told you back then', now I probably already read one of ask that contain this, but I wanna see only overblot's first reaction that probably quite fascinating

It's already been a few months since Yuu has introduced their friends to the House of Mouse. Honestly, they were fine with that, until there was a planned Dorm Leader meeting. Sadly, their usual spot was taken by the teachers for another meeting, but hey, the House of Mouse is always there! So Yuu invites them for a meeting.

Thankfully, Mickey was glad to give Yuu time off ("I wouldn't want you to be focused on work all the time! It's important to keep your social life back at home healthy. Enjoy the show! :)")

So, they wait for the other Dorm Leaders before they take them to their mirror upstairs.

Kalim: Oh! Are we having a sleepover!?

Yuu: No, we're going to my workplace. They're giving me time off so we can have a meeting and enjoy their performances!

Riddle: Well, as long as it doesn't distract us from the meeting...Why are we even in your room to begin with? Yuu: 'Cause we can't get in without using my mirror, duh. *Pushes Idia into the mirror*

Idia: WHY ME-

They go through the mirror, and the others are pretty impressed with Yuu's personal dressing room.

Yuu: Yeah, my boss is the best :). Oh, btw, don't be surprised to see the Great Seven.

Azul: Hahaha, WHAT?

As they walk out, Minnie personally greets them and leads them to a table. Goofy comes by a minute later and takes all of their orders. As they wait for their orders to come, Yuu gauges everyone's reactions.

Azul is, unsurprisingly, writing things down, muttering about "new ideas for Mostro Lounge. Kalim is looking around the whole dining room, his eyes sparkling. Riddle and Vil are talking quietly, commenting on the decor. Idia was grossed in his video game he brought, glancing at anyone who passed by the table. Leona was messing with the center piece, looking absolutely bored. And Malleus just looked happy to be there.

The meeting went well, actually. With a lively atmosphere, the Dorm Leaders were able to have some productive conversations. Yuu was especially happy to be included in future events run by the Dorms. There were a few interruptions, though.

Of course, it was pure coincidence that the Great Seven were also having a get together. But the oddest thing was that THEY WERE AT THE TABLE NEXT TO THEM??? If that isn't planned idk what is. Yuu introduced the gang to one another.

Riddle is all red in the face, probably very embarrassed to meet the Queen of Hearts. He certainly didn't expect to meet her in person! Though she's pretty impressed by him. He knows all 810 rules by heart. What a good Dorm Leader, remembering all the ruels and making sure the rest remember them!

Leona and Scar didn't talk to each other at first, but when the topic of siblings came around, YOU BET THAT THEY WERE TALKING SHIT. Honestly the funniest thing for them to realize this and begin gossiping about the dumbest things people have done in front of them. It's very sweet to watch them vent out their frustrations to each other.

Ursula talking with Azul and giving him tips on how to blackmail convice people to sign his contracts. Maybe even answer his questions about herself or giving him ideas for his business. A magic item made by the Sea Witch herself? For a price, of course~

Honestly, I can only see Jafar tolerate Kalim at best. He sees Kalim as a foolish kid. Though maybe Jafar slightly warms up to him??? Yuu is probably the one to mediate between the two, honestly.

VIL AND QUEEN GOSSIPING ABOUT BEAUTY TIPS. VIL WOULD TOTALLY TELL HER ABOUT MODERN BEAUTY TIPS. They would be the mean girls of the group tbh. I think Queen would also give tips on being a better leader, because despite her vanity, she was probably a good ruler if the kingdom didn't go to hell in the movie.

Idia would 100% be dying inside at Hades' extrovertness. Hades would be very excited to learn more about his dorm honestly. (Wait no Hades would joke about them being related, and Idia would sink into his seat further). The conversation was awkward until Hades asked about the video game Idia brought. Idia would not SHUT UP ABOUT IT-

Malleus and Maleficent would have a lovely chat over teas and biscuts that they ordered. Maleficent would 100% give Malleus any and all advice she had gained over the years. (Maybe advise Malleus to snag Yuu before anyone else got them). They would totally have conversations about the use of gargoyles and how spot a wild one.

It's getting late at night, and the meeting was over, but Yuu convinced everyone to stay. The show began, and it was one of the best Yuu's seen in awhile (to be fair, most of the shows were sabotaged by Pete, which they helped stop).

