Slept late today and was quite worried because the terrors hadn't woken me up at the ass crack of dawn to demand their breakfast. Neither did they seem that enthused when I set their kibble out two hours later than usual. Moo and Méka just about managed to finish theirs, but Mau left his half-eaten, a true sign of the endtimes. He drank down half their water bowl and went to nap quietly instead of following me around lodging his usual morning list of strident and mysterious complaints that had accumulated in the night. Méka and Moo also meandered around looking lethargic and kind of...hungover.

We're in the middle of a heatwave with real feel temperatures of nearly 40°C (104 F). I've left their water bowls full and within reach and they never go in the sun, but I still spent an hour googling overheating symptoms in cats and why they would be thirstier than usual. According to the internet, they have intestinal parasites, kidney disease and multiple organ failure.

Came down to forage for a late breakfast, still debating whether to call the vet, to find the housekeeper in high dudgeon. Apparently the little demons had gotten into the pantry before she'd woken up. They had discovered our tom cat's half-full bucket of adult kibble, overturned it, and gorged themselves on the contents. There had only been a handful left by the time she finally found them. And they still had room for breakfast! Except for Mau, who obviously couldn't physically stomach any more food because he's the most gluttonous of the greedy-guts and probably polished off the lion's share by himself.

Small mercy they didn't throw up in the house. Probably did in the garden. They're presently curled up dozing like crocodiles after swallowing a wholeass water buffalo. Just try yowling for food today, assholes.

Also the self proclaimed selfie King, he's ALWAYS taking a selfie. Like, c'mon, he can't get ENOUGH of himself. He'll also have story time, talking about his time in the rebel forces on Mars and his work on earth too! And yes, there are thirst traps.👅💦

Now Brooklyn still had that sweet 1000 year sleep and had to wake up to new world, new tech, ect, ect. But y'know, once things got settled, I could DEF see him getting into street/urban photography. He doesn't seem like the type who NEEDS the spotlight on HIMSELF, but loves to capture the beauty around him. And when you can scale buildings like HE can, getting some crazy angled, perfect shots is a reward on its own! Vidoegraphy is a more recent passion of his and what sets off his content creating journey (and its also how he meets Streex and Vinnie in this AU 👀👀👀). He'll hold streams to show off his editing process and talk about his adjustment to modern times. Alot of people come for the art, stay for the voice tho--....he shoots the thirst traps for the other two when they start dating 🤫

......I have been thinking about this all day, it's SO FUN AAAUGH!

Triple Threat Time

The Terror Trio

Legend, Hyrule, and Wild are known as the Triple Threat and I love them.

Legend and Wild

These two are the most over looked.

And from the very beginning, we have a ton of examples of them just. Being. Near each other.

Like magnets

We can trace back to the moment these two really connected and spent more time with each other... which was of COURSE over girlfriend trauma

That's one of our first Legend being soft moments, showing true empathy. And Wild found that Legend could be understanding of his hurt- this is where they connected beyond just being closer than most

The main point in the plot with Legend and Wild is when they split off into groups

They went together, and this interaction shows that with these three, Legend is the common sense filter that keeps the other two from falling off of cliffs

Wild: I wanted to climb the mountain!

Leg: there is literally a cliff to fall off of right there

One of the things I love most about about Legend and Wild is they understand each other

We have multiple examples of them literally stating facts about the other in coversation.

"I know you love to tease" "you break everything" "you're not usually impressed"

They just state facts about each other because they get each other and understand

Wild and Hyrule

Ah yes. The two that have so many similarities in which they give the rest of the chain heart attacks

They both have the insecurity about knighthood. Hyrule because he's never felt adequate, and Wild feels like he only used to be.

They both hate maps (who needs them, right? *promptly gets lost*)

They do not care about injury at all. "I can walk off a broken leg for sure it'll be fine"

When left alone these two nearly die. Like every time. Love them.

The downfall duo

These two are from the same timeline, the downfall timeline, and there are certain connections coming from the same world. I think that their world made them have a similar fighting style because of how it's developed.

They are around each other mostly

And they always fight together

Here's my take on these two: Legends more confident because he's done so much. Hyrule's less confident because he didn't have such an insane number of adventures.

