Be quiet, please
Summary: Kylian got a little too drunk and decided to share some information he isn't supposed to.
Warning: Slightly cursing.
Part two
Tumblr media
"Princesa, do you want another drink?" Neymar asks you, noticing the glass in your hand is empty. "Please," you hand him the glass with a smile.
Your attention goes back to Melissa and Fayza, Melissa was telling you a story about her recent trip. From time to time, you turned your attention to the dance floor, Kylian was dancing with Bruna, she's trying to teach him some Brazilian dance.
You can't help but smile, dizzying off from the conversation with the two women.
The party was something Kylian wanted to do, not being a very party guy himself, he asked you to help him plan it. And if you were honest, you did an amazing job, all his teammates and their partners were there, his parents, his brothers and close friends too.
"I mean, that's good for me. What about you, y/n?" Melissa asks you. You turned back to her a little embarrassed because you have no idea what they're talking about. "Yes," you say, trying to save the talk.
Fayza can't help but laugh while Melissa just looks at you with a funny expression. "You have no idea what we're talking about," she says as she joins Kylians mother. "Sorry, I zoned out." The blush on your face only grows.
"Melissa was talking about meeting for breakfast tomorrow, just us and Lana," Fayza tells you. You smile really hard, loving how they always involve you in every activity they do. "I'll love to. Let's have brunch at the cute cafe we visited last time, " you suggested happily.
"Princesa, your drink, extra special for my good friend," ney interrupt the conversation handing your drink to you. "Miss Lamari, Melissa, would you like something else to drink?" He offered happy. Ney decided to be the bartender helper since he couldn't really dance because of his injury.
They thank him and accept the offer, ney goes back to the bar to prepare the drinks. "I was thinking," you say, pausing to drink a little of the cocktail. "Ky asked me to start planning the wedding, he wants to have a summer wedding and I want to ask you to help me."
The thought of your wedding with him makes you excited. Since he proposed back before the World Cup, you started saving ideas for dresses, venue ideas, and daydreaming of what everything was going to look like.
Fayza moves closer to hug you, excited at the idea of you finally joining the family as her sons wife. She helped Kylian with the proposal, helped him pick the ring, and practice his speech. She was the most welcoming woman on earth. Since day one, she was arms open to you, knowing as soon as she met you, you were there for the long run. She wasn't wrong.
"I can't believe it's been a few months since that, you know I love you like a sister, count with me on anything."
When you moved to Paris, you didn't expect to find love and a family that loved you and protect you. Not expecting any of that to go so well as it's going.
"Thank you, both of you"
You hug them easily as you were in the middle of them. Ethan walked close to the scene and asks what's going on.
"What's going on is that Melissa wants to dance, and you're taking her," you say, watching Melissa roll her eyes at you but accept dancing with her little brother in law.
Verrati and Marquinhos saw this and decided to invite you and Fayza to dance, accepting the offer you move to the dance floor. Some Brazilian music is playing, probably a request from one of the team guys. Loving to see Ney and Marquinhos break the dance floor with their moves, tonight only being Marquinhos.
Kylian saw that you and Marco were dancing and smiled. He was happy to have you, happy to see how you blend amazingly into his world, not thinking of anyone more than you to do it.
"Go, Kylian!" Bruna yelled as he got the steps correctly this time, after what it seemed like a whole night trying. "Go, Kyky. Go, Kyky. " Sergio and Pilar cheer for him. Antonella and Leo are trying to imitate the dance as bruna directs the whole choreography.
You took Ethans hand, dancing a little bit with him while Melissa and Marco dance together, Marcos wife lost at the bar laughing with Neymar. Everybody's having fun. Everybody's relaxing, forgetting about their worries for a moment.
After a good time on the dance floor, Fayza and you go back to your seats. You are tired from the workout you did in the morning, cursing yourself for it. After a few songs, Melissa frees herself from Marco, handing him to Bruna, and she accepts excited to teach more dance moves. It was her night, and nobody denied it. We just accepted it.
Kylian left the dance floor when his eyes and yours made contact, walking your way, you open your arms for him to get into them, embracing you while you kiss his cheek. "You did it amazing, amour. Such a dancer, " you smiled, pulling away from him,
You both laugh, and he takes a seat next to you and in the middle of Melissa and his mom. "Maman," he yells, a little more drunk than usual, something is not common in him, but tonight you're happy he's letting go, knowing he needs that "Je vais me marier." (I'm getting married) Fayza, and you let out a laugh. Finding adorable the way he's so excited about it.
"I know, my love. I can't be happier for you, " she says, caressing his cheek as a love sign. She has the same thoughts as you, Kylian has a very pressured life, so it's good for him to let go and enjoy his youth.
Kylian recliners himself into you, his head into your shoulder, giving him access to your cheeks and neck, something he didn't take for granted, kissing you cheek multiple times. "Ky, stop," you pull away a little, not wanting him to start something he's not supposed to. Not in front of his mother.
"Tu n'aimes pas que je t'embrasse?" (You don't want to kiss me?) His expression turns into a hurt one, "Chérie, s'il vous plaît" (honey, please) he tries to kiss your cheeks again, but you move your face, making him pout harder this time "You weren't denying my kisses this morning while I was inside of you." You move your hand to his mouth, stopping him to finish his sentence. Melissa can't help but let out a loud laugh, Fayza laughs with her while shaking her head. "Amour, be quiet, please."
He takes his hand into yours and moves it, freeing his mouth. "Est-ce que je te fais de l'effet?" (Do I make you feel good?) He whispers into your ear.
You can't help the blush that creeps into your face. "Ky, be quiet," you whisper to his ear. "Why? maman sait ce qu’on fait" (mom knows what we're doing). With every single word of him, you can feel your face turn more red. Thankfully, the color of the lights helps you.
"Maman, elle m’a fait me sentir si bien ce matin" (mom, she made me feel so good this morning) kylian tells his mother, laughing casually, not caring a single bit about the meaning of his words. "Et peut être que je vais te faire sentir bien, ce soir" (And, baby, Ima make you feel so good, tonight) You try to hush him again, but his hands on yours difficult you the work.
"Oh Chérie, you're so drunk right now, " Fayza, who is enjoying the moment, knowing damn well she'll use it to mess with him later, tries to shush him. Melissa, on the other hand, is enjoying everything, not caring to make him stop but decide to help you. "Kyks, come with me, I want another drink," she says while taking his hands and pulling him off of you.
You stay there, ashamed that Kylian says that in front of his mother, deciding to drink your cocktail, looking at everything but the eyes of your future mother in law. "Y/n, Chérie, don't worry." She says, feeling your discomfort and laughing at how embarrassed you were. "But I have the feeling I know now why you wanted a brunch and not an early breakfast," she joked with you, which makes you laugh, you love the way she always makes sure you're comfortable.
You can't deny that even though you feel embarrassed, you lived for these moments. Yes, it was something you were going to be mocked about for a long time, but hey, it's the memories that count.

tonight, i'm gonna dance, for all that we've been through
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
summary - y/n make the mistake of accepting a daft boy's invitation to the yule ball and she has nothing to do but miss out on the fun, but draco malfoy would change that
warnings - rusty writing, modern day hogwarts (?), so many references to taylor swift that i "accidentally" snuck in, slight cormac slander, one cuss word, quite short, not proofread
paring - d.m. and y.n.
a/n - hey, it's been a while, i know i haven't been as active and people haven't really been interested in what i write anymore but i had that one part of holy ground in my head and i saw this prompt in my fic ideas so an idea sparked, i hope you guys enjoy <3
also yes we're just going to pretend that i didn't have a breakdown earlier 😋
Tumblr media
Y/N LOOKS OVER at the entrance. the daft gryffindor whom she decided to go to the yule ball with never came. she doesn't really know how it never occurred to her that he probably just asked her out for a stupid dare, but she saw it as an opportunity to make a special someone jealous.
draco malfoy, slytherins finest.
or in her eyes, her childhood best friend.
she wanted to ask him out; or more so him to ask her out, but she never had the guts to cause of her ever growing crush for the blonde boy. it's a little cliche but during one cruel summer night y/n invited him over for a sleepover cause she had another breakdown. she said a silly, lame, little joke that she knew wasn't even funny but he laughed, and that laugh hit her right in the heart and slowly melted into a puddle.
" y/n ? you alright there, darling ? " she snaps out of her thoughts and looks up at the voice; finding out it belonged to the same boy who owns her heart. " oh- yeah i'm fine, draco. don't worry. " she puts on a reassuring smile and watches as sits beside her. " so, where's mclaggen ? if that gryffindork stood you up i will hex him " he chuckles, not expecting her to look down and clear her throat. his mood changing almost immediately.
" y/n..did he really ? " draco looks down at her with a frown, anger slowly growing in him. she sniffles and mumbles " i think it was all a silly dare from his friends..i genuinely thought he wanted to come with me. pansy even helped me pick out a nice dress even if she didn't think too kindly of cormac. " she looks at him, her eyes now all glossy. " oh- love, c'mere.. " he hugs her gently and rubs her back, playing with her hair as she rests her chin on his shoulder.
" next time i see him i will kill him.. " he mutters under his breath, smiling at y/n's soft giggle. followed by a sniffle as she mumbles " don't mess my hair up, please. " he laughs softly and nods, mumbling, " i won't. now, you stay right here love. i have something to do. " he kisses her head and stands up, walking over to the dj. y/n watches from afar as draco jogs back to her as the dj plays a new song.
y/n's eyes widen in realization as the song plays, her heart melting like crazy as she looks over at draco's silly smile. " i know you like this muggle singer. so i suppose if mglaggen won't make this night memorable for you, how about i do? " he stretches his hand out to her and she sniffles with a wide smile, taking his hand before dragging him to the dance floor. y/n's laughs and little dance moves are the only thing draco cared about at that moment.
he takes her hand and twirls her around, laughing with her as she falls onto him. his body thankfully stopping them from falling, then it's as if they were both in a movie. time had slowed down, both of them staring into each other's eyes. and just like clockwork, they slowly leaned in for a kiss. their eyes shut, enjoying every moment. after a while they both pull back and jump a little as they hear cheering.
they both look to the side and see their friends cheering. especially a very enthusiastic pansy jumping up and down on heels, screaming, " i fucking knew it ! pay up boys ! "
they both laugh and look at each other again to share another small, but tender kiss before he leans into her ear and whispers. " i've been listening to more of this muggle singers songs and checked the name of a very interesting song i was listening to that i remember you telling me it reminded you of me. london boy, was it ? " he asks teasingly before she laughs and slaps his chest before whispering back " yes, and many others from that album. "
he chuckles and pulls something out of his pocket, " is this one of them ? " he opens his palm and inside lays two paper rings, one green and one he painted silver. y/n's mouth drops and she lets out a small squeal. " draco lucius malfoy, you did not just make us paper rings ! " he chuckles and takes one of her hands, slipping it onto her ring finger. she bites her lip to contain her wide smile as she does the same to him, whispering as she does so,
" i take this magnetic force of a man to be my...lover "

Lemme know if this is out of character lol I’m in love with your cheerleader/reader series 🫶🏽 but I was wondering if you would be willing to write something about them getting into an serious argument and are giving each other the silent treatment? Like maybe hellfire gets fed up with how they’re both acting since it’s affecting their campaigns (somehow) and so maybe they lock both of them in the room together to work it out and barricade the door so they cant get out? lol if you write this then thank you sm in advance and if not then I completely understand 😊🫶🏽
this got so long wtf lmao.
warnings: fighting, swearing, angsty-ish? not really lmao it's fluff
Mike screeched to a halt into Hellfire, almost slamming into the table. "Sorry I'm--" His voice died in his throat, staring at the scene. Dustin, Lucas, Jeff and Gareth were sitting on the floor, rolling dice into a mat dully and reading, while Eddie and you were huddled behind the screen, whispering furtively, as though no one else was there. "They're still fighting? How long've they been like this?"
"As in the rest of this week, or just today?" Lucas asked flatly, looking up at Mike. "They've been fighting since I got here."
"Since lunch," Gareth corrected.
"Since Monday," Dustin complained, dropping his head into his knees. "Do they ever take a break? How do they eat?"
Lucas leaned back on his palms, staring up at the ceiling. "He was fighting with her before and after cheer," he muttered. "I saw him waiting on the bleachers. They argued in sign language." He mimed something with his hands, and Dustin swallowed a laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. "Like, what the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Oh, so I'm the unreasonable one?" you snapped, standing up to put your hands on your hips. "This is all my fault, then? Sure, Eddie. Real mature."
"You're the one playing the blame game," he countered, wagging a finger at her. "Don't go all 'woe is me,' you knew what you signed up for when you started dating me."
"Yeah!" you huffed. "Dating! Participle gerundive form! Active! As in, something I am doing!"
("Wait, lemme get this down," Dustin muttered. "We're doing participles in Latin. Did she say gerundive or ablative?")
"Oh, don't get all grammar on me, princess," Eddie hissed. "You know it's suicide for me if I go with you."
"Right!" Mike yelled, and your heads snapped up at him. "Okay. I'm sick of this. We're sick of this." He looked behind him at everyone else, who were nodding quickly. "Can you guys please sort this shit out so we can get on with living our lives?"
"Without yelling," Dustin added.
"Or threats?" Gareth said.
"Or passing notes between you two on the days you refuse to talk?" Lucas said.
"Dude, they made you do that?" Jeff asked, and Lucas sighed, nodding. "Real mature."
"You two," Mike continued, pointing at both of you. "Are not coming out of this room until you get this all sorted." He put his hands on his hips, seemingly possessed by the spirit of his older sister Nancy. "Either kiss and make up, or starve to death in Hellfire. Come on," he said to everyone else. "Barricade the door."
Eddie's mouth opened and closed, fishlike, as the kids stormed out of the room. Outside, Dustin and Lucas slammed themselves against the door, pressing their ears to it as Mike peered through the keyhole.
"I didn't realise it was getting that bad," you said weakly, moving to sit on the table. Eddie pursed his lips, not looking at you. "They probably think mommy and daddy are divorcing."
He sighed. "I don't understand why you care so much," he admitted quietly. "It's just a stupid dress up party. With stupid popular kids. Chrissy's gonna win prom queen, Jason's gonna win prom king, I'll get blamed for spiking the punch. It's boring highschool bullshit."
You glared at him. "It's my boring highschool bullshit," you snapped. "It's my prom. They're my friends. I want to go."
"Then go!" Eddie said, sweeping his hands. "I'm not stopping you. It's just stupid fucking promnight."
("God," Dustin muttered. "Eddie really sucks at this."
"I'm on his side," Mike murmured back. "He shouldn't have to go to prom if he doesn't want to."
"Wait," Gareth said, pressing his ear to the door. "They're fighting about prom? That's it? I thought he'd murdered someone, or something.")
"I want to go with my boyfriend," you hissed, pressing a finger into his chest. "You're my boyfriend, and I want my boyfriend to be at my 'stupid fucking prom night'!"
He barked a laugh. "What, with the corsage, and the matching tie, and pulling up in a rusty ol' van, and some girl crying in the bathroom, and your mom forcing us to take photos? No tha--" Eddie stopped, watching as you blushed under his gaze. "Holy shit. You actually want that, don't you?"
"Sue me!" you cried, not meeting his eyes. "Yes! I want you to pull up in your stupid van, and I want to get spun around with you to, I don't know, Duran Duran, and I want Chrissy to take a group photo with us on her new Polaroid, and I want you to step on my feet while we're dancing. Is that wrong? Is that stupid?"
Eddie swallowed thickly. "And we'll get drunk on the punch that I definitely didn't spike," he added softly. "And I'll get a matching corsage for you."
You smiled, pressing your hand to his cheek. "And we'll blow it all off halfway to smoke behind the bikeshed," you murmured, smiling up at him hopefully. "Come on, Eds. That doesn't sound so bad, does it?"
He sighed. "Princess, it'd be social suicide for you," he said, tucking a hank of your hair behind your ear. "Your friends hate me enough as it is. I don't wanna give them more reasons to push you away, alright? I've seen how they fight with you. About me."
You rolled your eyes. "They're stupid," you said drily. "I don't care. All I care about is my boyfriend watching me walk down the staircase of my house--"
"You live in a one-storey."
"And going, whoa, when he sees me in my prom dress for the first time. Maybe even a choked up, 'you look nice!', or something."
"You watch way too many John Hughes movies," he snorted, pressing a kiss to your hair. "Do I have to wear a suit?"
"Please."
He chewed on his lower lip. "...And you'll be in a dress?"
"The prettiest."
"And no one is gonna say anything that the top flyer is dancing with Eddie the Freak?"
You took one of his hands in your good one, pressing your mouth to the warm metal of his ring. "If they do, I won't hear it. And if they say anything, anything at all," she added darkly, "they'll see just how much training I put into my high kicks."
He smiled, pressing his face into your hair, before growing sombre. "I don't like the fact they treat you badly because of me."
You shrugged. "Then you're gonna have to get used to it, Munson. I'm sticking around." You pursed your lips at him, closing your eyes. "Make up kiss? Pwease?"
He laughed, and pressed his mouth to yours for the first time this week, groaning at the contact. Your good arm flew around his head, pulling him between your legs as you made up for lost time. You hissed as he nudged your bad wrist, and he stroked your cheek as an apology, refusing to pull away.
"Eddie!" you gasped, arching in surprise as he hauled your body closer to him, pressing you right up against his chest as he planted both hands either side of you, caging you in. "God, fuck, I missed this," you mumbled, hooking your legs around his waist as he dug his teeth into your neck, biting down. "Shit, god, fuck, please."
"Right!" Mike said, slamming the door open, face bright red. "Glad that's all sorted out then. Glad you two could. Uh. Kiss and make up."
You laughed weakly, resting your head against Eddie's chest, and flipped them off in tandem.

I REALLY REALLY HATE RAINFLOWER!!!
Literally the worst mother. I can see how she might be a decent one if Crooked-kit was ‘perfect’(he was perfect) (that came out wrong, I used was because he died fyi) and how she would always call them handsome and talented but when Crooked-kit’s accident happened she just?? Started hating him?? Like literally:
-made him sleep in his own nest once he got back from med den because he was “used to it”
-Got his name changed from Storm-kit to Crooked-kit
-Didn’t pay any attention to him
-Moved out of the nursery before he was out
-insisted he wasn’t ready to be an apprentice
-made sure her Ex-mate(his father who actually cared about him) got to mentor her favorite to try and separate him from Crooked-kit
-Never even asked how he was doing
-Started cheering his name at his warrior ceremony late, like really late
-never took an interest in him besides saying to be better and do more
-Wasn’t even proud of him when he became deputy(though that Oak-Heart deserved it more)
AND THAT IS JUST THE START I HATE HER
(Also I think it is interesting that she named him after the Storm to begin with? Because that storm was a nightmare?? Foreshadowing of the worst kind)
PS sorry for this rant I hate her though. If you have anything else to add please do :3
All good! A lot of my issues with Rainflower actually stem from the cats around her. I've talked about it prior here but it really does bother me that the Erins spend so much writing time having her abuse her child and then just...don't have anyone intervene...? And I'm still supposed to like Shellheart and Hailstar when they just sadly let Rainflower insist on changing her son's name? No one says anything? Why is she even allowed in the same nursery as her son???
This tunnel vision focus on Rainflower actively harms my perception of the rest of the Clan, they'll gladly write scene after scene of her abusing her child and then just don't seem to want to recognize that the RiverClan cats not intervening makes them complicit in this abuse. It bothers me a lot in a narrative about abuse that a lot of the characters we're meant to like are just bystanders, ya know?

Can I get Kanade and a reader thats so overly competitive its endearing going on a date to an arcade together (bonus points if one of them wins a plush the other wants at a crane game) thank you and hope you’re having a great day :) R(Romantic)
{Kanade on a competitive arcade date!} [R]
I'm not sure if this is what you meant by the bonus points, but I hope you enjoy this! Also, I suppose my days have been a bit dull, however I'm not gonna let that stop me!
Tumblr media
It won't be easy for Kanade to comprehend your competitive spirit. Sure, she can tell that your passion is something impressive, but when it comes to games and mundane activities, she can't really wrap her head around it...
So when you suggest your next date to be at an arcade, she sorta knew what she was getting into. It was hard to refuse your words, however, and she just decided to play along...
Thankfully, you were aware of her general dislike of crowds, so you took her to an arcade far from the eyes of the general public! She sighed in relief as the noises inside were nothing mayor...
She can't help but roll her eyes whenever you spot a new machine and almost drag her towards it only for you to either beat it or her in seconds. It's a little hard for you to be as competitive as normal with someone like her though...
So instead, you start dragging her to machines to cheer her on, and start taunting the games themselves! She chuckles at your taunts and comments, but she still struggles with a few games.
"You can be so energetic... I'm a little envious, actually. What, do you think it's funny for me to say that while smiling? Well, you have enough energy for the two of us, so it's easy for me to relax... Just, try to keep it together..."
She definitely keeps trying out all of the different games, especially after your enthusiastic descriptions of each one of them! You do get a little disappointed when she doesn't like some...
For example, she kinda sucks at any sports-like ones. Basket, air hockey, she can't really do any of them, and you decide that maybe it's better to avoid those...
However, she seems to have fun with some of the driving cabinets! Albeit the easy ones, as she already has dexterous hands from using her keyboard! Just make sure to not pick those intense few...
And you always make sure to gently pat her head whenever she wins! It makes her really flustered, but thankfully she still responds, unlike when your relationship was starting... You giggle, remember those times!
Then, you get an idea... After applauding her for another victory, as you had every time, you sneak you hand over her head before kissing her instead! A forehead kiss, to be exact!
This brings forth the reaction you so clearly remembered, a shocked, pink face with a frozen, stiff body! So cute... You embraced her and let her take it in...
To help her, you remarked just how much she had earned your support and kisses, letting her remember how much effort she had been doing to humor your tastes and decisions! You appreciated how open to change she was, and you were as clear about that as you could!
Those words would remain in her head, as she comes to the realization that you don't have much time left to be together, and as you say goodbye, leaving her at her door. She smiled, knowing that this was all worth it. Perhaps the outside wasn't so terrible with you next to her...
She would head to her bedroom, exhausted from the day as she holds the bunny plushie you managed to get for her. Her body sinks into the sheets, hugging it as she thinks to herself...
'... We're so lucky, aren't we? I would've never thought I'd enjoy a date outside that much before... And the compliments they give me... They feel so full of spirit, it's hard to compare them to anything I've ever heard...'
Maybe next time, Kanade will try and get you a plushie. After all, luck was with both of you for getting together, wasn't it?