The night ended with a bang, and all the Dorm Leaders agreed to hold another meeting at the House of Mouse some time in the future.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 88... You have been warned...! 👌

[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

OMG...!! 😍 THIS WAS SUCH AN ADORABLE CHAPTER FOR THE MANGA TO RETURN WITH...!!! 💗😆💗

We had to wait a month and a half for this chapter, and I think that it DELIVERED!! 😁 So let's talk about it, shall we...? 😊

This chapter begins with a plot line that's been brewing since Mission 61...

THAT'S RIGHT!! 😆 DAMIAN IS FINALLY GONNA GIVE ANYA THE CAKES THAT HE PROMISED HER!! 😁

And it only took 27 chapters for Damian to accomplish this...!! 😌 I honestly just love how Endo does stuff like this, where he brings something back up a bunch of chapters later (even if it's the smallest detail imaginable...!! 😊)

But moving on, we get something that I did not expect to see...:

ANYA DRAWN IN THE FREAKING SHOJO ART STYLE!! I JUST-- I JUST CAN'T...!! 🤣🤣🤣

This is one of the best and funniest things I've ever seen in Spy X Family, and I honestly can't wait until THIS gets animated...!! 😆

After spotting his dream girl from afar, Damian tries to give her the cakes that he promised, but...

There is just too many people around for him to give Anya the goods...! And with Anya overhearing his thoughts about giving her the cakes (but not fully understanding why Damian wants to give them to her in secret), she devises a plan to meet with Damian in the courtyard...!

And after receiving a seemingly bloody message from Anya, Damian agrees to head to the courtyard with her...

But as you can see, Becky, Emile and Ewen decided to follow them...!! 😅 So Damian and Anya decide to BOOK IT, while the others follow suit!!! 😆

After getting chased around for awhile, Damian determines that he's done with this shit and ultimately decides to just throw away the cakes (which Anya hears), and then...:

ANYA, ARE TRYING TO KILL DAMIAN...!? 🤣 HIS LITTLE HEART CAN'T TAKE IT...!! 🤭

Honestly though, this whole page is just so adorable (even if Anya is only doing this for the cakes...!! 💗😄💗)

Anyway, because they were so wrapped up this cake situation, Damian and Anya didn't realize that a wild Henderson has appeared to scold them for missing the the bell...!

Now the two of them have to stay after school, but it isn't all bad...:

After finishing writing their apologies, THE G.O.A.T., Mr. Henderson, offers to have some tea and cakes with Damian and Anya...!! 😁

Then, Mr. Henderson asks Damian about the cakes, and get this little flashback...:

HMMMMMMM..... 🤔

This flashback just makes me continue to be suspicious of Melinda... 😤

But, anyway... To end things off, Damian questions why Anya wanted to meet with him in the first place, and well...:

And that was Mission 88, a really fun chapter to get us back into the swing of things...!! 😆

I'm pretty sure a lot of us were expecting something big to happen this chapter (like how I was hoping for Yor's full backstory because season 2 of the anime started), but it didn't, and I'm okay with that...! I'm just glad that we finally got another chapter of this amazing series to talk about...!! 😊 And though that month and a half long break was killing me (I mean, I had Undead Unluck to read in meantime), I just hope that Endo got some well deserved rest!! 💗🤗💗

Also, that flashback with Melinda is just giving me red flags all over the place...!! 😵 I don't know if Donovan is the one telling her to do these things or if she's doing this to get to Anya herself, but everything that Melinda has done thus far has made me feel constantly uneasy... I just hope that she didn't do anything to those cakes that will harm Anya or her powers in any way...!! 😡

Well, that's pretty much all that I wanted say about this chapter, and like always, I can't wait for the next one!! 😆 So, until the next Mission... Take care, be safe out there and be kind to one another...!! LATER!! 👋😄

Most Trusted Advisors at the A.N.I.M. Book Club

Some of you may have seen me go nut-nut about Most Trusted Advisors, a truly fantastic comedy RPG about playing medieval noble nitwits, heavily inspired by Black Adder, but with a healthy dose of The Thick of It, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Arrested Development in the mix, by @thehorizonmachine (the RPG-making outfit of Tumblr's very own @txttletale and @growleaf). It's a game that the moment I read I was like "dang, I gotta play this." Sadly, real life constantly conspires to make me unable to run all the games I want to by inflicting such miseries as "job" and "tired" on me.

