Nine new Star Wars fics by me!

I participated in the Star Wars Rare Pair 2023 Exchange, and somehow ended up writing nine several fics, and not all of them Luke/Leia! The majority of them are very short "treats" that I wrote for the BINGO challenge, but they were all fun so I wanted to share them here. Hope you enjoy!

Bridging the Distance (Luke/Leia/Han Solo), 3,389 words, Teen+ (written for Ekevka)

It was like trying to catch moths. It was like trying to hold onto water that kept flowing out of his hands. Luke and Leia belonged together, two halves of a whole, and yet they refused to admit it. Han was just privileged enough to be there to witness it, but he was also determined, he hoped, to be the one who could be the catalyst.

Can we have headcanons for Vader’s reaction?

Okay, let's see here...

Now, I think we can all agree Vader does anything he can to get his hands on any and all peices of information on his son.

For "research purposes" ofc. (Not. It's cuz he's a snoop. Anakin's still in there, ya know! )

And lo and behold, what is this Vader finds?

What's this Mandalorian bounty hunter doing tagging along with Luke?

...and not bringing him in for that sweet reward Vader placed on his son's head?

So, Vader being Vader (or Anakin being Anakin) starts to keep a closer eye on this Mando.

He pours over holo footage of this Mando lending a hand to Luke, the princess, and that accursed smuggler Solo (at least Solo seems to be just as disgruntled as he is!)

So from that 3 year gap between ANH and Empire, Vader just can't shake the feeling that this Mando...there's something going on there but he can't figure out what...

AND THEN COMES BESPIN

Vader's trap is set. It goes as planned...until it doesn't. (Shocker, right?)

While that Mando's not there, he *does* overhear a little conversation between Leia and Han about him...and Luke.

He would've choked if he could.

Luke. His son. The only person he still cares about.

Is dating?

A Mandalorian?

Force, no.

Not on his fucking watch.

Vader manages to keep his indignation under control for a bit - until he blurts out (before the I am your father moment) to Luke that he *knows* about his relationship.

Luke is, understandably, confused and worried.

On one hand, "oh no Vader knows about Din!"

On the other... (mind the pun)

What does Luke's love life have to do with Vader?! Has Vader been stalking him or something?! (Yes Luke. The answer is yes.)

Then comes the reveal and Luke's ultimate escape, leaving Vader even more frazzled.

First, he finds out he has a son.

Then, that son has a boyfriend. (Who is he? What did he look like under that stupid helmet!!? How old was he - Vader needs to know, okay?!)

Then comes an offhanded comment from Boba Fett.

"Oh, a Mando is silver and red armor? Yeah I know him."

"WHO IS HE!?"

Boba makes a tsking sound.

"No can do boss. Part of his creed - only he can give out his name. Sorry boss."

"I DEMAND THAT YOU TELL ME RIGHT NOW-"

Boba's comm goes off.

Fett knows its Din. He answers.

"Yes?"

"Got some spare time?"

"Yeah, sure, be there in a sec."

Boba turns to the still fuming Vader, who's muttering threats to himself.

"Well, I'm outta here." Boba says to himself.

He leaves and meets up with Din, drops off the carbonite form of Han Solo with him (to get back to Leia), and says:

"Oh yeah, pro tip Djarin - don't piss off Darth Vader."

"??? Okay??? Why would you need to tell me that?"

"Because you better start running - you've got yourself onto Vader's hit-list."

"FOR WHAT?!?!"

Boba shrugs. "Something about 'I'll teach that no good son-stealing thief what happens when you kriff the son of a Sith Lord'"

"....."

"You haven't been kriffing a Sith's son have you?"

"....."

"Oh my fuc- Djarin. Djarin you are so dead. Better find that blondie of yours and hide behind him. Vader's gonna end you. Run. Save yourself."

Somebody Who Loves You [Princess Leia x Fem!Reader]

Pairing: Princess Leia x Female Reader

“I don’t like this.” Leia muttered next to you as you both make your way off the Falcon. You felt your heart flutter for a moment just from being so close to her. You had an infatuation with the princess, practically had from the moment you’d helped the boys rescue her from the Death Star. There was just something about her that drew you in, but for now, you were tense. You didn’t like that Han took you all here, but you knew it was the best person to bring the Falcon to to get her fixed up.

“Neither do I, but for entirely different reasons I’m sure.” You replied, turning your gaze toward the door of the building before you, waiting for what was about to go down.

“Look, don't worry, everything is going to be fine, trust me.” Han added, turning around to look at the both of you, though he gave you a bit more of a pointed look than Leia. You knew why. You’d been working with Han and Chewie for years, basically since they won the Falcon and you knew quite well that things were not going to be fine.

