you know i do wonder how many sonic characters actually have living parents. like knuckles is the last of his kind so obviously his parents arent around anymore. both guys who could be considered shadows dads are 100 percent confirmed dead. sonic is canonically an orphan im pretty sure. and on the other side of the coin cream is like the only character in the game cast who has a living parent we actually see onscreen. but what about everyone else i dont think theres a straight answer for any other character. other than rouge's mom being mentioned a couple times i Guess but we dont even know anything about her or if shes still alive just that she existed at some point. are these kids constantly putting themselves in danger because they dont have parents around to stop them or because their parents just dont care
#like what about tails. im guessing he didnt have any sort of family he was attached to if he left to be with sonic so quickly#but that doesnt really mean he didnt have parents at all. maybe he had parents and they just sucked i dont know#what about amy. what if she had parents this whole time we just never see them.#what about blaze. considering shes a princess id assume she was born into that role#but i dont know if her parents are ever actually mentioned#maybe theyre dead and there was no one else to take on their role and thats why blaze has so much responsibility at such a young age?#silver . he was born in a wet cardboard box all alone i cant really imagine him hvaing parents sorry#considering charmy is 6 and living with vector. an adult whos obviously not his biological dad.#i feel like something probably happened to charmys parents#espio i dont really question as much#becuase it feels very common in the sonic universe for teenagers to have more freedom than would be expected in real life#or maybe its not that common and the teenagers we're actually following are just living the most fucked up lives ever. i dotn know#but either way. espio where are your parents buddy. are they still alive. vector where are YOUR parents are they still alive#i dont know if i actually want canon explanations for all this though#because its kinda fun not knowing every detail about every characters life and being able to speculate and insert your headcanons n stuff#to be clear im talking about game canon#i know stuff like archie sonic and the sonic movies and the 90s cartoons will sometimes give characters new family members#or talk about their family situation even if the games dont say anything about that sort of thing

Things I think about with frequency
Amy March
How we deserved to see Amy and Laurie's wedding, and them falling in love, and just more of them
How Amy March is hated by many because LMA based the characters off her own sisters, and Amy was obviously written with some bias (as were all the sisters), which shines through and makes us feel similarly about Amy that "Jo" felt about her younger sister.
That line where Amy says "I've been second to Jo my whole life" hits A LOT harder when you realize that Louisa's (Jo) middle name is May, and her younger sister, who she based Amy off, is named May, after LMA's middle name.
I think that people see Amy as this vapid little bitch because she always knew she wanted to be a wife, and she knew she wanted to be rich. But what people fail to consider is that a lot of the time the youngest is the one that sees all the flaws in their family’s lives and feels responsible for taking care of them, even if its not expressly stated. Jo was a wild card. She was free to do as she wanted and nothing could stop her and God love Marmee for never trying. Meg was docile and almost polar opposite of Jo, and as the eldest sister she felt the same burden but lessened because yes she had typical Eldest Sister Syndrome where she had the need to take care of the family, but she also was the first, and therefore had no pre-set markers and expectations that she needed to meet or surpass. She wanted to marry and all that, but it didn't super matter about finances to her. Beth was unable to do "better" than her sisters "mistakes" flat out. And its not through any fault of her own, its just the way it was.
Speaking from experience, its always been clear to me that as the youngest of 3, I would have to do better. My half brother got a girl pregnant on his gap year when he was 18, so I was never allowed to take one, even though it would have probably helped in the long run. My half sister has always been mean to my parents, and won't let my dad see his only biological grandkid, which rips my dad apart, so of course I feel the pressure to have a child to give my dad a bio grandkid to dote on like he does with his non-bio grandkids, even though he's never outwardly expressed to anyone ever that he feels any disconnect from my niece because they aren't related, or that he wants me to have kids for any reason other than he wants them.
Anyways, my point is that Amy felt that pressure from a young age, hence always saying this or that about marrying rich. Add onto that when Aunt March tells her she's her family’s only hope of not being in the lower class/lower middle class for the rest of their lives. And just because that's the only time we see it, but that doesn't mean that there weren't other similar conversations had. Do you really think Aunt March never made her snide comments about the family and their status in front of Amy?
Amy's entire character revolves around this point, she's focused on being a proper lady, being delicate and pretty, in hopes of one day being able to bag someone rich, for her family.
Obviously, she falls into infatuation with Laurie when she meets him at the ripe age of 12??? She idolizes Jo, and Laurie is basically just the boy version (with some exceptions). He's also rich, young, handsome, and charming, and adores the family for who they are, including all their flaws. He's exactly what Amy had been saying she would marry, with the added bonus of him loving Jo the way she is, the exact opposite of Amy, proving that there are rich lovely men out there who will love you even if you aren't perfect, even if you falter. He's proof she can have the life she knows she needs to have for her family, and also still enjoy it and not be stressed all the time about being perfect.
Of course Laurie loves Jo first, for very similar reasons that Amy is infatuated with him. At 15, his whole life has been spent at dinner parties with girls the exact opposite of Jo, all proper and lovely and so so similar to one another, being told he'll marry one of them, everyone expecting him to be polished and well spoken and everything that no 15 year old boy wants to be. So then in comes this whirlwind girl who is completely different, a breath of fresh air that never wants to marry and can't ballroom dance for shit and laughs too loud, and shows him that life can be the Something Different he so desperately craves.
And of course, he ends up with Amy. He was Jo's best friend, so for 6 years all he knew of her was the way she was presented through Jo's eyes. A bratty little girl, who was the same as the other vapid girls he knew, that wasn't worth a thought. And he never paid her any mind because he spent 6 years thinking Jo loved him back, so why would he think of other girls? Then, at 21, he is essentially dumped by the love of his life, and travels abroad to find who he is without her. He meets Amy again, the girl who was always happy to see him. Of course he's going to spend time with her, she's familiar enough to feel like home, but different enough from Jo that it doesn't hurt. And there's the added validation of her liking him, which sometimes you need after your heart has been ripped apart. Plus, she's the only one he really knows in Paris. So they spend time together, and in that time he learns that she's not at all the way he's seen her over the last 6 years. Where he always saw someone not very bright, with a dim personality, that didn't stand up for anything or really rock the boat unless seriously provoked, who would do anything for him, he now finds a strong, funny, kind, beautiful girl, who is very intelligent and has a deep understanding of how cruel the world is (maybe ((definitely)) moreso than her sister) and knows how to manipulate said world in such a way that she can come out close to on top, who cares about her family enough to put everything else aside in order to become the person they need her to be in order to support them, who would still do anything for him but will absolutely call him on his shit and put him in his place when necessary. And how could he not love that?
She's not all that much like Jo, sure, but she is so much more. And she deserves so much more than people calling her his second choice.
Also I think that its criminal that most people don't see that obviously Jo loved her family but she loved herself more. Her sense of duty was to herself, and finding the place that would make her happy. She was also kind of a brat? Things didn't go her way? Editor is a dick? Boy critisizes her writing? Tantrum.
Whereas Amy loved her family more than herself. She was willing to put aside her dreams in order to support her family, and growing up was very rarely bitter about it. She decided, on her own, that her family was her number one priority, and that regardless of the fact that she could be happier doing other things, she wanted to do what she could to provide for her family. She knew how the world treated women, and she learned how to take that, and general criticism, on the chin.
Personally, I think that Amy is a way better character, and I'll die on this hill
Amy March

any chance for more what if emma doesn't die thoughts from you? I am filled with sorrow for her and Dean once more
ooh....you know for someone who has an obscenely long ghost emma wip I've never really considered if she just survived from the beginning hmm...
well obviously when sam barges in the room dean either manages to put himself in front of emma and talk him down, or, the sexier option, he shoots the gun out of sam's hand. sam still argues but dean is invoking oldest rule here lmao. I don't know if 'poughkeepsie' would apply here but I want him to drop a code word to guilt sam into letting emma come along
between his attitude and the whole 'pulling a gun on her' thing emma reasonably does not like sam right off the bat, so she's practically glued to dean like a shadow for the first couple weeks
(personally I think emma truly wanted to escape and didn't want to hurt anyone, I think she only pulled the knife bc she couldn't read dean and thought he wasn't gonna help her. so obviously that's. less of an issue here)
idk I just really like the idea of emma knowing How to fight but having more of a pacifistic nature, not really blending well with either sides of her family. like she didn't ask dean to protect her from the amazons so she could be a hunter. dean may not be able to give her a normal life while they're busy hiding from leviathans, amazons, and the us government, but he'll be damned if he's gonna force her into a fight or give her a gun. sam tries to convince emma to work as bait for the pennywhistle case and dean goes Nuclear
so once dean's comfortable letting her out of his sight for longer than half an hour she's usually on research or like, the get away driver lol
dean's 'never had enough money to get nice things for sammy' childhood guilt is manifesting aggressively he's buying stuff for emma every time he goes anywhere. whole back seat of the car is decked out with fluffy blankets and pillows, she's got her own collection of music, clothes, stuff like that. she definitely has more stuff than she should have considering they're living on the run but that's not gonna stop dean
sorry I just love the idea of sam constantly picking fights with her and dean being like. Why Do You Have Beef With My Newborn.
like I definitely think sam would warm up to her before the end of the season, especially after cas fixes his mind, but between the amy situation and his personal trauma about feeling like a monster his family should have hunted, I think he'd just. have a rough time with her at first. plus in no world does sam know how to communicate with teenage girls lmao
HOWEVER I don't think she'd stay with him while dean is trapped in purgatory. I think lowkey sam doesn't even really. Consider being her guardian or whatever bc he sees her as grown and capable, but also he's immediately trying to find a place to settle down and emma is like. what the fuck are you talking about none of this is finished???
so she takes off. she wants to find kevin to 1) make sure he's okay and 2) see if his prophet powers can help her figure out what happened to dean and cas. I think she should meet up with charlie!!! she figures if anyone can track down a missing person it'd be her, and we all know charlie's not gonna turn away kid wanting to save her parent.
they do find kevin (and linda!) and get them situated and do what they can to hide them from crowley. dean and cas eventually get out of purgatory the same way as in canon bc they couldn't really figure that out, but at least kevin wasn't abandoned all year and had a decent head start on figuring out the tablet. the four of them have a little clubhouse set up and charlie makes buffy the vampire slayer references or room of requirement jokes literally every day
this is pretty much all I've got right now, but I'm always filled with sorrow on emma's (and deans) behalf omg. someone please save her already

I recently remembered the following scene in AF (book one) with Artemis, Butler, and Juliet:
“Well, the thing is, Artemis,” she said hesitantly, twisting a strand of blond hair in a way that several of the local louts considered extremely attractive. “The bit about leprechauns.”
Artemis frowned. It was a bad sign. “Your point, Juliet?”
“Well, leprechauns. You know they’re not real, don’t you?”
Butler winced. It was his fault really. He’d never got around to filling in his sister on the mission parameters.
Artemis scowled reprovingly at him.
“Butler hasn’t already talked to you about this?”
“No. Was he supposed to?”
“Yes, he certainly was. Perhaps he thought you’d laugh at him.”
Butler squirmed. That was exactly what he’d thought. Juliet was the only person alive who laughed at him with embarrassing regularity. Most other people did it once. Just once.
Artemis cleared his throat. “Let us proceed under the assumption that the fairy folk do exist, and that I am not a gibbering moron.”
Butler nodded weakly. Juliet was unconvinced."
Each time Juliet laughs at Butler in a way other people cannot, the teasing highlights that they have a relationship with one another that is different and closer than their relationship with other people in their lives, people whom the siblings would not allow that kind of liberty.
In contrast, look at how cautious Butler is with Artemis in that same scene from AF! Butler staying quiet and shifting his weight uncomfortably would neverrrr happen post-TEC, IMO.
Like, look at this scene from TLC:
“Butler glanced at a passing couple, who were bewitched by Spain and young love. The man had a camcorder slung round his neck. Butler fingered his third button guiltily.
‘We may have ruined a few honeymoon videos,’ he noted.
Artemis shrugged. ‘A small price to pay for my privacy.’
‘Was there a third point?’ asked Butler innocently.
‘Yes,’ said Artemis, a touch testily. Still no sign of the individual he was expecting. ‘I was about to say that if there is a gunman on one of these buildings, it’s that one directly to the rear. So you should stay behind me.’
Butler was the best bodyguard in the business, and even he couldn’t be a hundred per cent sure which rooftop a potential gunman would be on. ‘Go on. Tell me how you know. I know you’re dying to.’
‘Very well, since you ask. No sniper would position himself on the rooftop of Casa Milá, directly across the street, because it is open to the public and so his access and escape would probably be recorded.’
‘His or her,’ corrected Butler. ‘Most metal men are women these days.’
‘His or her,’ amended Artemis.
It's so fun to see how late- and post-series Artemis kind of occupies a similar(ish)** role as Juliet for Butler. Let me explain!
Butler is 18 years older than Juliet, and then 22/3 years older than Artemis. Not to mention, you have Artemis and Juliet having had either one or both of their respective parents absent for significant periods of time during their young lives. Although Butler was a guardian of Artemis at one point in time, there's a reason*** why the French translation of AF has Artemis use "vieux frère" for Butler. Artemis and Juliet exist for Butler in this nebulous category of younger sibling-slash-ward, and I think that complexity makes their importance to Butler all the more interesting.
** The whole "Artemis is technically Butler's boss and thus often is telling Butler what to do -- rather than the other way around" thing is a complicating factor when assessing exactly what is the character of familial dynamic they end up developing.
***Admittedly "ami" wouldn't have the same connotation as "old friend", but I do want to highlight the sense of brotherhood invoked in "vieux frère" -- even though I also recognize that "vieux frère" has kind of a continental, "old pal"-y feel to it, which is also why it's something Artemis would say, LOL!