But to this end the A.N.I.M. TTRPG Book Club is a blessing. The original idea behind the book club was mine, but due to a mixture of factors that contribute to a lot of executive dysfunction I handed off the idea to the people at @anim-ttrpgs because they actually have the ability to handle this shit. Thus far we've played A.N.I.M.'s own Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy, Mothership, and Mausritter at the club, and voting is currently going on for our fourth game. I have nominated Most Trusted Advisors, (nominating it required a bit of creativity on my part: one of the requirements for running games at the club is that each group get a more or less consistent starting point for their session so that we can have meaningful comparative discussions not only about the game but the sessions, but to this end when I nominated Most Trusted Advisors I already did a bit of the prepwork and picked a liege type and one of the liege's misfortunes as a starting point for the scenario, much like the game suggests).

The club was pretty much conceived as a way to get to play lots of the games people have collected over the years, especially the ones that don't have enough of a spotlight on them to get the attention they need. In that sense it's already been a success since I've gotten to play three new games in less than three months already. And while it does seem that Most Trusted Advisors won't make the cut this month (a lot of new people have joined since the start of the club and a lot of them, but also a lot of us old members, want to take Eureka out for another spin, especially since we're now more comfortable with the system), but I'm going to keep on nominating it.

Lol. I guess I'll just summarize the whole debacle I accidentally caused.

6 months ago, I made a one or two sentence reply to a post that was discussing different options for lesbians to have children with the objectively medically correct opinion that pregnancy and childbirth are bad for you. OP went ballistic and made multiple posts putting me on blast for accurately describing some of the effects that pregnancy and childbirth have on women's bodies without adding tons of obfuscation and sugarcoating, which is apparently misogynistic. OSA radfems decided that my comments were "pornographic" because I mentioned boobs and vaginas and I'm a lesbian. Being a lesbian means I'm mentally male and not a real woman, so me talking flippantly about female biology is me punching down from a position of unaffected ignorance, not just talking honestly about my own biology and things relevant to being a female person. I also got mad at women who attacked me and made homophobic remarks to me over this and called them bitches and retards instead of responding with Christlike overflowing forgiveness and gentleness, which is unfeminist and evil. OP blocked me so I stopped hearing anything about this and went on with my Tuesday night.

Unbeknownst to me, lesbophobic remarks made to me by straight and bi radfems apparently circulated and caused a massive lesbian-osa schism on radblr. Ms-gay-frogs got so bullied for saying publicly that I made her "understand why straight girls are uncomfortable around you people" that she deleted her account (after trying to explain to everyone that she only meant the gross manly lesbians who sexualize women, not all lesbians), then came back 4 months later as a pro-life Catholic and removed "bi" from her bio, which I have to say is some of the funniest shit I've ever seen on this website.

I guess they're still pissed that I'm spreading accurate information about pregnancy and speaking honestly about my thoughts on it instead of pretending to think having your vagina tear open and need stitches and permanently losing sensation in your clitoris and having lifelong pelvic muscle issues as a result is beautiful.

Incomplete list of the funniest disability experiences I've had

Pissed a little too enthusiastically once and the pelvic muscle contraction dislocated my tailbone and that sudden unexpected pain made me inhale sharply and choke on my own spit and start coughing and then the muscle contractions from coughing popped the bone back into place

Got home after being discharged from a weeklong ICU stay and immediately collapsed onto the floor too weak and exhausted to move so my roommate at the time cheerfully rolled me onto a rug and dragged me on it from room to room belting the magic carpet ride song from Aladdin

Ran into some people I'd known in college but hadn't seen in a couple years, after I got too sick to continue and dropped out, and they stared at me in shock and one of them said "oh my god I totally thought you died"

Fainted at work and fractured my spine from the fall but went "it's probably fine" and finished out the work day and then continued walking around with a broken spine and increasingly severe chronic pain for six months going "it's probably fine!" until finally I stopped being able to walk and my girlfriend made me go to the doctor

