"It's just too much," blurts Tangent suddenly, and Marz startles back awake. "She... she looks at me and sees someone who doesn't exist. I don't -- I can't be the person she thinks I am."

"...I wouldn't know," says Marz, and her voice is syrupy with sleep that makes the lie come out more convincingly. "But regardless, if you aren't happy, why stay? That's not fair to either of you."

"I...."

Stars, she sounds so anguished. How sweet. For all she tries to hide it, Tangent has always cared with her whole beating heart. "Either way, darling, four in the morning isn't the time to make decisions like this, is it? Even for you."

That gets a little huff of laughter; Marzipan can picture the grimacing smile on Tangent's face that no doubt accompanies it. "I suppose."

"Mm, trust me."

"I do."

Marz feels herself smile, leaning a little against her palm. "As you should!" Another laugh, this one sounding a little less reluctant. "You can think about it after you get some rest." And then, because it's four a.m. and Marz really does love Tangent more than maybe anyone else on the planet: "Either way, I'll always be on your side."

There's a very long pause; Marz very politely pretends not to hear Tangent have to clear her throat through the line. "...Thank you, Marz."

"Of course! But don't make this a habit, I do need my beauty sleep."

"I won't." Tangent's voice has warmed; the smile Marz pictures this time is gentler than the last, the one she'd only remembered in adulthood. "I'll speak with you later. And thank you, again."

"You, my dear, are very welcome."

🍓This one is short but sweet. I’ve spent a lot of time on the event, but I want to start on other requests outside of it too. This one looked fun and easy so I got it out within about an hour or so. I hope you enjoy!

Crowley

-Lets get one thing straight, Crowley does not take care of you

-It’s hard to even say that Crowley cares for you. It’s hard to say he cares for anyone other than himself.

-Still… he does do some things correctly.

-He gives you a place to live (which he threatened to take away), food (which he threatened to take away), and funding (which he… threatened to take away).

-He DOES come to ACTUALLY care for you, just… not in the traditional sense, I suppose. 

-He has frequent check ins with you to ensure that you are doing well.

-Occasionally he stops by ramshackle just to chat with you and ensure you have company.

-Believe it or not, he set up a lot of the things you do specifically so that he can ensure you are getting along with other students and have a support system here.

-He lets you keep grim around — even though he has cause countless issues for student and staff alike.

-He’s like your weird uncle. You hardly ever actually see Crowley around, but you know that he is looking out for you in his own way. 

-Thats all that matters, right?

Crewel

-Crewel is also anther oddball when it comes to how he shows that he cares.

-He is… aware that Crowley does not do a very good job at caring for you, and he’s a bit easier on you because of that.

-He’s probably harder on you homework-wise than most other students though.

-He wants to see you excel and succeed in his class.

-It would be the biggest fuck you to Crowley ever, so he works hard to make sure that you prove yourself to everyone.

-He makes sure that you’re sleeping and eating well, and if he sees that you are not, he makes you stay ofter class to talk to him so you both can find a way to solve this issue.

-If it’s money issues keeping you from eating, don’t worry. He’s now making you a lunch — or at least he gives you some money to eat.

-The nicest thing he does for you, however, is he gets you clothes.

-Your uniform is pretty… bad, and he feels bad for you.

-So, he takes matters into his own hands and gets you a nice new one that actually fits you.

-He and Trein have a rivalry over who treats you better and who you like more. (Trein is winning by like one point and it drives Crewel crazy).

-Crewel very much is the one to tell you “Boys are stupid, don’t date — especially not the ones here.” Lol

-Again, more like a very ambitious uncle who just really loves his family but never wants kids of his own.

-Oh, also, his dogs love you. So that’s a plus.

Trein

-He has two girls of his own, and he really does love kids, he’s just… jaded from years of being a teacher for snotty kids like Ace.

-You though? He likes you a lot.

-You’re a troublemaker, sure, but you always try your best in classes and have been making the best of your situation.

-Speaking of, Trein hates the way Crowley is so lackadaisical about your position and treatment.

-You are a living person? How could he just leave you to almost starve or freeze in your rickety old dorm?

-Trein visits your dorm frequently after his school day is done, just to ensure you have food and are able to stay warm/cool in the respective seasons.

