Part 1 of Marinette Dupain-Cheng is Dead | Masterlist

The place they reserved was beautiful: the greenhouse-type of dining with ferns and orchids hanging from the glass ceiling and walls, a lush green against the pristine white of their chairs and table napkins. The day was blessed with fair weather so just the right amount of sunlight was cascading down on them which fit the light hum of the festive music from the speakers. Even the hostess herself was a sight to behold—a flowery off-shoulder dress, curled brown hair, and pastel manicured nails.

Sabrina truly felt she was in another world.

Their hostess stood up, holding her wine glass in one hand. "I'd like to make a toast." She beamed. "To everyone here, who accepted my invitation for a humble reunion."

She looked at them on by one, first at Alya who seemed to cling at her every word, then moved down the table to Nino, Rose, Juleka, Max, Kim, and so on. These were faces of now acclaimed people, successful in their respective fields. "It seems it was just yesterday when we were only students in Ms. Bustier's class," she continued, "But in reality, we've been through a lot. Ups and downs, pains and losses. But I'm proud of us for sticking together, for keeping in touch after all these years."

A star in the social media field, and a proud founder and CEO of her brand. Lilia Ross. That was the alias she had been using when she was stepping into fame. But to Sabrina, she'll always be Lila, the charming girl who once was a transfer student in their class.

"To us!" Lila cheered, raising her glass up in the air. They all followed suit, some laughing a little and others bursting into lively conversation.

Sabrina took a sip of her drink, turning to her left. "It really has been so long, hasn't it, Chloe?"

The blonde appeared to be in some kind of stupor, but her friend's words shook her out of it. "Huh?"

"I said it's been so long."

Chloe rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Uh, yeah, you're right."

"Are you okay?"

She gave a smile of reassurance. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, it's just . . . stress from work."

Sabrina was about to suggest she get some rest first when the wooden doors opened, revealing another familiar face from their teen years. Large sweater over a collared piece. A priceless watch. Golden hair fixed to look stylishly unkempt.

The man greeted them, "Hey, I hope I'm not too late?"

At the head of the table, Lila's jaw dropped open. "A—Adrien?"

"That's me," he chuckled lowly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Long time no see, everyone."

The others, too, couldn't mask their shock—understandably so. Adrien Agreste had been out of the public eye for the past seven months, halting his modeling career and laying low in god knows where. Even Sabrina couldn't remember when she had last seen him.

It was Alya who stood up, grabbing a seat for their new guest. "It's been so long!" She said. "Come here, sit. Where have you been and why were you so unreachable?"

"Yeah, man, I even tried visiting your old house in Paris. They said you weren't there." Kim, meanwhile, passed a plate to him.

"I'm really sorry for that." Adrien gave a sheepish look. "I was too focused on taking time for myself. I'm on hiatus from modeling—I didn't mean to cut everyone off. But I wanted to make it to this reunion!"

At that second, Sabrina's phone began to buzz a notification.

"It's alright to take a break sometimes," Mylene consoled. "Are you going back to modeling soon?"

Adrien shrugged. "I'm not sure yet; I might try out other things and see what works for me."

The phone vibrated again, a few times in succession this time.

"What about working with me?" Alix offered. "I need some extra hands around the museum. Minimal experience needed! I'll teach you everything I know."

The nth buzz sounded and Sabrina pulled out her phone from her purse to completely silence it but then she caught a glimpse of Chloe. She looked pale as a sheet, staring down at her unfinished plate.

Sabrina leaned. "Chlo—"

Buzz. Buzz.

Frowning, Sabrina unlocked her phone to check what the incessant ringing was all about. There were tweets, articles, posts, and messages filling up the screen like something had blown up. And something might as well have.

Her eyes widened when she tapped on an article.

Alya's voice rang out. She, too, was looking at her phone. "Hey, Lila, what's this all about?"

"Hm? Is it about my magazine feature?"

"No, it's not," Sabrina whispered.

There in bold letters the words were summoning up a storm: 'The Truth About Lilia Ross: She's Not Who You Think She Is' .

Saturday morning saw Jason Todd at the Wayne manor's dining table, munching on a piece of toast with jam. He stayed the night after patrol upon Alfred's insistence, and then remained for breakfast after some more badgering.

The second eldest raised an eyebrow when Bruce strolled into room wearing office clothes.

"Event at WE today," Bruce explained, making a coffee for himself. "Tim, feet off the table please."

Tim, who was stuck to his phone, let out an incoherent mumble before putting his feet down.

"Lilia Ross," uttered Bruce. "Does that name ring a bell?"

"French-Italian, founder and CEO of Lilia Designs, sells clothing and cosmetics," Tim supplied in a monotonous voice. "She's more famous as an influencer though. In the past few days, there have been a lot of rumors popping up about her. Why do you ask?"

"PR at WE asked me. They wondered if I knew her."

"What does she have to do with Wayne Enterprises?" Damian chimed in.

Celebrities and trends never piqued Jason's interest—he focused on eating, debating internally if he should purchase more handguns to replace a couple that he lost.

"She's been promoting our products even if she's not legally affiliated with WE," Tim explained whilst gulping down his daily dose of caffeine. "She's just trying to fish for a real sponsorship or partnership. Her brand's getting famous in Gotham, you know."

"It's not much of a concern for the company then. Our lawyers will be able to handle it if her so-called scandals affect WE," said Bruce.

"True, but it's still weird. This is her first major backlash on the internet and there's a lot of—" Tim did air quotes with his fingers, "—'anonymous witnesses' coming forward to show her 'true colors'."

"How is that different from the usual celebrity rumors?" asked Damian.

Okay, maybe Jason was a little curious.

He discreetly pulled his phone out to check the articles popping out online. And there were many, as if testimonies were spewing from a never-ending fountain.

'eiffelparis12: don't fall for it. she bought all those views and likes. fake *****'

'coffeecake: I worked as a stylist in a studio once. She was at our show...I didn't expect her to be so two-faced! She was so rude to the producer's assistant and kept bossing her around. The poor guy didn't even get to eat.'

'seaasss: her products arent even that good. lol.'

'venusred: she bought her way to be in our blog's feature. i'm pretty sure she has an anonymous sponsor.'

'harpyre: OMG! does she even pay her employees enough?'

'silverberry640: no way, lilia doesn't deserve this! there's no proof.'

'ngc5195: this is what fame does to all of them......sad.'

Jason looked up again when Bruce spoke. "For now, WE isn't obligated to proceed with legal action and we're not actually involved anyway. I'm sure this will pass on its own."

He wasn't wrong. Scandals came and went; people liked to throw stones at one person then move on to the next after the damage was done.

"Or not," Tim suddenly said, staring at something on his phone "Shit."

"What is it?" asked Bruce.

Tim read the words aloud. "Influencer Lilia Ross, accused of murdering former classmate."

First batch of chapters revealed! ✦✦✦ Miracle and Plague

Someone asked me If I was going share them a LONG time ago, but I've had other projects to focus on + tumblr has been unbearable recently with their shitty changes (besides I totaly did not forget), but I'm finally revealing the first 1/3 of the story. The least chaotic part :)

By the way, things may change while I fully write those things out, but this is the rough outline of how I want Miracle and Plague to go. As you can see, there are a few episodes moved from the season 2 to here in order to establish new characters or set up something for the future without stretching the episodes to 5 seasons hehe

I'd be glad to answer a thing or two about the specific episodes If someone would be interested :) At least in regards to this part, because the future ones will be much more spoilery haha

"Season 1" is more or less a section filled with of introductions and preparations for future arcs and heavier development such as Chloe's road to redeeming herself, Adrien rebelling against his father's mistreatment and Gabriel's slow descend from being just a disruption to Paris' everyday lives to straight up mass destruction and disorder just to get what he wants.

[1] Heartstone [Origins | Part 1]

Jiayi Dupan-Cheing and Adrien Agreste are on their way to their school on the first day of September before something breaks out in the middle of class - a monster. Everyone is evacuated as the creatures wrecks havoc upon Paris. Arriving to their homes, they find something that has not been there before.

[2] Wonderbug and Chat Noir [Origins | Part 2]

After Heartstone's first defeat, the plague of infectious butterflies appears and continues to spread through fearsome residents of Paris. Unfortunately for Jiayi, only her and her new partner can stop the villain from destroying the city of love.