What the hell is going on ??? (Part 1)
Gray exited the underground and merged into the surrounding crowd. Heading towards the meeting place he had set with Jiwoo and Subin, he watched the activity of the people filling the street with a sort of satisfied nostalgia. Since the episode of his abduction, he had been enjoying each day much more intensely. The realisation that it didn't take much to go from being alive to dead had put some things into perspective for him. After all, life was only lived when you were alive. Once dead, it was impossible to be happy, sad, laugh or cry. So it was better not to waste time when you were alive and to live your life to the fullest, that was the conclusion Gray had come to. And he intended to put it into practice!
He was drawn out of his reverie by Subin who was gesturing to him and shouting his name. Gray smiled and sighed. He loved Subin, but she did take some getting used to. She was quite a phenomenon.
-Gray! How are you?" she said, nearly choking him in a warm embrace.
Gray tapped her arm to indicate that he needed air and she released the poor boy, who coughed up his lungs before answering.
-I'm... fine," he said.
She smiled at him with all her teeth. Gray looked around for Jiwoo, who was supposed to be waiting with Subin.
-Oh, Jiwoo went to the bathroom," Subin said, noticing the young man's questioning eyes. "He seemed to be in a hurry, he ate something at lunch that wasn't very..."
-Okay, okay, we'll wait for him there then!" Gray cut her off a little abruptly, not wanting to know more about the unfortunate state of his friend's intestines.
Subin insisted on continuing her description but Gray cut her off again, changing the subject completely to divert her attention. They discussed everything and anything to pass the time until their friend returned. That's when they saw Jiwoo's little light brown head coming towards them in the crowd. And a big green head. A big green head? Gray looked more carefully before exclaiming:
-Gerard?!"
The latter waved his hand.
-I bumped into him on my way here, so I asked him to join us," Jiwoo explained.
-Hi Gerard," Subin said in her usual cheerful way.
Gerard smiled back.
-Hey, you should really think about cutting your hair! It's too confusing to talk to you without seeing your eyes," Subin said with her natural frankness. "And you can't see a damn thing! Isn't it a pain in the ass to have that clump of hair in front of your eyes all the time?
Gray tensed. Subin this idiot! There was an implicit rule in the Eunsang High group that you never talk about Gerard's haircut. And Subin had just put her foot down.
-We were planning to go to the bookstore with Subin and Jiwoo, and then hang out at the arcade, do you want to join us?" Gray said, ignoring the girl's comment.
-I'm fine with that," Gerard replied, ignoring Subin as well.
She was about to protest when Jiwoo led the way with a cheerful "LET'S GO!", cutting the young woman off and she followed the three boys in protest, but none of them listened. Seeing how determined they were not to let her continue on the subject, she resigned herself and simply joined their discussion as they headed for the bookshop.
The boys did their quick shopping while Subin waited outside. She didn't care about books at all! Gerard was checking out when a group of guys approached Subin, laughing a little loudly. At first she didn't pay any attention, but she looked up when they called her names in a vulgar manner. She glared at them and said nothing.
-Hey, aren't you one of Big Ben's group and stuff?" one of them began, ogling her from head to toe. "We saw you hanging out with them last time, hehehe.
"When we got out of the hospital maybe?" said Subin, who didn't respond to their provocation.
-Hey, we're talking to you! Didn't they teach you to answer when you're asked a question? Where did you get your education, you grumpy bitch?
This time Subin was annoyed. At first, she had decided to let it go if they got out of there in a minute, but now they had pissed her off.
-And what if I am ?" she replied, her tone more defiant than ever.
-Come with us, we'll teach you some manners! That's no way to talk to a guy, you bitch!
Subin allowed herself to be dragged away so that she was not in the middle of the street. She could deal with them quickly and be back before the boys knew anything. She might worry Jiwoo if she did anything dangerous in broad daylight, in a crowded street.
Gerard, who had just finished giving the cashier his change, rushed out the door when he saw Subin being dragged into an adjacent street. Without warning the others, he rushed after her, hoping not to be too late. He turned into the street where Subin had disappeared with the group of guys and stopped dead. One of the guys was on the ground, unconscious. His nose was bleeding profusely. Another one was threatening her, shaking with a piece of wood, while the third was pinned against the wall by Subin's hand, which was holding him by the neck. Resisting as best he could, he couldn't seem to get out of her grip and was panting to keep his breathing steady.
Subin looked enraged. Mouth agape, Gerard watched her throw the man to the floor. Approaching the man threatening her with the stick, she disarmed him with a flick of her wrist as he lunged at her in a desperate attempt to get out alive if not with honour. To lose in a close fight with a woman, what an infinite shame for a man of his kind. For him, women were stepped on as if they were the steps of a staircase leading to personal satisfaction. Unlucky for him, he had come across one of those women who did not let herself be put down easily by the misplaced supremacy of men.
Taking a step back, Subin hit the high schooler in the head with a royally delivered kick. The man rolled to the ground and spat out some blood from his cheek, which had split open from the impact. He shakily got up and pleaded with Subin, who was about to give him a final blow, to let them go. Subin stopped in front of the pathetic look on his attacker's face. She almost felt sorry for him.
Then the man she had thrown to the ground stood up and walked towards her from behind, an empty bottle picked up from the ground in his hand.
-BEWARE!" Gerard barely had time to shout when Subin had already turned around, and with a gesture stopped the boy's hands from going down on her head while placing a violent knee strike in his parts. The man dropped to the floor with a groan, clutching his knees to protect his poor, crushed balls.
-Get out of here," she ordered. "And don't let me see you again!
The two thugs did not hesitate. They picked up their still unconscious friend and slipped away. Subin sighed and shook her head, then gave a victorious smile to Gerard who was standing there with his arms out. He couldn't believe what he'd just seen, and couldn't help but think the young woman was too cool. He was filled with a total admiration that made his cheeks turn pink.
-What's up spruce, were you worried about me?" laughed Subin. "Ooooh you're so sweet! But you know, you don't have to worry too much, I'm doing fine on my own! If you ever get bullied, you can call me and I'll come and beat the crap out of them for you hahaha!"
Subin gave her the sly smile she was so good at. Gerard, who didn't really understand what was happening to him, nodded, obediently. He then took out his phone and handed it to Subin, who looked at him in surprise.
-You said you'd beat the shit out of anyone who messed with me..." he began. "I need your number so I can call you the day it happens.
Subin looked at him with round eyes. It sounded so absurd, and yet Gerard seemed so sure of himself that she couldn't help but burst out laughing.
-Haha seriously! What would you guys do without us, huh? She said as she took the phone that the highschooler was handing her.
She entered her number and sent herself a message. "Spruce." She laughed and registered the contact under this name, which she found perfectly suited to the character. She had hesitated between that and "the big green pole", but it was too long. She gave him back his phone and they walked towards the bookshop while chatting.
-But seriously, you should cut your hair! It's too confusing not to see your eyes!
-....I'll think about it," Gerard replied sulkily.
-What, you have a complex about your eyes? Do you think they ruin your charm?"
-....we can say that," Gerard continued, obedient but reluctant to give the answers the young woman expected.
He could no longer refuse Subin anything. Ever since he had seen her in action in that dirty alley where those guys had dragged her, he had been completely under her spell. He couldn't help but think she was super cool! And again, that was a weak word. The admiration he felt for her was close to something he was discovering at the same time and had never felt before.
-Hahaha seriously man? You have to get over that or you'll never find a girlfriend! Or boyfriend for that matter, whatever!" she chided him. "And then these days, people don't pay that much attention to looks - except if you have warts, then it gets complicated but hey - if it's just your eyes it's fine! You can wear contacts or something like that.
Not really paying attention to what she was saying, Gerard looked at her, nodding stupidly at each of her suggestions until they joined Jiwoo and Gray, whom they'd left behind in the bookstore.
-Where have you been?" Gray questioned them, his arms full of the comics he'd just bought. "We've been looking all over for you, we were getting worried!
-I've been beating the shit out of misogynistic morons," replied Subin proudly.
-Ooooh well done Subin! I hope you castrated them too," exclaimed Jiwoo.
-Of course I did! They crawled away hahahaha," she rubbed her nose.
Gerard looked at them, wondering if he was the only one who found all this a bit extreme. He tried to look to Gray for support but Gray smiled and nodded, silently approving of Subin's action. Gerard gave up and resigned himself. After all, those three bastards had it coming, and he was fairly certain that the world would be better off if bastards like them could no longer reproduce themselves.... But that was another debate!
The group of friends made their way to the arcade, chatting energetically. They changed their minds as they passed a poster of "Robot's Slayer", an anime that Jiwoo and Subin were eager to see. Merely following happily behind, Gray and Gerard found themselves in the cinema with the two overexcited friends. They left the theatre as they had entered. Gray and Gerard, as passive as ever, lingered to listen to the impassioned comments of a Jiwoo and a Subin on the verge of tears.
-And then! I was sure he was going to kill her! Why did he have to die first, the jerk? All that suspense for this, frankly, what a disappointment!" cried Subin, releasing her frustration without restraint.
Gray patted her on the shoulder as he listened, the remaining popcorn in his other hand. Gerard continued to help himself without adding anything either. He could see that Jiwoo was holding back as best he could, so he wanted to avoid adding to the mix and having two big emotional people to deal with at the same time. Finally finding themselves at the crossroads of their respective roads, the four friends said their goodbyes, then parted ways. With Gerard and Subin gone, Jiwoo was about to leave when Gray grabbed him by the sleeve.
-Jiwoo, do you have time this weekend?" he asked.
Jiwoo nodded.
-Could you come to my place? I'd like to talk about the... waking... if you don't mind. And since I come to your house all the time, I thought you could come visit me for a change..." he said hesitantly. "There won't be anyone at home, my parents will be away for the weekend. It's safe, we can talk in peace."
He knew it wasn't a great idea but he hoped his friend would come to his house for once. He didn't want to impose on him any more than he already was...
Jiwoo seemed to think it over, then smiled at his friend.
-I'll talk to Sir Kayden about it and let you know! But that's a good idea, thanks for the invitation! I'm curious to see what your house looks like!
Gray thanked his friend with a smile.
-I will! We keep in touch!
He waved to his friend, and headed for the underground himself once Jiwoo had disappeared into the night, which was already well underway. Gray was about to enter the underground entrance when he noticed a strange person watching him from the top of the underground entrance, facing the stairs. Wrapped in a black sweatshirt with the hood pulled down over his head, the man straightened up and left a few seconds after Gray had raised his head to look at him.
Gray walked down a few steps, stopped, and then suddenly turned around. His curiosity had been piqued. He was sure that the man had been staring at him and not at the people around him who were speeding in and out of the subway.
Climbing the steps four at a time, he set off in the direction in which he had seen the man disappear. He quickened his pace, crossing the wide avenue to find himself in a maze of streets that became smaller and smaller. At each change of direction, the man stopped, as if waiting for him. Gray was more wary than ever. "It smells like a trap..." he thought.
He continued on until he found himself in front of a restaurant that didn't look like much. He pushed open the glass door, through which one could only see the interior in large blurred spots, so dirty was it, and entered. An old lady behind a counter crowded with all sorts of objects barely looked up to greet him. Gray walked slowly between the low tables where empty soju bottles and chunks of cooked and cooled meat still lay, inspecting the place carefully. Then he noticed the door to the inner courtyard open. He stepped forward, and went out.
Just as he was fully inside the courtyard, the door slammed shut behind him. He turned around suddenly and found himself face to face with the man in the hood. Placing his bag on the ground, he adopted a fighting stance, ready to respond to the assault.
But the assault did not come immediately. His assailant began to circle him slowly. Gray followed suit, and they almost made a semicircle before stopping. A thin thread of cool air blew against the high school student's face, which felt like a sharp blade pressed against his cheek. A few seconds later, the man lunged at him.
Gray dodged and turned quickly to kick the man in the knee. Taken by surprise, the man put a knee in the ground but got up quickly, not allowing Gray to hit him in the temples as he had planned to do. Sending his fist in an arc towards Gray's face, the latter narrowly avoided it and placed his hands on either side of the arm to block it and turn it around. The man got out of the way just before Gray had time to dislocate his collarbone with a sharp blow.
Cautiously, he stepped back to put some distance between them. He seemed to know how Gray fought. This was going to be more complicated. He didn't seem to be making the mistake of underestimating the high schooler, which made it more complicated for him. Realizing that he had no room for error, Gray concentrated as hard as he could. He had no choice but to be serious.
His attacker threw himself on him again, and this time it was a succession of blows that Gray had to deal with. He used his agility and his capacity of reflection and observation to avoid the maximum of blow and to carry out with address and precision painful blows to his opponent. A violent elbow in the nose, another in the jugular which made the man in the hood suffocate, a blow in the lower stomach well placed. Gray could not avoid all the attacks and had taken at least three blows in the ribs. On the plus side, his attacker didn't seem very original and was always aiming for either his torso or his head.
As he parried the blows, Gray wondered who his attacker was and why he was after him. Union members would never behave like this. So he wasn't one of Donald's henchmen. An awakened one perhaps? But then why wasn't he using his powers to attack him? It didn't make sense! No, he definitely had no idea who was attacking him or why. It was very unsettling.
Finally having time to analyse his surroundings between attacks from his opponent, Gray seized the opportunity when he saw a drinks tray still full of ice cubes lying behind it. Swinging his arm forward in a very long movement, he forced the hooded man backwards, and inevitably into the bin. Surprised by the coldness that seized his foot instantly, he could not parry Gray's double attack, which hit him in the temples with a kick, then in the stomach with a powerful right. Finally, giving a quick kick in the tank, he made him lose his balance and his attacker fell forward, destabilized by the previous attacks.
Without giving him time to recover his senses, he crushed his hand to the ground with all his weight. Seizing a bucket filled with the water of the melted ice cubes which had been used a little earlier in the evening, and after having withdrawn the hood of a sharp gesture, he emptied the contents of it on the head of his attacker who howled with the contact of the icy water on his skin. Gray leapt away, seeing the man trying to grab him by the ankle.
Losing his patience, the man took a syringe from his pocket and prepared it for use. Gray sensed that the situation was becoming dangerous. He lunged for the door, hoping to get away before the attack, but the man had anticipated his action and thrown himself forward, coming between him and the door.
Gray stopped at the last moment and tried to back away, but the man grabbed him by the arm and knocked him to the ground. Now pinned to the floor, Gray tried everything he could to keep the needle from digging into the tender skin, but nothing helped. The man had the upper hand, and none of his tricks worked. He swore inwardly as the needle came dangerously close to his shoulder.
"NO!" he thought. You mustn't! Whatever was in that syringe, he didn't want to be pricked. But nothing could be done. He struggled like hell, but he couldn't fight it any longer and lost hope when he felt the sharp pain of the needle penetrating his muscle and releasing its contents, like an icy spike sinking into his body.
Feeling his eyes grow heavy with fatigue, he couldn't resist the sleep that invaded him for long and fell into a deep artificial sleep.

chapter 7: the school camp pt.3, my ego balancing
We're still at the disco. After a bunch of songs, I thought I could sit down for a second and I found my way to these two steps where I had spent almost all night people-watching two years ago, when I was in 3rd grade. Then Max, a girl who was never seen with her hair down and was kind of an asshole, sat next to me. "You seem like you're enjoying yourself" She said it as if she could make me feel bad about my dancing. She knew I was in Jazz and that I took it seriously. "I am!" I smiled, acting as if I didn’t even noticed the mocking undertone. "Fair… you look kiiiinda cool, Rees" My ego was through the roof and I couldn't help but feel great about myself and my cool vibe and my cool dancing. I hadn’t expected anyone to say anything about it. Now I thought maaaaybe more people had maaaybe noticed. I grinned, unable to have a less conceited reaction. It was this type of comments what made me think Max wasn't just an asshole at all Times. Even if our first interaction ever had literally been her, questioning and making fun of something I'd drawn for our first primary school activity, a picture of our summer vacation. My drawing was great may I add, even if I had to hide it away from her and her friends (who had become friends just 10 minutes earlier). The drawing was still up on my wall cause I had really actually liked it. "What? Are you not having fun?" I said teasing her back, knowing this was the type of thing she'd despise. "I hate these things" She looked at me and understood I was being sarcastic and had outsmarted her. We laughed and then I forced her to stand up and dance with the bunch of our girl classmates. Ella included, obviously.
A song called “Chiquetere” played next, and our teacher sang it and we all cheered for him which was very random and very fun and almost "epic" cause we were 10, and I had a great laugh. Then when we went back to the dorm, the only person I managed to have as my partner to share the twin bunk beds with was one of our 20something year old camp instructors. Which balanced my ego just enough. The next day, we had the best spaghetti bolognese ever and I almost pissed my pants laughing during lunch just cause our table of classmates was that fun. Later that evening, I was the literal worst shooting an arrow cause my aim was so shit (I was 1 out of the 2 idiots who got the arrow to hit the grass intead of the huge foam target in front of us). And then at night, I was on the edge of my seat the whole Time during the bonfire cause I had a deep disgust towards this specific food and had to stay 10 metters away from anyone who had made contact with it, except Ella who I let sit just one metter away from me. I would've felt lonely if I wasn't so anxious, but I was still annoyed. I managed to have some roasted marshmallows and Ella would come sit a couple steps away from Time to Time so we could chat. She would also ask people to just leave if they got a bit too close to me. She was a real trooper, I was really glad that she understood and would yell at people for me lol.
The last morning there, I was the literal best on the last game of the camp, where we had to balance while sitting on top of a trash can type thing which was hanging transversally from a rope. It was supposed to be a wild horse, and it just tilted and turned every way the second you even touched it, throwing you to the ground on top of a pile of dry pine needles with a big thump. Ella had been better than average on it and I was ready to try my best too. When I sat on top of it and lifted my feet from the ground, I didn't move one bit and I was so surprised I thought I had done something wrong or maybe I was cheating somehow unintentionally. But I was not and I was able to stay completely still for 3 whole seconds there, and I heard a little "oh" coming from my classmates and I was also in shock of my balance. Then the thing started moving and I still got a couple more seconds up there when I used all my hands-legs coordination. Everyone was counting out loud and when I hit the ground on my back, it had been 5 whole seconds, almost 6, which was a lot. I stood up with a victory smile on my face, feeling all the pine needles getting through the knit in my clothes to my skin. My classmates cheered on for me just as they did for everyone else and some even said it had been cool. I overheard that girl called Max, the asshole, telling her friends and everyone around her that the only reason I was so good at it, was the fact that I was "so skinny". I just rolled my eyes. I knew that was not how gravity works cause even a baby would make it tilt, and it had actually been my great balance and coordination. I didn’t care to correct her but I over confirmed the fact that they were dumb. Also, Ella and I were already busy talking about how we both had been the best and then our conversation trailed off to BarbieGirl.com and making up stories about our new avatar game we were obsessed with (wait for next chapter to understand this last bit).
My family arrived a bit late but I didn't mind cause the atmosphere with my classmates still felt really exciting after spending so many days together. I told a story about my sister getting caught in a hotel elevator doors when she was very little and how funny it was when the doors opened on her perfectly without hurting her cause she was wearing a floatie and everyone was laughing hard at the story. Even the older lady in charge of the camp was hearing and was laughing with her eyes closed. I really felt great when I got the punch line right when telling a story, and people were asking me to re-tell the last bit. When my family arrived, I ran to hug them, and even my grandmother was there. The afternoon light was blue but it didn't rain, and I loved it. My sisters and I had so much horchata to drink, and I also had many slices of cake on napkins. My dad kept asking me to bring him another cake slice on a napkin and it was so fun asking "chocolate or vanilla?" and going choose one slice for him. I showed my parents around the woods and the dorm, even if my sister and myself had already showed them around years before. I could really "talk nineteen to the dozen", so I could be a talking nightmare after weekends like this.

So quicky update for those of you that tried to help me with my poetry problem. I ended up making her a compilation of all the different poems that made me think of her and putting it in a notebook to give to her. She saw me working on it and asked me what I was doing and not gonna lie I almost died from the shock. But I decided to give to her right then and there. She seemed really confused by it until she started reading. Watching her eyes light up before asking me if that was how I felt. I tried to say something but I was too flustered to even talk so I just nodded and SHE HUGGED ME. Honestly think I'm going to remember that moment for the rest of my life. We're supposed to be going to a book festival next weekend as well as seeing some slam poetry. Her favorite poem is overwhelmed by Luis Xu and god I just love gushing and talking about her. The way she smiles. I don't even know if we're dating or anything. But she calls me love, dear and sweets. Anyway sorry for ranting. I'm just so happy and giddy. But I just wanted to take the time to say thanks to you Rosie! and Coffee. I like to think it was them and at least that way I have a name I can say thanks too! But even if it wasn't Coffee I just want to say thank you Anon! But I'm really beginning to understand what Coffee felt like. But I hope everyone does wonderfully! I hope the entire year goes your way! I might not be that active after this but just remember I'll be here cheering you all on!
ANON WOOOOO IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! AND IM SO PROUD OF YOU!!! THAYS SO ADORABLE AND IM SO GLAD SHE LIKED IT!! I HOPE ALL GOES WELL FOR YOU!!!

Legacy of the Girls - Part 1
Tumblr media
This is just a little story, not really a legacy to be honest, but just a cute way for me to get back into playing the Sims 4. It's been so long! And I do love legacies, but I also like doing my own thing as well.
Legacy of the Girls follows 5 female sims and I'll probably play them until they all settle down and move out to start their own families. I'll give them most of their autonomy, but I'll also be trying to achieve their aspirations.
So I think it would be best to introduce the girls first. They're actually shaping up to be interesting people.
Tumblr media
This is Radley Mulligan. She's a vegetarian who's a little mean and a little gloomy. Haha. I randomized all of their traits. It's more interesting that way. Her aspiration is Freelance Botanist though — so all of those mischief/mean interactions are counteracted by her devotion to the environment. I guess?
Tumblr media
And this is Winter Lourdez. The sweetest Sim I know. Her aspiration is Friend of the Animals because she's an animal enthusiast. And she's also an ambitious perfectionist. Not a bad bone in her body. I also had her join the medicine career because it just seemed fitting.
Tumblr media
This is Molly Rozee (pronounced Roh-see). She looks super sweet with that pale-ass adorable face but her aspiration is to be Chief of Mischief and she's super dastardly. Girl just wants me to install extreme violence but it's not happening. Other than that she's super cheerful, noncommittal, and likes music.
Tumblr media
This is Solar Matsumoto. She's the oldest (I don't know how that turned out but her birthday is first) she's jealous, she's gloomy, and she's got an aspiration for Extreme Sports. I think that one will be hard for me to fulfill. Eesh. She was supposed to be the edgy one — but she so isn't. Lol! Oh, she's also a Child of the Ocean, so I guess I'll have to take her on vacation a lot.
Tumblr media
And last but not least we have Loren Starling! Loren is…well, Loren. She's outgoing, she's erratic, and she's an alluring Serial Romantic. This girl was away with the fairies from day one. It was so hard for me to get a decent head shot of her I had to wait until after I'd built the damn lot. She was always pulling these stupid faces…
Tumblr media
My God Loren.
Tumblr media
This is the lot that I built for them. There's like no custom content. It's just a nice big house. All the bedrooms are on the second floor, so most of their day to day activities happen on the first. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, big open plan kitchen and living. I still made it look as homey as I could. I'm not a build designer or anything like that. It's functional.
Tumblr media
Since I started playing so late, all the girls went to bed as soon as I hit play. Except one...
Tumblr media
Loren decided the first thing she was going to do in her new home was watch some gay porn and masturbate. Yep. You really showed me exactly who you are, Loren! Lol. Thank you wicked whims for this. Is this wicked whims? I assume it's wicked whims. I couldn't believe it. I mean in hindsight I'm really not surprised.
Is that Brokeback Mountain?
Tumblr media
Finally, all my girls asleep.
Actually, as fitting for her personality, Molly chose the biggest bedroom for herself (the pink room with the mirror and dresser). She probably made some threats under her breath as they were all walking upstairs. I wouldn't put it past her.
Tumblr media
Winter was the first one awake in the morning. She still looks tired. Poor thing. It's probably because her room is located right above the living room and Loren was…well…we know, but maybe Winter doesn't know.
Tumblr media
Winter: *wants to make breakfast, but doesn't know what to do with ingredients and chopping boards* Also Winter: *admires the pretty flowers instead of using the bathroom*
Tumblr media
Molly over here was obviously given a job in the criminal field. I think she's going to like it.
Molly: This is how you cook a breakfast, bitch. The ingredients go in the pan. Winter: *nothing but thankful for the tips*
Tumblr media
Winter: You know what we could have for breakfast. Cheese and wine! We're adults, let's live a little! Molly: You are absolute trash
(Please excuse the plumbobs. I did get better at taking photos after this travesty of a beginning.)
Tumblr media
Radley: Just letting you know I'm vegetarian so there better not be any crabs in that there breakfast. No crabs, right? Molly: *absolutely done with the entire household in the space of 5 minutes*
Body language says it all.
Radley was given an environmental conservation job I think. I can't remember the exact title but it's definitely something she'd enjoy. It's a shame none of the girls have to go to work for like 2 days though.
Tumblr media
When Loren finally wandered down for breakfast I decided she could have a job in the acting career. I thought it would be something different — and she'd either sink or swim at it. Or potentially be really good! Or maybe just quit eventually and do porn. So we've got:
Winter: Nurse Molly: Thief? Solar: Teacher Loren: Wannabe Actress Radley: Eco Warrior
I think that's a nice mix.
Tumblr media
Whatever it is Solar is eating, it actually looks so delicious. Avocado sushi roll?
Tumblr media
It's been a really lovely morning of the girls just hanging out and getting to know one another. I thought having a mean sim and a dastardly sim in the house would end with everyone crying in their bedrooms (haha!) but they're actually getting along. Who would have thought!
Wait, where's Loren?
Tumblr media
Loren: I'm over here being perfectly delightful playing some games. You don't have to worry about me! *innocent smile*
But I do Loren... but I do...
Tumblr media
Oh no, Radley! I can't have one of you die on day 1! This isn't a survivalist legacy! Stop, drop and roll! STOP, DROP AND ROLL!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Molly gets the credit for putting out Radley, but Winter helped too even if she was blocked by the counter! Thank God those two didn't freak out otherwise Radley would be a pile of ash on the floor right now.
Molly looks so damn cool putting out that fire in her nightdress. Like, damn. She is focused.
Tumblr media
Molly: You're not needed. Firefighter: I'll let myself out...
Tumblr media
This was Radley's emote after almost burning to death! #cookingmemories <3 "Oh my word, Radley, remember that time you almost burned to death and Molly saved you? Wow, good times! It was so funny! <3" I can't! This is the cutest thing ever! I want to cry!
Tumblr media
On the other hand both Molly and Winter were feeling super confident for putting her out. That is so cute!
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Solar and Loren had freaked out and literally evacuated the building thinking the whole thing would go up in flames. Wow, guys. Real heroic of you. Solar seems super upset by the whole experience. Poor baby. It's gonna be okay! Do you really think I'd let one of you die so easily?