-If he finds that you do not have enough food or cannot afford it, he talks to both Sam and Crowley and scolds them into lowering prices for you and raising your passive income.

-He still buys you things with his own money.

-If you fall asleep in class and you look like you need it, he won’t bother you. 

-Tells you that you can always come to him if you’re having trouble with anyone, and he will most definitely deal with them.

-Do you need extra help with homework, he’ll stay late just to ensure you’re understanding the material. 

-Seriously the number one dad at NRC, and he’s really happy to have you around since you remind him so much of his girls.

Vargas

-The resident promoter of a healthy lifestyle and great workout routine at NRC.

-You don’t really spend that much time around Vargas, so you two aren’t close, but he knows about you through the other members of staff.

-He knows how Crowley treats you, and while he isn’t one to play favorites… he can make an exception.

-Especially since he knows you aren’y always eating enough thanks to your limited budget.

-The last thing he needs is a student passing out in his class.

-He still pushes you to work out and participate, but if you’re looking like a ghost when you walk into class he’s going to make you go change and get some rest.

-He’s a gym nut, not a monster.

-He’s good with dieting though, so he’s able to tell Trein and Crewel and Same what would be best for you to eat in your condition.

-So yeah, he’s likely the least involved in your life, but he does help you from behind the scenes.

-It’s better than Crowley, so that’s a win in his books.

Sam

-Other than Trein, Sam probably sees you the most frequently out of everyone.

-You come into his shop at least once a day for something.

-At first he treated you the same as every other student, charing you ridiculously hight prices for typically cheap stuff.

-Then one day you came in looking for something to eat, cause you’d run out of what little Crowley gave you, but you didn’t have enough money.

-He nearly cried at how heartbroken you looked when you realized you couldn’t get anything.

-He gave you the whole meal for free, didn’t even ask for what you had.

-Trein is also on his ass about how high his prices are, so he purposefully has a “discount” every time you’re there to buy something.

-He also gets to know you through your shopping and makes and effort to talk to you to feel out where you are physically and mentally.

-He reports what he notices back to Trein and Crowley, just to make sure someone who has the power to is taking care of you.

-You’ve got a friend in Sam, that’s for sure.

cove doesn't know what got into him this year.

well.. he does. you two started dating last summer and with valentines day decor and gifts all over town, and sly comments from his father about his plans for the week. he can't ignore it.

he also can't ignore the fact that he does want to do.. something for you for valentines day. enough though it's embarrassing and nerve crushing, and he could probably drill a hole in the ground with how much he's shaking.

but he tries to ignore the butterflies in his stomach, and he definitely ignores the way his dad looks at him, a smirk on his face as he watches cove carefully put your gift in his backpack, and when cove glares at him, he whistles around the edge of his coffee mug, his eyes drifting around the room and turns his back to cove.

cove ignores his dad's shaking shoulders, and continues to ignore him until it's time to leave.

cove throws his bag over his shoulder, avoiding his dad's gaze as he flips the locks. "i'm going now, bye dad..."

cliff smiles, feeling a bit bad that cove looks so flustered, but he's sure he'll make it worse if he tries to comfort him. "okay, have a good day at school! tell everyone i said hi."

cove peers at his dad, trying to weigh if there's any sarcasm or teasing his dad's words... but he just nods and slips out the door, deciding to lock it on his way out.

even though he can't wait to se you, he also is procrastinating the inevitable...

he eventually finds his way across the road, and on your doorstep, hypnotically knocking on the door, a habit he is used to but also falling out of ever since you two agreed on another method of entrance via your window...

the door flies open, and instead of you, he's greeted with elizabeth's bored expression.

her face morphs into a lopsided smirk, a quip on the tip of her tongue.

she turns over her shoulder, yelling. "y/n! your baby boyfriend is here!"

cove sputters, his face flushing a bright, deep red. he hears some muffled yelling and thumps, presumably from you, but your mom coming around the corner keeps him from dwelling on it.

she puts her hand on elizabeth's shoulder, squeezing. "now now, be nice! it's a bright and new day after all, don't start by teasing the poor boy."

cove eyes pamela while she speaks with elizabeth, already knowing she's just saving her comments for later, and that she's just saving cove from elizabeth's terror since noelani left for work earlier.

