Is laneige worth it?🤔💭
Tumblr media
I recently managed to get my hands on some Laneige products, which have been pretty viral recently, but the products are quite on the pricier side, so is this viral product really worth investing in?
Today, I'll be talking about their lip masks, lip balms, and their water sleeping mask.
Laneige lip masks:
This is what really went viral. I brought the 'midnight minis' set, which consists of mango, berry, gummy bear , candy, and vanilla lip masks. My lips have always been dry, so I was looking forward to this the most, and I have to say these were worth the hype. I put these on before bed, and my lips have always been super moisturised in the morning. These also do smell great. So is it worth it? Yes.
Laneige glowy lip balm:
I have to say this one was quite disappointing 😞. It does leave lips glowy like it says, but vasaline is cheaper and better. Lip balms and vasaline are meant to retain moisture, but this just left my lips feeling dry. You can get a lot better for a lot cheaper. Is it worth it? No.
Laneige water sleeping mask:
This product has one multiple awards, and rightfully so. It feels great on the skin, very light and cooling. It leaves my face very moisturised in the meaning and does give a bit of a glass skin effect . It does make quite a big difference and is my favourite product so far. Is it worth it? Yes
Please keep in mind that everyone's skin is differnce and what works for me might not work for you. I hope this was helpful to some of you :)

Mental glow up daily routine
Tumblr media
All this routine takes is a little bit of will power but then it's going to lead to life changing results!
Morning (on weekdays):
Get up at 5 (early, I know) but it's worth it. You can use this time just for yourself. Think of how you want your day to go.
At 5:15 go and open the curtains (helps you more than you think) and freshen up. Do what ever you do like wash your face and all that stuff.
At 5:45, make yourself a nutritious breakfast. What you eat in the morning affects your day.
While having breakfast listen to positive affirmations. It's like a life hack into becoming the person you want to be with the least amount of effort. Just be consistent with it.
After this you have time to do whatever you want, but I would recommend going out for a walk.
Evenings (on weekdays):
Relax for an hour, have some fruits or any other snack
Set a deadline for when your work has to be finished. By doing this you procrastinate less since by giving your self a deadline instead of telling yourself when you start the work.
Before bed, don't use any electronics. Allow your body to switch off.
Do any of the following:
Mediate for at least 5 minutes
Journal
Write a diary
Read
Do a hobby
Mornings (on weekends)
You can wake up at anytime you want and eat whatever you want
Plan out your day
Listen to a podcast
Clean your room
Get your work done
Choose a fun place to go out to
Evenings (on weekends)
Choose one day to stay awake late and enjoy and for the others go to bed early and follow the routine for weekdays. The weekend is the time for your body to reset and relax, so take care of it.
I hope this helps some of you. Remember that even doing this 3 days a week is still beneficial. Byeeeeeee

What skincare to use to help acne <3
Tumblr media
First of all, keep in mind that acne is natural. It's nothing we should feel extremely insecure about. Everyone's beautiful in their own way 🙂.
Salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid. It’s well-known for reducing acne by exfoliating the skin and keeping pores clear. When your pores get plugged with dead skin cells and oil, blackheads, whiteheads or pimples often appear. Salicylic acid penetrates your skin and works to dissolve the dead skin cells clogging your pores. Salicylic acid is consider safe for teens to use as well. If you use this make sure to follow with a very hydrating moisturiser as this acid can leave skin very dry as it removes oil from the skin.
Benzoyl peroxide. Benzoyl peroxide works as an antiseptic to reduce the number of germs and bacteria on the surface of your skin. Like Salicylic acid, it can also lead to dry skin so remember to use a moisturiser afterwards. This is also safe for teens to use.
Niacinamide acid. Niacinamide acid is a form of vitamin B3. Niacinamide is an anti-inflammatory that works to reduce the redness and swelling associated with acne. It also works to regulate the amount of acne-causing oil being produced by the glands in your skin. One cause of acne is to much sebum or oil being produced, so since niacinamide regulates the amount of sebum being produced it helps with acne. This product is also teen safe <3.
Diet. Sometimes your diet can lead to too much sebum production and affect your hormones causing an hormonal imbalance, which can also lead to acne and other skin concerns. Also remember to stay hydrated!
A lot of the time regularly washing your face might be enough. It honestly depends on you age and the amount of acne that you have. If you are considering using any of the product please research them and check with a doctor or dermatologist if you can use them. Remember that if you feel a burning sensation on your face your skin is getting irritated and you should stop using that product.
Lifestyle. How much excerise you do, the amount of stress you have can also impact acne as well.
I hope this helps some of you :D. Bye, and remember to stay postive.

