Soft Japanese Pillows - IVE - Rei x M! Reader (+18)

This is a crime, I'm still just halfway through my wattpad update and yet I got sidetracked by Rei but who cares? It's for my baby. Enjoy yall, part 2 maybe?

You honestly have no idea on how you've managed to get here and browse pillows. All you know is that, you just came out of work, your neck is killing you and the thought of having a good rest at home isn't really that good.

Stumbling upon a still open bedroom furniture store at this late in the hour, you just told yourself, fuck it might as well upgrade your sleep for a while you're at it.

"What makes them so great again?" You asked and the lady once more beamed with a smile due to your interest.

"Well, like we were talking about earlier, this is made from authentic Japanese materials. It's versatile, comfortable and long lasting." She smiled throughout the presentation.

"It does feel nice in hand." You complimented and that just made Rei even happier.

"These pillows also come in different sizes, so you can have them in small or large." She added before winking subtly at you.

"Alright... Rei." You called by the name displayed on her name tag after doing a bit more inspection of the pillow.

You're currently on the verge of actually purchasing it and Rei knows this but she wasn't just satisfied with verbal promotion. She suddenly took your hand and led you to a more secluded section of the store. It was surprisingly nerve-wracking as she just fixed the test bed and you stood there with the pillow in hand.

"There's actually another quality that I forgot to mention..." She paused for a bit as her eyes stared intently at yours.

"Sir, remember earlier when I said that it's long lasting? I wasn't only talking about the material. I'm talking about the feel of them." A devilish smile from Rei sends shivers down your spine as she then sits on the test bed.

"W-what d-do you mean?" You're currently a stuttering mess.

"The feel of it will remain with you forever." She smiled.

You can clearly see how her thighs got squished flat on the soft surface. Rei knows where your eyes are and she intends to keep it there, she slowly raises her one leg and places it on top of the other.

Swallowing a great amount of saliva as she gives you that adorable chuckle she had from earlier when you entered the store asking for some assistance.

"Now! To experience it first-hand..." She then placed the pillow on her lap before gently patting it as if she was pertaining to something.

"Come on sir... I don't bite." Rei's tone was so confusing adding a little hint at the end of her sentence paired with her sly smile.

You just can't help it, you surrendered yourself trusting that she means well. Laying your head on her lap with the pillow and geez! If it isn't one of the most comfortable feeling you've ever felt. Or is it?

"Mhmmm." You didn't mean to but you accidentally let out a moan as your tension was being let out.

"Does it feel good, sir?" She asked before brushing a bit of your hair away and caressing your cheek.

"Y-... yes?!" You were honestly about to stand up but it was such a calming feeling not just from the pillow but also Rei's touch.

"You can feel it, right sir? The strain on your neck is no longer there."

She wasn't wrong so you just agreed; "Right." Before closing your eyes.

"Mmmhhuwaaa." And that was something.

You jolted up like a deer hearing a gunshot, you can see the shock in Rei's face, taking a feel of your forehead with your hand, you feel a damped spot on it and once you look at your fingertips you can see a hint of red tint on it.

"W-wha–." You think about questioning what the hell is going on but you couldn't even get to the half of your thought seeing Rei's pout.

"I'm sorry sir. I was looking at your face and you seemed really relaxed and I thought I'd help you to relax even more."

Hearing the guilt in her tone, sends knife stabs to your heart. Rei has been nothing but helpful to you this whole evening yet you're here snapping on her for something so trivial.

"I'm sorry– I was... I was just shocked." You pleaded and gladly the sadness in her eyes disappears.

"I'm sorry as well sir, let me make it up to you." Rei suddenly reaches for your hand pulling you closer.

"I'll give you another sample of a very special product and this time I'm positively sure it's 100% authentic Japanese."

Rei yanks away the quality pillow before pulling your face down towards her soft and supple thighs. Oh boy aren't you so wrong with even considering the pillow earlier as a 'good quality' product. As your face rests on top of Rei's thighs

Despite the slightest difficulty in breathing, you honestly don't mind it at all, especially when given the chance of taking in Rei's scent. It was warm and cozy, as she added the feeling of brushing her delicate fingers on your hair.

Silly idea but what if Jake's dad actually loves Bradley

So, they're together around flight school time and Jake actually has a good relationship with his dad (it's his mom that went crazy when he came out -- his parents are currently divorced because of it, too) so he introduces Bradley to his dad when they have a free weekend in Kingsville and drive up north to the Seresin ranch.

And Jake's dad instantly adores Bradley. Like, calls him son from the first day and tells Jake he has to marry him someday (when they're out of the Navy, obviously). They actually have a lot in common, same taste in old cars, same taste in oldie music, Donny Seresin absolutely adores that Bradley can play piano and sing, and they have the same old man taste in drinks and Bradley is quite good as a mechanic (repairs a tractor the first day he's there) and they just can talk for hours without feeling awkward since day one. And Jake's dad can clearly see that Jake's boy has been through a lot and he's as soft as Jake so he takes it personally.

Since then, Jake's dad and Bradley actually talk more often than he talks with Jake. Jake finds it hysterical but also a bit sweet that his old man and his boyfriend (who is mentally a bit of an old man himself) get along so well when Jake thought there would be shovel talks and treating to bury Bradley's body somewhere on their farm if he hurts Jake.

One day, Donny Seresin just tells Bradley to call him dad. Obviously, Bradley feels weird about it since he already had two dads and a pops and they're all just bittersweet memories so he's like, I'm sorry I can't call you that, my dads are just still---

Donny Seresin tells him to call me pa, then and Bradley does. Donny gets two father's day cards from Kingsville.

When he finds out Bradley's got no one to pin his wings when they finish flight school, he volunteers. Jake gets his pinned by his sisters and Bradley gets his pinned by Jake's dad.

Thing is, Mav is in the audience that day. He knew he'd be crossing a line if he showed up on the scene to do the winging but there's this strange man who's pinning the wings on his son and he can't take it, he's miserable and fuming and just so angry (with himself, mostly).

Jake and Bradley break up and Bradley stops calling Donny. Donny waits a couple of months before calling Bradley, on father's day of all days, saying I think you forgot to wish someone happy father's day.

And they start talking again. And Jake hates it. At first.

Their break up wasn't as explosive as people think --- one day Bradley was there, arguing about which cereals they should buy, the next he was packing his stuff and flying to Japan without telling Jake a thing, not picking up his phone. Jake reacts to even a mention of Bradley with disdain.

His dad says something about Bradley sending him Japanese whisky and Jake explodes.

Then a few weeks later, his dad mentions Bradley had an emergency sea landing and Jake is still pissed but also worried. Because he's still in love with Bradley.

So he allows it. Pretends he's mad whenever his dad mentions Bradley while secretly being grateful he can keep tabs on Bradley somehow.

Fast forward after the mission, Bradley and Mav (and Ice) reconcile and Jake and Bradley get back together.

Donny Seresin comes to San Diego for holidays and to visit his sons. Bradley takes it as an opportunity to introduce him to Mav and Ice and just to make their family meet officially Jake tells his dad all about how much of big names Mav and his husband are in the Navy and Jake's dad is like, well, to me they're just a pair of crap parents.

When they all meet, one could cut tension with a knife because Mav recognizes him instantly as the guy who pinned Bradley's wings.

And then Bradley calls Donny pa in front of everyone.

Mav is green with jealousy the whole evening (which later shapes into wallowing in self-pity) that this stranger got to be a dad to Bradley in some capacity throughout the years he didn't. Especially that Bradley is still feeling a bit wary and hasn't called them dad or pops again yet.