[3] Stormy weather

Despite the success of stopping the "first big wave", the butterflies seem to have no intention of disappearing. To make the matters worse, they have found themselves a new target - an unfulfilled weather girl, humiliated in front of everyone.

[4] Mr. Pigeon

A new local fashion contest have caught Jiayi's attention and she's detemined to add it to her long list of "jobs well done". Meanwhile, a old pigeon fanatic continues to fight with the law to aid his companions in need.

[5] The Bubbler

Despite Adrien's birthday coming up, Gabriel is too busy managing his job and the new secret hobby. However, Nino will not stand for it and fights for his best friend's happiness. Who would've thought that clashing with a highly successful entrepreneur won't end nicely?

[6] Lady Wifi

Alya's new hero blog gains MUCH popularity and with it, fuels Alya's fascination with the idenitites of Paris' masked fighters. She discovers Chloe's secret hobby, which in turn gets her suspended from school until further notice.

[7] Refekta

It's time for class photo shoot and Juleka is nervous about her bad luck with those events. As she predicted, things go south with Chloe being unsatisfied about her position in the photo and prevents Juleka for being in the photo at all.

[8] Horrificator

The class is working on a short movie for a small festival, but a certain person is extremely dissatisfied with her role in the creation of it. Disrupting the filming, Chloe causes one of the lead actors to become akumatized and trap the class in a hyper-realistic version of the movie itself.

[9] Copycat

With the heroes of Paris gaining more traction, one of the local sculptors creates a stunning piece as a tribute to Wonderbug and Chat Noir. However, one of the heroes doesn't show up which greatly disappoints the artist.

[10] Timebreaker

Alix is racing Kim as a challenge and Jiayi is put in charge of creating the banner. Meanwhile, Alix is given a precious family heirloom and passes it over to Alya for safekeeping. Things go terribly wrong and the clock end up in the severs, presumably damaged as well.

[10] The Evilustrator

One of Jiayi's classmates seems to have a big crush on her, but what he doesn't realize is that she isn't very interested. As the day goes on, Nathaniel ends up getting humiliated by Chloe who exposes the contents of his sketchbook to everyone.

[12] The Pharaoh

Alya drags Jiayi to the museum after hearing that the study of Ancient Egipt seem to have been connected to the heroes of Paris. As the progress further into the exibit, both heroes discover something new about the boxes that arrived along with their magical artifacts.

[13] Gamer

Max is entering a gaming contest and proudly prokes his classmates to fight with him in the game itself. Unfortunately for him, Adrien beats him easily and as per the dare's rules, now is the one entering the contest in Max's place. What he doesn't say out loud is that it wasn't his intetion to do so, but when Jiayi convinces him to tell the truth, It's already a bit too late.

[14] Captain Hardlock

Juleka, Rose and others wish to pursue a small side project by creating their own band. Meanwhile, an old friend of Jiayi sails back into Paris in order to assist his sibling with some expertise on the subject. Unfortunately, there's one more family member that can't help, but stick his nose where he shouldn't.

[15] Scarabella [Part 1]

With different events, contests piling up and management of the two sides of her life being too hard to control, Jiayi is completely burnt out and exhausted. Despite the warnings from her friends and family, she overworks herself completely and is unable to fulfill her duty as a hero. In this case, she decides to try and repeat what she did the first time she received the magical earrings - pass the identity to her trusted friend, at least for the time being. Yet Monarch notices the shift in the dynamic and decides to seize the opportunity.

[16] Huli Jing [Part 2]

Noticing that her partner and friend are at a much bigger risk than initally anticipated, Jiayi runs to Master Fu for help. Meanwhile, as the two face against the revealed villain, a new friend appears to assist them in an escape.

[17] Befana

After the events of Scarabella, Jiayi finally promises to take a small break and be more careful with the amount of work she takes on. Unfortunately for her, the news of the winning contestant fainting on stage has spread all over and took the attention of someone who Jiayi wishes she never had to face again. Just in time for her own birthday as well.

[18] Antibug

Seeing two separate ladybug heroes in action, Chloe becomes much persistent and brave, always running to where the villain is in order to assist the heroes. As expected, nothing good comes out of it. Eventualy, her best friend Sabrina gets akumatized as a result of her actions and a chain of events ensues...

[19] Glaciator

Chat Noir decides to invite Wonderbug to a little date, but doesn't seem to be taking a hint. In the meantime, Ague the Ice-Cream man goes through a major crisis that puts a target on his back.

[20] Zombiezou

It's teacher appreciation day at our heroes' school and coincidentally also their favorite teacher's birthday! All of classmates have prepared a little something, except for Chloe. Her excuses only wreck more disorder among the class which attracts the attention of a certain someone.

[21] Guitar Villain

After noticing Jiayi's work for his daughter's band, Jagged Stone commissions her to create a cover for his brand new album. As per the entertainment industry however, his rival and manager seem very eager to rob him of his original approach to rock n roll.

[22] Gigafan

With news of real life superheroes spreading across the globe, many tourists come by only to see Wonderbug and Chat Noir in action. One of those people is especially unbearable and persistent in having Wonderbug notice her presence.

[23] Rogercop

It's bring your parent to school day and quite literally NOTHING goes according to plan. Chloe wrecks havoc upon every single classmate of hers when her priced bracelet goes missing, including her close friend.

[24] Volpina

Just as Jiayi thought that Lila only came in to reconcile, she could not be more wrong as she pops back up again and wrecks more chaos, putting her in many uncomfortable situations. Just as you'd think she was done for, she accepts Monarch's call and begins to disrupt the lives of everyone in Paris.

So, how do the glamors/quantum masking of the miraculous function in your aus, or did you remove that aspect of them?

I had to look up what the fuck you were talking about, but I has an answer!

I ditched that shit. Look, it works for the show, magic girl shows, and other, but there's a loss of potential in my eyes. Sure, things can be made complicated with the superhero identities versus the civilian ones, but that's just a level of miscommunication and frustration I cannot stand when writing that often confuses myself.

As such, it falls on the heroes to mask themselves and keep themselves hidden. This I personally prefer more as it adds a level of carefulness and consideration to the actions of the characters as well as their designs. Take Volpina from Miraculous AU. No one has a flipping clue who she is because no one has met Lila in person (save for Marc and Alix) and due to her design with the hood and mask, no one knows what she looks like (except for Alix as Marc hasn't seen her without the mask)

Nonetheless, I enjoy the concept of having them hide their identities through appearance, but having a tight friend group that doubles as superheroes. I mean, fuck, it's my personal favorite thing when the hero has a support group that help them through life and being a hero. It makes for more dynamics, less isolation, and breaking the mold a little.

Creepsters AU - Important Students Part 1

Alya: An aspiring investigative journalist in the same class as our heroes. Though she has faith in Kagami and Adrien, for some unknown reason, she is deadset that Marinette’s intentions are not as good as she claims! Constantly attempting to prove her claims, her bombastic way of going about her sleuthing makes it difficult for people to take her seriously.

Alix: One of Marinette’s closest ‘normie’ friends, Alix is a headstrong daredevil who is never afraid to jump into combat with the creepsters, despite their supernatural abilities. While she will typically be the one to reign Marinette in, she’s also the first one to test an actual invention no matter how crazy. Close with Nathaniel as well, she is often the one comforting him over his shame at his maniacal ancestor.

Mylene: Marinette’s other best friend, Mylene is a witch who uses the natural magic of the earth to heal the wounded and sick. She often serves as Marinette’s voice of reason, advising her when she starts to go over the edge, as well as trying to keep Alix out of the trouble. Though she is kind and gentle, she often comes off as frightening with her manner of speech and her wicked-sounding laugh. She has a very loving and sweet relationship with her boyfriend, Ivan, a werebear. Mylene assists the hero trio with healing potions and protective wards. She gets along quite well with Herushingu, as well as Adrien, though he does find her frightening at times.

Nino: A friendly young aspiring DJ, Nino is Adrien’s best bud, always encouraging him to get out and have fun. He’s also fond of Chat, backing his hype whenever his triggers an appearance. He’s also a devoted boyfriend to Alya, trying fruitlessly to convince that Marinette isn’t on the side of evil.