Got my oxygen cannula tangled in my sword while sword-fighting someone and accidentally yanked it out of my nose and my opponent, already unsure on the ethics of sword-fighting a girl with an oxygen cannula, stopped and dropped his sword to go "oh shit are you okay do you need a second" and I took the opportunity to beat the shit out of him with my sword and then blacked out a little

Shortly after I started using a wheelchair I was wheeling down the sidewalk and some random person driving by slowed down and rolled down their window and shouted "HEY GIRL, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" and I shouted back "I HAVE A NEUROLOGICAL DISORDER!" and they yelled "WOOHOO!!! YEAH, GIRL!!!!" and revved their engine and sped off. Still not really sure what to make of this interaction but I do enjoy their enthusiasm

My cardiologist made me do a cardiac rehab program for a while because my heart did not work and he hoped specialized physical therapy might strengthen it (it did not). The cardiac rehab program was largely attended by octogenarians recovering from triple bypass surgery and I was a perky young nineteen year old who looked like I did not get enough to eat, so all my fellow patients collectively decided to adopt me as their grandchild and collaborate to smuggle me home-baked goods when the nurses weren't looking. I had the best blondie of my life while on a treadmill hooked up to an EKG

Taskmaster Dream Contestants

Whenever people bring up their dream contestants, a few names always rattle around in my head, but I've never actually sat down and wrote out a proper list until today.

I should mention that Ivo Graham would be on this list if I wrote it several months ago, and I'm incredibly hyped to see what disastrous things he gets himself into during S15.

David O'Doherty

I mean, if you've been following my blog at all, this should be a no-brainer. He's a perfect mix of silly, wholesome, and weird that would be perfect for the show, with a hint of athleticism as well. And he hangs out with lots of TM-related people like Alex Horne, Tim Key, Rose Matafeo, Dara O Briain, and others to the point whether I question why he hasn't been on already. Only time will tell whether he becomes one of the fandom's beloved "old men." (A term I use loosely since he's in his 40s.)

Rob Brydon

I'll admit I only know him from Would I Lie To You and his Brydon & podcast (I haven't seen his stuff with Steve Coogan), but Rob seems like the type of contestant who isn't afraid to get into humiliating situations, while also having that combative banter side that Greg would waste no time trying to put down. And I guarantee you he'll try to squeeze in an impression whenever he can.

Susan Calman

Whenever I see Susan in the lineup on a panel show, I already know I'm gonna enjoy it. Her enthusiasm is insanely infectious, and I just know she'll want to throw herself head first into any task she'll get. Her QI episodes are legendary, and the way she can steer the entire room towards the weirdest situations has made me cry laughing numerous times. And she also seems to have a sweeter side to her that will surely make her a fan favorite.

Harriet Kemsley

There's a specific clip I saw of Harriet Kemsley on Hypothetical that was just pure insanity, and made me go "yeah, she's gonna be great on Taskmaster." Unfortunately the clip isn't accessible on US YouTube anymore for some reason, so you're gonna have to take my word for it. Between that one wild Hypothetical appearance, and her appearances on Catsdown and Guessable, Harriet is sure to be among the "chaotic" contestants, bursting with nervous energy. Something tells me that she'll also torment Alex during the tasks. Think Bridget Christie on TM but x20 at least.

Adam Hills

Can you believe I nearly forgot to include Adam Hills on this list? He's always a joy to watch on The Last Leg, and just appears to be a great human all around. He's athletic and has a great competitive spirit, but also very down to earth. Oh, and he's also hilarious and witty, and I bet he'll bring some level of sass to the studio portions of the show, with maybe a joke or two about his leg thrown in there.

Henry Paker

A bit of a left-field choice, but anyone who listens to the Three Bean Salad podcast (which also features Mike Wozniak) would agree that Henry is an odd man. His tangents on the podcast are legendary, and happen so often that someone actually calculated the speaking time between all three podcast hosts, determining Henry spoke over 10x longer than the others. His Wikipedia page sorta reads like a press release, and says Ivo Graham once called Henry's 2010 show the "funniest stand up he's ever seen." I could see him reaching Ardal or Bob levels of absurdity on the show.

Miles Jupp

I don't really know much about Miles' comedy outside of his appearances on Catsdown, but every time I see him show up during the introductions, I already know it's gonna be a great watch. His chemistry with Sean Lock (who would have easily been included on this list if things were different) was always a treat to watch, and I could watch them shoot the shit for hours on that show and not get bored.