pamela turns to cove, smiling brilliantly. "good morning cove. lovely day isn't it?"

ugh, she's definitely hinting about it being valentines day...

cove nods, "uh, yeah... good morning, mrs. l/n. my dad said hi, by the way."

she nods, waving him in. "tell him hi for me. you two should join us for dinner one of these days! it's been awhile.."

cove nods along with her ramblings, sitting stiffly on the couch, not sure where to look since elizabeth is also on the other end, stretched out across the other couch and engrossed in her teen magazine.

the creaking of the stairs snap cove out of his daze, and he ignores the snickering and hushed words between elizabeth and pamela.

you give a look to your mom and sister, but your eyes quickly turn to cove and you brighten up.

"oh! hi, cove.." you smile, hiding something by your side, trying to shield whatever it is with your backpack.

pamela claps, commanding attention. "now that you're all ready, lets get going, i gotta get to work. liz, where's your bag?"

cove stands up, walking to you to escape elizabeth's whining about being called 'liz', running to you to greet you.

you smile, a bit flustered this morning since unbeknownst to him, you also have a gift for him.

cove scratches his arm, smiling shyly, "um, hi y/n.."

there's a stretch of silence between you, awkward glances and you're fidgeting with your hands.

"um.." you break the silence, shuffling on your feet. "i have something for you... i was gonna give it to you at lunch but, maybe now is better?..."

you hold out a box with a red ribbon around the box, a little card folded and slipped through the ribbon.

cove flushes, a soft "oh!" slipping out his mouth. he probably shouldn't be surprised by the gift, but it doesn't mean he isn't flustered still.

your first valentines together... his heart is gonna beat out his chest.

"feel free to open it up and taste it, i [ made it myself / made it with ma / bought it ], so i hope it tastes good..." you ramble, watching cove read the card, his blush only spreading to his ears.

he pulls the ribbon, opening the box with slightly shaky hands.

he brightens up when he sees the brownies inside, white and pink chocolate drizzled on top with heart shaped sprinkles. it's cute, and looks extra yummy with caramel and chocolate chips inside the perfectly cut cubes of brownie.

he looks up, like an eager puppy, "can i really try it now?"

you nod, and cove breaks off a piece, chewing on it happily.

he licks his lips, eager to eat it right here and now but he decides to save it for later, remembering he has something for you too.

"uh, i have something for you too..." cove grabs his bag by the door, unzipping and reaching into an inside pocket and pulls out a pink, plush bunny holding a heart, and a box with a pretty ribbon wrapped around it.

you take it from him, squishing the rabbit in your hands and enjoying the fluffy fabric. reluctantly you put down the soft rabbit, in favor of opening the box that cove said you could open too.

you look inside, happy to see your favorite, [ chocolate / chocolate covered strawberries / cookies ] inside it.

you look up at cove, trying to meet cove's dodgy gaze. he scratches his cheek, shyly meeting your eyes. "i'm not good at cooking, so i just bought 'em. but i promise they're good! at least, i think.. i hope, they were the nicer ones so.." cove trails off.

you wave him off, closing the box. "they're perfect! thank you cove.."

you open your arms, silently asking for a hug which cove all but dives into, snaking his arms around your back and melting in your arms.

he's so happy.. and his heart has returned to a more reasonable beat.

you break apart, and cove covers his mouth and cheeks, feeling shy. "so.. does that mean you'll uh, be my valentine?" cove mumbles just loud enough for you to hear.

your smile wide, unable to keep the grin off your face. you nod, "i'd really like that, cove."

cove smiles, so happy he could float. "so.. do you wanna eat lunch with me? i mean.. i know we do already but like.. just you and me? maybe?" cove anticipates your response, buzzing with new, good energy.

you bite your lip, trying not to laugh at how cove is just missing a wagging tail to match his enthusiasm. "yeah, i'd like that too."

but your mom shouts from the door way, her keys jingling in her hand.

"okay lovebirds, now that you've set a date, lets go! you're late for your date with algebra!"