Ondine: Kagami’s longtime best friend and a fellow monster hunter, Ondine is the optimist to Herushingu’s pessimist. Ondine prefers to take a non-lethal approach when hunting, though she will end a monsters life if necessary. She and Herushingu love to bicker for the sake of it, often betting chores on who wins. She absolutely loves her boyfriend, Kim.

Max: Marinette's childhood friend and the only one that's on the same level of intelligence as her. An inventor who sticks to robotics, The Kante's and Von Bugg's have been close with each other for generations, collaborating on innovations in science. A studious and collected young man, who often serves to translate to the other classmates what his friend is trying to say in a way they'll understand. He helps out the heroes via lending them his tech to use on occasion.

Marc: The descendant of the wicked Count Marcula, Marc is a shy boy with a passion for writing, especially comics. He despises his ancestor and everything he stands for, so he is learning the trade of killing vampires from Herushingu. His companion in this is his boyfriend, Nathaniel.

Nathaniel: Marc’s boyfriend, the descendant of the deeply unsettling Nathfield. A shy boy with a sharp tongue, he uses snark to mask his insecurities. Due to his loathing of his ancestor, he avoids painting of any kind, sticking to drawing in his sketch pad. He trains alongside Marc with Herushingu.

Ivan: Mylene’s boyfriend, a tall and burly teenaged boy who happens to be a werebear, changing into his large and hairy ursine form when the moon is out. A gentle and kind boy at heart, he uses his strength to protect others, especially from the creepsters, who cursed him into this state. He makes sure to stay calm, as he doesn’t want people to fear him. He absolutely adores his girlfriend, Mylene, they love snuggling together when he’s in his bear form.

Kim: The captain of several of the schools sports teams, Kim is a friendly guy who’s not always the sharpest tool in the shed. He’s always ready to jump into the fray with the creepsters, and trusts new people rather quickly. He’s a bit of a jokester, though he never means any harm. He’s very devoted to his girlfriend, Ondine.

Chloe: Spoiled rotten and convinced she is more popular than she is, Chloe treats everyone around her like garbage. She uses her father’s influence to force people to do as she wants. Though she harassed the descendants of the creepsters, she is in truth working behind the scenes to fund their exploits. However, she may be about to learn a hard lesson.

Sabrina: Chloé’s ‘bestie’, though that’s not a title she happily holds. Sabrina tries her best to keep Chloe in line, though more often than not, her efforts are in vain. She harbors a secret love for sports, which she grows to embrace as she breaks away from Chloe, making new, more genuine friendships.

Considering the series, what you would change do make the series better? You can do anything, except changing the powers, like you doing.

A very interesting game, but quite vague, even with the restriction of not being able to change powers, so here are my rules:

I can't use any reference media than canon;

I can't advance (future season eps in early seasons) events, only delay (early season eps in future seasons). Remembering that if it's something that would have happened if another character had caused it before canon, I can anticipate it, like if the character is smarter or more defiant, it would already count;

If I change miraculous, I can only do it with characters who have already been ported in the series, and I can only use characters available in each season.

Let's start the fun:

Starting with the main change, the delay in the villain's appearance, Master Fu discovered that the butterfly miraculous was for evil and went after the carriers, the same scheme, but he didn't deliver the miraculous right away, because Wayzz said that Nooroo's energy was too weak to say that it would be active so soon.

Meanwhile, Nathalie planned to betray Gabriel because she thought Adrien deserved his father's attention more than getting his mother back, but her goal was still to get Emilie back because she was in love with Gabriel; during this week without a villain, Nathalie would have resigned, forcing Gabriel to look for another secretary, and in the meantime she would have devised a plan to steal the Wonderful and the Wondrous Book, and so in the middle of the night, by switching off the cameras to make it look like a blackout, she stole the book, the peacock and the butterfly, leaving a copy for everyone.

As Master Fu had a week to find his bearers, he ended up finding three ideal bearers: Kim, Max and Alix, and knowing the villain's delay, he decided to give them the strongest miraculous ones to get used to, being Ladybug (more because it was obligatory), Rooster and Dragon, leaving them in their backpacks. However, as Kim is forgetful, he ended up losing the dragon's jewel without realizing it, and Chloe ended up finding it.

With this we would have Bettlix, Phoenix and Royal Scales, in the first week, Max would be the most excited of the three, because he wanted to discover the limit of his powers, Alix would be indifferent, because he hasn't met his colleagues yet and the villain hasn't even appeared, Chloe would only want fame and attention, but wouldn't tell anyone.

Simple sketch to show them, I tried to follow the canon rules on designs, and I used a single color and didn't make a whole lineart, because it was just an idea and more practical. Even though Chloe isn't wearing a mask, her identity is protected by magic, her hair is red, and her eyes are brown (so even if she wanted to, it would be difficult to find out).

Why didn’t they go back to prevent the Miraculous from being taken? Evolution spoilers

When Ladybug and Cat Noir were using future Bunnyx miraculous to stop Monarch from taking their miraculous in the past, the question that came to mind was why they didn't use the bunny miraculous to go back in time to the point where Ladybug’s yoyo was taken by the dog miraculous and prevent Monarch from taking all the miraculous in the box?. Now, the reason they didn't go back to this exact point and prevent Monarch from obtaining the miraculous, is because they were not suppose to.

When Bunnyx appeared in “Evolution”, she wasn’t there to help Ladybug and Cat Noir go back to the exact point in time when Ladybug would lose her yoyo, she was there to help them figure out what point in time Monarch traveled to, in order to stop him from potentially re-writing history. Now, surprisingly enough, the thing that was not re-writing history was Monarch possessing all the miraculous, meaning that time was still moving as it should despite Ladybugs loss.

Monarch obtaining all the miraculous within Ladybugs yoyo near the end of "Strike Back" was something that needed to happen, because if it didn’t, Monarch would not have attempted to mess with time, and from there, Ladybug and Cat Noir would not have met Master Fu in the past, which guaranteed their future as miraculous holders. 

Fu had always been cautious about entrusting miraculous to others, but when the time came for him to select new holders, he knew that his test in "Origins" could have drawn anyone to come and help him, but because he had already met the heroes in the past, Fu always knew it would be the two he saw long ago, even if he didn't know their identities as a result of the miraculous quantum masking effect. 

But aside from this, if Gabriel hadn't obtained all the miraculous, even if he didn't know their identities as a result of the miraculous quantum masking effect. But aside from this, if Gabriel hadn't obtained all the miraculous, young Alix would not have been asked to help retrieve the bunny miraculous and become its permanent holder, while Ladybug and Cat Noir would not have gone through the much needed process of repairing their bond.

Ladybug and Cat Noirs only mission was to stop Monarch from leaping through time and get the bunny miraculous back. So when Monarch laid unconscious after suffering the effects of using to many miraculous, Ladybug and Cat Noir were not quick to take the other miraculous, not because they didn't want to, but because they knew that so long as they obtained the bunny miraculous, Monarch would simply be left as another person whos time could be manipulated through their power alone.

And as we saw near the end of "Evolution, that's exactly what Bunnyx did when she returned Monarch to the present so Ladybug and Cat Noir could capture him with ease. And yet, despite feeling victory was within reach on multiple occasions, the one thing they continued to struggle in accepting was that their fight against Monarch was no longer about just them gaining the upper hand in a fight, it was now about him gaining an advantage over them as he wielded the other miraculous.

They knew what he could do with just two miraculous in his possession, but now that he had 16, there was no telling what he was capable of. And sure, Ladybug could have just tried to go back in time to prevent Shadow Moth from taking all the miraculous, but she didn’t, because she knew from Bunnyx and from her experience in, “Time Breaker”, “Time Tagger”, and “Cat Blanc”, that time is something you should NOT mess with so easily.

Ladybug and Cat Noir could've gone back, but by altering the past, they would have no idea how it would affect the present and future. So given everything that’s happened, Ladybug was just more responsible than Monarch and knew not to mess with time, she left that to the professionals.

A Review of Évolution

So, all of Season 5 has finally be released! Hooray. This is LAURENT’s review of Miraculous Season 5, starting with its long-awaited first episode Évolution. This is a rewatch.