How to be the best version of yourself <3
Tumblr media
Surround yourself with positive people. A key to becoming the best version of ourselves is positivity. A positive attitude helps us to see the better sides of things, which in turn helps us to navigate through tough times. It makes us see the good sides of people rather than the negative sides of them, which helps us strengthen our relationship with others. All of this is great for our mental health. The reason we should start with surrounding ourselves with positive people this is because their positivity will affect us, and we will be influenced by their mindset. In my personal opinion this is the best way to be a positive person yourself since changing your own mindset by yourself takes a lot of willpower and effort; by surrounding yourself with people with this mindset you won't have to do much effort
Positive affirmations. Yes, as you can tell, positivity is a massive theme when we talk about being the best version of yourself. Positive affirmations are basically saying positive things about yourself. All you have to do is say them to yourselves every day for 5 minutes, or find them on youtube and listen to them while you sleep or anytime of the day, and then see the magic happen within a week. It's basically like brainwashing yourself, but with your consent.
Growth mindset. Based on personal experience, this automatically happens when you have a positive mindset. But, for those of you who are struggling, think of it in this way, imagine you're at school, and get a bad test score, and the kid who gets 100 all the time obviously got a 100. Now, the next time you do a you do a test, the kid gets a 100, and you don't, but you have slightly improved, and that continues for the rest of the year. Let's say you make a chart of improvement and you compare yours with the class topper, you would have so much improvement on your chart compared to the other kid. This means that you have improved so much more than before, and you have learnt so much, but the other kid just has a straight line on their graph. So, at the end of the day, if you forget about what grades you both got, people would be more proud of you than the other kid since you have progressed more. You have learnt from your mistakes, and that's what a part of experiences life is about. The more you fail, the more experienced and wise you become, and the more you grow. You can only go up. That's what a growth mindset is about, knowing that failing isn't the end of the world and knowing you should keep trying again and again. Always learning from our mistakes and correcting them makes us grow and evolve. So, the next time you have improved, even if it's just by a little bit, throw yourself a big party.
I hope that this info has been helpful to some of you. Always remember to start with small steps and break big things down into smaller pieces. Bye❤️

Why I love the Y2K aesthetic
Tumblr media
I'm sure y2k is something we've all heard of at least once in our lives. It stands for the year 2000s. Many people may know it as an aesthetic, a type of fashion or the y2k computer bug. But I feel like we need to understand what really made the y2k aesthetic.
A lot of the time, based on what I've seen so far, people stereotype Y2k as a pretty hot pink room. But there is so much more to it underneath the surface.
The year 1993 was a revolutionary year as it was the year that the internet was created. Personally, I think the internet played a major role in shaping the y2k era. The internet allows us to explore so many things, so people at the time were discovering so much about the world it’s no doubt they made loads of discoveries about themselves. They had probably discovered many interests and hobbies. They felt free and unrestricted. Due to this, they started to express themselves. This is what made y2k the era of self-expression.
People were not afraid to show their true identity. This is one thing I admire about that era. Their clothing was bold and creative. Y2K was defined by art, design, fashion and technology. During the time technology was advancing quickly, it was fast-paced. Because of the sudden technological advancements, people were excited to see what the future held, they were thinking about gadgets that could exist in the future, it seems as if the whole word drastically changed in those few years, this is clearly evident in their clothing. They were optimistic for future.
The y2k era paved the way for the modern world in terms of fashion and technology. It wasn’t like now, where there are a lot of trends based on whatever looks good and aesthetically pleasing, but based on identity and self-expression. It was the era of change and transition from one era to another. This is why I love Y2K.

100% agreed
it's a little sad that people expect songs to always reflect the lives of the lyricist and not a sign of the lyricist's strong imagination.
you don't know mitski. you don't know hozier. kate bush did not witness a murder of a hammer horror star and take their role as the hunchback of notre dame (it would be fun if she did though)
