Kalim Al-Asim 

Luckily, I’m updating more and more so this blog doesn’t die. Okiedoki, time for Kalim headcanons! Kalim was always a character I liked and hated. Like I loved his bubbly personality but at the same time I just knew his over-positive and enthusiastic personality was going to be annoying to some. His personality is also the same when it comes to you and your relationship. That aside, his traits would be over-protective, clingy, possessive, and manipulative. 

To keep it really simple, all these traits revolve around one thing and one thing only, his bubbly personality. He’s easy to befriend as he’s actively there to educate you on his culture and their customs, always there to lend a helping hand and just overall keep the party going. Those puppy dog eyes that you just can’t say no to them. To say the least, he’s very clingy. His S/O is someone who he can get along with, which is almost everyone. Someone he can get behind and support their ideals and morals. Someone ‘good’, it’s a very bland description but it’s one that makes sense. He’s clingy because he loves to be around you! If he sees you around the hallway, expect him to forget everything just to run up and greet you. Sometimes even ditching his previous task just to help you with yours or just spend time. When having lunch, expect to see Kalim offering you a spot at his table or inviting himself to yours. If you happen to fail a subject that Kalim excels in, he’ll happily offer to tutor you! Same with if you both fail a subject, it’s okay because Jamil can tutor both of you! I often describe overly clingy people like gum stuck at the bottom of your shoe but it’s different with Kalim because you want to get rid of the gum. With Kalim, you just can’t bring yourself to turn him down. Bringing us to my next point! 

Manipulative. By no means do I want to infantilize Kalim because he’s 17. He knows what he’s doing. Using his bubbly personality, how could you ever turn him down? He’s a great housewarden! Kind, reliable, jump head-on in front of danger to protect you, etc. You get the picture, which is why Kalim would use his reputation to get you to be with him. It starts off small, inviting you out to dinner, a study session, etc. His puppy dog eyes and his please make it so hard to turn him down you feel like you HAVE to say yes. At first, it’s small and something you can easily get out of when needed. “Sorry, I have a club!” or “Sorry, I promised Grim I would help him study with the gang.” At first yeah, but at some point, Kalim started to fight back. “It’s okay, [Reader]. Maybe next time you won’t be so busy!” and “You’re always busy, I’m sorry to bother you.” It doesn’t sound too harmful, right? It’s not, but he says it in front of people. Rumors spread and murmurs get to you, “Rejecting Kalim again?” and “Poor Kalim, he must have spent all day planning this…”. It’s not just your attention he craves, he craves your attention and praise. He’ll buy you expensive jewelry and trinkets. At first, you accept because a small gift for helping him study isn’t too spontaneous. Then the gifts keep coming and their value keeps multiplying. Rejecting them doesn’t work because then Kalim gets sad. “Oh, you wanted something better? Why didn’t you say so! I’ll find something double, no triple its value! Of course, you’d never want something so basic!” He says it in such a cheerful tone that to everyone it’s just playful Kalim but that doesn’t stop the stares and glares you get from the other dorm members. They call you an ungrateful bitch and how you’re using Kalim. They may even intervene and tell Kalim that you’re just using him, but he’ll defend you to the end. 

“Can you believe it, [Reader]? Someone said you were using me for my gifts but that’s not true!” Quite frankly, in this case, you’d be painted as the villain. He’s very overprotective and possessive of you. After all, you’re his lovely S/O! He loves to spoil you and spend time with you, even if you want to or not. He of course loves you and wants you to have friends so I don’t think he’d isolate you, but he does want them to know you belong to him. What better way than marriage?! Don’t be surprised when Kalim asks for your hand in marriage, of course, it’ll wait till after graduation but regardless! He may enlist the help of Jamil, who has no other choice but to help him. Despite being against it, he goes with it. Thinking you could confide in him, he convinces you to go along. You have no magic and no understanding of how this world works. What if you can’t find a way back home? If that's the case, why not stay with Kalim? Not only do you get his name but untold riches! Way better than your life back home, no? Not to mention, you’re powerless here. Kalim and his family name can grant you protection. I doubt Crowley would let you live here at the dorms past your life here at NRC. Being with Kalim is like a dream come true! You’d be wise to accept. Jamil always did look at things on the more logical side, a solution that benefits both parties. Kalim gets you and you get his protection. You can expect him to stand up for you when things get rough. If anyone chooses to pick on you, he’s right there to defend you. 

On a scale, he’s a 5/10. I don’t think he’d harm you physically or do anything against you, but he’s such a manipulator. His words are soft and lovely. You melt like butter when he tells you how much he loves you, how much you mean to him. It’s true, under his love you’ll be protected and his love is so sugary sweet. Just like sugar, too much is bad for you and overbearing, his love is suffocating. You’ll live a lavish life at the cost of your privacy and your attention. Keep your eyes on him, yeah? 