Kushina lives by Samusolderbrother
Continued..chapter 5
He knows Jiraiya-sama of the sannin, personally. You've heard how he gets away with addressing the Hokage. And he knew Kakashi, personally, before our team formed. I told you that I'm pretty sure his mother is S-ranked. None of the adults will talk about it at all. Do you really think I'm messing with you?" he looked her square in the eyes.
"Holy shit. This team is seriously unbalanced. No wonder Kakashi was surprised," she trailed.
"Since you started training with Naruto, you're getting much stronger than I would have ever thought," Sasuke admitted. "If you keep pushing yourself, you'll be much better than most of the rest of our class. It's probably unfair to them, but the Hokage isn't going to break up a bunch of teams just to rearrange us. It's actually beneficial for you that this happened, because you're getting stronger much faster than if we'd been a balanced team," Sasuke mused.
Kakashi chose that moment to poof next to them. He waved, "Hello, Team 7," and smiled behind his mask.
Naruto dispelled all of his clones and joined the rest of the team. "Hey, Kakashi-sensei! What're we doing today?"
"Didn't I tell you? We're taking a few days off. We have a joint escort mission going into the desert and it's going to be a long trip," Kakashi explained.
"Great!" Naruto cheered. "So we're going to do some training, right?"
"I'll show you some exercises, but no heavy training. I don't want the team worn out," he stared at Naruto, "before we even leave. Rest up and meet at the gates first thing in the morning in three days."
Naruto frowned and grumbled, "Fine."
When Naruto and Sasuke got home, they were surprised to find Kushina examining a topless woman whose black hair was tied up.
"Um… mom?" Naruto started. "Should we come back later?" His mind was filled with mental images conjured from Jiraiya's books and he suddenly felt a little sick.
"No. It's fine. I'm just examining this seal Anko-chan has on her neck. There are actually two of them: one is the actual thing and the other is a suppressing seal," Kushina said absently.
"You're gonna learn about the naughty bits sooner or later," Anko smiled. "Might as well do it under parental supervision, eh?"
Kushina stopped examining the seal and looked at Anko. "Please, put on a shirt, Anko-chan," she said soberly. She changed her tone as she faced Naruto and Sasuke. "What are you doing home so soon? Aren't you supposed to be on missions or training?"
"Nah," Naruto answered. "Kakashi said we have a long mission in a couple of days and he didn't want me tiring out the wimps," he motioned to Sasuke.
"Shut up, stamina-freak. Only you could keep up that pace," Sasuke retorted.
"Well, since you're here, I might as well tell you in person. I went on active duty today and my first mission involves Anko-chan. I'm going to be gone for a few weeks while we work together, so you'll be on your own until you leave with Kakashi-chan," Kushina explained. "Sasuke-chan, I believe that you need to practice with your sharingan. Mikoto mentioned a tablet once, so go find that on the Uchiha grounds and see if it helps. Naruto-chan, there are some scrolls for you to study in your room and Jiraiya-sensei should come by with a summoning contract for you to sign before you go."
Kushina rushed over to the genin and wrapped them in a big hug, saying, "You boys be careful and make sure to come back, okay? I love you both."
Naruto replied, "Of course, mom. We're way too awesome to bite it on some lame C-rank mission."
Sasuke replied, "We're not going to die. Please let go of me." While he secretly thought, 'This is embarrassingly nice.'
Kushina picked up a bag and left with Anko across the rooftops. Naruto waved while Sasuke plopped down on the couch. He interrupted Naruto's farewell saying, "It's your turn to make lunch, stamina-freak."
Naruto turned and shouted with a giant smile, "Ramen, it is then!"
—Three days later, on the road to Sand—
"Kakashi-sensei, are you sure that there isn't something I could be practicing along the way? How about Body-Flicker? Pleeeeeeeeeease?" Naruto whined.
'If I don't find something for him to work on, he's going to be like this for the whole trip. And if I do give him something, then he won't be paying attention to the clients. *sigh* Was I like this at his age?' Kakashi thought to himself while trying his best to ignore Naruto.
"Sasuke," Kakashi called quietly over the radio.
"Yes," the serious genin replied.
"Do you see anything?"
"Negative contact," came Sasuke's voice over the radio.
Kakashi turned to Naruto and asked, "How is your chakra control coming?"
"I can keep a leaf stuck to my forehead while transitioning from water-walking to wall-walking or tree-climbing. I stopped practicing after running with it for fifteen minutes. Sasuke timed me," Naruto replied much calmer.
"We're on a mission, so limit yourself to four shadow clones and don't wear yourself out. If I tell you to stop, don't ask questions. Got it?"
"Hey! What are you doing? We didn't hire you to take a bunch of kids on a road trip, dammit!" screamed the convoy's lead driver.
"Having extra eyes will be very useful, sir, so just let us do our job and everything will be fine," Kakashi smiled. "Okay, Naruto. Body-Flicker should be easy to learn," Kakashi started with the mic open for Sasuke and Sakura to hear. "All you have to do is mold chakra into your whole body. It temporarily energizes you and allows you to move at much higher speeds. The boost is only temporary though and the whole technique depends on how much chakra you put into it."
Kakashi showed Naruto by moving from the ground to a nearby tree in less than the blink of an eye. "Like that. The better you are at it, the faster you'll move. Now practice, but leave at least one set of eyes to watch for danger," he said as he jumped back down.
Naruto created four shadow clones and set them to practice while he diligently kept an eye out.
—Two days later, near the border of Sand—
"Kakashi-sensei, possible contact left," Sasuke radioed from ahead of the convoy. His sharingan was already active in preparation for battle. Wind gusted past to him as Naruto body-flickered next to him.
Naruto discovered that body-flicker was a good technique for closing distance, but he could only move in a straight line. In order to take a corner, he would have to move at his fastest speeds or body-flicker, pause, then body-flicker again. Molding the chakra for the technique took him a split-second as well, so he didn't like the idea of using it against a serious opponent. But to move a few hundred yards in the blink of an eye, it was perfect.
"That's a handy trick, stamina-freak," Sasuke whispered.
"You should talk, red-eyes. What've we got?" Naruto whispered in response.
"I can't tell without getting closer. Send a shadow clone over there," he pointed, "to check it out."
Naruto nodded and created a shadow clone which promptly body-flickered in the direction Sasuke pointed. After a minute, Naruto frowned. He clicked his radio on and asked, "Kakashi-sensei, are we in Wind country yet?"
"Not yet. Did you spot Sand-nin?" Kakashi replied.
"I don't think so. It's a nin from the Mist village. She looked a little malnourished, but killed my clone with a lava ball," Naruto answered.
Kakashi winced. "Halt the convoy," he said to the convoy leader. "Sakura, guard them. Radio if you get into any trouble. Sasuke, Naruto, join Sakura. And make a clone to come with me."
Naruto body-flickered next to Kakashi and created a clone. Sasuke, not to be outdone, body-flickered next to Naruto. "I don't know what's going on, but this could get dangerous. If she kills me, take a longer route around to complete the mission then return to the village immediately," Kakashi told the genin trio.
Kakashi, Sasuke, and Naruto went to where Naruto's last clone had died, but found only a cooling ball of lava. "Come to finish the job?" wheezed a slender woman covered in dirt from behind them. "You'll find I'm not so easy to kill! Lava Style: Lava Glob!" A ball of lava shot out, but Kakashi grabbed Naruto and dodged as it passed close enough to feel the heat while Sasuke evaded using body-flicker to a nearby tree.
"We're not here to kill anyone!" Naruto shouted. But Kakashi pulled his headband up to expose the three-tomoe sharingan in his left eye.
"Naruto! She's not interested in talking!" Kakashi shouted, readying himself for battle.
"Kakashi the Copy ninja, huh? Well, try copying this!" she shouted, stumbling on her feet. "Boil Style: Corrosive Mist!" A tiny jet of mist came out of her mouth, but she started coughing before much more than a few squirts came out. She stumbled forward into the aborted jutsu and Naruto body-flickered behind the woman, wrapping his arms around her neck and his legs around her waist.
"I've got her!" he shouted, holding on for dear life.
She spun around and smashed backward into a tree, dispelling the shadow clone. "What the—" was all that she managed to say as Kakashi struck her from behind, knocking tired woman out.
"Sakura, tell the convoy to prepare a tent," Kakashi radioed.
—Inside the large tent—
"But we're not hunter-nin. She's from another village and she looks like she's lost. We should just give her directions home and be on our way," Naruto argued.
Kakashi frowned behind his mask. "She might have comrades nearby, Naruto. We don't know why she's here. We can't just let her go. On the other hand, we aren't at war with the Village Hidden in the Mist, so we could just let her go and file a report on the incident. Still, I'd like to hear her explanation before I decide. And it looks like she might be out for a while."
The woman rolled over and started pushing herself up. Naruto ran over with Sakura and said with a smile, "Hello! You're awake already! I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Who are you?"
"Didn't I kill you, Naruto Uzumaki? Am I dead?" the woman grumbled.
"Not dead. Just in a very precarious state. I can tell that you are an extremely dangerous kunoichi, but as exhausted as you are right now, I don't think you should strain yourself," Kakashi said, smiling.
"What are you Leaf ninja doing here?" she asked.
"This is Fire country. Why wouldn't we be here?" Naruto commented.
"Where do you think you are?" Kakashi asked.
"Are you the interrogation team then?" she asked with icy resolve.
"We do things differently than the Bloody Mist. We just happened to be in the area. I haven't decided if we should take you in yet," Kakashi explained.
"You can't hold me, Copy Kakashi," she said with a deadly tone.
Kakashi smiled, "Probably not."
Naruto added with a smile of his own, "But we can't help you if you don't tell us anything."
The woman looked like she was thinking about it for a while. "I was returning from a mission when I got caught in a sand storm. I don't know how long ago," she finally explained with a scowl.
Naruto pulled a map out of one of his pouches and the woman flinched before she saw that it was only a map. He unfolded it in front of her and pointed to where they were on it. "This is where we are." He pulled out some rations and water. "Here's some food and water. Rest for a little while and then make your way home." He smiled again and waved as the four Leaf ninja left her alone in the tent.
'I don't really have much choice, do I?' she thought as she passed out.
The convoy continued on to the desert where Kakashi passed the convoy off to a team from the Village Hidden in the Sand. They checked the tent on the way back, but it was empty.
Chapter 6
"Ibiki says that we can't use the Forest of Death this year for the exams," Anko whined. She lounged on Kushina's couch with a large alcoholic beverage in one hand. Kushina was in the kitchen, pulling out her makeshift grill.
"Well? What's the problem?" Kushina asked as she started setting the grill up.
"He told me that I had to devise another challenge that would eliminate at least half of the teams taking the exams. Like it's my fault we can't use the forest." Anko took another sip.
Kushina assembled the last part of the grate before responding, "Orochimaru could have been spying on you through that Cursed Heaven thing for the last ten years. We found the security hole and plugged it, but now we have to change things up. Every project you've worked on in the last ten years has to change because we have to assume that Orochimaru knows all about it. That happened to all of the ongoing projects and missions as soon as I got that thing analyzed, but the chunin exams only come around to Konohagakure every fifth exam. That's every two and a half years. You've proctored the Forest of Death twice already, so they're changing it."
"It's not like the Forest of Death hasn't been around since the founding of the village! I don't know why he decided to fuck me over—"
"Language!" Kushina yelled. "My kids are going to be home soon and if you want to stay for dinner, you'll have to set a better example."
"—one little missing-nin who already knew about it," Anko griped quietly. 'Can't argue with free barbecue.'
"And that 'one little missing-nin' is the snake-sannin. I wonder why they're paranoid," Kushina frowned.
—Training ground 11, sunset—
"Naruto! Stop! Please!" Sakura panted, struggling to catch her breath. "I'm dying here!"
Sasuke and Naruto were still fighting a dozen yards from where the pink-haired girl was huffing and puffing at a shadow clone.
"You always say that, Sakura," Naruto admonished. "Would you rather spar against Sasuke?"
Sakura winced. She remembered the bruises she'd had for days after the last time she'd sparred with Sasuke. "No, but all of this training is killing me," she huffed. "I can't keep up this pace." Sakura's hair was tied up in a bun and sweat dripped off her chin. Naruto's orange jumpsuit was barely dirty and the clone looked like it had barely broken a sweat.
"Tomorrow we'll work on ninjutsu then. I wish Kakashi would train us more though. It'd be nice if he showed us one of those thousands of jutsus he knows," Naruto complained.
"It's not like we don't have time to learn those advanced things, Naruto. Kakashi is teaching us the basics," Sakura defended.
"If you say so. How's your chakra level coming?" Naruto deflected.
"It's better, I think. I don't know. You and Sasuke are the only comparisons I have. I'm nowhere near you, but my control is still better than you," she explained. "I think I've got about a quarter of Sasuke's chakra level, but I can't tell for sure."
"Take a couple of minutes and then we'll do some body-flicker practice," Naruto instructed.
He and Sasuke were already pretty ragged with their sparring practice, but Sakura didn't need to know that. Sasuke used his sharingan to react faster than Naruto, but constant practice was increasing Naruto's speed to the point where Sasuke was almost having trouble staying ahead. Naruto was getting fast, but he still didn't know much more than basic ninjutsu. He didn't know any elemental attacks. He didn't know any genjutsu except how to break them. He knew a lot of taijutsu. He practiced until his taijutsu was nearly flawless, but he still didn't know anything advanced. The only other jutsu that Naruto knew was the summoning jutsu and Jiraiya still hadn't gotten around to letting him sign the contract that allowed him to summon frogs.
Naruto held up a hand and said, "I've been running Sakura ragged. I think we need to practice ninjutsu more anyway, but I don't know many jutsus. We'd just be practicing the basics."
Sasuke stopped and said, "Yeah, we should start bugging Kakashi to teach us more."
The two broke up their spar and walked over to Sakura, who was still catching her breath. Naruto's insistence on training her had started to pay off, but it was hard work, which was something she was unaccustomed to doing. She'd always been smart enough that she hadn't had to work very hard at the academy, but Sasuke and Naruto were so far ahead of her that not training would have been nearly suicidal.
Kakashi showed up while the three were drinking water. "Taking a break from training? This generation is so lazy," Kakashi smiled behind his mask.
"Are you INSANE?" Sakura screamed. "I haven't been able to feel my arms or legs! Naruto and Sasuke are brutal slave drivers! If we trained any more, I would keel over and DIE!"
Kakashi only smiled harder. 'Their work ethic is just like Gai,' he thought. 'This should be entertaining.'
"Perhaps one day you'll see the merit in hard work, Sakura-chan. But, for now, I wanted to ask you all a serious question. Our village, Konohagakure, will host the next chunin exams and I wondered what each of you thought about entering."
'We've only been genin for a few months. Are we ready?' Sakura thought.
'It would be a great chance to test my skill and learn from other shinobi. Yes!' Sasuke thought.
"Hell yeah! We just need to learn a couple of things and I think we'll kick ass and take names!" Naruto shouted excitedly.
Sasuke and Sakura looked at Naruto. They were accustomed to his outbursts, but this one seemed even more energetic than normal.
"That is certainly definitive, Naruto. How about you two?" Kakashi asked the tired genin.
"I don't see why we shouldn't enter the exams. It's not like it's a one-time only test, right?" Sasuke asked. Kakashi shook his head.
"Is it going to mean more training, Naruto?" Sakura asked, pleading with her eyes that the answer would be "no."
Naruto thought for a moment, reviewing what he knew of human anatomy. He finally responded, "We should definitely rest up in the days before the exam, but we can't slack off on training just because we might get promoted."
'A few days of rest is all I ask. I constantly feel like I got buried under a building,' Sakura thought, but said, "Okay then. Let's do it."
Kakashi smiled again. "Great! I'll get the forms. No more missions for the next two weeks."
Sakura was just getting excited about finally having free time, but Naruto interrupted her fantasy, "YES! More time to practice and train!"
Sakura shot up and screamed, "NOOOOOOOOOO!" as she ran home.
—Naruto's house, two days before the exams—
"Sakura-chan, I'm so glad that you could come over! I hope the boys haven't been pushing you too hard with their training," Kushina gushed. "They can be pretty intense."
'Understatement of the decade, lady,' Sakura thought. "They just want to make sure that the whole team is strong, Kushina-san," she responded demurely.
Kakashi was wearing his standard blue clothes with his green jacket over it. His mask came up to cover his mouth and nose, as usual, and his headband drooped to cover his left eye. He was sitting on the couch next to a woman Sakura hadn't met. The woman had black hair with blue highlights and wore a jacket over her tight mesh armor.
Kushina had her hair tied up and into a high bun with chopsticks pinning it into place and wore an apron over civilian clothes. Naruto wore the orange jumpsuit that he had worn since before it fit right, still proudly displaying his forehead protector. Sasuke wore his standard outfit. White shorts with a blue shirt emblazoned with the Uchiha crest on the back.
Sakura wasn't sure if she should have worn her standard gear or the civilian clothes she'd decided to wear instead. Naruto noticed her and ran over, excitedly. Sakura was a little surprised that he didn't body-flicker, but she figured he didn't want to use jutsu at home. She never used jutsu at home.
Then it struck her. There were pictures that had genjutsu on them. There weren't many pictures in the two-bedroom apartment, but all of the ones on display had genjutsu on them. Before Sakura could think any further, however, Naruto grabbed her arm and pulled her over to the couch.
"Kakashi-sensei! Anko-san! Sakura-chan is here!" he exclaimed excitedly.
"Hey there, Pinkie," Anko blurted with a drunken smile. "Nice ta meetcha."
"Glad you could make it, Sakura-chan," Kakashi smiled. He had a drink that was only half-full, but his mask was still on.
'Come to think of it, I've never actually seen Kakashi's face,' Sakura couldn't help thinking.
"Anko-san was just telling us about when she took the chunin exams," Naruto said with a serious tone. "She said that we were lucky that this year wouldn't be like back then."
"Oh. That's nice," Sakura responded.
Anko laughed evilly. "This year, we completely redesigned the middle stage. You guys'll never pass!"
Naruto laughed a good-natured laugh. "You think some test is going to stop me? I'll be Hokage one day. Even better than Yondaime!"
'I knew he wanted to be Hokage, but better than the Yellow Flash? He must be on drugs,' Sakura thought.
"Oh, ho! The Legendary Pink Troublemaker has arrived!" boomed an older man's voice. Sakura turned to see a drunken Jiraiya looking down at her. "That is certainly exotic, Naruto. I can see why you'd be into her."
"Don't be such a pedophile, Ero-sensei!" Naruto shouted.
"I'm not! I'm just saying if I was twelve, I'd be into her too! I'm saying you have good taste, boy!" Jiraiya argued with Naruto.
Sakura was suddenly and intensely uncomfortable. She snuck back away from the two boisterous arguers, seeking safe-haven. Her choices were Kushina and the Hokage or Sasuke. She chose Sasuke.
"Hi, Sasuke," she smiled. "This is quite the get together, isn't it?"
He grunted. "Yeah. A real gathering of legends. And none of them want to teach anything," he frowned.
Sakura sat silently, unsure of how to respond. She was very uncomfortable with just about everyone in the room. She quietly looked around, hoping to find someone who would be better company than Sasuke, who was in one of his moods, apparently. She remembered the genjutsu as she looked around and decided, finally, to break it.
She looked at one of the pictures. Then over at Naruto, who was still arguing with Jiraiya-sama. Then back at the pictures. Then to Jiraiya and Naruto. Then back to the pictures.
"No way," she whispered, her face draining of all color. "No," she whispered as she slowly stood. "This is completely unfair," she shook.
"WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME—" Sakura started to scream, but Sasuke clamped his hand over her mouth before she could finish.
—Training ground 17, the night before the exams—
Naruto had fifty shadow clones practicing the basic jutsu and control exercises that he knew in various combinations. Some practiced body-flicker while keeping a leaf on their foreheads. Some practiced tree-climbing then water-walking and back. Some practiced replacement while under a henge transformation. Some threw kunai at targets while others tried to block and interfere. He wasn't happy with just practicing basic techniques, but he was sure that he could convince someone he knew to teach him more eventually. And Jiraiya had drilled him with the idea that "learning the basics creates a foundation for learning more complex ideas" during his initial academy days.
After practicing all day, Naruto was getting tired. His clones started dispelling and he could feel that he was running low on chakra. 'Just a little more,' he thought as he tried to draw more chakra.
'JUST WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO?' a strange, deep voice boomed from everywhere.
"Who's there?" Naruto asked as the world started to fade. But instead of the normal black that accompanied unconsciousness, he found himself underground, in front of a massive gate with a shallow, endless puddle of water underfoot.
'YOU DON'T HAVE ANY CHAKRA LEFT AND I DIDN'T SAY THAT YOU COULD HAVE ANY OF MINE, BOY,' the same voice rumbled from the darkness beyond the gate.
'Who are you?' Naruto asked, approaching the gate cautiously.
A wave of hate washed out from behind the bars of the gate, but Naruto just stood there, letting it wash past him. He could feel the chakra in it and that it had filled him with as much chakra as he had first thing in the morning.
'We're inside of me, aren't we? Who are you? What is this?' Naruto asked again.
'BREAK THE SEAL AND LET ME OUT!' the voice rumbled. Naruto looked up and saw a paper seal over the lock that kept the gate closed. The seal looked oddly familiar, but he couldn't place it. He hesitated for a few long seconds before a giant, angry, red fox head snapped at the gate. 'LET ME OUT!'
Naruto jumped in surprise. 'Not if you're going to snap at me! And you won't even tell me your name! I'm outta here.'
The world came back into focus, but it was tinged in red. Naruto started practicing again and found that he was much faster and stronger than normal. It was almost like when he used body-flicker except he wasn't just faster and it wasn't just in the instant like body-flicker.
'I have to remember to look into this after the exams,' he thought as he practiced.
—The chunin exams, second floor—
"Get out of here, scum," a voice said coldly. "You'll never pass anyway, so just go home."
The sign above the door read "302" and two boys were blocking the door. Sakura had seen through a much better genjutsu just a few days before, so she easily saw through it. Sasuke just watched as a boy in green spandex got up said, "I am sorry, but I must go into the test room. I am aware that we are not permitted to fight outside of the exam, but if you do not allow me inside, I will have to force my way through."
Naruto looked at his teammates and said, "Should we help him? I thought that this was a team thing. Where's his team?"
A boy with long, dark hair and strange lavender eyes tapped the green spandex boy on the shoulder. "Lee, come on. There are other ways in. Let's go."
Lee looked like he was about to explode, but said, "Of course, Neji. Let us go through another entrance."
"Come on, guys," Naruto said calmly as the three went up to the third floor, where the exam would take place. The room was filled with many genin teams. There were headbands from the five major villages and several minor villages.
Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino were there already. They were talking to another team that had graduated with their class. The first was a scruffy looking boy with a puppy on his head. The second was the very shy Hinata, whose eyes were the same as that boy from downstairs, now that Naruto had a chance to take a good look at her. The third was another quiet one that Naruto didn't immediately recognize.
"You're here too? How troublesome," Shikamaru commented as Team 7 approached.
"Is this our entire genin class?" Naruto asked with a smile. "Man, we're all doing great if we're all up for chunin so soon, right?"
"How did you make it, dead-last?" the boy with the dog sneered. "You barely passed the genin exams. Sasuke must be carrying you."
Ino had already snuggled right up to Sasuke. Sakura just felt ashamed for her friend. She was sizing up the other genin. Most were at least a year older than their class.
Naruto laughed. "Yeah, Sasuke is carrying us."
Shikamaru just repeated, "How troublesome."
An older boy with greyish hair and purple clothes came over to the genin group. "Hello there! I see that you're new. Would you like some help? I have these neat data cards that I've compiled over the years to help me strategize. My name is Kabuto, by the way."
"Sure!" said the boy with the dog.
"Who've you got info on?" Naruto asked, skeptically. "Let's see our cards first."
The purple boy pulled out nine cards and charged them with a miniscule amount of chakra, which caused the underlying images to become visible.
"That's a neat trick," Naruto commented, taking his card. It read:
**Uzumaki, Naruto**
**Chakra control: 1.5/10**
**Chakra level: 9/10**
**Academics: 1/10**
**D-rank missions: 87/87**
**C-rank missions: 14/14**
**Known ninjutsu: Shadow Clones, Replacement, Clones, Transformation, Sexy Technique**
**Known genjutsu: none**
**Known taijutsu: basic, self-taught**
**Other known jutsu: none**
**Elemental Affinity: Unknown**
**Kekkei genkai: Unknown; probably none**
Naruto chuckled. "I wouldn't put too much stock in his information, guys. He's pretty far off the mark."
Naruto tried to channel just a tiny amount of chakra into the card, trying to do what Kabuto had done, but instead of going blank, the card flared up like a flashbulb and burnt out.
"Dammit. I should have known you'd fry it!" Kabuto lamented. "It even hinted at it on the card!"
"Since you've got it memorized anyway, I guess it wasn't that big of a deal," Naruto said, secretly guilty that he'd burned out the card. He handed back the blackened square anyway. "Sorry that I burnt it though."
"TAKE YOUR SEATS!" boomed a tall, scarred man wearing a black leather coat at the head of the room. Everyone scurried into seats. They took the nearest available seats, since nobody knew if there were any assigned seats. The man didn't seem to care. "Welcome to the first part of the chunin exam. This is the written exam. You will have fifty minutes to complete the first nine questions. I will then give you the tenth question and you will have ten minutes remaining. Anyone caught cheating will be dismissed, along with the rest of their team." He set a clock with a timer in front of the class and hit the start button saying, "Begin!"
Naruto didn't have a problem with the first nine questions. He knocked it out in about twenty minutes, deciding to take a nap until the tenth question.
"… choice," the same voice woke Naruto. "You can take the tenth question, but if you fail, you will never be able to take the exam again. This is it. If you decide to back out, you can take the exam again later, but your whole team will leave with you. Will you continue? Make your decisions."
Naruto looked around the room and noticed a few teams backing out, mostly from other nations. The clock continued ticking, but it didn't look like anyone else was backing out. Naruto was surprised that the shy girl stuck it out. She didn't seem that self-confident, but he mentally cheered, 'That's right! Don't let anyone intimidate you!'
He slammed his hand down with a loud thud and yelled, "Hurry up, already. No one else is leaving, so give us the question. Get on with it!"
"You didn't notice?" the large man asked coldly. "I already asked the tenth question."
Sudden realization dawned on Naruto. The man had asked, "Will you continue?" And that was the only question that mattered in the written exam.
The timer still ticked down, but nobody else left. There were still sixteen teams in the massive room and, as if on cue, when the timer went off, Anko appeared in the window. "Are you losing your touch, Ibiki? There's so many!" she commented.
"Just a solid group this year, Anko. Now take them to the next part of the exam," the scarred man said.
"Well, we'll cut this group in half, at least, before the finals," Anko replied casually. "Follow me!"
She led the remaining teams into the heart of the village, where there was a table set up with two bins of scrolls and a group of proctors. There were more proctors than teams.
"Listen up, kids! Normally, we'd do something dangerous and deadly that would eliminate a bunch of you, but you all got lucky this year because we're doing a wholly new elimination contest. Each team is going to sign up over here," she pointed to some proctors, "and then a proctor will remove one scroll from one of these two bins. The proctor will then go into the merchant district, where many of you have been staying, and hide the scroll somewhere. There are two different scrolls. One is a white 'heaven' scroll while the other is a brown 'earth' scroll. In order to pass, your entire team must bring one of each type, two scrolls, back here by sunrise tomorrow. The catch is that there will be proctors roaming the merchant district and if they catch you, you must give up one scroll. You may not kill. You may not injure civilians. You may not cause property damage or steal anything but the scrolls. Anyone who breaks those rules will be sanctioned. Don't break a treaty just to make chunin, kiddies."
'Suck it, Ibiki. This is even better than the Forest of Death. Now the best infiltrators will fight each other and not the best survivalists,' Anko thought.
"There will be a ten minute delay once a proctor takes the last scroll before you may begin. Anyone not familiar with the merchant district, we have maps with the border streets marked here. Now sign up and get moving. Time's wasting!"
Having home-field advantage was huge for the genin of Team 7. Naruto knew all of the best hiding places throughout the village as well, so they never got nabbed by proctors. Shikamaru's team and a team from Mist managed to beat them to the return station, but third of eight wasn't bad. A team from sand came in a few minutes behind Team 7, but Team 7 was already half asleep when that team came in.
Chapter 7
"Normally, we would have simply given you all a month to prepare for the finals. But this year seems to have an abnormal number of passing teams, so we're going to have to have some preliminary matches," the Hokage announced.
Eight teams remained after the infiltration test. All of them gathered in a closed arena with their jonin-senseis to hear about the next phase of the exam. Naruto noted the other teams and the jonin on catwalks.
Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Hinata, Shino, Kiba with his dog, Lee, Neji, and a dark-haired girl who Naruto didn't know were all of the Leaf ninja who had made it. He saw Kakashi on the catwalk with a jonin wearing green spandex who looked just like Lee, but older. Among the Leaf jonin, there was a woman with long, dark hair and red eyes next to a tall man with short, spikey black hair and a beard.
There was a team from Sand, Clouds, Rocks, and Mist each. The Mist jonin was a tall woman with long, auburn hair and green eyes. Naruto recognized her from his first C-rank mission. He hadn't had much contact with any of the genin, but he knew that ninja would be tricky no matter what and wasn't overconfident.
"…at random, so make your way to the catwalks with your jonin-sensei," the Hokage finished.
'Crap. I wasn't paying attention to what the old man was saying. Here's hoping I'm not first up,' Naruto thought.
The entire group of genin proceeded up the catwalks while a proctor waited in the middle of the arena. Everyone was looking up at a giant board expectantly. Two names came up: Choji Akimichi and not Naruto. Choji hopped into the arena along with one of the ninja with a Rock symbol on his forehead protector.
The proctor called, "Fight!" and Choji took up a defensive stance. The Rock-nin pulled out a kunai and threw it, but Choji dodged. When Choji dodged, the other ninja made hand signs and a wall of earth came up in front and behind Choji. The other ninja made more signs and the walls smashed into each other, but Choji broke the walls by expanding his body.
Choji turned into an oversized bowling ball and rolled around, chasing the ninja from Rock, until the Rock ninja made more hand signs and trapped Choji in a giant earthen box. After a few minutes of slamming noises from the inside of the box, the proctor called the match for the Rock ninja.
The giant board changed and two more names came up. Naruto didn't recognize either, but a ninja from Mist with a sword and a ninja from Cloud with a sword hopped down into the arena. That battle was short, because the Cloud-nin charged his sword with lightning and cut the Mist-nin's sword in half and then stabbed the Mist-nin through the arm, pinning the Mist-nin to the wall while his other hand held a kunai at the Mist-nin's throat. The proctor called the match for the Cloud-nin.
The giant board changed again, reading "Naruto Uzumaki" and "Kankuro of the Desert." Naruto hopped down as did the Sand ninja dressed in black with strange face paint. Kankuro had a bundle on his back that Naruto wondered about, but he got into a fighting stance.
The proctor called, "Fight!" and Naruto body-flickered at the same time creating four shadow clones. He hit Kankuro, knocking the Sand genin back, but Kankuro's head opened up, revealing a nozzle that hissed at Naruto. Naruto replaced himself with a shadow clone that dispersed as it inhaled poison gas and three others body-flickered around the puppet. One hit the puppet with a low sweep kick, the second simultaneously hit it with a roundhouse kick to the torso, and a split second later the third dropped an axe kick, breaking the strange puppet into pieces with an explosion and a crack in the ground beneath it. The cloud of puppet pieces dispelled the three clones.
As the shadow-clones were dismantling the puppet, Naruto body-flickered to the Sand ninja who was controlling the puppet and kicked him with a roundhouse kick hard enough to make a wet crunch sound and send the Sand ninja flying hard to the ground. Some of the jonin were making conversation, but the conversations ended when Naruto destroyed the puppet and crunched the puppeteer at the same time.
The proctor called the match when it was obvious that Kankuro had a broken arm and several broken ribs. "Sorry I kicked you so hard," Naruto said to the injured Kankuro who had a terrified look plastered on his face. "I thought you were another puppet," Naruto tried to explain, but the medics carted the Sand-nin off out of the arena.
Naruto returned to the catwalk where the jonin in green spandex approached him. "The flames of your youth burn bright, Naruto!" the man exclaimed.
"Uhh… Yeah. Right. Who are you again?" Naruto asked, confused.
"I am Might Gai! Kakashi's eternal rival!" Gai exclaimed. "Your taijutsu is nearly as good as my beautiful student, Lee!"
'Yeah, except he flawlessly mixed basic ninjutsu into his taijutsu,' thought the bearded jonin. 'His taijutsu is close to jonin level and the skill of the ninjutsu that he employed is nearly the same. But the council will have a hard time approving the kid for promotion. I'm glad none of my students had to fight him.'
"Just watch, sensei! I will prove that someone can be a ninja even without ninjutsu and genjutsu!" exclaimed the miniature version of the green-spandex jonin.
The board flickered, quickly diverting Naruto's attention from the weird pair, showing Hinata Hyuuga and Temari of the Desert. The shyest girl from their class jumped down along with the blonde girl with a giant fan from the Sand.
"Do your best, Hinata!" Naruto cheered. The girl had obvious self-confidence problems and Naruto didn't see anyone else jumping into her corner, but no sooner had he cheered, Kiba yelled out,
"Come on Hinata! You can beat her!"
The proctor yelled, "Fight!" and Hinata took up a strange taijutsu stance. Naruto looked at the rest of the genin from his class. Only Naruto and Kiba were cheering.
"Come on, guys. Show your support for your comrade! GO HINATA! YOU CAN DO IT!" he shouted.
Shikamaru, Ino, Lee, and Shino joined Kiba and Naruto in cheering for Hinata. Temari was staying away from Hinata and Hinata had activated her byakugan. Temari used her massive fan to unleash a wind ninjutsu, but Hinata rapidly spun around, creating a dome of chakra that diverted the jutsu.
'They're all cheering for me! I can't let them down!' Hinata thought as she ran forward, attempting to strike the elusive Sand-nin, but Temari was faster, keeping Hinata at bay. Hinata pulled several kunai out and threw them at Temari, hoping that it would force the Sand-nin into a close-combat battle, but the kunai merely missed. Hinata could see the wind that Temari had used to divert the kunai and knew that the battle would come down to which one of them had more stamina.
After many long minutes of battle, Hinata ran out of chakra diverting one of Temari's wind jutsu and the match ended when she collapsed from exhaustion and the wind jutsu tossed her across the arena, but it was longer than many on the catwalks thought it would be, especially Neji and Gaara.
Kakashi turned to the woman with red eyes and said, "You look surprised, Kurenai."
"She's never fought so hard is all," Kurenai mumbled. "I wonder what it was that finally motivated her."
"I wonder," Kakashi smiled behind his mask while reading his romance novel.
Naruto turned to the arena where Sakura and a girl with two buns in her brown hair were about to start. Naruto noted that the other name on the board was Tenten.
"Come on, Sakura! You can do it!" he cheered.
Both kunoichi took taijutsu stances. Tenten started by throwing several kunai and throwing stars at Sakura, but Sakura dodged with a body-flicker and engaged Tenten up close. Tenten pulled out a kunai, slashing at Sakura, but Sakura back-flipped away, drawing a kunai of her own. Sakura quickly pressed back in, kunai in hand, but the two were near even at taijutsu.
'This only worked on Naruto the first time, but maybe I'll get lucky and Tenten hasn't trained against genjutsu like we have,' Sakura thought.
Sakura took the initiative and quickly made the hand signs for the one genjutsu she had learned from Kakashi, putting Tenten into the Hell-Viewing Jutsu. Using her opponent's momentary paralysis, Sakura rapidly struck Tenten from behind, knocking Tenten out.
"Well, my eternal rival," Gai started, "it seems that your student has surpassed mine. I will ensure that my student trains even harder from now on!"
The board flickered, reading Neji Hyuuga and one of the Cloud kunoichi. Both jumped into the arena, ready for battle.
"Fate has decreed that I will win. There is no shame in surrender," Neji droned at the Cloud kunoichi before the proctor even started the match.
"Shut up and fight, you fatalistic freak," the Cloud kunoichi spat back.
"Fight!" shouted the proctor.
Neji activated his byakugan and the kunoichi started with hand signs. Neji paused for a moment before blinking once and moving toward the kunoichi. She simply started a new set of hand signs, which ultimately did nothing to stop Neji's advance.
'Using genjutsu against the byakugan. Bad idea, sweetie,' Kurenai thought. 'That's almost as useless as using genjutsu against the sharingan.'
Neji closed and began striking softly. The kunoichi from Clouds thought she was blocking his strikes, but Neji began ticking off numbers.
"Two," he started. "Four," he said a moment later. "Eight," he rapidly progressed. "Sixteen," he mumbled as his strikes gained even more speed. "Thirty-two," he said as the kunoichi noticed that she wasn't able to block anymore. "Sixty-four," he said as the kunoichi felt exhausted. "Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms," Neji breathed. He could see that the girl's entire chakra network was shut down. "You cannot continue. Fate has spoken," Neji intoned as he walked back to the catwalk.
The girl managed to stand up and trip herself, falling unconscious to the ground. The proctor called the match. The board flickered, showing Kiba Inuzuka and one of the Mist ninja. Naruto was stunned at Neji's cold demeanor, while Lee said with as much determination as Naruto had ever heard, "That is my main competition. I will defeat him."
The proctor yelled, "Fight!" and the Mist-nin unleashed a white fog that covered the entire battlefield. Kiba yelled in animalistic fury and a twister erupted from the mist to strike down again. The Mist-nin had a sword out which had blocked Kiba's attack, but his sword was now cracked.
"How did you find me?" the Mist-nin asked.
"Pfft. There's more than one sense," Kiba scoffed.
"I see," the Mist-nin muttered, already making hand signs. "Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu!" A giant water dragon erupted from the dissipating mist, but Kiba responded with his own attack. "Garoga!" Kiba and Akamaru were identical, but they spun together, creating the vortex to strike directly at the water jutsu. The Mist-nin ended the water jutsu, but threw a storm of kunai and shuriken forcing Kiba and Akamaru to dodge backward while he made several hand signs.
"Water Style: Rotting Mist!" The Mist-nin summoned a fogbank of acrid yellow, but this time Kiba and Akamaru screamed as soon as they smelled it. Kiba yelled out that he resigned the match before the Mist-nin had a chance to attack.
The board flickered again, showing Sasuke Uchiha and Rock Lee. Lee jumped down to the arena, taking up a taijutsu stance. Sasuke activated his sharingan and took up a defensive stance. The proctor yelled, "Fight!" and Lee swiftly moved in to engage Sasuke. Lee wasn't as fast as a body-flicker and Sasuke was accustomed to fighting three or four body-flickering Naruto's simultaneously, so he was able to keep up with Lee, but only just.
Lee struck with a more refined leg sweep than Naruto, spinning up into an axe kick that dropped onto Sasuke's block. Sasuke rolled with the kick and tumbled to the side. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" A ball of fire blasted out of Sasuke's mouth, forcing Lee to retreat. Sasuke followed it up with half a dozen kunai thrown at several spots around Lee, hoping that at least one would find a home. Lee dodged them all and ran in to engage again.
Sasuke whipped down into the same sweep kick that Lee had previously used against him, but Lee picked up both legs and launched like a missile at Sasuke, striking him in the chest with both feet. Sasuke rolled again, throwing Lee off. Sasuke body-flickered behind Lee, trying to grab the taijutsu expert. Lee felt Sasuke behind him and whispered, "Gate of Opening," as the first of his eight gates opened and he evaded Sasuke's grasp.
"How many gates can Lee open?" Kakashi asked Gai.
"Five," Gai smiled and then he yelled, "Remove your training weights, my precious student!"
Both combatants looked up at the catwalk, but Lee replied, "But Sensei—"
"DON'T ARGUE! JUST DO IT, LEE!" Gai screamed.
"I'll wait," Sasuke said. Lee took off the heavy weights that had been around his ankles, which fell to the ground with a loud clang. "Can we continue?" Sasuke asked. Lee nodded, moving almost as fast as a body-flicker.
Sasuke continued blocking, still accustomed to three or four simultaneous attacks. Compared to Lee's rapid succession of attacks, he could still keep up a good defense, but a single target was much more difficult to hit than three or four targets. Lee partially unraveled the bandages on his hands and forearms, continuing his assault on Sasuke. Sasuke dropped his defense to see what Lee would do and Lee wrapped him in his hanging bandages.
As Lee began his spin, Sasuke used a shadow-clone as a replacement and watched the technique from two angles. His shadow-clone dispersed, leaving Lee triumphant, until Lee realized that it had been a shadow-clone. Sasuke engaged Lee again, this time using Lee's own moves against him. Lee had long practiced with Gai using the same techniques, so he simply whispered, "Gate of Healing," and fought harder.
Sasuke, having seen how to open the first gate from Lee replied, "Gate of Opening," and increased his speed to keep up with Lee.
"How many gates can Sasuke open?" Gai asked Kakashi.
"I have no idea. I never taught him the technique," Kakashi replied.
"Without physical training, it is impossible to learn to open the gates," Gai retorted.
"Sasuke trains with Naruto every day," Kakashi countered.
Gai grumbled as he watched his student's skin turn red and muttered, "Gate of Life."
Sasuke kept up with Lee only due to his intense training with Naruto and the benefit of his sharingan. He had no illusions that he would be able to keep up without either of those advantages. "Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Fire Jutsu!" Sasuke unleashed a swarm of fireballs at Lee as he tossed shuriken at the speeding, green taijutsu freak. Lee batted the fireballs, seeming to ignore them as he flew toward Sasuke.
'Maybe if I open that second gate? Shit! He's starting to move faster than I can,' Sasuke thought as he opened the second gate. The two furiously fought for long seconds before Sasuke had a realization. 'Dammit. This is stupid! He admitted that he can't use genjutsu or ninjutsu. He's only used taijutsu so far, so he probably can't defend against it.' Sasuke locked eyes with the furious Lee before disengaging and watching Lee fight harder and harder against an illusory enemy. Lee opened the fourth gate, but Gai stepped in realizing that Lee was trapped in Sasuke's simple genjutsu. The proctor called the match as soon as Gai intervened.
The board flashed, showing Shino Aburame and the last Mist ninja. The two met in the arena and the proctor yelled, "Fight!" The Mist-nin started making hand signs, but a swarm of insects surrounded the poor girl. Shino remained calm in the middle of the massive insect swarm.
"You'll find that I'm not susceptible to genjutsu," Shino commented as the girl tried two different genjutsu on him.
"No! I CAN'T lose!" she screamed as the insects drained her chakra.
"It's unfortunate that you were paired with me then, because you WILL lose," Shino stated as the girl started to waver. She threw a kunai that Shino easily avoided. The proctor called the match as the girl collapsed from exhaustion moments later.
"How boring," the Mist jonin commented.
The board flickered again, revealing Ino Yamanaka and the last kunoichi from Cloud. She hopped down into the arena and the two stared at each other before the proctor yelled, "Fight!" Ino left strands of her hair as traps all over the arena while the other kunoichi charged her body with lightning chakra.
Ino backed herself against a wall as the Cloud kunoichi tried to run through her hair traps, but it gave Ino enough time to aim her Mind Body Switch Jutsu. Ino's body collapsed as she inhabited the Cloud kunoichi. As the Cloud kunoichi, she said, "I quit."
The proctor said, "Okay. Since Ino Yamanaka is unconscious and you quit, both of you lose the match."
Ino released the jutsu and stood up in her own body screaming about it being unfair. After several minutes of heated dispute, she decided against revealing her clan's signature intelligence gathering technique and took the loss.
The board flickered to reveal Shikamaru Nara and the kunoichi from Rock. He strolled down to the arena floor and started to say, "I quit," but before he got it out, Ino yelled, "If you quit, I'll tell your mother!"
"How troublesome," Shikamaru muttered. "Let's get this over with."
"Fight!" the proctor yelled.
Shikamaru threw out several kunai, some of which had exploding tags to distract the kunoichi. She dodged and started making hand signs, but Shikamaru said, "Shadow Possession Jutsu, complete," and the kunoichi found she was frozen in place. Shikamaru walked backward and she walked backward until she bumped into the arena wall. Shikamaru said, "Sorry about this, but this was the fastest way to get this over with," as he bent forward and so did she. He whipped his head backwards into empty space, but the kunoichi knocked herself out on the wall. The proctor called the match.
The board flickered again and the last two names came up. Gaara of the Desert and the last ninja from Rock entered the arena. "Will you prove my existence?" Gaara said, bloodlust dripping from his voice.
The proctor yelled, "Fight!" and the Rock-nin made hand signs in rapid succession. The Rock-nin fired off a bunch of rocks at Gaara, but sand always intercepted the bullets. Nothing managed to penetrate as the Rock-nin tried attack after attack. Gaara finally got bored and the sand formed a claw, grabbing the Rock-nin and slamming him into the ground with a cough of blood. The sand continued to crush the Rock-nin after the proctor called the match, forcing the Sand Jonin to step in and calm Gaara, who just kept muttering, "Kill! Kill! Kill!"
The jonin and remaining genin gathered in front of the Hokage. "Before you take a month to prepare yourselves, you will all draw numbers to determine your matches in the public arena," the Hokage said with practiced authority. "Step forward and draw your numbers."
The proctors called out numbers as they filled out a chart. Neji would fight Sakura. Sasuke would fight Gaara. Naruto would fight the Mist-nin. The Cloud-nin would fight the Rock-nin. Shino would fight Temari. And Shikamaru would skip the first round.
—Naruto's house, that evening—
"We all made it!" Naruto exclaimed to Kushina and Jiraiya. "The whole team is in the finals!"
Sasuke sat quietly on the couch, reading a book of poetry that he'd come to enjoy after picking it up some years ago.
"Who do you have to fight, Naruto?" Jiraiya asked, genuinely curious. He hadn't been to a chunin exam since his own decades ago, but he planned to see Naruto's chunin exam. 'And that's why you master the basics,' he thought.
"Some guy from Mist," Naruto said. "Sasuke has to fight that crazy sand guy and Sakura is going to fight Neji."
"I'll work on a training program after I talk to Kakashi, Naruto, but I expect that you three will start training separately," Jiraiya explained. "You might have to fight each other in later rounds, so it makes sense to give you all the best chance of success."
"Kakashi already spoke to me, Jiraiya. He expects that you'll train Naruto and since Kurenai has a student in the finals and he doesn't want to call in any other favors, I'm going to train Sakura, while he trains Sasuke," Kushina explained.
They were all surprised by the knock at the door. Everyone except the Hokage that they knew usually used the window. Naruto opened the door to find Hinata, looking petrified.
"H-hello, N-Naruto," she stammered.
Naruto looked outside, down the hall both ways, while Hinata stood stunned at Naruto's abrupt response. "Hi, Hinata! You'd better come in before the hall-monster get you," he teased. Hinata didn't know how to respond.
Kushina pushed Naruto out of the way and said to the terrified girl, "Why don't you come in and have some tea? It'll calm your nerves and we can chat like civilized people," with a warm, welcoming smile.
Hinata entered slowly, sitting in a chair whispering, "Thank you, Uzumaki-san." She looked at Jiraiya, who stared at her and Sasuke, who ignored her.
"Damn, boy! You got girls knocking down the door to get to you!" Jiraiya exclaimed as Naruto and Jiraiya started another boisterous argument over the propriety of commenting on Naruto's non-existent love life. Naruto led the sannin to the couch where they would bother Sasuke instead of Hinata.
'Damn, she's cute. And not already hung up on Sasuke,' Naruto thought while he argued. 'But she's the heir to a major clan, so maybe it isn't the best idea to get tangled up with her.'
Hinata sipped her tea while Jiraiya and Naruto made noise in the background. Kushina gave her a reassuring look and said, "Now then. What can I do for you, Hyuuga-sama?"
"Please, call me Hinata," Hinata started. "I know that I'm not in the finals, but I was wondering if you wouldn't mind training me. You are reputed to have the most stamina of any kunoichi in history and I am weak in that area. Additionally, I thought that I might include Sakura because she is going to fight my cousin and I would dearly like to see him lose."
'This is perfect! It couldn't have worked out better if someone was planning it!' Kushina thought. "I think that we can arrange that, Hinata. But will your family have any problems with it?"
"My father is grooming my sister to take over the clan and my team won't be on any missions, so I doubt he would have noticed, but I asked him before I came here anyway and he told me that it wouldn't bother him," Hinata explained.
"ALL HYUUGA WOMEN HAVE GIANT BREASTS!" Jiraiya screamed, holding his hands in front of his chest. Hinata blushed, but pretended not to hear it.
"SHE'S RIGHT OVER THERE AND WE'RE ONLY THIRTEEN, YOU OBNOXIOUS, PERVERTED, PEDOPHILE!" Naruto screamed back.
"I'M SAYING FOR YOU NOT FOR ME! AND I'M JUST A PERVERT! I'M NOT A PEDOPHILE!" Jiraiya defended, before noticing Kushina, Sasuke, Naruto, and Hinata all staring at him. He stopped screaming and calmly said, "Right. I'll go find a hotel then," fleeing out the window at top speed, fearing for his life.
Chapter 8
"There's an OWNER'S MANUAL for the sharingan!?" Kakashi asked Sasuke as the two entered the Uchiha family temple, displaying an uncharacteristic level of surprise. Sasuke brought Kakashi into the secret room under the temple to get Kakashi to teach him to unlock more aspects of his own sharingan, not realizing that Kakashi had never seen it.
"All Uchiha know about the stone under the temple," Sasuke explained. "It's amazing that you've managed to mature the sharingan that you have without any instruction, Kakashi-sensei. Even with the instructions, not every member of the Uchiha clan awakened or fully developed their sharingan."
The two read the face of the large tablet before activating their sharingan eyes. The tablet looked different under Kakashi's single, fully developed eye than it did to Sasuke's two, under-developed eyes.
—Training Ground 4—
"After you sign the contract, you'll be able to attempt summoning the toads," Jiraiya lectured.
"Yes. I understand, Pervy-sensei. Pull out the scroll already!" Naruto exclaimed.
Jiraiya pulled out the scroll and Naruto signed it. Before Jiraiya even rolled up the scroll, Naruto ran through the summoning seals and pumped as much chakra as his highly overdeveloped chakra network could produce into the very exact seal for summoning. Gamabunta appeared under the startled blonde.
"I knew all of the practice would pay off!" Jiraiya noted.
The enormous toad looked around before grumbling, "What the hell, Jiraiya? I don't see a battle. And why are you down there?"
Jiraiya chuckled, "I'm not the one who summoned you," as he pointed to the blonde standing atop the giant frog.
"Who are you?" the toad rumbled.
"Naruto Uzumaki," Naruto introduced. "What's your name, big guy?"
"I am Gamabunta and if you want to summon the toad clan, then you have to prove yourself worthy," the toad boomed.
"How does that work?" Naruto asked.
"Hang on," Gamabunta muttered as he started jumping around.
—Uzumaki apartment—
"What do you mean, I have to take off my clothes?" Sakura exclaimed.
"You're fighting a Hyuuga. We just so happen to have one of our own. You are going to learn where each and every one of your tenketsu are located. You are going to learn it because you won't be able to stop Neji from closing them. You are going to learn it because you are NOT going to lose in the first thirty seconds of the match. Now shut up and strip so Hinata can put the henna paint on you," Kushina admonished.
Hinata stood in Kushina's bedroom with her byakugan active and a needle with henna paint in her hand. It wasn't as if Hinata couldn't see through all of Sakura's clothes anyway.
—Uchiha temple, underground—
"We have more training to do," Kakashi said. "We should leave."
"But what if there's more?" Sasuke asked.
"We won't learn it by staring at the stone," Kakashi replied.
"Right," Sasuke stated, not looking away.
Kakashi grabbed the boy by the collar and dragged him out into the night sky. They'd been staring at the stone tablet all day.
—Training Ground 4—
"You've read about chakra natures, so I won't bore you by repeating it. Right now though, you're going to train all five. I don't expect that you'll master all of them, but with shadow-clones to cheat, you'll get the most out of your time," Jiraiya started.
"Why can't you just teach me some jutsus?" Naruto whined.
"Because you want to be able to do any jutsu, not just one jutsu. Your control is great right now, but you need to learn to change your chakra nature," Jiraiya explained.
"So I'll just make a hundred clones and then we'll all work on the exercises," Naruto grumbled.
"No. You'll make 25 clones and then you will do taijutsu training and meditation with me, dispelling and creating one group every ten minutes. A mass of clones will eventually have minor differences and through trial and error, you'll find ways to do better at each exercise, individually. Each clone you'll be using will be trying a slightly different, but related exercise so that anything that one clone in each group learns can apply to any of the other clones in the group. This will make your training much more efficient so that you will learn how to change chakra natures much more quickly than the months or years that it might normally take," Jiraiya lectured.
"I think I get it. Start showing me the exercises," Naruto said as he created 25 shadow clones.
—Private Training Ground 3—
"You've got the speed down and, thanks to Lee and your training with Naruto, you've already figured out how to unlock two of the gates, but you'll have to rest up before you can do that again. Since we wasted yesterday reading the tablet in the Uchiha shrine, we'll have to make up for that today by moving extremely fast. Keep your sharingan active for as long as you can and let me know if I move too fast for you to keep up," Kakashi lectured as he started to fight Sasuke.
—Uzumaki apartment—
"This henna stuff doesn't come off, Kushina-san," Sakura whined.
"That's the point. It'll last for a month and we only had to apply it once. Start where we left off. Try to open your tenketsu after Hinata shuts it," Kushina lectured, reading a magazine advertisement for a hot spring. "Once you can do that, you'll be ready for the next phase of your training. Beating Neji will be meaningless if you can't at least put up a good fight to whoever is after him."
—Training Ground 4—
"I've mastered the wind nature exercises, Pervy-sensei," Naruto crowed.
"Perfect. Now try using wind chakra in the techniques that you already know with it," Jiraiya muttered while looking through binoculars.
"Can't you stop looking at the springs for five minutes to teach me something!" Naruto exclaimed.
"I AM teaching you something! You just aren't learning it! Now do what I say until you've mastered all five elements!" Jiraiya shot back.
—Private Training Ground 3—
"Faster, Sasuke!" Kakashi yelled as a fist shot out. "You have to be faster if you want to activate the third tomoe!" as he activated genjutsu distractions in rapid succession.
"GAH! You're trying to KILL me!" Sasuke screamed.
"Maybe. Maybe not. But Gaara most certainly will! Don't quit!" Kakashi screamed.
—Uzumaki apartment—
"So you can open and close your tenketsu at will, without striking them?" Kushina asked.
Sakura swore, "Not yet. Don't we have other things to study though?"
"Not until you can open and close your tenketsu without your hands," Kushina said flatly.
"Kushina-san?" Hinata asked. "How is this helping my stamina?"
"Are you tired at the end of the day?" Kushina asked.
"Yes," Hinata answered.
"Are your muscles sore at the end of the day?" Kushina replied.
"Yes," Hinata answered again.
"It's only been a week. You can't really expect a significant increase in that short time period. Once Sakura starts learning medical ninjutsu in earnest, we should be able to up the training significantly. But we won't be able to start that until she learns to control her tenketsu," Kushina smiled. "So HURRY UP, SAKURA!" she yelled.
And then Kushina went back to reading another magazine.
—Training Ground 4—
"When I use wind chakra with shadow-clones, I can't make any clones. When I use wind chakra with body-flicker, I just get a gust of wind with me when I move and I can keep going for much longer than normal. What use is that?" Naruto asked.
"Have you tried body-flicker on just one part of your body at a time instead of your whole body at once?" Jiraiya asked.
"Wait. You can do that?" Naruto responded.
"Yes. Now try it with neutral chakra, then with wind chakra," Jiraiya whispered through a hangover. "And let me know when you can do anything with any other nature," he said as he nodded off in a lounge chair.
—Private Training Ground 3—
Kakashi pulled up his headband to reveal his own three-tomoe sharingan. "You have to be faster, Sasuke, or I will definitely kill you," he intoned with deadly intent. "Dodging or opening any gates won't save you. You have to perceive faster."
'How the hell am I supposed to DO that?' Sasuke thought as Kakashi started moving ever faster.
Kakashi fought harder and faster, keeping his demeanor cold and cruel until Sasuke couldn't keep up. He threw kunai closer and closer to Sasuke, waiting for Sasuke's eyes to morph into the three-tomoe sharingan that indicated it had reached full maturity.
'I still have three days to get his sharingan to mature. I don't need to start teaching him the basis of Chidori until then,' Kakashi thought as one of his kunai left a hair-thin streak of blood across Sasuke's arm.
—Leaf Hospital—
"You are going to learn two basic healing techniques. The first is how to repair minor damage. The second is how to reinforce tissues and project your chakra into a blow. Hinata is going to come with me and we'll be back when I have to carry her," Kushina explained.
"Are you dumping me off at the hospital to train Hinata?" Sakura asked.
"No. I'm leaving you with experienced medics to teach you the principals involved in the techniques that you are going to need by the time I get done with Hinata," Kushina explained. "You've already studied basic anatomy. Now, you're going to get a four-day crash course and a few rounds in practical application. We'll see where you're at afterward," Kushina lectured. "Hurry up or you'll be late. I had to call in some very old favors to get this for you."
Sakura started following around the medic-nin, asking questions about the two topics Kushina had mentioned, much to the annoyance of the medic-nin.
—Ichiraku Ramen—
"I'm doing much better with earth chakra, but I'm still lagging with fire, lighting, and water. I don't get it. The harder I try, the worse those elements get," Naruto complained over lunch.
"Those elements aren't about pure effort, Naruto. Only earth is about sheer stubbornness. You know that. Focus on what those elements ARE at their cores and you should make some more progress," Jiraiya said between slurps of ramen.
Naruto stopped and slapped his forehead. "Of course! I got wind quickly and have been using it with taijutsu already and earth is coming along, so I've been using the ideas from molding earth and chakra with the other elements, but the ideas are incompatible with the nature of the chakra! Why didn't you tell me that, Pervy-sensei?"
Jiraiya rolled his eyes. "Yeah. Why didn't I tell you that just now," he said flatly.
"I figured out how to use a partial body-flicker with wind chakra to make my blows have a cutting quality though. That was pretty awesome, right?"
Jiraiya looked at his tattered shirt. "It's a great combat technique, Naruto. But your meditation is still terrible. We're going to start doing a stillness exercise tomorrow that will help you a lot in the future."
"But meditation is boring," Naruto whined.
"You'll thank me someday," Jiraiya muttered as he ignored the whining blonde.
—Private Training Ground 3—
"You almost killed me!" Sasuke screamed.
"Your sharingan is now fully matured. It never would have happened without the life-or-death stress," Kakashi defended. "Now we can work on your chakra nature. It should be a matter of days for you to master lightning chakra enough to perform the one unique jutsu that I've created."
"Wait. What? You're going to teach me your unique jutsu? What is it?" Sasuke said, more interested.
"It's an assassination technique. It is purely offensive in nature and it's not something that you should use lightly, but Gaara might not give you a choice and I'm not going to send you to die at his hands in the arena," Kakashi explained.
"So all of this was just training? You weren't trying to kill me?" Sasuke asked.
"I haven't given you a chance to think about it, but I'm a jonin listed in bingo books and you're a genin. If I wanted to kill you, do you really think that it would have taken this long? Hurry up and finish your lunch so that we can get back to training," Kakashi said, already finished with his food.
—Uzumaki apartment—
"How am I supposed to heal a torn muscle? I barely got the theory from that guy at the hospital!" Sakura complained loudly.
"You had four days, you already knew more than half of it, and you've been bragging about your perfect chakra control since we met. Stop being melodramatic and heal Hinata's arm," Kushina brow-beat the pink-haired girl.
"I'm not even sure how!" Sakura went on.
"Figure it out soon or you're going to have to spar with me next," Kushina threatened with a feral grin. "And I make Sasuke and Naruto look like quitters when it comes to stamina."
Sakura screamed with nervous laughter as Hinata quietly waited for the would-be chunin to figure out a healing technique based on theory and perfect chakra control that Hinata knew didn't actually exist yet. Hinata absently thought, 'Poor Sakura. Kushina is really pushing her. But if she can do this, then Neji won't be able to win.'
—Training Ground 4—
"I can't quite use lightning as well as wind or earth, but I'm close. Water is still a problem and fire is barely any better. We've still got a week left. Shouldn't I keep training with the elements, Pervy-sensei?"
"It's time to start incorporating the nature transformations into the jutsu that you already know. Plus, you're going to practice the practical application of seals. I know Kushina has given you scrolls, so we're going to focus primarily on putting what you know to use for the next six days," Jiraiya explained.
"Why not seven days?" Naruto asked.
"You don't want to be totally bushed on the day of the arena, so you'll take the last day to rest. We're going to the hot springs just outside of town. We're meeting Sasuke and Kakashi as well as Kushina, Hinata, and Sakura," Jiraiya smiled.
"You're not implying that you're going to peep on my mother and two of my peers, are you Pervy-sensei?"
"I'm offended, Naruto. There are plenty of other women for me to peep on," Jiraiya smiled. 'And some of them pay for the privilege,' Jiraiya imagined some of his favorite jobs.
—Private Training Ground 3—
Sasuke breathed heavily. He'd just put a hole in a boulder the length of his arm with his Chidori. It was the second of the day and he was nearly exhausted.
"That's it. You can only perform this jutsu twice in a day. Any more and you'll burn out your chakra and your stamina, which would result in your death," Kakashi's arms were folded as he watched. "You have deeper chakra reserves than most ninja your age and you've got a fully mature sharingan."
"But not a Mangekyo Sharingan," Sasuke interrupted.
"What would you rather have: friends or the Mangekyo Sharingan?" Kakashi asked redundantly.
"Can't I have both?" Sasuke asked.
"There is no way that I know of to have both, Sasuke. It's one or the other. Believe me when I tell you that I would trade almost anything to get my friends back. If I had a choice, I would choose friends," Kakashi said forlorn.
—Uzumaki apartment—
"You can knit some of your tissues back together, Sakura, but you can't enhance them with your chakra," Kushina evaluated. "It's a great battlefield tactic, but I was hoping that you'd master the latter rather than the former."
"It's not like I can heal everything, Kushina-san; just minor tears. I don't know how I'm going to beat Neji," Sakura whined.
"Sakura, you'll be sparring against Hinata for the next two days. But you will only defend, never attack. If you don't see the benefit of your training, then I'll happily track down any instructor of your choosing to teach you after the exams," Kushina explained. "Hinata, Sakura has been training with Naruto and Sasuke to get her endurance up. The both of you will keep fighting until I get tired."
"Until I get tired?" the two asked in stereo.
"No. Until I get tired of fighting. I'll be watching from this comfortable lounge chair," Kushina smiled and showed off the lounge chair she'd stolen from Jiraiya.
Hinata and Sakura mentally screamed in horror. Screaming out loud only resulted in Kushina's demented laughter haunting them throughout an exercise.
—Training Ground 4—
"Holy crap! Lightning chakra is the best body-flicker augmentation ever!" Naruto screamed.
"If we had more time, I'd start teaching you some more advanced chakra shaping exercises, but we'll save that for later. Why aren't you using any earth chakra though? You're much better at it than lightning."
"Earth body-flicker is lame. I can barely move. It's not very good for my style and a lightning technique of any kind will punch right through it. Since I don't know any real earth jutsu, I'll just use wind and lightning," Naruto explained.
"If we had more time, I'd teach you some earth techniques, but we have to start making our way to the hot springs. Remember not to give away what we've been training until you fight at the exams," Jiraiya lectured. "Try not to think about it too much. Try to relax tomorrow. Too bad you can't manage to sit still," he muttered.
Chapter 9
"The first match will be Neji Hyuuga and Sakura Haruno," the Hokage spoke. "All other examinees should go to the waiting area."
The clamor of the arena was deafening, but everyone was prepared. The genin knew that it was coming and were only mildly nervous about fighting in front of so many people. Daimyos, jonin, merchants, and many others watched the chunin exams in order to evaluate the strength of the ninja they might hire. Naruto and Sasuke wished Sakura luck before retreating to the staging area in the heart of the arena.
"Your fate is to lose, Sakura. You should learn when to quit before you die," Neji intoned as the proctor looked on.
"Two Kages are here today, so giving up without a fight would be stupid for both of us, Neji. Think a little before you give advice," Sakura smirked.
"Fight!" yelled the proctor, jumping out of the way. Neji assumed a stance that Sakura was already familiar with and Sakura body-flickered into Neji's reach, delivering a light blow to his arm. Neji accepted the blow and struck at one of Sakura's tenketsu, closing it. Sakura jabbed several more times, but Neji just used the opportunity to close more of her tenketsu.
Neji had closed off most of the tenketsu in her left arm and several in her other limbs and torso, but Sakura smiled at him and said, "I hope you've got more than that, Neji, or this fight is going to start going south for you very soon," as she opened the closed tenketsu from her core outward, in sequence. The Hyuuga watching in the stadium gasped along with Neji.
'She can open her tenketsu without touching them? I'll simply have to shut them all down at once,' the arrogant youth thought. "You are in range of my divination, Sakura," he started to tell the pink-haired girl.
"You are in range of my body-flicker, you arrogant ass," Sakura replied as she body-flickered into his blind spot, delivering a hard kick to the boy's back. Neji rolled to the ground, spinning to his feet and rushing close to Sakura, seemingly unfazed.
"Two," he calmly intoned. "Four," he listed, "eight, sixteen, thirty-two, sixty-four. Eight Trigrams Sixty-four Palms," he said, completing the technique that should instantly incapacitate a foe.
"Oh no!" Sakura gasped. "You've shut down sixty-four of my tenketsu! I feel so tired!" There was only the barest flicker of chakra in her core, so close to absolutely nothing that it might as well have been for anyone else. Once a single core tenketsu opened, she started popping more tenketsu open as she spoke, freeing her trapped chakra. "Oh, wait. Nope," she needled. "My turn," she said as she started wailing on the unsuspecting Neji as Hinata's pent up frustrations flooded out of Sakura.
"Vacuum Palm" Neji expressed as he knocked Sakura back. Neji had several light bruises, but the pink-haired girl was not strong enough to knock him out. Sakura winced as she flew, focusing on the healing jutsu to repair the organ damage as she skidded across the dirt.
She pulled out several kunai and threw them in rapid succession at Neji, creating a barrage that she knew he couldn't dodge. He simply spun, creating a dome of chakra around him that seemed to deflect all of the incoming projectiles.
'Dammit!' Sakura cursed inwardly. 'He can't really hurt me with his Gentle Fist, but I can't put enough of a hurt on him to end the match. If only I'd had more time…'
Sakura body-flickered with a leg sweep, but Neji jumped out of the way as if he'd practiced avoiding leg sweeps thousands of times. Neji approached her again with simple Gentle Fist taijutsu. Sakura put more power behind her blows and focused on keeping her tenketsu open after each strike. She could barely keep up with his strikes, but she was starting to fatigue the so-called genius.
Neji tried to use the Sixty-four Palms again, but Sakura knew that opening a full set of closed tenketsu took more time than Neji would give her again. She quickly used a body-flicker to get as far away from Neji as the arena would allow. Knowing she had to come up with something or she wouldn't be able to last much longer, she tried to channel chakra back into her muscles and bones to give herself a strength boost. She dropped a quick test axe kick into the ground at her feet, leaving a very small, barely noticeable crater under her heal.
'I know that wasn't right, but it's the best I'm going to be able to do for the rest of this match. I hope it's enough or Neji is gonna win,' Sakura thought.
"You are in range of my divination," Neji started to intone.
"Shut up, Neji," Sakura exclaimed as she struck him with a medically enhanced fist across his chin, taking only the first two strikes before sending the boy flying. Neji did not expect the force of the blow and tried to roll with the punch, but it had much more power than any of the girl's previous strikes and he was caught off guard enough to fly to the ground. The proctor approached Neji, checked the boy for injuries, and announced,
"Winner: Sakura Haruno!"
The crowd cheered as Sakura waved on her way back to the staging area. She won, which meant that she'd have to fight again after everyone else finished. She didn't have any tricks for beating anyone else, but at least the first match was over. Hinata secretly smiled, knowing that Neji had finally gotten a taste of what it had been like for her for so long, but she found herself feeling sorry for him because being the best had long been the only thing he cared about since his father died.
Naruto and Sasuke waited for Sakura to reach the waiting area before congratulating her. "I knew you were strong, but you took out Neji! He dropped that other girl like it was part of his morning ritual! Way to go, Sakura!" Naruto shouted.
"It was pretty boring, but what matters is that you won, Sakura," Sasuke said. "How did you avoid getting your chakra network shut down by his attacks though?"
"I didn't avoid it. Kushina-sensei taught me how to open and close my tenketsu at will. I have no idea how I'm going to move past the next round though. We kind of specialized during my training," Sakura smiled nervously.
"Next up: Shino Aburame and Tamari of the Desert," an announcer boomed. Temari strolled out with her fan while Shino moved slowly into position.
"Fight!" the proctor shouted before jumping away.
"I wonder if you'll have as much luck against me as you did my teammate," Shino wondered aloud.
"That depends, bug-boy. Are you as weak as she is?" countered Temari.
"You'll find that weakness is relative, I think," Shino opined as his tunneling insects began crawling up Temari's legs.
Temari screamed and danced trying everything she could to scrape them off, even going so far as to glide on her enormous fan, but her panic allowed the chakra eating bugs to feed from her reserves. She barely noticed in time to create a wind jutsu that scattered the bugs.
'I have to buy more time, but I can't stand still with this guy or he'll get me with those damned bugs,' she thought, still gliding.
Shino didn't give her a chance to form a plan, however, throwing kunai at the easy target. Temari wasn't worried about the kunai and batted them out of the air easily with a gust of wind before noticing the swarm of bugs behind her. She spent a long few minutes swatting bugs away and moving around until she was simply too exhausted to continue and Shino knocked her unconscious.
"Winner: Shino Aburame!" the proctor announced.
Shino returned to the staging area where everyone congratulated him on a job well done. Kankuro was in the area with Gaara and the two stayed silent while Temari was taken to the medical tent by the Leaf medical-nin.
The same booming voice came over the loud speakers announcing the match between the Cloud-nin and the Rock-nin. Naruto was surprised to see the strange woman from Mist waiting for him as he searched for a bathroom.
"Hello there, Little Flash," she smiled, her arms across her chest.
'Oh, fuck. Does she know? Is she here to kill me? Play it cool, Naruto. She isn't exhausted anymore,' Naruto thought. "Hi there," he smiled.
"I came here special, just to watch you fight. Naruto, was it?" He nodded. "Don't disappoint me, Naruto. I don't want to think that I owe a debt to someone weak," she smiled eerily.
Naruto returned after his little detour to find that the Rock-nin had defeated the Cloud-nin. And that the Mist genin was already waiting in the arena.
"Naruto Uzumaki, please report to the arena. Your match is about to begin," the loudspeaker boomed.
Naruto rushed out onto the field, zipping his zipper. "Sorry. Sorry, everyone. I had to take a leak. I'm ready now," he flustered.
"Are you sure, Uzumaki?" the proctor asked. "If you have to take a bathroom break, we can move on to the next match."
"I'm good. I just had to piss. Let's do this already," Naruto exclaimed, getting into a basic taijutsu stance.
"Okay. Fight!" the proctor said, jumping away. The Mist-nin quickly summoned a mist as Naruto just stood there. The mist cleared as the befuddled Mist-nin stood next to where Naruto should have stood, his sword already embedded in the ground after what must have been a horrifyingly powerful swing. The Mist-nin looked around, but missed the flash as Naruto crossed the entire arena from the outer wall.
'Earth and lightning without hand signs. And the speed is impressive. The blonde, spikey hair and the speed are only confirming my suspicions that he's related to the Yellow Flash. He was supposed to be a bachelor, but that wouldn't be a hard thing to conceal from enemies during war,' the auburn-haired jonin thought as she watched the fight.
Naruto used an improvised earth technique to tunnel directly beneath his starting spot, replacing himself with a shadow-clone. From his position outside the mist, he used lightning chakra to enhance his speed across the arena and then put wind chakra into his fingertips as he struck the Mist-nin's sword, cutting it where he struck. The Mist-nin leapt back, leaving his broken sword as he wove more hand signs.
Naruto converted his chakra into water chakra and released it in a massive wave, cancelling out the mist field. The Mist-nin's eyes went wide as bad water chakra simply overwhelmed his technique.
'How could he have that much chakra? It's not even pure water chakra!' the Mist-nin thought.
Naruto stood looking at the Mist-nin. "Did you want to try anything else or can I try something?" Naruto asked with a smirk. The Mist-nin pulled out a kunai and charged Naruto in a rage. "That'll work," Naruto chuckled, creating a gale-force wind at shoulder-level into the charging Mist-nin. He then put his hands on the ground, creating a chasm beneath the Mist-nin. The Mist-nin fell back into a pit instead of the ground he'd expected.
Naruto used a neutral body-flicker to close into the pit next to the Mist-nin. The Mist-nin threw a shuriken barrage at Naruto, which Naruto dodged by burrowing into the earth. Shadow-clones reached up from beneath the Mist-nin, holding the Mist-nin down where most observers couldn't see or hear them.
"You put on a good show, but the match is mine. You can walk off or be carried off," Naruto said quickly. "I'm giving you the option."
"Carried off," the Mist-nin said seriously. "I can see that you're ninjutsu and taijutsu outclass mine, but if I walk off, it will show weakness."
Naruto was stunned. He hadn't expected that. "Well? Do it already," the Mist-nin hissed. Another arm shot up, wrapping around the Mist-nin's neck, quickly choking him unconscious.
"Winner: Naruto Uzumaki!" the proctor shouted. Naruto strutted off the field, still a little disturbed by the Mist-nin's attitude. The Leaf genin in the staging area congratulated him on a decisive match.
"Gaara of the Desert and Sasuke Uchiha please come to the arena," boomed the loudspeaker. Sasuke hopped down to the arena, waiting for Gaara. Gaara was not far behind.
"Which one of us exists?" Gaara's voice dripped death.
"We both do, psycho," Sasuke activated his sharingan eyes.
"Fight!" yelled the proctor. Sand swirled around Gaara, hypnotic whirls spinning everywhere. Sasuke could see the chakra laced in every grain, but he knew there wasn't much he could do about the sand. A tendril of sand lashed toward Sasuke, but Sasuke dodged it easily. Sasuke tried to run past the sand, but even body-flickers weren't fast enough to bypass it.
'Naruto's speed might be fast enough, but I'm not sure. I can't duplicate it right now anyway though, so I'll have to think of something else,' Sasuke thought as he blew a fireball at the motionless redhead protected by sand.
The sand was fast attacking as well, but Sasuke was faster at dodging. He threw kunai that cloned to create a massive barrage, but the sand was always there. Claws of sand erupted, trying to grab him, but he always predicted the sand and dodged easily. Sasuke tried genjutsu but the illusions didn't phase Gaara's bloodlust. Gaara broke the illusions the same way Naruto did: brute force. Sasuke planted explosive tags around the arena as he went back and forth with Gaara, waiting to position the Sand-nin just right for the trap he was setting.
Finally, Gaara stepped into position and Sasuke sent chakra to detonate the tags. Gaara was blasted off his feet, repeatedly, until all of the tags Sasuke had planted were exhausted. Gaara stood, his skin peeling off like sand, his rage evident. A sphere of sand surrounded Gaara as he stood, revealing an eye of sand above and seemingly out of range.
Sasuke knew that the only way to attack Gaara would be to strike through the sand. He momentarily thought how nice it might be to have a byakugan to see through the sand instead of guessing at the inside, but quickly pushed that thought aside. He charged his hand with lightning, the chirping sounds bursting from the jutsu. He started running toward Gaara's sand shell, but the earth rumbled and an explosion sounded from the walls of the village, knocking Sasuke to the ground before he could complete his attack. Sasuke picked himself up and turned to try to see what was happening.
'What the hell is going on? Why is there a genjutsu over the entire stadium? Or is it the entire village? What was that "boom" just now?' Sasuke thought as he watched the visiting Kazekage leap from the Kage's box seat a split second before a strange, purple a barrier rose up around it.
Naruto had practiced enough with genjutsu to recognize one and practiced disrupting his chakra as a matter of course throughout any day, but the sleeping jutsu that covered the stadium caught him off guard. By the time he noticed what was happening, the Kazekage was standing next to Sasuke and Gaara was starting to lose his mind in the middle of the arena. Most of the jonin seemed to be pulling themselves out of the genjutsu, but the sounds of battles raging outside the stadium were easily heard.
"Orochimaru!" Jiraiya screamed from the stands as he jumped down to intercept the Kazekage. "We should have killed you years ago!" Jiraiya summoned two toads that Naruto didn't recognize on his shoulders. Naruto watched in horror as Orochimaru extended his head to bite Sasuke, leaving a strange mark on his friend, before facing Jiraiya.
"Kukukuku. Don't you have a village to save, Jiraiya-chan? The Sand is invading and this very arena is going to have the Shukaku on a rampage any minute now," the false-kage pointed at Gaara's sand-covered form. Naruto charged in with a lightning body-flicker to attack the false-kage, but Orochimaru's body impossibly bent to avoid the blonde's strike. "You might be nearly as fast as that annoying Fourth Hokage, boy. But you can't beat me yet," he mocked as he kicked Naruto across the arena.
Jiraiya charged Orochimaru, but the snake-sannin picked up Sasuke's unconscious form and ran. Naruto stood, watching Jiraiya leap after Orochimaru and Sasuke. Most of the jonin and ANBU present had already begun reinforcing the besieged village walls, so few had noticed Gaara growing into a monster the size of a building.
Naruto ran through the summoning signs to bring Gamabunta into the stadium and found himself atop the massive toad. "We have to keep that sand monster from hurting anyone in the stands. We don't have much room, so we'll have to pin it here as quickly as possible, Boss-Toad," Naruto quickly explained.
"That's a great plan, Naruto-boy, but that's a bijuu and I don't have nearly the strength to pin even the one-tail in these tight quarters," Gamabunta rumbled.
"If we don't hurry, that thing is going to start rampaging and a lot of people are going to die!" Naruto exclaimed. "We need to do something quick!"
"Can you do a transformation jutsu?" Gamabunta asked. "I could pin him, if I could take the shape of something with hands or claws."
The sand monster began to roar, waking a few of the genin who had been left behind by the older ninja. "I can think of something. Hang on!" Naruto unleashed a wave of chakra to transform the massive toad into the only thing he could imagine that was that big. For a brief instant, he found himself inside the landscape of the underground plumbing, where he looked into the sealed cage. 'I'm borrowing your form, whatever-your-name-is. I just wanted to let you know, since I think I've just figured out that you're one of the bijuu.'
"BORROWING MY FORM? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" the angry prisoner boiled from behind its cage.