"mom!" you groan, looking at her laughing form with a scandalized look, cove shrinking, hiding his face.

okay okay i read the fic with rough dom tono and whewwww um, that got me in a chokehold. but hear me out though, the same plot but it’s with ronal, and he’s a mean dom. basically the same smut plot buttt for background plot ronal was being a brat; she hangs out with her friend thats a guy and tono gets jealous, but he accidentally says “if you like him so much then i bet he can please you.” ronal gets defensive out of shock and says sarcastically that it would be better than riding his small dick (when she knows he’s huge compared to her and still cant take him). That only fuels his “anger” so he throws her over his shoulder and doesn’t go easy on her. He’s manhandling her, degrading her, throat fucking her (dick and fingers), spanking her, pulling her hair/tail (you can add more ofc if you want). And that man has a size kink with her. being olo’eyktan wasn’t easy, and there were days he was sure he would snap. sometimes things just didn’t go the way he’d wanted, sometimes younger hunters fooled around against his orders and made grave mistakes, sometimes the ocean just wasn’t on his side. but he took it all in stride. things were bound to go wrong and the nature of his job was to figure out solutions. being patient played a key role in doing that effectively.

knowing ronal would be home to welcome him, too, helped him plenty. knowing she would massage the aches and pains away, would listen intently and offer her wisdom when he confided in her, it was comforting. it became the highlight of his day.

but sometimes…rarely, mind you, it felt he reached his limit. and those moments with ronal became all the more important. like today, for example.

the hunt was a disaster. an unexpected storm blew in and the ocean’s current was just a bit too strong and swept away some of the younger, less experienced hunters. he’d led a search party to find them, and luckily they did after hours of looking. one had cut her knee along a jagged rock, though, and needed urgent care.

it was stressful, it had gotten infected so quickly. they got home but the herbs needed just weren’t in stock. and there just wasn’t enough food to give her the strength she needed.

ronal, their tsahik, his wife, was nowhere to be found and he was besides himself. where exactly was she? someone needed her help. it just wasn’t like her to just disappear without a trace.

eclipse had long since swept over the tribe when he’d heard the sound of rustling bushes from the forest. it was accompanied by laughter he recognised. and another that he did not.

ronal emerged with a basket full of leaves, and next to her was…someone. it was hard to recognise just who he was in the faint light of the eclipse, but it didn’t matter. did she really run off with him?

tonowari’s jaw clenched as he saw them quickly make their way to the hut that ekala, the injured hunter was residing. he followed and watched as ronal said a prayer as she burned some of the leaves and waved the smoke about the room. next to her, the man was grinding them along with other herbs into a paste.

“no, no,” she said. “circular, like this.”

she guided his hands in the motion needed. he was an apprentice then, that’s probably why tonowari didn’t recognise him at first.

he waited as she put the paste in the wound and let ekala drink some water. “you must rest. turek will be here all night to take care of you.”

tonowari followed her out after she gathered her things. his anger was simmering, but he kept it under control. ronal said nothing as she walked to a spring, probably to bathe for the night. once they were far enough away from the village, however, he grabbed her wrist.

“where were you?”

ronal turned, surprised at the aggression. “one of your search party had returned earlier than the others to tell us of ekala’s injuries. i rushed out with turek to get the herbs we needed since the storm had washed away most of them.”

“you should’ve been here. he could have gone alone.”

he said this with such poison that ronal stepped back. “he’s still learning. differentiating between herbs is a difficult task. it would not have been wise.”

“so you thought it wise to go into the forest alone with him? and you come out giggling together?”

tonowari threw her down on some of the moss now, and she watched as some of the pollen from the plants that lived there burst around them. it was pretty, and normally she would have admired it but nothing could distract her from the truth that she was in for the punishment of her life.

her clothes were ripped off, sounds of beads being scattered along the rocks echoing throughout the cave. tonowari tugged her hair up so she was kneeling in front of him and she winced as he studied her under the faint glow of the light.

there was a jealous rage in his eyes, a kind ronal seldom saw, even less so directed at her. but there was something else in there, something more primal. a hunger.

she shivered, a soft moan escaping her lips. tonowari watched her in fascination, saw how her nipples hardened, how her mouth opened, how she rubbed her thighs together slightly. his own arousal increased and he could feel it straining against the cloth that covered him.

