♡ tips to build muscle ♡

these are my favorite tips that have helped me gain muscle mass in the gym over the past few years. disclaimer: this is what has worked for me, but may not work for you! listen to your body!:)
• eat enough protein i aim to eat around 115g of protein per day. protein comes from meat, fish, eggs, peanut butter, soy, etc. it can be found in plants (if ur veggie!) you can also use products like protein powders & bars to help with these goals.
• eat enough calories the amount of calories your body needs is completely different to another person. however, under-eating will not make your muscles grow! it is very ineffective if you are trying to put on mass to be strictly dieting, so make sure you’re fueling your body with nutrients!
• compound movements start your workouts with compound lifts. examples are squats, deadlifts, bench, etc. these movements engage multiple muscle groups & are optimal for muscle gain.
• progressive overload the best way i saw progress in growing muscle was following a plan & doing the same exercises for each muscle group, while slowly adding weight. this will increase your strength! be consistent!
• creatine creatine is a naturally found in your body already, and is a safe supplement that aids in your performance & energy levels. i take 3g per day, even on rest days. mine is from myprotein, but i also love pescience brand. just mix it into water or another drink you like!

😋🍌WHAT I EAT IN A DAY - 6 March 2023 🧋 BREAKFAST - Pink Dragon Fruit Bubble Tea (raw vegan) + 2 big bananas. I wasn’t planning to make anything fancy initially but then I realised I still had pink dragon fruit and I didn’t want it to go bad so I made bubble tea again. And then I ate some bananas. 🥥LUNCH - Tried out @rawfoodromance’s Tasty Coconut Delight recipe which is in her eBook - 52 to a new you. If you got the recent Health & Weight Loss Bundle, turn to pg 278 for the recipe. 🌶️SNACK - I’m working on a raw vegan emping melinjo + sambal terasi recipe so this is what I ate. I’ve battled so many emotional triggers, with this mission. Stress, exhaustion, frustration and grief. It’s intensely relentless. And relentlessly intense. But we are getting there now. And we are onto our final push. The van is almost done. The home is almost there. Soon we will be on the open road ready to adventure over to another world. Onto foreign soil to cultivate land on a project and build a self sustainable community. Living my dream. And in the meantime I’m still sticking with fruit and salad. I’m so serious the accusatory misuse of terms like “body checking” by fat activists who don’t know a single fucking thing about restrictive EDs like anorexia and how it actually effects peoples lives is doing a harm and disservice to people with these EDs by simultaneously flanderizing the definition of and demonizing the activities that people either do out of compulsion due to their mental illness or don’t harm anyone because they can’t tell the difference between someone taking a video of themselves in the mirror before their #whatieatinaday to say hi to the camera and someone repeatedly and obsessively checking to make sure a body part or feature is a specific way because they are experiencing an obsessive compulsion around their body or features of it. My god.

I’m still working on my Bubble Tea or now it seems to be known as Boba Tea recipe which is raw vegan. So today was making the pink dragon fruit one and had it for breakfast. Then I ate 2 bananas as I was still hungry. Hehe. 🇮🇳LUNCH - Conducted a Live Group Zoom Call today. I showed how I made raw vegan North India Curry recipe. After that, I thinned out the curry with some coconut water and used it as a salad dressing for my lunch salad. 🥗SALAD INGREDIENTS Kailan Rocket Sawtooth coriander Coriander leaves Cabbage kimchi Red cabbage sauerkraut Brazil nut Wakame seaweed Brazil nut Celery Mung bean sprouts Goji berries Fresh ripe jackfruit Red bell pepper Tomatoes Aloe vera Thai green chilli Chayote Natto Lemon basil Curry leaves Young kaffir lime leaves Strawberries 💛SNACKS: Fresh ripe jackfruit 🥭DINNER: Rollinia and mango I’ve also been working on a raw vegan sambal terasi recipe to go with my raw vegan emping.