HI YOU LEGALLY HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS SONG WHILE YOU READ THIS FIC ITS A LAW I DECLARED AND IF YOU DONT ILL CATCH YOU
I adore you - Gareth Emerson x reader
Warnings: alcohol/drinking, some angst, smut, loss of virginity so a bit of classic and obligatory awkwardness. Gareth is aged up to 18
Get me a drink, I get drunk off one sip
Just so I can adore you
I want the entire street out of town
Just so I can be alone with you
And I'll go when you're ready
My head's gettin' heavy
Pressed against your arm
I adore you
-
“No, dude, I don’t wanna go. Besides, we were supposed to practice tonight.”
“We practice plenty, Gareth, we’re fucking great.” Eddie says, as if it’s the most obvious ‘duh’ statement ever said.
Jeff walks back into the room where they were hanging out.
“What do you say, practice or party?” Eddie asks the boy, who looks confused.
“Uh, I think we should just practice. You know, like we usually do.” He stammers, looking between Gareth and Eddie who both wanted him to side with them.
“Yeah? I heard Y/N is gonna be there.” Eddie offers, and Gareth’s heart drops into his stomach.
“And her friend too? The hot one?”
“Yep.” He nods.
“Party.” Jeff decides immediately.
“God damn it, fine, but only to get out of being forced to babysit while my parents go on some gross date.”
-
“You know me, right? Like, do you know me at all?” You ask, laying on your bed while your best friend applies lipgloss in your mirror.
“I do, and you’re lovely, but you’ve gotta come out of your shell.”
It had been almost a year since you got here, and you had a small group of friends. She was definitely the best, even though she sometimes pushed your boundaries. Your best friend is a popular girl, one who sort of took you under her wing from the beginning.
“This,” you gesture broadly at your bedroom, “is my shell. And I like it in here.”
“What if I told you I got the host to invite the freaks?” She smiles convincingly, wiggling her eyebrows.
Gareth. That meant Gareth.
“W-wha- why would that change anything?”
“You can mingle with them, they’re pretty awkward too, and I know about your crush on the drummer kid.”
“Okay so first, I’m not awkward, you’re insulting me. Second….”
You trail off.
“Thinking about him? The fluffy hair and the red shirt with the arms cut off?”
“Fuck.” You sigh. “Fine.”
“There we go. I did you a favor. Let’s find you something to wear and get a little makeup on you.” She turns to you and starts picturing your look. She goes to look through your closet, which feels weirdly personal for some reason.
You end up in a dress you’ve never worn that she promises is sexy but feels all too exposing, with mascara applied and vanilla gloss on your lips. Then, it’s a waiting game, counting down til it’s time to go.
-
“Ooh, I see some of my good friends. I’m gonna run over to see them. I’ll be right back.”
“You’re just abandoning me? You can’t just leave me.” You whisper-shout.
“You’ll be okay. Drink, it’ll help you have fun.”
You sigh and go to the kitchen, getting an alcoholic beverage that tasted like kool-aid and battery acid. It was strong, whatever it is, getting a buzz going rather quickly and you soon felt a little less intimidated by this whole thing. You take a moment to kind of just sit back, and watch.
-
“Oh, shit, they’re already here. That’s her car.” Jeff comments excitedly, pointing at your friend’s shiny blue sedan.
Gareth shuts his car door, putting his keys in his pocket and joining his two friends to walk into the party together. He decided to drive himself because he knew he’d probably end up wanting to leave early, Eddie and Jeff rode in Eddie’s van.
“Oh, god.” Gareth groans quietly. His stomach is full of dancing butterflies and his chest is all of a sudden pounding. He definitely should’ve smoked a joint before this, or something. Anything.
They get to the door, the long dark haired boy clutches the handle of a beat-up old tin lunch box.
“I’m gonna start finding customers, you two do whatever but nothing weird enough to get us kicked out of here.” Eddie pats both of them on the shoulder and disappears.
“We should drink, right?” Jeff asks uncomfortably. There were a lot of people.
“Right. Definitely.”
They both head to where a group of people were congregated, some of them giving dirty looks and disapproving frowns. The crowd dispersed, and the stared at two options: shitty cans of beer, or a giant tub of mystery liquid that everyone is dumping there solo cups in. That can’t be sanitary.
Gareth gives him a look when he reaches for a cup.
“What? It’s better than beer.” He defends.
“Hard pass.” Gareth shouts, grabbing a beer and popping the tab. He takes his first sip and nearly chokes on it when he sees you just then. Across the kitchen, sipping on your drink, you looked beautiful.
Little black dress but with converse instead of flats or heels, hair straightened and flowing, lips glistening while you try not to bite them. You lock eyes with Gareth, you both looked a little overwhelmed and scared so you decide to just come up to him. What’s the worst that could happen?
“Y/N, hi,” he blurted out, and you smiled. Already tipsy.
“Hi. Are you having fun?” You ask, knowing the answer.
“Well, I-“
“Hey Y/N, where’s your friend, the hot one?” Jeff asks loudly, and Gareth punches him hard in the shoulder.
“I’m sorry for him, he doesn’t usually drink.” Gareth explains. “Stop interrupting people and being an asshat.” He says the second part to his friend.
“Fine, I’m just gonna go find Eddie. He’s not such a buzzkill.”
He walks off, not seeing Gareth roll his eyes.
“Do you wanna… hang out?”
“Yeah, yeah, of course.”
“I came with my friend but she left me.” You gesture to the space around you.
“I know how that feels.” He takes a big swig of his beer.
“Do you smoke? I’m dyin’ to get some fresh air.”
“Uh, only socially.” He lies. He doesn’t smoke cigarettes, but you don’t really know that so it sounds convincing.
“Well let’s go be social outside.” You giggle, pulling his wrist.
You both end up at an outdoor patio table, you sit down and take out two cigarettes and your lighter from your bag. You light yours, but he doesn’t, placing it behind his ear instead.
“I’ll save it for later.” He explains.
While he watches you, he sees that you’re slightly shivering and shifting around awkwardly.
“You don’t usually dress like that. It’s pretty, but it’s not you.” He comments, looking at your dress.
He sees me, he looks at me enough to know how I dress.
You remain calm, casual, smooth, despite your thoughts.
“You are very right. It was not my outfit of choice, trust me.” You laugh. His gaze lingers for a moment too long and becomes a stare, eyes practically boring a hole in your body. You take the last hit and toss your cigarette butt onto the pavement, standing up.
“Back inside?” You ask, and he nods, cheeks tinged pink.
You finally finish the last bit of drink that was in your cup, swallowing it quickly due to the taste.
“You want me to take that? I’m out too.” He offers.
“Yes, please.”
“Okay.” He nods and walks to the kitchen with his head down.
You scan the room for your friend, or really, any of your friends. All you see is a bunch of vaguely familiar faces who’ve passed you in the hall.
“I’m back,” Gareth blurts out, suddenly right beside you.
“Jesus, Gare, you scared me.” You laugh, clutching your chest.
The nickname you just applied to him pulls at his heartstrings and makes him almost feel like passing out or perhaps… waking up? This could all just be a good dream. He was spending time with the girl he liked most, the girl he adored and never even dared to compare himself to. You were on another level, out of his league. Beyond.
He has another beer in his hand now, but doesn’t drink it, just to have something to hold.
“Do you wanna dance?” You ask him, grabbing his wrist again. He hesitates.
“I don’t really- I don’t uh…”
“C’mon. Sure you do.”
You pull him to the “dance floor,” which was just a living room. The room was dark with flashing colorful lights and strobes and music filled the atmosphere.
Still tipsy, you start to dance to the music, carefree and getting lost in the moment. He just stands, stunned, watching you. His mouth is ever so slightly parted open as he gazes at you and appreciates the way your body moves. After a few songs, you look to see him still there, same spot you left him in, still.
“Are you okay?” You ask, concerned.
“Oh, yeah, I’m okay. I just don’t dance, like I said.”
“You will with me. Next slow song, you’re dancing with me.” You giggle drunkly. You notice it, too, and decide to set the cup down. Good decision, probably.
“Please.” You add.
A heart meltingly sweet smile spread across his face that he couldn’t help.
“Maybe.”
-
“Okay, so this is like, so simple. Your hands go on my hips, mine go on your shoulders. Yeah?”
“Y-yeah.” He nervously brings his hands to your waist and gently moves them downwards to come to rest at your hips. You draped your arms over his shoulders and just swayed together, in the music.
Everything else was a blur, everything else didn’t even exist, it was just you two. His eyes have a glimmer in them that you can’t really place.
It was want, desire, possibly love. He couldn’t say that out loud, though, couldn’t fully face that fact. For some reason, the time feels right, so you lean in and press your soft lips against his.
He gasps, taking in a sharp breath without meaning to, and you stop. Before you could ask if something was wrong, he reconnected your lips together. Yours tasted of cherry and cigarettes and vanilla, and he filed that away to remember forever.
You were perfect. Your hands move from his shoulders to his face, placing a hand on each cheek and pulling him impossibly closer.
After a while, you begin to remember that you are not actually the only people in the room and the kiss was getting pretty deep.
“You wanna find an empty room?” You bite your lip.
“S-sure.”
You head up the stairs and he follows behind you. Once you find a bedroom rather quickly, you shut yourselves in and lock the door. He presses you up against it, tongue returning back to your mouth, teeth clashing.
It’s so vulgar and so intense that you subconsciously start to moan into the kiss, lightly. The situation and the sounds you were making were gonna drive him insane, he was so turned on it almost hurt but he just wanted to kiss you for as long as possible in case this never happens again.
“C’mon, the door is locked.” You remind him, moving to the bed. You plop down, laying flat on the mattress, and you spread open your legs when he approaches. You wanted it now, you needed it now. Straight to the point, bold.
“Jesus Christ.”
He looks away, like he’s seeing something he’s not allowed to be looking at, but returns his gaze to you once he shakes the awe off. He comes to slot himself between your legs, dress riding up to your hips and exposing your green lace panties completely to him.
You squirm as he stares, silently begging him to do something. You try to pull him by the shirt on top of you, but he doesn’t quite let you.
“Wait.”
“What?” You ask, clueless and a little frustrated.
“I can’t do this, I’m sorry.”
You just blink, tears stinging in your eyes.
“Why not?” You ask, voice breaking. You really fucking liked him and he was standing in front of you, rejecting you.
“No no, I didn’t mean it like that. I want to. It’s just… the situation.”
You tilt your head to the side like a confused puppy.
“You’re drunk, are you not?”
“Well yeah, a little..”
“It’s just- this would be my first…. time. If it’s gonna happen, it has to be different, better. Not drunk, not impulsive, not in a stranger’s bedroom.”
“Your first…” you trail off, an “oh” expression forming once you put the pieces together.
“It’s okay. We can just.. we can just go back to what we were doing.” You pull your dress back down, standing up, and a sniffle escapes.
“Did you really want to? Me? If I hurt your feelings, I didn’t-“
“It’s okay, Gare. I guess not.”
You leave the room quickly, embarrassed. You felt guilty for getting upset that he didn’t want to have sex with you. That was shitty, but you just couldn’t help but take it to heart a little. You weren’t special enough.
“Shit, shit, shit.” Gareth says to himself. He feels he just fucked up a once in a lifetime chance. If he left it like this, you were likely to never speak again.
You go back out to the table by yourself, pulling out and lighting a cigarette between your lips. Once you finished it, you were gonna go in and try to find your friend to tell her you wanted to leave.
In case she says no, that she doesn’t want to leave just yet, you try to think of someone else who could come pick you up and bring you home.
“Hey.” The sounds of footsteps come from behind you and the fluffy haired boy sat down near you.
You didn’t respond, just looked at him and took a drag of your cigarette.
“If you want me to go away, I will, I just wanted to try and explain.”
You just nod, slowly.
“I’m really putting myself out there by saying this and may regret saying it but I like you a lot. Since the day I saw you, the day you showed up at our school. You were wearing those same converses.” You look down at your feet and back up at him.
“And this has been the best night of my life, I got to fucking kiss you and that’s far more than I ever expected. It was amazing and I loved every second, I just don’t want you to have sex with me because you’re drunk and you think you like me tonight. I just didn’t want it to mean nothing to you.”
Silence fills the air besides crickets and the muffled music.
“I like you too, dumbass. Yes, since that day too.”
“Oh. Wait, are you being serious?”
“Yes, I am. Why would I lie?”
“I don’t know, I just- you’re beautiful and I’m me and it doesn’t make sense.”
“So what’s the point? What are you saying?” You shrug, emotionally numb and becoming closed off from him.
“I’m saying… god, don’t make me say it out loud.”
“You wanna fuck me after all?” You guess.
He blushes.
“I do. I really do, but I want you to be sober. Can you give it a couple hours?”
You nod, starting to understand. You sort of made a big deal out of nothing.
“A couple of hours at my house, maybe? I honestly don’t want to be here anymore.”
“Uh, sure. You’ll just have to give me directions on the way.” You smile at each other and stand up, walking to his car. He doesn’t think about his friends or how he’s leaving them behind, that doesn’t matter.
You hop into the passengers seat and he mentally curses himself for not opening the door for you. You happily tell him all the right turns to make to get to your house.
-
You pull up to the house, and he turns the car off. He follows you as you fumble for your house key and unlock the door, then leading him to your bedroom.
“It’s uh, it’s messy. My friend made me try a bunch of different outfits before this.” You gesture to the clothing piles in the floor as you set your stuff down onto your bed.
“If you think this is messy, I definitely shouldn’t let you see MY room.” He laughs. “Nobody’s here. Isn’t it scary to be all alone at night?”
“Eh. Sometimes. I’m used to it, though. Do you want something to eat?”
“Yeah, sure.” He agrees.
You both head to your kitchen and you find some pizza in the fridge. You show it to him as if to say ‘this good?’ And he shrugs, so you heat it up.
“You can go sit down, I’ll bring you yours.”
He walks over to the couch, sitting, really relishing in the silence.
When you come to join him, you notice it more than you usually would, so you suggest turning on the tv for some sound. It was kind of spooky, now that you think about it. Too quiet.
You watch a movie and eat your pizza, making comments and laughing at all the super corny and cheesy parts. During the last half of the movie, you had your head leaned on his shoulder and he gently played with your hair.
With food in your stomach, you felt back to normal again, albeit just a little sleepy.
“So… my bed is okay?” You say once the credits finish rolling.
“Wha- how are you still fucked up?” He looks flabbergasted.
“I’m not. I’m completely sober, and yes, I still want you.” You say, seriously.
He’s surprised for some reason, expecting your feelings for him to dissipate magically once you were back to your normal self.
“Shit, yes, your bed is good.” He agrees, quickly.
You giggle and run down the hall to your room and he dumbly follows, closing your door for no reason other than to feel private even though there was nobody else around.
You take his face in your hands, pulling him in to kiss you. You run your tongue along his lips, silently asking for permission and being granted it.
It gets heavy quickly, just like before, and you both move closer and closer to your bed until he practically pushes you down on to it, climbing on top of you.
You spread your legs open again for him, and this time he doesn’t panic. He presses against your core with his jean-clad boner and it makes you whimper needily.
“Fuck,” he says into your mouth. “You sound so pretty.”
You push the straps of your dress off of your shoulders, trying to help him get you undressed. He reaches behind you and unzips it slowly and then pushes it down off your body. You’re left in your bra and panties, vulnerable under his gaze as he marvels at your beauty.
“I-I can’t tell if you’re staring at me in a good or a bad way,” you chuckle lightly, waiting for words from him.
“So good. It’s so good. I just- holy shit.”
“You can touch me, you know, if you want to.”
He touches your stomach first, canvassing the warm skin of your hips and abdomen, snaking around to your waist. You let him explore, but when he slows down, you take his hands in yours and guide them to your breasts, squeezing his hand beneath yours.
He gets enough confidence to continue on his own, and you let your hands fall away as he takes generous handfuls and squeezes, groping you just right. Your lower half tries to seek out any feeling, rubbing your pantied cunt up against his harder than ever cock through his jeans.
His breathing is heavy, hard. Intense. He was feeling so many things that he didn’t know what he’d even say if he were to speak right now.
“Take them off, we can make each other feel so good. Please.” You beg him, looking up into his eyes. His eyes lock with yours and he melts, submitting to whatever you could possibly ask of him.
His hands leave your body to take the clothes off his own. He gets his jeans off, and he has a huge tent in his boxers, which you gaze upon subtly.
“Shirt, too, or…?” He asks, unconfidently.
“Whatever you’re comfortable taking off.”
“Okay.” He takes his layers off, leaving on the plain white wife beater he was wearing beneath his shirt and jacket.
“So handsome.” You compliment, genuinely. This is the most you’d ever seen of him and he was so, so lovely.
“Stop it.” He blushes, not knowing what to say to that, trying to brush it off.
You reach between your legs to touch yourself while you looked at him, shamelessly staring.
“God, that needy?” He asks jokingly. His attempt at cracking a joke did not land in this situation, and you answered him seriously.
“Mhm. Need your cock, need it now.”
“Jesus fucking Christ.” He groans at your vulgar words towards him.
“Please. Whenever you’re ready, please.” You whine, still rubbing circles over your clit.
“Can I turn the light off?” He asks suddenly. It felt a little too intense, he felt self conscious to an extent in that moment.
“Mhm. Whatever you want. I’ll just turn the lamp on instead.”
He gets up to flick the light switch and you reach to your bedside table to pull the string on your lamp, turning it on and providing a nice sun glow.
“Better?” You ask, and he nods.
His hands return to your tits and you take it upon yourself to remove your bra, the barrier. Your nipples pebbled when the cool air hit them and he gently runs his fingers over them, pinching ever so slightly.
He seems to find a fascination with your tits, and you encourage him to explore them with his mouth as well. He kisses your collarbones, all over your chest, between your tits, the top of your tits, then finally takes a nipple into his mouth.
“Ah, fuck, Gare. Your mouth is so fucking good.”
This only encouraged him to lick and such harder, almost forgetting to give attention to the other breast as well.
This wasn’t all about you, you reminded yourself. You just whine beneath him while he has his fun, and you know that your panties are beyond soaking at this point.
You hook your fingers in them and wiggle them off, because they don’t really serve any purpose. You buck your hips up against his, trying to grind against him wherever you can. He eventually noticed your desperation but still seemed a bit nervous about this next part.
Regardless, he pushes his boxers down and off, climbing on top of you. He jumps straight to pressing the tip of his leaking pink cock right against your entrance.
“I’m so wet for you, it’s all for you. Such a good fucking boy.” You moan.
He groans in response, that last part ignited something deep inside him that he decided he would unpack later.
“Can I put it in? You ready?”
“Yes, please.”
“Shit, alright.”
He applies more pressure, tip slipping inside first.
“Oh, god. Oh, shit.”
More. He pushes in even further, sinking into you with no resistance.
“Fuck fuck fuck.”
He was overwhelmed, but in the best possible way. A way he never could’ve imagined feeling. You didn’t get a good look at his cock, but it was big. You knew that. You stretched more with each inch you took, pussy swallowing and sucking him in.
“So big, Gare, feels so good. Mmh, feels so fucking good.”
His head falls forward to rest on your shoulder, and he keeps up his movements, bottoming out and groaning out loudly once he does.
You moan even a little louder than him, knowing nobody’s home gives you the opportunity to do that. Your noises and your words of praise were killing him, he wanted to be good for you forever. A good boy.
He fucks you still with his head buried into where your neck and shoulder meet before finally bringing it back up so you could see his face. His hair was crazier than ever and a couple of strands of hair stick to his forehead with sweat.
He feels it coming, rapidly approaching, but doesn’t want to underwhelm you. You notice his thrusts soon become faulty and haphazard as he tried to restrain himself, but you granted him relief. You didn’t want him to struggle.
“You can let go, sweet boy. Want you to cum.”
In a few more thrusts, he does, and you feel it painting your walls and his cock pulsing against them.
“Fuck.” He couldn’t hold it any longer,
He keeps lazily fucking into you until he’s completely milked, finally pulling out and laying down beside you.
Once he finally catches his breath, he realizes something.
“I didn’t make you- you were supposed to-“ he turns to look at you, worried. You had already climbed under the sheets, covering your body with them and laying down.
“Don’t worry about me right now. It was amazing, no matter if I finished or not. Was it good for you?”
“There’s no way you’re seriously asking me that.” He says incredulously.
“Just wanted to make sure,” you shrugged, “you know what you can do for me though?”
“What?”
“Cuddle.”
You open your arms and reach them out, giving grabby hands. He smiled and climbed beneath the covers with you, taking your naked body in his arms and holding it, close and tight.
After a while, he breaks the silence, overthinking.
“Are you just trying to make me feel better? I mean, was it actually any good? I can take the truth, and I wanna know how I did.”
You giggle.
“Do you want me to be blunt, Gare?”
“Definitely. I think so, at least.”
“You were very good, and at times, I wondered if you really hadn’t done anything before.” You start, “So good that it made me question your supposed lack of experience. Are you happy with that?”
He nods, blushing, and he hates that he’s blushing.
“But I still didn’t…”
“You’re so sweet. If you want to make it even that badly, I can teach you some things. Not now, though, but someday.”
“There’ll be a someday?” He asked, a little child-like excitement in his voice.
“Yes, there will be, if you want there to be.” You smile. “Special enough?”
“Absolutely. God, I’m so lucky.”