Firstly, what's your boundaries on people working on their own ideas based off of your worldbuilding/ideas? I mentioned it in my reblog, but I've had an AU of your AU cooking in my head for a while - are you cool if I talk about it on my blog? I don't think I'm going to write about it anytime soon, but I thought I would ask. (I know you've have fics based off your AU published - amazing works btw - but I'm referring to just using the lore for a different storyline). All credits and links would be given, of course.

Secondly (and more lore-related), you've mentioned in a few posts that Martyn is "fused" with a Listener. Do you have an idea of how it happened and when? Is Martyn aware of this? Is Jimmy a Listener or is it just Martyn?

Martyn is indeed fused with a Listener!! Here are my posts about Listener lore, as well as one that delves into their ecological niche, in case you missed them (SUPER easy to do, the hunger au tag is teeming these days LOL). Due to the nature of what Listeners are, he isn't fully aware at all, and as for how and when it happened, i dont have any specific ideas yet (beyond prior to the life games), but its likely how i imagine most Players get infected-- by entering a deep dark biome and encountering a sculk vein thats actually hiding Listener spores in it.

I havent made a post fully explaining the sculk-Listener connection just yet, but i'll probably do that next, because its something ive been meaning to talk about but havent gotten the chance to do so until now :] as for Jimmy, he is currently just a Player!!! But it's very likely he'll eventually become a Listener at some point in time, since Listeners are the universe's newest way of bottlenecking where Players go and for how long they stay in one place.

I had a long year, so I didn't get to write as much as I would have liked to, but we still got a ton done.

1. How many words have you written this year? 180,453 words.

2. How many works did you publish this year? Somehow the answer is eleven.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? Reckless Abandon. Hands down. It took so much time to plan and so much energy to write and I am so proud of it. I'm writing the ending of the first draft right now and I'm sad to leave it behind.

HOWEVER I also very much enjoyed The Last Time, which is my Nilcent fic. I think just in terms of quality, this is one of my most beautifully written fics.

4. What work of yours has the most hits? The fics I have with the most hits is Reckless Abandon, but I think that's because it's the only one from this year that had more than one chapter.

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? Dress Up As ! I wrote that in like 30 minutes while half asleep and then didn't edit it, so I didn't think anyone would read it at all lol. It's not my most popular fic by any means, but more people read it than I thought would.

6. Favorite title you used? Wilhelm's Frog Addiction because it's so ridiculous. It implies that Wilhelm needs a rehab for frogs, and I think that's great.

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most? I used the title of The Last Time from a Taylor Swift song, but I think that was the only one.

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year? Wilhelm/Simon Eriksson with 9 out of 11 fics being about them or containing them in some way. (damn thats an unfortunate statistic)

26. What do you listen to while writing? Not much, actually. I have the Reckless Abandon Playlist, but I only really used that when outlining.

28. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? Oh jesus, that's impossible. I don't think I can choose just one. I can give you one that makes me think "holy shit I can write" though:

hi dear yes i can recommend a few things that helped me! so it kind of depends what phase you're in but when i was first deconstructing i really loved the writing of sarah bessey, i enjoyed all her books but specifically jesus feminist helped show me a different picture of christianity. others in a similar vein are jeff chu and nadia bolz-weber (i would also recommend all of their newsletters). i also really liked brennan manning at that point. ymmv but i had to get rid of the young earth creationism so things like biologos and the language of science and faith by francis collins were really helpful to me. really can't stress enough how learning about evolution and the grand scale and interconnectedness of living things helped me dispose of the weird stunted anthropocentric worldview and honestly helped some with the end times shit too.

again depending on where you're at it may be helpful to go to services of other denominations and/or religions (quaker and episcopal churches helped me a lot). however i do think it's probably good for the ex sda soul to just not go to church for a while if you can and haven't tried that, particularly if you were super indoctrinated like i was. i felt like such a a sinner for this and it took me YEARS to start feeling normal about saturday being a regular day of the week and not Thee lord's day when you can't do so much as go out to eat etc but i did do it and i'm glad to report the weekend is so much better this way lmao. also i got a spiritual director! she's great and i would recommend considering that option if you find yourself wanting more personal and professional help/guidance on this journey.

after i got out of the initial trenches i got into deeper and more intellectually challenging (at least to me lol) writing like the medieval mystics, simone weil, christian wiman, richard rambuss, etc. those aren't necessarily relevant to this question though that's just what i was drawn to. also i'm not a podcast person but i think there's several exvangelical/deconstruction podcasts around if thats your thing although i can't recommend any personally.

