it’s been an embarrassingly long time but I think I’m gonna pick up my first watch of Merlin again soon cause I got halfway through Season 2 before shit got busy irl.

but now I’m also desperately trying to remember the details of the AU plot I was telling to Emi that included, like, Arthur discovering Merlin’s magic at the end of either season 1 or season 2 (I can’t remember 💔), but Merlin doesn’t know he knows, and then he spends the whole next season agonising over whether he’d tell Uther or not/confront Merlin or not.

Heehee I do like Bull Demon King x Wukong uwu I like to think they used to be really close back when Wukong was still a warlord. But then the havoc in heaven ensues and when the demon kings (DBK included) were captured by Heaven, Sun Wukong, in the heat of the battle, brushes off the plight of his allies focusing only on his monkeys. I can see why DBK would become bitter and angry at Wukong (making some good angst and emotional conflict when they meet again). Wukong probably regrets his past actions and I really like the idea of him tryna make amends but DBK is just so full of vengeance at Wukong for abandoning him when he needed Wukong the most. I have yet to reach the part of the book where they face off tho huhu TwT

Thinking, as always, about Molly Cobb, but especially about how much I wish we had had more of her at NASA in season three from a disability rep perspective. As a disabled person, I thought her journey in season two was one of the better portrayals of someone reckoning with what an aquired disability means for them in the hellscape that is current disability rep in tv.

And then at the start of season three it was incredible to see her just doing her job excellently, with her adaptations, with the respect of her co-workers and, ultimately, still being exactly herself. She doesn't become a stereotype of a disabled person and god do I wish we had more of that.

#spin off show with margo ellen and molly being being a terrifying yet incredible NASA leadership trifecta between s2 and s3 when #I'm not visually impaired so I can't comment on that aspect of it but her emotional journey just rings so true to me #I think what makes it work is that it's not explicitly about becoming disabled but focussed on her not being able to go to space/fly anymor #it takes it from abstraction about disability and the pitfalls re disability stereotypes that usually come with that and makes it personal #I may have more coherent thoughts on this when it is not nearly midnight #also when I have finished my current s2 rewatch #anyway molly should have lived to become the first blind astronaut #hell she should have already been the first blind astronaut between s2 and s3 #damn now I'm going to have to write that fic aren't I #for all mankind #molly cobb #disability stuff #mine
