Five in a school setting would be weird as hell idk why people want that. he’s not a child. That would be the equivalent of his alternate self from s2 sitting in a classroom of 13 year olds. Its a very uncomfortable situation. That’s a 60 year old man. I truly do not understand the allure of it.

I have a few issues with Vanya/Viktor...

This small rant is gonna feature some spoiler from Season 3 Episode 2! So take this as a warning!!

I fully support the LGBTQ movement don't get me wrong!! But Vanya's transition cane out of of nowhere to me and i didn't find it necessary to change Vanya to Viktor. I get that Ellen Page is now Elliot Page but in my opinion real life things should be kept away from real life, after all it's why an actor acts the part of someone they are not. I feel like more exploration needed to be done, maybe slowly take it and by episode six Vanya now considers herself as male.

I don't like with how they scripted it by saying that something in Sissy made her change her ways. I might get hate for this!! But I think I'm gonna continue calling the character as Vanya, but still remember I fully supposed LGBTQ!! I just don't like things being forced into shows/movies.

So apparently there's this script for a tua season 1 episode that never got made. It's about their 23th birthday.

You guys.

A couple of things that stand out:

- That cross stitch Diego had in the boiler room that was so obviously a gift from Grace was a gift for his 23th birthday.

- Also, Diego went every week to visit his mom. I'm crying

- Klaus was in jail at this time, and he accidentally killed a guy in self defense.

- Allison is there but we just see her struggling not to use her powers on every day issues.

- Also apparently Patrick was her acting coach.

- She needed it.

- Luther was pathetic and I want to cry for him bc I love him so much but God was he dumb. Also the Accident happened the day after his birthday.

- Viktor had a girlfriend, who looked so sweet at first but then he found out she was cheating on him. On his birthday. Ouch.

- Five flirted with a woman named Delores in a 1940s (I think) bar, and it was so sweet and heartbreaking. He got a little kiss for dancing with her. It was great. Get it, old man.

- Five traveled to 2012 for the commission, saw Diego leave the academy, and couldn't stop himself from shouting his brother's name. I am HEARTBROKEN

- The Handler stopped him before Diego could see him, and also we have confirmation that the Handler was fucking creepy. She kissed Five after proclaiming he was hers. Five stands still and closes his eyes. I'm... feeling things. Mostly homicidal rage.

- Viktor visits Klaus in jail, which develops into the best conversation I've ever read.

- They talk about Viktor's book. Klaus is very supportive. Reading the whole script is worth it just to read that conversation JESUS CHRIST:

- Apparently, Grace announced one day at the dinner table that Diego had had his first wet dream.

- Klaus asks Viktor if he had added that lovely little anecdote into the book.

- Viktor responded with an: yeah, I did.

- Christ almighty I know understand why Diego was so fucking angry VIKTOR HARGREEVES YOU HAVE ZERO CHILL.

- Okay seriously overall that conversation is very sweet. Best klaus-viktor interaction. 10/10

- Also I find hilarious that Regginald tried to call them all separately but obviously no one picked up, so his next thought was: "well. Better start planning my own funeral".

- The quip Klaus made in the Void when he asked Reginald "couldn't you just have called?" Is a thousand times funnier knowing that the bastard DID call, but Klaus missed it bc he was in jail.

something i think should be talked about more often is five's transition back into society.

when the commission hired him, for how long do you think he had to hide away from people? how long did it take before he stopped jumping at every sign of life? until he stopped immediately reaching for his gun on instinct?

do you think anyone helped him through it? do you think he would have even let someone do that? do you think that he, for all his stubbornness, didn't let anyone support him? that he didn't tell anyone how being alone for essentially 45 years affected him?

do you think they quarantined him? that they kept him away from everyone else for everyones safety? or do you think that they tried, genuinely tried, to reach out to him? food for thought

It's been days and I don't really know. I've been thinking a lot lately and my indecisive brain still won't decide skskskks

For days, I've been thinking of drawing an OC for Umbrella Academy. But like I said, I'm having doubts since I saw some (in other fandoms) that it was considered "cringe" and be labled as something else yada yada...

