Okay so I’ve done the math and there’s 22 TW boys and 1 MC so if we’re trying to calculate the number of potential ships it’s 23 x 22 which is 506 ships. This is ridiculous but it can be cut down by excluding outlandish ships that would never happen, such as, I don’t know, Rook x Ortho, but it doesn’t even include the staff (Crowley, Sam, Crewel, Trein, Vargas) or popular OT3s such as Jade x Azul x Floyd. Idk why I calculated this but this is my life and these are my choices. Oh, and there’s loosely mentioned characters/side characters that people make fanart of such as Prince Rielé and Chenya.

I realized that the first calculation I did only applies if the position of the items in the sample is important, which is called a permutation. That’s valid if it’s important to you who tops and bottoms in the ship which would mean the order is important (ex. Floyd x Leona and Leona x Floyd would both be counted) but if you want to know how many ships there are in TW in general with the main shippable characters you would need to use the combination equation. n is the number of items in the set and r is the number of items being taken from the sample. The exclamation point is a factorial if you remember that from math (meaning 23! is 23 x 22 x 21 x 20 x 19…etc.). When you put that all in the total number of TW ships excluding NRC staff and side characters is 253. Yes I realized I’m a moron because I could’ve just divided 506 by 2. Yes I’m bored waiting for a plane at the airport.

Burn out is a very common phenomenon when we are not being able to create harmony in our private and professional life.