Meanwhile Jake is even more hysterical about the thing because he's just realized it means Bradley has four dads in total.

madatowa drama cd notes as someone who has very limited jp knowledge. i am simply using my 4 yrs of high school japanese, google translate, and a dream. just posting this for fun so it’s not like an official translation or anything it’s just basically me describing what’s happening to the best of my ability and also being insane about them

major events that happened that i could make out as like a tldr

-mada reunited with someone he knew when he was little

-towa learns abt mada’s past, mainly around a guy named “kurahashi”

-mayu eiji and kotarou appearance :D being sillies as always

-two yowie moments. first one in an alleyway second one presumably in their home. both are freak nasty as usual madatowa shenanigans

-somebody notices them and gives them a job. presumably to fight people

-towa fights some people and it riles him up

-this part has already been translated but i just wanna scream abt it here bc!!!!!! towa brings him and mada into like an alleyway or something and he goes “hit me. it has to be you.” and mada says something like “you really are a lost cause/what am i going to do with you, huh?” hits him n his mouth fills with blood and towa kisses mada to make him taste it dnnsjdjd ❤️

-they have a quickie in the third track in said alleyway like the freaks they are

-a character (acquaintance of mada) called him “kei” which was kinda crazy to me since nobody called him that in the vn

ok so. i’m not gonna give a full review since i didn’t understand all of what they were saying but i saw on twt some people are going to start translating it? so perhaps i’ll relisten once a translation is out and give my full thoughts but as of now i loved it regardless. i missed towa and madarame a lot i love their dynamic 💔 just a bunch of freaks fighting mfs occasionally and going anywhere but still sticking beside one other. im rly glad i actually bought it because i get to listen to it whenever AND it’ll probably feel like the first time once i finally listen to it along with an eng translation so i actually know wtf is GOING ON

anyways hi and thank u if u read this whole thing. ’m gonna buy the rest of them soon and also make a review post but probably not as long. the reason is because god i MISSED TOWAS VOICE SO MUCH LOL i must hear it again. that is all

Your ask is about this post, right?

So looking at my examples, you can interpret it that way with some if you want, but with others...not so much.

I hope you actually want to hear me out, because this might get a bit long. Apologies in advance. 😅

-I can't imagine how awkward it'd be to view them as sıblıngs considering some of the suggestive things they do in canon. Personally, I think it'd be pretty weird to grab/tug on a sıblıng's apron when there's nothing underneath and say it "matches them well".

-If someone talks about your sıblıng being good looking, I don't think most people would get flustered enough to start sweating and trying to play it cool. I feel like the sıblıng equivalent would involve something more like eye-rolling.

-For the cake one, sure, you could interpret it as them being goofy in-universe, but from a meta perspective, putting an item that is so heavily associated with you on top of the cake seems to me like putting the wedding figures at the top. It comes off as intentional fan service, which Hima often likes to include.

-For Valentine's Day, the scene with Alfred and Arthur is paired narratively right alongside the shippy GerIta stuff. Additionally, there is a note that says this:

"In Europe, it's traditional for lovers to give gifts to each other."

"In America, giving gifts is also mainly done between lovers."

It does indeed mention male to female, but only to give cultural trivia about the difference between Europe and America. The important part is the emphasis on lovers, and we all know Hetalia doesn't shy away from same-sex shippy moments – as evidenced by Germany proposing to Italy in the very same strip. Speaking of proposals, one dynamic that closely parallels Arthur/Alfred is that of Antonio/Lovino, and Antonio tried proposing to Lovino in the manga.

I digress.

-Sıblıngs typically don't suggest ideas like dressing in sexy outfits and swaying their hips provocatively. Which reminds me, I forgot to include a similar scene in my post where Alfred intentionally has Arthur wear a Robin costume that shows off his legs. Yes, intentionally.

"Also, didn't you notice your costume is from the movie and mine is from the comic?"

Of course Alfred would notice. There's no way a big Batman fan like him would've chosen Arthur's costume carelessly, but instead of answering why Arthur has the skimpy version of Robin's costume when it doesn't even match his, Alfred instantly deflects. He then proceeds to tell Arthur to stop crouching and show – ...something. Based on what Arthur is covering, the logical assumption is that Alfred is telling Arthur to show off his legs.

-"Are you fighting like an old married couple again?" Self-explanatory. If they were sıblıngs he could just say, "Are you having a sibling squabble again?"

-Cardverse is a canon AU by Hima, and Alfred and Arthur are the King and Queen. Magical Strike is also a canon AU, in which Alfred has a fαthεr who is the company president. No other fαmiliαl relations are given. Arthur is a salaryman who simply works for the company.

-There's the scene where Arthur is dying that plays on the "near-death love confession" trope.

-Other characters comment on their relationship...

Again, if it was brοthεrly they could just call it a brοthεrly quarrel. It comes off to me more as teasing friends who could potentially have romantic feelings for each other.

-Tony sees it, too, teasingly commenting "Love me bubu. Kiss me bubu," in reaction to Arthur and Alfred's conversation. He doesn't normally say things like that, either.

-Terms like "big brοthεr" in Hetalia shouldn't automatically be taken literally. They are used in a more Japanese sense (e.g. calling a somewhat older person who isn't related to you "big brοthεr" out of respect). France calls himself "big brοthεr" to literally everyone and even Norway refers to Denmark as "brοthεr".

-Regardless of how you interpret their usage of "big brοthεr", Arthur decides against being called that right away, Alfred himself rejects the idea of it during the Revolution, and Arthur later claims their relationship is "not like that" and fumbles for a way to describe it, mainly considering himself as more of a former mentor or boss.

So I believe that after the Revolution, it's most accurate to consider them as coworkers or friends (who may or may not be attracted to each other).

At the end of the day, you can interpret it however you want. But with how often USUK fans are given a hard time for liking this ship, I wanted to point out that we're not pulling this stuff out of nowhere. It's hinted at and given shippy fan service moments just like several other ships.

I only really disagree with people constantly insisting they MUST be fαmily. Romance vs fαmiliαl are NOT the only two options. I would honestly like to see more non-shippers just let them be friends. Just because I ship it doesn't mean others have to, and just because some perceive it in a fαmiliαl way doesn't mean everyone else must view it like that, either.

And to those who do decide to hop aboard our ship, welcome! We have lots of variety to offer and are always glad for more people to have fun chatting about ideas with.

synopsis: everything started out so well, your relationship with giselle was amazing. she changed so much, she changed for the worse. with all that she did to you you couldn't help but wonder, was this really love?

a/n: i posted this but then i really didn't like it so i changed it and now i like it🤗🤗

You were a part of (G)I-dle but before that you had been in Produce 101 with Soyeon. You were the youngest in Produce 101, having been 14 when you went on Produce along with Soyeon and Eunbin. You were exceptional in both singing and dancing, even though you were so young you had managed to keep your position in a class (b at the lowest) throughout the entire show. Before Produce 101 you hadn't had many friends seeing as you spent all your time training. Sure you had Soyeon, but she was more of an older sister to you than a friend.

When you joined Produce 101 and met Somi you were overjoyed, you finally had someone your age that you could relate to and talk to. From the moment you joined Produce, Somi caught your eye, and after one conversation with her you knew you two would get along very well. She completely matched your personality. You and Somi had been very popular after the episodes were aired as both of you didn't lack in visuals or talent. Sadly you hadn't been popular enough and didn't make it to debut with Somi. Despite this, your determination to debut and become famous never faded, telling yourself it was better like this and that you’d debut with Soyeon instead.

Ever since their debut you had been a huge fan of aespa, having listened to all their songs and bought all their albums. You had spoken out about it too, how much you loved aespa and their music. Most of all, you loved one japanese member in aespa. Ever since you heard their first song it was her voice that caught your attention, and when you saw her? You knew you had to have her, you wouldnt rest until you did.

Somi coincidentally had been good friends with Giselle too, and after a lot of begging she finally introduced you to her. You and Giselle completely hit it off, at the first meeting you two were already planning the second.

After having met, you two were inseparable, with her always being at your dorm and you at hers. With how close you became with Giselle in such a short time, it was no surprise to any of your friends when your friendship progressed to more.

When Soyeon was first told of your relationship with Aeri being more than friends, she became very wary of the girl. She considered you her younger sister and had heard a lot of rumors about Aeri and all her flings with girls. Aeri was known to be a rumored heartbreaker, having a new girl every week. The last thing Soyeon wanted was for you to end up with a broken heart. She also knew how easily manipulated you were and the thought that someone would use you made her sick.

“Aeri where were you?! I've been waiting literal hours for you, you promised you wouldn't do this again!” you yelled as soon as Aeri entered her room.

Today was one of the rare off days you both had and she planned a date. You were left waiting at the restaurant for 2 hours telling yourself she would come any minute, minutes turned to hours and you eventually realized she wasn't coming.

You felt humiliated, stood up at the reservation she made. After confirming with Karina that Giselle was indeed off today you went to the aespa dorms and just waited in Aeri’s room.