halloween party , william nylander
note, this fic is part of my 5 days of halloween. check out this masterlist if you're interested. none of the fics in that series are connected. they are all standalone. pair, william nylander x reader summary, y/n, a teacher, get's will to help her set up her classroom for her students. warnings, none word count, 682 words
Tumblr media
(gif not mine)
Both Will and Y/N lugged two bags into your classroom, and set them down on an empty table, "You didn't have to come. I can do this all on my own." You told him.
"It's fine, really." He insisted, smiling at you, "I have a day off, and I've been waiting to see how things work." He looked around your classroom, "Plus, these costumes are pretty awesome." He smiled, picking up your hat and spinning it around to look at it.
"Well, sorry to tell you this, but it's not that interesting. All we're gonna be doing today is watching movies and coloring." You told him.
"That sounds easy enough." He nodded.
You chuckled, "You say that now." You pulled out the piece of paper you had drawn your map on and explained your game plan, "We have an hour to get all this done."
After an hour, the classroom was decorated, and both you and Will were sitting behind your desk, eating candy. The bell rang, signaling that the students would be coming into the classroom, so you stood up and placed yourself in the doorway, greeting them.
"Good morning." You smiled, bending down to their level.
"Good morning, Mrs. Nylander." One of the little girls, Bailey, greeted. She smiled up at you, flashing you her toothless smile, and held up a little pumpkin.
"Is this for me?" You asked. She nodded, "Thank you, Miss Bailey. Do you want to go find a place on my desk for this?" She nodded her head and skipped off to your desk.
"Hi, Mr. Will." Bailey smiled at Will.
"Hi." Will waved, completely confused as to who she was and how she knew him.
"Mrs. Nylander said you were coming in and told us to call you Mr. Will." She explained.
"Did she?"
"Huh-uh." Bailey nodded, placing her pumpkin on your desk, then making her way over to her own desk.
Once everyone had come in, you closed the door, and stood in front of the classroom, "Good morning, everyone." You smiled.
They all responded in the same cheerful voice you had used, "Happy Halloween. I love all your costumes, you all look great, and like I said, we will have a costume contest, but we'll do that later." You told them.
"Who are you supposed to be, Mrs. Nylander?" One of your students asked.
"Well, have you all seen or heard of Harry Potter?" You asked.
"My brother dressed up as Harry Potter for Halloween one year."
"Well, in one of the books they have a tournament, and there are two other schools who participate in the tournament, other than Harry's school, so I'm dressed up as a student from one of those schools, and Mr. Will is dressed up as someone from the other school." You explained.
"Well, I think you look really pretty, Mrs. Nylander."
"Thank you." You smiled, "Now, as we talked about yesterday, we have a special guest in the class today. Mr. Will." Will stood up and waved to the class.
"Hey, guys."
"Can you all say "hi" back?" You asked.
"Hi, Mr. Will." They all said at the same time.
"So, today I have some fun things planned. I thought, since it's Halloween, we could have a Halloween party." You couldn't even get the next sentence out before they were screaming in excitement.
You laughed, "Okay, okay, let's settle down." You brought their attention back to you, "I have some snacks and some activities you can do, but I also have some movies we can watch, but we're gonna take a vote to see which movies to watch."
You turned the movie on, and sat down back at your desk next to Will, "You're pretty freakin' amazing, you know that?"
You smiled, turning your head to look at him, "You think?"
"I know." He corrected, "You're amazing. You're a great teacher, and these kids clearly love you." He went on.
"That's really sweet." You leaned your head on his shoulder, "I'm really glad you came in today."
"I'm glad, too." He pressed a kiss to your head.