What is your headcannon for Amy's family if you don't mind me asking?
omg thank you for taking an interest in those tags i made!! but also im crying because i typed up a whole response to this only for my screen to freeze and delete everything i had written
Tumblr media
but anyway
i cover it a little in my fic if the glove fits, but my hc is that amy's parents severely neglected her at a young age (this taking place before the events of sonic cd) to the point of rarely coming home. neighbors eventually realized what was going on and reached out to amy's grandmother, who amy was sent to go live with until she passed around the time leading up to sonic cd (which i also hc being the reason amy became so attached to sonic tails and later knuckles as quickly as she did)
i know a common theory is that a majority of sonic's friends are orphans hence the way they live, but i think amy being a case where her parents Are alive but choose to be uninvolved just... i dunno. it clicks for me as someone who has experienced it + its repercussions growing up. i see a lot of familiar feelings of frustration and loneliness in her sonic x characterization (which made her my go to favorite as a kid LOL). but also? i think it just fits well with the whole "ditching amy" schtick previous sonic media was on.
basically. i don't think sonic tails or knuckles have any personal experience with actively being abandoned like amy. we know about knuckles, but as for sonic & tails in the game canon there's like... nothing about their families. they're most likely all gone, and while the circumstances behind that can be picked apart and mulled over another time the bottom line is that i don't think any of them at one point stopped to consider what running off without amy might be implying. they've never had to consider a perspective like hers before. and for amy, it's something she doesn't want to talk about for obvious and personal reasons.
BUT! amy eventually does talk to them about it. maybe not in full personal detail, but she does tell them how being left behind really makes her feel. conversations are had. behaviors are adjusted. i like to think this is why tails especially has been going out of his way to always include amy and invite her along in recent sonic media! that's his sister she isn't allowed to feel sad on his watch.
also also amy has no interest in looking for her parents or finding anything out about their lives after she left. she has her own family now and she's the happiest she's ever been :)