All three of your attentions were drawn as the door to the building finally opened and out walked the person you’d been dreading to see.

“Why you slimy, no good, double crossing, swindler.” Lando huffed, as he came over towards you all. You watched his face, his eyes were on Han for the moment, but you knew he’d seen you. “You got a lot of guts coming here after what you pulled.”

You watched as Han mockingly gestured to himself in confusion only for Lando to slowly creep forward before pulling Han into a hug, laughing.

“How are you doing, you old pirate, so good to see you.” Lando laughed, and some of the tensions drained from your body. Lando lets go of Han and his gaze drifts towards you.

You flash Lando a nervous smile and he grins big at you.

“And you even brought back my swindling traitor of a sister. How kind of you!”

“Swindler? I’d hate to hear what you are then.” You replied teasingly as Lando came over to hug you as well. You relaxed fully as you embraced your brother back. Years ago, after Han and Chewie won the Falcon, you decided to go and join them, leaving your brother behind. Lando was hurt you chose them over him, and you’d always worried coming back to him would only worsen things between the two of you. Now though, you were only relieved to not only know Lando didn’t want to shoot you and Han where you stood, but also was just happy to see you.

Lando laughed and let go of you after a few moments, gesturing for you all to follow him inside. “Come on, let’s get you all inside.” He began walking off, Han and Chewie following him, asking him questions as they went.

“He’s your brother?” Leia asked, coming up beside you and you nodded.

“Yeah, we had a falling out years ago and I was worried he’d still hold a grudge. I’m glad to see he hasn’t.” You answered honestly and Leia was silent for a moment before replying.

“I certainly see the resemblance between you too. Cherish having him back in your life. You never know when you’ll lose your family.” She said softly, and for just a moment, her facade cracked, and you could see the hurt and pain she still carried for losing her family and her people. It was a rare moment of vulnerability and you knew you were one of precious few Leia let see this side of herself. It made your heart swell to know she trusted you, even as it also ached, unable to understand the devastation of her loss.

Soon the moment passed and she was back to her normal self, her pain hidden behind a mild look of annoyance at being unable to regroup with the other parts of the rebellion. Silently Leia began to follow after the others, and you were quick to follow after her.

Things had gone horribly wrong so very quickly. Lando had led you all through the halls of his city towards a conference room. However, once the door opened, it revealed none other than Darth Vader waiting for you all. You watched as everyone, even Chewie, were placed into cuffs. When a stormtrooper came to put some on you Lando stepped between you two and looked towards Vader.

“Leave my sister out of this. The deal was just for Solo and his group. Not my sister.” He pleaded and Vader was silent for a few moments.

“She is part of Solo’s group. Capture her.” He ordered and the trooper moved Lando out of the way, placing cuffs onto you and marching you away to wait in a cell.

Now you stood next to Leia and Chewie somewhere in the lower levels of the city, watching as Han was pulled out of a pit, completely frozen in carbonite. You felt a cold fear run through you and you turned to glare towards your brother.

“How could you do this!” You shouted, all eyes turning towards you.

“She’s got a bounty on her head as well, I’m sure Jabba would like two new statues on his wall.” Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett cut in coldly, before Lando had a chance to respond. Next thing you knew you were standing above the carbonation chamber. You glanced towards Lando to see shock and horror on his face, his eyes glued to you.

You turned your gaze towards Leia and saw for just a brief moment the fear and panic in her eyes, as well as something else that made your heart soar. Chewie had a hand on the princess to make sure she didn’t move, but you knew Leia was too shocked to do anything. You felt the platform begin to lower and found yourself calm as you gazed at Leia, things becoming clear as you realised this could be the last time you see her.

“I love you.” You said plainly, smiling sadly at the princess who stole your heart before becoming trapped within carbonite.

All around you was a crushing darkness. It was inescapable as your mind flickered around, sometimes you relived old memories of times gone by.

Other Times you dreamed. And only one person ever occupied your dreams. Her face, her voice, everything about her filled the darkness with warmth and hope and love.

How much time had gone by, you didn’t know.

But eventually the darkness parted.

You gasped as you blindly fell into someone’s arms. Panic filled you just as much as air filled your lungs. You took gasping breaths as you tried to look around, but your vision was dark.

“The blindness is a temporary side effect of the carbonite.” A deep voice told you.

“Who are you?” You asked in a panicked tone. You remembered being frozen in the carbonite by Boba, but that was certainly not his voice. The sounds of a helmet being removed filled your ears.

“Someone who loves you.” Leia whispered softly, pulling you forward into a kiss you happily returned. Relaxing into her arms you knew that your dreams had finally come true.