Jamil Viper 

Alright, let’s get into this man’s life. Jamil. Dear lord, his traits are overprotective, possessive, manipulative, and obsessive. How did I reach that conclusion? Well, let’s dive into Jamil’s life. Honestly, he never interested me as much until we got to book 4, I genuinely believed him for a second with the whole Kalim situation but then I realized, shit. He got me. Jamil is a character to whom I want to introduce a new scale, one that I thought of using for a while but I guess never got to use it. Revealing that at the end! 

Okay so, I want to start off with a trait and then get my point across smoothly. So, starting off strong, Jamil is possessive. His possessiveness stems from his fear of losing you to someone better than him, like Kalim. In book 4 we’re introduced to Kalim’s and Jamil’s relationship. One of a master and a servant, as much as Kalim doesn’t treat Jamil like that, it doesn’t change the fact that that's how it is. Jamil was born into a servant family and Kalim into their masters. He has had to be their food tester, has had to prepare the food to avoid someone poising it, shit he probably has taken a bullet for him at some point. If not now, maybe in the future but that’s the way it is. He’s there to serve, granted he can also live a life of his own, but it’s not really living if he has to hold back to let Kalim live more comfortably. Jamil wants to show his abilities, he wants time in the spotlight that he has to, unfortunately, give up to Kalim. This is why I see him as possessive, his S/O is HIS. Just his, a little indulgence if you will. His little secret. Kalim can have any and everything, just not you. If Kalim ever were to take an interest in you, god forbid, Jamil would be quick to guide Kalim away. 

“No, you don’t want them! Your family is very high up, they won’t settle for [Reader]. It’s better to pick someone better, trust me Kalim.” Maybe even slander you? “[Reader] can’t cook, besides they’re an outsider. Your parents would never approve of someone so useless and mysterious.” He’d even try to get him into an arranged marriage so that he can’t get to you. Yeah, he’s that possessive. Which ties in with his obsession. However, you manage to catch his eye, he’s hooked. He is constantly observing you, gathering what information he can on you, and seeing what you like and dislike. He’s not stalking you as you may think, but the information he gathers on you is scary. If anything, it’s to be a better partner. He knows what you enjoy so you can talk about your hobbies and interests, he knows what meals you like so expect him to make them often. He knows what makes you tick, and how to get under your skin but he also knows what you support and seek in someone. He knows things about you that you’ve never revealed and he claims you’ve said before and just forgot. 

Manipulative. He can and will gaslight you. Try his hardest to make you see his side of the story. He’s not above using his ability to make you listen to him. He rather uses it as a last resort, but if he needs to, it’s there. Unlike Kalim, he will isolate. You start losing friends. He’ll end up taking too much of the time that eventually you start turning down invitations and start spending time with him. You’re slowly losing your friends and actively choosing to seek out Jamil now. That’s what he wants, while yes he played a part in it he managed to shift all blame to you. Yeah, he asked you out at first but now YOU’RE the one seeking him out. Not him. All is according to plan. Aside from isolating you, he’ll do what he can to make you keep your attention on him. Look at him. Speak to him only. Love him and nobody else. Stay with him forever. You start seeking him out and that’s when he knows he’s won. He’s so overprotective, constantly looking after you. He has a tight schedule that you follow, it’s for your benefit he says. Eventually, your life starts to be dictated by him. I want to say that after a while, he trusts you around Kalim. You can assist him in his duties and you can lighten his load. You can help him study, you can run errands, can watch over him, etc. At some point, he’ll let the power dynamic get to him and have you do impossible tasks. His relationship with Kalim is the same as yours, except he's the master and you’re the servant. He does love you, but he sometimes lets it slip. He just enjoys the roles being reversed for a bit. 

What's the scale change I want to make? It’s rope, chain, and saw. The rope is soft, their control over you is minimal and it’s usually held with rope. A knot that isn’t too secure but can come undone. The chain is a little bit stricter, there is a key to remove but it’s usually only given after you’ve made them happy for a while. The saw is that these crazy ass mfs took your leg babes, they sawed that bitch off!! Their control is so strong they clipped your wings, and you’re not leaving. So why is this relevant, well. . .I see Jamil using that as a last resort. We jumped a couple of chapters so let me start at the beginning. If you like Vocaloid, there is this song called ‘purgatory and the canary girl’, and honestly, that's how I see your relationship with Jamil. I feel like you’re a doll, a bird in a cage for his viewing pleasure only. You’re not something that he has to give to Kalim or the Asims. You’re his. His to control, his to enjoy, his to exploit, his to love, etc. This is something he can have. He hates being second. He hates having to give up his well-deserved spotlight because his status says he can’t have it. He hates it, he loathes it but it’s okay. He’s willing to give it all up, as long as he can keep you. So like a caged bird, he’s not letting you see anyone. You’re not interacting with anyone aside from him and the people he lets near. If you escape him, yeah he’d probably be one of the few who are willing to look for permanent solutions to make you stay. So yes, he might cut your leg(s) off to ensure you don’t leave him. 

