Daydreaming about Aemond becoming king after the dance of the dragons and being gifted a magic mirror from some mysterious foreign noble. The noble tells him the mirror shows him his deepest desire and once he puts it in his chambers, he starts seeing Lucerys, the nephew he killed, in it.

Lucerys looks different, his clothes are weirder and his room had these weird contraptions like the small black box he sees his nephew using all the time. Unbeknownst to Aemond, he’s actually seeing into the future. He tries to talk to the Lucerys in his mirror but it doesn’t seem like the boy could hear, continuing to do whatever he was doing. Not that it matters, Aemond is happy enough to be able to see his nephew everyday.

He likes being able to watch his nephew sleep or read a book in his bed while he does his own work. He likes it even more when he watches Lucerys squirm and moan in bed as he pleasures himself with his own fingers. Aemond becomes so obsessed with the mirror that he barely even leaves his chambers anymore, demanding all of his tasks be sent to him instead.

It all goes downhill when one day he sees Lucerys bring a boy home. He gets so angry when he sees Lucerys make out with this boy that he starts banging on the mirror, desperately trying to get them to stop. Soon enough, the two boys break apart as Lucerys glances at the mirror in shock. The bang seemed to have come from the mirror and to Aemond’s delight it was enough to catch Luke’s attention. Unfortunately for Aemond, it isn’t enough to get them to stop as the boy coaxes Lucerys into making out with him again.

Aemond ends up watching them fuck, he’s furious but the incident was enough to give him hope that there was finally a way for him to get Lucerys’ attention.

A few days later, while Lucerys is getting ready for a date he stands right in front of the mirror. Oblivious to the other person watching him from the other end. Aemond burns with desire, his hands itched to touch Lucerys. With his curls looking so soft and his mouth shiny and plush, the makeup making him look even more enticing.

Overcome with so much desire, Aemond reaches into the mirror and pulls.

To both of their shock, Lucerys is pulled into the mirror and straight into Aemond’s arms. The younger boy is terrified but Aemond is filled with so much happiness.

Finally. Aemond thinks.

The younger boy begs to be returned home but Aemond refuses to hear any of it. Lucerys’ pleas of home and freedom fall to deaf ears as Aemond sends out commands to prepare for a wedding and a coronation. The boy seems terrified of him but it was fine. Aemond could work with this Lucerys, better a terrified Luke than a dead one.

With Aemond as king and his beloved nephew as his Queen they could finally bring House Targaryen back to its former glory.

Eldritch Clone Troopers but Not All of Them

Like the Kaminoans didn't start whatever weird thing they did that resulted in Eldritch troopers (what were they trying to do? I don't know. The troopers don't know. That Kaminoans know and this was NOT it) until after they've got a few batches underway and it never really affects the oldest troopers.

So you've got the CT's who are all eldritch horrors masking as Jango Fett, the CC's may be normal or may also be eldritch, and the Alpha class troopers who are normal. (I have not read the comics, this is my understanding of the trooper age order from fics and those sound like the canon timeline may be odd so. Basically the older troopers are not eldritch and the many many younger ones are.)

This does absolutely nothing to change the fact that the Alpha class troopers and possibly the CC's have all decided that these scary feral CTs are their baby brothers. Absolutely nothing. It also does nothing to change the fact that all the eldritch troopers see them as their gruff older brothers who make them do extra laps when they mouth off to them and sneak them candy when they mouth off to the trainers, who make sure they're meeting all the requirements and teach them their own tricks for hiding inefficiencies, who'll scold them ten ways from sunday for messy armor but also help them through panic attacks.

Picture if you will Alpha-Seventeen lecturing Rex for something insane that somehow worked and then sending him off to do 10 laps around the hanger or something and Obi-Wan's staring because he just saw this short scowly guy who looks like Jango Fett lecture this 6-ft blond with three rows of teeth and a shadow as blue as his armor and then Seventeen turns to him and is like "What? He's a little shit."

I find this very funny.

Thoughts for feral sparkling Orion in the Divorce AU being raised by Alpha Trion. He's like "ah my brother" and expects to treat him as he did before just smaller since he wasn't around Sparklings much and then his life becomes pure chaos.

