I fucking hate it. the most boring stressing overwhelming way of learning #having the teacher talk for 1-2 hours straight and the student listening the whole time not saying anything is stupid #it's so fucking stupid they only want them to be mindless sheeps that only listen #because if you say anything 'no. you're wrong. I'm the teacher and I know better' fucking bullshit #this system is bullshit #and how am I supposed to study a whole school year of history. biology. math etc in less than 4 months?? #everybody was like #'oh it's just 4 months and you'll be out of school!' 'in 4 months you'll get the education!' 'you can finish this in just 4 months!' #I fucking can't! I can't do this in such short time! I can't. focus. on 6. subjects at the same time. my brain can't! #and it's so fucking depressing. I have 4 opportunities to finish this. the longest it could take me is 2 years #I could just focus on 1 or 2 things each time but if I fail too many times I won't have another opportunity like this ever again #and I won't be able to finish highschool education and I. just. can't. #I'm tired of giving my biggest effort and not being enough. So annoying how people will see systems with multiple psychiatric disorders as proof of malingering even though it's more common for people with OSDDID to have a lot of disorders than not. Research papers show people with DID have on average 5-6+ axis-I disorders alone, but people will still shit on systems with large amounts of diagnoses and be like "Omg they're collecting mental illnesses like pokemon cards what a faker!!" the thing is is that recently the system community, even the parts that dont use plural terminology, still show an alarming trend where newly recognized systems feel expected to label every single part of their system, keep track of every switch, use pluralkit all the time, and tag every post in a way that can be unhealthy and ultimately harmful. this is a disorder that is designed to be covert and unknown even to itself, yet by every single system blog under the sun listing every member with their role and pronouns and by the most popular youtubers making ten million meet my alter videos (for the enjoyment of a predominantly singlet audience as well), weve created a community that isnt actually... covert-friendly at all.

its okay to just like... exist. you dont need to know who is who all the time if its distressing. you dont need to log every switch when this is a set of disorders specifically about memory problems and dissociation. these may be common therapy tactics, and i would know because my own therapist has suggested them to me before, but that doesnt mean they will work for you because the very basis of being a system is that they were formed under the very specific traumas you went through as a child. and you especially dont need to share such private information on the internet. i know many systems (myself included) who have tried these methods and only ended up feeling more heavily dissociated, confused, distressed, and even have worse headaches as a result. we need to stop teaching people that microlabelling and monitoring every single part of your system is the only way to be a healthy system and start teaching people how to deal with their specific detrimental symptoms that interfere with their quality of life

Been thinking about Shang Qinghua, Yue Qingyuan, and Shen Jiu in the Great God Airplane AU again, and how Yue Qingyuan is going to handle these revelations.

And I think, unfortunately for everyone... he's going to be incredibly himself about it. Which is to say, he'll accept that things are as they are, assume that he's messed up beyond all forgiveness again (because he knew something was just too too different about Shen Qingqiu, but he never pursued it, he never dug deeper, and it turns out he's failed to come for Xiao Jiu again-), and continue to take it all on the chin with a smile while playing the part of the perfect sect leader.

You know, business as usual.

But this, my dear reader, is where Shang Qinghua finally, finally gets to be the one to spark change himself. Because after several months of watching his sect leader mope around the peaks, and with the benefit of his newly-recovered self-confidence, Shang Qinghua borrows one of Shen Qingqiu's old fans (one of the old old ones that Shen Yuan never really cared for but Shen Jiu was fond of), and sweeps his way into Yue Qingyuan's office.

It's not uncommon for one of his martial siblings to storm into his office and alert him to their presence by slamming their hands on his desk, but never, never, has the martial sibling doing so been Shang Qinghua, meaning that Yue Qingyuan's rote and good-natured response is shocked right out of his head as he looks up into the intense gaze of his meekest shidi.

"I," Shang Qinghua announces, with the knowledge of Airplane but the full fury of An Ding fury, "Have had! Enough! Of this goddamned tragedy! You know where he is! You know what he is! You know what you want to tell him! Go do it! You stupid idiot!!!"

Yue Qingyuan gapes (as is the only available response to a hamster that has decided it's tired of being nice and is going apeshit), "I- I doubt I could find-"

He gets smacked in the cheek with Shen Jiu's fan for his trouble. "Of course you can find him! You're willing to give up everything and everyone for him, you always have been, that's how I wrote you! All you need to do is tell him the things you wanted to say and never did!"

And Shang Qinghua grabs Yue Qingyuan's wrist, slaps Shen Jiu's fan into his palm hard enough that his fingers instinctively curl around it.

"The plot is done, the greater destiny of the world is finished, you have a chance to write your own story now, and if I can grow a spine then so can you! He's waiting for you at the end of the ninth road! Go!"

And there's really not much you can say when the creator himself storms into your office and tells you, in no uncertain terms, to go get your man, so Yue Qingyuan does the only thing he can do.

He goes.

Trans twitter discourse rant—

When the trans twitter discourse hit my TL, I was perfectly fine with people discussing how toxic masculinity can be something that negatively impacts trans men and can make them at times act out in either misogyny, internalized misogyny or transmisogny. But where I drew the line was when I started to see people insult trans men anatomy. Openly.

Trans men are not your open season target for shaming body parts and transphobia. You don’t get to make fun of T-voices. You don’t get to shame trans men for their t-dicks or their testosterone struggles. You don’t get to make fun of top surgery, the scars, the costs, etc. You should never make fun of trans mens body for any reason ever.

This is when I realized what was happening was much more insidious. I saw trans people making fun of trans mens bodies in ways that honestly broke my heart. It was the very things that have made me fear transition often and the very things that made me fear alienation.

Twitter tbh really lost the plot when it comes to transmisogyny — because what could have been a really useful discussion on how the expectations of passing trans men could turn into things that could hurt the trans community quickly turned into a friendly fire frenzy full of plainly transphobic rhetoric.

Making fun of trans mens anatomy, history or finding little ways to refer to them as “cis women” is transphobia. Full stop. And if you participate in doing it I want you to unpack that and realize you’re being no better than the conservatives who target them too.

If you wouldn’t say it to a little boy in a binder, there’s no reason you should be saying it on the internet either. Being cruel isn’t activism. You’re just an internet brain-rotted bully if you think that behavior is okay.