The new opening theme sounds a lot darker and cooler than the previous songs. The electric guitar adds edge, and the reverb echoes a tone of finality. It’s a nice touch that Chat Noir and Ladybug are holding hands towards the end. Compared to Season 4’s opening, with Ladybug holding the new Miraculous Box alone – Chat Noir’s compartment couldn’t even been seen on it – Season 5’s opening support the tagline "Les Aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir" a lot better.

And we’re starting right off where we picked up.

Maybe it’s because I’m watching it on DisneyPlus, but the animation is crisp. Blessings to whichever studio is animating this.

Personal point of malcontent, but it’s always very notable that Parisian citizens doesn’t seem to address Chat Noir with the same veneration that Ladybug receives. Mostly because he’s only seen as her partner, while she’s the fix-all, Cure-all main hero.

Chat Noir just shattered a Turtle Miraculous Protection with zero effort. Okay. Either that is done for sake of theatrics, or Monarch hasn't quite figure out how to moderate the strength of a Protection yet.

Ladybug disperses Monarch’s butterflies with her Yo-yo. Calls back to their debut.

Gabriel monologues again. Sass shows his position as de facto Kwami leader. It’s always disconcerting to see the Kwami so meek. They shouldn’t act like that should they?

If one looks properly into the crowd cheering for Ladybug and Chat Noir, one will see they’re the same eight character models duplicated.

Good on to Gabriel for jumping immediately onto the plan that makes the most sense, he did what anyone seeking the Yin and Yang Miraculous would’ve done in that situation. Don't waste time, literally go back in time to steal them immediately. Previous Miraculous seasons has a habit of avoiding the most obvious solution to prolong the story, so hopefully, the straight-forwardness of this plan spell a new route for Miraculous’ writing.

Also, lmao, Monarch dropping out of a Voyage and literally crawling to another one. If I were Ladybug and Chat Noir (the present ones), I would’ve been standing and staring in total confusion too. It reminds me of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the whole time-travelling scheme. Seeing your future and past selves, knowing they're there but unable to interact with them. Good on the writers for adding this little cameo of their future selves, explains the time-travelling narrative immediately. Makes the audience excited. Clearly, this Season is starting off strong and big. Plus, sneak peek of Bunny Noir.

And Bunnix appears! I don’t think she appeared much at all in Season 4. Again, a great way to let the audience know this season is going to be big.

Side-note: I never really liked Bunnix’s outfit. When I first saw Adult Alix in Season 3, I was very impressed. The tattoos, the hair, the piercing, it’s a style of trendy and modern fashion Miraculous usually lacks, as all their characters are perpetually dressed in Y2K. I was anticipating something similarly impressive when Bunnix transformed, but – it just looks like a suit for a Rabbit Hero rather than Alix as the Rabbit Hero. Have y’all heard that theory that Aurore should be the Rabbit? Blue colour scheme, two pigtails which could be fashioned into rabbit ears, literally constantly carrying an umbrella? But apart from Marc, I doubt we’ll ever see anyone outside of Madame Bustier’s class as an auxiliary hero.

I quite like Monarch’s new outfit. The stained glass lapel design, the dark half-mask that reveals snowy-white hair – very chilling, very villain-like. The tainted purple eyes and near-translucent pupils grant him an aura of madness, which makes him look very intimidating. It’s more fashionable than his previous suits.

Monarch runs like a badly rigged 3D model.

This man is way too gleeful.

Woah!! Reminds me of Avengers Endgame, Monarch stepping back into the Lady Wifi episode. The animators had to go back in their archives and find all the models for that episode and re-animate the scene. Cool!

This man grew creepier.

Their little cat-and-mouse game should've broken the universe. Death, time, and, dimensions are three staples you do not mess with in any media. Let those who passed pass, let regrets remain regrets, and stop trying to crawl out of where you belong.

I feel like no one can use the word 'Master' nowadays without feeling like a complete fool. From the amount of times Monarch called himself 'master', either he’s used to being called a genius in an atelier, a maestro, or he’s on a total power-trip.

Five Miraculous at once? This man is going to get himself killed.

This man looks so camp. This outfit would sell on a red carpet. Love how any weapon Monarch manifests are purple. Shame that all the weapons are literally copies of what their previous Holders weld. The in-universe reason could be that Monarch hasn’t properly bonded with the Kwami in order to imbue his weapons with his personal taste. But we all know the animators just didn’t have the resources for fancier gadgets.

Shame. For a show centred on fashion, Zag should really allow the animators to go a little nuts with personalised suits and weapons. That’s the whole point of different holders, isn’t it? Each member of Madame Bustier’s class has individual aesthetics, that could play really well into their Miraculous designs.

Ladybug giving Chat Noir the Rabbit Miraculous. That’s surprising. An earlier version of Ladybug wouldn’t have trusted him.

Rabbit Noir’s suit looks awesome! It’s literally just his Chat Noir suit with added blue highlights, but he looks very neon, very snazzy. His hair is uncovered, for once, and the bell is white! I like how the Rabbit Watch is hooked onto his belt. Quite rakish.

Monarch is literally on his last legs seven minutes into the first episode. This man is either going to ambiguously perish, or end up in a coma by the end of the season.

Lmao, they’re straight up bullying him at this point.

And we’re back to the moment we saw earlier.

Oh my goodness, he looks so handsome.

Note that Rabbit Noir's umbrella is completely black with a cyan end. Little personalisation.

If they had attacked him at this moment, the show would’ve been over. But Ladybug and Chat Noir has too much battlefield honour to bludgeon a fallen opponent, even one as annoying as Monarch. Honestly, if I was there, I would’ve been seriously considering the relevance of calling an ambulance. You do not want someone's death on your hands, especially when you can do something about it/has a duty to do something about it. Why isn’t there a Miraculous that could heal? Probably because that'll solve the Émilie issue real soon, and there'll be no need to chase after Ladybug and Chat Noir. Of course, it’s not needed in-universe as nothing really grievous happen to the heroes, but in all team-based media, there’s always the leader and the second-in-command and the wild card, and the either gruff or sensitive healer. I suppose Ladybug is the healer, since she has the Miraculous Cure. The Bee Holder could probably also heal, bees has been a symbol of doctoring since classic Hellenic times.

The once-use-only power rule was very cute in the earlier seasons, especially as it’s used as a puzzle stimulator for young audiences. Adds an element of danger and urgency when the beeping timer starts. But I feel that Miraculous is at the point where the main heroes should be overcoming this basic burden.

I hope Ladybug gets a suit upgrade in this season, I hope both of them do, they’ve long deserved it, especially Chat Noir. Look at how cool they look standing together here. The black on Ladybug’s suit makes her look older, more professional. I get the nostalgia of the OG suit, but part of growing up is saying goodbye to treasured memorabilia. Ladybug should permanently keep her Lucky Charm suit. But I suppose the OG suit is easier to cosplay.

Kwami requiring human food for nourishment always rang wrong to me since Season 1. Back then, it was a very distant concept, just some sweet garnish that contributes to the child-centric ideals of the show, but as the seasons go on, it feels more and more impossible and unrealistic for the Kwami to be reliant on food to maintain their powers. The embodiment of creation perishing because she isn’t regularly fed macarons just doesn’t sound right.

Re: they look so cool.

Oh, her lashes are so long here. Marinette is super pretty. I know there’s accusations of her being whitewashed, but 1) she is white. She’s both white and Asian, and 2) the first time I saw Miraculous, I genuinely thought the writers did their research, because Marinette is the peak of Douyin beauty standards. Little Chinese girls would wow over Marinette.

I do not like Fu. I mentioned in my fics before, but not on this Tumblr. He’s a very weak person and ineffective leader.

Alix wants to study engineering! That’s surprising. I don’t think she has ever shown any penchant for science before. She always struck me as the kind of person who would do competitive skating, or live as a street artist.

Also, this painting! Napoléon crowing Joséphine!! Fits within the theme of Monarch, a self-important man attaining and maintaining absolute power, granting all luxuries to his loved spouse. I really appreciate all the French symbols and culture and art that has shown up throughout Miraculous.

