I think an important part of deciding where to permanently settle down is looking at what passes for high and low class in an area. If things are going well and your status improves would you feel comfortable in a community dinner? If you go through hard times, and we all do at some point, are you OK with what's considered "comfortably poor"?
Every Wednesday, we develop a different area of our fictional worlds together. Inspirational prompts are posted every Wednesday night - and if you’re lucky, you might even learn a little more about the lore from one of my own worlds!
Today’s Prompt: What types of dance exist in your world?
Some cultures dance all the time - in the kitchen with their family, around a campfire with their community, etc. Others only do so at formal events. How frequently do the people of these cultures partake in dancing and what purpose does it serve for them?
Are there any unique uses or manifestations of dancing in your world? For example, a fantasy world might have people who utilize dancing to channel magical energy. Others might have ceremonial dances to honor gods.
Want to participate in Worldbuilding Wednesday? Reblog this post with your response to the above prompt so I can feature it on my blog and engage more with your about your character!

This is 4 days worth of 7 egg layers on grass in the chicken tractor. The impact that 19 (we lost one) meat birds make will be much more noticeable and I’ll be posting about that throughout next week. Very curious to see how this affects the yard come next spring

Got a few friends on here who I talked to about the issues coming and the difficulty we would see with supply lines back in Jan of 2020 and even earlier with a handful.
I think that if you have not begun to see to some serious supplies then you had better start today. By way of illustration I would invite you to try to find a chest freezer over about seven cubic feet at the moment. Not what the website says is in stock but what is actually physically on hand. I did that dance a few days ago. Was a little embarrassed that I left it so late.
Yeah yeah toilet paper meme etc etc but think about it like this, if you bulk up on a lot of canned goods, extra long self life foods and the like and I am wrong, well you still have to eat and you have not wasted any money. If I am right however... And that is my thing, I have been right so far. You do not wish for your family to suffer or go without because you failed to act.
I would welcome any of my friends who are preppers, rural characters, rednecks or self sufficiency wannabe types to contribute ideas on bunkering up, producing good and storing supplies in the event of supply chain issues as bad or worse than we saw last year as well as potential civil unrest.
This is something that I, an atheist mind you, will pray does not come to pass. That being said, we all know the old truism about failure to prepare is prepping to fail.
Happy Nature Photography Day (6/15) queen! Please show us some photos from your most recent experience with nature!
Ahhh. I'll go for some non-garden pics of other areas around the property just to spice it up.
The first pic is some fallen trees and moss on the path to my little worship grove. The second is an old Cedar beside my house. It was hit by lightning when I was a little girl, hence the gnarly branches in some areas. It's still alive and growing strong though.
This is a little bee who was trying to zoom out of my frame. He's playing in the clover between the garden and orchard.
Here's a shot of the chickens hanging out by a pine thicket near their current run and a pretty daylily from the path blooming near the ditch.
I have been so excited about getting all of my garden planted as well as my small field of oats and sunflowers that I almost forgot to post pictures and document the progress of not only my plants but my walipini greenhouse.
My mulberry tree is slowly growing
A sea of sunflowers!
Yellow beans, one of my favourites!!
One of my cayenne peppers. I am so excited about these!
There has been so…