Jamie Laing

This might be a controversial choice, since I've seen lots of people call him irritating. I know Jamie has his roots in reality TV (which I haven't watched), but the instances in which he's rubbed shoulders with comedians have really warmed me to the idea of seeing him on Taskmaster. Watching him be "confident" on House of Games despite being absolute shit at the quizzes is the perfect attitude I'd want in a Taskmaster contestant, and the comedian interviews he's done on his Private Parts podcast were excellent, and shows he already has great rapport with more established comics.

Richard Ayoade and David Mitchell

Both of these are cliche answers to the question "who do you want to see on Taskmaster," but they're brought up often for a reason: it would make for amazing television. A prevailing notion that's repeated when the prospect of Richard on TM is mentioned is that he "has a persona that he wouldn't want to break." This might also be true for David, but the joy of Taskmaster is how the show pushes back against personas and presents comedians for who they are, rather than how they would necessarily prefer to be seen. The idea of David having a breakdown over a silly, inconsequential task given to him would be the stuff of dreams, and I could already see Richard starting a task saying "I wouldn't want to do that," before immersing himself in the weirdness presented to him. Will they ever go on TM? Probably not. Do I still want it to happen? For sure. Listen, if VCM could agree, so could her husband.

an odious damned lie by riverenne is also FANTASTIC. It's a daemon au, which can be tricky, but the author pulls it off so well!! It's got a hell of a twist to it, and it makes me feral. Do you think given the praise Jensen has gotten for his music, his work on The Boys and Big Sky and how The Winchesters have been names a favorite sci fi show. That people think Jared is the successful one? Do these people still think Jared is winning. Like I’m serious, if he is still winning where are his wins and all the praise for his show and his acting or chemistry with anyone? Where are all the articles about Jared? Just wondering how you feel about this.

It's why they're trying to perform aerobics for his numbers, as are lower quality outlets. EW won't prostate to him but smaller ones like TVL that are desperate to maintain relationships are.

The funniest spin I've seen so far is them using flat rounded numbers to the tenths (0.1, 0.2) and then, rather than using the hundredths to break ties, they bring in audience size, something worth less than monopoly money. Then break out the unroundeds and it's like. Ah. Windy's highest was 0.06 but they rounded that to 0.1. Ah, Walker's running a 0.88 on the year average, even WITH it rallying "big" all the way to 0.12 for once after running 0.8 most of the year.

Then people go WELL WINCHESTERS HIT LOW because they act like context doesn't matter, like Nexstar doesn't know the only day Winchesters ranked that low was when we lost a third major center nobody else lost, and the +3 and +7 still somehow shattered Walker same week. And even with the liberal zones axed for weeks, and TW immediately recovering, TW still averages higher live and 4x in app.

Just because we want to believe a thing, doesn't make it true. I want to believe Kung Fu will survive, but its numbers are perfect mirrors of Walker, so I'm not going to hold my breath on it, even if I CAN argue "it's a later slot, of course it'll go down." That argument may also be Nexstar's, but at the end of the day, we know they're only looking for a few shows, and the top earners are AA, AAH, TW. Like, period. And all are WB/CBS coproduced to make good on their contracts.

Winchesters has been routinely hitting 0.2 in +3 and +7 its entire run. Like, actually hitting, or breaking past like 0.22. I think one week we got 0.19. Meanwhile Walker's best jog put it at 0.16 like once, 0.15 like once, and they're rounding THOSE up NOW, but kept their heads down the half of the season it would have rounded to 0.1. It's. It's embarrassing on a professional media level to watch.

This narrative may convince muggle fans it's worth watching, which is the goal of the spin. It may give idiots on twitter fodder they feel they can fight about, but it's all irrelevant data that's being jogged as LOOK, THE SHOW IS ACTUALLY OK. It does Jared no professional favors in the eyes of people that know what they're looking at, and really looks like the death rallies of a show avoiding cancellation in the perspective of the broader media sphere. If they try REAL HARD maybe they can get more 18-49 up to bring its numbers ABOVE Kung Fu average, to make it WORTH that 8P slot while KF is in 9. If they try REAL HARD they can at least get a renancel. And that's all this is. It's them trying Real Hard to not get flat cancelled by Nexstar.