His scaling aside from the saw is a 9/10. Man is committed to doing anything as long as you gaze at him only. Would he take your eyes? Now I’m getting sidetracked but no because I see him as someone who still wants you to look at him. However, if the cage isn’t enough he’s willing to clip a few wings to get you to depend on and rely on him entirely. He’s dangerous because he’s not above certain limits, he’s fine with keeping you as you are.

Something to link on my blog because I keep having people ask me the same stuff like, every week. So here's a summary of the blog and stuff

Q: What is this blog? A: Hi, I'm Dodo! And this is my Splatoon blog. This is primarily an art blog but somewhere along the way this has become a speculative biology blog and headcanon space. Put simply, it's "trying to turn Splatoon real".

Q: What do you post here? A: Mostly my Splatoon OCs. Occasionally, I post five mile long rant posts and essays about Splatoon, or Inkling biology, or my headcanons in educational comic form. If you've seen the Kraken Post or Inklings and Color or whatever I called that, those are mine.

Q: Why do your Inklings look like that? A: I approach Inklings from the angle of them being squids that evolved to be bipedal, rather than "human with some squid traits" as they're often depicted. Within the community, this is often referred to as "xeno inklings", which just means Inklings with animal traits. I don't really tag my art as such, but contextually it's the same thing. If that kind of thing makes you mad for some reason just don't follow.

Q: Your [insert headcanon here] is not canon compliant. A: Right, disclaimer now: a lot of the things here are NOT canon compliant. I try to keep most stuff canon compliant, but sometimes things are stupid or make no sense and that's when we build around it.

Q: Can I use your headcanons/inkfish designs? A: This is a question I get regularly. Feel free to use my headcanons and inkfish designs! You can also build upon them or use them as inspiration for your own headcanons. All I ask is not to copy my OC designs.

Q: Where can I see/read your headcanons? A: My headcanon tag is #squidthoughts.

Q: When did you start playing Splatoon? A: I started in late 2015, with Splatoon 1. But I started this blog around 2018, I think? If you play Splatoon, you might've seen me (sticky boy). I mostly play Salmon Run.

Q: What's your main weapon? A: I've grown as a person and am no longer an E-Liter 4K main. However, I don't really have a main. I like variety in games and my goal has been 3-starring every weapon in the game... so eh. I like Chargers, Rollers and Splatlings the best. Also if I get annoyed enough I revert back to being an E-Liter main. Sorry

Q: Do you play other games? A: Before Splatoon, Zelda was my main fandom alongside Pokemon. My favorite games are Pokemon Legends Arceus, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Splatoon, Night in the Woods and Minecraft. Other than Splatoon and Minecraft though I barely ever play anything else. Q: Are you American? A: Despite the fact that I'm always posting shit at US afternoon times, I am in fact from northern Europe. My sleep schedule is just all over the place and I get productive at 11pm onward. lol. (Guess what time it is right now!!??!?)

This might be controversial but...I have this nagging thought...

There are always people here talking how lgbtq representation in fanfiction or fandon is often derided or unwelcome. I think that's pretty sad tbh and there are definitely a lot of trolls, bigots and all sorts of phobes out there.

But tbh, I think most average people are just tired of a particular type of lgbtq representative, and they seem to be everywhere, who forcefully insists that anyone not shipping m/m, anyone not going along with their trans headcanons, anyone who disagrees basically is a homophobe, bigot, terf etc. These people make preferences into a morality issue and I think other people are just tired of it and quietly leaving, not openly and enthusiastically cheering it on and sometimes just getting frustrated.

I was having a discussion on reddit the other day about something related to this and they said well, straight cis representation is like 99.9% of media so we (lgbtq) can have this one thing, and I said of course you can. You can have as much of it as you want in fandom but I don't like how cis/straight shipping gets shit on by these people. You don't have to tear something else down just to build yourself up. The vast majority of het shippers are just normal, nice people, just like the majority of lgbtq shippers but there are all these 'enlightened types' pushing their ships and headcanons and making it out like you're an enemy if you don't support them which is ridiculous.

I was lurking on a pretty big fanfiction forum a year or so ago and fanfiction hot takes came up and several people nervously put up their hand and said they wished there was more love for het shipping in fandom and fanfiction specifically, while doing huge long disclaimers that of course they love nd support the lgbtq community and are happy that all sorts of representation exists in fandom etc. And I think it's kinda sad that people feel they have to write this long disclaimer and pre-apologise for an opinion that's perfectly valid and innocuous because they're afraid of being vilified. If someone is cis/het it's not a crime for them to want cis/het content in their fandom, or for it to be viewed positively. Do you know what I mean? I'm sorry if I'm not explaining myself well -.-'

I feel like people are going to respond and say that cis/het stuff is already the majority but in fanfiction and shipping it's really not. And that's also not the point I'm trying to make. I'm trying to express frustration with people who think lgbtq orientated fan content is morally or in other ways superior to cis/het.

