Akiren, Ryuji, Yusuke, Goro with S/O who wants a kiss

Note: This was mainly done out of boredom and need for fluff Ahwwksos I did this in my phone so if it looks weird, I apologize! I will fix it once I get to my computer.

Akiren

"I want a kiss."

The both of you were hanging out at Leblanc. Well, more like you. He was busy washing the dishes while watching over the store. Although, at the moment it was empty, save for the two of you.

When he heard your request, he smiles. He proceeds to dry his hands, and go to your side of the counter.

"Where, treasure?"

You thought of it for a moment, and pointed at your lips, "Here?"

He smiles even wider this time. He closes his eyes and gave you a quick peck. Before he could pull away, you wrap your arms around his neck in an attempt to ask for more, but the sound of the door opening made you retrieve your hands. He cleared his throat, "Welcome!"

Maybe when he wasn't so busy, you could continue...

He looks at you apologetically and mouths, "Later."

Ryuji

"I want a kiss."

The sound of the various videogame sound effects, children cheering and laughing, and the grunts of your boyfriend on this certain fighting game he has been playing for almost thirty minutes fills your senses. You love watching him play, but man do you also want some affection.

"Wait a minute babe."

You pout, though he cannot see it. The match ended after almost a minute though, and then he quickly turned to you.

"What did'cha want, babe?"

"Kiss please."

"Oh!" And for a second he felt sheepish, but seeing that you were in a slightly secluded part of the arcade, he decided to be a little more bold. He gave you a quick kiss on your cheek, and pulled you closer to him to give another kiss on your forehead.

"Do you want to get something to eat?"

Yusuke

"I want a kiss."

The both of you were at Inokashira Park, as Yusuke wanted to find inspiration for his next artwork. It was a nice slightly cloudy day, so it wasn't too hot out. Having an impromptu picnic with your boyfriend outside was definitely a good change of pace.

He has just started cleaning up his landscape sketches, but looked up upon hearing your request.

"Certainly, my darling."

He places his sketchpad beside him, and reached out to give you a quick kiss on your lips. He reached out for your hand and placed a kiss on your knuckles. You smiled at his actions, and then suddenly he stops for a brief second.

"Yusuke, are you o-"

"Hold that pose!"

Goro

"I want a kiss."

The both of you were at his apartment. He was catching up with the Featherman episodes he missed because of work, and you were doing homework. Upon hearing your request, Goro smirked.

"Why?"

Your eyebrows furrowed, "What do you mean 'why'? What if I'm just craving attention from my boyfriend?"

"Hmm..." Goro put his hand under his chin, as if he is considering your very serious request.

You rolled your eyes at his antics. You scooted over to his side until there was no more space between the two of you, "Kiss please!"

He complied and gave you a quick kiss on your nose. You smiled and was about to back away when he held on to your arm.

"What about me? Where's my kiss?"

If you ask, he will say it again,  and again, and again.

He loves you.

It makes you stop whatever you're doing, as you finally look up to his eyes.

Akira has always been blunt with his words. Though with his ability to change his persona, and his entire demeanor, sometimes it's difficult to see how much his words actually worth on first glance.

But with the amount of time he says it to you, with the repeated intensity, and with that glint of desperation and honesty in his gray orbs, you can't help but let yourself believe the three simple words that came out of his mouth.

If he manages to catch you off guard, he won't hesitate to proceed with his action. To prove it to you with more than just words past his lips.

He would approach you, intimately close. Lips barely ghosting your own, hands still tucked in his pockets, waiting for you to let him in.

If you reciprocate him with similar action, say, you close the gap between the two of you on your own accord, his hands would start wandering, and words just are not enough anymore to convey his feelings.

But if you stutter, lose your composure and express to him about how you need to proceed with his bluntness, he'll understand.

He is pretty bold. He knows he catches people off guard.

Still. While waiting, Akira will not hesitate to repeat those three words to you every now and then.

He would repeat it everyday if he could.

Don't keep him waiting though. There's nothing more that Akira wants but confirmation from you.

"I love you."

Yusuke Kitagawa, He repeats it with his kiss

Yusuke is a poet. He experiences life, and turns them into poetry. Whether it be through his words or his art.

But sometimes, he's willing to admit that no form of art but his own action can transpire the true desire in his heart.

And in this case, his affection for you.

Paintings, poetry, and many works of art have been a representation of his desire for your affection. A reflection of what he feels when he's by your side.

You're his muse. One that has your fingers wrapped tightly around his heart.

When he confessed, he's sure his feelings would transpire.

But you just stared at him, confused grin yet flustered face and furrowed brows, and dared to ask him to repeat himself.

