Y/n woke feeling excited to spend summer vacation with the Weasleys. Her parents were alright about it in fact they were looking forward to spending some quality time alone. Because of the war, they were forced to stay apart for nearly a decade.

“Good Morning Love” Sirius greeted you from the kitchen.

“Good morning pops” she wished him as he laid her breakfast in front of her and kissed her temple.

“Did you sleep well?”

“Yes father”

“Don’t call me that it makes me sound… old” He gasped

“You are old” she replied with a smirk

He sniffed again “take that back”

By now Remus was also up from all the commotion. He silently went up to Sirius and hugged him while he was busy arguing with Y/n about how he was not old.

“Don’t you guys have better things to do than bicker?” Remus groaned into Sirius’ neck

“It gives a kickstart to our morning” Sirius replied his lover handing his breakfast

“You need hobbies both of you”

“Good morning Papa” Y/n wished Remus with a bright smile

“Good morning pumpkin, have you packed everything?” He asked ever the concerned parent.

“Yes. And checked twice too like you always say.”

“Do you really have to go pumpkin? Our home is going to feel so empty without you” Sirius gave his best puppy eyes that always used to work in his favor.

“Pops not this again please” she got up to get her bags from her room. She loved spending time with her parents and cherished their moments together after the war she gained a new perspective on life. This is the reason she decided to spend her break at the Burrow.

“Has Harry reached there?” Sirius asked helping her with her luggage.

“Yeah everyone is there except for me”

“Yes stick with him those twins are always up to something mischievous” Sirius shivered remembering the last time twins were at their home and played a prank on Sirius.

“Hmm, but they feel a bit familiar to me” she smirked at her father who was trying to process her words.

Before she could leave someone came stumbling out of the fireplace. Remus got up to see it was George.

“Hey, Darling” George practically sprinted towards Y/n ignoring the glares of Sirius Black. He embraced her and twirled her around but was immediately interrupted by Sirius.

“Unhand her you dunderhead”

George carefully put y/n down and took her luggage “It was nice meeting you Mr. Black and Mr. Lupin, we will see you soon”

As soon as George held Y/n’s wrist Sirius pulled her back. “Not so fast young lad, Y/n why is this creature calling you darling.”

“Pops I told you he is my boyfriend”

Sirius gasped “Oh no he isn’t”

“Dad are you alright?”

“Oh godric I think I am going to have a heart attack”

Y/n looked up at Remus who was reading newspaper and drinking his morning tea “Oh, he will be fine, you guys carry on. We will see you soon hun”

“You better keep one arm distance with her” Sirius’ threat fell in empty ears as the couple had left.

George picked up Y/n’s luggage kissing her lips briefly before apparating to his humble abode.

“My own daughter how could she do this to me?”

Remus sighed “Exactly love she is your daughter she has a thing for trouble and George isn’t that bad”

“Not that bad! He dyed my hair purple, you of all people should know how much I love my hair” Sirius sassed.

“Oh I know” Remus retorted when suddenly noticed a solemn look on his lover’s face. Remus obviously loved Y/n but she had wrapped Sirius around her fingers ever since she was a little baby.

As a baby when she refused to sleep and wailed in Remus’s arms she would immediately fall asleep in Sirius' arm. With Y/n Remus found a new soft and more loving side of his lover

“Moony my little pumpkin has grown up. She has a boyfriend now.”

Remus sighed and hugged Sirius. Merlin knows he needed it.

“Padfoot she will be back before you know it.”

“Why did she have to date that weaselboy?”

“I think she takes after me for that matter. Falling for a troublemaker” Remus gives him a loving smile that always seems to comfort Sirius. They kissed as they slow danced in their home enjoying the peace the morning had brought.

"She will be fine love she has us" Remus tried to comfort him.

"Yeah, "Sirius smiled at him kissing his lips and scars Remus' chuckle echoing in the house.

Y/n and George were under his blanket sharing kisses and laughs.

“I can’t wait to marry you” George confessed with a lovesick smile.

“My father has barely accepted you as my boyfriend and you are talking about marriage” she pointed out even though she loved the idea that he presented her.

“It’s ok I will always be here. With you. It is fine if we never get married I still want to spend my life with you.”

“Ohh dear, George I think you love me”

He chuckled “You think?” He kissed her lips, his cold hands leaving goosebumps on her waist as he pins her on her bed. They are interrupted by tapping on the window. They both peep from the blanket to see a very aghast Sirius Black.

“This is not one arm distance Weasley!!!!”

“I think you should start running George”

“Good idea love.”

The Deal - Part 2

Summary: the plan is set into motion but somethings could hinder the plan.

James knew one thing the moment he went on the Hogwarts express, this year Lily was going to be his. He wasn’t sure how but somehow, he would try to find a way to convince her, he doesn’t know how it came to involve you.

The two of you had a few classes together through the years but he hadn’t really paid attention to you. He also knew you because of his parents and the long evenings spend at balls with other children. The two of you sometimes played together but you had always been a quiet child once you were with your parents, nearly a perfect girl. The years went by, and his parents stopped going to these balls with the rise of you-know-who.