It even happens here. I remember when I first found your blog one of the very first asks I read was from someone acting quite smug and literally saying that het shippers are just superficial, horny self-inserters that want to seduce and bang the MC while they, a m/m shipper, were actually invested in plot and nuance and all those intelligent things that het shippers apparently don't get and that ask left a really bad taste in my mouth.

It's disheartening to see this kind of thing. Sorry again if I didn't express myself well. I'm just trying to say that if lgbtq representation in fandom space isn't getting recognition or people are avoiding it, an important reason might that people don't like feeling like they HAVE to support it or else...

It's ironic that you're sending this ask to me when one of the things I'm known for is compiling shipping statistics on FFN and Wattpad to prove that m/m is not the majority in fanfic fandom. This is one of my specific hobbyhorses. I find the constant spreading of this misinformation EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

Yes, there are lots of assholes going "ship my ship or you're not progressive", and they all suck, including the large number of them who yell at m/m shippers that we should ship het.

"I wish het ships got more love" is a fucking stupid opinion.

"I wish Wattpad had a functional search" or "I wish FFN weren't going down the drain" or "I wish the big het fandoms were less femsub" would all be perfectly reasonable takes that are based on actually seeking out het fandoms and hanging out with het fans. So would "I want more fellow hetshippers who have a queer sensibility but f/m ships". But for someone to act like there aren't massive het camps tells me they never bother to venture outside of their tiny bubble.

I have zero patience for fans who whine that their popular thing is unpopular because they're too lazy or clueless to go find all the zillions of other people who like it.

I'm sorry if this comes off as rude but why can't you write for male and gn reader? Why can't you learn how to write for them instead if you're not experienced in writing for them? There are so much fics lacking male readers and seeing that the main priority if fem reader is getting annoying.

I'd like to remind you guys to read my disclaimer post before interacting and assuming. (I'll only be refering to male reader since anon is leaning onto that side more)

I simply do not write for male readers because of the fact that they make me uncomfortable to write for. I'm too used to male and female smut scenes but yes I agree that I could always learn how to write for them but I do not want to. Please respect my decision on this.

But I've also seen that mxm blogs do not accept writing for female reader because (a) male readers lack content (b) they aren't comfortable or experienced in writing in female pov.

Now if they were in my shoes and encounter an ask like this talking about how they can simply just learn how to write for female readers instead of focusing on males it'll make them extremely dysphoric. It is best if you just respect their choice on not wanting to write female readers and not force them to write what makes them uncomfortable.

Yes, Male Readers don't have much fanfictions but that is not on me. You're gonna have to bear with it and find a blog to your liking to follow. I will write what I'm comfortable with and so will other authors, that's how the writing community works.

Next time, anon. Don't tell other authors to write this or that if they clearly don't want to. Saying that they could just "learn" how to write it is just making them not want to write it more because of how forceful you can be. Understand that my blog is not for you.

Panic Attack - Reader × Song Mingi

You heard Mingi's crazed breathing from the other room and you know the what that he's breathing means he's having either a panic or anxiety attack.

Disclaimer: I don't have anxiety, and have only had one panic attack in my entire life (it was also like 3 years ago and I barely remember it), so please forgive me if any of this is written weirdly because I'm going off of the very few experiences with panic attacks I've had. I wanted to write this after a close friend of mine had a severe one, I wasn't really able to help her in that moment but for this story I tried remembering some ways that you can help someone during a panic attack so that this can help you keep those tips in the back of your mind in case you need them while also just reading a fluffy oneshot story I rushed.

(I didn’t realise this was gonna be posted ON MINGI’S BIRTHDAY but it was, so happy birthday?? I guess?? I posted a much better happy birthday message for him on my main blog. XD)

I rushed in after a few seconds realising what was happening. I could hear his rapid and loud breathing in the room next door but I wasn't sure if he was having a panic attack, but I was definitely sure now.

I almost burst into the room but tried to keep myself calm so as to not worsen his state. I quickly approached his heaving figure sitting on the edge of the bed and I knelt down in front of him, softly holding onto his shoulders, trying to get him to focus on me and not his erratic breathing.

"Mingi? Mingi look at me." I tried to catch his eyes with mine and hold them there. His wide eyes were filled with fear and he kept clutching his shirt and throat. His face was stained with tear tracks. When he started speaking my heart shattered.

"I-I-I-I-I c-can't br-breathe. M-my throat keeps c-closing up-!" He continued hyperventilating as my mind raced trying to think of how I could get him to calm down.