Well if words are not enough for you he doesn't mind showing it with his action.

Yusuke is quick, and bold.

A hand behind your head, the other easily sneaked around your waist keeping you there close to him.

You're still given space to escape, of course. But when he senses not an inch of hesitation from you, he's gonna go all out.

"Do you hear the cries of love in which my heart longs for? It calls only for you, dear."

Goro Akechi, He repeats it with his eyes

Akechi, frankly, is good and bold with both his words and his actions.

He's loyal to you even after the reveal of his true self, he doesn't hesitate to lower his voice and make himself gentle around you just so you're not hurt by his thorns.

He's as protective as he is vocal about it.

Sometimes, he even confessed to you jokingly. Though with your flustered state that is real and honest, in comparison to his 'fake' persona, sometimes he's glad that you never see the true, deep longing he felt about you.

With how often he acts gentlemanly around you, and how often he treats you like a loyal person, it's difficult to find out whether the words "I love you" actually weigh something or not for someone like him.

That's why, when he whispered it to you quietly during a confession, you asked him to repeat himself with a grin on your face, hoping he would just brush his own words off like any other time.

But when you look at him, right in his eyes, you know that this one is different. 

The way he keeps holding your gaze. His hands slowly hold yours, tighter by the second.

Akechi can't be trusted with his words. Or his actions. So that's why he hoped, he begged, that you would see his genuine love through his eyes.

"Can you see.. The transparency, and the truth behind my words now?"

First Kisses | Persona 5 Boys

Featuring: Ren Amamiya, Ryuji, Yusuke, Akechi, and Maruki x reader separate

Notes: You all seemed to like Take your Heart, so I wrote another hc with the boys this time of first kisses.  Not proofread!!  

Joker/Ren Amamiya

The thought of a super sweet and intimate kiss behind the school after class or when you meet up at the phantom den before everyone else does and Joker kisses you sounds memorable and sweet

No doubt he will be the one to kiss you first…with your permission of course!

He’ll take your chin in between his slender fingers and press his lips to yours, then coercing your lips apart with his tongue, he’ll nibble your lower lip teasingly

Might chuckle low under his breath when you gasp for breath lightly

MIght even ask you how the kiss was to gauge how good he made you feel 

When you start squirming in your seat, he might hold your arm before embracing you, pulling in for another kiss as he strokes and swirls the inside of your mouth with his tongue 

Even when you’ve taken each other’s first kiss, don’t expect him to stop there.  He’ll want you, your attention, everything about you.  That’s how intrigued and smitten he is with you

When he sees your blushing, he’ll caress your hair and give your forehead and cheek a chaste kiss <3

Yusuke

He’ll want your first kiss you share with each other to be somewhere beautiful and he will go out of his way to make your first kiss special.

It might be after your first date together after he’s shown you his favorite place to sketch, a quiet spot above the city or garden where there's plenty of wildlife

He might even be sketching you before he makes the move.  He’ll have a sketchpad in his lap.  You love the look of concentration he has while sketching but once he glances up to look at you, his model he’ll be too tempted he won’t be able to stay away

He’ll notice either a stray hair or petal on your cheek.  He’s brushes it away with a thumb, caressing your skin so carefully like you’re a painting at a museum he wants to touch but can’t (does anyway :))  

His thumb slides down your neck, his eyes following where her hand goes.  When he looks at your lips he swallows

He asks if he can kiss you and when you agree, his movements are slow so as not to scare you.  He brushes your hair away from your cheek before holding the back of your head as you lean close to each other. His lips captures your languidly.  He sighs sweetly as he kisses you

He swallows again and hopes the kiss was to your liking  

Ryuji

MIght kiss you during the heat of a moment - after you both get good scores on your tests, after a track meet and your school’s team wins, or any sort of good news that happened to you

He’ll throw his arms up and talk about how excited his is for you and tell you that you deserved a good score on your test after studying so hard, or whatever good thing that happened to you :D 

Will take you in his arms and swing you around before setting you down then holding your face with both hands and kissing you.  The kiss is hot and passionate, he sweeps his tongue in your mouth left then right, licking your lips then sucking on them

WHen he pulls away, seeing your slightly brushed lips and your messy hair, he’ll realize what he’s done

Will definitely feel shy after the fact and sincerely apologize if you didn’t expect it

When you you tell him that you liked it, he’ll want to know if he can kiss you again, this time being more gentle with the kiss, but loves to bite and make you whine and squirm

Akechi

I think he’ll be meticulous about where and how he will kiss you.