“Get off my back holy shit, you're so dramatic. So what I had other things to do and I forgot we can reschedule.” she responded starting to get mad, who were you to yell at her.

“This is literally the second time you’ve done this, why can't you consider my feelings and how i must’ve felt getting stood up twice.” you tried to reason, make her understand why you were upset.

“Literally shut up oh my god, if all you’re gonna do is complain get the fuck out of my room and leave. I'm tired. It's been a long day, either get in bed and sleep or go back to your dorm. I really don't care.” Giselle said as she stripped from her current clothes and put on her pajamas.

“I fucking hate you.”

“Get in bed”

And that’s exactly what you did, you laid down and turned your face away from her, you laid at the very edge of the bed trying to get as far away from her as you could. You wanted her to know that you were upset and werent gonna cuddle. In response to this she simply put an arm around your waist and pulled you closer to her body, spooning you. This is what would always happen, and you would let it happen. this was her way of resolving fights because she knew you could never refuse her.

The next morning when you woke up Giselle wasn't there next to you, in place of her laid a small note declaring her love for you and how she would take you out again. But she didn't apologize, she never did.

Giselle was someone who simply couldn't accept their mistake, her pride never allowed her to. It was as if she was allergic to apologizing, even if she wanted to she couldn't ever bring herself to apologize. The thought of her having to bend down and admit she was at fault? Never in her wildest dreams would she do that, she had too much of an ego to ever admit that she was at fault.

That same day Giselle had gone to your dorm when the time was nearing midnight. Showing up with a bouquet of roses in one hand and a basket in the other.

“Wait right here.” she said as you two arrived at the park near your dorm.

You watched as she quickly ran over to a spot that was out of your sight, you assumed that there had been a blanket (maybe some snacks) in the basket. Either way you didnt move from the spot she had left you at. feeling excitement growing in your chest the longer she took.

You wished and hoped she had set up something big but you tried to stay realistic and not get your hopes up too high. you told yourself that she might be having troubles with setting up the blanket.

When it almost seemed like too long of a wait time (only a couple of minutes had felt like forever) she came back excitedly telling you to cover your eyes, to which you did as she led you towards where she had been. You couldn't help but feel excitement when she did all this, you had seen this scene multiple times in movies and you couldn't help but wish this would be like the movies

She tapped your shoulder and told you to open your eyes when you two arrived at where she had been. As your eyes opened you couldn't help but let out an automatic gasp at the sight of everything. It was exactly like the movies. She had led you into a small area completely surrounded by bushes and a couple of trees that she had covered in fairy lights. It was completely concealed from anyone else, being a small personal space for the two of you. On the grass she had laid a pastel blue fluffy blanket and on that she had a bunch of your favorite snacks, her laptop, and a bunch of pillows.

“I found this place when i was still a trainee and i haven't told anyone about it so i guess it could just be our little spot from now on.” she said as she waited for you to jump on her and shower her with compliments for being so sweet and planning all this.

“I love you sosososo much this is actually so amazing and thank you so much for planning this!” you said as you went to kiss her.

After breaking off the short lived kiss she sat down on the blanket and patted the spot next to her. You sat down wordlessly as she opened her laptop and put on mean girls, a movie that was favorited by you both. You both laid back and ate as you watched the movie happily. You felt like a character in a movie or book, you loved her so much and you couldn't believe she had been this thoughtful.

Before you knew it the movie had already ended and as you checked the time on your phone your eyes widened. It was already 2am and you had a schedule tomorrow, you pondered on leaving right now and getting some sleep but ultimately decided against it. You'd rather stay with Aeri, sleep was overrated anyways.

You woke up the next morning to your phone ringing, lifting your head from Aeri’s chest and drowsily answered the call. You were immediately woken up by the shouting of your roommate Yuqi on the other end.

“Where the fuck are you?! I told Soyeon you were in the bathroom but you’ve now been in the bathroom for 10 minutes to her! Get the fuck back right now before she kills both me and you!” Yuqi yelled at you through the phone

“Okay, okay I'm sorry.” you replied before hanging up at checking the time on your phone, whispering curses when you realized you had 20 minutes to get back to the dorms and get ready.

Hearing all the noise you were making, Aeri woke up and tiredly asked you what had happened and you quickly explained the situation to her. She immediately got up and grabbed her laptop and your hand to walk you back to your dorm. You both walked back in a comfortable silence as she was still half asleep and you were stressed out of your mind.

“Thank you for last night babe, i love you.” you kissed her goodbye as you two arrived at your dorm.

And as if sensing you were there Soyeon opened the door of your dorm mid kiss and you immediately jumped away from Giselle. She just stared at you and told you to get in and ready seeing as you had close to 10 minutes left. You awkwardly waved to Giselle and Soyeon shut the door looking at you disappointedly she never approved of your relationship with Giselle.

You wanted to say something, but nothing was coming out of your mouth. You felt bad disobeying her but you loved Giselle. Why couldn't she understand that?

“why, why can’t i ever be prioritized? you always ditch me and it hurts. it fucking hurts to know you’re at a bar flirting with others and ditching me.” you sobbed out, you had lost count at how many times she had done this

she always did this, she always ditched you. at this point you didn’t even know why she kept you around. you loved her so fucking much it hurt, it hurt to stay with her. you wondered what you had ever done to deserve this, you had never been this bad to anyone.

“babe no matter what i do i always come back to you no? you’ll always be my priority, i just like to talk to people. you know it doesn’t mean anything.” she said in a calm voice, you knew it was all an act, she was pretending to be sober.

but you could taste it on her tongue when you kissed, you could smell the perfume of the girl she had just fucked on her dress when you took it off. you didn't know what to do.

you didn’t want to believe it. so you didn't, when you were left standing outside of her room hearing the moans of a girl that wasn’t you.

you just stood in front of the door, you didn’t make an attempt to stop what you knew was happening. none of the girls were home, if they were they never would’ve let you enter. they probably would’ve said some bullshit like Giselle was out. whenever they told you things like this you just left, you knew they were lies. you weren’t stupid.

you knew any sane person would leave, but you weren’t sane, she made you insane. you loved her like crazy, you weren’t like this before, she changed you. made you the perfect girlfriend for her who never said anything.

you sometimes wondered if you ever even had any self respect, it was humiliating, to know what she was doing yet actively doing nothing about it.

when you first caught her with another girl you just stood there in shock, you didn’t know how to react. as if she could feel your presence, Giselle turned to face you, her fingers still deep inside the other girl. she didn’t stop though, she just stared at you while fucking the girl. and you just stood there crying, you were heartbroken. we’re you not enough? did you not do enough? did she not like you anymore?

eventually when the girl noticed you standing there crying she pushed Giselle off of her apologizing to you saying she didn’t know Aeri had a girlfriend. apparently Aeri didn’t remember she had one, judging by her actions.

“babe you know it’s only you that i love, sometimes i just need someone else to satisfy my needs when you’re away but they’re nothing. they’re nothing to me, you should be glad that i always end up back with you. you’re the one for me, they’re all just side hoes that don’t mean anything other than a quick fuck.” Giselle said as she approached you, her fingers still wet from the other girl.

you didn’t know what to say or do so you just nodded and let her comfort you.

You couldn't fathom ever losing Giselle, that was probably your worst nightmare, to have Giselle tell you she no longer loved you. You knew staying was terrible, maybe even worse than losing her. You were stuck in a never ending loop with her breaking your heart and you acting upset but ultimately letting it go. after a while you stopped getting upset, there was no point. talking to her was talking to a wall.

You felt like you were suffocating keeping all your emotions to yourself, Soyeon already hated giselle, why would you want to add to the fire? Somi? Somi was Giselle's best friend, she probably only fell second to you. Your members? They would probably stop supporting your relationship with Giselle and be like Soyeon.

Whenever you told yourself it’d be the last time for you to let what she was doing slide she would make it up to you extravagantly. How could you stay mad when she was trying so hard and doing so much for you. She could really fuck you up sometimes but she always knew how to make it okay afterwards.

Double: Initial Thoughts

Hello Milgram community! It's time to talk about Mikoto's second MV, Double! This is pretty fun for me, given that Mikoto is actually the first prisoner whose MV I watched when it came out. I have gotten so much better at theorizing. The old theory is... meh. Ignore it, it was wrong and doesn't really matter.

