في كل مرة أرى فيها صندوق قمامة، أشعر بأن شيئا ما ينقصه!

نعم تذكرت، إنه عقلي، هذا مكانه الأمثل.

لطالما اعتقدت أن عقلي كائن آخر يتطفل على جسدي المسكين ويتسبب في معاناته..

لذا عندما سيأتي اليوم الذي سأنتحر فيه -إن شاء الله- سأشق رأسي أولا لأخرجه، أريد أن أنظر إليه رجلا إلى رجل -رغم شكي المتناهي في كون أيٍ منا رجلا- ثم أخيرا سأطعنه! سأطعنه كثيرا مخافة أن يحيا مرة أخرى، سأرمي به بعيدا كي لا يستطيع أن يرجع مكانه أبدا، آه نعم، سأرمي به في صندوق القمامة.

لم أكن أعلم أن إبصار جسدي من خارجه سيكون أكثر وضوحًا لهذه الدرجة، وجهي من جانبه يبدو أكثر قُبْحًا من الأمام، أو ربما يتنافسان في قبحيهما، لم أكن أعلم أني هزيل ومتورم هكذا، رغم أن جلدي ثخين! علمت هذا من خمس دقائق حين قتلت نفسي، الشيء الوحيد المتوقَع والذي أعرفه هو تلك الرائحة، لا، ليست التي تظن فقد مر خمس دقائق فقط، بل أقصد الرائحة المظلمة التي تصاحبني منذ زمن بعيد، تحديدًا منذ بداية رؤيتي للشيطان، لا تتفاجأ، وماذا تنتظر من عين شخص مثلي أن ترى؟ أظن أن هذا الذي قُيِّدَ لي ليُرْدِينِي، وأَشْهَدُ له أنه لم يتوانَ في مهمته، لم يتركني أبدًا، كنت أراه عندما أمشي فأخاف ولا أكمل، أراه في كلامي فأسكت، أراه بين الناس فأهجرهم، يبدع في إلباس حياتي عليّ، أتذكر أول مرة رأيته كان واقفًا على باب غرفتي ينظر إليّ في عينيّ، ثم استمر في هذا كل ليلة، وكان ذا وجهٍ أستطيع أن أصفه -بكل ثقة- بأنه الوحيد الأقبح من وجهي، فاتخذت قرارًا شجاعًا -ونادرًا ما يحدث- بأن أضع قفلًا على الباب، وفي الليلة التي تليها فهمت أن الأبواب المقفلَة لا تمنع الشياطين من أن يدخلوا قائلين "يعني جبان وغبي؟"

ولذا انتقمت وخططت بذكاءٍ أخيرًا، سأتركه في الغرفة وحده ينظر للدماء، وحتى لا يبذر قواته الخارقة في مجيئه الليلة تركت له القفل مفتوحًا، القفل الذي وجدته على المرآة.

"دِمَشْقُ" مِنْ 9000 قَبْلَ الْمِيلَادِ إِلَى 2019 مِيلَادِيًّا!

Damascus from 9000 BC to 2019 AD!

(english text below)

-9000 َقبل الميلاد، بداية إعمار واستطانة المنطقة حول هذا التاريخ. وتُعَدُّ دمشق أقدم مدن العالم والمأهولة بالبشر بشكل مستمر إلى الآن!

-6300 ق.م. تأسُّس تَلِّ الرَّمَادِ؛ وهو تل أثري من الطين والكلس جنوب غرب دمشق يوضح بقايا وبيوت سكانها القدامَى منذ 7230 ق.م.

-1400 ق.م. كتابة اسم "دمشق" بشكل واضح (تَمَسْق) على جدار "معبد الكرنك" ضمن المدن التي فتحها تحُتموس الثالث. كُتبت أيضا في "نُصوص تلّ العمارنة" بالصورة الأقرب (دِمَشْق). وذكرت كثيرًا قبل هذا التاريخ في مواضعَ مختلفةٍ من حضارات الشرق الأوسط ولكن بأسماء أخرى.

-1100 ق.م. تأسست مملكة "آرام دمشق" على المدينة، من أقوى ممالك عصرها. بنَوا دمشق المعروفة وسورها القديم، وما زالت قنوات ونظام توزيع المياه المُنْشَأ حينها هو أساس نظام المياه في دمشق إلى الآن!

-671 ق.م. بلغت الإمبراطورية الآشورية أقصى اتساعاتها (العراق والشام والأناضول ومصر وغيرهم) وبعد أن ضموا آرام إلى ملكهم بدأوا يتكلمون الآرامية لتصبحَ بعدها اللغة الرسمية لكامل الإمبراطورية سياسةً وعمومًا.