Legend's been through enough to know this is ganon's fault, not his. Hyrule's been through little enough (even with insanely hard adventures) that he has much more insecurity.

These two are quite possibly the most skilled in survival, because of no formal knight training. Instead of having perfect swordsmanship, they have tools (legend) and spells (hyrule) to fight in a world that was so much harder.

Which of course relates to wild who woke up in a cave, found a sword and winged it.

That's their relationships two on two

Legend and wild: power team, overlooked but so so close

Wild and Hyrule: do not let them near fire

Legend and Hyrule (downfall duo): They fight together and they are a pair

Combined these three make a Triple Threat

They also have dynamics with all three of them combined

Bestest moments of them:

When turned into a bunny, Legend mentioned both Hyrule and Wild as the ones he was worried about seeing him that way

In both scenes of Wild breaking swords Legend or Hyrule was there

When Wild was injured, they both somehow lost their senses and freaked out about him being dead (lol)

But with all of them they understand each other

Wild and Hyrule know Legend is grumpy and rude- they don't care, he's their brother. As the one who appreciates maps, he keeps both from getting even closer to dying

Hyrule: he feels accepted. These two make him feel like he has a place and is valuable to those with similarities.

Hyrule and Legend don't care about Wild's odd traits, they know that he breaks stuff and gets hurt often.

Proof

!!!! Looking at their scenes (in my screenshots above too), this is clear: all three of them have more examples than most of them being next to or near the others

Plus all the adventures and scenes of them- they fight and wander together- they are on this journey with each other

Because they understand each other, they spend time with each other. With nine people in the chain, when a few are around each other this much rather than the others, it makes it very clear how close they are, since they simply want to be near each other.

Here's my very favourite picture that perfectly sums up the three of them:

Wild: still can't put his hands on his hips properly

And these three combined... we've got constantly injured, set fire to everything, get lost a ton, snarky rudeness galore, plus swords and tools and magic, and that makes them a threat

(one thing I want to point out. you can see this by looking at the screenshots in this post. with the chain, much of figuring out who is close is simply who is near each other. looking at their interactions and the times they are hanging out as a group, Four is most often near and hanging out with these three rather than the others, so I think he is also very close to them and feels comfortable with them. do with that what you will.)

Animated for terror Au (One Piece): An angels advice should be discarded.

How many times have the two brothers sneaked into Crocodile's large home? Enough times to almost feel routine like, much to Luffys enjoyment to see both often.

Ace and Sabo come in trying to find a way to free their younger brother from Crocodile but get caught every time.

As much as the large toon crocodilian would like two to leave him he can't do anything violent or "mean" (as Luffy puts it) to them unless he is willing to suffer through the monkey's strong migraine inducing negative emotions invading their "telepathic bond".

So now we have Doflamingo suggesting to add them to their flock of criminals, there are flaws to the idea. Mainly due to without help this could end terribly for the boys.

The Terror Trio (Wild, Hyrule and Legend) are all the personifications of different stages of Life. Legend himself is Life, Wild is Death, and Hyrule is Rebirth. Their beastly forms reflect this, much to their collective embarrassment. The irony though that the timeline left to die but which was reborn time again is the one to have such heroes does not escape them (although that's mostly because Four pointed it out for them)

The horror movie vibes from your last Jade thought… shivers. Like, I know a lot of your work is unsettling, but this one really takes the cake in how much it bothered me (in a good way!). It’s totally in character for Floyd to forget and for Jade to play along, but my gosh, poor reader is gonna have trust issues for the rest of their life, haha.

I have to ask, though, what does Floyd do when he comes back and finds the apartment empty? Is he curious and ask Jade? Or does he shrug it off and assume that the reader knows that the Leeches are well taken care of and can pay for the lease?

I know you’ve talked about Floyd coming for reader’s rescue or at the very least going again Jade in the Sk! Jade series, but would he do the same for this recent thought?

I always love reading your yandere stuff and coming to the conclusion that as usual, Floyd is actually the most sane in thr group.

