Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chatnoir would've been so much better if the writers gave both Ladybug AND Chatnoir powers essential to defeat an akuma. Imagine,

Ladybug- Creation- The Miraculous Ladybug power which recreates all that shouldn't have, but was, destroyed.

Chat noir- Destruction- The power to purify akumas which allows the weilder to destroy what shouldn't have, but was, created.

Ying and yang, good luck and bad luck, creation and destruction, perfect balance.

They both would've used their powers for good because, as Tikki and Master Fu and all those wise, ancient beings point out, destruction is just as important as creation, dark is just as important as light, bad luck is just as important as good luck (which would've been such a cool theme to dig into but gods forbid the writers ever use this show's full potential).

Advice, please?🥺

So I'm writing a YA fiction novel and I use a lot of italics and long inner monologues to write panic and fear. My friend (who's reviewing the chaps) says she's never actually seen things like that in novels before and she's worried it might lower the book's popularity if it's different from the writing styles of other popular novels. And she's not sure if that's professional or not too. So,

percy is literally dating the equivalent of a karen. No wonder hes so miserable. Honestly this is a perfect way for the gods to control him. Make Aphrodite force his true love to be the most abusive, but loyal person to the gods. Easy way to have completely control of one of the few demigods you can't control.

My hot take on 'Cat Blanc' is that it basically does the same thing as the New York Special and Paris Special: it takes a concept the fandom has seen coming since the show's inception and applies the most boring take imaginable to it. The writers of this show love to grab the elephant in the room (cool story concept) and then take it out back to shoot it.

Cat Blanc happens in an alternative timeline where only Marinette finds out about it and forgets about it outside of one (1) nightmare sequence more focused on other stuff. New York Special sweeps Adrien's trauma of killing someone under the rug and instead focuses on Marinette being upset about some unrelated property damage and her traumatized partner quitting. Paris Special Akumanette isn't even an actual Akuma, it's Marinette being given godlike powers of super awareness over the multiverse so that the writers can avoid any character growth opportunities by putting in a lame one-hit victory fight scene over and over again.

Every single fandom take on Cat Blanc is better with better consequences for the story, every single time a fan makes Adrien Cataclysm someone it's better than "but Marinette is more upsette" and every single fanmade Akumanette is better than Goddess of the Multiverse.

This show's writers have an impeccable knack for taking something that should be the coolest thing ever and making it flop. Even their precious Bug Noire, which they were aiming to be the coolest thing in the show so far, loses her debut fight. This show's writers don't know what "cool" means and 'Cat Blanc' was our first real warning sign of this. They originally wanted that concept to get a double episode for it, and yet it had no effect on anything.

How to Fill an 'About You' Sheet

"Whan doh yoh 'ope oo anyeve iy nyow funyure?" Leo asked Jason as he chewed fiercely on his pencil.

"My what?" He asked, not bothering to look up from his book on Roman civilisation. Really, who spends their free time reading history books?

Leo took his pencil out of his mouth and leant back against the tree next to him. "In the 'About you' Sheet. They ask that. What did you put?"

He nodded at the maths textbook lying on his other side. "It's in there, you can just check."

Leo didn't hesitate as he climbed over Jason and grabbed it, making the blonde oof a whole lot and wave his arms wildly in alarm. Leo pulled the sheet out from between the pages, abdomen still lying across Jason's legs.

"I hope to go to university with a degree in history and- dude you missed something."

"Leo get off- wait, I did?" He paused fidgeting his legs long enough to peek at it.

"Uh, yeah. Where's the part about you marrying Piper and having three tiny little kids?"

Jason rolled his eyes, but nah uh he should get his brain checked if he thought Leo wouldn't notice that sneaky blush creeping up his cheeks! Hah he was such a simp-

"Who's having three tiny little kids?" Piper asked, appearing out of nowhere as usual- had she been hiding in the tree?

Jason shoved Leo off and picked his book up again, "Leo is." He lied shamelessly.

"Wha-"

"Huh, you sure you can handle three, kiddo?"

"I never said-"

Piper ignored his excuses and picked up his sheet. "You're still not done with this? We have like ten minutes before we gotta hand this in and you haven't filled in the last one and- your parents slash legal guardian's names Leo! You're going to end up forgetting to fill that one in!"

"Ok, ok," he rushed, pulling the sheet away from her, "Just help me with this one first. I'll fill that in later, promise."

No he wouldn't. There was nothing to fill it with. But it was fine, he was pretty sure that the teacher new about his, uh, situation. And he was sure that were plenty other orphans in the Wilderness School. Heck, even Jason- ...Huh....

"Focus," Piper chided, bringing Leo back to the present. "Bell's going to ring any second."

Adrien has this weird unexplainable thing going on where he has no memories of his time as Chat Noir. An akuma alert goes off, or patrol time comes around, and he blacks out for a few hours. He just chalks it up to akuma anxiety (haha nothing to worry about this is totally normal and perfectly okay) and goes on with his day.

But recently, he’s been hearing about these two new heroes in Paris helping with the new local terrorist. He watches videos of them, follows fan-pages to get more news about them, and collects as much information as he can.

Of course, he zeroes in on Chat Noir specifically. He’s never actually seen the guy in person, somehow just missing him and only capable of running into Ladybug, but… something about the guy draws him in. He assumes it’s a crush (and might just develop one in the process lmao). So now comes Adrien Agreste, rich and famous model extraordinaire, completely and publicly obsessed with local hero Chat Noir.

if the agrestes weren't rich i think that gabriel would be the normal one. like gabe's problem is that he stopped running into natural limits due to absurd wealth and his obsessive nature led him to develop some kind of god complex where he won't accept that anything is out of his control. I think that if gabe was broke again and just simply couldn't afford to go on an international goose chase for ancient magic artifacts of untold power, if he had to work a 9-5 to live and couldn't just disappear into his basement lair to commit domestic terrorism and say evil monologues to himself, then he would be way more normal. he'd just be some guy. he might even let himself have a mowhawk again. but I think that emilie would be way LESS normal if they weren't rich. like emilie needs so many people to be obsessed with her so much all the time in order for her to function. and gabe would still have his toxic codependent obsession with her, sure, but that wouldn't be nearly enough. emilie has to be at the center of the world's spotlight at all times because she doesn't know how to exist if she's not performing. anyway all this to say I am so certain that if the agrestes were not disgustingly wealthy, emilie agreste would one million percent be running a massive family vlogger youtube channel