What do people think Jared was pulled into Dennis' office about a month ago? Get your shit together and your numbers up, son, or it's over. I don't care what you do. We'll target our ads for it but you gotta get monetizable numbers up, end-of-story.

This doesn't even account for CW's live and digital app ad bundling. It doesn't account for the fact that Walker gets about a 5 in app and Winchesters gets like an 18-22. Or AA in the same range. Yeah, AA's gonna be more expensive, but it's running them a 0.3 some days in +7. It's doing double Walker's lives. It's literally worth like 3-4x as much as Walker and has several multiples over of funding sources. It could easily be warranted a renancel while promoting forward Homecoming. If Walker at the same age as AA thinks it can get a renancel, them trying to exclude AA from being above them is fucking comedy. Just look in the gap of ad client quality per show.

Alright, I have now officially seen Critical Role campaign 2, had some time to watch the campaign wrap up and just generally put thoughts in a row.

Some of said thoughts, in no particular order:

I appreciate how, like, 90% of the muscle mass of the group is firmly on the lady-side of the party. Personally quite happy about that.

I don't think I ever really got over the character death, but I do appreciate the narrative weight of it and I have a huge soft spot for the character we got out of it so. Man, the story would have been so different, huh?

I hadn't thought one could steal a ship by accident but

Lots of eyeballs in this campaign.

The entire Happy Fun Ball thing.

Jester having the Sending spell was amazing.

Speaking of Jester, I lost my shit with the blueberry cupcake. You know the one.

Personally very pleased by getting to know characters of races that usually get portrayed as evil by default as people, as this has been one of my pet peeves in fantasy genre for decades.

Love the character designs of some of the NPCs. Special shoutout to Orly and the moorbounder salesman.

I really, really enjoyed watching Caduceus interact with his family. That was all very authentic sibling relationship shenanigans, and I love it so much.

Also the dinner scene.

Really, I have only experienced three of Taliesin's characters so far (Mollymauk, Caduceus and Ashton), but I got to say I really appreciate how he does characters. Very aesthetic.

(the reunion two parter is going to be interesting)

The Travelercon. Just... the Travelercon

I still think Yasha "negative 2 charisma modifier" Nydoorin attempting to flirt was the funniest thing ever, in a sweet way.

This was overall gayer than I expected. I'm used to keeping my expectations low to non existent, so I was quite happy to be surprised. Cozy.

Speaking of, I now understand why I keep seeing so much fan art of the sad trash wizard with a drow.

The M9 took one look at Essek and decided to adopt him

I think Caleb's character arc is the one that left me the most impressed, but they all got their chances to shine. I am weirdly proud of all of these make believe people.

Honestly, looking back, they really did get far during the course of the game. What started as a mistrusting bunch of colourful assholes grew into a tight knit and surprisingly functional found family. Specially that last battle of the series, it was efficient and had so many character points in it.

I think my favourite parts were all the heart to heart conversations between the characters sprinkled throughout the series.

Fun little extra, my local library has a copy of the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount, the DnD sourcebook for the setting/continent this campaign takes place in, and I've borrowed it couple times during my watch through. It's been special bit of extra fun to whip out the giant map that comes with the book and follow the party's travels on it while watching the game sessions.

(I may or may not have bought myself the Beauregard sleeveless hoodie thing with my last month's fun money. It is soft and comfy and it has pockets.)

And so many other thoughts, but that was literally 141 episodes with the combined runtime of over five and half hundred hours. Took me about a year or so, though 3/4 of the campaign was marathoned within the last three-ish months because of not having social life.

I think I want to give a bit of a rewatch to the first episode or few, now that I've seen the whole story. Refresh how it all started.

4. movie of the year?

well quite simply it's bottoms. I've watched it like seven times and it never disappointed it's the funniest movie I've ever seen in my life I recommend it to everybody. frankly it's the movie of the century.