Now he was seeing her for the first time again, she had lost that baby fat and had those sparkling eyes that had always been wide with curiosity when they played as children. She had a doubtful but determined look in her eyes and he couldn’t help but smile at her furrowed eyebrows.

“So, how are we doing this?”, he asks, slightly excited at the prospect of maybe having found the perfect way to get Lily to be his.

“Let’s not talk about it here and not right now I have a prefect meeting.”, James groans and the girl in front of him rolls her eyes.

“Alright, but five minutes Potter.”, James grins and brings her into an empty compartment that seems to have been left by students to join some of their friends.

“We can’t just start dating out of nowhere, that would seem strange.”, she says and James nods quickly, she is right they need to do it the right way if they want it to work.

“Well, you told me to come with you when we were with Remus and Lily so we could start with that. Say that we talked and rekindled our friendship from when we were children.”, he says with a large grin, and she looks at him with calculating eyes.

“That could work, we just need to keep seeing each other at Hogwarts and after a month or so we pretend to go on a date and launch the operation.”, she exclaims like she has found the solution to a problem and James can’t help but nod excitedly.

“We could sit next to each other in a class, what classes are you taking?”, he asks, and she starts to think.

“Charms, Transfiguration, Defense against the dark arts and Care of Magical Creatures.”, she lists off and James nods.

“I have most of those to, we just need to see if we have one of them together and then sit next to each other to make it work better.”, they both nod at his words and start to think a bit more.

“We’ll work out the details later for the moment we just need to make the others think that we are getting closer and then start the plan.”, she says and James nods quickly trying to think of how he will try and make this work, deep down he knows he will need the help of the Marauders.

“Let’s get this show on the road sugar plum.”, she shoots him a glare and James can’t help the cheeky smile that appears.

“Never call me that again, Jamie bear.”, James snorts at her words and she quickly starts laughing to, the two of them giggling like idiots before a knock can be heard on the door.

“Are you ready to go to the meeting or are you to busy flirting with Potter?”, Snape asks while saying his name with disgust. She looks at the Slytherin prefect before looking back at him and giving him a small smile.

“See you later James.”, he smiles back and sits back down as she leaves the compartment, feeling weird at hearing her call him by his name after all those years.

“Prongs! There you are, we have been searching everywhere!”, Sirius says while taking his arm and leading him back to their compartment while chatting away about his altercation with Bellatrix.

He tries to listen to Sirius, but he can’t help but think back to their plan and how they were going to do it. He was going to have to convince your parents and you would have to convince all of Hogwarts that the two of you are together, this was going to be a challenge.

“You did what?!”, Remus says rather loudly and a couple of first years turn to look at them while Sirius is trying not to fall from laughing after he told them about your plan.

“We made a deal, we fake date each other until after Christmas to make Lily jealous and so that her parents leave her alone.”, James says slightly annoyed to have to repeat himself.

“That is just crazy Prongs, so many things could go wrong.”, Remus says, and James prepares himself for a lecture from the prefect.

“I want to be there when she introduces you to her parents, they are going to go mad. A Gryffindor and a Potter.”, Sirius starts laughing again and James glares at his best friend before throwing a pillow at his face.

“Will you shut it.”, Sirius snorts and slowly stops laughing but a few giggles still leave his lips.

“As I was saying a lot of things could go wrong.”, Remus says seriously and James sighs before looking at his friends.

“I know, but we will be careful alright. Just let me try this and then if it doesn’t work at least, I know I did everything I could to try and get Lily.”, he says softly and a silence follows his words, even Sirius seems to have sobered up at his words.

“What do you mean?”, Peter asks quietly and James sighs, rubbing his eyes.

“I mean that I tried everything to prove to her that I’m not just a jerk or a selfish asshole, but she still seems set in her ideas. So, I try this and if it doesn’t work well then that is it.”, he whispers and before he knows it a pair of arms take him into Sirius’s arms.

“She doesn’t know what she is missing Jamie.”, he whispers and James hugs him back just as strongly before feeling the other two marauders join the embrace.

“We’ll help you, were in this together.”, he hears Remus whisper and the other nod their heads at his words.

“One for all.”, he whispers with a smile.

“All for one.”, the others whisper back, and James can’t help but feel better at their words.

“Well, well, well if it isn’t my favorite bunch of Hufflepuff’s!”, Sirius exclaims loudly in the corridor, and everyone turns around to see what is happening. Christie groans as she sees them, but Susan and you laugh at their arrival.

“Can’t we have one moment of peace?”, Christie whispers under her breath and Sirius laughs.

“Now where is the fun in that?!”, he says before starting to talk with them about a rumor that he heard running around.

James takes the opportunity to sit next to you in the alcove that is right in front of the door of the class and smiles down at you.

“So how was the first night back?”, he asks quietly, and you smile at him before sighing happily.

“Like coming home.”, James can relate to that feeling, he loves his parents with all his heart, but Hogwarts was just, home.

“What about you?”, you ask and James sighs dramatically.

“We started planning our future pranks and I’m trying to find a new Quidditch tactic.”, he says mysteriously while you look at him with curious eyes.

“Hopefully these pranks don’t involve Hufflepuff.”, you say with a teasing smile and James laughs softly.