Though, to be honest, and I think people will agree here -- I don't feel like Double actually gave us much to work with. The biggest thing is the confirmation (in my opinion) that there for sure only are two alters, which makes things easier to figure out, not harder. Because of this, these initial thoughts might be a bit less interesting than normal. Still, I'll do my best!

For the sake of this theory, I'll be using @onigiriico's English translation of Mikoto's new audio drama, Neoplasm! Thanks as always for your great work! I'd also like to thank everyone who sent in help with the translations! I'll be using Rochisama's (@barudo's) translation post, which translates all of the Japanese background text in the MV.

Also, as you'll see in the audio drama, Es takes to calling Orekoto John and Bokuto Mikoto. I... will not be doing that. They're called Bokuto and Orekoto to me based on the personal pronouns they use.

Disclaimer: I'm for sure not an expert on DID, so if I say anything wrong/offensive please let me know so I can correct it!

Anyways though, here's what thoughts I do have!

Orekoto's alter developed as a result of stress in Bokuto's life.

This is pretty much straight-up confirmed in the audio drama.

Orekoto: … I think… I might be the person Boku wishes he was. The person who stubbornly stands his ground, who doesn’t cry himself to sleep from stress, who gives people their payback. If I, the “ore” personality, hadn’t been born, I’m sure Boku would have reached his limit and fallen apart.

Based on this, we know that there's some general stressor going on in Bokuto's life, and we know that Orekoto seems like the new alter who developed for the sake of protecting Bokuto. I believe that's what's pictured at the beginning of the MV:

The glass breaking is most likely meant to display the "fracturing" of Mikoto's identity, signifying the creation of the Orekoto alter.

The most obvious stressor in Bokuto's life seems to be work. At the beginning of the MV (0:12-0:18), we see Mikoto's phone with text messages. The text translates as follows:

Chief (7 mins ago) Regarding the first draft you submitted today, I think option B might be the best after all, so can you remake by the morning.

Chief (5 mins ago) Also I forgot to mention, but you also made a lot of mistakes with the one we spoke about earlier, so make sure it’s all fixed too. This one also needs to be ready by morning, so I’ll leave it to you to get everything ready.

It seems like his "Chief," likely the boss of his job, is demanding a lot of work from him, and Bokuto is struggling to keep up with his work. On the whole, it seems like Bokuto is kinda just struggling to cope with living.

You’re overdoing it, you’re already broken

I was having such a hard time, I was trying so hard

That's what Orekoto comes into the picture.

Orekoto killed ??? people.

We don't know how many people he may have killed! The video is... pretty nonspecific about it. There are definitely multiple mannequins that he smashed, which for sure implies multiple.

Based on MeMe, I thought it was only one person, just because it seems like he only hid one body. Based on the new audio drama, I don't think he killed multiple different times, either.

Es: Who did you kill? Orekoto: Just someone who was walking around nearby. Es: … How many did you kill? Orekoto: Can’t remember. I was first born back then, you know. It’s kinda fuzzy.

If the murder happened right around when he was "first born," it would make sense if it's only the one time, right? It's possible that this is meant to refer to a broader time frame and I'm taking "first" too literally here, but I still think it's a definite possibility that he only killed one person.

It's gonna be hard to get a confirmation on that one, since it seems like Bokuto and Orekoto don't know the actual number. Still, we can look at the crime out of context of the body count and try to determine our forgiveness of that.

Neither Bokuto nor Orekoto are coping well with the guilty verdict.

Bokuto is, understandably, distressed. He's aware enough to realize that things have changed and that something must be happening while he's "sleeping," but he still seems to have no idea what's actually happening or who Orekoto is.

Notably, in both MeMe and Double, Bokuto is seen reacting to Orekoto in at least some ways. However, the way it's portrayed, I don't really think that's a lie or feigned innocence in any way. My best guess is that it's just using the visuals of what actually happened while showing Bokuto's distress with not knowing what's happening.

Either way, Bokuto was heading straight for a mental breakdown before accidentally committing ??? murders and getting told he's guilty for it by a weird mystery prison, so it's not surprising at all that he's faring poorly.

As Orekoto hypothesizes in the audio drama, the amount of stress Bokuto is under is actually why we've seen Orekoto fronting so much more now. Orekoto exists to help Bokuto escape from the stress of his day to day life, and given that Milgram has become extremely stressful, Orekoto fronts a lot.

Orekoto isn't doing super well either, though, likely as a result of the toll everything is taking on Bokuto. He exists and did what he did solely to protect Bokuto, so the fact that it's causing Bokuto stress and potentially endangering him definitely isn't something he'd be happy about. The MV focuses on this pretty heavily at the end.

The audio drama tells us that Orekoto is perfectly willing to own up to his guilt and take the blame for what he did. He's very clear about Bokuto not having done anything, though, and insists he has no idea what was going on. He was only dreaming.

I have no idea how the end of MeMe plays into this video.

I interpreted Orekoto handing Bokuto the death card as a moment where Orekoto shows Bokuto his existence and letting him know about the murders, but like I said, I don't really believe Bokuto knows anymore. If that's the case, though, I have NO clue what that scene was supposed to mean. I can't really figure out how to piece Double and MeMe together, and based on how little I feel like I got out of Double, it concerns me to just disregard MeMe-based theories entirely.

That being said...

VERDICT: INNOCENT

Please vote him innocent. For pretty much any reason I can think of, an innocent verdict is better.

Orekoto is right when he says that Milgram clearly instructs us to judge Bokuto specifically; Orekoto isn't a prisoner in regards to restraints or rules, but Bokuto is. If you're judging based on forgiveness, if Bokuto truly didn't know, it's hard not to forgive him, even if he arguably shares guilt.

Mikoto in general is probably more likely to have a further mental breakdown if we keep applying pressure with a guilty verdict, which in turn makes him more likely to lash out in stress again and kill another prisoner. We can't restrain Orekoto, who would likely continue fronting in the face of a guilty verdict, and we already know that his high-stress coping mechanism is killing whoever walks by. It's the safer option to vote innocent.

And then there's the fact that I just, like... want to help him? Genuinely forgive him? I don't want to vote Mikoto guilty. There's no point, and I just disagree with it. I'm pretty firmly in the innocent camp on this one, and based on the votes, it seems like a lot of people agree.

Now Dokucha sat in the counter of the kitchen watching as Thatch about grabbing different ingredients and mixtures from the shelves

“Thatch I swear it was an accident”

“You really think I'm gonna buy that? That you poisoned my tea on accident?” he hums looking at the label of one of the bottles he had grabbed

“Was Marco finding you running towards one of our junior boats also an accident?”

They flinch at this; somehow, the relaxed and nonchalant way he was talking made it much scarier than when he was visibly fuming

They slowly began to lower themselves from the counter

“Listen, I-

“If you leave that counter, I promise you, Darling, things will be much worse for you,” he said, glancing at them from the corner of his eye

Their eyes widen at his silent threat, and they are quick to climb up again

Thatch grabs the bottle, and picks begins to move it around; his movements were slow and deliberate, but it was obvious he was furious.

"Now, just what were you planning to do, hmm?" he asks calmly.

“Nothing! Like I said, it was an accident!”

"You just accidentally grabbed poison and mixed it with my tea?" he asks calmly, still stirring the vial. He didn't even glance at Dokucha.

"Is that what you want to go with?Last chance."

“It’s the truth.”

“Is that so?” He said, grabbing a syringe from one of the drawers and filling it with the liquid in the vial

“Let’s find out then,” he stated walking towards them and taking hold of their arm

“What is that?!” They exclaim, trying to pull their arm from his grip

Thatch chuckles, pulling on their wrist a little harder.

“Let’s find out what really happened,” he said, holding the needle to their arm.

“Please…” they began to beg, trying to squirm away but not really putting in a fight. They knew there was no coming out of this.

-Timeskip-

They tried to remember what had happened, they truly did, but the last thing they were able to recall was Thatch injecting them with the liquid; after that, everything was hazy and confusing.

They seemed to be back on their bed; they tried to get up, but somehow their body would not move

Thatch sat beside them, as if nothing had happened.

