do you have any favorite comic artists in particular?

!!! tough question because as much as i adore comic art, the artists tend to be harder for me to “keep track of” than the writers. that being said, off the top of my head i’m fond of the late tim sale (long halloween and superman for all seasons artist) & norm breyfogle (unbiased even though he did co-create my favorite character because a lot of his comic art is just that good to me, particularly on batman)’s work, i’ve been digging john romita sr.’s the more i read “classic” spider-man, phil hester, cliff chiang, & sean izaakse have done some great work with green arrow, i love joe quesada’s original azrael mini stuff and todd nauck’s work (especially his newer work), adam hughes, neal adams, darwyn cooke, rick burchett, chris samnee, there’s certainly more on the tip of my tongue but that’s what i’ve got for now

i've seen like two episodes of 63 astro boy (1, and heck bens episode) and i love it, the dub is just so good in a cheesy way and honestly i think thats making it grow on me the most

It is 100% my favourite out of all of them lmao

I watched the full English dub, and I've actually got a rec list of the first half if you wanna see it!

It's got such a unique charm, bc a lot of episodes are goofy or weird with like 1 or 2 heart wrenching scenes, but other episodes are almost mercilessly bleak, to the point I'm not sure how some of it made it past the censors

every time i think of the soft spot checo seems to have for charles it makes me think about that story about charles calling him after mexico 2021 to congratulate him and say how happy he was that checo had his parents there to celebrate with him and i experience immediate heartbreak all over again