enhypen members on a café date ☕️♡ requested by anon
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
– heeseung
what kind of café he takes you to: his local favorite, it's on the cozier or quieter size, which gives him the privacy to spend quality time with you~
the menu: now serving your favorite coffees, teas, and sandwiches! from iced americanos to milk teas (bubbles/boba if you want) to paninis, this café has got all the regulars. what would you like to order? ♥
activities you do: while the two of you should probably go to a gaming café for this, you and heeseung always sit in a more private booth/area side-by-side and play multiplayer games on his switch. if you're not gaming, the two of you casually talk about your days while sipping your drinks, resting your head on his shoulder or working on your respective things, schoolwork maybe for you or producing for heeseung.
short blurb: "heeseung, you let me win." "no, you're just really good at this game, love." (˶◡‿◡) you just laugh and roll your eyes, pinching his cheeks before resting your head on his shoulder in the middle of your favorite booth, in your favorite café that was filled with precious memories.
rest of the members under the cut! <3
what kind of café he takes you to: either the most expensive café ever or the most aesthetic (which tends to be pretty expensive anyway), you already saw this coming because we all on that rich boy!jay agenda.
what kind of café he takes you to: either the most expensive café ever or the most aesthetic (which tends to be pretty expensive anyway), you already saw this coming because we all on that rich boy!jay agenda.
what kind of café he takes you to: either the most expensive café ever or the most aesthetic (which tends to be pretty expensive anyway), you already saw this coming because we all on that rich boy!jay agenda.
the menu: how do you even pronounce most of these drinks? ಠωಥ is that a caviar-flavored drink LOL say sike 🅱ls ‼ ahem, so order something familiar to you or let jay pick something for you (it might be expensive, but that's okay let him spoil you 🥺 you deserve it, king/queen/royalty)
activities you do: jay loves listening to your day, and you love listening to his. he often likes to tell you about new things he's learned, and you watch as his eyes brighten over these, loving every sparkle. with jay, i don't see him going to the same cafés all the time: he likes to explore, so the only thing that's consistent is the amount of quality time you two spend together.
short blurb: "jay..!" "hm? what's up? is something wrong with your drink?" "no, it's just...?" you take a second to think about your phrasing before you answer. "is there supposed to be gold foiling on this?" "oh yeah, it's on trend now, babe. i heard it tastes as expensive as it looks." "and as it costs?" 🤨 "don't worry about it, y/n. this is my treat for you since you've been working harder than usual these days." (۶ •̀ᴗ•́)۶
– jake
what kind of café he takes you to: a dog café, let's be honest he really wants to pet dogs and he would get along so well with them. it's the golden retriever energy 🤩
the menu: aside from dog treats to feed the puppers (not jake), re-energize with refreshing drinks from lemonade to peach tea! the dessert menu also looks enticing, honey brick toast and pancake art shaped like the many dogs that prance around the vicinity.
activities you do: pet and feed the dogs, of course, duh you're at a dog café 🐕 for some reason, they take after jake very well, so well that one is practically attached to the hip with him as he pets it, an australian shepherd. he asks you nicely to take pictures of him with it and you tell on him to layla.
short blurb: "y/n, y/n, look! this one loves me!" "i can see that, jake." "y/n, it's an austalian shepherd, do you think he knows i'm aussie too?" "maybe he does." "take my picture with it?" "oh, so proof for layla that you're cheating on her?" "NOOO LAYLA ㅠㅠ"
– sunghoon
what kind of café he takes you to: a modern chic café. it's got the industrial feel to it and perfectly matches his sophisticated vibes.
the menu: only coffees and plain teas! specializes more in hand brewing coffee and the like. also has some sandwiches or pastries for you to taste.
activities you do: with sunghoon, it's mostly talking. the way you two can talk about anything and everything really makes your relationship so comfortable. you two also watch videos and make side comments here and there together. don't forget to take each other's pictures and selfies together, there is no visual hole here and the setting is perfect, what are you waiting for? 📸
short blurb: "are you getting my good side?" "huh, but every side is your good side." "oh yea, you're right." you shake your head at his way of getting a backhanded compliment and simply snap the picture of him and his coffee. looking at it makes you smile, but he quickly pulls you into his side and holds up his phone. "now time to show off my beautiful s/o."
– sunoo
what kind of café he takes you to: a character café! whether it's kakao or line friends, you two are both there to enjoy the too-cute-to-eat types of food, taking many pictures before savoring it.
the menu: character-themed food and drinks! they're carefully planned out from the ingredients to the witty names, all to match the theme of the café. you order a full course meal with sunoo, sharing your entrees with each other and drinks, so you both have the chance to taste what you can!
activities you do: did you hear me? a full course meal 🗣‼️ you two are eating your weight's worth of food because (1) it's cute and (2) it's expensive! sunoo is a chatterbox, and i just know he scored you two a picture with either one of your favorite characters at a lower price. both of you also take part in any chants cheerfully~
short blurb: "you're as cute as all the characters here, y/nie!" "yah, we're both cuter than all of them, don't lie." "yes, you're right, we would be doing them a favor by taking a picture with one of them." "cheers to us then?" you ask holding your glass already. "cheers~" he replies and clinks yours with his. all of a sudden, your favorite character comes by with your plates of food. enamored, you ask if you and sunoo can take a picture with them, to which the servers agree happily as long as you pay accordingly. the two of you pose to your hearts' content with the cute character. after which, you think sunoo unintentionally charmed the servers to give him a lower price for the photo by signing it and letting them post it somewhere, which you can't help but think is so befitting of him.
– jungwon
what kind of café he takes you to: a cottage-style café or specifically, the sheep café in korea. the latter is actually located in hongdae and literally 2 sheep roam around! (search up thanks nature café) he would just want to touch their fluffy fur 🐑
the menu: very green, as in matcha and mint and pandan and the like. also has some cute garden-themed pastries/drinks like the good ol' throwback, dirt in a cup, (basically some crushed oreos with gummy worms), which jungwon is all over.
activities you do: when one goes to animal cafés, you pet the animals! so pet the sheep you two do, but very cautiously, of course. jungwon tries to ba with them, maybe even asks if they make clothing out of their wool.
short blurb: "do you make anything with their wool?" jungwon suddenly asks the worker nearby. "huh? oh yes, we actually do have some sweaters in store if you would like to see them." "yes please." "alright, one moment please." "wonie, will you actually buy one?" "i mean, yea, who else is able to say that they met the sheep their clothing came from?" it's overly priced, but he buys a scarf anyway and wraps it around the two of you despite it being summertime. "jungwon, it's hot in this!" (/Д`)
– niki
what kind of café he takes you to: manga café or a café with really cool latte art. riki would have fun either way, reading manga together or trying out latte art himself!
the menu: the manga café has all your regulars and even offer comfy snack foods like bungeoppang and ddeokboki! on the other hand, the latte art café really focuses on their art, thanks to the machine that prints out any design you want on top of it (which riki is amazed by).
activities you do: in a manga café, you would have a private room together and just chill and roll around in it. at the latte art café, he's having so much fun seeing all the characters and drawings are put on top, even when they're not his (he orders shin-chan or doraemon). they offer 3d latte art classes and the two of you take one!
short blurb: "y/n, your cat looks funny." "riki, it's deflating :(" "draw the face anyway." "how come yours is so nice?" "oh, i just frothed the milk myself." "what? riki, you are so cool~" he becomes bashful and makes use of his classes by buying the necessary materials to make you different 3d latte arts every day.
a/n: YAYY this was so cute thank you for your request again, anon! <3 i hope you liked it, especially the format hehe