He hummed a tune and began writing in his journal. He glanced at them and gave a bright smile.

"Don’t try so hard; you won’t be able to," he said, closing the journal and walking next to the bed

“Move. I mean, you probably won’t be able to speak either, but that’s okay, right, Darling? Seeing as what was coming out of your mouth was just lies, we might as well make sure nothing comes out of it for a while.”

They stared at him with widened and watery eyes, tears beginning to fall from their cheeks; at least, they thought so; they could barely register what was going around them anymore.

“Oh, that’s right, I forgot the sodium thiopental can cause amnesia. Remember when I injected you with it before? It works as a truth serum, more or less; it makes you more suggestible. Or so Marco said,” he rambled, caressing their cheek

“It’s funny what people are willing to say when under it, see you told me all about how you got a particular type of poison and how you put it on my tea when I was not looking, funniest part is not once did you mention anything about accidents. “

They tried to open their mouth to try to tell him otherwise, to tell him it was an accident, but try as they may, no sound came out of them, and Thatch seem to have realized this as he threw them a dark smile their way

Thatch was almost giddy with his mischief.

“Aw, you should have listened to me from the start instead of playing coy,” he smirked, gently cupping their face

“You know, all of this could have been avoided if you had just come clean to me

But no, you just had to be stubborn. But that’s okay. We can improve that.

Ah, I almost forgot; the reason you can’t move right now is because I gave you a paralytic so that you can take some time and…think about your decisions; we wouldn’t want you to get distracted from your reflection by things such as moving and speaking.”

“Now, I’m going to grab some food and let you ‘think,’ okay?” He gives a small smile and starts to walk out of the room, glancing back at you once to make sure you couldn’t move and. Much to their horror, he switched off the lights and closed the door, leaving them to suffer in complete darkness

I love this

I LOVE it - the use of the word for reader as the placeholder name is an interesting take format wise, it feels like a name, but the name itself is just reader. To a native English speaker it has a solid feel.

I love that the conflict already happened. The tea was already tainted before we came into the story - we’re here to witness the aftermath. Short form stories are always hard for me because of that. But you bring this in really smooth.

The perspective is good too, there’s no “you” which is often the norm, but the use of “they” gives it a stepped back 3rd person vibe which works well with this given the later out of body feels of being drugged. I’m not saying one or the other is *better*, but intentional or not I like the choice here along with the rest of it.

And man, it’s so dark, but the weight of that darkness is all in the allusions. We don’t see the interrogation, but we can imagine the small terrifying details of it. Not being able to stop the truth from rolling off our tongues as we confess to our own undoing.

The punishment too, and the sense that there’s an established fear of darkness even if it isn’t wholly stated.

There's been something going on in my head lately. This topic is about Shinichiro and I feel disappointed. Because Shinichiro is a man who I see as the ideal older brother and parent, who is really good-hearted and loves his siblings more than anything. This is definitely Shinichiro. He is a really good-hearted man who can be easily trusted. But today, some of the things written in Izana's letter confused me a lot. We had discussions about this issue on Twitter and many things came to my mind. Our topic is this friends;

Shinichiro knew that Izana was brother to Emma, so he went to the Philippines to pick up his brother. He picked up his younger brother and went back to Japan. He gave Izana an incredibly beautiful day on the first day, and in fact, in Izana's words, gave him the best day of his life. He gave her the opportunity to live her beautiful day. Afterwards, she continued to take care of him and spend the day with him. What bothers me is that Shinichiro knew that Emma and Izana were sisters. Why didn't he come and tell Emma this in the first place? Was it such a difficult thing to say that you found your brother? For God's sake, he wasn't just Emma's brother, but theirs too. As soon as he found Izana, why didn't he bring her home and introduce her to Grandpa? Why didn't he take Mikey and Emma to their orphanage visits? Why did he promise Izana an empty family?

so apparently, from the letter we saw in the trailer, we find out that shinichiro actually /knew/ that emma and izana were related and still kept them separate when he could have adopted him...shinichiro, that's so sick and twisted shit is there an adult who didn't do izana wrong?The adoption process is surely hard but at this point he could have simply brought emma to visit him and introduce izana to mikey when he got to see him at the orphanage. Mikey was positive about the idea (as we see in the manga) so why didn't Shinichiro do anything about it?When he talks to mikey asking him his opinion on having another brother , he was already an adult, so why didn't he do anything? It's like he kinda forgot about izana because they're not "related", but at that point, why did he get izana's life in the first place? Because he was Emma's brother? And like this we get to the initial point again: he could have, at least, introduced them all

Well firstly I'm pretty sure Shinichiro didn't pick Izana up from the Philippines at all. Since Izana was in a foster home adoption type place and then juvie in Japan (that's how he met Kakucho at the foster home and then the S62 at juvie). I'm also not sure how a Japanese teenager would've been just allowed to take a kid from the Philippines to Japan like that. Actually Izana doesn't even seem to have known he had family in the Philippines until Karen told him. He thought she was his mum and that he had the same dad as Shinichiro (not clear if he knew the guys name or what he looked like though).

I agree though, from our perspective it does seem like Shinichiro made a big mistake here with not introducing Izana to the others or at least telling them. However Shinichiro didn't have our perspective. Shinichiro had no idea what was going to happen or what the consequences of doing that would be. I feel like this is one of those things which will divide the fandom, with some ageeeing and some disagreeing (both are totally fine though).

Like I think Shinichiro was right not to rush into things here, taking on the care of another child is a big responsibility and Shinichiro was already practically raising two, not to mention what kind of impact a change in environment could have on Izana's mental health, a kid he had known for a few hours at this point. I don't know a lot about the irl adoption process but I'm pretty sure you have to spend more then a few hours with the kid before deciding anything. I think that's why they then started exchanging letters, as a way for them to get to know each other better and get more comfortable with each other.

I'm guessing the next part of Shinichiro's plan was to get to know Izana better and get Izana more comfortable with him before introducing him to the others. We know Shinichiro was at least thinking about introducing Izana to them because of the question he asked Mikey.

But then I'm guessing what stopped him was all the complications. Aka Mikey ripped Sanzu's face open and Izana beat up a bunch of kids and then basically forced one to take his own life. Put them together and they don't get along and you're going to have a big problem on your hands. Like I understand why Shinichiro wanted to move slowly here, this isn't something that should've been rushed. Not to mention the warning signs Izana was already showing towards Mikey by asking Shinichiro to stop talking about him and saying hearing about Mikey gives him a headache.

I'd say the main mystery here is why he didn't tell Emma/ bring Emma with him to visit. I'm not sure if he didn't wanna get her hopes up or if he wss worried about her or Izana's reaction (though they both seem like they would've been positive), or if he didn't want to make Emma keep the secret from Mikey but didn't want to let Mikey know yet. That is a bit of mystery.

Also to be completely fair to Shinichiro I don't think he ever would've expected things to play out the way they did. He was only a teenager himself when he first met Izana and even as a young adult it's a big responsibility to bring Izana into the house and make sure all his siblings were doing ok. He clearly wanted to unite them all but wanted it done in the correct way. Shinichiro has only been shown to want the best for his siblings so I'm sure he thought he was doing the right thing here. Though obviously this is just my take and we're all going to have different opinions on this.

Hello I am here to annoy you about DRDT

I've been thinking about Mai Akasaki lately and what role she could play in the story. I've been thinking about Unnamed Classmate lately and what role she could play in the story. I have been gathering screenshots from the bonus videos for an hour and half while getting distracted by everything but it's fine

SO FIRST ! People tend to assume Mai and UC (Unnamed Classmate) are the same person. I do too, because UC visibly is her own character, with a plot going on behind the scene of the bonus videos, mentionned VERY briefly ; Mai being the most mysterious character, having her own page on the tumblr, and not-part-of-the-cast, we can assume they're the same.

But it would be silly to just assume stuff like that. For now, I will be referring to them as separate people, who MIGHT be connected but might not be as well.

Let's start with Mai !