He wants to make it memorable for you, so all of his actions you’ll know he’s building up to that moment when you two kiss

Might also be after a date because he’ll want to make the whole day about you and having fun with you

Might not even have to be a date.  You told him about how you completed a very important school/work project, so Akechi suggested that he reward you by taking you out to your favorite places and restaurant. 

You’re ending the night listening to some wonderful jazz music as you spent many hours just talking about all the things you’re interested in, all the things you both want to achieve during your lifetimes

During the closing act of the band, Akechi will take the opportunity to tell you how much he’s seen your growth as a person and someone he cares about.  He’ll tell you how impressed and proud he is to know you and how much he admires your ability to help a friend in need, how you can put attention and focus on projects or people you care about, and how everything you put your mind to you’ve always achieved

However he will acknowledge that humans have a lot to learn and he is no exception and asks if you would like to learn everything about the world together with him

You take hold of his face and pressing your lips against his, he seals your lips with his

Maruki

Man is super shy even though he was in a really intimate relationship with someone he cared about before

Your efforts to get to know him and his past, you’ve found a place in his heart

And it’s obvious he starts to have feelings for you when he smiles each time you visit him after school and when he sees you listening so intently to him while he talks about his research

And he will always make it a habit to hear about your day and your troubles first before you listen to his. When you visit, he’ll have a stash of all your favorite snacks and drinks 

Your first kiss with Maruki might be one such time when he’s made some progress on his research and you praise him about how much of a good job he’s doing and you tell him his research has serious and hopefully beneficial effects in the future

He’ll be really humble about it, but will feel so loved and supported by someone who believe understands him.

He’ll gently take your hand in his, caressing your knuckles with his thumbs. He’s not without praises and will sing his heart out about how all you’ve been is patient and supportive of him and his ideas, even when there’s times he knows not all his ideas are good.

He’ll also compliment the bentos you’ve made for him and all the times when you’ve shown how much you care about him.

Will almost sound like a confession as he lists all the ways he appreciates you 

He might even bring up his previous relationship since it was so important to him, he wants you to know that he’s serious about his feelings towards you

Will interlace your fingers as he presses his lips against yours with just enough force and gentleness that has your mind dizzy with pleasure

Since he hasn’t kissed in along time, his kiss will be slightly awkward, and he’ll apologize for it briefly before he asks if he can kiss you again

but slowly he’ll remember how to kiss again and you’ll be moaning at the heat of his kiss

You end the kiss with your foreheads kissing while he’s blushing - so cute

Hello is it okay if I could please have headcanons for yusuke and akechi and joker and futaba from persona 5 with a animator s/o like the reader does anime or cartoon animation and probably still watches cartoons and old animated movies as someone who wants to study animation I just wanna share my passion with these guys

Akechi

He's tried watching you animate before and he had to walk away after he watched you draw the same shape for what felt like a hundred times. He knows animation takes a lot of time and patience but he doesn't have either of those to watch.

Akechi will pull you away from the TV or whatever you're doing with your animation to spend time with him. And to make sure you've eaten or taken care of yourself. He's definitely a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to that.

Doesn't really watch cartoons with you, but he does listen as you talk about some specific effect or frame of animation. Akechi doesn't completely understand what you're talking about but you look happy so it's good enough for him.

Futaba

Oh she thinks it's really cool that you do animation. Might ask if you could show her a bit of the software you use. She's not artistic, but she loves technology and learning new things that you can do with it.

She's more than happy to watch whatever anime or cartoon with you. Probably asks you a bunch of questions about the animation too. She knows you pause and rewind quite a bit to watch the details of something multiple times so she tries her best to see whatever you saw.

Futaba would jokingly suggest doing stop motion animation with Phantom Thief dolls or something. If you decide to go with it then she'll gladly come up with a script and get to work while you get your own stuff set up.

Joker

There's many times when he'll go to spend time with you only for you to be involved in your animation. He doesn't mind it since you've visited him when he was making lockpicks or tending to Le Blanc. He doesn't know everything about animation, but he enjoys listening to you talk about it.

He likes whenever you go on tangents or talk to him a mile a minute about some new technique you learned or some new feature you figured out to help you animate more smoothly.

He is always happy to sit with you and watch some anime or something and see how you react to the animation in it. He doesn't quite know why he feels more kind after watching Studio Ghibli with you, but he's not going to object with how you seem to be very enraptured with the animation.

Yusuke

The idea of making a picture or image move is fascinating to him. He's a fan of most art mediums so if you'd like to practice animation by having him sketch a couple things out then he'd be glad too.

