For me it was the third option. I thought it was very possible but I wasn’t as sure of it as a lot of people were. And it turns out we were all clowning lol. But it makes sense she wouldn’t announce rep this soon after 1989.
My favorite is definitely Guy On A Horse, which was exactly what I predicted! That song is just so perfect, I’ve had it on repeat since it came out. But I love all of the deluxe tracks, they’re so unbelievably good!!!
People who don’t believe in mental illness are right up there with flat-earthers. There’s literally zero logic behind it. The brain is an organ, why wouldn’t it be capable of being sick???? My mom fully believes that ADHD is fake and is just used as an excuse for bad behavior and laziness and that’s so sad and frustrating to me. Like how can you deny a whole illness with years of research behind it?
My mom tells me all the time that I could control my mental illnesses if I wanted to but I want to be like this which is beyond stupid. Like if I could get rid of this, believe me, I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT.
I associate Midnights with winter. I just get cozy winter vibes from this album. Listening to it makes me feel like it's the middle of a clear winter night, and I'm snuggled up listening to chill music. And the blue and white on the album cover is very wintery. And many of the song titles give off winter vibes, the most obvious one being Snow On The Beach. But also Maroon and Lavender Haze. Maroon because it reminds me of Christmas colors, and Lavender Haze because I think lavender pairs very well with white to make a winter scene.
I associate evermore with autumn. I've heard people say they associate evermore with winter, but for me it has always been an autumn album. Specifically late fall, when it is getting colder and closer to winter. The plaid outfit Taylor is wearing on the album cover is very fall. And the album sort of has witchy vibes (especially willow, but also the rest of the songs), which is associated with fall because of Halloween. I don't know, I just always got a more late autumn vibe than winter vibe from evermore.
This may be surprising, but I associate folklore with summer. I know a lot of people associate this album with either autumn or winter, but it has always seemed more like a sad summer album to me. Which is very relatable to me, because I tend to be the most depressed during summer (I've been listening to a lot of folklore recently, since it's currently summer where I live haha). The white dress that Taylor wears during the cardigan music video definitely looks like a summer outfit to me. And I've always imagined the events in the cardigan-august-betty trilogy taking place during the summer. Even though cardigan's title sounds autumn themed, the song still sounds summery to me, just like august and betty. And seven takes me back to my childhood summers, when I had no responsibilities and I could just roam free.