Aaaa I'm so happy to hear that it was unsettling to read! I think Jade works really well in eerie plots. I have so many concepts for him: snowed in at a cabin in the mountains with an attractive stranger (Jade), falling down a steep slope in the forest and breaking your arm or leg, so you have to rely on Jade to help you (but his intentions are not so nice), mafia bosses Jade (and Floyd) subtly harassing the poor maid at the maid café they like to visit in the daytime (imagine trying to draw a cute cat on his omurice and your hands are shaking because he's so scary. T_T), etc etc!! Many ideas for Mr. Jade. <3

Knowing Floyd, he probably wouldn't think anything's immediately wrong. Since the semester has ended and his study abroad has wrapped up, it makes sense that you might have moved out or left for the extended break. Floyd probably asks Jade if everything worked out with him and you, and Jade smiles serenely and tells him that the two of you got along swimmingly. Floyd's happy to hear that. It wouldn't be very fun if his brother couldn't enjoy his time at the apartment if he didn't get along with you. He probably shrugs it off and leaves it at that. No use dwelling on something that's no longer important. Floyd is too carefree sometimes. ;;;

I think it depends on how close you are with Floyd in this concept. On one hand, this is his brother, who he's known since birth, and you're just...you. He's only known you for a year, maybe two, or maybe even less. If Jade's happy with you, then Floyd doesn't want to ruin that. Besides, kidnappings don't really faze him. The family business is not exactly the sweetest or most legal thing in the world, so he's probably been exposed to lots of bad things and has just become desensitized. Knowing Jade, he's probably taking really good care of you, both with his own funds and their family's money (which is quite the large fortune). Floyd knows Jade will take good care of the things that are his, so it's not like you're living starved and naked (though knowing Jade, that could be a punishment. orz).

I also think Floyd's views of love and affection are more rooted in his upbringing. He doesn't love like humans do. He loves like an eel merman would because that's how he was raised. He knows more about the way of life in the ocean than he does humanity, so sometimes love is a little more aggressive under the sea. But that's just his normal! All merfolk are a little predatory; they're natural-born hunters, after all. And sometimes love is scarce in the sea. Some merfolk won't ever find love or reproduce, so it's important that they find someone they can cherish forever. Floyd won't take that away from Jade, but if he likes you as well he'll definitely want to share.

"Olive. Honey. Sweetheart," Pickles interrupted before she could go further, approaching her with weak knees to grip her shoulders in trembling hands, kneeling to her level, attempting to be strong for her, "...yer pregnant."

Dark eyes closed for a moment, and he could tell she was grinding her tongue ring on her teeth. Her gaze met his again, and she nodded, 'Yeah. I know."

Pickles released a shuddering, shaky breath, 'O-okee. So, uh," he hated to ask, because it didn't really matter, but it also did, "Do you, uh, yanno. Do yah know who's it is?"

Pursing her lips, she nodded — Pickles had been insatiable for weeks, and as such she had been largely tangled up with him, sleeping with the other guys less frequently.

"No one else has cum inside in weeks."

Blood turning to ice in his veins, Pickles nodded, nervously thumbing over her shoulders, "Okee. Okee. So, uh... what-" he licked his lips, closing his eyes, head spinning a bit as he attempted to process this whirlwind of circumstance. Again, he hated to ask, but it was a question that needed to happen, "what do yah wanna do?"

Her small, warm hand cupped his face, and Pickles leaned into the comforting touch.

Nodding, Pickles inhaled a few deep breaths, laying his head in her lap.

"What do you want to do?"

"It's yer body, babe. It's up to you if yah wanna go through with this."

Silence enveloped them for a few moments, his hand finding hers. Finally, she spoke, voice soft, "I- I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I don't know. And... I guess my answer not immediately being "No," like I thought it would, means..."

Pickles lifted his head, green eyes meeting dark, a flurry of mixed emotions in both their eyes.

"So... you wanna have a baby?"

"I- I think so..." Olive couldn't believe herself, couldn't believe the words she was saying. But as she gazed down at Pickles, she knew her answer, "Yeah. Yes. Do... do you?"

Swallowing, Pickles felt tears burn the backs of his eyes, throat tightening. Lips pressing to her knuckles in a kiss, he nodded, "Y-yeah."