Yusuke is the most fascinated with 3D animation. Watching you rotating the character or object and changing details is something he enjoys doing. Although he does throw in his own input of what needs more shadows or changing the texture of something.

He'd try his hand at traditional animation if you explain it to him. Yes, it's very time consuming, but it's a new art medium and he is determined to make an attempt. The issue is he's a perfectionist so you probably won't speak to him for a few weeks while he's working on this. At least he's supportive of your career?

Author's note: hiii, this is my first fic and I'm sorry if it's out of character, this is mostly a warm up, I hope you like it! No dialogue, just actions.

I don't really want any constructive criticism at the moment please, I'm still settling in.

Oh goodness this boy is absolutely adorable

He's trying so hard to keep it all together, be a man and all that

He's trembling as the tears threaten to spill

Like an excited puppy he's smiling and hopping from foot to foot

As you finally arrive at the altar and stand beside your groom, he can't resist the urge to hold you in some capacity

He's holding your hands tightly

When the time comes to kiss, he pulls you in and wraps his arms around you in a tight hug, kissing you with messy enthusiasm

His dancing is a bit clumsy, he's still shaking from the excitement of everything, but you can bet his arms hardly ever leave your waist

Yusuke:

He is always so composed

Standing up straight with a loving gaze and an appreciative smile as he watches you

In this moment, it's YOU that is the finest piece of artwork in his eyes

Patiently waiting for when you make your way closer

Once you stand beside him, he whispers words that sound so much like the most beautiful poem you've ever heard

And it's all about you

His kiss is more soft, and gentle, like a flower petal brushing against your lip

At the dancing section of the event his grip is loose yet secure, so that you may dance with passion and fluidity as he watches your majesty with wonder

Akechi

Akechi has been living a lie and acting for years now, so he knows how to keep his cool and play the role

That's not to say he's faking anything about his love for YOU, God's no, he loves you to bits

It's just he has an image he wants to keep up, so he stands with a quiet stare and elegant smile

Watching you walk up the aisle, most people wouldn't think anything amiss, but anyone with a trained eye could see how his fingers anxiously tugged at the bottom of his clothes

You arrive at his side and turn to what would seem to be your very own prince

Taking your hand into his, he kisses the back of it, looking you in your eyes with a knowing smirk which you can't help but return, he kisses with a certain amount of lingering firmness.

The dance was as one would expect, like a ballroom waltz right out of a fairytale, hands gripping at you possessively, but not too tight to cause discomfort.

Later, when in the comfort of your shared home, he was alone and could let the stray, happy tear slip, but only for a moment, not wanting to spare a generous amount of time dwelling on vulnerability... Maybe one day... Maybe even in front of you...

you had fallen asleep on top of him while the two had been cuddling and watching one of those artsy movies he's so interested in. yusuke had only noticed that you had drifted off to sleep after the movie was already over and now that you were already asleep, he couldn't slip away anymore or he'd risk waking you up. 

"so pretty… if i could just…"

his eyes wandered towards his desk, where a notebook and some pens lied. yusuke would've loved to take a quick sketch of you in this position, but he knew he couldn't move and even if he could, he wouldn't be able to return to his original position and the perspective would be different.

JOKER // REN AMAMIYA

maybe this is biased, but i feel out of everyone on this list hes the most prepared.

like, hes not overbearing but he knows just enough to spare you both any awkward conversations.

he doesnt have any feminine products in his bathroom since its technically shared with leblanc customers and he doesnt want to embarrass you or anyone else, but you know theres always a few of whatever you need in his school bag or his dresser!

hes a very calm person, which can be very relieving, especially when you accidentally bleed on something.

you both were hanging out one day after school, and when you got up off of his bed to go make some food, you noticed a red spot on the sheets.

you were internally freaking out, trying to figure out what to do knowing how some guys tend to find it gross, while ren literally just comments "dont worry about it, i needed motivation to do laundry anyways." and asks if you need anything.

you feel like youve just been given whiplash, no way thats it, hes so cool with it?

he even gives you a pair of his boxers and sweatpants since you bled through your clothes, and when you come out of the bathroom hes got a steaming hot cup of coffee and some chocolates on the counter all ready for you. <3

SKULL // RYUJI SAKAMOTO

confused, embarrassed, and a little bit (a lot) dramatic. he tries to act like its not a big deal, but in reality he doesnt really know anything about periods, and hes convinced youre secretly in a lot of pain. (which i mean, you could be depending on cramps… but you get what i mean.)

hes horribly uneducated on this topic, and definitely the worst person to be stuck with when you start. 

hes calling ann asking her to explain what to do with the reddest face youve ever seen. 🧍

ryuji definitely thought it was a little gross at first too, but once he understood it was just a normal thing your body did he felt more okay about it.

hes trying super hard to be a good boyfriend, but hes stuttering over his questions. barely able to ask you if he needs to get you anything.

i swear his eyes almost popped out of his head when you said all you wanted was for him to shut up and cuddle with you. 💀💀

he tries to be there for you as much as possible, but if you tend to get more angry, just note that hell try to stay away a bit. 

he has issues keeping his temper under control, even when it comes to you, and he doesnt want to start any unnecessary arguments.

at the end of the day, communication is key when it comes to you guys relationship, he just wants whats best for both of you!