Top 5 parents? (in Buffy and/or Angel)
(Top 5 anything.)
Hmm.  I'm not sure there are as many as five unambiguously good parents in Buffy.  But, uh, let's see.
5) Joyce Summers [from Season 1's Welcome To The Hellmouth until ... well, you know.]
Cons: Famously doesn't react well to finding out that her only daughter is metaphorically bisexual.
Pros: Reacts a lot better to finding out her other daughter is metaphorically adopted.  Did lie to the police for Buffy at least once, and used an ax to protect her from a vampire.  Brought Buffy a nice dress to fight the Master in, and later bonded over a mutual dislike of Principal Snyder.
I've said before -- and will continue to say -- that I think Joyce is treated very unfairly by the fandom (particularly compared to how the fandom talks about Giles, who you'll note is not on this list for any number of reasons).  That said, while I think the show is actually very consistent about the fact that Buffy loves her mother and wants her mother's approval (it's not an inconsistency just because you personally don't like Joyce!), it's pretty inarguable that Joyce does and says a number of terrible things.  Which if she were a real person would matter a lot more than it actually does.
Ultimately, I think Joyce Summers tried to march in the Slayer Pride parade but did a pretty lousy job of it. Even when she wasn't being possessed or magically mind-controlled by a demon or a warlock or an evil robot (which … happens a lot, doesn’t it?).  The fact she's on this list at all is more of an indictment of the other options than it is an endorsement of her as a parent.
(Obviously I'm ignoring the big Normal Again retcon here, which I just don't think makes sense with what we see of Buffy and Joyce in the first five seasons of the show.  But yeah, if I accepted that as canon obviously Joyce wouldn't be anywhere near the list, even by Sunnydale's abysmally low standards.)
4) Amy Madison's dad [from Season 1's Witch]
Cons: Left his pre-teen daughter to be raised by a abusive mother who would go on to learn witchcraft and steal her daughter's body using evil magic. Never actually appeared on screen in the show.  Or given a name.
Pros: Don't think he knew about the witch part.  Definitely guilty about the whole thing afterwards anyway.  Amy seems pretty happy that he's back in her life at the end of the episode. Not involved in the whole witch-burning thing in Gingerbread, for some reason (well, okay, it’s because nobody bothered to cast an actor to play him or even remembered that Amy had a father, I guess).
A deleted scene from Season 6 suggests Amy's dad goes back to being a terrible parent later on, and even ignoring that he is kind of conspicuous by his absence after this one episode.  Letting your teenage daughter eat brownies whenever she wants: good parenting!  Letting your teenage daughter visit magical crack dens whenever she wants: significantly less good parenting!
3) Oz's Aunt Maureen [from Season 2's Phases]
Cons: Literally only exists on the show for a single five second phone call where we don't hear her or see her on screen.
Pros: Seems pretty relaxed about the fact that her son is a werewolf (that's not a pro for Oz, sure, but hey, we're not ranking how good an aunt she is).  Trumps Amy's dad by virtue of having a name.
I hope things worked out okay for little Jordy and the many, many werewolves he unwittingly sired by biting people when he was a kid.
2) Buffy Summers [from Season 5's Forever onwards]
Look, she's Dawn legal guardian, so she counts.
Cons: Not as good with Dawn's social worker as a literal sex robot was. Tried to kill Dawn one time when she was possessed (... hey, I guess at least Joyce would be proud?).  Managed to miss the fact Dawn was skipping school … and dating a vampire … and stealing from the magic shop.  (She had a difficult year, okay?)
Pros: Made up for the social worker stuff by ... uh, turning invisible and ruining said social worker's life.  Literally died to protect Dawn from being murdered by a god in Season 5. Then worked incredibly hard for two years to protect Dawn from an even more terrible fate (having to go back to LA to live with Hank Summers).
For somebody who was terrified by the thought of becoming her mother (whether played for laughs as in Season 2's Bad Eggs, or for real in Season 5), I think Buffy does a pretty good job with Dawn.
1) Nikki Wood [first seen in Season 5's Fool For Love flashbacks]
Cons: None.
Pros: She's perfect.
Lies My Parents Told Me can fuck right off.

runaway, run run away, run toward
also here on ao3
----------
Warlock is is five years old the first time he runs away from home.
He’s been having the worst day ever. First, he didn’t get a snack during snack time because his teacher ran out. Then, his best friend Miles played with stupid Amy Miller during playtime instead of him (even though he’s so much cooler than she is). And then he got home to find that his mom hired a nanny to take care of him. A nanny!
Warlock knows all about nannies. Christa Jenkins has a nanny; she’s a weird, old lady her parents hired because they didn’t want to take care of Christa, anymore. So now the nanny brings Christa to school and picks her up in the afternoons, and Warlock sees them in the park on Saturdays; always together, and never with Christa’s mom and dad. Christa says her mom and dad don’t even talk to her, anymore; she only has her nanny.
Well, Warlock’s not going to stand for that. If his parents really don’t want him around, if they’d rather hire someone to take care of him than doing it themselves, well then Warlock will fix that. He’ll run away from home and take care of himself; he’s five years old, that’s practically a grown-up, and they’ll miss him when he’s gone.
(“If only we’d loved our son!” they’ll cry. “If only we hadn’t hired that stupid nanny like Christa Jenkins’ stupid parents!”)
Yeah, they’ll be sorry when he runs away.
So Warlock pulls his suitcase out from the back of the closet and stuffs it full of his favorite toys. Then, thinking for a minute, he pulls out a couple of the toys and replaces them with a pair of shoes and his favorite bedtime book. He can’t read it by himself yet, but maybe he’ll find someone to read it to him.
(But not his mom, because she obviously doesn’t want to anymore, or she wouldn’t have hired that stupid nanny in the first place.)
He also packs his toothbrush - because teeth are very important - and three of the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies sitting on the kitchen counter. His stomach rumbles when he smells them, and it’s hard not to eat them right there in the kitchen.
Then, he takes one last look around the house to remember what it looks like, goes to the front door, and slips outside. He wants to slam the door as he leaves, but a) someone would hear and stop him, and b) it’s a pretty heavy door and he can barely close it the normal way.
The sun is setting as he walks down the long driveway to the road. It gets darker and darker the longer he walks, but he keeps going. He’s a big boy; he doesn’t need to turn around.
There’s something following him down the street - a big, black snake slithering silently through the bushes of the lawns next to the sidewalk. He’s not afraid of snakes, not like stupid Amy Miller, but this is a really big snake. He thinks it might even be bigger than his dad, and his dad is the tallest guy Warlock knows.
He’s pretty sure it’s not poisonous though, because his teacher brought in a reptile epx - exserp - reptile person to teach them a science lesson and she taught them a poem about red, and black, and some guy named Jack. He doesn’t remember the whole rhyme - he and Miles had been trying to figure out if they could sneak one of the small snakes into Amy Miller’s desk - but he thinks he’s safe. Maybe.
The snake is watching him as he walks down the sidewalk, bright yellow eyes shining even as the air around them gets darker and darker. Soon, those eyes are the only things he can see. Warlock’s not afraid of the dark just like he’s not afraid of snakes, but it’s really, really dark out. When he realizes just how dark it is, and how far away from home he must be, he sniffles just a little bit as he tries not to cry.
Suddenly the snake isn’t underneath the bushes anymore, it’s in the middle of the sidewalk, blocking his way. He can’t step around it because it’s stretched across the entire sidewalk and he’s not supposed to go out into the street. He can’t step over it because it’s really, really big. He’s stuck.
The snake is staring at him, the look in its yellow eyes reminding him of his teacher when she thinks he’s being ridiculous. Then, the snake looks away to stare behind him into the dark, back the way he came.
“I’m not going back there,” he says to the snake. “I don’t want some stupid nanny. I have to run away.”
The snake looks at him again, and then behind, a pretty clear ‘go home’. Warlock shakes his head.
“I can’t,” he protests. “My mom and dad don’t love me anymore, that’s why they hired that stupid nanny. And she won’t love me either. No one loves me.”
The snake slithers forward to wrap its huge coils gently around his legs. It winds its way up his body until it can rest its giant head on his shoulder. It feels like a hug.
“No one loves me,” Warlock repeats, his voice wobbling.
Tears fill his eyes and he doesn’t try to keep them from falling. Mom and Dad don’t like it when he cries, but they’re not here now. The snake is here, and the snake doesn’t care if he cries.
He wraps his arms around the snake’s body, holds on tight, and bawls his eyes out. He cries and cries like he’s not allowed to at home. He cries until he’s all hollow inside.
And then he opens his eyes to find himself standing in the middle of his bedroom.
The snake slowly unwinds from around his legs, slithering away to curl up on the carpet. Warlock opens his mouth, but before he can say anything, the snake is glowing. For a second, the snake is light and dark and wings as big as the entire house. Then the snake is gone, and a woman in a stark suit and sunglasses is standing there, staring down at him. She takes off the sunglasses to let Warlock see those bright yellow snake’s eyes.
“My name is Nanny Ashtoreth,” she says, quietly. “And I do love you, my little hellion.”
“Hi,” Warlock whispers.
“Hello,” Nanny echoes, with a gentle smile. “Now, what do you say to going to sleep?”
Warlock pulls his backpack off, digging around to find his bedtime book. “Story?”
Nanny takes the book from him without comment.
Warlock listens to her voice as she reads, his eyes growing heavier and heavier with each word. Before darkness takes him, he fees a gentle press of lips against his forehead.
“I love you,” Nanny whispers, and Warlock smiles his way into sleep.

