WEEWOO IM HERE FOR THE EVENT!! (also smth I noticed, you can't copy paste your moots @ from one post to another, bc they don't receive the notif;_; I checked my mentions for your @ and uh- nope)
ANYWAY "nights spent in" with Leona pls (or Ruggie or Kalim or Jack or Jamil 💀💀) I just want a lazy night with takeout and cuddles and looking at the city/town from the hotel or room balcony in peace but I also need this frigging degree-
Nights Spent In; Leona Kingscholar
Content; Fluff, so much fluff, gender-neutral reader, romance
Word Count; 650+
Author's Note; I came up with a whole meal for this and I want everything. All of the food mentioned is North Indian vegetarian food, except for Leona's. Best of luck with that degree, Soru!
As a reminder, do not put my work — or others for that matter — into AI as it steals. Link to Masterlist

You were lounging on the sofa on the balcony, a light breeze coming off the waves helping cut most of the heat from the day as night slowly painted the sky in a deep navy. Honestly, you could fall asleep right here, since you were warm and very comfy. Count on the royal family of the Sunset Savannah to spare no expense, even when it came to their balcony furniture for the smallest of their vacation homes.
Speaking of the Kingscholars, Leona had said that he was going out to grab you both dinner, which would have shocked anyone else, but he put in the work when it came to you. You were the exception. Of course, though, he expected something in return, which was usually either using you as his pillow or giving him a kiss… or several until he was satisfied with how fast he could make your heart flutter. Smug bastard…
“Hmm, I went through all the trouble of gettin’ you food and here you are nearly passed out,” he sighed, having sneaked up on you. But he sighed, putting the food down.
Leona leisurely walked over to you before promptly laying on top of you and resting his chin on your shoulder, trapping you. He let out a long sigh and bumped his head against yours.
Taking the message, you started scratching behind his ears and hummed. “I thought I had to pay you back after we ate,” you mused.
He chuffed, but his tail was slowly waving back and forth in a relaxed manner, he was only putting on a show. “You can pay me now and then,” he grumbled, looking up at you and raising a brow expectantly.
You knew that face, it was the face that he made when he wanted a kiss but didn’t want to say it. “You can get the rest of it, but after we eat-” your stomach made a low rumble underscoring your statement. “Before I decide to eat you instead,” you joked, and poked him in the ribs to prompt him to get off you.
Leona rolled his eyes, but yielded, he wanted his damn kisses sooner rather than later. Plus the last time he had decided to lay on you and prevent you from getting food, you had indeed bit him. Even though you didn’t really leave a mark, it still stung a bit, and he would rather not get teased by the others if they found out it had happened again.
“What did you get by the way,” you asked. Whatever it was smelled divine. Your stomach gurgled even louder, sounding more akin to some beast demanding food.
Leona chuckled a bit at the commotion, but brought the food out. “Went to a small place, family run and owned,” and he brought out several containers of food. He looked at his order, “Malai kofta, raita, paratha, mattar paneer-”
You saw one other container and raised a brow.
“Rogan josh,” he answered, swiping the container away from you.
You rolled your eyes at him, but you were more than happy at the food he had got, and knew that he left a hefty tip even though he would deny it. Not only had he made you, and your ravenous stomach’s, night, but also the restaurant owners’ as well.
Now content and full of food, the both of you laid in bed, your legs intertwined. “Thanks for getting dinner,” you hummed, feeling the sleepiness from earlier returning.
Leona turned his head to you, and rubbed circles on your hip, slowly. He was wearing the same expectant look again. “Aren’t you forgetting something?” But there was no smugness, Leona was full and just as tired as you, so he was more like a tired kitty looking for some love.
You shuffled over and placed a gentle kiss to his lips, and he let out a tired sigh, pupils dilating into round saucers. “I love you,” you placed another kiss on his lips before placing one on his scar and lingering there.
He bumped his forehead to yours, closing his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, I know… I love you too.”

i need people to understand something being flavorful does not equate to it being spicy. you can spicy food that is otherwise very bland. you cannot use chili peppers to cover up a lack of balance or depth in a dish. a fuck ton of chili peppers will not disguise the fact you didn't use enough salt.

I made samosas!!! I have never had them so I don't know what they should taste like, but these are delicious 😋 😍 it's a burst of flavor in every bite!!!! I used Indian spices that I've never experienced. They are delightful and sooooooo good. I'm gonna be making samosas as a regular part of my diet. They're vegetarian flavor bombs!! I love them!!! ❤️ I need to make more now! 🤗😍 what a great way to eat potatoes 🥔 😋 mmmmmmmm ❤️ 😋

waaaaah my sister is annoying as hell. she keeps wanting to eat non-local cuisine which ok we don't have to eat Malaysian food all the time but I'm not gonna have butter chicken and room service every two meals. anyway i find this cute place right in front of the hotel and the menu is all in Malay so we have to google stuff but for some reason the entire responsibility for the process befalls on me?? like sorry i hadn't realized you left your skills to google some simple shit back at home?? she told me "i don't get it you have to order for me" oh hell no you're going to order for yourself and take responsibility for yourself I'm not your mom. also when she doesn't like the food suddenly it's my fault like we tried to go to a night market but it was raining so i could only get bomboloni before we dipped bc she had the most rancid energy and i was getting a migraine and then when we got back out she was like blablabla it's not even good etc etc. i should've stuffed her in the grab car and stayed at temonyong night market to have my satay skewers under the rain idgaf! anyway... next time I'm either travelling with my close friends or completely alone. tired to trying to have a good experience in a country with people who put zero energy into making traveling fun