“That is secret information unfortunately, can’t tell you.”, you nod seriously, and James can’t help but smile.

“Not even as your future girlfriend?”, you whisper back mischievously and James laughs at your words.

“In that case, maybe I can tell you.”, the two of them laugh for a bit and James feels at ease for once.

“So, tell me about that quidditch tactic.”, you say, and James can’t help but look at you surprised.

“You want to hear about that?”, he can’t help but blurt out.

“Why wouldn’t I? It’s something you like, right?”, you say like it’s the most logical thing in the world and James can’t help but think of how you would be a perfect girlfriend if he wasn’t so deeply in love with Lily.

He shakes the thoughts out of his head and starts telling you about the tactic, answering your questions and before they know it McGonagall is opening the door to get into class.

“Lily was watching you the whole time.”, Sirius whispers as they enter the classroom with a cheeky grin and James can’t help but smile, his plan is working, and it isn’t even the whole plan.

“You will receive places for the rest of the year, don’t expect to be next to your friends you will be next to someone of another house.”, most of the class groans but James smiles at the professor’s words.

“Sirius Black and Susan Collin.”, Sirius shrugs his shoulders and goes to the desk, but James sees a light blush on Susan’s cheeks at the professor’s words and he tells himself to ask you later.

“James Potter and Y/N Y/L/N.”, he smiles at her words and goes to the desk, finding you there with a small smile.

“Hello there partner.”, he says happily and enjoys the sight of your smile.

“Lily Evans and Amos Diggory.”, James can’t help but look back towards the front of the class at the professor’s words.

“James is everything alright?”, he hears you whisper, and James shakes his head a bit.

“What is it.”, he doesn’t know how to answer your question, he just feels jealous and scared at the sight of Lily’s partner.

“Amos has feelings for Lily, he will probably try to get with her.”, he hears Sirius whisper, and he tries to look back towards you as you start talking with Sirius about the situation while Susan is talking to someone else. But he can’t stop looking at Amos flirting with Lily and feeling like he is losing her already.

“Hey, we are going to get her with you. Remember the plan.”, he hears you whisper, and he suddenly wakes up from his stupor to look at you with worried eyes.

“You think it’s going to work?”, he asks in a small voice while trying to ignore your worried eyes.

“There is only one way to know.”, you say and James nods at your words before looking back towards Lily feeling determined.

“Let’s do this.”

Anyone who knows me at this point has realized that horny smut and clever humor are the way to conquer my heart. And Sam delivers both - and also plots! Character development! Barty was innocent and his dad arrested him AU snippets

AU where Voldemort failed and creatures were stripped of rights. Convo between Barty & Remus-

B- When I was 19, my dad sent me to Azkaban. Rm- *blinks* B- And, look, it's not like your situation, I was a little shit, trying to make his life miserable. Got caught up with the wrong people. B- I didn't actually do anything. Was in the wrong place. Got arrested. B- *dark* The trial was a farce. He wouldn't let me even fucking talk. Mum just… sat there crying. B- So. Yeh. Three years in Azkaban. Rm- Fuck. B- Heh. Yeah. Rosie waited for me. I couldn't fucking believe it - literally, dementors took so much, when I saw him after I got out, thought I was having a psychotic break. B- He patched me up, held me together, helped me… helped me get my name cleared. Dad didn't even fucking look at me when it was proven he'd gotten it wrong. B- So, like, I won't say I know what you're going through. I fuckin’ don't. But I do know about shitty dads who abuse a Ministry position to fuck you over.

muggle AU-

A few years after Sirius had run away, Barty had properly fallen in with a bad crowd, got dragged along on something when he was 19 and could be tried as an adult. His father tried to throw him in jail without a proper trial. By sheer miracle, some lawyer had a chip on his shoulder and offered to represent Barty pro bono. He got off with parole, but the public trial had wrecked his prospects and his mental health and it had taken a few years for him to pull himself together. Reggie hadn't been able to support him nearly as well as he should have, stuck under his own parents’ thumb, and Barty still had a lot of emotional scars. It pissed Reggie off when his friend got dismissed so casually, which most people did. One look at his piercings and spiked collar and people wrote him off.

No voldemort, magical AU, not arrested but publicly disowned so similar:

Well- Regulus and Evan were wealthy. Barty had been summarily disowned by his father. Not “blasted off some tapestry and given a trust fund by his wealthy uncle” the way Sirius had been, but “Crouch Sr dragged his son to court and ensured Barty would never see a single knut or be able to use his connection with Crouch Sr in any way”. It was unnecessary. A strongly written will would have sufficed in barring Barty from an inheritance, but apparently Crouch Sr felt the need to make a public display of his then-teenage son. Thankfully it was a short process because Barty didn't put up a fight. One session with the Wizengamot. The newspapers got bored fairly quickly when Barty wouldn't give them the response they wanted. There were about three months where Remus and Regulus practically lived at Evan and Barty’s to make sure he was okay. Which might have seemed unusual, except it was something the Marauders did for each other as well.

Muggle AU - reversal, Barty was guilty but his dad got it to an insanity plea. Mostly loose notes. I love them.