-بعد الميلاد، دَخَلَتْ المسيحيةُ دمشق سريعًا، وأصبحت الآراميةُ لغةَ المسيحية والإنجيل (ولا تزال لغتَها الأهم) وكلمة "دمشق" واردة في الكتاب المقدس ما يزيد عن 35 مرة.

-634 ميلاديًا، كنهاية للنزاع الطويل بين الفرس والبيزنطيين على دمشق، حاصر جيش المسلمين حاميتها البيزنطية ثم دخلوها صُلحًا.

-661م أصبحت دمشق عاصمة للخلافة الإسلامية؛ الدولة الأموية؛ والتي تُعَدُّ حينها أكبر إمبراطورية في تاريخ البشرية! شملت من السِنْدِ إلى الأَنْدَلُس!

-715 م الانتهاء من بناء الجَامِعِ الأُمَوِيِّ بدمشق، من أضخم وأقدم مساجد العالم، يحوي مدفن النبي "يَحْيَى" عليه السلام! أُلحِقَ بساحة المسجد مقبرة تضم رفات الْقَائِدِ النَّاصِرِ "صَلَاحِ الدِّينِ الْأَيُّوبِيِّ" ومجموعة من الشهداء. لا تزال الخمسُ صلوات تُقام في المسجد إلى اليوم! ينفرد عن كل مساجد العالم بما يُدعَى الأذان الجماعي على مآذنه الثلاثة.

-1148م أَجهَضت دمشقُ حصارَ الحملة الصليبية الثانية، وبالعموم دامت الممالك والمستوطنات الصليبية من 1096م إلى 1291م على أطراف دمشق ولم تستطع دخولها ولا تجاوزها.

-1903 م إنشاء المَدْرَسَةِ الطِّبِيَّةِ بِدِمَشْقَ، ثم أُكملت كجَامِعَةِ دِمَشْقَ؛ وهي أول جامعة حكومية في البلاد العربية. وجامعة دمشق -بالإضافة لباقي الجامعات السُّوريَّة الرسمية- هي الجامعات الوحيدة في العالم التي تدرس كل علومها في كل فروعها باللغة العربية! ومَعْهَدُ اللُّغَةِ الْعَرَبِيَّةِ في الجامعة يُعَدُّ أفضل مكان في العالم لتعلم العربية لغير المتحدثين بها!

-2019م صُنِّفَتْ دمشق من قِبَل "وَحْدَةِ الِاسْتِخْبَارَاتِ الِاقْتِصَادِيَّةِ" على أنّها أقلّ مدن العالم ملاءمةً للحياة!!

-9000 BC. Early settlement of the area is around that century. Damascus is the oldest continously-inhabited city in the world!

-6300 BC. Tell Ramad was founded at the site of the old village, in form of clay & limestone.

-1400 BC. Damascus was mentioned in the geographical list of Thutmose III as "t-m-s-q". The Akkadian spelling was found in Amarna Letters "dimashqu". However, it had been mentioned many times in many civilizations with different names.

-1100 BC. Appearance of Aram-Damascus Kingdom centered on Damascus. The new state expanded, built the old city and its walls, constructed canals and tunnels for water which still form the basis of the water system of the city today!

-671 BC. The Neo-Assyrian empire reaches its apex (ruling all of the Fertile Crescent, Anatolia, Egypt and more). Aramaic went the official language of the empire.

-Period after the nativity, Christianity entered Damascus early, Aramaic became the language of Christianity & the Holy Bible till now, "Damascus" is mentioned in the Holy Bible more than 35 times!

-634 AD. Putting an end to Byzantine-Persian wars in Damascus, Muslim armies laid siege to the Byzantine garrison of the city, ending with a peaceful surrender.

-661 AD. Damascus became the capital of Muslim Caliphate; Umayyad Caliphate; which was the largest empire to date in the world! The empire extended from Sindh (Pakistan) to Al-Andalus (Iberian Peninsula).

-715 AD. The Umayyad Mosque was completed; one of the largest and oldest mosques in the world, in which, Prophet Yaḥyā (Saint John the Bapist) was buried. The mausoleum of Al-Malik An-Nasir Salaḥ Ad-Din Al-Ayyubi (Saladin) adjoined the walls of the mosque. The mosque is still active today! It has a globally-unique collective Adhan on its three minarets!

-1148 AD. Damascus made the siege of the Second Crusade a complete failure. However, the Crusader states lasted from 1096 to 1291 near the borders of Damascus, but they couldn't enter the city or pass it.

-1903 AD. Damascus medical school was founded as a nucleus for University of Damascus; the first public university in Arab countries. University of Damascus -in addition to other public syrian universities- are the only universities in the world that teaches everything in Arabic! The Arabic Language Institute at the University of Damascus is recognized as the best center to study Arabic for non-native speakers in the world!

-2019. Damascus has been named by Economist Intelligence Unit as the world's least livable city!!