(Bc I’ve been going through it)
Whatever you do… don’t picture Rhett helping you with postpartum and reassuring you that everything’s gonna be okay and checking in with you using the phrase
“Do you need a break?”
“No I’m okay”
“For your own safety are you sure”
(My wife and I just had our first and that’s the check in system we use)
I hope all is better! Postpartum can be the most beautiful and terrifying thing all at once. I hope you and your wife are doing better:) (ps. . .send updates cause I love getting updates. If you want, no pressure:)
--- --- ---
When Rhett found out he was going to be a father, he was terrified. He didn't know the first thing about being a good dad. Sure, Royal was around and taught Rhett how to tie his shoes and ride a horse, but that was about it.
Royal was a mean drunk and was always harder on Rhett than Perry. And sure, Perry was a good dad now, that Rebecca was gone. He provided for Amy the best he could, but had moments where he would shut down and hide away for days, leaving Amy to fend for herself.
So Rhett hit the books, and the internet finding articles and passages on how he can be a good partner for you during your pregnancy. He didn't understand a lot of it, he never really cared for biology in high school, but did what he could. It surprised you sometimes when you'd be making him breakfast and he'd walk in spouting off some random fact about the baby's gestation.
"Ya know, they are the size of a plum at twelve weeks," He said, reaching up to grab a coffee mug.
"Okay. . . "
"Interesting, ain't it."
Rhett knew that the most important time was the postpartum period. He read that it was the time where you were going to need him the most. The pregnancy itself was easy, you didn't have a lot of morning sickness, or heartburn, or insomnia. Rhett was always there with your favorite cravings and rubbing your feet. He even shaved your legs, which was a whole mission in itself. But when it came time to actually deliver your baby, he was by your side the whole time.
"I don't think I can do this," You cried as you buried your head into his stomach. Rhett stood in front of you and rubbed your back, as you sat on the side of the bed.
"You can do this, sweetheart, I know you can," He lifted your head so you can look at him, "Tell me what you need. Do you need drugs? Do you need to go walk? Do you need a hug?" You chuckled at his words and nodded your head, "A hug? You need a hug?"
"Please," You whimpered and Rhett hugged you tightly.
The birth of your daughter was the worst thing you had ever gone through. It was agonizingly long, having to have pushed for nearly an hour. You could feel with every single push your energy depleting. Rhett hated seeing you in pain, and he tried his hardest to not let you see him cry. You felt relief when your daughter was born, her cry filling the room, and the doctor placing her on your chest.
"Oh my god," Rhett cried, and wiped his cheek, "Look at her. Hi, baby."
"We did it, Rhett," You smiled up at him.
Postpartum had started out somewhat easy. Lucille, aka Lucy was a beautiful little girl, who passed all her newborn tests with flying colors. You and Rhett were able to be discharged the next day. The only thing the doctors were worried about was you. You had torn during labor, causing even more postpartum pain than normal. Rhett had paid close attention to what the midwife said on how to help you heal from it and still care for Lucy.
The three of you had been home for nearly three weeks, slowly adjusting to the life of being a parent. You knew how needy newborns were, you were the only source of comfort, and nutrients for her. At first you liked it, you liked knowing that you had to be there for her every time she cried, and that she was in search of you. But you were starting to grow tired, your body was still healing and working in overdrive trying to adapt to no longer growing a baby inside of you.
You groaned as you heard Lucy's cries from across the room. The sun wasn't even up yet, but was starting to break across the horizon. Rhett was up early, trying to get the feeding done before Lucy would wake up. He had gotten good these past couple weeks at judging her schedule, so he could still get things done on the ranch and be there for the two of you. Royal, Perry and even Cecilia had helped fill in the void of Rhett being gone.
You pushed yourself up slowly from the comfort of your bed. Your lower half was still sore, the healing from birth was taking longer than you thought. You expected yourself to bounce back within a couple days.
"It's okay, Lucy," You cooed as you reached the basinet slowly. You picked her up and shushed her. You walked down to the nursery, and sat down in the rocking chair so you could feed her. Lucy was good at feeding, she had latched on quickly at the hospital which led to a comment from Rhett and an eye roll from you.
Lucy's crying ceased for the moment, but the second she was done feeding, the cries started back up again. You walked around the living room, trying to get her to calm down and back to sleep.
Rhett took his boots off outside, so he didn't track in the house. He knew how much you hated mud and if you could have it your way, he would totally shower outside before coming in. Pushing the door open, his heart broke at the sound of his little girl's cries. IT had only been three weeks, but he hated hearing her cry.
"Lucy girl, come on, you're feed and changed," You said, bouncing her slightly as you walked and looked over at Rhett.
"Hey mama," He said and walked over to the two of you, “Do you need a break?”
“No I’m okay," You answer, shaking your head. But Rhett could see it in your eyes. You were tired, no matter how much you tried to fight and tell him that you weren't, you were exhausted.
“For your own safety, are you sure?" He asked again. You sighed and shook your head, "What can I do?"
"Can you put her down?" You asked, "I really need to pump and I can't do that when she's crying like this."
"Of course, sweetheart," Rhett said. He undid the buttons of his flannel, leaving him in just the white Henley underneath. He gently picked up the little girl from your arms and held her against his chest. Lucy still wailed and Rhett walked over to the coffee table and picked up one of her pacifiers.
"I'll be back in like 10 minutes," You said.
"Take all the time you need," Rhett said and kissed your cheek, "We're gonna go outside."
"Okay, please put her sun hat on."
"I got it, mama," Rhett assured you with a smile, "Go pump and take a nap. I got this." You nodded and kissed him, before going back upstairs to your shared bedroom. Rhett did what you said before going outside with Lucy. He sat on the porch swing and held her against his chest.

Capricorn ♑️ moon 🪷🪐🤓🖖🏻🐐
Going into the moon signs again and here we come to Capricorn man which is in detriment when I sign is in detriment it’s not so comfortable here unlike full. It’s not the hardest placement but it’s still harvest some quite uncomfortable feelings so let’s get into that, cancer, being the opposite side to Capricorn, good at expressing emotion on the whole, Capricorn, rules, structure, hard work, social status. It certainly doesn’t rule emotion let’s be real so then let’s talk about the relationship with Capricorn moons and their mother.
As a Capricorn moon, your mother may have shown traits of a Capricorn.
she may have been hard-working, statuses could’ve been very money orientated, loyal, witty, patient, reliable, cautious, practical, charming, ambitious, strong world, independent, determined, resourceful, ambitious, tenacious organised on the dark side. End of this, your mother may have been emotionally, detached, selfish, critical, aloof, Maverick, naive, and eccentric, cynical , egotistical, plodding, loners, pessimistic, cautious, cheap melancholy, rarely satisfied, .
So let’s be straight with this. A lot of Capricorn moons are going to have the latter half maybe unless there’s other aspects in your chart such as Venus and 10 house placements and the 10th, possibly which would heighten the fact with your mother. whereas in the fifth house, in the fifth house, may make a better relation with the father because of fifth house rules. Leo that being the son also, and here’s a perfect example of this my mother, she’s a Capricorn moon. Her mother is a cancer. She’s an Aquarius. Her father is a Capricorn and she’s a Capricorn stallion. He he easy all that works and her mum is in the 10th house , so let’s just say Saturn is the planet of lessons, it’s the planet of when the Saturn return happens which is in Capricorn, so a cap rising a cap stellium ,Saturn in Capricorn. Thing with Capricorns as well as they often feel like the parent., almost like a Virgo, but without the talking, especially if you like my mum and you have a water sign parent or should you not say compatible with moving opposition in someway in your birth chart it’s going to be really difficult for you to feel close to your mother, I mean there’s plenty of Capricorn men. I’m sure out there who have good relationship with their mother because they could be the first half of what I put in the top of this page where their mother showed them about hard work, their mother showed them, but this is the way to do it. The moon could’ve been balanced out it’s just the parents gonna show the traits of your main sign. That’s why I was thinking like okay there’s five children and they’ve all got a different moon sign it’s gonna represent how they see their mother. so here we have Johnny Depp at the time of his court case. I found it funny and I felt disgusted at myself now because it discredited BPD which I suffer from anyway, Mr dep had a not so good relationship with his mother. find a meaning she was never proud of him. This could be the Saturn and Capricorn expectations being skyhigh of their children and not to ever being ever living up to the expectation of the Capricorn moon parent., I feel Johnny Depp never felt loved by his mother in the way that he wanted to be loved. which is sad, because YoungBoy dap wanted to just be loved by his in the ways that she could not express another example of this, another example of this is Amy Winehouse and her mother, in the documentary, both Amy and her mother say that she could walk all over her, and that she’d have to call in Cynthia, which is Amy‘s paternal grandmother because she would’ve just walked all over her, so she had a lot of halfway maybe the dad was more dominant for Amy, which would be her dominant planet being mercury in Virgo her dad being a mutable sign, although I’m not too sure of what Amy‘s mum is and I will keep looking. It seems the father was a lot more dominant parent but Amy was able to run wire because much similar to Nancy spudgen. He was also young Jewish girl, they may have needed authority of an older in the family and older lady. and then as far as I’m by Freddie Mercury, although gay man which is a different relationship with the mum I mean I’d love to have a gay son. Personally he loved his mum. I think he suffered more of his dad so you see that have the Capricorn moons it’s either going to be mother or father, or it’s going to be a generational thing where everybody gets involved and like I said with my mother he’s another prime example the grandparents constantly got involved and although I said about things with property my Nan my mum‘s mum rented a property off her parents which was beautiful and my mum told me that she turned the place into an absolute shambles. Bless her, she must’ve suffered with 12 anyway, but also. Hoarding things..
Celebrity examples, : Sarah, Jessica Barker, Reese, Witherspoon, Abraham Lincoln, Pete Davidson, Dwayne Johnson, Amy Winehouse,, Cher , Courtney, Kardashian, Milan, Trump, Matt, Damon, David Beckham, Freddie Mercury, Johnny Depp, Zooey Deschanel, liv Tyler, Jeffree Star and Stevie Nicks , Jennifer, love Hewitt and Emma Roberts.
So with all the examples I gave there you can see which ones had bad relationships with the mother and which one third bad relationships of the father. I mean some of them, you can’t even see their because of the secretiveness that comes with the Capricorn moon not so much secret, but just like they don’t wanna hear my problems we do though, we do wanna hear your problems?
Aquarius moons♒️🌚🥸🤖🦨
The Aquarius man and the relationship with their mother, the synchronies and hardware is having an Aquarius mother or mother with an Aquarian dates. I believe Aquarius has his way of switching things and this is Uranus energy. They can think pink is the best colour and they have loved it the whole life so the next day thinking it’s not the colour for them and won’t even remember saying it that is Aquarius for you, that is who they are.
So, going back to this, your mother may have been friendly, creative, dependable, thoughtful, idealistic, humanitarian, loyal, friend, individualist strong, willed, independent, intellectual, generous, original, tolerant, intuitive and witty among the other, many aquarium traits because they’ve gone through nine other bus before they’re gonna pick up a lot along the way, but I go with the whole modern day and traditional rulership believe in the traditional rulership of Saturn, paying a big part on some aquarium some maybe more Uranus ruled, I believe the ones who are a bit more rigid of Saturn, the ones who are a bit more out there and more Uranus Road, that’s just Leon mind isn’t making it up and making it make sense to me too. To outsiders astrology must look very complicated an air sign being a water carrier, hell no, if they really knew there is no way that Aquarius could be a sign a fixed sign. Yeah a water sign no to the no no no, i’m in, can you imagine an emotional they do however have a massive ego as some people say as big as Leo funny thing as it’s just a different shape is that Uranian shape, mystical and weird and strange, as I get quite offended sometimes singing my like these guys another part of it I’m like I’d love to be like these guys.
Now here comes the part of it of what your mother may have been like, or may have exhibited traits of
Positive qualities, faithful, selfless, systematic initiative, caring, honest, independent, popular amiable, idealistic, creative, trustworthy, intelligent, and altruistic.
Negative traits
Capricious discontented, detached unmanageable, rebel, rebellious, pigheaded, narcissistic, and mal, disrespectful, confused, perverse.
So I know I love to frame my family and her and he’s a good point only because like where one of five each of us, my brother is an Aquarius, moon, mum and dad are Aquarius sons were full siblings. Me and my brother. Our oldest three sisters are half siblings so I don’t know if I said in a place before dad took in charge with Jake my brother and mum took in charge of me, leaving us both disconnected with the other parent, I believe
So I can’t speak from Jake, but I do know him very well and we grew up very close together. Although he bullied me relentlessly he felt like he denied needs to protect dad because my sister slag him off and me me on the other hand, I feel like I need to defend mum to the hills and back my sisters have all had kids we haven’t and they want to do things differently, but mum only tried her best.
So let’s pretend I’m Jake for a moment, he may have felt that mother was attached unmanageable, rebellious, pigheaded, narcissistic, and malicious,.. disrespectful and perverse not so much pervert I don’t think I’d think that of our mum so much, we talk happened in our childhood we’re both Scorpios come on well he’s a Scorpio and I’m a Scorpio man and I think he holds, until he talks to his liaison sister and we get it all out there like mum having an affair dad then going with the sister if this history from what our other sister said, who exaggerates, anyway, I won’t bother you any more of the family drama. Let’s look to some of these celebrities.
Prime example, Britney, Jean Spears, and her evil mother, who, in many ways, I believe, is a lot worse than her father. Jamie, now Lynn wrote a book about Brittany called through the storm and how it was hard growing up with a daughter like that. excuse me, Lynn excuse me, Lynn what was hard about it, you have one child who you were a stupid stage parent with from such a young age you made her go out with all the boys, so she became more popular like what the hell you made your 13-year-old go out of an 18-year-old are you frigging kidding me you want your baby girl, your second born you’re only girl at the time to go through this. Of course she was the middle child. Of course Brittany was the middle child the forgotten child, the one who made all the money, middle child let’s not forget a successful people, I’m saying, successful on an emotional level than, them. Sharon Osborne, once stated that Brittany was staying in this really dirt apartment with her mother in New York, to do I don’t know stage acting singing well Jamie Lynn, Brian and Jamie were all at home. Having a good old time getting drunk. This is what Brittany was out and doing, now in the early days it seems like Brittany had a ball of the time and she did but as a child it sent her that this was normal in her book. She states how what sort girl Jamie was Jamie Lynn, that is too many southern