[Reg's roommate is barty, who got in a vicious fight at Eton and his dad managed to plead insanity and get him an inpatient stay instead of a criminal record Evan had been an outpatient, never hit the level of needing to be kept locked up in the hospital for safety. Barty had snuck into one of his group therapy sessions and the two had just… latched onto each other. Evan had opened his mouth and Barty became obsessed and somehow they ended up rutting together in a disabled bathroom afterwards. Someone else could tell the story in a way that was romantic, some nonsense about love at first sight and soulmates, but neither of them cared for romance.

The Nommo [Dogon mythology; African/Malian mythology]

In 1948, French anthropologist Marcel Griaule published his book Dieu D’eau: Entretiens avec Ogotemmêli (‘god of water: conversations with Ogotemmêli’) on the culture and mythology of the Dogon people in Mali. This book detailed the Dogon creation myth in which Amma, the creator god, built the Earth out of clay. He then had sex with the Earth (the sexual organ of the Earth was an ants’ nest), which bore his offspring: the two Nommo twins. The Nommo helped their father to create humanity. It was also said that the Nommo built an elaborate stairway to descend to Earth from the heavens.

In 1965, Griaule published another work on the matter: Le Renard Pâle (‘the pale fox’). This book presented a completely different Dogon creation myth, in which the creator god Amma hatched the world from a primordial egg. The Nommo feature in this version as well, being ancient water spirits created in heaven. One of the Nommos, Ogo, rebelled against the others and managed to escape from heaven, starting the universe in the process. This was the beginning of space and time, and his placenta became the Earth. As punishment, Amma transformed Ogo into a pale fox. The fox then attempted to have sex with the Earth, spawning strange bush spirits.

Though the Earth was created, it was tainted and corrupted by Ogo’s acts. And so another Nommo, Ogo’s twin, sacrificed themselves to purify the planet. In the process, he created the stars Sirius A and Sirius B. This detail spawned a lot of discourse throughout the years, since Sirius B is not visible with the naked eye, so how could the Dogon have known about it?

But it gets weirder: the Nommo, the primordial beings associated with the Sirius system, built an ark on which they sent the first 8 humans to Earth, where they would populate the world and became the ancestors of humanity. Many ‘ancient alien’ theorists (such as Erich von Däniken) viewed this as proof that Africa was visited by beings from the Sirius star system in the distant past. This also renewed public interest in the Dogon people and kickstarted local tourism.

But there were problems. For one thing, why are there two different sets of Dogon mythology and creation myths? According to anthropologist Germaine Dieterlen, this is because there are several differing levels of initiation into Dogon religion. A bigger discrepancy is presented by the Dogon themselves: when questioned by later anthropologists, the two creation myths mentioned earlier were unknown to most Dogon people. In addition, the Dogon claimed that it was Griaule who told them about Sirius B and that they had no knowledge about that star before the arrival of the French anthropologist. Therefore, it seems likely that the story about ancient creatures who came from the heavens in an arc were at least partly made up by Griaule or originated from a misinterpretation. The Nommo, however, do feature in Dogon mythology as water spirits. Though they are not as central to the native Dogon religion as was previously believed, the Nommo are widely feared: in traditional Dogon beliefs, each river, lake or other significant body of water is home to either one Nommo spirit or a pair (one male and one female Nommo). They reside in the depths and occasionally grab people who venture too close to the water, pulling them under and drowning them. People also make offerings to the Nommo to placate them, so that they stop taking people.

hi thank u!! responding 2 this a bit late lol sorry but. i don't have any like actually-written scenes that i cut bc normally if i'm writing a scene & realize it isn't gonna work i stop pretty quickly & usually just delete the few sentences etc...also usually i've got everything shifting around in my head like a puzzle til it clicks before i write so. generally speaking i just am not cutting things after writing them...however! i did have one specific scene that i was planning to write in atwmd which didn't end up working out (got 2 the scene & felt like i was hitting a mental wall bc i couldn't make it fit into the plot) so i can like. share that i suppose lol i'll put it under a cut:

so originally around like...ch 17 i think? like after they destroy the diadem when they're trying 2 figure out what the next horcrux is & destroy it, i really wanted 2 write like. a scene where, for some reason, sirius has 2 go undercover pretending 2 be a werewolf & in doing so encounters like a well-meaning rich guy who essentially parallels what he was like w remus in the early parts of the fic 2 like...have this moment of growth where sirius realizes what that dynamic was like for remus & why it was fucked up etc. so i was like uhhh how can that happen...maybe there can be some fun fancy party where rich people bring creatures as escorts & sirius wears a glamour or takes polyjuice from a werewolf's hair...also love in werewolf fics when like. character a wears character b's clothes 2 smell like them & thought that would be fun lmao so i was like what if sirius also wears remus's shirt or something so he smells more like a werewolf...the sexual tension of it all...

so anyway i was like i need this party-undercover-fake-werewolf scene 2 somehow connect from where the fic is at (just destroyed diadem) to the lestrange crypt horcrux part, bc i already knew what i wanted 2 do w the crypt etc. so i was like maybe somehow this party is how they get to rabastan lestrange?? but it didn't end up working out bc it just felt too similar to the whole original mission remus was on w malfoy so it just felt repetitive, and i couldn't figure out how 2 make it logically connect to the crypt in a way that felt believable...and then i had the idea of having rabastan hunt magical creatures & i was like this fits so much better so i went with that instead! rip sirius undercover-fake-werewolf scene...4ever in my heart <3

BLVN Review: Psychic Eclipse (C-Garden NEXT-B)

I finally decided to play this VN after seeing a lot of information about it in Cool-B magazine! It was released in 2021, by a BL visual novel company called C-Garden NEXT-B. It's their first visual novel, but the scenario writer and artist have both worked on some BLVN related projects in the past. I played the PC version, but it also has a Nintendo Switch port now.