remember to be gentle and very honest with yourself....the fundie rationale is that they have the only objectively right answer to everything by taking the bible (and for sda ellen white) super literally and the further away from them you get the more patently ridiculous that becomes, but it can obviously be frightening to see your whole worldview crumble. un/fortunately we are all just kind of here and trying to figure it (whatever it is) out more or less as best we can and there's not one right way to have (or not have) a relationship with god. luckily for all of us there's a lot less pressure than the evangelicals make it seem like. i will drop a couple tags that should have some other reading recommendations if you're interested!

Hi so like. This might sound like a very silly question but how did you get your art riso printed? Like, did you order it from a printing shop, or print it yourself? I looked at the prices of these printers out of curiosity and they seem like, surprisingly expensive so it got me thinking that I missed some cheaper offer or smth because I'm seeing more and more mention of riso printing and just. Wonder how anyone other than an office or smth can afford that lmao

hey anon! not silly at all--i love to talk riso and am always happy to share resources! putting this under a readmore because i got very rambly lol

i do print 99% of my risos myself-- i bought a used/refurbished riso EZ220 in 2020 (which is a pretty old model) so it was ~$750 USD for the machine + one color drum (this is a whole separate beast of costs). but you're absolutely correct, risos (especially new/not refurb) can be very expensive-- brand new current model ones i think can be like. the price of a new car, which is crazy. some of that's due to it being a very complicated machine, and some of that might also be due to import costs depending on location. sometimes riso dealers will have sales, especially on refurbished models, so if you are someone who's interested in buying one i would keep an eye out for something like that*. but also buying a riso definitely isn't something i would recommend if you're just starting to get into it-- they require more upkeep than a standard printer, in addition to the price (NOT TO MENTION THE SIZE.. mine is a smaller model and it weighs more than 200lbs. trying to get it into my apartment was a nightmare.)

(*if this is something you or anyone else is interested in i have further tips on this but i dont think thats really the point of this ask so i wont put them here LOL)

HOWEVER! aside from owning your own riso, there's definitely way more accessible/affordable* (*not usually cheap but definitely cheaper than buying a thousand dollar machine) ways to get into riso printing. a lot of risograph small presses will offer print services, where you set up a file and choose colors and they print for you and send them back to you. some places may also provide file setup for an additional fee. this kind of thing is definitely more expensive than ordering a standard print, and often there will be a minimum quantity that you have to order (due to the way the riso works, the more you print the more economical it is to make the print, basically). the 1% of prints i haven't printed myself i got from retroJAM Taiwan as part of a group show/order, but there are a LOT of printshops that offer this! I'm not sure what country you're in, but stencil.wiki has a great atlas here-- i'm not sure all listed here offer this, but worth a look. looking around in tags on instagram or twitter might also get you results of print places that aren't listed here.

another option (depending on location) is to take a class. a lot of colleges or community art centers have risos-- some print shops may also have community risos. classes can definitely be expensive, but often after you take the class sometimes there will be options to buy studio time to continue using the machine. (often you can't do just studio time without class, because risos are expensive and particular and very easy to break haha. obviously this makes the whole endeavor more expensive because you have to pay for class too, but once you're certified at a location you gain a bit of trust lol.) before i had my machine i was lucky enough to take a class at sva and use their print lab, which is beautiful!! and also kind of expensive to buy lab hours for (iirc, this was like 5 years ago) unless you're enrolled which makes sense. for a LONG time after that i printed at the EFA riso room which was a little more affordable (and overall easier to book studio time at. i love them!!!!)-- if covid hadn't happened i would probably still be printing there. most of my knowledge of classes is for the ny area, but again depending on where you are there might be some in your area too-- again stencil.wiki or even just poking around on instagram is how i usually find other print shops whose work i want to check out (so hopefully it'll work for this kind of thing too lol).

this definitely isn't like. an exhaustive list of riso options but hopefully this answers your question!! again i am always happy to talk riso-- i spent a long time wanting to get into it and not being sure how to and am also relatively a riso hobbyist (as opposed to like, a printing press) so always glad to pass on knowledge of how to get into riso Casually, haha.