"W-what's h-happen-ning?" His eyes glossed with fresh tears.

"Shh... Baby, baby look at me. Look at me. You're having a panic attack."

"B-b-b-but this doesn't f-feel like a-any p-panic attack I've h-h-had!"

"That's because this is a big one. But I'm here for you okay?" I kept rubbing his shoulders so I could divert some of his attention. When he nodded it was onto his breathing.

"We're gonna focus on your breathing, okay? You remember the breathing technique?" He nodded furiously.

I stumbled on a breathing technique that was supposed to help you in moments of extreme stress.

Breathe in for 4 seconds.

Hold your breath for 8 second.

Breathe out for 7 seconds.

"Breathe in with me. 4 in..." I counted down with my fingers in front of him and let his eyes dart from mine to my hand.

"Hold for 8." I tried to not count down too quickly because the point of this is to slow down your breathing.

"7 out..." His exhale was shaky to say the least.

"Well done baby. One more time." He nodded and we repeated the exercise. I honestly couldn't tell that much of a difference, but didn't want to annoy him by repeating the exercise. So I resorted to something else.

"Baby, what colour is my shirt?" He looked at my shirt the way a child would look at a scary monster in their book of bedtime stories, but he managed to answer.

"B-blue."

"Well done baby. Where are you right now?"

"I-I-in our apartment."

"Yes." I had to remind myself to pause so he doesn't feel bombarded with questions.

"What's this that you're wearing?" I held onto some of the fabric of his pants.

"Jeans-s." He breathing was finally calming down a bit.

"Well done baby. Well done..." I tried to keep my voice soft and not speak too quickly. We continued the exercise for a few more rounds. I eventually stopped speaking for a little bit and rubbed his thigh as he got more control over his breathing.

"S-s-s-sorry." He said sheepishly as he tried to swallow.

"What? Baby you don't have to apologise. It's fine. This isn't your fault." I tried to calmly reassure him.

About a minute later and his breathing was almost completely stable and his throat seemed to have opened up.

He explained (still with a slight but far less aggressive stutter) that he was just sitting on the bed when all of a sudden he couldn't breathe and his throat closed up. I just sat there trying my best to reassure him that everything's fine now.

It all seemed good until round two came in and his breathing skyrocketed again. His eyes getting glossy once more and judging by how he was again clawing at his throat, I assumed it had closed up once more.

I figured trying any breathing exercise or technique might annoy him and that idea was only backed up by how he kept trying to speak but his stuttering kept pissing him off beyond belief and he cursed at himself for it after every failed attempt. With the curses came more tears. I was not gonna test it out and see whether it annoyed him more or not.

"Shh it's okay baby. It's okay. Don't try to speak, you're gonna upset yourself. Just focus on your breathing. Focus on your breathing." He made eye contact, desperately trying to apologise with his eyes as he tried to breathe along with me. I didn't time anything, just normal deep breaths in and out. After a minute or so he seemed to have regained some control of his breathing again. I continued this breathing exercise, praising him and trying to keep him calm. He was halfway there when his breathing tried to increase again. I took his right hand and softly dragged it along the sequence pattern of the bedding.

"Feel the sequence baby. Follow the pattern. Just follow the pattern." I guided his hand along the circles and waves of the bedding and tried my best to direct all his focus to the bedding.

"I-I-m... I-I-I'm so s-sor. I-ARG! FUCK!" He clenched both his fists and his tears continued to pour out.

"Shhh baby don't worry. Don't talk just focus on the bedding." I was a lot calmer and it showed in my voice. I just continued guiding his hand and rubbing his thigh or shoulder to let him know I'm here.

I only had to remind him to breathe a few more times after that and finally he gained full control of his breathing and mind and the panic attack had passed.

Now I just had a shaky, fragile Mingi to deal with.

It was quiet and the only sound was his shaky breathing.

"Mingi... look at me. Look at me baby." I whispered, breaking the thin veil of silence in the room.

He looked at me, tears still spilling from his eyes.

"I-I'm sorry..." He sounded so sad.

"It's okay baby... Don't worry about it. Do you feel any better?" He nodded, savoring the feeling of being able to breathe.

Still holding onto him I got up (slowly because sitting on my knees for so long, my legs were in pain) and sat next to him on the bed, rubbing circles into his back. He broke down crying into my shoulder and I held onto him, occasionally whispering sweet nothings in his ear and pressing soft kisses on the side of his face. I played with his hair and let him calm down. After a minute or two of sobbing he was resting on my shoulder, exhausted out of his mind.

"Do you want me to get you some tissues?" He shook his head.

"Stay..." His nose was so blocked.

"Let me at least get you some tissues and water. Then I'll stay here for as long as you want baby. Hmm?" After a few seconds of thought he nodded and sat up to face me. I held his head in both my hands and wiped his tears away with my thumbs before softly kissing the tip of his nose. My heart fluttered as his eyes closed and he softly smiled.