The game takes place in the near future, in a world in which humans developed psychic abilities. It was believed that these new psychic abilities would lead humanity to a brighter future, however, one incident changed everything. "On that fateful day, the sky was stolen from us".

The protagonist of this story is Kei, a young man who lives together with his childhood friend Subaru. In this game, a person's psychic ability is ranked on a scale from 1 to 6, and Kei has a level 2 ability which is considered quite weak. His ability allows him to sometimes predict an event in the near future, but since he never knows if his visions will really come true, it sometimes causes more bad than good. After a certain incident, all humans started living in domes, controlled by an AI called Polaris. Six years ago, people suddenly started transforming into creatures called "eclipses", who are known for their aggressive nature. Once a person turns into an eclipse, it seems like they completely lose their humanity and it is unknown how the disease is transferred. Some theorize that it is contageous.

This game has three main routes and a fourth extra route, I recommend playing Subaru's route first because I think it doesn't go too deep into some of the plot elements yet. I played Licht's route first which kind of spoiled the other two routes, so I think it's better to pick Subaru or Sirius first. After playing all three of them, you unlock a fourth route, which focuses on some of the side characters (unfortunately no Mikage route but they pair him up with a side character who appears later).

Subaru is Kei's childhood friend, both of them lost their parents when they were younger and they currently live together because they don't really know anyone else. Subaru has this ability to control blue flames, though he rarely uses it because those living within the domes are told to not use their psychic abilities. He seems to know a lot about technology and Kei gets a bit suspicious why Subaru seems to be hiding certain things from him...

The second character who has his own route is Sirius, an AI who Subaru created. He has a cheerful personality, a male idol who enjoys singing. He talks to Kei through Kei's phone, but he often also shows up as a hologram. This made me wonder how the romance in Sirius's route would even develop since Kei can't touch him, but I kinda liked having a non-human love interest. I've played a lot of visual novels but the only AI/robot character I can remember right now is Clear (from DRAMAtical Murder), so I would love to see more of that.

Kei's first encounter with the other two characters, Licht and Mikage, happens one day after Kei finds a dead body of an eclipse at work. Licht immediately uses his psychic ability to stop him from moving (he's the only person alive who has a level psychic 6 ability, who can use psychokinesis) and later Mikage also threatens him, so Kei doesn't have the best first impression of these two. In his route, Licht actually turns out to be pretty nice, he just has no idea how to interact with people normally because he only talks to Mikage and his own father... One thing I should mention is that psychic abilities do come with certain side effects, they take a huge toll on the body of the user and if they use it too often, it can lead to permanent injury and eventually death, which is also a big theme in this route.

Each character has three kinds of endings: good, normal and dark. The normal ending is the one you'll most likely get first, though don't be fooled by the name because some dark stuff usually happens to the characters in these endings too...! The dark end is basically a mad end, but it's a bit more difficult to get. Luckily each route only has 3 different choices, so I figured it out with a bit of trial and error.

This game is technically "all-ages" but they do occasionally mention explicit topics and some...stuff happens during the human experiments, so I guess "all-ages" just means they won't show any explicit CGs. I think a 17/18+ rating would be better, as some of the endings also get really dark and some CGs can be a bit gorey (limb amputation, decapitation, etc.) I think it doesn't look too bad in this artstyle but it's probably good to be aware of it before playing!

This is the company's first game, so there's a couple of things that could be improved. For example, all side character models are silhouettes, which makes it hard getting attached to some of them, this includes the enemy robots/eclipses. The side characters & extra scenarios you unlock later also aren't voiced. I don't know if I misunderstood some of the endings, but I sometimes felt like all of the problems get solved a bit too easily and suddenly everyone's happy again (well except the characters who died...) but they might explain more of this in the fandisc, which they are currently working on. There's a lot of things about this game I did like though, the game was much darker than I expected and I really enjoyed seeing what would happen in the "normal" and dark endings. I also quite like the artstyle, and the game's OST is really good! Apparently the guy who composed the music used to work for Capcom and has created music for the Monster Hunter games in the past.

They recently tweeted that they would postpone the release date of the fandisc to 2024 because of the large number of scenarios they were adding to it. It seems like they're going to focus a bit more on two side characters I didn't mention before, who only appear in the final route: Licht's brother Kanade and Mikage's acquaintance Kousaka. I might check out the fandisc when they release it!

Part One - When the stars weep for you

I recently watched the third Harry Potter in preparation for spooky season, and I'd forgotten how much I love this movie and Remus Lupin <3 So I thought I'd write a cheeky wee fanfic split into two or three parts with Remus and an OC. Sorry Tonks fans, I do love her and Remus individually, but I never really fell for their relationship.