Pisces moon , 💦♓️🌚🥺🧜🏼‍♀️🧚🏽‍♂️🐠
Pisces man is the last water sign of the zodiac. It is a mutable sign. The last main sign. Although the last sign of the zodiac Pisces are connotations many childlike traits like they’re dreamy eyes. They’re innocent eyes that even in childhood have already seen so much probably most of the time they can’t help it. They were born into this sign. so Pisces, what is Pisces Pisces is, a mutable water sign, so we think mutable water it could be the rain. It could be the rain coming in on a real wet day that moves around so fast, it could be a thunderstorm it has elements of mutable water, see the thing is Pisces represents everything of the zodiac, it is been through every connotation of what is before it, I’m Pisces, sure as hell is that Pisces often portray such a way of innocence about them but guys I know what’s really going on with you, you know a lot more than you try to learn and it ain’t that obvious to a fellow water moon. it kind of is, there’s many types and a real creative outlet for the water moons and specially a Pisces water moon is the music, the arts artist have water sign Pisces in them, prince is a moon, Pisces, Kanye West is a moon and Pisces Elvis Presley, even the sun sign of Pisces have it Justin beiber ,Kurt cobain , Johnny Cash. so you might have had a mother, who is a very creative type , on the positive end of spectrum that means she was very good at making you feel loved. She was extra sensitive, she’saw through every kaleidoscope, and I’m sure she lived through it too many times. Your mum was probably somebody who is kind of strangers would give her friends her last penny, hindering herself, not necessarily a good thing that could be a dark age spectrum thing too, but maybe she wanted to teach you kindness and goodness in the world, it could’ve been very likely that she was raised by somebody who wasn’t as kind and saw the dark side of the world and she didn’t wanna put that onto her children. She wanted to see you the best in the best in humans. and she felt this was the best way in showing you how to do that. You may also have had a mum who was in alternative treatments, such as aromatherapy, holistic therapies, and maybe even witchcraft or paganism or Buddhism, she could’ve also worked in mental health or addiction or an institution where she was able to help people on a daily basis, because it felt like the right thing for her to do, and she was so natural at doing so Expressed it really beautifully. On the darker side of the scale, your mum may have been an addict herself. I’m suffered with addiction, alcoholism, mental health problems, hysteria, what such bipolar schizophrenia, or just being a highly sensitive person, which I expect is true, either way on the diet, dark or like end of the spectrum because Pisces people naturally are in touch with the spirit world, or anybody who has a 12 house, moon or other placements in this house .
Pisces man are often close with their mums. Anyway, they are type of people that will have a home in their parents house well into adult hood. In fact I’ve noticed with people who have Pisces placements in general the grandparents are often involved and might be secondary parents to the actual child or the child’s child, but they definitely have a bedroom in their parents house, way into their 40s and beyond, well let’s say Pisces moon have a mother who might be linked to fame or had a mother who is in the music industry or can sing beautifully or has the creativity, to make music, many many moons ago I did have a Pisces moon a friend I’m not gonna lie it’s not my favourite placement. This person didn’t have many amazing traits but I will say she drunk like a fish and you know how they say Pisces can be liars sometimes well, this one dead she won’t forget about things years ago that didn’t even happen, I told him many times don’t ring me when you’ve been drinking please it’s just one roll I wanna have so what did she do should turn up and when she was drunk so someone who hated alcohol at the time it was not nice. but I will say this she was fun to be around or in short doses she could make you laugh. She could talk your ear off but yeah she could make you laugh. See this is the unknown trait about Pisces is they can talk man and they are books, smart, they are intelligent as anything.
Traits of Pisces moon
Empathetic, sensitive, artistic, deep emotions, whimsical, subjective, idealistic, introspective, indecisive, weak boundaries, powerful intuition traits of the mother and the child, sensitive intuitive, sympathetic, temperamental, compassionate, escapist, thoughtful dramatic dependent, trusting creative, romantic. Oh yeah, these guys love twin flames . The ideal love story, but because they’re a mutable sign like an easily bright blow that up into flames as well . So that’s look at a few celebrity examples
Celebrity examples,
Kim, Kardashian, Kanye West, Sabrina Carpenter, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Obama, Michael Jackson Elvis Presley, Prince Hillary Clinton, Catherine Zita, Jones, Grace Kelly, Robin Williams, Audrey Hepburn, Chavira, Winona Ryder, Cindy Crawford, Kesha, and SZA

My New Who watchthrough has now reached well into the second half of Series 7, and it’s time for some Opinions:
- I’m gay for Clara Oswald already. Also I crackship her with Amy Pond and I will be reading all the fanfic.
- I don’t care for River Song.
- Okay, no, hear me out, River’s an interesting character and I like Alex Kingston, but I can’t stand how her entire character bit is a constant smug-ass “I know something you don’t know”, and her whole arc felt kind of anticlimactic. Also, I don’t buy for a second that she and Eleven have an actual romantic relationship. I don’t see the spark. It’s all offscreen if it happens at all, so I don’t care. Bringing me to…
- Eleven/Amy/Rory OT3 is the superior ship of the Smith years. Platonic found family or romantic messy awkward polyamory, either way they’re very sweet together and I’d rather watch them than River any day. You can also have asexual Eleven in there, which I can really see why people headcanon. I want to call them “ot3: the power of three” but I feel like the threes sound redundant. Oh whatever, I’m calling it, that’s the ship tag I’m using.
- If it wasn’t for the weird Doctor/River romance, you could totally say that River’s Time Lord DNA makes Amy, Rory, and Eleven ALL her parents, and I’m annoyed that canon makes it more than a little weird to consider that headcanon concept, because it could be cute in another world.
- I like the Ponds a lot, but I have to say: Amy and Rory’s ending felt like such an arbitrary “we’re obligated to make the separation from the Doctor permanent, what monster can we use to do that?” ass-pull of a writing choice. In my head, Amy and Rory’s arc ends with them staying on Earth in 2012 at the end of The Power of Three and enjoying the mundane life they built together. Just say the Doctor sends them postcards and visits offscreen once in a while. The characters don’t have to be walled off from the Doctor forever just because the actors never want to come back to the show. I really like the idea of them choosing their own life outside the TARDIS, almost Martha-style. (Gotta love Martha!)
- It feels cheap to take Amy’s kid away and then not bother to give her an emotional arc dealing with that trauma. Same for Rory, for that matter. I bet someone could write or has written some extremely deep fanfic about that. I don’t know that I want to read it but I want it to exist, if that makes sense. And I would’ve liked to see more of it onscreen.
- The episode with the Gunslinger is OOC garbage, the Doctor would never use a gun, learn the show’s lore, Steve.
- So many little “what straight white man did this???” moments in Moffat era. It’s like going on a nice walk and then every once in a while you find yourself walking through a surprise cloud of gnats. (Not that Davies era was completely blameless either but damn.)
- Eleven’s “retirement” and hopeless disillusionment in The Snowmen feels like a flat, rushed, emotionless retread of the far superior arc of Ten going dark and mad with grief and his god complex across his last four specials. Ten did it better.
- Speaking of which, godDAMN the Tenth Doctor’s send off was good. I miss him forever and I need all his audio dramas and tie-in novels yesterday.
- While we’re on that, I have FEELINGS about Tenrose and Tentoorose and how they’re the same exact ship but also two completely different ships, but I’m still tagging them both as “otp: I believe in her” and no one can stop me. (They could have had a house with a mortgage AND still traveled in the TARDIS on weekends, I’m just saying.) (They are PEAK ROMANCE and I’m never recovering.)
- Lotta concrit here but that being said, I really do love Eleven, he’s a sweet adorable lil bean. I’m gonna miss him so much too. Can’t believe I only have a handful of his episodes left! There’s so much good stuff in here, truly. Vincent and the Doctor! The Power of Three! 🥹 I also really liked Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, even though the longer you look at it, the more Problems you see. Those are my standouts off the top of my head.
- We are now well into the era of New Who I’ve never seen any of and know basically nothing about, so no spoilers please!
- I’ve also never seen any of Classic Who, so be aware of that. There’s a lot I don’t know.
- (I already do kind of pre-ship Twelve and River in a totally superficial way, just because, to quote Bones, “they are the exact same level of hotness.” I just think they’d look good together, and sometimes I’m basic like that. I know she has an episode with him, that’s the only thing I know about that era, so we’ll see.)
I’m all-in on this fandom now, for real. And I still have so much to catch up on! So, is it too much of a line to say Allons-y? (I still like it a little better than Geronimo!) 🤗🪐👽