I totally see him just buying you whatever you want with no complaints.

so when he finds out you’re a bookworm he’s the one that insists going to the book store every other weekend.

you think its a little excessive but he argues with you over it.

saying things like: “no i want to take you, it makes me happy to make you happy.”

You guys usually go to the local bookstore in your town.

he ends up carrying everything.

Like walking around the store following you with a giant stack of books in his arms.

clad in his leather jacket and all. 🥴🥰

whatever genre you like you get the most of.

Druig also picks out a book for himself to read.

I see him reading dark academia or  detective novels.

But he’ll read that book for a month long.

because you will just read the books your reading to him

or he will read to you sometimes.

You got him into YA

One of his favorite YA authors is Sarah J Mass lol

Or he’d probably be a Colleen Hover fan.

he also likes to buy you bookmarks and other little knick knack things in the store.

Could totally see him buying you crystals and tarot cards if you’re into that sort of thing.

At the check out he just stands there with his hands in his jacket pockets and his sun glasses, looking HOT.

You still feel a little guilty for letting him spend money on you.

At home you guys try to find new places for the books you just bought.

You have a wall thats just one giant book shelf.

You always say how you want to sell some books to make room for new ones.

But Druig refuses to do that because every book has some sort of memory tied to it because of you.

“what about this one?”

“no we read that the night it snowed in, it has too much sentimental value to me.”

“Druig its just a book.”

Sometimes you think hes more of a bookworm than you are.

You both like to write in your favorite books together.

like leave little messages in the margins or notes for the other to read later.

You guys will only read together sitting back to chest.

Curled up on the couch or your shared bed together.

With tea and if its cold enough, sweaters!

He just loves to spending as much time with you as he can.

146.... 146!!!!!!! Its taken me 12 years to get that many...

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 

468,189...... 8D and 1/4th of that... was all from Last Year, 2023, the year of Dracfield

3. What fandoms do you write for?

Well if I list all of the ones I have written for, its a pretty big list. But like... The Passenger, Renfield/Dracula media in general, Dead by Daylight, Stranger Things, Rise of the Guardians, Encanto, Gravity Falls, Pokemon... Lots of other misc horror media, too~

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

GOD can I skip this?? Because its a fast way for everyone to look at me and condemn me because the one thing all these fics have in common are problematic ships around One Type of Problematic and im anxious but like. Fuck it.

HAHA..OH BOY... that would be Si Tú No Estás Aquí an Encanto fic with double main character death so like. Heads Up if you read it. Proud of it but man it hurts

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? 

God I have to think uhhhh.. Probably Father's Day, a DBD AU fic that's tooth rottingly sweet, imo. I know Babies Ever After isn't for every character but I really do hold it close to my heart for Evan and Meg ;3;

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not in a while, but it's not uncommon. I write everything from Incest to underage to bestiality to snuff to necro... so it usually sets people off. Doesnt happen as often as it used to though

9. Do you write smut?

Looks at 85 of my 146 fics being marked Explicit

10. Do you write crossovers? 

Sometimes! But it has to be an idea that reeeeally grabs me

Not to my knowledge

Yep, have had some translated to Chinese, Russian, and Spanish

Yep, at least one published, partially finished long fic

but I think it'd be BlackIce (Jack Frost x Black Ice) from Rise of the Guardians

I have dozens that are half done or just a line in a document... Id love to finish them, but most will never see the light of day

God. idk. Tell me what my strengths are??

I'd like to say 'capturing characters voices'. I think im good at that...

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Probably writing action. I can see it so cool in my head but writing it down?? uggghghhghh

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

I don't usually write dialogue in other languages BUT I have done it for Encanto fics! I usually try to find someone who speaks the language if I'm not confident in writing it but with Spanish I know my way around it enough to feel relatively confident.

19. First fandom you wrote for? 

Harry Potter waaaaay back 2011-ish? on FF.Net lol. Always loved Drarry and Snarry, you can see even back then I had my Tastes figured out XD

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? 

idk man, I really don't. I've written a lot I enjoyed at this part, fics Ive gone back and read more than once! But I just cant make myself Pick one or even a top three.... So you'll JUST have to read all 146 and figure out which one YOU guys like (just avoid the ones that make you wanna die inside I wont blame you!)