Huh, so the reason why Bunnix is always hopping around time instead of staying with the Miraculous Team is to keep the Rabbit Miraculous, the 'most dangerous' one, out of Papillon/Monarch’s hands. As Bunnix is still keeping up with the hopping even as Papillon’s reign ended, then the Butterfly predecessor villain must also be gunning for the Rabbit Miraculous in the same way.

Poor Alix. One isn’t supposed to consider the mechanics of stuff such as this in cartoons, but they did acknowledge it in the show. Alix is sacrificing a lot, taking on a huge burden, to keep Paris safe. That’s the mark of a hero.

Félix didn’t wear one, but the Dog Miraculous has a penchant for putting its holders in berets. I suppose it’s easier to give them the dog ears without looking like a duplicate of the Cat and Fox Miraculous.

The Balle isn’t attached to her collar, it’s literally glued onto her suit???

Chat Noir’s, Bunny Noir’s, hand looks really good here. I always liked his claws, no other carnivorous mammal, or even the Dragon, has them. Tigresse Pourpre has claws, but they’re attached to her gauntlet, not her actual fingers as Chat Noir’s appears to be.

Nathalie is literally all that’s keeping the Agreste Household together. Is Gabriel even doing his job anymore?

Going back in time to save Émilie before she uses the damaged Peafowl Miraculous seems like a good idea, but surely that’ll spark another timeline with entirely new consequences, wouldn’t it? That’s how these science-fiction storylines usually go. But you're not supposed to think about that, that's way too complicated.

Nathalie coming up with solid plans. Instead of chasing a solution, why not just fix the problem so that it doesn’t exist?

Émilie is super, super pretty. I can see what Adrien takes from her. She looks like a Sakamoto Shin-ichi character.

Defeated by your own hubris. It’ll literally take only a second to drop the memory drive.

This looks pretty snazzy. The dual stacked layers on the mask looks much better than the halved pattern from the Dog alone.

At least one Miraculous is kept safe from Monarch, and it’s potentially the most dangerous one. Other Miraculous has a lot of attack power, think the Dragon or the Ox, but not a lot of ability to mess around with reality or space or timelines. Would give Monarch the crux of the advantage, basically. Other Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noir will need to watch out for are the Snake and the Goat.

The future does not belong to those that live in the past. The future belong to those who lives in the present and cautiously plans for the future.

Trivial detail: but I never liked Chat Noir’s ears. They look childish, and they also appear to be clipped onto nothing. His longer hair has to hide his human ears because otherwise, it’ll look strange. Dual listening appendages.

Nathalie confirming that the Miraculous War has much more to do with saving Émilie now, Gabriel has become obsessed with defeating his adversaries. Falling into a glue trap of his own making. I’m actually surprised that Nathalie said Gabriel’s obsession is with both Ladybug and Chat Noir. Usually, it’s just Ladybug.

Miss Lila! She appears once in the episode. This still makes her look so much like an ordinary girl. I hope Lila also get a new outfit this season. She won’t keep it permanently, but like how Chloé occasionally get novelty outfits.

This was a great first episode! It resolves so many issues – such as taking the outlier Rabbit Miraculous from Gabriel's hands – and introduced a major plot overturn, Gabriel's loyal henchwoman finally leaving his side. Sprinkle in a little fan-service, Rabbit Noir who is also integral to the narrative, and a flash of an appearance from the soon-to-come 'main' Miraculous villain.

So, it's my first miraculous salt. Today I will be reviewing Episode 1 of Season 5. I will review all of the season eventually, I tried to get prints of them talking But I couldn't find any site, they didn't had subtitles or they had watermarks, I hope I can fix this in the future, I know I am quite late so let's begin!

Today we a are going to talk about evolution

We start the episode with the resolution of the cliffhanger they left in Strike Back

The reporter that I honestly don’t care about start explaining to the audience- I mean the viewers of her show about what happened and for some reason everyone is on the side of ladybug. Ladybug and chat noir yells at the shadow moth’s butterfly face. Oh, he calls himself monarch now? Gabi, you are in France, its not a good idea to call yourself that.

Anyways ladybug and chat noir yells at monarch’s butterfly face. So now he can hear what the akumas hear? Intersecting concept I guess

chat noir breaks the turtle shield with his baton because this shield already lost his value 2 seasons ago. Ladybug uses her yoyo to scare the akumas away

Ladybug: thank you chat noir

Chat noir: it’s you and me

Another one for the compilation of Adrien being a hypocrite yey :D

Gabriel talks to Emily’s body again while explaining the audience that he got the miraculous and blablabla. Second time they explain this, lets see how many time they are going to say that Gabriel got the jewels

But really I thing this scene is good. they intersperse between gabi and the heroes speaking they show of how Gabriel is a monster to the kwamis, and how he doesn’t care someone is going to die, he only care to achieve his goal, THAT IS WHAT A SCARY VILLAIN SHOULD ACT LIKE A GUY WHO CARES ABOUT HIMSELF AND HE ONLY AN ABUSIVE MANIPULATOR, a shame that gabriel’s reputation was ruined long long ago, but pretty good scene

He calls his girlfriend Nathalie and tells the audience that he got the jewels (X3).

And says that his plain is use the bunny miraculous to travel back in time and steal ladybug and chat noir’s miraculous when they were at their weak, wow a good plan? COMING FROM GABRIEL? This is what I call miraculous

But then. look at first this was good but from here is just bullshit

we have monarch’s design that just.

OK I have a LOT to talk about it. Why is he purple guy? The mask looks like batman and that crown thing looks so stupid in him. He has these things on his shoulders that are so awful. The sunglasses make him look even dumbber. And the butterfly in his body it’s so ugly, I get what they are trying to do here “he is a villain, the miraculous are too colorful, we can’t have colorful things in villains” but like, why didn’t they do the same with luzan (luz titan form) make the whole thing dark with just these light’s parts on, I know it probably wouldn’t get that goof but at least is better that what we got, and because his skin color is also purple It looks like he is necked, and why does his hair gives zeus vibes? Well I will give this desing a 1/10 I liked the gloves

We have a scene of a future version of ladybug and chat noi- sorry I mean, Rabbit noir. Following monarch from time

And then bunnix appears and explains to the two idiots monarch is using the time travel miraculous, bunnix, Alix, we all know how time travels works in this show, we saw monarch saying his plan out loud, THE AUDIENCE ALREADY KNOWS IT. AND I BET KNOW IT TOO THEY ALREADY SAW YOU USING IT. YOU DON’T NEED TO EXPLAAAA

Chat noir: Monarch didn’t waisted any time using his new powers

Ladybug: And of course, he started with the rabbit miraculous the most powerful one

Wasn’t the ladybug and black cat miraculous the most powerful ones? You know what, screw this

Monarch uses the borrow and goes back to the episode Lady Wifi steals Alya’s phone and use to paralyze her, I wonder what hawk moth at that time is thinking

They pull monarch back to the borrow with ladybugs yoyo

Monarch: Ladybug? Chat noir? How can you follow me throw time I am the one with the rabbit miraculous

Bunnix: amateur, time is like a river with multiple streams and the burrow is when they all come together you with me?

Bunnix: ok I’ll make it simple the burrow is like a car and we both got the keys

Ladybug: and we are going to take back the miraculous you stole from us right here and now

Spoiler: they didn’t take the miraculous back

Monarch fuses with the fox the bee and the turtle the miraculous and runs off using mirage to distract the heroes while he paralyzes bunix with venon, and makes a shield using the turtle for they don’t get the miraculous before him. hm neat plan

Unfortunally for gabe the turtle miraculous dosent have any value anymore so chat noir just cataclysms it and they get the rabbit miraculous after ladybug again uses her yoyo to catch him

He unifies with the dragon miraculous and flies away

Chat noir gives ladybug the rabbit miraculous. But ladybug gives it back saying that he should wear it and chat fuses into Rabbit noir

Honestly, I think the design is pretty decent, its not amazing but it doesn’t suck

I think black and cyan/blue mix very well, they use some cyan in the suit. I am not the fan of the pattern they put the cyan but very cool, the ears are too big in my opinion but its cool just. This doesn’t remember me of a bunny. Looks more like tech but not a bunny. And because of that for the rest of the review your name will be tech noir. For the design 7/10

Monarch goes to the episode copycat and tries to get chat noir’s miraculous just to ladybug and tech noir to appear and they start a time travel chase scene

But tech noir uses his borrow again? But he is a teen, so he should detrasform, but we get an explanation to that

Ladybug: how is that possible? you already used your power

Tech noir: Have I used or am I going to? Looks like the miraculous of time is unaffected by regular time

Ok makes sense, but ladybug, you used it just one episode ago, shouldn’t you know it already?