FOX // YUSUKE KITAGAWA

yusuke has probably never felt the touch of another human being before you so hes very… confused to say the least.

what do you mean youre bleeding? and its normal? this happens monthly? his mind is blown.

i dont see him being weird in the way he wants to use your period as inspiration for a painting, but weird in the way that hell track it.

maybe this just a personal thing who finds it weird when a guy wants to track when your on your cycle, but it seems right up yusukes alley 😭.

hes a little strange, and he just wants to help! but he also doesnt really know what hes doing, so his presence can be a bit overwhelming.

gets pouty when you end up snapping at him, but once you explain why hes a lot more aware of how much hes bothering you.

hes also willing to get you whatever you need, as long as youre buying.

one time you had asked him to get you pads/tampons, and he called you 30 minutes later saying that he didnt have any money…

however, unlike someone else on this list, hes not embarrassed about it. more so genuinely curious, as he loves learning about you and he thinks its important to know how your body works!

hell probably draw you something nice as well if it makes you feel better. :)

CROW // GORO AKECHI

oh boy, akechi sure is a character. and i think with him it depends.

usually though hes just a pretty average guy. hes not stupid, but he also isnt the best at understanding your emotions, or his own, for that matter.

youre in public, akechi talking to one of the tv hosts after hes finished appearing on a show, and you gently tug on his jacket to let him know you started your period, and need the restroom. 

hes conflicted, whats supposed to come first, you or his reputation? when it comes to him, he makes any simple situation way more complicated in his head.

he makes an eternal sacrifice to shoo away the people talking to him, and he quickly takes off his jacket to wrap it around your waist. you both find a bathroom nearby and he paitently waits for you outside.

when you walk out, he offers to pick up whatever you may need (including some food) and take you home.

at your front door, he kisses your cheek, but cant help but noticed the nervous expression on your face.

its only then when you mention that akechis jacket is, in fact, a light color, and is most definitely stained now with bright red blood. his face goes blank, and youre worried for a second he might be mad.

he only shrugs at that, same detective prince smile as always, and jokes that youre paying for his dry cleaning.

Before he could say anything, the palace began to rumble. And out of nowhere, a hole opened up in the ground. And what appeared was an incredibly tall elderly woman, but much more twisted. She had large, clawed hands and feet, long bunny ears sitting on her head, bright red eyes and a sharp-toothed grin.

So this was your palace's cognition of your grandma. Given how fondly you viewed her, Joker was confused.

So this is why you’ve been down. Your grandma died, and you didn’t tell him. 

Your grief became an obsession to see her again, and this distorted desire bred your Palace.

He felt terrible. You had lost the only family member you had left, and he had no idea.

But he took a breath in and put a hand on his knife. He was gonna have to fight your grandmother, and it wasn't gonna be easy.

"I'm not sure what you mean. This is her home."

Before he could ask what you meant, you pointed to something behind him. He followed your gaze and saw the painting behind him.

It was you, as a child, and your grandmother dancing together in a flower garden.

Ryuji stared at the painting, with no words to say. He finally realized the truth. Your Palace didn't spawn from feelings of malice or greed. It spawned from your feelings of grief.

You had been missing your grandmother more and more, and Ryuji felt stupid for not noticing.

But he quickly looked away when he heard a rumbling from behind him. He turned, and a creepy, demented shadow suddenly sprang up from the ground. It looked like a strange hybrid of a rabbit and an elderly woman.

Wait... Was that your grandma?

So that was your cognition of her. But why? From the way you talked about her, she sounded like such a sweet person. So why would this be her cognition?

And more than that, what did she even have to do with it?

But now was no time to ask questions. Ryuji breathed in, and brought out his mace. He turned to you, looking to see what he would do. He felt a twinge of sadness in him.

He knew what he needed to do, and that it would hurt you.

He came to Shujin after school to visit you

He painted a new masterpiece for you, hoping to lift your spirits

But you weren't there

Instead, he found your bunny plush on a desk

He picked it up with a smile

"Well, well, what are you doing here by yourself? Where's (Name) run off to?"