Harry followed Professor Lupin into his office after being caught wandering the school corridors alone while everyone was out visiting Hogsmeade. He tried to ignore the persistent thoughts of Ron and Hermione having fun at Zonko’s Joke Shop or eating their weight worth of treats at Honeydukes without him with limited success and accepted the weight of disappointment drawing him down.

In the corner stood a very large tank of water. A sickly, green creature with sharp little horns, had its face pressed against the glass, pulling faces and flexing its long, spindly fingers. A bookshelf groaning with the weight of tattered tomes stood guard to the left of a large oak desk painted with coffee stains. Piles of scrolls containing essays ready to be marked were scattered on top of the desk and as Harry scanned the names for his, he couldn’t help but notice a small, silver-framed picture of a young woman peeking out of the paper hills. The woman smiled out at him, clutching two potted plants in her arms. He recognised one of them and shuddered at the memory of the screaming mandrake he repotted during his first year at Hogwarts.

Lupin poured sweet-scented, steaming tea for them both into chipped mugs while gently teasing Harry about his death omen the Divination teacher had found within the tea leaves of Harry’s cup, causing his classmates to tiptoe around him since then and talk in hushed tones as if they were attending his funeral. They sipped their tea and Harry seized the opportunity to ask Lupin about the Boggart incident during their first lesson. He was relieved to find that the professor didn’t think him weak but instead had been concerned about Voldemort appearing in front of the class, terrifying all the students.

Lupin took a long drink and placed the mug down gently. Harry noticed his eyes flicker to the picture before focusing back on him. He didn’t wear a wedding ring and Harry had never seen him leave the castle grounds. “Professor, who is that woman?” He asked and immediately regretted opening his mouth as Lupin’s brows furrowed and his pallor grew pale, leaving him looking more sickly than usual.

“Oh,” he said and cleared his throat. “She was… is… someone dear to me.” He waved his hand, dismissing the topic and was saved by a knock at the door. “Come in,” he called.

The door opened and Snape entered, carrying a goblet which was smoking faintly. He sneered at Harry when he spotted him and pointedly jerked his head towards the door. Harry drained his mug and excused himself, eyeing the goblet suspiciously.

After both Snape and Harry had left, Lupin drank a mouthful of the foul potion and grimaced as he made his way over to the large, arched window overlooking the viaduct. He smiled sadly as he saw his younger self, the same age as Harry now, standing on that bridge, waiting in the cold for the woman in the picture. His fingers traced a chain hidden deep inside his collar, threaded through a simple gold band he could still feel the ghost of on his left ring finger.

December 1973

Remus crawled up the steep, snowy slope leading to the base of the Whomping Willow feeling his muscles screaming with each nauseating movement and his teeth chattering from the cold, winter breeze. Last night there had been a full moon and, as usual, that meant he’d had to hide in the Shrieking Shack, far away from everyone. He had awoken alone despite Sirius’ promises to arrive in the early hours to help him sneak back into the castle and, after waiting one very long hour, the loud growling in his stomach made his decision to leave the dilapidated building by himself. Dizzy with exhaustion, he clambered out of the hole, lifting one heavy limb at a time, completely forgetting the vicious tree and its nasty habit of trying to squash people with its thick, club-like branches. With that threat now in mind, Remus hastily fumbled for his wand in his pocket to immobilise the tree and froze, realising a strange stillness in the air around him. He couldn’t hear the usual creaking of wood as the tree sensed his presence, in fact, the branches were suspended in the air, moving slowly as if they were wading through treacle, droplets of snow dripping onto the frosted ground. A figure dressed in Hufflepuff robes was standing a foot away from him, studying the wafting branches, wand in hand. She noticed Remus and yelped, jumping back, slipping on ice and hitting the ground hard.

“Are you okay?” Remus asked, rushing over to the groaning girl and holding out a gloved hand. She took it and her eyes widened as she observed his gaunt face and dark circles under his tired eyes.

“Are you okay?” She asked. “Do you need to go to the hospital wing?”

Remus shook his head, the thought of bringing attention to his condition made him feel queasy. “No, no, I’m fine.” She frowned, looking very unconvinced. “Honestly, I just didn’t sleep well. Nothing breakfast and a nap can’t fix.” He tried a smile and was relieved when she returned it.

“I’m Aster Evans,” she announced, after a long pause. “I think we have Potions class together.”

“Remus Lupin. And yes, you shared your book with my friend Sirius last week when he forgot his. Saved us all from yet another Slughorn speech about organisation.” Remus found his grin was becoming more natural and his tension eased away slowly. She didn’t seem suspicious or acted as if she knew his secret at all. He was just about to suggest they go back to the castle together when a loud crack sent a flock of birds fleeing into the sky and the girl lunged towards him, grabbing his waist and throwing him to the ground just as a gnarled branch smashed into the snow where he’d been standing. They scrambled to their feet and rushed to a safe distance. They caught each other’s eye, him pale as a corpse with robes now soaking wet and freezing, her with ice dusting her hair that the tree had shaken off in its attack and a jagged tear down her tights, and burst into laughter.