Ang Chong Yi: top Indian sweets suggestions to try
You simply cannot imagine what Indian cuisine feels like if you take out the desserts. Desserts in Indian cuisine are enjoyed after dinner. After a meal, everyone has a craving for sweets because sweets provide a proper conclusion to a substantial meal. No matter what, individuals will always have a strong taste for sweets. Even people have a preference for dining at restaurants that offer complementary desserts along with thalis or combination meals at Indian restaurants. If you love sweets in general, read Indulge Your Desires: Global Sweet Treats Explored by Ang Chong Yi to learn about the types of sweets consumed worldwide.
In this article, you can read about the top Indian sweets served in restaurants.
Tumblr media
Gulab Jamun:
Gulab Jamun is a dessert that originated in Iran. During the time when Muslim empires began to establish themselves in India, they brought this ball-shaped dish to Indians. This is a famous sweet in India and other countries of the world and is made with khoya. Khoya is often deep-fried and then covered in a sweet syrup with rose water. Some cooks experiment with adding additional flavors, such as coconut bits, saffron, and almonds. Ang Chong Yi recommends gulab jamuns on any day.
Jalebi:
This hoop-shaped sweet is so delicious that it is impossible to forget. This delicacy, which is thickened with sugar syrup, is made by deep-frying flour. Various variations of jalebi can be found throughout the world. Some claim to have discovered this in Turkey and Iran. Cookbooks from the fifteenth century even have the recipe for this dish. It indicates that for many ages past, people cherished this food. This delicacy is typically eaten with warm milk, though some people also enjoy it with meals or yogurt. Try this hoop-shaped sweet from any Indian restaurant, whatever you can.
Pista Barfi:
This sweet is often served at weddings, special events, and festivals. The sweet and beautiful pista burfi is often referred to as the Indian celebration dessert. This delicacy will reveal the actual nature of your taste buds because it is bursting with the delicious flavors of pistachios and coconut mixture. In fact, taste buds discover their true purpose for existing. Cardamom powder is added to this barfi, giving it an incredible, delicious, and luxurious flavor to top it all off.
Anjeer Barfi:
This sweet treat is known as anjeer barfi or sugar-free barfi. This sugar-free dessert, which is made with nuts and dried figs, is really delicious and ideal for people with diabetes. Desserts are, as people all know, inversely proportionate to those who have diabetes. The cooks pack this barfi full of nuts and figs to give it crunch and volume. An anjeer barfi is truly great and is different from other delicacies. Some refer to it as date nut ladoo, while others call it dry fruit ladoo. If you want it, stop by a restaurant or sweet shop to satisfy your cravings.
Final thoughts
You are now ready with what you want to try, so get a sample of these delicious sweets with your loved ones at sweet shops or restaurants worldwide. Also, read Exploring India’s Culinary Diversity: Ang Chong Yi’s Epic Food Expedition and try other out-of-the-world Indian foods.

As a mixed woman who's experienced both sides, representation's shouldn't feel forced. I'm tired of people overdoing it to seem inclusive. Not having a POC or 'disadvantaged' character doesn't make you a white supremacist. Just Keep it real.

Today circumstance intervened, and I was forced to arise at a slightly more reasonable hour because I'd extended my stay at my hotel (no Singapore flings or train rides to nowhere for me in the end), but with a separate online booking for a different room, and thus had to check out, leave my bag, and check back in later. I wish I had known earlier that the morning concierge was quite cute, would have made it easier to get out of bed before noon!

the way i balance staying true to my tumblrina nature while also having a job and bills and rent is that at work while cleaning a room ill think of something id like to post and then repeat it over and over in my head and refine it until it sounds right and then i either post it as soon as i get a second to Or i forget it bc i think of anew post to make. and they always get 0 notes but its ok
#not a lot to post abt in a retirement home. its like yep this room is exactly the same as it was last week and the week before as well.#2day we mughtve had a missing resident idk. i also fink i saw her like 2 seconds b4 she went missing so im sure they found her#i was just sitting in the lunch room Seething and Coping ( iwas 40 minutes behind and had just found out i had an extra room on top of that#btw i didnt get out until 4:30. my shift ends at 330 but my ride leaves at 4 and due to The crisis my boss said i can stay clocked in until#4 so that i can do liberty and get overtime et cetera. whats hard is sometimes when i say et cetera i want you to read it as et cetera but#other times i want you to read it as E.T. cetera. but what can you do.#anyways where was i. right i was in the lunchroom oh also my ride didnt leave without me bc marians my bestie. anyways. i was in the break#room idk why i keep calling it the lunchroom im not a highschooler. its a breakroom we just sometimes eat lunch in there when im not outsid#or hiding in Closet <3333333333#aaaanyways what was i talking abt. a good thing abt desktop tumblr is that i can read through all the tags so far#mobile its like a whole debacle basically. idr how but its like. whatever ider what i was talking about hold on#oh right. so i was in the break room and there was a nurse in there and on the walkie (they all have walkies. brenda also has one) i heard#someone go Sooo 245 wasnt in her room and she wasnt in the cafeteria :worried: im gonna look around 2nd but keep an eye out..#and then like a minute later that nurse got up and quickly left idk if she got a different message bc i was listening to starstruck by sorr#and trying to figure out how expensive (indian restaurant) is. the answer is very ughhh i just wanted butter chicken and garlic naan and#rice and that wouldve been THIRTY DOLLARSSS :sobbed: it is very very good food though#i caint get it anyway my check hasnt come in. 🤔 what about Indian food? Lentil curry or a veggie tikka masala is really good too (you could include chickpeas for an added protein boost!)