Rewatching RWRB ALREADY?!
Tumblr media
I rewatched the film. And, I can say this for a fact that I liked it a whole lot more the second time around and I already liked it the first time around but watching it for the second time made me appreciate it a whole lot more!
This has never happened in my life, I have never rewatched a movie in a single day! So, RWRB is making my personal history as well.
I remember the director mentioning the fact that Nick or Taylor are in every scene of this movie and they really are! They really carried this film.
Under the cut are all my thoughts that I had while rewatching this movie for the second time. There are spoilers galore. So, you have been warned!
Also, if you make a drinking game out of every time I use the word 'good' you will be dead by the time you reach the end!
With all that out of the way, let's get into it!
"When the revolution happens it will be because of this wedding." Henry's first line in the movie is so underrated!
Cake-gate is AMAZING! I love the fact that Henry pushes Alex down while getting up! Poor guy deserves a little revenge. I had never heard the song ‘Bad Reputation’ before but I'm in love with it!!
Everyone who said Zahra is the BEST thing in this movie is right. I can't get over her railing Alex with a pillow.
“What if I set myself on fire?” Alex is the king of comebacks! “We'd ship the ashes to Heathrow.” But no one is getting one over Zahra.
Taylor as Alex is so good! I can't get over how perfect he is!! Also, I love how Henry is just upstaging Alex in the damage control portion of this movie. Like, Henry's revenge arc is not over yet!!
I feel bad for Alex, every time he tries to one-up someone he just ends up backing himself into the corner.
Okay, the CLOSET SCENE AKA ONE OF THE ONLY SCENES THAT I REMEMBER FROM THE BOOK IS EPIC!!!
The beginning of it with them flailing around is peak physical comedy and then Henry just casually admits to smelling Alex... it's too much and it's only starting.
I just love how Taylor fidgets in this scene, he is like trying to find space for himself so badly but when he turns to confront Henry that moment is so good!
“I need to get out of here.” Ugh, I feel for Henry.
Okay the threat neutralized bit is comedy gold. I hope it becomes a viral meme!
We need to talk about Oscar. There is something very weird about Alex's parents. I feel like the writers of the film were very conflicted about their relationship and instead of having them be together or be divorced, they just left them in limbo. We never see Ellen and Oscar interact in the film. In the one scene, they do appear together, Alex is in the middle and it feels weirdly symbolic like he is literally the thing keeping them together.
We need to talk about this coffee shop scene. We all hate Miguel. But seeing Taylor as Alex in this scene is everything. He comes across as so charismatic and gorgeous. Just look at him!
Tumblr media
We have got to talk about how many strong female role models Alex has in his life – his mom, Amy, Zahra even, Nora.
Tumblr media
Zahra literally puts on a lot of hats in Alex’s life. She is like his big sister, substitute mom and friend and she does all this while looking supremely put out with Alex. This one’s a multitasker.
Tumblr media
This is what I actually want to do in parties!
Henry is so awkward, I love how squeaky he sounds when he first meets Alex at the New Year Eve's party, poor boy is so awkward. And, then when he gets left alone he just completely shuts down. Henry, I love you!
I love how Alex just pulls Henry onto the dance floor.
Henry isn’t even dancing he is just getting progressively more drunk and flustered.
Henry looks so devastated in this scene. I literally feel for him. But, I can’t get over the fact that the song playing in the background is 'Magic' originally sung by Selena Gomez for Wizards of Waverly Place the movie. I loved hearing it here even though they are using a remix in this instance.
Their first kiss is so GOOD! I have seen it umpteenth number of times thanks to the trailer but it hits me in the feels every time. Also, I love how panicked Henry is and how shocked Alex is after the kiss.
“More like the first 50 rows of a Gaga concert kinda gay” is absolutely sending me. Also, accurate AF.
Not Alex being completely distracted by the sight of Henry!
Amy and Alex's moments are so GOOD! I really love the casting for Amy!!
IMHO all of Amy and Alex’s scenes should become viral memes, they are all so good!!
This entire RED ROOM sequence is so epic with Alex trying to decide how he should be standing when Henry comes in, to the ending when Amy barges in and Henry starts looking at the books so intently and whatever the hell Alex is trying to do. Oh god!
Like Stonehenge!!! (IYKYK)
Poor maypoles. I really love this scene. There is a reason we got a teaser for it, their chemistry in this one is off the charts!!!
This kiss is my absolute favourite no wait isn't the bicep kiss my favourite but this one is up there. It's so good. The way he pushes Alex and kisses his smile and then stares at him. Ugh so so so good! This teaser might have come close to the trailer in how many times I watched it and you may remember that the trailer came way earlier.
Oh god, Henry is so goddamn happy and SMUG as he says, "Yeah, agreed". He literally goes through every emotion under the Sun in this movie.
Wait a minute! WAIT A MINUTE! I didn't realise this the first time around but as Henry stands in the doorway he seems to be taking a mental picture of Alex and HOTDAMN. Fodder for the spank bank apparently.
The cafe scene is so good. The banter, the eye contact, the flirting, the blushing!!!
"And I thought Alexander Gabriel Claremont-Diaz was a mouthful." "He is."
Oh God! So good!!
"Only momentarily", that scene is so angsty. When Henry flinches it is its own goddamn scene!
I really like the "I'm so not playing this cool right now" moment. His apprehension is so delicious. I'm sorry Alex but it is and when he just puts his head down on Henry's shoulder in defeat. So good!
Let's talk about the sex scene! It is better than I remembered. I really like the kiss they share after Henry tells him that most people are wrong about him. And the thing with the hands. Listen I read a post about it being an old Hollywood thing but man if this is an old Hollywood trick it was masterfully employed. I just loved their hands and how Alex's hand is going down to meet his (imitating penetration) and then how Henry's hand opens up (imitating release) followed by the withdrawal of Alex's hand. This is genius why did people stop doing this! Also, Nick's expressions in the penetration scene are so goddamn... WOW. I don't know how to describe them but holy shit that is some explicit stuff. But what I think I love the most regarding this scene is how intimate it feels like the camera almost feels like an intrusion on a very very private moment because the scene itself seems to depict an intimacy between these two characters that is beyond just sex.
Also, RIGID. IYKYK!
I have got to give it to Taylor he really held his own in this scene with Uma Thurman. Like WOW!
Okay, wait there is another scene with Alex and his parents which I completely blanked out but it still leaves me with the same sentiment regarding the state of his parent's marriage.
Say it with me! Happy Henry is my serotonin!
Tumblr media
Zahra really lays into Alex and Henry. "Little Lord Fuckleroy!" WTH! Henry's expression at the end of it all is so good!
This scene between Alex and Ellen is so heartwarming. I think it might be their best scene together. I love how there is this implication that things aren't right as Ellen picks up the phone but then it's undercut by the fact that she is only ordering pizza. I love how Alex's uncertainty over his mother reacting negatively is undercut by her acceptance.
Tumblr media
The moment on the lake is probably my favourite part of this movie because it highlights the fundamental difference in Alex and Henry's positions.
Henry's situation isn't time-dependent or a for-now problem it is a forever thing and Nick's expressions in this scene are heartbreaking. But, despite where it ends up going I really love their interactions as the scene starts. Alex and Henry are so happy and touchy-feely. I just love the intimacy of this moment even though it leads to heartbreak.
Also, Henry jumping into the lake to escape a love confession is a whole-ass mood.
So someone pointed out that the transition from Henry's bedroom to the V&A is a bit iffy and it is. It totally is. I also don't know if I get what point Henry is trying to make with the whole trading one prison for another thing but the ending still makes the whole rift come together. I really want to know how this is handled in the book because I need clarification on the minutiae of this scene and how it came to be.
We have seen Henry and Alex in the same bed atleast three times now and this third time is the best. I love how Alex is holding Henry's wrist and how Henry smiles his little smile.
Tumblr media
Henry is really conflicted at this tarmac, isn't he? And, things are just going to get worse.
I really like Alex's speech and how it's intercut with scenes of Henry literally trying to make himself smaller followed by scenes between Alex and Heney that we haven't seen so far. I especially like the last scene in the woods. Did I mention happy Henry is my serotonin?!
I really love Zahra's expressions in this scene. Zahra and Alex have some of the best scenes. These two really play very well off of one another.
Tumblr media
The scene when Alex calls Henry baby. I remember reading someone say that they wanted this thing to be a whole ass thing and it was. It was a thing. I love how they utilised this endearment to further this moment.
Tumblr media
This piano scene is so beautiful. These two really love each other.
I really like how Alex picks up Henry's nervous habit of fiddling with his ring.
So, we are here on election night and I just love the scene in the hallway with Alex and Henry and that hug. It's so damn cute and wholesome.
Tumblr media
I really like the ending of the movie. It's kind of a nice allusion to Henry and Alex having a home together.
I really also love the end credits with the actors' names because in the end you have Nick and Taylor and you can see them playing with their pinkies. This scene is actually in the movie it's only that when it appears in the movie you are distracted by everything happening with the King. But, it is positively the cutest thing ever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, the end credit scene. "Do you think anyone noticed?" You betcha Alex we did!!

I love Eric v much so here's a little piece from the New Year's Eve ep.
@oceanblueeyesoul , hope you don't mind the tag but you seemed glad to read for him !
gender neutral reader :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You sighed, sitting on corey's bed as you once again watched Eric clumsily prepare for a date.
"Y/n, you don't get it this is the Rebecca-Alexa. The real life model !"
"I heard you the first time, Eric."
He continued dashing around the room, throwing a tie on excitedly. You were nose deep in a study book, when it finally hit him you weren't ready.
" Don't you have a super awesome kiss, obviously not as great as mine—" He smirked, fantasizing about his night.
"Not particularly, no."
"C'mon y/n! You can third wheel me, find someone super hot to make out with at the party."
You sighed, agreeing in the hopes said Rebecca-Alexa would dump him. You'd had a crush on Eric since forever— being Shawn's older sibling you'd known him and Corey since forever.
After awhile a crush developed into love, and now here you were on new years eve— watching your best friend get prepared to go out with a hot chick.
"Don't tell me you're studying all night, you've got too much brain."
You looked up from your book, shutting it, "Yes of course, I just wear dress clothes every night I plan to study."
"Oh, I never noticed that—"
"I'm being sarcastic Eric, I'm tagging along, date-free however."
He gave you an odd look, but ended up smiling, glad to have his best friend around— so he wouldn't have to re-explain the quote on quote "best kiss" of his life.
You finally got up from Corey's bed, hearing Amy and Alan calling after you both. Eric looked at you, extending his arm nervously, you hooked your arm in his.
"Shall we?"
"We shall." He responded, "Does my hair look good? Is this good?"
"You look great, shut your brain off, Matthews."
You two walked downstairs— him going straight to his parents asking for advice on his outfit. The family went through their normal good-lucks on the night, whilst Eric and his new date pulled you along.
The worst part was how kind she was— it ruined the whole tag along to steal her date thing. It made it even worse that his intentions were never to be a good date.
And on top of it all, the car broke down, Cory ruined the taxi ride, and everyone took the subway idea far too serious.
Here you were, watching it all go down— Cory revealed Eric's secret, Eric's date got off, and now the whole car was partying while he sat by you and watched.
"So much for that big kiss, huh Matthews?"
"Rebecca-Alexa.."
"You were leading her on, you kind of deserved it."
"No mid-night kiss.."
"Eric are you serious."
"No totally hot model.."
You smacked the back of his head, which he quickly grabbed. "Ouchie, ouchie, what was that for!"
He looked at you, taking note of the empty spot on the other side of you— also no hot date to kiss at midnight. "Oh. Right.."
You sighed, standing up, and offering your hand, "Midnight's in roughly a minute." He took your hand, standing up, "And?"
"And, I'm not a totally hot model, but I'm here and also without a date."
"You want me to kiss you?"
"I want you to want to kiss me."
"What?"
5. "Do you want to kiss me?"
4. "Is this a trick?"
3. "No, I've liked you since.. like forever, doofus."
2. "Doofus? I am NOT a doofus."
1. "Shut up and kiss me."
Everyone counted down around you, and he did. Of course the two of you timed it off, and as the ball dropped you'd both already parted.
"I'm sure I wasn't jaw dropping, but I wanted to kiss you, she definitely didn't."
"Not jaw dropping, I think you better re-think that.." He nodded his head— you kept your arms around his neck, looking behind you too see Corey, Shawn, and Topanga staring wide eyed.
"Did you just—"
"My sibling?!"
"I think they're cute." Topanga shrugged, shooing them off.

💥, 🎁, 🏷️, for the ask game. :3
💥 What is one canon thing you wish you could change?
Oh, with the brain on Hazbin, this is actually a difficult one. I personally didn't have a problem with the pacing except during Dad Beat Dad and that was fixed on a rewatch by realizing Hell's Greatest Dad was just (or, at least, largely) manipulation.
*Looks through fandoms we share*
Oh, I've got Doctor Who opinions.
Uhhhhhhh personally I dislike Clara, though that eased up a bit once I actually watched her episodes/got to Twelve. I'd probably take out her initial 'she's in his whole timeline' plot line? I know that throws some jank into her plot line as a whole but I honestly don't think I'd have disliked her so hard without that. I know that's controversial, though, 'cause lots of folks like Clara.
Hopefully an uncontroversial opinion is to be able to edit River's CAL-world so it's got her family instead of her archaeology team? Like maybe CAL and the TARDIS shared some data on the way out and so there's a facsimile of Amy and Rory and maybe Eleven specifically so CAL doesn't overwhelm herself. Or the Doctor put all that info in the screwdriver before Darillium.
🎁 Have a piece of a WIP you want to share?
Okay, so, I haven't worked on the third part of Adam's a Worse Sport in a couple days (speaking of which there's a 75% chance I change the series name to Because...I'm Collecting EVERYONE'S Heavenbound Parents!) and I was planning to dump this draft last time I worked on it, but I still like the character work so y'all can have this :3
Crystal found herself staring at the ceiling, each pair of hands folded against her stomach. She’d hardly slept the last three nights, memories of Henry and Nicholas and Anthony circling her mind. She’d love to see Nick and Tony again, to give them the sort of hugs that only came from having four arms. Feed them like they hadn’t eaten the last three or four or eight or nine decades. But Henry… Yeah, she’d known who she was marrying. She hadn’t cared at the time. He hadn’t always stayed sweet to her, but he’d never turned anything on her she hadn’t gone looking for. Granted, she’d gone looking for a lot of fights after Tony had passed. And they’d been vicious as all hell. On top of that, she’d second-guessed more than once over the years whether the car that had driven by while she’d been out shopping had been one of theirs. Every time, she ended up deciding it hadn’t been. It had been one of the other families. But the doubts and the fights had festered over the years, and in the end, she was content to take up her Queen-sized mattress all by herself. What would she do if Henry showed up?
🏷 Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfic to read?
Off the top of my head, I suspect the tags I usually filter for are specific to any given fandom, but I did remember one I love no matter the fandom! Soulmate Identifying Marks! I often end up looking at them for specific pairings but I find it really tasty when found family or poly groups are marked for each other. I've got at least one rec for AtLA's Gaang being marked for each other, and I don't remember if I've read any of BBC Merlin's Knights of the Round Table being marked, but I've thought about writing one real hard :P