He then left and walked to your house

It felt very dark and disturbing

He didn't even consider the idea that it was your Palace until he started to look around

He was distracted by the paintings on the walls

Fear and anxiety took over as Yusuke took off in a run, desperately searching for your shadow

He needed to know why you had a palace

As he was running, he ran into the empty frame and fell into the flower garden

Yusuke stood up and took a look around. The garden was dark, the only light coming from the garden lights on the ground.

He jumped when he saw your shadow, staring at him with wide, expressionless eyes. You held your bunny plush in your hands, with glowing eyes of its own.

"This is her home."

As you said that, you turned your head and pointed to something behind him. Yusuke turned around and saw the painting he had fallen through.

It was a picture of you and your grandmother dancing in her flower garden, smiling and laughing. Yusuke could feel the pure joy from this picture, and it was one of the most beautiful things he had ever seen.

But this moment was cut short when he felt the ground shake. He turned back around to see a large, demented shadow spring up from the ground.

Yusuke watched in shock as the shadow beast towered over him.

Was this the Palace's cognition of your grandmother? But why?

Yusuke froze. This was somehow even more disturbing than the Palace as a whole. And the reason it even existed was because he had no idea she was dead. Your grief affected your mental state, and he was completely blind to it.

He shook his head. Now was no time to succumb to the guilt. You needed him.

Yusuke readied his katana for battle. He needed to help you accept your grandmother's death, even if it hurt you.

Goro Akechi

He had just finished another murder commission for one of Shido's confidants

After exiting the Metaverse, your bunny plush was right there in front of him

Soon after, he fell through a large, empty frame on the wall

Akechi landed in a flower garden, in the dark mansion's backyard. The only light were the garden lights in the ground. The sky had no moon, and no stars.

Was there even a sky?

He jumped when he heard footsteps in the grass. His heart stopped when he saw your shadow, the shadow of your child self.

"(Name)?" He forced out. You stared at him, your yellow eyes wide and unblinking.

"Why are you here?" He asked.

"I finally found her. She's alive."

"What?"

You pointed to something behind him, and he turned to see a large picture, in place of the empty frame he fell through.

It was a picture of you and your grandmother dancing in the flower garden, laughing and smiling while the plush rabbit sat on a rocking chair in the background.

Then, Akechi understood. Your grandmother had died, and the increasing grief for your grandmother turned into denial, and it became a distorted obsession to see her again, thus spawning a Palace.

He looked at you with sadness. He should have been with you more. He should have been there to help you. He should have known.

But his thoughts were cut off by the ground suddenly shaking, and out of nowhere, a shadow appeared.

It looked like a strange hybrid of a rabbit and an elderly woman.

Then he realized: it wasn't how you viewed your grandmother. This shadow represented your grief, and your denial.

Akechi breathed in and reluctantly took out his gun. He felt horrible for what he was about to do. He had done enough damage already.

Word Count: 1.7k Summary: Yusuke reminisces on the beginning of your relationship. Note: I'm sorry this took so long, sweetheart! I am gonna be honest with you, Yusuke is my absolute favorite so I was really happy when I got this ask! But then the perfectionist in me came out since this IS Yusuke.... I had around 3 drafts until I settled on this one... Hopefully you like it!

For the longest time, romantic love was not really a part of Yusuke’s vocabulary. There was no need for it, honestly. This does not mean he does not experience love, he absolutely does. His love for the arts, and life. He looks out to the crowd and thinks that everyone has backstory, or a page in their book that they cannot tell. He thinks that humanity, despite all their flaws and vices, are inspiring. With hope there is desire, one of the things he learned as a Phantom Thief.

Of course, not every person is ‘good’. But he can understand that with beauty comes vice. And that people are not necessarily evil, there are just those that had difficult circumstances. And then there are those who merely succumbed without trying to do any better.

Yusuke has experienced love, both for his craft and for his fellow Phantom Thieves. Whenever he looks at the Sayuri, he feels the love he has for his mother, and the love his mother had for him. When he looks out at the world, he feels empathy and understanding for their individual experiences. But whether he has experienced love for another, in the romantic sense, is something he cannot answer. 

Until now.

He looks behind his canvas, and he sees you preparing him a meal. You were currently playing your favorite music in a low volume, and slightly dancing to the beat. Your hair was in a disarray, but he did not care in the slightest. Yusuke absolutely loves and adores you. He holds his hands up, jutting out his pointer fingers and thumbs, ‘framing’ you.

You were, and still is, his favorite inspiration.