9. best month for you this year?

see I could say may but I would be lying and all three friendships that I solidified that month have imploded and also the um. everything that was going on that month. you were there. so I have to say july. which is honestly one of the reasons I'm so upset about the ten days of diary. like first of all dani was here that's the most obvious. but low key that mountain trip with my dad was fun af and that was also my most recent near death experience so it was memorable. I was kind of like. miserable in hindsight. I won't get into it but the stomach issues were not quite as resolved as they are now. BUT that was the month I went on that super epic amazing walk and ate an apple and sat on a bench outside of a church as the sun went down and it was beautiful. runner up honorable mention for january I was just listening to new clear days and reading the secret history and rewatching infinity train and doing jack and shit with the absolutely zero friends I had that month. which sounds like it sucks but I was fr having the time of my life. AND I discovered the science building that month so I spent all my time in there. woah that was a lot sorry

11. something you want to do again next year?

this is such a lame answer but go to concerts. the last time I went to one before this year was panic in 7th grade but I went to taylor (😐) and chappell this year and I was like wait that wasn't as miserable as I thought. and I'm already going to fall out boy and eliza mclamb (my sister loves her) next year but hopefully I can go to more random shows in my city with my radio friend

👔Design process for [x] character

oh my god guys ask me about my magical girl designs and i will go insane i will type up a whole essay. i'll talk about kyrie cause i like her a lot

here's the design! so she drowned (or rather, was drowned by someone else) at 16 after being stalked for a couple months and eventually kidnapped. not exactly the lightest story, but bc it was so traumatic her brain erased the memories, and she doesn't find out the real cause of death until much later in the story, when kye comes across a guy who lived in kyrie's town and gets the full story.

her outfit is themed after ophelia for. obvious reasons. i looked up paintings/common interpretations of ophelia and found that she was commonly depicted in a white and gold dress with reddish-brown hair half up. oh, and flowers. so i ran with that. the white streaks in her hair were actually not part of the initial plan, but when i was using the bucket tool it left blank streaks and i just thought it looked nice.

for the flowers i chose forget-me-nots because she loses her memory, and then the hands on the skirt represent her fight to stay alive (both while drowning and before) and how she reached out for help in the months leading up to her death but no one answered. she's also, in a way, reaching for her lost memories, who she used to be, etc etc. the blue thingy in the back was initially supposed to be a mermaid tail as like. a single callback to the little mermaid (and the fact that she was a really good swimmer, so it's ironic that she drowned), but i took the mermaid aspect out & added in the two eyes.

the eyes are like. the feeling of being watched. the eye at the front will always look at kyrie no matter what, and the eye in the back will look at anyone else it can find, as if pleading for help. i just noticed the bracelet? not sure why that's there. probably just for fun. anyways the ring with the star on it is from a play called 'the princess who had no name', which is about a princess with amnesia who's trying to find out who she is and where she came from.

and finally, the weapon! it's meant to be a sparkler, like the little fireworks yk? it's a callback to the very first draft of her character from like 2 years ago, back when the kyries shared the name lylie instead & i had written absolutely nothing about her character. but i was reading through the old plot/character info a while ago and i found out she apparently really liked fireworks??? that was like my only piece of info about her. i figured since she'd changed so much it was only fair i put a little something from her roots. but the sparkler can also represent how 'bright' she appears to be; people are drawn towards her, for better or worse.

📆Earliest fandom you did fanart for/first fanart

the first fandom i remember like really being hyperfixated on was.... miraculous ladybug................. BUT i didn't make any fanart for it, so instead you get the very first real piece of art i ever made on my computer :)

shoutout to me for drawing those wings by hand. i didn't know how to use the flip tool so i just spent like 4 hours trying to make them symmetrical. and now i can't even remember how to draw butterfly wings. smh

i'll go with that aubrey piece from one of the earliest questions. i like how the emotions came across in both her expression and the coloring, and how much more fluid the pose is. i think the shading & rendering is neat. overall it's a big improvement from the piece i was redrawing so im really proud of that & it's nice to see how far i've come in a relatively short amount of time

⏳Things you’d do differently with [x] drawing

using the same drawing, uhh... idk there's some stuff with the proportions that like. sometimes looks fine to me and sometimes looks off? i really just eyeball anatomy and stuff so it's not always particularly Good. i like the colors i have here but they're not the colors i was intending to use. i didn't really know how to draw the jacket and everything i did with the top just looked strange so they're not As Detailed or 'good' as they probably could be? there's parts where i got lazy and all that but all in all i really like this drawing and nothing big really jumps out at me, these are all just nitpicks