Orion bites hands that move too fast near him because in the Acid Wastes where he bubbled into life alone that meant a predator and he had to react agressively to deter them. Alpha Trion constantly going to Remedy, Head Doctor in Iacon, to get repairs and saying he has everything under control. Ratchet the mentee of said doctor Doubts.

Orion climbs on top of the highest bookshelves and leaps down at unexpecting "prey" cue his future co-workers learning quickly how to avoid being attacked and "always look up". Ironhide meeting his Prime when he's sent to pick up a book and flying toddler descends for his face only to be beaten back by an archivist who leaps forward and grabs him midair by the scruff bar giving him a little shake and bearing her own teeth until he backs down enough to be sat down. And Ironhide stunned watches the Sparkling scuttle away and this is how he meets Chromia, who is the best at handling Orion because she wrestles back.

Ratchet, young innocent, first form Ratchet who is a very obedient studious preteen watching horrified as they attempt to give Orion his shoots.

Everyone who knew him during this phase just looking at Jazz who jokingly says Orion needs to be a little wilder, he's too polite and shuddering and absolutely none of them being surprised by the Megatronus Thing.

I've seen you mention in the Underline the Rainbow series that there are different types of schools for Alphas/Betas. And we know that Ef didn't get a formal education due to his abuse by Crielle and the rest of his family. What happens to an average Omega? Do they go to regular schools? Are they separated out to only go to schools with other Omegas? I'm trying to understand what a well adjusted Omega's life might be to compare. Thanks! Love your works!

So omega schools have been mentioned quite a few times. So what's established in Underline the Black is that omegas go to omega creches or omega academies, and Gary asks Efnisien early on which omega academy he went to, at which point Efnisien replies he was home-schooled. Gary asks him what 'level' he schooled to, which indicates that there's grades and years in omega education just like there are in any other.

In Underline the Blue Nate says that he studied poetry and writing at an omega tertiary academy.

So the stories answer this! Most omegas go to omega creches / academies, and can even go through to the tertiary level if they want to.

None of them go to regular schools and this has never been mentioned in the worldbuilding at all. Even in Underline the Red Faber mentions going to a school of betas/alphas.

This is also answered at least superficially in the stories - they don't!

They go to omega-dedicated education schools. Which also answers your next question too. This is why all omega education facilities in the story are always called 'omega academies' or 'omega creches' or 'omega levels' or 'omega tertiary education' and not just 'school' as a singular term. To indicate that they are separated (and also that these schools aren't at the same level or taken as seriously). In the same way that we have 'omega rehabilitation facilities, we know that they're not rehabilitation facilities for betas or alphas. Likewise we have beta/alpha school, which is the more standard 'school.'

Creches teach omegas the 'basics' (and can be thought of more as a finishing school - they'll teach you to read and write, and how to maintain a good home and sew clothing and be a good omega for your partner and how to handle a heat). Academies allow for more subjects to be taken, and omegas can matriculate through them at a tertiary level, but this is rare.

There are no schools that combine omegas, betas and alphas, and on top of that, no school education for omegas is considered as being on the same 'level' as beta and alpha education. However, in extremely rare instances, omegas can apply (or straight up lie) to do a beta or alpha level education online. This is how Flitmouse has done things in the past, he's pretended he's a beta to access more opportunities online re: education and business.

There's really no such thing as an 'average' omega, but I guess you could say most go through the schooling system, learn how to read and write, and then are matched off into marriages often against their will (and certainly not according to their own choices) as either male trophy omegas or partners.

Some parents are more 'liberal minded' and let their children choose their partners, this is more common in the lower-middle classes (i.e. Nate's class, where his parents let him choose Christian, which he considers a big deal, and a sign of his independence that he's quite proud of). But as is clear, it's not like Nate's independence has gotten him that far re: Christian or helped him avoid an omega rehabilitation facility.

Omegas are by and large second-class citizens that the get the life their parents think they should have, most don't even know they could dream for more, and feel lucky and privileged to even go to an omega academy, for example, and many don't ever ask 'but why can't I go to a beta/alpha academy' - they just assume they're either a) not smart enough for that or b) it's too much power for them to handle and therefore would be dangerous in their hands.

The brainwashing starts early, basically.