I helped him get into bed and tried to get the water and tissues as quickly as possible, and came back with a big, full glass and a roll of toilet paper because I couldn't find the tissues. He blew his nose (a lot) and almost finished the whole glass. I set everything down on his side of the bed and went under the covers along with him. I took him into my arms, playing with his hair and kissing the top of his head and in less than a minute I could hear his snores. I softly smiled to myself pressing one more kiss to his temple.

"I love you Mingi..."

Sorry, that ask wasn’t meant to upset you. I was just letting you know why Tom not having a wedding ring in Lower Decks likely wasn’t a continuity error. Since it’s kind of shitty to call the animators careless or lazy for something like that, especially on a show with as much love and attention to detail put into it as Lower Decks

Ok fine, I will answer this one.

First of all, I did not call the animators lazy or careless and I don't like you implying that I did. What little I have seen from LD has delighted me, and I appreciate wholeheartedly how much they actually reference and joke about Star Trek with love.

What I said (in a post on my blog with all of like 10 followers), was that I was offended they didn't take the time to animate Tom's wedding ring. Now, I shouldn't have to put long disclaimers on every short text post I make here on tumblr dot com, but I guess this time apparently I do.

I am very aware that it is a tiny and minor detail (especially in terms of animation), which the (often underpaid) animators probably didn't have the time or luxury to put in. But I also know that I am autistic and often fixate on minor details that I KNOW a lot of people just won't think about. So yes, I still have every reason to believe that people either forgot about it (and that is understandable; wedding rings are very old fashioned in a futuristic setting), or didn't think it was important enough to include (again, possibly because of money or time issues which are, again, completely understandable and not the animators' fault).

What you're missing is the POINT of the original post, which is just that I was sad - because Tom's arc of growing into a committed husband and family man is very important to his character. So not including this one obvious indication of his arc in a new and often very detail-oriented show (which notably makes no indication of Tom's relationship at all), was personally disappointing to me. THAT IS ALL. Especially since nothing that happens in the episode would need to address the absence of B'Elanna with or without the ring (since it already didn't).

As a side note, many books and even the most recent 2022/23 IDW comic have all included the fact that Tom is a married man with a family - even when B'Elanna is not present in the story. Regardless of whether someone is available to voice-act or not, in a clearly one-shot episode appearance for Tom, I'm legitimately not sure why LD did not include any reference to it. I think it would have been entirely in-character to hear from someone that B'Elanna is annoyed Tom's going around on a handshake tour while she's busy doing real work. But even if no one wanted to force it into dialogue, including the ring would have still given us something for a relationship that was carefully built over multiple seasons of the source series.

Lastly, if you've been on this blog at all you should know that I am clearly a fan of Tom/B'Elanna (among other ships). So I'm really not sure why you'd think that coming into my askbox to insist all post-Voyager canon would either have B'Elanna divorced from Tom or DEAD, wouldn't make me upset!?

this blog was started and created by nini, a 19 year old college student who decided she didn’t have it in her to write! it was then passed on to me, lex, one of Annie’s close friends!

I’m 18 and am going to nursing school!!

I love to write, but don’t think I could do it as a career, so I’ve decided to begin posting fanfics for the lovely tumblr community! I love movies, art – in the form of crochet, writing, photography, and music!

This blog is mainstream movie, show, and book character centric. I do mostly write smut, but if need be I can do everything and anything else :)

Anyway! I also want to address what’s probably going to get me the most backlash…and that is my age! I am only 17, and I know how strongly some ppl feel abt minors writing smut, even though 15 year olds are sucking dick and getting pregnant like it’s nothing 😸 but yes, me, a 17 year old woman that takes care of herself, pays her bills, owns a car, and goes to college is the end of the woooorld 🤯 also, I just want to disclaim — I do not edit any of my works, because I just simply don’t see the point! Even if I read and read and read, I’m always bound to miss something, so I just don’t even bother! I’m sure everything I write probs has lots of grammar errors or mistakes, so if that annoys u – this isn’t the blog for you, and there’s no need for u to tell me to fix my shit bc at the end of the day, it’s my shit :D

All jokes aside, if you’re going to leave hate on my page, or tell people to mass block/report me for being a minor – you need to reassess your life and priorities, because it’s really not that deep.

Hi there, I'm LoM! I use singular they/them pronouns but may grant permission to use other pronouns to people I am extremely close to. I speak English (🇺🇲/🇬🇧) and conversational French (🇫🇷), and am learning Welsh (🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿), so feel free to talk to me in any of those languages! bad day (draco malfoy).

Pairing: Draco Malfoy x hufflepuff female reader

Summary: Draco Malfoy is dating a hufflepuff, his friends and her get along and everything is going exactly the way y/n dreamed off. On a particularly bad day for Draco, he lashes out on y/n.