He thinks back to the first time he met you, it was a chance encounter. He was hanging by the underground walkway of the Shibuya train station, people-watching just before he got home. He was looking for inspiration, but today the gods seem to be playful and are preventing him from making the masterpiece he wishes to create.

He sighed deeply, and was about to put his sketchpad back into his bag, when he suddenly felt the weight of another person in his side and dropped his materials. He was able to balance his weight before he could fall face-first onto the earth. You, however, were not as fortunate.

"Are you alright?" he asked as he crouched down to help you up on your feet. You stood up with his help, trying to get your bearings.

"Y-yeah..." you finally answered, and Yusuke gathered his sketchpad and pencil. When he stood up again, you apologized to him.

He was about to accept your apology and tell you to be more careful next time, but when your eyes met his words got stuck in his throat.

You were breathtaking.

And he swears that if he looked into your eyes, he would get lost in it.

You seemed to take his silence the wrong way, and you started fidgeting while offering more apologies. Yusuke finally cleared his throat, "May I paint you?"

It was out of place, and Yusuke quickly explained his situation. He briefly remembers what happened with Ann, and he wished not to come off as a pervert. It seems his explanation was sufficient, and you agreed. Sadly you were busy today, so you exchanged numbers for next time.

The next time you meet each other, it was during the afternoon, on a Sunday in Inokashira Park. The sun was a little forgiving, and along with the shade of the trees it gave off a cool and peaceful vibe. The birds sang a tune, and for a moment it felt like you were in a movie as you leaned against the railings.

Yusuke, on the other hand, is stuck between getting his sketchpad from his bag or looking at you a little while longer.

When you finally turned to look at him, he was snapped out of his thoughts and decided to take out his materials.

“Um, so… how should I pose?”

Yusuke contemplated for a moment, and at that exact moment you tilted your head a bit and the sun hit your face just right. You were ethereal, as if he was looking at a painting.

“Face towards the river, but position your head to the side. Put both your hands on the railing on both sides,” Yusuke instructed, and sat on a nearby bench to get started. For a while, no words were exchanged between the two of you. The chirping of the birds, the light sway of the trees with the gust of wind, the faraway conversations, and the sound of charcoal against paper was all that could be heard. It feels oddly comforting.

You look to your side, trying to stay still as much as possible. You see Yusuke, who would glance at you every once in a while. Some stray hair has fallen over his face. You think for a second that if he weren’t the artist, he would be the one that was being drawn. He is very beautiful.

You think back on a few days ago, your first encounter. You honestly do not know why you easily agreed to being his model, perhaps because he has this air around him? Like, he is not capable of lying, or any malicious actions. It sounds a bit naive, but it feels like you could trust him, with your life even.

After holding the pose for five minutes, you start feeling restive. You did not know what to do, would he get mad if you asked for a break?

As if on cue, you hear him clearing his throat, “Let us take a break,” he says. You internally did a sigh of relief. You stretched and wiggled your fingers, then proceeded to sit beside him albeit with a little bit of space in between the both of you.

He was quiet, but not in a brooding or anti-social way. More like an observer, who is appreciating the scenery in front of him. You decided to start a conversation to get to know him more.

“So, Yusuke, was it? Which school do you attend?”

“Kosei High School,” he briefly says, then adjusted so he could slightly face you. “How about you?”

You answer, and the both of you talk for a while. He talks about how Sayuri inspired him to want to make an art piece just like it. He also talks about how he seeks to capture the sense of beauty it portrays, and how he wishes he could encapsulate how much it inspired him and in a sense, evoke the same feeling in others.

You find yourself admiring him while he speaks. His voice holds your attention, and if he were to say even the most boring things, you just might listen.

Just as you were about to say something, you felt something wet touch your cheek. And then another, and another. Yusuke looks up and grabs your wrist, “Let us take cover.”

You entered a nearby store, taking cover from the sudden rain. Yusuke felt a little disappointed at this outcome, but at least the both of you were able to find shelter right away.

“I apologize for this,” Yusuke says. You were confused. “I have been known to bring rain,” he says lightheartedly.

You smile and shake your head. “No biggie. Although this puts an early end to your drawing.”

“That’s true. May I see you again?”

You blushed. He did not mean it that way, but hearing him say that feels like you were in a teen fiction, “Sure!”

After a while, Yusuke was able to finish his drawing. He got high marks on it, and told you all about it. Even after its completion, you and Yusuke remain in touch. You would each greet each other at the start of the day and end the day with a ‘good night’ from each other. And every Sunday, you would meet up at Inokashira Park, catching up while people-watching. Almost like an unspoken tradition between the both of you.