A smile lit up her face, and Pickles melted, "Olive, I-"

A swift knock to the door frame interrupted, a shock of soft blonde hair popping through the threshold, and Pickles blanched.

Fuck.

This was not how he wanted to talk to Robin about this!

"Olive, I really need to talk to you. It's important," Dark eyes took in the scene before her, widening as they landed on the two sticks on the counter, "Fuck... you, too?"

Dark eyes mirrored hers, widening comically, shocked, "Me, too? So, then you're..."

"Yeah."

"Damn...” With a small, nervous giggle, Olive shook her head to clear her thoughts, then held out a hand, reaching for the blonde, “What're the odds?”

Robin hesitated for a moment, glancing down to Pickles, then back to Olive, but strode forward to hold her hand nonetheless, squeezing tightly as Olive ran her thumb over Robin's knuckles.

Robin knew the answer already, but had to be sure, so asked with bated breath, "Do you know who the father is?”

“Yeah…” Olive nodded down to the drummer still knelt before her, "Crazy, right? What about you?"

The atmosphere became tense, the air thick. Robin was quiet, then exhaled a held breath, murmuring a small fuck it. Squeezing Olive's hand, she nodded down to the drummer, as well.

When Olive froze, Robin feared she would be angry, somehow, despite Olive knowing Robin and Pickles were involved. But after a few tense moments of Robin and Pickles both squeezing the absolute life out of Olive's hands, she giggled.

And kept giggling.

Continuing on until it became full blown laughter, releasing their hands to cover her face as she snorted, Robin and Pickles staring at her in shock. Though, Pickles couldn't help but begin to laugh as well, Olive's infecting him, and soon he was doubled over with his head in her lap.

It took a few moments longer, but, when Olive leaned her head against Robin's stomach for support, weak with the laughter shaking her, and placed a soft hand on Robin's lower abdomen, giggling out "We're... we're both... he got us both... with a STRAP!" Robin broke, too, giggles overtaking her, snorting her laughter right along with Olive. Robin’s hand sought out the one over her womb, laying softly over Olive’s, a gentle warmth filling her chest as the three continued to laugh over the ridiculous situation. With a snort, Robin managed to speak between giggles,

“Pregnant by a fucking strap.”

Twilight and Legends relationship

...I love it

**in this post there's a lot of stuff I didn't notice before. I'm gonna resist the urge to write an essay on each point, and attempt to leave most of it up to the reader's interpretation**

Ok ok there's a ton of stuff here, starting with early character scenes

They're like the rest of the chain: They fight together and talk. Legend is close to Hyrule, and Twilight to Wild and Time.

We see some things Twilight and Legend have in common. One is their dislike of Hyrule knights, and-

As seen in the Gerudo clothes scene, both Twi and Leg like to mess around with pranks and have a lot of snark... wonder what would happen if they worked together

But there's something really important about how Twilight views Legend:

I wasn't aware this was before looking closely at their interactions but... Twilight didn't originally like Legend. This is shown a lot later on- in his facial expressions and words towards Legend. But from the start he didn't like him much, and here's why:

From the start, Jojo says this- Twilight judges Legend's actions as too harsh since his mannerisms come across as picking on someone. (Also Sky you are so so pure and cute 10/10 most huggable Link)

Legend is abrasive because he's had so many adventures- he's hardened to the point of being sharp. But it's wonderful that that character can still be so loved- his heart is good (hero duh)

Twilight has always been a big brother. It makes him well loved (rightly so). Jojo says he knows people can change- for good or bad. But because of his past Twilight doesn't like people picking on others "not even a little". It's complicated- we see it affect Twilight's attitude towards Legend a lot.

Anywho moving on to the plot

Wolfie, Aka twilight

Dark mirror stuff happens, and Legend finds out Twi's Wolfie- as we all know. But he can't just. Acknowledge it of course. He's gotta probe and tease, asking pointed questions (snark snark snark)

And in his attempts to be certain about the Wolf stuff, we were blessed with:

Animal forms:

Bunnies are soft, but Legends actions are not. He is guarded and sharp yet his form shows how sweet his true heart is

Wolves will love/protect their family yet are fierce, they have fangs and will fight. The root of who Twilight is is his kindness and family

Also (sarcastic) good job to Four and Wild for being SO SUBTLE with their emotions when Legend's asking questions hinting he knows Twi's secret

Legend: asking questions about the secret shhh

Four and Wild: Are having a freaking heart attack about it

Twilight: starts ranting about goats

...