They travel to heroes’ day just so they get out of there in less than a second making the whole scene poitless. We see alya and nino kissing blablabla

And they go to backwarder, where monarch fuses with the dog miraculous and fech the rabbit but because gabe is using to many miraculous at once he gets weak and dies I mean he doesn’t die. But it looks like so

So now monarch is sleeping the heroes have him literally on their feet what will they do?

a) Take the miraculous back

b) Make sure there’s no way of him escaping and then the miraculous back

c) Take the only bunny miraculous slower than a turtle and then get distracted by their dead master

Gabriel unfuses with some of the miraculous fetch the rabbit back to him and creates a shield

Ladybug: destroy his shield!

Tech Noir: I already used my cataclysm

Wait but you are telling me that he can use the borrow multiple times but the cataclysmt? Doesn’t it apply the same logic as the bunny? Have he used or is he going to use, HOW ONE WORKS BUT NOT THAT DOSENT MAKE ANY SENSE

Monarch fuses with the bunny again and run away YOU HAD HIM RIGHT THERE YOU IDIOTS

Ladybug cries because she was an idiot and tech noir assure her that she wasn’t (which is a lie) and she actives her lucky charm which is a mini miracle box same lucky charm as in heroes day which they don’t know how to use. chat fucking flirts with her, it’s not the time buddy and they go talk to their dead master when he was young. And Monarch goes back to the episode reverser, I miss season 2, when this show was actually good

Even after unfusing with some kwamis he still is dying so he asks the rest of the kwamis why

Sass(amongus?): Kwamis need to be feed, without food we become week and so do your powers

Monarch: I know but I have nothing for you I AM YOUR MASTER

Sass: if you destroy us, you will destroy yourself too

But adults can use miraculous without recharging that’s the whole point, you know what? I Don’t care

Monarch goes to the train where his girlfriend is in and detransforms and ask her for food

While that ladybug and tech noir talks to master fu explain everything and he... fucking belives? It’s really that easy? I wont question anymore I just want to be done with this episode

They get the dog miraculous and give them to little Alix which transforms into canine girl

Her desing is the best new desing in the whole episode and the best desing for the dog holders. Her name kinda sucks thought

Yet I love how they used brown instead of orange, the beret was a nice touch, she has the ball in her chest to represent the adult bunnix having a white lil thing in her’s perfection

I will give her a 8.6/10 not perfect but great

And we get an emotional moment (it lasts less than a minute but still) where alix says bye to her father, she can’t stay around anymore, she has to protect the bunny miraculous and fullfill her destiny, but they just make it last some seconds and lets go back to Gabriel, is it called wasted potential?

They go back to when they had monarch in their feet but instead of getting the miraculous they just say to alix fetch it

And they go to heroes day, when AGAIN they could defeat scarlet moth (Other stupid name) and then it would all be fine but they rather set up a trap for monarch

Which Gabriel Nathalie teels Gabriel to give to his past self the tutorial to how fix the peacock and save Nathalie and Emelie. He transforms and go to that time give the tutorial and time is erased and everything got fine :D

Of course, not because every human being in this show has 1 brain cell

Miraculous Descendent Chapter 47: Simon Says: Stay Inside

Previous Chapter

While Kim is trying to cheer Simon up before his Akumatization. The rest of the class glares at Alec. Well, most of them are. Marinette and Nate are still distracted from figuring out what to do about Sabine and possibly their dads.

"What are we going to do? Do we tell her about all of this?" Nate asks in a panic.

"I was told it was a bad idea for superheroes to reveal their identities. Plus, she'll find out I figured out how to open our family's puzzle box. I don't want to hurt her like that. She's dreamed of seeing what's inside for so long, and if she finds out that I figured out how to open it twice and didn't tell her, it'll crush her." Marinette explains with a pained and worried expression.

"Okay, okay, so we can't tell her about the puzzle box and you being a hero. What are we going to tell her then?" Nate asks.

"I don't know," Marinette says in a panic.

As they try and figure out what to do about this, Aurore is stewing in anger as she glares at Alec for his dirty trick and lack of empathy for Simon. It reminds her too much of what happened to her during the weather girl contest. She's so frustrated by this situation that she doesn't notice someone let out a terrified gasp or the black butterfly heading toward her and entering one of her hair ties.

"Stormy Weather, it's good to see you again. I'm here to offer you the power to create another disaster against injustice, this time of another. All I ask in exchange is for you to bring me a Miraculous. Do we have a deal?" Hawkmoth asks her.

"You've got a deal, Hawkmoth," Aurore smirks before she's transformed back into Stormy Weather.

As she's being transformed, those around her begin to panic.

"Oh, not again." Alec cringes while Mireille freezes in fear as her mind flashes back to what happened to her last time.

Others are beginning to panic and heading straight toward the door, with Alixe leading the charge due to her athletic and quick nature. As they're running out, Kim opens the studio doors while screaming.

"Akuma!"

"We know!" Alix shouts at him as she tries to get past him.

Adrien watches as confusion adopts Kim's face and quickly realizes what he's talking about. He grabs Nino by the sleeve in the hallway while the others run.

"Dude. What are you doing?" Nino asks in confusion and worry.

Mr. Garde also looks at Adrien in confusion, but Adrien doesn't care.

"Kim wasn't in the room when Aurore was Akumatized. He shouldn't have known there was an Akuma unless another one appeared. We need to hide." Adrien explains before hearing the screams of the people who went down the right corridor after leaving the studio room.

The three turn their heads to see multiple people running back toward them.

"Simon says, freeze!" A voice shouts over the screams as some members of the panicking crowd, including Nathaniel and Max, are hit in the back with cards with a pause symbol on their fronts.

When hit in the back with those cards, they freeze in place as if Lady Wifi paused them.

Behind the group is Hawkmoth's newest Akuma, Simon Says.

Simon Says, like most Akumas that have appeared, has a human appearance with purple-tinted skin, a black butterfly-shaped domino mask, and a two-toned V-neck suit that's green on the left side, purple on the right side with some white in the middle and a black butterfly-shaped collar. On his right arm is a green glove, and on his left arm is a purple glove. He also wears skintight green boots. On his head is a matching green top hat with a purple sash and black edges. Attached to the side of his hip is a box containing his deck of cards.

"I hate being right." Adrien cringes when he sees the second Akuma.

"Ah, if it isn't the little Agreste. Perfect timing. Simon Says you'll help him get to your father." Simon Says announces as he walks toward the three.

Mr. Garde pushes Adrien and Nino back, signaling for them to run, before charging at the Akuma with his fist raised.

"Ah. You big gorilla. You think you can stop me? Well, Simon Says, become a real gorilla." Simon Says announces as he pulls out a card.

The card face suddenly gains a black gorilla symbol, and he throws it at Mr. Garde. When the card hits Mr. Garde, it seems to disappear and causes Mr. Garde to pause. Mr. Garde soon puts his fists to the ground and crouches before acting like a real gorilla.

Adrien and Nino stare at this in shock while Simon Says gives them a confident smirk.

"Now, Simon Says, capture the mini Agreste," Simon Says orders Mr. Garde while pointing at Adrien.

Mr. Garde turns toward the teens and charges at them like a gorilla. Nino quickly takes his friend's hand and leads Adrien away in an attempt to run.

"Let's go, dude!" Nino screams while dragging him away.

That wakes Adrien up, and the two begin running.

While this happens, Marinette and Nate are in the studio room still. They hid behind one of the studio storage cases when the Akuma appeared.

"Now, Aurore. I know we've had our ups and downs. But this is how television works. We've got to have a little fun and pull some pranks sometimes for people's entertainment. Besides, I assumed Gabriel would've gone along with the show since he had the time when the studio made an appointment." Alec tries to appease the girl.

That doesn't seem to help his case, though. Stormy Weather simply growls as she stalks toward him before she hears a small whimper.

