I love you when we haven’t talked in weeks and months I love you when I have 12 unread messages I love you when im not in the mood to talk. We’re still friends even when we spend time apart

#it’s like delayed parallel play to me.. or perhaps sending letters in the mail #when I wrote this it’s because I have this thing that is like. having too much of a good thing #like if I talk to someone and love them too much I burn out.. does that make sense?? is that a universal experience???#so sometimes when I have to spend time by myself I don’t stop loving my friends I think #especially because when I burn out I feel miserable for no reason and my brain comes up with ways to hate people #like oh they’re probably spending time with other ppl you’re disposable.. they probably forgot about you #one time I thought that if my friends were getting married they’d forget to invite me and it became a fear I’m trying to get over #but the answer I came up with is to keep reminding people I exist to stay present in their lives #even if it’s not as often as I can manage or would like. idk #yapping #feelings

Dear writers,

As a writer myself, I just want to say that you shouldn't forget that you write because you want to. I mean everyone's got their reasons, but we fic writers aren't really paid for what we do, so it's really just because we want to write. So write because you want to, and don't ever forget that, despite what you might think, there are people who enjoy what you do and look forward to every update.

Don't hang your value as a writer on other's approval. It's nice to get that recognition and see how many comments people leave, but where's the fun in it if you're writing just because you want people to see it? Like that's okay, that's valid, but I personally like to write because it's a fun way to express a silly idea I've had bouncing around in my head about characters I love. I just believe this because too often, I've gotten ridiculously discouraged over a piece of writing bc it wasn't right, or I thought people wouldn't like it or 500 other reasons.

My point is, if you want to write, then write, damnit! Even if it's just to get that idea living rent-free in your head out on a document, go for it. Write because you love it, and you enjoy what you do. Don't be discouraged, because really, there's no standards holding you to produce something perfect (except the standards you give yourself, I guess, which are good and helpful, and it's healthy to have standards. . .but don't let them restrict you, I say).

Some attempts at a design for Selena :3. The second image is inspired by the wedding in Haunted Castle, but I changed Simon’s outfit cause idk I just can’t picture him being comfortable in a suit.

The last two of these are way more headcanon-y lol. They’re under a cut mostly in case my headcanons and story ideas change d(^^ ). One of them was inspired by a Kikuo song I was listening to while drawing lol, the song “Let’s Go to Heaven”.

just finished interviewing bellini for one of my finals in my comedy class and i'm losing my mind over bellini going on a tangent about how if he were grading my comedy over the past year he would give me an A+. like i didn't ask him to say that and it wasn't related to any of the questions i asked but you better believe i'm leaving that in to be like see professor? BELLINI gave me an A+!!!

#it was very sweet lmao and a great conversation over all #last time i was in town i told bellini a one-liner i came up with about the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym having the exact qualifications #for a strong password (8 letters a number and a special character) and he said he's repeated it to several people #and it's always gotten a big laugh!! which is so cool!!! i'm not typically a ''joke'' writer my stuff is usually character-driven #so that's awesome that both bellini AND scott really loved that line!!#bellini in particular has been such a fan of my comedy since we first met (across multiple eras now)#like we met while i was working on my musical ''other girls'' and he was so excited to hear about it when i first mentioned it #and had me send him the recording as soon as i got it #and he's been so helpful in developing aubrey as a solo sketch character too #it's so cool having a professional comedian (especially one with such a meticulously good ear for comedy like bellini)#be as excited about my work as i am and be able to help me refine it into something even better #and especially as a queer comedian today who's finding it difficult to navigate this landscape of being ''bad representation''#bellini having been an openly gay comedy writer for almost double my lifetime is such a great resource to have!!#of course a lot of this is true for scott too (tho scott hasn't actually *seen* any of my comedy yet. he's just heard me tell jokes from it #but bellini is such a special mentor for me and i'm so happy we randomly connected over mouth congress over a year ago