Once Twilight gets over the shock of Legend like. Absorbing his crystal. He... well, looking at the harshness in his face and words, this is where Legend's attitude and his past with Colin being bullied biased him against Legend.

Look at his face in each panel through the progression- Twilight is more and more confused thinking legend is not who he thought he was...

And Twilight certainly sympathizes/relates to being hurt by losing someone he loved (in whatever form the relationship took)

And WHY is it always girlfriend trauma with these boys of COURSE it's girlfriend trauma that brings them together NOT SHARING A SPIRIT AND LOVE OF SWINGING GLORIFIED METAL NO THEY HAVE TO BOND OVER RELATIONSHIPS GONE WRONG

Twilight then thinks well that's a good reason to be pretty changed because from the start Jojo said he'll always understand people changing...

So they go, and make legend human again (with pink hair) and Legend is... surprised. And grateful...

Another few defining moments:

Legend's dialogue thanking him is the real start of them connecting like in Leg's original character description "the most reliable, you want him on your team"

And again Twi's face, Twilight is looking at Leg differently throughout this- contemplating to be honest. Considering...

And remember when I said these two both like to prank? Well the second they have a shared experience and get back to camp they immediately team up and start barraging Warriors with snark

Heaven help the chain when these two are on the same side

Legend has never been close to people outside of the few he's accepted as his (love him and hyrule's bond). After this? Twilight's one of his people. There's much more expression of caring and closeness towards Twilight- something we don't see with many.

And then, well, Twilight nearly dies. And Legend, he cares

Bunny boys puppy dog eyes are gonna kill me someday

Twilights pretty injured, he really doesn't see/remember all these moments showing how much Legend wants to help

And then we have this moment

Matters so so much

Look at Twi's face. Look at his surprise, realization, and acceptance- this is when he realizes- when he sees how much Legend cares for him

Twi woke from his deathbed for his family

and then in the next few updates it's really cute- he just is barely recovering and legend is just... beside him. Staying by his side

Animal forms later development:

Legend's bunny form is soft- but he is still not totally soft. Looking at Legends actions and facial expressions towards the others, while he's definitely closer to Twi now, he's still the snarky boy we know and love.

Twilight's Wolf form is loyal and loves family: Once he knows legends heart? Full on pack love.

And WHY were they so very intent on petting each other

Legend: I'm gonna go try and pet the wolf since I think he's my dude yes good plan

Twilight: I KNOW THIS IS WEIRD BUT IVE NEVER PET A RABBIT BEFORE LET ME TOUCH YOU

Here's a few random parallels of them to chew on because I love parallels (them snarky snarking each other, then some brother love parallels)

The thing with these two is their character bonding and whatever is not all sweet and lovey like some of the others. They have some REALLY sweet caring moments with each other. But snark plus snark equals double snark, meaning them together is the weirdest mix of kindness and teasing you've ever seen

And although at the beginning they were pretty harsh towards each other, it makes their getting closer and learning their similarities all the better.

Animated for Terror: "This feels familiar..."

This is pretty much the Crocodile's dynamic with his kids.

After losing the final bet the two remaining brothers have to adjust to their permanent new life living with Crocodile.

As much as the large scaly toon tried to add conditions in order to deter them from agreeing to the wager it really didn't stop both boys from leaping into the chance of taking Luffy back.

As harsh as some conditions are Crocodile is not one to go back on his word easily. So the conditions are as stated.

If both children lose the game then they'll share the same fate as Luffy in becoming toons.

Neither will have the same status, being set beneath most henchmen but above servants.

No special treatment, Luffy takes top priority.

Disruptive and destructive behavior will not be tolerated (but this is a world of chaotic looney toon logic so there is some leeway)

With all that being said these rules are constantly being broken by either the boys or Crocodile. With Ace still trying to beat the larger toon in any way he can and Sabo either helping or making things worse somehow.

Luffy is just happy with how things turned out.