Author's Note: Hi that isn't my GIF. But this is my fic and I would really appreciate it if you told me how you thought it was, and if you especially like it, my requests are open friends. :3 I have the spicy sad right now, and needed a little angst with a happy ending. Ok, be fed I guess.
This has 3,000+ words, are you proud of me or what!?
From the prompt: As teenagers, a boy and a girl agree to marry if neither have by their 35th birthday. Follow the boy as he attempts to sabotage every relationship the girl has until then.
"Hey Tommy? I was thinking."
"That's a shit idea, you should stop doing that"
You swiped at the back of his head.
"Shut up you ass, I'm serious."
"Hi serious I'm- OW fucking hurt is what I am it's a joke, learn to take a-AH." You hurdled a handful of playground pebbles at the 17 year old.
"Alright, alright gorgeous, hit me- No! I meant hit me with the question you little shit." It was getting hard to breathe when he got you to giggle so hard.
You're laughter died down. You looked down, unsure if you could look at his face when you said this.
"I don't have a boyfriend." He abruptly stopped laughing, hiding the obvious fact that he almost choked on his own spit. You breathed a laugh again.
"I don't have a boyfriend. And you don't have a girlfriend." Your smile slipped off.
Tell him. Tell him, you're almost there. I don't have anyone, and you don't either except we do we have each we have each other we have-
You looked to Tommy, his boyish presence fitting on the swing set made for much younger kids. You were much younger kids when you met for the first time, on this very swing set. You think about telling him you fell in love with him when he pushed Jackson Paloski down on the asphalt because Jackson said trailer-trash can't play on the nice swing set. You didn't know it was love though, you were in the fourth grade but your heart still beat a little faster and when you asked him if you could sit beside him during lunch he huffed and complained, showing off he was moody and tough and haughty, but he very obviously made Michael Welsh move from his spot beside Tommy so that the pretty new girl could take her place beside him. And you stayed there. For years. Right beside him.
You felt the breath leave your lungs as you thought about telling him you can't stop thinking about him lately.
Can't stop hoping your skin will touch when he asks you to pass him something.
Can't help feeling like punching every girl that makes a scene trying to gain his attention. You're usually so focused on glaring at the girl that you miss the way he shrinks in on himself, the way he actively turns his body to you.
You think about telling him. And how telling him could mean you could do more, be more.
You think about telling him. And you think about him pulling away from you, gently gathering his things as he stumbles over how to let you down easily, unaware that that's not an option any more. Tommy letting you down would mean shattering.
You clench your jaw. His eyes try to tell you something.
"So. So since. We don't have someone." You look toward the Shell gas station across the street. Tommy wets his lips with a quick swipe of his tongue.
Your throat twinges, the twinge you get when you're trying to hold back tears. You shrug to yourself and let out a breathy laugh.
Coward.
"So since we don't have hot dates, we should make a deal." You make your voice upbeat. You know Tommy can call your bullshit but he doesn't, sit's quietly.
"If by the time we're 35, and we don't have a, someone, to, ya' know. We should get married." Your heart clenches. "If we don't have. Like if I don't have a husband, and you don't. Have a girl, or-" Tommy is quiet. White hot panic races up your spine. You look over at him.
Tommy looks-
He looks like he's frozen, like he's still a few sentences behind, and you're about to throw in the towel and swallow a few of these pebbles so you'll choke and die and won't have to hear his laughter tear apart your heart.
Then Tommy blinks and kind of hunkers in on himself, looks anywhere but you, eyes shifting and darting. His smile isn't his when he manages it.
"Oh, you're so on, sweetheart."
It's not quite right. The atmosphere is still tense and you feel like there's a conversation you're meant to be having, like there were supposed to be different words spoken and heard during that time.
But having Tommy, even if it's like this, even if he doesn't want you like you ache for him, is better than not having him at all.
Beside you, while you hurt quietly beside him, watching the sun set, rocking back and forth on the too low swing, Tommy swallows down self-hatred and overwhelming feelings. Instead, he schemes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been five years since you've made your little deal with Tommy. Five years, and every single time you've tried to move on from the man, it's ended in catastrophe.
The time you two had just graduated high school and drove to Tommy's house so his older brother could congratulate you two. Brendan had had a buddy over that night, not much older than you, and you would be lying if you said you didn't flush appreciatingly at his sly smile toward you and the way he actively tried to add you in on the conversation.
The night ended rather abruptly when Tommy had spilled hot tea all over the guys front. Tommy was always collected, and it was rare moment when he was clumsy. Never mind the fact that Tommy never drank tea, and actively made fun of you drinking the stuff.
Or the time you two reluctantly went to Brendan's wedding. You loved Tess, and thought they were a great couple, but stomaching an entire ceremony of the two being gross and affectionate, all while you and Tommy couldn't boo and throw miscellaneous items at them? The entire evening was spent with Tommy snuggly against your side snarking quietly in your ear, so close you could feel his warm breath on the entire side of your face.
Yes, your plan of moving on was going swimmingly.
Then Tommy went to the bathroom, and a handsome man smiled at you across the room. You tentatively smiled back, and he moved as if to cross the distance. Then immediately stopped, his face dropping and his eyes widening slightly as he spotted something a little over your shoulder. You saw him clear his throat and veer toward a large group laughing.
Your felt your face slightly warm and your heart drop a little, self consciously looking over your shoulder.
And let out a noise of surprise.
Tommy stood behind you, so close for a second you thought a very well dressed wall had somehow appeared while you weren't looking. You had just enough time to see 'The Expression'.
Tommy was an amazing fighter. And all throughout high school, he made sure while he minded his own, he could also hold his own, and everyone knew it. He had developed an expression, one that scared every single boy in this town shitless. It was a mix between unbridled rage and open invitation. The message was pretty clear and universal.
Come get some.
You usually laughed and teased him about it, because to you it just looked like he stubbed his toe and he was trying not to yell.
You weren't expecting to see it at his brother's wedding, and you certainly weren't laughing now.
In a blink it was gone from his face, and he turned to you with his beautiful sweet smile, the smile that showed just a little peak of his slightly messed up front teeth. He usually reserved that smile for you. You had never seen anyone else on the receiving end.
"Tommy, why were you just-"
"This blows, I just passed Tess and Brendan flirting. They're already married, why would they keep doing that." He rolled his eyes, moving to your side as his hand disappeared behind your back.
"Tommy did you just square up to the guy checking me ou-"
"Brendan's friend is here, the one who can can do a Kick Up."
You stared at each other for a long moment. You felt his hand barely ghosting over the small of your back. His eyes where sharp, a little desperate.
"Tommy."
"There's also a rumor he killed a guy with just a playing card."
You licked your lips. He raised his eyebrows, his lips getting distracting.
"Shit Conlon, why didn't you start with that, take me to him."
Or the time, more recently, when you went to a match to watch Tommy completely destroy his opponent. You loved going out to see him fight. Loved the adrenaline and the satisfaction when Tommy won, making him less timid, a little more rowdy and confident, a little more touchy and feely.
You've kind of given up on the whole moving on thing, even if it was driving you up a wall.
Tommy had just won, and you were eagerly waiting to congratulate him, excited to hug him freely, without him wondering why you were hugging him to begin with. And maybe to hold on a little tighter. Maybe to allow your hands to rove a little more freely.
Hey, was it not a night for celebration?
A man started to chat you up. You smiled patiently and gave some noncommittal grunts and affirmations as you continued to scan the crowd, looking for the familiar mass of Tommy, all hard edges and bulk. You were bouncing on the balls of your feet.
The guy moved closer, making a joke you didn't really hear. You laughed, your eyes darting and searching.
"You look beautiful by the way. I saw you watching the fight, crazy that you're into this stuff. Not a lot of women I know cheer like that."
You finally glance over to the man, but quickly get back to standing on your tip toes, looking above heads.
He doesn't even look that bad, and it's obvious he wants to get your number. He's just not the man you want chat with, and definitely not tonight. Not on a night that Tommy just won, and a night he'll want to come over to yours, joking and teasing, touching you much more confidently than he normally would. Falling asleep much more easier with his head on your lap.
You tamp down a smile. You wouldn't want this guy to get the wrong idea.
"You know, there's a really good Thai place down the road- Ah, fuck, watch it buddy. Can you not look where you're go-" You hear the man choke off the sentence, trying not to smile as you imagine the other guy. probably a lot bigger than he is. Wouldn't want to completely ruin his night by laughing at the guy.
"Fuuck me, buddy, sorry. I did not know who I was talking to." You could hear the man swallow. "Hey, I think you did great in the ring tonight, real good job of... Knocking that guy out. With one punch."
You whirled around, smiling so wide you felt the strain on your cheeks. There was only one guy who did that tonight.
Sure enough, Tommy was standing there. He had put on a shirt and took his gloves off, but he was still sweaty and breathing hard. He completely stanced up, like he is in the ring, and his expression was-
Well, you chalked it up to the testosterone flowing freely through the place. Probably just mad that he ran into another dude.
It still didn't stop you from running and jumping directly on him, arms coming up to wrap around his neck, legs completely circling his torso. You giggled into his neck, exclaiming how proud you were of him, how good he looked out there, completely stroking his ego, but not caring at the moment.
You felt his arms immediately span your back, feeling like his hands where trying to be everywhere at once. That was new. That was new and you couldn't say you hated it.
What you didn't see was the look on Tommy's face. The cold calm of someone who just threw a punch so hard at a man who was bigger and faster than him and shut his shit down. Directed at another man, much slower and smaller in comparison.
You didn't see the stranger's face pale, but you distantly heard the sound of chairs clatter to the ground as he turned tail.
Five years of pining (not so) quietly for Tommy, the man you had fallen in love with, but without a doubt did not love you back.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tommy knew without a doubt that he loved you.
All those years back in fourth grade, when he let it slip that his favorite snack was those crackers with the cheese filling, and you showed up with a whole pack of them to share, smiling this big goofy grin with your beautiful eyes and warm presence.
God how could he not.
The problem was how he was supposed to convince you to like him back. Him, Tommy, who fought most of his way through high school, who didn't like to get too close to people, who didn't like eye contact or conversation that ran too long or too forced. Who loved you though.
And who was very annoyed at the boy flirting with his girl.
It never failed to make Tommy's blood boil. He knew he had no right, because for one, he spent five years doing his damned best to break up every chance at you leaving him.
Just until you guys turn 35, right Tommy boy? You can probably keep that up.
Tommy breathed in a shuttering breath.
He just wanted to buy you your favorite drink at your favorite café. That's all he wanted to do. And maybe find and excuse to hold your hand without burning up from the embarrassment of actually having feelings (can you imagine?).
But of course, some dick-head always noticed how beautiful or kind or warm you were, and had to take their shot.
Well, Tommy was fucking sick of it.
Tommy thought of all the times, and there were a lot of times, when he had to step in and derail the situation. He knew this would be the last time. He had to do this, get rid of the unrelenting ache he felt while going to sleep, looking at you, thinking about you.
Tommy moved toward the you and the man you were talking to like he was entering the ring. With the mindset that he could get totally and irreversibly hurt, but he was gonna fight to the bloody end beforehand.
"Do you need directions?" Tommy asked as he slid up behind you, closer than he would have ever before. He felt your confusion even if he couldn't see your face.
"What?" The man was just as quizzical.
"Oh, I was just asking if you needed directions or if you could get lost on your own." Tommy raised his eyebrows, setting his hand on your hip, trying not to think about the many, many questions you'd have about that.
The man thought about arguing, but then he really looked at Tommy. Looked at you, then back to Tommy. Decided he didn't want to bleed tonight, and huffed out an angry sound.
You at least waited until he was out of ear shot before whirling on him.
"What. What was that?"
"Ok, I know what your probably thinking-"
"That you're out of your mind Tommy?! Are you kidding me right now? 'Get lost?' Get outta here with that shit, what was that?"
The two of you were pretty far back in the shop, but he still lowered his voice to make sure no one was bothered.
"Ok, yes, you're mad, I can see that-"
"Oooooh well I'm glad you can see that Tommy." You felt your face start to turn red, feeling exhausted and confused. "Explain. Explain to me Tommy, that every time a guy wants to have a nice, civil, God forbid, flirtatious conversation with me, he high tails it out of there just as fast, Tommy, explain."
Tommy felt an expanding ache somewhere behind his left eye.
"Ok. Ok I'm gonna say something stupid-"
"You always say something stupid, stupid-"
"Can you just. Can you let me finish." Tommy felt exasperated and a little insane. He was about to confess in a coffee shop to the girl he loved and things would never be the same again because she was about to leave, but fuck it if he wasn't at a boiling point.
"Ok. You know how we made a deal?" You looked at him, raising your eyebrows.
"About who could spray the most whipped cream in their mouth? Yeah it's me, it'll always be me. So you got so mad you're trying to, what, make sure I die alone, I don't..."
"What? No can you not, can you focus right now?" Tommy's palms were starting to sweat and he clenched his eyes shut tight. He breathed in and let it back out in one harsh huff. "When we were seventeen-"
"Seventeen?"
"When we were seventeen you said that if we weren't married by the time we were 35, that we should marry each other." He watched as your eyes widened and your face warmed a little. "Well, the deals off. I'm not doing it any more."
Tommy wasn't sure what to expect, but the flash of utter pain that tore across your face was not it. You stepped back, looked like you were about to bolt, your eyes wild. You tried to pull yourself together but it was really hard to breathe. No matter how many times you tried to prepare yourself for this day, you could have never imagined how it actually almost brought you know to your knees.
"So. Here's the new deal. If in like, five minutes, you're still single, and I'm still single..." Tommy swallowed hard, licking his lips. "We should just." His eyes darted to your lips.
You froze. Tommy caught his lush lower lip in between his teeth. He'd never been more nervous his entire life. So nervous for the inevitable laugh, the pity laced rejection, because really, it was one thing to be friends with a shy awkward boxer, but another to look at him and think, 'yeah, that'll do.'
Tommy had approximately five seconds to wallow in self deprecation and pure terror before he had a handful of you, and something that suspiciously felt like lips on his lips. But that's funny, because he's almost positive that that's not the case.
Then he felt your tongue swipe his lip and decided he cared fuck all and proceeded to get lost in you, your breaths, God he could feel, taste, your breath as you both got consumed by each other.
Someone coughed disapprovingly your way. The two of you broke apart, panting slightly.
"Ok, ok please don't. I really don't want you to hit me but I'm really fucking dense, right, and I just have to ask, you did that because you. You like like me- OW I said I didn't want you to hit me!"
You felt yourself laughing, felt your never ending ache subside and your love sky rocket.
"Oh, you're an idiot," You pecked his lips, he tried to catch your mouth fully but failed. "You are such and idiot- Oh my God we're both idiots holy- Hey. Hey, you, you've been. Have you been sabotaging-"
"Did you hear that?" Tommy tilted his head and looked toward the ceiling. "Ope- oh yeah. No. yeah, that's for sure the sound of-" He cut off, dropping his serious expression, grinning as he leaned down and kissed your mouth again, this time taking your words and any objections, affectively cutting off any questions that would leave him looking stupid.
You two would need to sit down, to talk about how you've felt all these years, how you were both so stupid that you both refused to confess to each other.
But for now, you lost yourself in the taste of Tommy, and the heady feeling of someone you've loved for seemingly forever, loving you back.
Real Quick: Would you be mad if in the next fics I write I called this man Tomithy? Asking for a friend.