Warning: angst - angry/upset Draco, fluff – Draco becomes a sweetheart.

“Can you stop being such an annoyance and move?” Draco snaps at Blaise who was sitting at the Slytherin table for breakfast.

“There are plenty other seats available mate. Go to one of those.” Blaise pointed to the very evident available spaces around them.

“I want to sit here, now scram.” His piercing grey eyes glared into Blaise’s.

“Fine.” He grumbled and got up and walked to the opposite side of where Draco sat down.

A few minutes went by before you came strolling into the great hall and made your way straight to the Slytherin table.

“Morning love, how’re you today?” You smiled and pressed a kiss to Draco’s cheek. He grimaced away and glared at you.

This wasn’t unusual, Draco wasn’t the most affectionate around others, unless someone tried to make a move on you.

“Did you want something?” He mumbled and looked at the plate in front of him.

“I just thought I’d come and see you before I’m off to classes for today. Hagrid’s taking us to the forest for the Care of Magical Creatures. It’s so exciting.” You beamed at him expressing your excitement.

Animals was always something you loved, so being given this opportunity made you happy.

“How nice.” He scoffs and picks up a piece of toast and took a bite out of it.

“Is that all you’re going to eat?” You asked with in concern.

A habit of Draco’s you picked up on was that when he was stressed or upset, he would barely eat.

“Yes y/n, now if you’re done babbling on about nonsense. I’d like to eat in peace.” He snaps at you with angry eyes.

“Alright.” You whisper and nod, your eyes make contact with Blaise who sent you a sad smile and then you looked to Pansy who was glaring daggers at Draco.

Blaise and Pansy were supportive of your relationship with Draco from the start, as long as Draco was happy, they were happy. And a friendship blossomed between you and them. Blaise being the bigger brother you didn’t have and Pansy being the best friend who threatened anyone who was rude to you.

You put your head down and walked away without looking back at Draco.

The day went on slow, and your mood had been uplifted after your Care of Magical Creatures period with Hagrid.

It was now lunch time and you had only one other period, which you had with Draco to attend to before calling it a day since you had a free period afterward. When you walked into the great hall, you looked to the Slytherin table and saw Draco sitting there alone.

This was the perfect opportunity for you to ask him what was wrong. The question had been playing on your mind and you hated seeing your boyfriend so upset.

“Hey love.” You greet him as he still looks down at the book in front of him.

“Hello.” He mumbles out without even really acknowledging you.

He still seemed to be in a mood, so you sat there and tried to think of what to do to make him feel better, that’s when your mind wondered to a joke that Fred and George told you.

“I have a really funny joke I heard from Fred and George-“

“For heaven’s sake, can you shut your bloody mouth. All I want is to be left alone and you keep pestering on things that don’t concern you. Godric you’re so annoying” He snaps, gaining the attention of every one that was within earshot.

Your eyes were wide as you looked to him in shock, never before had Draco raised his voice at you, even when he was in the worst of moods.

“Sorry.” You whisper and gather your things and leave. Draco finally felt a bit at peace, but at what cost?

You didn’t attend your next period, which didn’t go unnoticed by Draco… or Blaise and Pansy.

“Okay, what did you do?” Blaise sighed as he put his book down. They were currently sat in the Slytherin common room. You showed up to dinner with puffy eyes and tinted cheeks, clearly indicating that you were crying, but you didn’t sit with Draco like you usually did.

“What do you mean?” Draco tried to play it off cool.

“Y/n.” He simply replied.

“She was with her friends, why do you assume I did something?” Blaise interrogated further.

“Because she looked like someone hexed her puppy, why else?” He says more firmly.

Blaise may have been a man of many jokes, but when it came to those he cared for, it made a side no one knew of come out.

“I just told her to leave me alone.” Draco dismissed the topic and went back to reading the book he had resting in his lap.

“Yeah sure.” Blaise woke up and put the book he had on the coffee table and started to walk towards the exit of the common room.

“Where’re you going to now?” Draco called out.

“I’m going to check on the ones that I care about, because that’s what you do when they’re upset. Much like what y/n had been trying to do.” He walked away before Draco could say anything else.

Draco sat there feeling bad about the way he had acted towards you, he was just having a bad day, but then again that was no excuse to take out his frustration on you, especially not like that.

Growing more frustrated he threw the book on the table and went up to his dorm. He needed to make things right, but after a good night’s sleep.

“Look just sit with us, you don’t even need to sit with him.” Pansy assured you and walked towards the great hall.

You stopped at the entrance and scanned the room; he wasn’t there yet. With a sigh you nodded to Pansy and followed her as she sat more towards the middle of the table.

“It’ll be alright, and if he tries anything, I’ll just hex him.” She said trying to make you smile, and you did smile, but just not as big as she wanted you to.