Also, not only that, I've been contemplating writing a fanfic with the same series, seeing there's only a few, and I really want to, but here yet again, my freaking brain doubting my writing skils and think it wount be good, writing wise and plot wise. That it won't reach anywhere AKTSGMSGKSYKDYOD

FIVE IS GREAT, KLAUS IS GREAT, VIKTOR COMING OUT IS GREAT, MEANWHILE THE OTHER CHARACTERS ARE POORLY WRITTEN, THE PLOTS SUCK, THEY AREN'T CONSISTENT WITH ANY OF THE PREVIOUS CONTINUITY OR CANON OF THE SHOW AND NOTHING IN IT MAKES SENSE, SO MUCH SO THINKING ABOUT IT MAKES MY BRAIN HURT AND ALL OF IT IS VERY VERY RUSHED

I will agree season 3 did have it's good moments like Five being a great character and Klaus being great character, the two going on a road trip, Viktor coming out, and Reginald struggling to open the tin of butter cookies that I know for a fact we all struggle with opening on our own.

The series an adaption that very loosely followed the comics, much like how Big Hero Six did with it's comics, the series and the comics are in their own seperate world entirely. BUT, SINCE THE COMIC OF UA ENDED WHERE SEASON 3 BEGAN, AND SEASON THREE IS ABSOLUTELY FOUL COMPARED TO THE 2 OTHER AMAZING SEASONS BASED ON THE COMIC BOOK, SEASON 3 (ASIDE FROM VIKTOR COMING OUT) IS NON CANON TO ME

Gather the guys and gals and nonbinary pals we are pulling a Harry Potter fanbase and TAKING AWAY THIS FROM NETFLIX AND CLAIMING IT FOR OURSELVES, YES NETFLIX LOST UMBRELLA ACADEMY PRIVILEGES THEY ARE NOW OURS

Unless they redeem themselves with season 4 they aren't getting them back, I REFUSE

This show is amazing to me and the only canon things to me are season 1 and 2, and Viktor coming out, THAT'S IT.

So I was like binge watching TUA s2 and just noticed a few things that I totally oversaw and forgot about Klaus (and Dave).

Klaus is the first one to get to Dallas and stayed the longest in the 60’s - 3 years.

He travelled around, going to Mexico, India and then San Francisco.

Only when he couldn’t bear his cult anymore he decided to go back to Dallas to, as he tells Ben, “visit an old friend.”

Dave told him about the day he enlisted when they were on leave in Saigon.

So. Why did he wait?

Was he too scared to face him and so delayed his search until he couldn’t anymore?

Am I seeing too much into this?

Am I the only one who’s distraught over the fact that Klaus apparently grieved Dave for 3 years by himself, without anyone to talk to ( as Ben had no idea why Klaus wanted to come back to Dallas, and when he finds out why he defines Dave as Klaus’ “Vietnam fling”)?

Am I the only one sobbing over the fact that despite his huge love for Dave, Klaus only approaches him to save his life, knowing perfectly well that if Dave decided not to get enlisted, he wouldn’t go to war and so he’d never fall in love with Klaus?

He could have met him all over again in the 60’s, spent as much time as possible with him, make him change his mind from the start. But Klaus just thought about saving Dave’s life, at the cost of Dave’s love for Klaus.

And this puts me in front the huge question: which Dave will Klaus meet in s4 (if he ever will)? The one who fell in love with him in Vietnam or the one who despised him in Dallas? It could be anything, as it’s a new universe this time.

How can the writers make their story even more tragic each season?

And again, am I ever going to get over these two?

I might be talking completely non sense here, in that case sorry. I need a better rewatch of the series without watching only Klaus’ scenes.