My first point here is that Mai might be a Hope's Peak Student - but from Japan

First because of the most obvious part : her name is Japanese. That can indicate she would be from Japan, but we can always believe she just is from japanese origin : the names of the DRDT cast are from various origins but they all are from Hope's Peak US

What I'm more focused on is a fact I've overlooked when first seeing her design : she seem to be wearing the Hope's Peak uniform (a personnalized version, but that's not uncommon). At first, I thought it was just proving she was an Hope's Peak (US) student and didn't think about it much, but :

Hope's Peak US and Hope's Peak JP are said to be only similar in their core concept : that sound weird, in that way, to think the uniforms would be the same. Regardless of that fact, Min herself is not wearing a uniform at all, and i believe if there WAS a uniform she would definitively wear it.

Xander's ouftit can also look like Hope's Peak uniform, but it has a logo on it while the other doesn't, and the logo looks nothing like Hope's Peak's (I'm not sure what it is, i might just be stupid)

Edit : Silly me forgot that Xander wore his old school uniform ! Can't add screen since I'm on app rn but he says it during Levi's introduction. Problem solved !

So Mai is wearing the Hope's Peak JP uniform ! Unless her fashion sense is copying their uniform, I think it's safe to assume she went there at some point.

So if she IS an Hope's Peak student, she must have an Ultimate. And then there's the line associated to Min's code, referring to Mai, that always surprise me :

That is NOT something you usually say when referring to an Ultimate. Who is supposed to have a talent.

So what if Mai is the Ultimate Lucky Student ? Hope's Peak is not exactly known for taking any average student except in that case, especially Hope's Peak JP (you have Min's case in the US version, so it could be possible). Since she's wearing the Ultimate's uniform, we can also assume she's not a reserve course student.

If Mai is the Ultimate Lucky Student of Hope's Peak JP, that brings the question of how exactly she met the cast, since all of the quotes are visibly their PoV of her. Could she have went to Hope's Peak US after graduating from Hope's Peak JP ? Or just, went looking for Teruko in US ?

(may I add, Teruko went to Japan at some point in her life. i'm unsure of what to do with that information, but it does exist)

I'm honestly not sure about who Mai is from this point. It's possible she could have been part of some exchange program where Hope's Peak JP students go to Hope's Peak US ? She must have went there at some point, since the cast knows her.

There IS a person that seems to have been friends with the entire cast as well, and it's the Unnamed Classmate. So far she was visibly close friends with Xander and Min, and I'm assuming her main role is helping the scenario of each bonus video so we get to know the characters more, which would mean she's close friends with EVERYONE.

So let's talk about UC !

Not only she is friend with everyone, but the entire cast is from the same class (i don't remember if it's confirmed in the prologue, but since UC is both their classmates, we can assume they're right about that...)

So it's odd to me we have an entire class in the killing game (unless the classes aren't as small as Hope's Peak US's ones, but I usually take that as a consequence from the scouting system, so it should be as small), but one irrelevant girl who was with them.

She also seem quite important and to have an important plot going on behind the scenes (like her asking Xander for documents of Hope's Peak that are sensitive enought to avoid being brought up in public), very briefly mentionned. All that to say UC is an important character as well, and not just a plot-device for bonus videos.

Speaking of bonus videos, this is unrelated to the theory, but i think it can be interesting to know their order : (i forgot to get the screenshot, but i'm pretty sure UC implies it's something like the anniversary of the event they refer to in the video)

So Min's video is before Xander's (which mean so far they're in chronological order), because i think dates can always be important and the writing behind Min is probably not just random background.

Back to UC, one thing I noticed is how she doesn't actually seem to have a talent.

Min is saying "they" and not "you". UC is not included in the statement. She does that multiple times, like saying "all my classmates" but not "you" :

Which would imply just like Min, UC is in that situation where she would not have any talent if Hope's Peak wasn't a thing (tho it's pretty different from Min here from what I'm supposing).

Not only that, but UC herself doesn't refer to herself as an Ultimate :

Min's an Ultimate but not UC. UC is just attending Hope's Peak Academy, but she doesn't see herself as an Ultimate.

So there are two possibilities. Either there is, just like in Hope's Peak JP, a Reserve Course system, and class apparently get mixed together, or...

Or UC is joking about not having a real Ultimate talent when she says that. I'm not sure how much this is proof, but her being Ultimate Lucky Student makes more sense than being a reserve course student somehow in a class full of Ultimates.

Which brings us back to Mai. So yeah, there's a big possibility those two are the same person. Seeing how UC lacks so much knowledge about important things like the TRAGEDY, it could make sense for her to come from Hope's Peak JP, the school where as long as you're developping your talent, you don't have to attend class. I'm not sure how that works for Lucky Students, but teaching at Hope's Peak JP seems... Lacking

(The one problem with this theory is that Min seem to assume UC knows about the Hope's Peak US test for Ultimate Student, but it would be complicated if she lived in Japan at that point... So either she's masking this information by saying she "doesn't care about Hope's Peak", or I'm just wrong which is likely)

And they do have in common the fact they're looking for something

So my current idea is that Mai went to Hope's Peak JP, graduated, and started looking for Teruko. Since MonoTV mentionned Teruko went to Japan at some point, it's possible she was already there when Mai looked for her. Then, she went at Hope's Peak US, probably bringing Teruko with her.

That's when I would like to say something about Teruko getting in Hope's Peak. Because I actually have no idea how she would even get in the lottery when she couldn't go to school officialy, and doesn't have papers.

So what if the document UC is looking for is actually to enroll Teruko as the Ultimate Lucky Student (in her place ?), more or less officialy ? After all, Mai wanted to help Teruko, and going to Hope's Peak is kinda getting a guaranteed succesful future. That is a possiblity to me, even if at this point it's less of a theory and more of speculation and weird ideas that my brain came up with.

So yeah. I have all this stuff. Probably doesn't make as much sense as I think, but at least I tried.

Edit : I JUST THOUGHT OF IT since Teruko is most likely the reason there's a killing game, it would make sense for Mai to get the quote "It's all your fault" if she brought her in the class !!! Because then the killing game wouldn't have involved them if she didn't do that (or maybe not even have happened !!!)

Because I just posted another place where they mentioned it, I also wanna remind y'all of how Eggman's name Ivo is really meant to be pronounced with even more proof this time lol

Despite the Sonic Bible very obviously not being canon (which is a good thing lol), Sega of America were actually the ones that gave him the name Ivo Robotnik, which was the one thing that came out of this that Sega of Japan actually ended up accepting as canon as a name for him, so that's the part that matters here

In the draft 2 version of the Sonic Bible, it specifically mentions that the name Ivo is in fact meant to be pronounced "EE-VO"

This is more solid proof if you didn't believe this guy below on the Sonic Retro forums was Dean Sitton, the guy that actually chose the name for him. He says the same thing, that with its pronunciation, it's supposed to sound like "evil"

Then of course, you have my video where I compiled the one time it's been said by Eggman in official media in English and the bonus time where Mike Pollock pronounced it that way again in the Big's Big Fishing Adventure 3 trailer:

The second example here was a fan made project but when asked about the way Ivo was pronounced a lot by surprised fans, Mike talked about how Sega has an Ivo on the team and that they'd obviously know how to pronounce it

Unfortunately Mike Pollock later went on to accidentally say it wrong in another fan project of Sonic and Tails R, maybe because he forgot or was at least told to say it that way and just went with it Idk but it's alright XD

And even more unfortunately because it was actually official and the video is meant to be teaching you about the character, in the English TailsTube Eggman episode they fucked up big time as Tails pronounced it as "eye-voh"

BUT in the JAPANESE version of the same video, they get it right! Very funny how in the present, Sega/Sonic Team Japan get the pronunciation right over Sega/Sonic team America now, despite the latter being the origin of the name for him lol

Here's hoping they get it correct in English if they ever have the characters actually say it in the games, especially Eggman himself instead of having him say his own name wrong lol

Gathering: Chrome Mox

“What’s his real name?” Gaeul asks pulling out her phone. The group all reference back to Astrid’s messages about staff she had been sending out. One thing she just forgot to mention… Theodore is not my actual first name. All of the paperwork I have is under my birth name which she knows and does the correct thing in terms of writing that down but my real name is not actually Theodore. So they were all shocked when nothing came up when looking for me.

Seeing that this easily could be fixed Yujin ran outside to find me.

But by that point, I was already back at Astrid's. When I got back to the penthouse Astrid and her two siblings were waiting. I see them all getting ready to order food to eat out.