One Sunday, you were telling Yusuke a funny story that occurred to you recently and you cannot help but feel uneasy as his eyes were trained on you. He was paying close attention, and he never looked away as you told your story. 

“Don’t look at me like that… “ You bring your hand up to your face, hoping to cover up your red-tinted cheeks.

Yusuke tilted his head a bit, “Hm? Like what?”

“I don’t know… like that,” you struggle to explain, and Yusuke’s eyes are on you again. It feels like he could see the deepest parts of you, the parts of you that you hide away, “THAT. Like how you are looking at me right now, and.. while I was telling my story… If you keep doing that, I might think I’m beautiful.”

“You are beautiful,” he answers with no hesitation.

You feel your cheeks flaring up, and you turn away to calm yourself. “Th-thank you…”

“Yusuke! Food is ready!” He was snapped out of his thoughts when he hears you calling out to him. He was back in the present time, in front of his canvas. He shakes his head, and puts back his brush on the table beside him. He stood up and stretched.

As you are preparing the table, you feel Yusuke’s weight on your back and his arms around you. “Hello darling.”

“Hi Yusuke,” you giggled.

He gives you a quick kiss on the cheeks, and another behind your ear, and another on your jawline, and finally stopping on your shoulder. “I love you,” he says with so much weight and sincerity.

“I love you too. Will you help me set the table?” 

He proceeds to grab the plates, and helps in putting the food down. When you both finish, you give Yusuke a quick kiss. He smiled, and grabbed one of your hands to place on his shoulder. He holds the other, and situated his free hand behind your back. He starts humming a tune, and leads your feet to the beat.

You chuckled, “What has gotten to you today?”

Yusuke smiled, “I simply enjoy my time with you. I am at my happiest when I am with you.” You place your head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. Yusuke felt like his heart was thrashing against his ribs.

“I feel the same way.”

Speaking of, any plushie you give him goes on the shelves too. He'll rotate them out too so he can view them all. I can see him being elated if you decided to make Jack Frost or Jack o Lantern (or any of those personas). Becomes really excited if you make him an Arsene plushie.

Yusuke

The only plushie he's ever had growing up was one his mother had gotten him. He had to throw it away when he got older in Madarame's shack, but he does miss it. So of course, he is happy to receive any and all plushies that you give him.

While making plushies isn't really close to the art he makes, he still finds it fascinating to watch you. If you let him, then he'd gladly pick out some patterns, colors, and clothes like it's build-a-bear. He has an aesthetic eye and loves to watch you create with what he picked out.

Going back to the first headcanon for Yusuke, he'd be unbelievably touched if you tried to recreate the plushie he had growing up. A/N: sorry for the squints almost year long wait anon (oops) i think these ending up skewing a bit too gender neutral for my taste, but these were written first and foremost with a male reader in mind !! personally, i dont think yusuke cares too much for gender when it comes to romance (when he cares about romance at all) so that might be why. still, i hope you like them anon !! (+ i decided to try a new format for these. the old format was fun, but a little too restrictive.)

Yusuke somehow manages to strike a balance between obvious and frustratingly vague. Sometimes he's upfront and forward about his feelings for you and other times he says things that make you question everything you thought you knew.

Yusuke remains loyal to his art; if you don't like art, consider yourself thoroughly rejected. He doesn't need you to fully understand it, but you have to at least be able to derive some meaning from it.

He really loves asking you to model for him. He refuses to ask you to nude model for him if you aren't in a relationship yet. Yusuke had no qualms about asking Ann because that was for the sake of art and art alone. You, on the other hand, are a different story. When he formally starts courting you, then, maybe, he'll ask.

Yusuke confesses the only way he knows how: art. He dedicates a painting to you, and, with somehow too much and absolutely no fanfare, asks you out. The painting is definitely a lot, but he asks it so casually while you inspect the it that you might mistake his words as commentary on the art piece.

Yusuke does have a favorite date spot—and it's not an art museum or gallery. While he does like taking you to art galleries, but he see the place as more casual than romantic, since the conversation always revolves around the art. His absolute favorite date spot is the boat rides at Inokashira Park: when there is nothing but the tranquility of the water and you.

If you're a Phantom Thief, Yusuke loves watching you fight. You constantly see him framing you with his hands. If you ever ask him what he's doing, he'll simply smile and say: "Ah, I was just thinking about what a beautiful painting this would make," completely casually.

Yusuke really only has two things on his mind at all times: art and you. He hopes to, one day, create a painting of you that can effect people just like how the Sayuri affected him; to capture your eyes, your face, your body—your beauty—just right so that the world might understand exactly how he views you.