Buried Feelings: Facing Love at Last Chapter 6: True Love
Tumblr media
"Are you sure we have to do this?" Makoto asked Ami as they made their way up the steps to the Hikawa Shrine.
"Well, we should tell our friends, shouldn't we?" Ami replied.
"Yeah, but Minako already basically knows, same with Rei from what you've told me, so all that's really left is Usagi. I guess I just don't want to make a big spectacle of it is all." Makoto looked over to Ami to see her facial features had fallen upon hearing this.
"I guess… it's just that… well…" Ami began before trailing off.
"'Well', what?" Makoto questioned.
"It's nothing. You're right, we don't have to make a big deal out of telling them. We can just-"
"Ami." Makoto said sternly, cutting off her other half, "What were you going to say?" She asked gently.
"Well, it's just… even though I never really believed we'd ever get together, I always dreamed about how, if we did, we would get all of our friends together and tell them and how they'd be so happy for us and… yeah." Ami said, her face turning as red as Sailor Mars's skirt. "B-but we don't have to!"
Makoto smiled warmly at the bluenette. She then reached over and took her hand in her own, "Well, far be it from me to deny you your dreams," she said, leaning down to kiss the back of Ami's hand, "my princess."
Ami was reduced to a blushing, babbling mess from this, to which Makoto simply giggled in response. She had always thought Ami looked cute when she was flustered, but this was a whole new level.
"Anyway," Makoto began, deciding if she went any further Ami may actually explode, "we should probably get moving. They're probably waiting for us."
"Y-yeah." Ami stuttered, still blushing profusely, "Ahem, well, after you…" she said, gesturing towards the shrine, "... my princess."
This time, it was Makoto's turn to turn red.
Entering into Rei's room, the new couple was met by their friends sitting around the table which they typically used for studying. Without Ami there to keep them in check, however, it was no surprise that all three of them were reading manga with their school books nowhere to be seen. Upon hearing them come in, the three girls all closed their manga and stood up to greet their friends.
"About time you guys showed up." Rei said, wearing a small smirk.
"Yeah, sorry we're late." Ami said sheepishly.
"Don't sweat it Ami!" Usagi replied with a grin, "But so what was it you guys wanted to tell us?"
Ami's heart rate immediately quickened. It was true she had called this meeting to tell her friends about her and Makoto's relationship, even breaking the rules by using her communicator for something other than her Sailor Guardian duties. Now that she was here, however, she felt a massive amount of pressure. Simply the gravity of what she was about to share felt like it was crushing her.
"Well… um… you see…" Ami began, unable to center herself. That is, until she felt another hand intertwine itself with her own. She looked up at Makoto to see her giving a reaffirming nod. And with that, Ami pressed forward, "Well, just to get to the point… everyone… me and Makoto… are dating. This just happened today and well we… we wanted you all to be the first to know."
As she finished, Ami looked around to see her friends' reactions. Minako and Rei were smiling at them like proud parents. Although, Ami couldn't tell if they were proud of them, or proud of themselves for their role in making it happen.
Usagi, on the other hand, simply stared at them, her mouth slightly agape. For a second Ami worried that Usagi would not react as well to the news as their other friends, but this worry was quickly replaced by both confusion and concern when she saw tears begin to fall from Usagi's eyes.
The bluenette and her partner quickly ran towards their friend to support her, "Usagi, what's wrong?" Makoto asked as everyone lowered back into a seated position around Usagi.
"Oh, nothing's wrong, Mako." Usagi said with a smile, "It's just that… when I thought I lost you guys, one of the things I thought about was how Ami would never get the chance to tell you how she felt and now… seeing you guys here, together, it just… it makes me so happy." Usagi finished, Rei handing her a tissue to wipe away her tears.
Ami smiled softly at Usagi, until everything she had said fully sunk in, "Wait a minute…" Ami began, "You knew too?!"
Usagi looked up at Ami and gave an awkward smile, "Well… I mean… yeah. No offense Ami but you weren't very good at hiding it."
The girls all laughed as Ami turned red once more. Ami eventually joined in on it, if for no other reason than the fact that she was simply bursting with joy.
"But this is so great!" Usagi continued, "We absolutely have to go on a double date sometime!"
"Of course!" Ami responded enthusiastically, "Although, I would feel bad leaving Minako and Rei out."
"All right, a triple date then!" Usagi shot back, not skipping a beat.
"Wait, what?" The blonde and raven haired girls said in unison, both blushing lightly.
It had been a long night filled with joy and laughter, but eventually the girls all had to part. After saying their goodbyes, Ami and Makoto began making their way home, hand in hand.
"I still can't believe this is real." Makoto heard Ami all but whisper.
"Well, believe it." The brunette responded, squeezing her partner's hand. "Because I'm not going anywhere."
"You'd better not." Ami replied, resting her head on Makoto's shoulder. The two went the rest of the way mostly in silence, until they got to the part which Makoto had been dreading the most: the corner where they had to part ways.
"Well I guess… this is it." Ami said, disappointedly.
"You could always just come back to my place with me." Makoto said, "I mean, unless you were as bad at hiding that you're gay from your mom as you were from everyone else I don't see why she'd have a problem with it." She finished with a sly smirk, earning her a light punch in the arm from Ami.
"Oh ha ha SO FUNNY." Ami shot back sarcastically, before her demeanor changed to be more serious, "But… I probably shouldn't. I wouldn't want to betray my mom's trust and also… well…" Ami trailed off, lowering her eyes to the ground.
"'Well', what?" Makoto asked, concerned.
"Well, it's just… this day's been so perfect and I wouldn't wanna ruin it by… by moving too fast, I guess? Does that make sense?" Ami said, still keeping her eyes fixed on the ground.
Makoto reached out and tilted Ami's chin up so she could look her in the eyes before caressing it with her thumb, "Of course, don't worry about it." The brunette said before placing a kiss on Ami's forehead.
Ami blushed and fidgeted with her hands, "Well I mean…" she began, piquing Makoto's interest, "... we could maybe move a bit faster than that." She finished in a tone just above a whisper.
"Oh?" Makoto replied with a devilish smirk. She had gotten the message loud and clear. She cupped her hand around Ami's cheek and slowly leaned in until their lips finally met. Unlike their last kiss, which had been much too brief, this one lasted for some time, the girls wrapping their arms around one another, neither quite wanting to break away. Unfortunately, their need for oxygen got the better of them and the two parted their lips, but still held on to one another.
Makoto looked into Ami's eyes. If there was any doubt left in her mind, it melted away when she stared down into those beautiful oceans of blue. This was it. This was what she had been chasing for all those years. This was true love. She had it. And now that she did, she would never let it go.
"I love you so much, Ami."
"I love you too, Mako."

The first two epsiodes of Futurama’s latest season of the worst written episodes of TV I’ve ever seen.
The first episode starts out alright, and then Fry gets trapped in the chair. The show immediately then decides to get annoyingly meta, bombarding us with the same joke about how funny it is that they’ve been cancelled so many times. We then get this whole contrived charade of the gang bringing back All My Circuits and Calculon, filled with a rediculously large amount of references and fan service.
After going through plot contrivance after plot contrivance, it seems like Fry is dead, but of course he’s not. In fact, it turns out that everything the gang did in the final act of the episode was meaningless. Wow, isn’t that fun. Oh, and also, the show just straight up refused to explain how the hell The Professor solved the time issue, or what that means for the characters. Fry brings up the fact that he feels like time is slipping him by, but then this is never really addressed, as he spends most of the episode not doing enough. Lila doing whatever to make Fry seem happy seems interesting, but it doesn’t amount to anything more than her immediately realizing it’s bad. The show instead decides to cram references, meta jokes, and overddone timely humor down our throats. The episode tries to give every character a moment, and as such, no character really gets to do anything interesting. The Black Mirror parody was pretty funny, though.
The first episode was bad, but it wasn’t awful. However, the most recent episode really takes the cake. It tries to be one of those “emotional” episodes, but just ends up being miseable. Amy ends up crying about 6 times in this episode. The first episode seemed like something the writers made up as they went along, with no second draft. The second episode took that to the max.
At first, it seems to be that the conflict will be about Amy’s parents not liking the kids. Then, they leave the episode. Then, it seems like the conflict will be about Amy and Kiff struggling to raise their kids. Then, Zapp appears and suddenly Kiff has to go on a B plot. Keep in mind that this happens about half way through the episode.
Then, it’s about Amy trying to take care of the kids, then it’s about Amy being jealous of Leela and lashing out unfairly. I’m fine with characters acting irrationally, but the episode has zero time to flesh out Amy and Leela’s conflict. Amy snaps at Leela at two seperate occasions, and then she half heartedly apologizes and that’s it. Wow. Despite being important to the plot, Leela never has anything to do, and doesn’t go through any arc or anything. She also acts weirdly out of character with the beer joke.
Then, we get this rediculously contrived beat about Amy and Kiff having to fight to keep custody of their child aay from Leela. It is almost rediculous how little stakes there are. Kiff and Amy can literally just ignore this cultural rule, or Leela could just let them take care of their kids will officialy being their Mom.
However, the way it is resolved just pissed me off so much. We get this emotional scene with Amy crying and telling her kids she loves them. Oh no. Well she ever get to see them again. Then, her and Kiff go into the hut to the challenge. The woman asks Amy if she loves her kids and she says yes. It turns out that was the test. The episode ends.
What the fuck. Amy learned nothing. We knew she loved her kids. She had to overcome nothing. She just had to say something she would have probably been fine with saying. This flies in the face of basic screenwriting. Amy didn’t defeat her obstacle by rising to the occasion. It’s rediculously unsatisfying and anticlimatic, and it’s not even funny or anything.
The thing with the guy who hates bears on the planet with the tardigrades was funny. I felt really bad for him, however. Like, were we supposed to hate him?
This episode just jumps around from person to person and from conflict to conflict, so not a single one is meaningfully explored, and the movement between each one is contrived and reeks of the writer’s having no clue what direction to the move the story in.
And they expect this to be emotional? One brief montage is not enough to sell me on the bond between Kiff, Amy, and their kids. Yeah, I get that she loves them, which is why the ending is unsatisfying, but I need to you know...see her display more than a few seconds of affection.
I also need the kids to have more than four lines each.  All of the previous emotional moments of the series worked because they involved characters we felt we understood (Fry and his Dad, Fry and his Mom, Fry and Seymour, Fry and his brother, Leela and her parents, Hermes and Bender, Fry and Leela). With these episodes, they built up these moments by connecting them specifically to the arcs of the characters (Fry feeling inadequate, Fry wishing he could talk to his Mom, Fry being nostalgic and feeling guilty, Fry feeling like he never got to do anything and being jealous of his Mom, Leela being lonely and feeling like an outcast, Bender wanting to find out who his and striking up a friendship with Hermes, Fry and Leela’s entire arcs). This episode never does any of that with Amy and Kiff. Sure, they’re likably characters, this episode just doesn’t spend the time to give them arcs.
This episode simply didn’t have the time to do anything it wanted to do. There were some good jokes, but it ultimately just left me feeling angry.
Both of these episodes felt messy, contrived, and stuffed with so much BS, there wasn’t enough time to have anything impactful.
