I finally watched Gift of the Night Fury and I gotta say this is my favorite characterization of Astrid ever. Like I have no hate against her she’s always just been a yeah she’s cool kinda character to me but her being so optimistic in gotnf bordering on manic is so good to me. Her trying her best to forcefully bring cheer during sad times is so entertaining and gives her the chaotic touch that I always felt her character was missing. And those moments when it’s apparent that she’s really bad at comforting people sometimes is so funny to me it makes her feel a little more real.

Also I think the art style really helped I don’t know how to explain it other than it feels like they syringe fed like two tiny droplets of Tim Burton into it - it gives all the characters a slightly insane look in their eyes favorite animation style for em yet <3

I guess it took me a bit too long to understand that "Grandma" represents not an actual Grandmother, but a wolf in her disguise.

But do you think with Red being "Wolf hunter" she could try to kill an actual wolf aka "Grandma"? I am not saying she would achieve it with them being basically immortal, but I kinda can imagine her bite back?

Also it's stupid, but what do you think about idea of Red becoming medic to be more similar to Kal'tsit?

Honestly I don't blame you. There's so little information about Grandma, like I want to know why she refers to herself as Grandma because I feel the reason is going to hold a good bit of significance.

And oh, yeah I mean Red is not someone I see as having much caution or care for her own life and if pushed enough she'd react like she does if someone gets too close just on a far larger scale.

And on Red being medic, I think that'd be viable and maybe something that could be set up to happen down the line but Alter wise I think it'd be difficult to execute because Red would need to become a medic early on in her event and I don't think she would have the motivation for that going into it and need a lot of development in order to do so.

But Red wanting to heal rather than harm like she's done and being inspired by Kal'tsit and mentored by her, in a healthier version of Grandma teaching Red to fight would be really nice for her future.

Can't help but think of Reed though. I find their characters to be quite similar and of course, she decides to become a medic and early enough that she's already one heading into her event.

Every time I think about Hunter x Hunter (which is usually around 500 times a day ever since I was in middle school) I get a new appreciation for it

I love it, but I hate it, but I love it

I will talk to you about how deep and introspective the characters are, how amazing their arcs are then jump right into how disjointed the story is. I love the bad parts too

i appreciate the attempts a lot of game devs are making with gender neutral character creation, and i appreciate that it's actually a very difficult task to implement that depending on the game's base code. but it's so funny to me when you hear an uproar because some game has "entirely removed the gender option from character creation!!!!!" so you go to check it out and its just like

So if GHOSTS are seen as animals? Everyone nods and then later? Someone comes in TV and very excitedly informs you "we found INTELLIGENT LIFE amongst the ghosts!" You'd believe it. Probably be really excited by your conversation starter for the day. Get a taco and move on with your life.

But? Having to willing sit for a barrage of testing? Is going to suuuuuuck so bad. Poor Danny. SATs all over again. For HOURS. At multiple facilities, just to be CERTAIN it's not a one off. All because he not certain he can insure good behavior from other ghosts and This Is IMPORTANT. He ALSO can't be certain it's even SAFE.

Might be a trap.

But if he has to do it again and again and again? Mexico to Bavaria to China to the Maldives? If this is what it takes for the scientific community to bitchslap the GIW into ORBIT before the UN? Hand him that pencil.