“That was a close one!” Remus chuckled once they’d started to calm down.

“It’s amazing it’s here unguarded,” Aster said, pointing towards the base of the tree. “There’s a knot that calms it when touched, but getting there isn’t easy.”

“How did you figure that out?” asked Remus, forcing his voice steady. Had she found the secret passage?

“Well… It’s been here for two years and we still haven’t covered it in classes and I can’t find it in my Herbology books. I just wanted to see it up close,” she replied, glancing at him strangely. “Weren’t you here for the same reason?”

Remus opened his mouth, excuses reeling through his mind. He couldn’t act enthusiastic about the Willow now, nor could he pretend he was just casually passing by so close to the dangerous tree.

“Remus!”

Relief cascaded through his body when he heard a familiar voice calling out nearby. Sirius Black waved his hands in greeting, his thick, black hair windswept from racing down the hill. The exertion and cold had left his cheeks flushed, highlighting his already handsome features. “I had wondered where you’d run off to,” he said to Remus, acting as if they had separated for only a moment this morning and casting a brief questioning look towards the Hufflepuff smiling politely beside him.

Remus introduced them and they made small talk as the sun slowly crept fully over the horizon, warming them, and the bustle of waking students grew louder over the peaceful grounds. They wandered up the path and into the Great Hall where the long tables were dressed for breakfast and overloaded with seasoned sausages, eggs made in a variety of different ways, jars of cereal in between large pitchers of fresh milk and any other breakfast foods imaginable. Remus clutched his stomach as it rumbled loudly and was surprised to find himself rather embarrassed about it. Sirius slapped him on the back, said his farewell, and hurried over to join James, who was helping himself to a tall stack of buttered toast while Peter begged him to help with his Charms homework.

“It was nice to meet you properly, Remus,” said Aster. “I’ll see you tomorrow in Potions class.”

“See you tomorrow,” Remus replied and watched as she went to sit with her friends at the golden-decorated table.

on another note so many people i know say space gives them existential dread but to me is like looking at a beautiful garden with different flora!!!

like look at Stephan’s quintet , the ring system of J1407b, the amount of interesting exo planets we have found, worlds we didnt think were possible!

like VHS 1256 b that seems to be a super jupiter? with the largest number of molecules methane, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and water on it!!! an outer planet that is not even in the goldilocks zone!!

idk seeing space makes me feel like its worth to live life it in all its glory and once we die, we’ll return to the stars and sing among them lol

i actually went searching for this bc you ask put the biggest smile on my face

an exoplanet, a mega earth called HD 189733b was confirmed to have methine, steam, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide WHICH IS SO IMPORTANT BC IT COULD MEAN LIFE!! one of the most fascinating things ever is that-- yes, those gases are on there, but you know where steam comes from? water. and you know what could produce the other gasses? life!! living creatures!! possible intelligence. only issue is that HD 189733b is 64 light years away, but it's not terribly far considering some of the other earth-like or mega earth's out there.

also speaking of math-- Neptune was discovered in 1846 (WHICH IS STILL WILD TO ME THAT IT WAS THAT LONG AGO) through mathematical calculations of its predicted position through the observed differences in the orbit pattern of Uranus. We literally found a fucking planet through MATH. THATS SO FUCKING COOL.

and on top of that, there might actually be a ninth local planet (sorry pluto :() based on a disturbance in other orbital patterns of other planets. basically, there's some kinda hole in the gravitational pulls of what i think was uranus and saturn; that it wouldn't make sense for those disturbances to happen unless a ninth planet was acting in the solar system!!

i also actually mentioned this in a comment but someone asked me for a cool space fact and I said: "everything sings, everything has meaning. from the smallest proton to Sirius B to the pillars of creation, nothing exists for no reason, everything is connected. perhaps its not my coolest, as i think that would take up far more space than the comment section will allow me, but its quite a hopeful one :)"

and i mean this with my heart; that's exactly what the hell the universe is; it's just one giant crescendo of harmonies smashing into each other and blasting into different directions, all being pulled by one great attractor-- that every little speck in the universe has meaning and value as we are all created by the very same stardust that the other planets are. if that isn't magical i don't know what is

So the basic premise of this plot bunny is that, when Sirius falls on the Veil in the battle of the ministry, Harry follows him, only the Veil is not a death device but a portal wich brings them to the universe of the Wrong Boy Who lived.

Now, as is a classical of this trope you must chose one of the follow:

A. James is evil and gave Lily a love potion to make her fall for him as well as casting the Imperious on her so that she allowed him to be as violent and neglectfull as he wishes to be with Harry.

B. Same as above but with Lily being the one to give James the potion and cast the imperium in a bid to marry the most popular guy at school (if you ever read Knowledge of the Gods by PreciousLadyAthena on Ao3. This Lilly is basically the one depicted in that story but more evil)

C. Jilly as a whole is evil and only care about Harry's oc sibbling/ the one dubbed as the chosen one.

D. Dumbledore spelled Jilly to be evil

Regardless, it is up to you to decide wbwlHarry's house and romantic interests.