I groan before walking to the fridge and pointing out how stocked it is. Astrid groans back and says “I’m too tired to cook can you make us something Tj and I’ll pay you later?”

I laugh and start to tease my friend, “With how much you’ve been saying that you’re going to owe me the Porsche.”

“I know but it’s your fault for being so good at being helpful,” Astrid says as I start cooking food for her and her siblings. I just made teriyaki chicken ramen noodles for them. When I was done I also cleaned up and packaged the leftovers. They dug in hungrily and the smiles they gave me were so big and large.

“Mmm, this is so good Tj. An excellent warrior, A great cook, A Shrewd businessman...is there anything you can't do?" Astrid's sister asks

I chuckle before responding. "Talk to people correctly, that's why I am single."

Really are you sure? because I can fix that. I’d love to make you mine.” Astrid’s sister says euphoric. Astrid laughs

“Careful wheels, his girlfriend might not like that,” Astrid said as she pointed at various places where I noticed lipstick stains. Astrid smirked and said to me “I am happy for you. You better introduce me later.” With that, I take my leave and then go to sleep.

The next day I worked with Astrid at her office. She finished up everything else she could do at home and now just prepping payroll for the event. The other reason we were in her office was that Ive was coming in to discuss some minor details. I feel a funny feeling when she says Ive is coming but I can’t place why. I leave the office to get coffee and food for the meeting. when I got back in and saw them I knew why my gut was feeling funny because I saw Yujin and about half a dozen other girls whom I recognized in varying degrees. I feel incredibly awkward when I see the Ive girls talking to Astrid so I try to leave silently after placing the food down, but the door has other plans it creaked and groaned as I attempted to close it a large number of eyes turned my way. Most of them read as confused but two pairs read as familiar. I’ll let you guess which was which.

“Oh good you’re here. The girls were just asking about you. Girls this is Theodore Sobek More Jr. You’ll hear me call him TJ, but that’s because we go way back to call him Theodore or Theo for now. He will be head of security during filming.” As Astrid was introducing me I noticed Gaeul and Wonyoung eyeing me with fury while Yujin was all coy smiles. It was kinda jarring. I waved to the girls who got up and did their little group introduction followed by their individual introductions. Rei one of the Japanese members recognized a few of the Japanese symbols I was wearing on my shirt and made a pleasant comment about it.

"I like your shirt but why you were the Raijin symbol?" she asked

"I just like it," I responded casually

Both Wonyoung and Gaeul continued to have their gazes bore into me like I killed their dog(which for the record I would never do I love dogs too much). The whole time Yujin stared at me even during the rest of Ive’s meeting with my Astrid her eyes tracked me down. Every time I’d catch her she’d give me the cutest smile possible. As the meeting was ending Astrid asked the girls if they had any questions for her or me.

Wonyoung feeling protective of her best friend (again understandably) asked “One question. We looked up “Theodore” (she pointed to me accusingly) and he didn’t show up anywhere!” Wonyoung exclaimed towards. Astrid looked at me and then the Ive girls confused. Understanding the confusion I just slid them my ID and said “Theodore is my English name my birth name is Tshomba. Theodore just happened to be the closest name phonetically and in denotation.” I explained. To allay her fears the girls. They searched me on their phones and sure enough I popped up really quickly. Their eyes widened.

"You work for the BRIPE?" Rei said Loudly. I nod before clarifying

"I am more of a consultant. I only help when things are really bad."Rei nods and then gives me a thumbs up which I return to her.

Gaeul approached me apprehensively, and I smiled in a goofy manner.

“I love eleven, love dive, and after like,” I said while scratching my head. Rei laughed. As Rei and Gaeul sized me up a comforting voice could be heard behind me.

Anyeoung Tj-ah.” I heard as two soft arms wrapped around me.

“Ah Eunbi Noona. How are you?” I asked recognizing the voice. the shining ball of positive energy popped from behind me to the front of me.

“Great! What about you?” Eunbi said and I gave her a thumbs up. At this point. Eunbi turned and noticed Ive. her smile grew even brighter if that was possible and she forgot all about me. I swore I almost saw a tear from Wonyoung…Almost.

“Ya fighter Oppa, what are you… Chaeyeon said before breaking down at seeing so many of her friends. I could also hear the voices of Le Sserafim, Minju, Yuri, Nako, Hyewon, plus a few others. So I just took this as a time to exit. As I inched away to the door to let Le Sserafim in, and escape Yujin said, “Wait TJ don’t go I have questions?” I groaned as I was reaching my Social limit, and if any more people showed up I would be certifiably less fun. While the izone girls all mingled Eunchae approached me surprisingly.

“Hey ajusshi,” she said. I violently turned to her but before I could say anything I remembered there was almost a 10-year difference between us. So I took a breath and recalculated my response

“Yeah, kiddo what’s up?” I said

Eunchae glared at me annoyed, but eased before asking “Do you ever feel like you don’t belong sometimes?” I looked at her and wondered where this was coming from. She pointed to all the Izone girls Plus Yunjin chatting leaving Eunchae and the younger Ive girls on the fringes of the conversations.

I nodded then turned to her and said, “All the time but I don’t think you’re as alone as you think gesturing to the Ive girls.”

Eunchae smiled and then said, “Thanks ajusshi.” I groaned hearing that, as I didn’t feel that old. Astrid saw that and smiled at me before texting me, “That was really sweet.”

“Okay now that you’re all here let’s iron out staff and dietary restrictions before we go. Tj can you go pick us up some breakfast.” Astrid asks. I looked at her confused. "Oh right, you already did. Thanks. You da best." Astrid said.

After the meeting, Yujin stayed a little bit longer to “get to know the security guy.” she approached me slyly with a mischievous smile

“So long time no see” Yujin opened.

“Yeah, 13 hours 56 minutes, and 27 seconds,” I said

“You made that up.” Yujin teased

“Nope just really good with numbers,” I replied

“Okay,” Yujin said her eyes fixed on me unwavering her look was a mix of that weird look from yesterday and hesitation. “So tell me about your psionic powers," she said with a serious tone. I began formulating my response or trying to as I didn't want to tell her but I needed something at least somewhat believable. before I could really come up with something intelligent Yujin said with an insistent tone, "Come on tell me."

"it's complicated Yujin-ah," I replied

"Oh really how?" Yujin asks with a pout

"Well..." Before I could explain any further I was saved by Chaewon thanking me for the food I brought. I gave her a thumbs up and after that, Astrid asked for my help.

The next day was the flight for the event. Connor Dexter and I all just used our Psionic abilities to place ourselves back in the States. Me back in California and then back in NYC. While I wait I pick up a pack from Lost Caverns of Ixalan. In it, There was a Sultai legendary creature that was named “HWI Geneticist”. I instantly fell in love. I looked to the shop keep to get his showcase foil and grabbed a few essentials for his deck which was just the land base sol ring, arcane signet, the appropriate talismans, mox amber (because he was so cheap mana value-wise), and lastly a pet card; growth spiral. After that, I grabbed stuff for Thrasios Tevesh (my merfolk deck). On the way out one of the vendors I frequent was selling K-pop photo cards. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a familiar face and copped the card.

When I got home I just threw stuff together for HWI and after a few hours he was ready for testing.

I decided to rest when Connor and Dexter called and said to meet them at the lobby. I got up from my bed and space sifted. We checked into the hotel and then waited in my room.

Unfortunately due to delays, I would be taking point on settling in the girls for everything. I was careful to keep track of everyone, with the intent of making sure the transition was as easy as possible. When the Weskers did arrive Astrid was giving me a dumb and apologetic smile

“Sorry about that but you seem to be quite good at setting this all up, I have only heard positives from all the girls and staff at how you took charge,” she said I groaned before speaking.

“Shut up,” I said before adding “I’m going to my room don’t ask me for anything at least for a couple of hours,” I said

Astrid nodded then said, “Love you! See you in a bit.”

Wheels and Specs Astrid sister and brother respectively (these are their preferred nicknames by the way I am not being funny) see me and Wheels says “You look like you fought a demon bear.”

“That would have been easier than this.” I walk away to the elevator overstimulated and raw.

before I could leave though wheels said to me, “You know from what I’ve been hearing and seeing you’re pretty good at all this stuff. Why aren’t you more well-known.” Wheels asked

“I’m crippling shy,” I responded

“No, you’re not. You are very easily socially drained from the looks of it.” Specs asserted

I noticed Wheel's concerned expression about the demon bear comment as I went up to my room. As I’m riding up God must be feeling merciful because I see no one and talk to no one.