Turning to see a fearful Mireille, Stormy Weather's face softens slightly, and she calmly walks toward the girl while placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry for what happened last time. You were more or less just a tool for him to mock me with." Stormy Weather apologizes to a shocked Mireille before turning toward Alec with her scathing glare returning.

Mireille stands there frozen while Stormy Weather walks toward Alec.

"Hurry up and transform," Nate tells Marinette in a low whisper.

"Right." Marinette nods as Tikki comes out of her hiding place.

"Tikki spots on." Marinette urgently orders in a low whisper.

Tikki flies into the earrings, and a bright red light flashes around Marinette.

"That's bright," Nate mutters as he rubs his eyes in pain.

As this happens, Alec laughs nervously as he tries to find the light in this situation.

"On the bright side, at least you don't have your umbrella. So, no lightning or ice beams, right?" Alec asks hopefully.

Stormy Weather smirks as she raises a finger toward him. A lightning bolt fires from it and lands next to Alec's head, causing him to scream in fear.

"That's the thing about storms, Alec. They can be unpredictable." Stormy Weather laughs as she closes in on Alec.

"They're also supposed to be outside," Ladybug tells Stormy Weather from behind.

Stormy Weather quickly turns around to see Ladybug glaring at her while standing on one of the studio storage cases. When she sees Ladybug, she scowls harder before it turns into an excited smirk.

"Ladybug. This is perfect. It's time I get payback for your sun canceling out my storm. Your partner isn't here to save you this time either. He'll be too busy dealing with my partner." Stormy Weather says before she begins floating in the air.

"I don't need Cat Noir to take you down." Ladybug confidently says as she shouts.

"Seamstress!" She shouts as she changes into her Sunny Seams suit.

"Oh, this is going to be bad," Nate mutters when he realizes he's about to be caught between these two.

However, someone else catches his attention. Alya is recording this confrontation from behind the craft services table while grinning.

"This is going to be awesome. I can't believe how lucky I am. I didn't even have to chase them to record this time." Alya happily says.

Back with Adrien and Nino, they're running from the beast-like Mr. Garde while Simon Says confidently walks through the halls, turning anyone he sees into his slaves to help capture the teens.

"This is bad. I won't be able to transform unless we can lose them." Adrien thinks before he tries to come up with a plan.

"We need to find somewhere to hide," Adrien tells Nino.

"Where can we go?" Nino asks him.

Adrien tries to find somewhere up ahead. Luckily, he sees the door to a stairwell.

"The stairs. We can run to a different floor and try to lose them." Adrien tells him while looking toward the stair door.

"Alright." Nino agrees as they quickly rush toward the door.

They quickly slam open the door before closing it, causing Mr. Garde to crash head-first into it.

"Oh, that's going to leave a mark." Nino cringes when he hears the sound while leaning on the door.

"We should split up and confuse him while he's dazed," Adrien tells him, pointing up and down the stairwell.

"You sure, dude?" Nino asks in worry.

"Yeah. I'll go up." Adrien quickly says before running upstairs.

Nino watches him go for a second before following the plan and heading downstairs. On the other side of the door, Simon Says gives Mr. Garde an annoyed expression.

"You useless baboon. Can't you do one thing right?" He asks him in annoyance before cooling his expression.

"Not to worry. I'll just have to go to Agreste's place myself instead of using his son to get to him. Simon Says; off to Agreste Manor." Simon Says orders his mind-controlled minions before he enters an open elevator and heads for the lobby.

In the upper stairwells, Plagg and Adrien are having a conversation.

"What do I do? The Akuma is going to be after my dad." Adrien tells his Kwami in a panic.

"Then you should go and protect him if he's that important to you." Plagg helpfully adds in a flat tone as he states the obvious.

"But what if he and Nathalie realize I'm Cat Noir? We might be close to each other while I'm trying to protect them. This'll be the first time they've been around me as Cat Noir." Adrien explains to Plagg.

"You're overthinking this, kid," Plagg tells Adrien to calm him down.

 "Superhero rules. If your family knows that you're a hero, they'll be put in more danger." Adrien adds as he looks at his Kwami anxiously.

"They're in danger now. Look, kid. You have two options. Either go over there and save them or wait for Ladybug to do it. And don't forget there's a second Akuma, and she might not even know Akumas are running around." Plagg explains, neither knowing that Ladybug is currently fighting Stormy Weather.

Adrien taps on the stairway bar a few times as he tries to figure out what to do. Eventually, he nods in understanding.

"Alright. Maybe if I move quick enough, I can avoid having to see them as Cat Noir. Plagg claws out." Adrien orders before Plagg flies into his ring, and he transforms.

The elevator door in the lobby dings before opening to show Simon Says to anyone in the lobby. He walks out into the center of the front. The occupants look at him in confusion before he pulls out some cards.

"Simon Says, become my loyal zombie army!" Simon Says as he throws all the cards at once.

All of the cards hit the different people in the lobby. After getting hit, everyone's eyes dilate slightly, and they begin groaning like zombies.

"Now, my army, off to Agreste Manor so I can complete my challenge," Simon Says while pointing toward the door.

"Not so fast!" Cat Noir's voice shouts from the stairwell as he jumps away from it toward the front door, blocking the army's path.

"Ah, if it isn't the sidekick. Perfect. I can complete two challenges at once by taking your Miraculous while my partner handles Ladybug." Simon Says smiles.

"Actually, we're partners. I'd appreciate it if you didn't refer to me as a sidekick. Ever since I got my second power, I've felt more comfortable being considered her partner." Cat Noir explains calmly while lowering his staff and raising a finger.

"Don't care. Simon Says, get him." Simon Says orders his army while pointing at Cat Noir.

"Oh, not this again. Why are a lot of the recent Akumas using mind control?" Cat Noir groans as he sees the mob charging at him.

He quickly uses his baton to push the incoming zombies away as lightly as possible.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry." Cat Noir apologizes as he swings and hits them with his baton to keep them back.

He then quickly backflips above the doors so he isn't overwhelmed. He latches onto the wall and glares at Simon Says.

"Yes, yes, you have impressive strength and acrobatic skills. However, it'll take more than that to stop me." Simon Says waves off his ability display as he pulls out a card.

Cat Noir aims his baton at Simon Says and extends it to try and hit the Akuma. However, Simon Says launches a card to meet it while saying.

"Simon Says that's useless."

When the card makes contact with the baton, it suddenly falls apart on a shocked Cat Noir. Cat Noir looks at the chunk in his hand before looking down toward Simon Says.

"Now that is just unfair." Cat Noir complains before jumping off the wall to avoid the cards Simon Says throws at him.

Back with Ladybug, she and Stormy Weather are locked in a power clash while circling each other. Stormy Weather launches lightning from her hands while Ladybug shoots fire from hers.

"This is awesome!" Alya says with a grin as she records the fight.

While she's doing that, Nate is leading Alec and Mireille out of the studio room.

"Come on, move it. You have to get out of here while Ladybug keeps the villain busy." Nate tells them as he pushes them out of the room.

"Thank you," Alec says in relief.

"Maybe next time, you'll think about not pulling a stunt like this when we have a magic terrorist. Seriously, this is the second Akuma you caused. Well, the second and third, technically. You get the idea." Nate snaps at him as he pushes the two out.

Once they two are out of the room, Nate turns to see if anyone else needs to evacuate before having to duck as a stray lightning bolt passes over his head.

"Watch it!" Nate shouts while looking toward the two to see them flying around and avoiding each other's attacks.

He quickly stands back up and sees Alya is the only one left. He quickly rushes toward her and ducks behind cover.

"We should be leaving too, you know." He tells her.

"You can go. I'm staying here. Do you know how hard it is to get good videos of our heroes fighting the villains? This'll look great on my blog." Alya says excitedly as she continues to film the fight with a grin.

"Is there any way I can talk you out of this?" Nate asks hopefully, wanting to get everyone out and be gone to make things easier for Marinette and safer for him.

"Nope. I might finally have something to help my blog take off. I am not risking losing this chance." Alya tells him before they duck to avoid a stray attack.

In the fight itself, Ladybug is struggling against Stormy Weather.