➤ Deaging fic because the fan art with baby Rex is adorable. Bonus points if Ahsoka and Anakin are deaged as well. I sort of figure it could because of some weird Force magic but whatever works for you.
➤ genre: just fluff cuz tiny babies :)
➤ 🌑Requested: @carlycrays ❤ DISCLAIMER: idk how kids work🙃 and was too lazy to look it up so yeah, enjoy this mess. Also so sorry it took this long but i was really struggling, maybe I'll use the other ideas at some point ;)

"By the Maker..." You sigh in frustration as Sivix continues to pace nervously. "How are we going to fix this, if even the Council doesn't know how?"
"Calm down. It could be worse, at least it's not a hostile planet." Sivix reasons, stopping before you.
"Yeah, but it's still out of the Republic's reach. We're alone out here and this situation is not helpful, in any way." You grumble, crossing your arms.
Captain Sivix sighs, "With all due respect, sir. I understand your concern, but obsessing over something we can't fix is not going to solve anything." he speaks resolutely, arms behind his back and spine straight as a ruler.
"You're right, you're right." You sigh, dragging a hand down your face in frustration as the captain's words settle in your mind. There's nothing you can do, at least for now.
"Why don't you go check on them?" He offers you gently and you're up on your feet before you can stop yourself by thinking too hard about the situation.
You salute the trooper guarding the barrack you step into. Once inside, all you hear are cries and coos. It would've been surprising, if it wasn't exactly what you were expecting to find.
"Well, who do we have here?" You ask playfully, with a softness not many are privy to. But how can you help it, with whom you're looking at?
High-pitched coos come to you as a response as you walk towards the sounds. "Hello there!"
Tiny hands reach out to you as you approach. You pick up baby Anakin, placing him at your hip as he giggles in delight while you bounce him slightly.
Perhaps a situation so strange would've called for a more panicked reaction, but that stage's already passed. Plus, they're all just so cute.
"Anything to report?" You ask Fives, who looks away from his now tiny Captain, knocking him over with a slight push while locking eyes with you.
"Report? General..." He trails off amusedly, holding a hand against Rex's forehead as be attempts to get to him, unsuccessfully.
You have to admit, it is certainly amusing.
You shake your head with a sigh, looking down at the child at your hip as he makes a quizzical noise. You place a soft kiss on his blond head, to which he giggles.
You put Anakin down before sitting close to Fives and Echo, who's mostly just eyeing the small Ahsoka curiously.
"Any news from General Kenobi?" Echo asks, startled as the young Togruta suddenly stumbles onto his lap. "Nope. Nothing at all. We're alone out here."
Noticing your crestfallen expression and heavy sigh, Anakin wiggles around until he can lay his head on your shoulder and wrap his tiny arms around your neck. "Aw, buddy, it's ok. We'll figure something out."
"How long do you think it'll take for him to get to us?"
"I'd say more than a few hours, but I can't be sure. Given that we're supposed to be on a mission. Our only saving grace is that we're supposed to meet with him on Kenrall, hopefully when he gets there and realizes we're not coming, he'll send someone out way." You can't help your negativity.
A crash is heard from somewhere in the corner, making you all look towards it. To find Ahsoka, who'd somehow gotten away from Echo without him noticing, holding a lightsaber oh no.
"No no no, put that down." Fives tells her sternly, finally letting go of his tiny captain, who falls on his face upon the lack of pressure.
The child immediately starts crying as Ahsoka continues to wave the activated lightsaber around while Echo attempts to get a hold of it.
Anakin reaches out with grabby hands, wanting to join in on what seems to look like fun, but you hold him steady, smiling when he looks up at you in confusion. “You don’t wanna get involved, believe me.” He pouts in response, attempting to escape your hold, to no avail.
You finally sigh at the troopers’ attempts to get the girl to let go of the dangerous weapon, raising a hand and moving it out of her hand and towards yours. Anakin looks up at you with wide, wondrous eyes, a heart-melting smile showcasing his tiny teeth.
Ahsoka tries to chase the sword, only to stumble and fall as it is carried away by an invisible force. Rex, upon seeing his friend on the ground, in the same position he just was in, gets up to help her, completely forgetting that he was the one screeching for help just moments before.
The lightsaber drifts smoothly towards your hand as Echo and Fives occupy themselves with their captain and commander, while a pair of wide blue eyes sparkle mischievously before a small hand reaches out just like yours. Suddenly it drops slightly, changing angle and moving towards your chest instead.
You look down to see a tiny hand reaching out, mirroring yours. Tiny Anakin furrows his brows as he draws the lightsaber towards himself. You’re too amazed to even think about how dangerous it all is.
The trance is broken once the sword reaches Anakin’s grabby hands, making him smile unbelievably wide, before you snatch it away. “No, you can’t touch that. You’ll hurt yourself.” You tell him sternly.
His pout returns, deepening as he processes what just happened, before a loud cry rips itself from his chest, catching everyone’s attention.
Echo sighs, rubbing his temples as he feels a headache coming on, holding Ahsoka’s hand while Fives holds his tiny captain on his hip. The Togruta runs towards you and Anakin with a determined expression, surprisingly not stumbling once.
You watch curiously as she approaches, turning off the deadly weapon, before clambering up onto your lap. She stares into Anakin's eyes, before enveloping him in a tight hug, smooshing her cheek against his.
Surprisingly, it works. It quickly makes the tiny Jedi quiet down, hugging back his commander while sniffling the rest of his tears away and putting on a brave face. As if to say 'I wasn't crying!', just like normal-sized Anakin would.
"General!" Sivix exclaims, drawing everyone's attention, "We've received a transmission from Commander Cody and General Kenobi. They are on their way." he can't hide his relief.
"Thank the Force." You sigh, making the children in your lap look at you with concern in their wide eyes, before raising their tiny arms and cheering when you shoot them a smile.
Not the worst of experiences, but you're definitely relieved to hear from Obi-Wan so soon.

