December 29th. 6 years. As I wheel myself through my home, frustrated that I feel as if I'm wasting my day waiting to heal from my 12th surgery, I am reminded how profound the last two sentences are in this video. Many days as I purposely stop to feel the warmth of the sun on my face, while sitting in the middle of a pasture eating my lunch or astride my horse checking cows, I call to God. I am living, finally living from a place so deep within my soul that I can see everything you have given to me. I will not waste these lessons.

I did not know if I would ever be able to deer hunt again with my damaged ankles, but I have figured it out and this past season, I was diligent about every morning and evening going out to hunt.  

My problem was that the deer were just as diligent about not showing up!

I can load the hay on the trailer now as long as it is in short spurts, but when I initially started to help out during my recovery, just pushing in the brake/clutch as I loaded 9 hay bales was too much.

This is a video that I show after my motivational presentations.  I’ve changed some of the images as I’ve progressed, but it still send the same message.  

Following a 4 year recovery after surviving being hit by a drunk driver, I now speak motivation ally.  This video is a start to finish of my recovery and of activities I was never thought to be able to accomplish again.