"It's not so easy when you don't have any help. Too bad for you, but my backup is already fighting against Cat Noir. So, he can't help you." Stormy Weather laughs while chasing the hero.

"Cat Noir's fighting another Akuma. I need to hurry up and help him." Ladybug thinks before she has her wings shoot fireballs backward at Stormy Weather.

Stormy Weather manages to maneuver around to avoid them. However, one singes her hair as she tries to dodge it.

"Hey! Watch the hair!" Stormy Weather snaps at the hero in anger.

"Kind of hard when the butterfly is trapped in your hair ties," Ladybug tells her as she fires another fireball at the villainess.

Stormy Weather growls while avoiding Ladybug's attack and launching one of her own.

Back with Cat Noir, he's currently outside the TV station and using the more open space to dodge his enemies better while trying to figure out how to get close to Simon Says without his baton. Unfortunately, nothing is really working since the zombie army manages to deter him along with Simon Says' cards.

"Simon Says freeze!" Simon Says shouts as he throws another set of cards at Cat Noir.

Cat Noir quickly backflips away as the cards hit where he once was. As he does, another set of zombies charge at him to try and grab him. Thinking fast, Cat Noir runs away and starts climbing up one of the building walls.

To make matters worse, Simon Says has been adding to his army as he slowly moves toward Agreste Manor, making Cat Noir's job more difficult as time goes on.

"Simon Says, act like rock climbers and chase Cat Noir," Simon Says orders as he takes two handfuls of cards and throws them at some of his minions.

The minions quickly start scaling the wall after the hero.

"Oh, come on. Is there anything you can't make people do? I thought hypnotism couldn't make someone do what they normally wouldn't be able to?" Cat Noir complains as he sees the people chasing after him.

"That's what makes me the greatest hypnotist. And I'll prove it soon by bringing Gabriel Agreste out of his home and showing Paris I can hypnotize him." Simon Says laughs before pulling out another card.

"Simon Says, drive me to Agreste Manor," Simon Says orders while throwing the card into Mr. Garde's back.

Mr. Garde and Simon Says get into Adrien's limo and quickly drive off, with Simon Says' army of zombies following behind them.

"Oh no!" Cat Noir panics when he sees Simon Says drive off.

He quickly runs across the rooftops after the car while being chased.

"Gotta stop them before they get to the house." Cat Noir thinks in a panic.

As he runs, the side of the TV station building breaks to reveal Ladybug being thrown out by one of Stormy Weather's lightning bolts.

"Hahahaha. What's wrong, hero? The storm getting too violent for you?" Stormy Weather laughs as she flies out of the building after Ladybug.

"Enough with the weather puns!" Ladybug angrily shouts at her, having enough of Stormy Weather's humor.

She quickly shoots several fireballs toward the villainess as she tries to close the distance between them. One of them lands dead on Stormy Weather and sends her flying backward. Stormy Weather quickly recovers and growls at Ladybug. However, the hero is nowhere in sight, hiding behind a building to catch her breath.

"This is tough. Maybe I shouldn't have gone with this suit. I need to find a way to get her hair tie." Ladybug mutters as she keeps to the wall.

"Oh, Ladybug. Come out, come out wherever you are." Stormy Weather calls out.

"I need a distraction." Ladybug thinks as she flies away while keeping low so Stormy Weather doesn't spot her.

She looks around before she sees some trash in an alleyway. When she notices it, she gets an idea.

Stormy Weather scowls as she slowly floats around over the buildings below her. She can't see Ladybug anywhere and is cautious so she doesn't get sneak attacked. She soon notices smoke building near her and smirks, assuming Ladybug's fire is giving her away.

"How unfortunate, Ladybug, your fire gives you away. Don't worry, though; a little rain should douse them." Stormy Weather laughs as she speeds toward where the smoke is.

She quickly looks to where the smoke is, expecting to see Ladybug. However, instead, she's met with the sight of burning trash.

"What the?" Stormy Weather questions before Ladybug tackles her from behind.

"Gotcha!" Ladybug shouts as she reaches for the hair tie.

"Get off me!" Stormy Weather shouts in a panic when she realizes who is on her.

While the two struggle, Cat Noir is panicking as the army surrounds his civilian identity's home. He couldn't stop them in time, and now Simon Says is outside his gate.

"This is bad, this is bad, this is bad." Cat Noir constantly repeats in his head as he jumps over the gate and knocks on the mansion doors. 

Unknown to him, someone else in the mansion is figuring out what to do about this situation.

"Stormy Weather is busy dealing with Ladybug. So, I can't rely on controlling her if things turn out worse than what I expected. However, I can't risk forcing Simon Says to forget about his desire without looking suspicious. It's a heavy risk, but it's one I'll have to take since it'll let me get close to the other Miraculous wielders." Hawkmoth thinks as he quickly uses Kaleidoscope to get upstairs to his office.

As he does, his tablet rings with an alert from Nathalie. Gabriel answers the emergency call to see a panicked Nathalie and Cat Noir.

"Gabriel. An Akuma is after you and is currently right outside the mansion with an army of mind-controlled citizens." Nathalie tells him in a panic.

Gabriel doesn't change his indifferent and stern expression since he knows what's happening and calmly orders.

"Then activate the mansion's defenses. That should be enough to hold back the enemy while Cat Noir takes care of the Akuma." Gabriel tells Nathalie while looking toward Cat Noir.

Nathalie quickly does what she's told and activates the mansion's emergency defense system. Suddenly, metal shields lower in front of the mansion's windows, and the mansion's gate seems to be reinforced to keep the army out.

"That should keep them out. I will be down in a minute to meet with our guest." Gabriel tells them before ending the call.

Soon, Gabriel is in the lobby and walking toward Cat Noir.

"It's nice to meet one of Paris' heroes. I thank you for coming to my family's time of need." Gabriels says as he walks toward Cat Noir.

"No p-problem. It's a hero's j-job to help those in d-danger." Cat Noir nervously says, stuttering and trying to change his voice so his father wouldn't recognize him.

"Are you okay? You seem nervous. Is the villain that dangerous?" Gabriel asks calmly with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh, yes. They're definitely that dangerous. They managed to destroy my baton, and it's been hard handling them." Cat Noir latches onto the question.

"I see. I hope my son is okay then," Gabriel says as he turns toward a family picture hanging on the mansion's stairwell.

It shows him and his wife standing together while she holds a baby, Adrien.

Cat Noir looks at the picture sadly before fixing his expression when Gabriel speaks again.

"Lovely, aren't they?" Gabriel asks Cat Noir in a nostalgic tone.

"What?" Cat Noir asks Gabriel in surprise.

"My family. Aren't they lovely? They're my masterpiece in life." Gabriel explains to Cat Noir while having a longing look in his eyes.

"Yeah." Cat Noir nods.

"Marrying my wife was the crowning achievement in my life. My time with her was worth more than the time used developing my company." Gabriel explains to Cat Noir's shock.

"Father loves his company, though. He's so proud of it." Cat Noir thinks as his father goes on.

"It even led to the birth of my greatest creation. My son Adrien." Gabriel states.

"I'm his greatest creation in life?" Cat Noir thinks in shock.

"He's going through his rebellious phase right now. I can't help but see his mother in him. She rebelled against her family to marry me, you see." Gabriel drops another bomb before continuing.

"However, I hope this phase ends soon. The world is a dangerous place, as I'm sure you know. His mother and I went through a lot of hardships in our lives. We've seen a lot of the horror within this world. So, we know how dangerous it can be. That's why I'd like to see him safely back home and happy." Gabriel finishes his story with his face slipping from calm to sad.

Cat Noir doesn't know how to react to this. Unfortunately, he doesn't have time to, as Nathalie looks at them with a panicked expression.

"They're breaking through the gate." She informs Gabriel, who narrows his eyes in confusion.

"Impossible. This house is built like a fortress." Gabriel states.

Outside the mansion, Simon Says gets annoyed by the lack of progress and pulls out some cards.

"Simon Says, break down this gate," Simon Says orders before the image of a bull appears on his cards, and he throws them at some of his army.

Seemingly gaining a newfound strength, the ones hit with the cards begin to push the gate with great force and eventually cause it to fall on the ground. With that obstacle out of the way, the army charges toward the mansion to complete their mission.