You started to put food on your plate when a cough came from behind you. You looked over your shoulder to see Draco standing there looking at you with a raised brow.

You began to panic and stood up to leave, “Sorry, I’ll leave.” You mumbled and went to sidestep him.

“Stay y/n, he can be the one to leave.” Pansy awoke and watched as Draco narrowed his eyes at her.

“I don’t recall you being part of this issue.” He said to her.

“It became my issue when you chose to down talk someone who wouldn’t bad mouth the next person no matter what they were offered.” She took a step forward and you could see her reaching for her wand.

Not wanting to see what was about to happen, you walked around the pair and darted out of the room. You could hear footsteps follow behind you shortly.

“Stop y/n… wait.” Draco grabbed hold of your arm and stopped any further movement.

“No.” You whisper and struggle against him as tears gather in your eyes.

“Shh love, it’s okay.” He whispered soothingly as he pulled you towards his chest.

“I am such an idiot for saying those things, nothing is wrong with you. I love everything about you.” He mumbled into your hair as he kissed your head.

You stood there for a moment in his arms and collected your thoughts, you needed to talk about what happened. You didn’t know where your relationship stood after yesterday, it had been playing on your mind all night.

“We need to talk.” You look up at him, trying to stop your voice from wavering.

Draco nods and leads you to the seventh floor towards the left corridor, to the room of requirement. You and Draco often went there to study, because the library was always loud, and he liked studying when it was just you two.

The door exposed itself, he opened it to reveal the usual setting of a big desk and two chairs, as well as a rather comfortable sofa.

You walked in and looked over your shoulder as the door closed and a bookshelf appeared in its place.

“What do you want to talk about?” He asked anxiously.

You walked to the sofa as he stood and leaned on the table facing you.

“What happened yesterday?” You kept your voice firm.

“I had a bad day.” He answered shortly, clearly not wanting to give away any more information. You could tell something was worrying him.

“Why Draco?” Your tone was softer this time, out of concern when he looked away from you.

With a sigh he looked up from the floor and met your eyes. He held your gaze, and you guessed from the way his eyebrows furrowed, he could tell you were concerned.

“I got a letter, the night before… from my parents.” You had met Draco’s parents once before. They didn’t particularly like the fact that he was with a Hufflepuff but settled for you since you came from a strong pure blood family.

“My mother wrote that my father was thinking of arranging a marriage between Astoria Greengrass and I… “ The moment the words left his mouth you stared at him in disbelief.

Not at the fact that his father would do that knowing he was in a relationship, but rather at the fact that his father even considered it with how young Draco was.

“Oh Draco.” You whispered and got up from the sofa to hug him as tears gathered in his eyes.

“After all the times I tried to prove my worth to him, he still goes and does something like this, knowing that I love you.” He choked out a sob and hugged you tightly.

“You don’t have to prove anything to him Draco, you’re a strong and brave man.” You put your arms around him and hug him just a tightly.

He continued to cry for a little more before he withdrew and looked to you.

You wiped away the tears from his eyes and as he looked to you with sad eyes.

“You’re the one I want to marry.” He brought his forehead to yours with his eyes closed, he needed to calm himself. He hated feeling out of control of his emotions.

“R-really?” You were shocked at his words, you two had never discussed anything related to the future.

“You heard me; I want to marry you.” He stepped back from you and smiled.

“Have I rendered you speechless love?” He chuckled when he saw your face.

“No, I just-… I never thought you would want to.” You say honestly.

You never doubted the love that Draco had for you, but being brought up by your parents, they always preached you securing a good future for yourself and not replying on others.

“You’re the only exception for me.” He whispered and kissed your forehead.

Crazy ideas started to form in your head. You wanted to be able to make him happy, and if that conducting the crazy idea you just thought of, then so be it.

“Let’s run away… “ You whispered and looked to his face to watch his expression.

“What?”

“You heard me, as soon as we graduate. It’s only a month and a half more. We could go to the muggle city. Your parents would never associate with the muggle world.” You explain further.

“And what if they do?”

“They wouldn’t, think of how your mother and aunt stopped communicating with Andromeda? they never tried to contact her.”

“You’re right, they never thought twice about it, and there are plenty of places we could go to where they wouldn’t find us.” He smiled took hold of your head pressing kisses all over.

You laughed at his actions and kissed his lips. He briefly pulled back and stared at you.

“What about your parents?”

“They would support me either way. If you think this idea is crazy, you should’ve seen my parents’ wedding.” You chuckled recalling the stories and pictures you saw.

“Godric, I love you so much. The ideas that run through that head of yours…” He kisses you again and sits on the sofa with you cuddling into his arms.

This certainly was going to spread like wildfire the day you two run away, the Slytherin prince and the Hufflepuff joker, a pair that everyone doubted yet wanted to be.