A few hours later I got a call from Siyeon. She wanted my help on a song she was working on. I said sure and went to meet up with her. I rolled out of bed and made the trip to her room. on the way up Chaewon saw me and smiled. Winter was also walking with her.

"Ah TJ what's up?" Chaewon asked

"Oh Hi, Chaewon. Hi Winter. Siyeon just asked my help for a song." I answered

"Oh, that's so cool. do you know what it's about?" Winter asked

"She didn't say." I replied, "I am in the dark like y'all." I added

Chaewon giggled and said, "Well have fun." I nodded and waved them off.

When I arrived in the room Sakura was just leaving, with Yujin. Yujin saw me and smiled. "Oh, my Bant Buddy." She said. I groaned but let her call me that well sort of.

"You say that but you don't know me," I reply.

"But I do know you. I have seen the way you play magic, and it's very bant-centered. you create safe spaces for people who wish to explore themselves. You're not an enforcer of their will like Dexter or Connor, but you won't be trampled. You are kind but not weak." Yujin said with a happy smile. I chuckled to which Yujin added, "Besides. you are much too kind for Sultai. Much too fair, Much too forward-thinking. When you make deals it's for everyone's interest and you think of yourself last. Unlike others. I respect it." I smile as Yujin hugs me and before she goes I feel leave something in my front Jacket pocket. I checked it, and it was a magic card. It's "Ellie and Alan, Paleontologists" Attached is a little note that says, "Build it and free yourself, from the burdens and expectations of others". On the other side was her number. I smiled at the note and I considered her words. I put both in my pocket as I walked into Siyeon's room.

In the room, Dami and Siyeon had set up what seemed like a mini studio inside. I walked in confused but didn't focus too much on anything out of the ordinary. Siyeon looked up to me and said, "Okay now we can work on the song." I appreciated her brevity and directness. it made me feel less out of place as I took my seat next to her.

"So here is the concept. I want to do a person who is trapped by society into being perfect but wishes to be something else." Siyeon said quickly.

"I like it how can I help?" I asked

"Write what's on your heart!" Siyeon demanded as she handed me a notebook.

"I am not a good..." I began

"Don't even start. I found your poetry page. You are the perfect person for this." Siyeon said before I could finish my thought. I groaned, knowing that I wouldn't be able to wiggle my way out of this. So I sat down and began writing. I started with simile lyrics and branched out while I wrote Mrs Lee (Siyeon) asked me how I felt about Yujin

"Hmm. I am not fully sure. She's so pretty and witty." I said. Siyeon nodded and then said

"She's cute right?" I nod at Siyeon's question and go back to work. after finishing a verse I handed her what I was working on. Siyeon smiles, then gets a text. she looks at me and then asks if I am hungry. I shake my head which leads to her saying "Well I just got invited to get food with Dexter and Connor you are free to join but you don't have to." I nod then say

"I'll go back to my room and sleep for a bit." Siyeon nods and we part ways.

Siyeon regroups with Sua, Eunbi, Connor, and Dexter in the lobby. "Hey Unnie," Siyeon says to Sua and Eunbi." Dexter and Connor smile as they turn around and see her. following this the group goes and looks for a pizza place. they find one next to a magic shop a few blocks away with some really good reviews. While waiting for a table Dexter goes into the Card shop to pick up a pack and some cards. His eyes go wide when he sees something that catches his eye. when he gets back he reveals to Connor the last OG Dual he needs Volcanic Island, along with two packs. He hands you one and cracks one open for himself.

"Ooh, what did you get?" Siyeon asks

"I got a Arid mesa Borderless, and a Ragavan." Connor says

"Oh nice I got foil scene Aragorn, and the one ring," Dexter answers

"Oh, those are nice pulls," Siyeon says the two young men nod in agreement as they admire their pulls. Eunbi and Sua are kinda bummed feeling left out by this interaction so Eunbi texts me this as her response

"Hey TJ can you teach me Commander?"

I see the text and Acknowledge it by saying "Sure just not right at this moment."

This causes Eunbi to smile. Dexter notices this and asks her what got her smiling.

"Oh, just a friend agreeing to help me," Eunbi said

"Oh, Nice!" Dexter replies.

"Speaking of friends. how are you and Yunjin Connor?" Sua asks.

"Oh, she's great!" Sua says almost yelling because for those who know her...her default setting is Loud.

after that, they all had Pizza and a great time. Upon arriving back to the hotel. Connor and Dexter were called by Astrid for something. I was also called and was already in her room at the time waiting for them. We all found each other outside Astrid's door, and we all walked in.

in the dimly lit room was a face I was unsurprised to see but was disappointed to find.

"Mrs. Radames," I said. I watched as Connor froze, while Dexter and I pulled out guns. "What do you want?"

"Oh please gentlemen hear me out?" Mrs. Radames pleaded. I cocked my hammer back.

"No!" Dexter said furious.

Knowing how ladies like her think I figured she would have something dumb at the ready in case we were not in the listening mood. "Spit it out because I don't have the patience to hear your sob story," I said to Connor and Dexter's shock.

"Oh good at least you're reasonable. well, I'll have you know..." Mrs. Radames began before trailing off into monologue territory.

"Listen lady tell us your proposition as to why we shouldn't kill you now because I don't want to hear your dumb back story," I replied

"Oh to the point I dig your style, Theodore. Well, I'll have you know I have several X-virus sleepers who are waiting for my signal, or lack thereof to begin a new outbreak. So if you kill me here you will be the direct cause of many needless deaths." Mrs. Radames explained as I lowered my weapon. "that's a good boy, you might be wondering where Astrid is, well I'll have you know she is safe. don't try..."

"I am going to stop you right there. Tell me where Astrid is right now." I said coldly. "

"You have my word. She is safe." Mrs. Radames said

"I don't want your word. I want the location. Tell me where my friend is right now, and I won't kill you."

"You would sacrifice..."

"Again don't do that speech monologue thing I don't care, but for the record, if I kill you here no one needs to worry about their being problems. Now tell me where Astrid is." I say.

"She is being guarded in a warehouse not too far from here."

"Where do I need specifics right now," I said to her She looked at me shocked.

"She is in the abandoned Facility near the waterfront two miles North eas from here."

"Okay great. I am going to get her now. For your sake, I hope this isn't a lie. For your guard's sake, you may want to tell them I am coming from my friend. I'd rather not make a massive mess of them. Cool, Cool (I gesture to Dexter and Connor.) You two are free to handle the situation with Mrs. Radames however you see fit. I trust y'all judgment." I say as I walk away from them. After I take my leave only Connor and Dexter are left. They look at Mrs. Radames with disgust and confusion.

"Quite the peculiar person." Mrs. Radames says about me.

As I walk away, Dexter and Connor exchange glances, uncertainty lingering in the air. Connor seems conflicted, torn between the disgust for Mrs. Radames and the unsettling bluntness of my approach. Dexter, on the other hand, keeps a stern expression, clearly not swayed by any attempts at sympathy.

Mrs. Radames, now realizing she might have underestimated the situation, attempts to regain control. "Gentlemen, please, you don't understand the complexities of the situation. The fate of many lives rests in—"

Dexter cuts her off sharply, "Save the monologues. We've heard enough. Now, what's this X-virus sleeper situation?"

Connor, perhaps more diplomatically, adds, "And why should we trust any information you give us?"

Mrs. Radames sighs, realizing that her grandiose plans are unraveling. "I suppose you'll need some proof," she says, gesturing to a laptop on the table. "There's a file. The location of the sleepers, their activation protocols, everything you need to neutralize the threat without causing undue harm."

Dexter picks up the laptop and glances at Connor, who nods in agreement. "Theodore might be a bit rough around the edges, but he knows how to handle a situation. If he's going after Astrid, we'll deal with your mess."

"I am surprised you trust him so much despite how little you know about him."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Dexter asked trepidatiously

"Well, I am just surprised you all don't know anything about him. All you know is my daughter trusts him with her life, but what do you two know about him. I mean really, Do you even know who he is?" Mrs. Radames said realizing she had an in.