I wanna see canonverse Sirius and Harry trying to help wbwlharry with his voldemort while wbwlharry helps them to get back home.

so the ask i was referring to im gonna link to here but i'm gonna use this excuse to tell you about DIFFERENT ocs i have :D

this is the story of Starlight Six

the story follows a 14-year-old trans boy, who also happens to be a demon, that lives in the demon kingdom.

now the demons are creatures that require the energy of this one big shiny crystal to survive. then one day, the crystal is STOLEN. the demons suspect it was the humans from the human kingdom who stole this crustal because the two kingdoms have been at each others throats for thousands of years. thus the demons declare war on the humans.

so here comes in our little 14-year old named Gero.

this is him ^

he's always been bullied and the fact that he's trans never helped his situation. so to prove that he's as strong as the other guys, he decides to join the war. except instead of straight up joining the army, he decides to be a spy on the human kingdom. so he puts on that hat of his to cover his pointy demon ears and he heads over there.

now in the human military you have to go through a series of tests to be allowed in so gero goes in and, being a demon with inhuman strength and special magic (magic is possible among humans, just not common. also there are other non-human creatures living in the human kingdom as the kingdom has some alliances), passes all the tests and makes it into the prince's elite group. this group has 6 members and becomes kniwn as the Starlight Six.

here are the members:

Marvellious, the prince of the human kingdom. He is theoretically the leader of the Six but he's too inexperienced and too kind for his own good.

Code name: The Sun

This is Raulia. She has the ability to remember EVERYTHING she's ever experienced with her senses, so she's the group's information center.

Code name: Polaris

This is Leo, they're an angel. They have wind magic, and are here to watch over the human kingdom on behalf of the angels.

Code name: Rho Aurigae

This is Arius/Aria (usually just called Ari). She is a genderfluid elf who carries ancient knowledge of the land, while also being a very skilled archer.

Code name: Sirius B

This is Ria. She is a very skilled fighter. She was persuaded to join the military by her parents who thought she was doing absolutely nothing with her life (she spent most of her time playing video games. give her a break).

Code name: Eta Carinae

And finally, this is Gero, but you already know his story. He has magic of darkness.

so the story would basically follow Gero throughout this war. Gero becomes close friends with all of the Six and eventually stops being a spy and actually wants to help them win the war (as he finds out that the humans were not actually at fault here). he goes through an arc of learning to love himself as a trans person as everyone in the group is super supportive (+ Raulia is a trans woman and they have a whole bonding moment). and then of course towards the end they find out Gero is a demon and there's a whole feeling of betrayal from some of the group, but Marvellious and Ria still trust him and they help him prove himself again and stuff. and they win the war etc etc

If you don't know what A/B/O is....... Well, I'm not prepared to explain it, but Google is a wonderful resource. Probably. Be careful out there. I'm not responsible for what you see. 🤣 The below assumes you have a passing familiarity with the trope.

So this is a bit of a twist on typical ABO dynamics. It only really exists in the werewolf community, though all magical creatures have a latent designation. Remus didn't go to Hogwarts because he was abandoned after he was bitten (yes, it's sad) and grew up in a werewolf pack. Sirius goes on an order mission to reach out to the pack, and Remus is the pack leader.

The man smiled. “You can take your clothes off if you want. I’ve heard the heat is unbearable, though I’ve never been through it myself.”

Sirius didn’t hesitate to take his shirt off now that he had permission from the man. Not that he needed permission, of course.

The man’s eyes trailed over his chest and stomach, though Sirius wasn’t uncomfortable from the attention. Instead, he enjoyed it and wanted nothing more than to remove more clothing so that the man could see him better. He didn’t, because Sirius had some modesty still left that prevented him from stripping for a stranger.

“Keeping your trousers on, then?” The man chuckled. “That’s fine. Whatever you need to feel comfortable. Though feel free to stroke yourself. It won’t matter. You’ll come either way, but I’ve heard it helps.”

“I’m going to—“ Sirius shook his head, trying to clear it. “What are you talking about?”

“An Alpha always recognizes their Omega true mate. It’s a special sense that allows the Alpha to protect the Omega.”

Sirius bit back a moan, rubbing his flat hand against the bulge in his pants. “This is a great story and everything, but I don’t understand what this has to do with me. What—what are you doing to me?”

“I’m not doing anything to you, not really. Though it is happening to you because of me.” The man shifted, leaning his head against one hand. He looked almost amused. “You see, when an Omega meets their true mate, they are excited by the sound of their Alpha’s voice, and they will stay excited until they climax.”

[random, irrelevant discussion I cut out]

“Are you trying to tell me—I don’t—“ Sirius could barely think. He laid down on the floor, covering his face with his hands and trying desperately to convince himself that he didn’t want to touch himself, that he didn’t know he was about to come whether he wanted to or not.

The man sighed. “I’m saying that I recognized you the moment you walked in here. I’m saying that you are about to come merely by listening to my voice. I told you earlier that I will never harm you, and what I meant by that is that I will protect you. I told you that you couldn’t leave, but what I meant was that you won’t want to leave. What I know is that you are my True Mate.”

The moment he called Sirius his true mate, Sirius came, hard and untouched, in his pants. Sirius gasped, rolling over to try to hide the wet spot on the front of his trousers, but he couldn’t stop himself from rutting against the floor as his cock spasmed.