Demon Rehab For Dummies
Summary: (Y/N) started seeing seven demons when she was 10. Through the years they all disappeared, all but one. Namjoon. A demon who has not so creepily, creepily, very creepily been in love with her for years.
Genre: fluff, crack, extremely minimal angst, idiots to lovers, romantic-comedy
Word count: 7384
Rating: Teen
Warnings: mentions of suggestive & kinky themes, a handful of cursing, a story with a plot but not doesn’t exactly have a plot, a stubborn (Y/N) who dismisses love confessions & genuine flirting, an unspoken confession
A/N: Hey! we're back, it's been a while. We're starting school in a while but it will be gamble if we'll be more active or not. Well... we ARE active but just not posting? Yeah, you know what I mean. This has been sitting in our drafts for a while now and we're posting it now... although it's pretty unedited, feel free to address any oopsies. Hope who ever finds this enjoys reading!
Tumblr media
At the ripe young age of ten (Y/N) began seeing seven men. Which- would’ve (should’ve) freaked any kid out but you know (Y/N) is just kinda quirky like that so she didn't really mind much. The men were nice and played with her anyway, and the only weird thing was that sometimes they would bring her dead birds.
At age eleven (Y/N) noticed that one of the men was missing. It didn’t affect her much except for the fact that this particular one would help her find things and she’d lost almost all of her socks since he disappeared. Not to mention the increase of bug bites after he left. The darn things seemed like they multiplied exponentially after a month.
By twelve only two of the men had disappeared, at this point (Y/N) not only lived in sandals (she still couldn’t find her socks) but she also couldn’t explain why her hair was burning off every time she tried to straighten it (her lil demon friends didn’t want her to, you’d think after almost 3 years of having men following her around and telling her what to do she’d get with the program already.) Her dog her parents had given her when she was 9 started disappearing quite often after he left. He always came back with a single sock that would disappear the next morning.
By thirteen (Y/N) had developed a crush (more like unhealthy obsession) on one of the men, Namjoon. The third year was also the year when Jimin disappeared, taking all of her favorite shoes with him. That year she had prayed to whoever was listening because her parents really couldn’t afford to keep buying her socks and shoes, and because she definitely couldn’t afford to shave her head.
By fourteen, Hoseok, the man who had cheered her up whenever she needed it, had gone, leaving a tidal wave of bad luck in his wake. He had a great deal in keeping (Y/N) happy, although some of his antics made her want to punch him, it never turned out that way.
When she was fifteen no one left… except for the dog. Aside from that, the only thing that left was her social life (It wasn’t like she had one before but you know it was still a little rough). (Y/N) began to depend more and more on her demons. She had become great friends with the oldest, Seokjin, who cooked for her when her parents went on trips.
At sixteen Yoongi left and the nightmares began. And with the nightmares came the growth of (Y/N)’s relationship with Namjoon. Namjoon became her protector, along with sometimes Seokjin, who still cooked for her and cared for her altogether when she couldn’t.
At seventeen, (Y/N) was informed that when she turned eighteen Seokjin would be leaving, on account that they didn’t need each other anymore. (Y/N) had been torn up when he told her and even more when he left. He didn’t take anything when he left other than a piece of (Y/N)’s heart.
At eighteen, (Y/N) moved away from her parents house with Namjoon trailing behind her (He even had lil demon suitcases and everything,) following her every move.
Tumblr media
“I really don’t understand why you had to follow me out of my parents house. I thought spirits are supposed to be attached to a general area…” (Y/N) took to unpacking a box in the small apartment she now lived in.
“(Y/N) how many times do we have to go over this, I'm a demon, DE-MON.” Namjoon clapped his hands with each syllable. (Y/N) rolled her eyes and flicked her wrist at the self-proclaimed demon.
“Demon, ghost, same thing.” She shrugged her shoulders, “same thing as to-may-to, to-mah-to.”
“It is not the same thing!” Namjoon looked at (Y/N) like it was obvious.
(Y/N) snorted, “Okay Casper.” She continued pulling out the items in the box.
Namjoon looked flabbergasted, “CASPER!?” Namjoon put a hand over his chest and widened his eyes. (Y/N) looked up at the demon with a raised brow,
“Geez Casper, why are you so offended? I’ve called you Casper before, Casper.” (Y/N) struggled to keep in her laughter, trying to keep a straight face as she looked at Namjoon.
Namjoon looked at (Y/N), “I think I shall simply cease to exist in your realm.”
(Y/N) looked back down at the almost empty box, “You wouldn’t do that, you love me too much, my dearest Casper.” She said in a singsong voice, “Oh hey I found a sock.” She pulled out said sock from the box, it had yellow stripes. :]
“I think Jungkook took the mate to that when he left.” (Y/N) threw the sock at Namjoon with a loud ‘FUCK!’
“I mean we could try and summon him to see if he’ll return your socks.” Namjoon shrugged.
“I wouldn’t even try.” She started putting the random items in their new places.
“You should put Juno on the window sill rather than the coffee table, I mean cacti do need sun.” Namjoon looked at the little green prickle plant.
“I’m sure if i didn’t tell you how to parent your child, it would’ve been confiscated by child protective services.” Namjoon crossed his arms and looked at Juno who had been (rightfully so) moved to the window sill.
“Casper- Juno is a cactus. There is no CPS (Cactus Protective Services).” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon with her own arms crossed over her chest and an eyebrow raised, “Now if you could- Can you please go unpack a few boxes?” (Y/N) shooed Namjoon away before her eyes widened and she added in, “NOTHING LABELED FRAGILE!”
Tumblr media
“You know if we painted a wall or two in here, it would liven up the place so much…” Namjoon looked around the bland apartment, “Maybe an accent wall over here. A floor lamp over there. A new plant in the kitchen. It wouldn’t hurt you to give Juno some siblings.”
(Y/N) looked flabbergasted, “You want me to pop out another child?!”
“No I mean-” Namjoon’s eyes widened.
“-OUT OF MY WALLET?!? MY BARELY 21 DOLLARS!?” (Y/N) got her wallet out and zipped it open. She shook it in the demon’s face, about 26 pennies, 2 nickels, 1 dime, and a quarter fell out. It was followed by a single, folded, 5 dollar bill.
“I don’t think that’s 21 dollars, (Y/N)” Namjoon looked down at the floor, where one or more of the coins had caught onto his feet.
“I have a gift card.” She pulled out the cheap plastic, silver, $25 visa gift card (that didn’t have 25 dollars) with a bit of a struggle.
“How much exactly is on that gift card (Y/N)?” Namjoon eyed the flimsy silver object.
“You expect me to know- I mean probably more than 10 dollars!” Namjoon raised a brow at the statement. “Okay, maybe about 3.69.” Namjoon sighed, massaging his temples. (Y/N) bent down to put the money back into her wallet like a pigeon eating bread crumbs the old lady on the bench threw onto the floor.
Namjoon walked away from the pigeon-girl and grabbed a notepad and pen that was left on the kitchen counter. “We’re making you a to-do list.” He stated, clicking the pen.
“WE haven’t even unpacked all the boxes yet.” (Y/N) whined, pointing at the last large box in the middle of the hallway. Namjoon looked to where she pointed and shrugged.
“It says Christmas decorations.”
“EXACTLY! VERY. IMPORTANT.” she clapped her hands in between each word.
“It’s February.” He said.
“It’s still winter.” (Y/N) reasoned, finally done picking up the money. She plopped herself down onto the small brown couch.
“Okay so first off you need a job.” He wrote it down onto the notepad, the pen scratching being overlapped by a loud gasp from the human in the room.
“You dare ignore me?!” She yelled offendedly at the demon who glanced at her before looking back down at what he was writing.
“You also need to go to the supermarket.”
“I told you I barely have any money.”
“Your parents gave you some money.”
“Oh, you’re right.”
“And also, you should walk to the school and find a short route to get there.” Namjoon pulled out a literal map.
(Y/N) pouted, “I thought you were gonna walk me to all my classes to deter all the frat boys from coming my way…”
“I did say that,” he confirmed before continuing. “But I mean to get to the actual school grounds.”
“But we have a car.” She had drawnout the ‘but,’ trying to make her point that she didn’t need to walk.
“But you need exercise.” He reasoned, mimicking the way she had said her words.
“Are you calling me fat?”
“No.”
“Yes you are.”
“(Y/N) i’m not.”
“Yeah you ARE, Casper.”
“Would you PLEASE call me by my actual name for once?”
“Sure thing. Rap Monster.” She teased, the ground started shaking. (Y/N) let out a loud screech looking up at the demon who’s eyes were rolled back. “OH FUCK YOU!”
The shaking died down, Namjoon staring down at the girl who was now underneath the coffee table. “This is why you’re still here!” she cried.
“You want me gone?” Namjoon questioned, offendedly. (Y/N) army crawled her way from her ‘safe spot.’
“I DIDN’T SAY THAT!” She yelled, returning the offended tone.
“I’m out,” Namjoon pivoted on his heel, walking to the front door robotically.
“Noooo!”
Tumblr media
“Will I ever see my socks again?” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon with hope, “I mean having shoes would be great too though.”
“What’s wrong with living in sandals? Birkenstocks are very comfortable.” Namjoon pivoted around with a candle in his hand.
“It’s winter.” (Y/N) frowned.
“You could always use mine?” He gestured to the shoes at the shoe rack at the front door. The ones that were closed toed…
“Your feet are too big.” (Y/N) looked over at the shoes, then looked down at her own feet, then at the demon.
“Size didn’t matter Last night with your sweaters?”
“That’s different, Namjoon.” (Y/N) rolled her eyes.
“Size.” Namjoon smirked.
“Different.” (Y/N) stood confidently.
“You know, you could always just go buy new socks?” Namjoon looked at her oddly.
“I usually wait to get them for Christmas, you should know this by now.”
“Independence.” He stated.
“You’re a hypocrite.” Namjoon let out a ‘huh?’ and (Y/N) continued, “You said independence when you’re dependent on me.”
“That isn’t my fault.” Namjoon raised his hands in defense.
“It kind of is though…” (Y/N) shrugged, Namjoon opened his mouth to retort but was quickly cut off, “I’m literally a rehab center for you.”
“Apparently you’re not a nicely rated one.” Namjoon shook his head.
“I’ve helped 6 other demons, Namjoon. You’re just being difficult.” (Y/N) poked his chest really hard before retracting her hand.
“Ouch,” he put his hand over his heart where she had poked him, “You shouldn’t be saying these things to your client.”
“I didn’t ask to get a client or even BE a rehab center.”
“The reason why you became a rehab center was because you decided that humans were ugly and disgusting.”
“The reason why you ended up with me was because you did something bad and you just now decided to be a good person and it’s not turning out well for you.”
“For your information, I could have left a long time ago.” Namjoon crossed his arms, with an audible exhale from his nose. He stared down at the rehab center.
“And why didn’t you, hm?” (Y/N) crossed her arms also with a raised brow. Namjoon kept quiet, debating how to answer, keeping eye contact as if it was an olympic staring contest.
“You.” He said. (Y/N) snorted, ready to insult the patient. “-would’ve starved to death by now if I hadn’t stayed with you until now.” He finished, (Y/N) gasped, reaching up and hitting Namjoon on the shoulder.
“You. Jerk. Get. Away. From. Me.” She hit him harder every word before waddling away into the hallway from the chuckling demon.
“No problem,” Namjoon disappeared with a veil of sparkles out of view.
(Y/N) thrusted open the door to her new bedroom. Continuing her waddle to the end of the full size bed. Facing the head board, she plopped the top half of her body onto the bed front first. Namjoon reappeared about 6 feet away from her with a loud poof and a burst of sparkles scattering around the room.
“Go away.” (Y/N)’s face was still shoved into the mattress, “Seriously shoo.” (Y/N) lifted her arm off the bed to wave him off.
“I won’t go. You can’t make me.” Namjoon walked towards the bed hesitantly, scared to get fucking murdered by his prison warden, “Move over. Give me some room.”
“Go sleep in my closet.” (Y/N) flipped the demon off.
“You’d prefer nightmares over your dearest Casper?”
“Yes.” Namjoon sat down on the bed, his knee almost hitting the girl’s head. “I thought I said in the closet.”
“And I prefer the bed.” Namjoon leaned forward and took (Y/N) by her hands and pulled her closer to himself with an annoyed groan from her. She was pulled until her head was laid on his chest, wrapping his arms around her.
“I hate you.” (Y/N) grumbled into her demon-pillow.
“I know.”
“You live because I allow it, and that is it to be my flesh pillow.”
“Okay, now sleep.”
Tumblr media
“But why do you have to leave?” (Y/N) looked up at her bunk buddy, her chin was impaling the person’s chest.
“I have to. I'm ready to go.” Yoongi looked crestfallen, “They said I could have one more night. But then, when I leave, I can pass on my role.”
“Could you maybe not steal my socks?” (Y/N) pouted at Yoongi who chuckled in response. “This is a genuine request.” She said with slight seriousness in her tone.
“You don’t have any to steal anyways,” he rolled his eyes with an endearing smirk that replaced his dispirited look just seconds before.
“Ok just- don’t go stealing any of my clothing, I need it.” (Y/N) clicked her tongue, not denying the fact that she was sockless.
“I won’t. I don’t need your clothing.” Yoongi shrugged, “I might take your guinea pig though. Meatloaf is cute.”
“YOU wouldn’t DARE take Meatloaf from me.” She glared
“I can and I will.” Yoongi crossed his arms over his chest and looked towards the cage that housed Meatloaf. (Y/N) groaned, unlatching an arm that was sandwiched between the bed and Yoongi’s back. She planted her palm smack in the middle of the demon’s face, covering his view of the poor guinea pig.
“No.” She patted his face, Yoongi’s eyes now squeezed shut.
“I can lick your hand.” he threatened, his voice muffled and jumpy from the wacky hand.
“You’re gross,” she moved her hand up, now only covering his eyes and revealing a gummy smile from Yoongi.
“It’s sleep time,” he declared. (Y/N) whined in response, “I’ll be here in the morning to say goodbye one more time okay?”
“Promise?”
“Never said that,” he hummed.
“You jerk,” she groaned, laying her head sideways. Her ear over his heart, engraving the sound into her mind.
Like a cliche love story, (Y/N) woke up to no one but herself on the bed. Through groggy eyes, she could see that poor Meatloaf was gone too.
“I tried to stop him from taking Meatloaf I swear.” Namjoon uncrossed his arms from over his chest when he noticed that (Y/N) was awake.
“Did you really?” (Y/N) sat up in bed.
“I did, I swear,” he said immediately, “I have proof.”
“By proof, do you mean you broke something?” Namjoon took a deep breath figuring out whether or not to say yes or no.
“I… never said that.” He decided on dying, his words drifting off in nervousness.
“So… you did?” She concluded, Namjoon nodded slowly, his eyes down on the floor.
“Yea…” (Y/N) sighed, trying to find anger to cover up a tsunami of sadness that was approaching.
“It’ll be okay. We can summon him every once in a while. Maybe while we’re at it we can try to get your socks back.” Namjoon smiled and hoped it would make her feel better while the reality of things had begun to set in for him. All of the boys loved (Y/N) with all of their hearts but he was the only one willing to stay for the long run.
“I don’t think people want to go back to a rehab center, Namjoon.” (Y/N) let the tears begin to pour.
“(Y/N) it’ll be okay…” Namjoon went over to sit on the bed next to (Y/N), “Seriously we’ll get through this.” Namjoon put a hesitant hand onto (Y/N)’s shoulder and began trying to comfort her.
“I know- I know but-” (Y/N) sniffled, “Hold on, my mascara will run.”
“You’re not wearing any?-” Namjoon raised a brow and looked at (Y/N) like ‘bih-’
“Shush.” (Y/N) shushed Namjoon before shaking off his hand and placing her head on his shoulder.
Tumblr media
“You know you can’t prevent me from getting a boyfriend forever.” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon before continuing to pack her bag for school.
“I can and I will.” Namjoon slung his own bag over his shoulder. He was definitely a professor.
“You can’t make me be single forever.” (Y/N) rolled her eyes and slung her backpack onto her shoulders.
“Your preferences in men are horrible (Y/N), I'm not trying to prevent you from getting a man.” Namjoon said in a matter of fact voice, moving and opening the front door, letting (Y/N) pass through before he walked out behind her.
She scoffed, “maybe you should hook me up with someone, maybe then you can leave rehab.”
“I miss Meatloaf,” Namjoon said solemnly, changing the subject.
“Why do you always change the subject when I bring up my love life?” (Y/N) complained, stomping her foot as they walked down the hallway of the apartment building toward the elevator.
“Do you think Yoongi will respond if we try to summon him?” He ignored the question.
“Hey Joon? Is your dick ribbed? I heard all the demon dicks were ribbed.”
Namjoon stopped in his tracks, putting his feet together and staring down at the human with a face screaming ‘what-the-fuck?’ (Y/N) had a boxy smile on her face, waiting for a response. “Who the fuck did you hear that from?”
“A fanfic I read, it was a group called DTS,” she shrugged. “Is it right though?” she leaned forward slightly in high expectations.
“Well-” Namjoon paused, “uhhh…” his eyes darted around. “Mine… isn’t.”
“Damn- that’s really disappointing,” (Y/N) frowned, throwing down an imaginary hat onto the ground and continuing walking with Namjoon following behind her.
“Why is it disappointing? You’re a virgin.” Namjoon raised an eyebrow.
“Why would you think I’m a virgin?” (Y/N) looked offended. They stopped in front of the closed silver elevator doors, Namjoon hit the down button before responding.
“You literally had no social life in middle and high school and depended on demons who were attached to you by force in order to not lose your ability to speak in English.” Namjoon raised a finger, “Plus I’ve known you since you were ten and unless it was before that… I would know.” He slipped into the elevator, turning around and walking backwards. A know-it-all smirk plastered on his face while (Y/N) had an annoyed look on her own.
“Can we just- stop before we start arguing about my sex life?” She marched forward into the elevator like a preteen going into their room after an argument with their parents.
Tumblr media
“How did you even become a professor?” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon confused. “Couldn’t you have just you know… poofed yourself from people’s view when I go to school?”
“I need something to do while you’re in class. I might as well teach asshole frat boys how to do business math amiright.” Namjoon chuckled.
“I mean… you can just be the ghost you are and haunt me n’ stuff?” (Y/N) suggested, “I mean you already do that, Casper.”
“That’s Professor Casper to you.” Namjoon laughed too hard at his own joke.
“Ew,” (Y/N) cringed. “I’d rather call you Daddy Casper.”
“Only in the bedroom.” Namjoon looked at the human.
“Sex doesn’t always have to be private.” (Y/N) stared back at the demon, flipping her hair back. “Wait- are YOU a virgin then?” She asked, bringing back the topic from earlier, but this time about Namjoon.
“Classified.” Namjoon glared.
“So you ARE a virgin?” (Y/N) snorted a laugh, “And you call yourself a demon.”
“Not all demons are incubi or succubi, your demon-racist.” Namjoon accused.
“I am not demon-racist.” (Y/N) looked up at the tall demon, “I’m human.”
“You’re not a human, you’re the personification of the word ‘dumbass.’” He said, poking the proclaimed dumbass on the forehead.
“Rude of you to assume what I am, Casper.” (Y/N) smacked away his hand and pushed Namjoon not so gently on the shoulder.
“Now you’re the hypocrite,” Namjoon glared, “Professor Casper.” (Y/N) rolled her eyes, “Daddy Casper.”
Namjoon frowned, “If you’re so persistent on not calling me Professor, then just Daddy works fine.”
The girl shrugged, “I’d prefer to just call you Daddy Casper, but without the Daddy part.”
“But what if I want to be called Daddy Casper.” Namjoon wiggled his eyebrows suggestively as they walked through the gates of the school, the walk soon enough would be coming to an end.
“Woahhhh down bessie.” (Y/N) lifted her hands and moved them in a downward motion, “Save it for the student who’s gonna try to fuck you for their grade.”
Namjoon laughed again, “You say it as if it won’t be you trying to fuck for an A.”
“I don’t get how an idiot like you got a job as a professor.” (Y/N) punched Professor Namjoon on the shoulder who was still laughing at the insult he pulled out his ass against the girl.
“I don’t know how an idiot like you got into college.” Namjoon rubbed his shoulder and then pushed (Y/N) back with a grin on his face. The bell conveniently rang, ending the conversation and forcing the pair to speed their way over to the classrooms.
Tumblr media
“You know I saw one of the sorority girls eyeing you, I think we’ve found our fuck-for-a-grade person.” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon, “You wouldn’t fuck her right?”
“I would never fuck one of my students.” Namjoon looked at (Y/N), “Plus I don’t like cheerleaders, I like depressed freshmen who can see demons and that double time as rehab facilities.”
“I am not a rehab facility. I am a struggling freshman.” (Y/N) clapped at Namjoon.
“No you’re not a rehab facility, you’re my rehab facility.” Namjoon smiled cheekily, “And the way I see it you are not a struggling freshman, you live with a professor that helps you with most of your homework.”
“Eh- The one thing you don’t help with is stress relief.” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon, “The least you could do is let me go out and find a boyfriend.”
“You HAVE a boyfriend.” Namjoon looked at (Y/N) seriously.
“WHERE? WHO?” (Y/N)’s eyes frantically searched the room.
“HERE! ME!” Namjoon pointed at himself and then widened his eyes.(Y/N) looked at Namjoon with a raised brow, her frantic eyes stopping and looking the demon up and down.
“I didn’t know you had a rental-boyfriend service?” (Y/N) said in genuine shock, “I don’t have any money though so-“
“You don’t have to rent me.” Namjoon scoffed, “I’m right here and I cost no money.”
“I don’t take charity work, sorry.” Namjoon groaned and covered his face with a hand.
“You’re literally the most stubborn person I know.”
“I’m trying to keep my single streak here, thank you very much.”
“Wait so we aren’t dating?”
“You thought we were dating?”
“You didn’t think that?”
“You like me?”
“You didn’t know?”
“I mean- you never said it-”
“I literally said it seconds ago, (Y/N).”
“Well yeah, seconds ago I guess but I mean before?”
“I literally confessed to you when we were looking for apartments to move out of your parents house.”
“When?-”
Tumblr media
“What about this place then?”
“I like it.”
“More than you like me?”
“No.”
“Good.”
“Are you questioning my love for you?”
“Bitch, maybe I am.”
“You shouldn’t.”
“Why shouldn’t I be questioning it then, hmm?”
“I’m literally helping you look for a home that we both will move into.”
“That proves nothing.”
“Bitch- If that doesn’t say ‘I LOVE YOU’ I don’t know what does.”
“Oh, I don't know. Maybe saying ‘I love you’ straight up?”
“Fine.”
“Fine.”
“I love you.”
“Nice.”
Tumblr media
“Ohhhhhh.” (Y/N) smiled, “You meant that?”
Namjoon looked at her with a blank face. She stared back waiting for an answer that didn’t come.
“So… you do mean it?” She confirmed it herself. The demon nodded slowly, waiting for her to process it.
“(Y/N)? You good?” Namjoon waved a hand in front of her face.
“You know,” she started, finally having rebooted her system. “There’s a lot of things wrong with this relationship. First of all, you’re a demon and I'm a human.”
“Not the first time I've heard of that type of relationship.”
“Secondly, you’re supposed to leave soon considering you’ve delayed it enough. Even using my personified dreamcatcher as compensation to stay longer.”
I’m pretty sure at this point, they’ve given up on trying to get me back.”
“Third of all, it’s weird that you’ve literally known me since I was ten.” She held up ten fingers, “How old are you again?”
“Not that old for a demon,” he shrugged.
“Exactly. For a demon, thank you for proving my point.” Namjoon went to retort but (Y/N) continued. “Fourth, teacher and student relationships are weird.”
“People roleplay it in the bedroom?” Namjoon shrugged once again.
“Exactly,” she said again.
“It’s technically not weird since you’re not my student though. You’re definitely not a business major so…” Namjoon weighed the pros and cons of being caught with a student even if said student isn’t even one of his.
“I’m an English Major- BUT that’s besides the point. You’ve still known me since I was ten.” (Y/N) poked Namjoon’s chest.
“Hey it’s not like I was creeping on you when you were a kid…” Namjoon raised his hands in defense.
“No you just started creeping on me when I was around sixteen.”
“It’s more acceptable than pedophiles!”
“You’re like three hundred!” She exclaimed, she threw her hands above her head to
“Add about seven-hundred years to that.” Namjoon added with slight hesitation.
(Y/N) stood there, mouth agape, trying to do the mental math.
“You’re one-thousand?!”
“Give or take some.”
“I- I’m going to remove myself from this situation.” (Y/N) walked away.
[:] I ran out of image things, so we get text from now on. [:]
“Maybe I should start sleeping in the closet.” Namjoon voiced his thoughts as he was grading papers one night.
“You don’t have to sleep in the closet.” (Y/N) looked at the demon from across the kitchen table.
“The closet is comfortable.” Namjoon shrugged before voicing his concerns about the student’s work, “I’m pretty sure this student is gonna try to suck my dick for an A. This work sucks ass. How did she even get x=34? The answer is x=0!”
“I’m bad at math, don't look at me.” (Y/N) jotted a note down on her work before closing her notebook.
“But anyway- Back on track. Why do you want to start sleeping in the closet?” (Y/N) raised a questioning brow.
“Because the bed is awkward now.” Namjoon sighed before writing a bold ‘10/35’ down on the paper and circling it. (Y/N) glanced over at the paper that was marked red at every inch of it.
“You should put ‘see me after class’ on it. Maybe she’ll suck your non-ribbed demon dick.” (Y/N) suggests as she puts away her notebook. Namjoon’s fist hit the table in annoyance with a loud sigh that definitely said ‘i’m not getting some dumb bitch to suck my dick.’ The girl snorted, “Geez, no need to be so rough on the table.”
“Stop bringing up my non-ribbed demon dick.” Namjoon glared across the table.
“You admit that it’s not ribbed? That’s rough, man.” (Y/N) sighed sympathetically. “Some people are into that, you know.” Namjoon facepalmed, a bit too harshly, a loud smack echoing in the cramped apartment. “No need to be so rough, Casper.”
“You’d probably like it rough, and why the hell are you so bent on the fact that my dick isn’t ribbed?” Namjoon glared, moving onto the next student’s paper.
“We’ve taken the god damn BDSM test together, Casper. You KNOW I'd like it rough.” (Y/N) said in a smart-ass tone, knowing for a fact that they’ve done the test before.
“That shit lies,” Namjoon declared, “I’m not a bottom.”
“We know sweetie, we know. The test did you dirty.” (Y/N) weighed her options before ultimately deciding not to cross the room to comfort her demon. “But you know, the test DID have some direct questions-”
“You mean like the golden showers?”
“Ew, why would you even bring that up.”
“You said ‘direct questions.'” Namjoon shrugged.
“That question was traumatic.” (Y/N) shuddered, “But anyway, You can keep sleeping in the bed. It’s only awkward for you. Plus you can’t even be a demon dreamcatcher from a closet.”
“I can and I will. Now go get ready for bed. I'll join you in a bit. I have to email the kids' advisor.”
[:] Oh wow, another spliter [:]
“What’s awkward about this?” (Y/N) asked, ignorant to the fact that it was very awkward. Her legs were wrapped around the demon’s waist, who was laying down as straight as a log uncomfortably.
“Everything is uncomfortable.” Namjoon tried to push (Y/N) off of him.
“This is where you’re wrong,” (Y/N) states. “Your chesticles are very comfortable.” She furthered her point, by moving her head and weirdly nuzzling her cheek into his chest.
“(Y/N) get off of me.” Namjoon was now really uncomfortable.
“No.” (Y/N) pulled Namjoon’s log-body closer.
“Please?” Namjoon wiggled some more, “Seriously (Y/N) get off.”
“No…” (Y/N) held Namjoon tighter, “Imma go sleep now.”
“Ok (Y/N).” With that Namjoon pushed (Y/N) up and off of him and climbed out of bed and into the closet.
(Y/N) whined, “Nooooooo!” She looked at the closet through her eyebrows. “Are you hiding something from me?” She accused the demon.
“Excuse me?” Namjoon opened the closet door a bit.
“Oh my god- are you a closet gay?” She gasped loudly.
“WHAT?” Namjoon looked at (Y/N) from the crack in the doorway.
“It’s okay! You don’t need to use a fake confession to hide it from me.” She comforted the demon, “I will support you 1000 percent.”
“I’M NOT GAY!” Namjoon wiggled around in the closet before emerging from the space.
“Okay okay- but just so you know, there’s nothing wrong with being gay, Casper. Closeted or not.” She hummed, her words being muffled as she slowly put her face into the mattress.
“It’s been awkward since you basically called me a cradle robber, you stubborn piece of shit.” Namjoon blushed at his confession.
“I thought you didn’t care about that earlier.” (Y/N) looked back up, taking a deep breath of air after almost suffocating herself.
“Well I did.” Namjoon huffed out the breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
“Well that sucks,” (Y/N) said blandly, “I was thinking of saying I love you.”
“The fuck- wait,” Namjoon’s eyes widened.
“Night night.”
[:] Cockadoodle-Doo it's morning [:]
The next morning came around quickly for (Y/N), though I wouldn’t say the same for Namjoon. Having him overthinking the “postponed” love confession from (Y/N). Meanwhile, though the night was quick, the morning dragged the girl by the toilet paper stuck at the bottom of her shoe.
Frown plastered on her face, seemingly deep in thought. She was unmoving in her seat aside from her wrist moving to stir the half eaten cereal in front of her. Namjoon sat across from her, “You can stop thinking, you’re going to hurt your head.”
The insult snapped the girl out of her concentration, she looked up and clicked her tongue. “I was just thinking about you. You want me to stop doing that?”
Namjoon raised a brow, “Depends on what you were thinking about.”
“I was wondering if we could summon the boys,” (Y/N) smiled before continuing, “Maybe get my socks back…”
“Are you saying you’d enjoy the company of your socks more than you with me?” Namjoon asked rhetorically with a shocked expression. (Y/N) gagged and rolled her eyes.
“Namjoon…” she said with a honey coated tone. “Are you saying you don’t know that I know you’ve used MY socks before?” The accused had a shocked look on his face that looked like he was on the verge of throwing up.
(Y/N) started snickering, amused by the demon’s expression. “As if I'd use your cheap ass yellow striped socks,” Namjoon aimed his nose at the ceiling. The girl laughed harder, finding the insult to her socks a bit too amusing.
“Okay, back on topic,” she said in between giggles, “We’ll get back to this later.” Namjoon shook his head, unamused unlike the person across from him.
The offended sock insulter cleared his throat, “We should have enough time before we need to go to the school to summon one of them.” He said in a factual voice, (Y/N) nodded as she took a glance at the time that read 7:23 am.
“What did we need again?” She got up from the stool she sat on, abandoning the poor soggy cereal. Namjoon got up also with a hum of thought.
“Candles and a lighter are the main things, obviously,” He says. (Y/N) nodded going into one of the kitchen cabinets for the items. “And if we’re summoning all of them, we’d need offerings…” Namjoon drifted off.
(Y/N) put down the candles onto the marble counter and looked at Namjoon questionably, “So… we need another hamster and dog?” This made the demon pause before nodding slowly, the situation becoming a bit more difficult than it needed to be now.
“And then what about Hobi? What he took wasn’t exactly… a physical object?” She also put it into consideration and clicked her tongue. “I’m still mad at you for sacrificing my literal source of happiness and good luck for yourself.” Namjoon’s jaw dropped.
“I thought we were past this!” He threw his hands up in the air, (Y/N) flipping him off simultaneously.
“Maybe you were,” she sassed, pointing fingers with a half assed glare.
“Technically, it wasn’t a sacrifice, (Y/N).” He said, crossing his arms.
“Well-” She was cut off by the demon.
“Nuh uh, It was just him choosing to leave and wanting to stay,” he snapped, not in a harsh way though.
“But-”
“You know what, let’s just try and summon them another day. I don’t think it’d work anyways.” Namjoon said, dismissing the topic by waving his hand, taking a glance at the tree outside.
[:] Wooshy flash back time I guess [:]
“Why are you still here?” (Y/N) looked at Namjoon, “I mean weren’t you supposed to leave this year?”
“I was supposed to leave instead of Hobi last year. I asked to stay.” Namjoon was sitting nonchalantly in one of the lounge chairs in her parents' living room reading the book she was supposed to be reading for school.
“Why didn’t you leave when you were supposed to?” (Y/N) looked at the demon, a look of confusion evident on her features.
“Who else is supposed to write your book reports for school?” Namjoon smirked while holding up the book before going back to reading said book.
“Then why did Hobi leave? Did he not want to be attached anymore?” (Y/N) began to tear up.
“It’s not that. I asked to stay because I felt I wasn’t ready to leave yet and Hoseok felt he was ready to leave. Most of the time, we leave when our time comes (Y/N). Hobi and mine were at the same time and I wanted to stay so I stayed.” Namjoon smiled at (Y/N).
“But why didn’t Hobi want to stay?” (Y/N)’s tears were flowing freely at this point.
“(Y/N)! Are you crying?” (Y/N)’s mom came rushing downstairs to investigate why her only child was crying.
“I’m fine.” Even (Y/N) wasn’t convincing herself, “Really Mom, I’m just over exhausted. I’m gonna go up to my room.”
[:] And back to the present :) [:]
“Are you almost ready to go?” Namjoon popped his head into the bedroom, “We have to leave soon if you want to be on time for school.”
“I’m almost ready, relax. And don’t you have a class to teach and a non-ribbed dick to get sucked by that one bitch for an A?” (Y/N) scoffed from where she was printing an essay that Namjoon had written the night before.
Namjoon started counting down from five, “Five- You better fucking get your ass in gear or you’re gonna be late. Four- Seriously (Y/N). Three- Professor Howard can’t give you another pass just because he likes you. Two-” Namjoon got cut off by (Y/N).
“I’m ready, asshole.” (Y/N) looked at him, “You better not let that bitch Brianna suck your dick.”
“I won’t let her suck my dick!” Namjoon raised his hands in defense, “What about my toes though?” (Y/N) looked at the demon with a face of disgust and looked at him from head to toe.
“Are you Namjoon or Taehyung?” She squinted, looking at his face.
“It was a joke!” Namjoon smirked, “But I'm sure she’ll do it for an A anyway.”
“I’m done with this conversation Casper.” With that (Y/N) slung her bag over her shoulder and left.
“Hey wait!” Namjoon grabbed his own bag before speed walking after (Y/N).
[:] Professor Casper or Daddy Casper? [:]
“SO.” (Y/N) sat down across from Namjoon in his office, “Rumour has it that you’re dating a cute english-lit major and are up for evaluation. What say you in your defense?”
“I mean I am dating a cute english-lit major. But I’m not up for evaluation, I used my demon charms to get out the punishment.”
Namjoon looked at (Y/N) seriously.
“Did you actually?” (Y/N) gaped at Namjoon.
“No. I explained that dating you is punishment enough.” Namjoon smiled, his dimples popping.
“Bastard.” (Y/N)looked at Namjoon.
“Bitch.” Namjoon smirked at (Y/N) before leaning over the desk and kissing her on the forehead, “I love you.”
“Good.” (Y/N) blushed.
There, through the window of the office, there were 6 peeping toms watching the couple.
“Adadada-uda,” Taehyung stuttered, “THEY’RE SO CUTE!”
“This looks like it’d turn out like a straight porn video on the hub,” Yoongi says bluntly.
Jungkook looked at Yoongi, “Ew straight.”
“Moving on,” Seokjin cleared his throat, “Does anyone remember when (Y/N) said I love you back?”
A series of “No’s” could be heard.
“Maybe we weren’t watching!” Jimin raised his hands, “But when were we not watching?”
“Oh I know!” Hoseok interrupted, “When they split up because of classes earlier. We left Yoongi hyung in charge just in case something happened.”
“I took a nap and must've missed it.” The guilty demon shrugged.
“No, (Y/N) definitely isn’t someone who confesses straight up.” Seokjin said, stroking his chin. The rest nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, that's why she didn’t have a man when we were still there.” Jungkook snorted.
“No JK, we all know the reason why (Y/N) was always single. Was because she was pining after Namjoon.” Jimin stated the obvious.
[:] Damn. Imagine having someone to kiss in public. Or at all. [:]
“So how do you reckon the staff caught onto us… I mean PDA really isn’t our thing.” Namjoon looked at (Y/N), “Who have you told?”
“I haven’t told anyone!” (Y/N) frowned, “Maybe someone saw us go home together? I bet it was that bitch Brianna. She gives off the stalker vibes.”
“I’m not gonna let her suck my dick.” Namjoon looked at (Y/N), “And she’s already failing my class so even if I did let her suck my non-ribbed punisher, she still would probably only have a D-.”
“Hey- I thought we stopped referring to your dick as non-ribbed.” Namjoon raised a brow, making a face that said ‘you’re-the-one-who-started-it.’
Reading his expression (Y/N) glared at the demon, “Technically you’re the one who started it because you freely admitted it freely.”
“What makes you find out the hard way that my dick isn’t ribbed?” Namjoon looked at (Y/N) suggestively before flopping namtiddie first into the couch.
“I think I would've preferred finding out the hard way.” (Y/N) flopping onto Namjoon’s hard back.
“So I can’t even have the couch to myself?” Namjoon groaned before realizing what (Y/N) meant by ‘finding out the hard way,’ “Are you saying you rather had found out in the heat of the moment after having prepared yourself for a ribbed demon dick?” Namjoon leaned his head up to bump (Y/N) who still had her fat ass on his back, “I can’t breathe, get off.”
(Y/N) rolled off of Namjoon before plopping herself down in front of Namjoon, “That’s exactly what I am saying.”
[:] Smh stalkers at every moment [:]
“And I got a big fat ass!” (Y/N) shook her ass while singing off-key.
“Your ass is everything but big, baby.” Namjoon passed (Y/N) to reach for the garlic from the spice cabinet.
The girl turned and looked at Namjoon with an offended look, “You know. As my rental boyfriend, you’re supposed to be nice.”
Garlic forgot, Namjoon turned to (Y/n) and grabbed her waist, “I’m not your rental boyfriend and you know that.”
(Y/N) laughed, “Okay go off I guess, not my rental boyfriend.” (Y/N) rolled her eyes before pushing Namjoon away.
“Woman,” Namjoon placed a hand over his heart, “You wound me.”
(Y/N) turned around and smiled at her demon, “I could argue that you’re the one that wounds me.”
“I do not wound you.” Namjoon scoffs, “But I could very well wound you if you keep saying i’m a rental boyfriend, love.”
“Well we wouldn’t want you to wound me now would we,” (Y/N) smiled up at Namjoon before leaning in and placing a quick peck to his lips, “I love you.”
Namjoon smiled before returning (Y/N)’s peck with a chaste kiss, “I love you too, baby.”
*Meanwhile from the dining room 6 men were watching from not so afar*
“Hyung! Hyung! Did you see that!” Jungkook excitedly pointed towards the couple in the kitchen.
Yoongi groaned, “See what?”
“Le gasp! How could you have missed that!” Taehyung held a hand over his heart, “(Y/N) initiated affection for once!”
Jin smiled, “It really was adorable.”
[:] Oh look, you're at the end. [:]
“Every kiss begins with consent.” Namjoon wiggled his shoulders while grading papers at the table.
(Y/N) smirked before leaning over the table and planting a large whet kiss on Namjoon’s cheek.
“Rude.” Namjoon scoffed before pulling (Y/N) in for a proper kiss.
“You know that kiss didn’t have much of my consent in it.” (Y/N) smiled before leaning in for another kiss.
“I don’t think I consented to that either though.” Namjoon smiled.
“Get back to work baby.” (Y/N) nudged Namjoon towards his pile of papers.
“Yeah yeah.” Namjoon smiled before looking down and putting a big red ‘F’ on a paper clearly marked Brianna Simms.
“When will she just drop the class?” (Y/N) chuckled, “Dumbass.”
