I've said many times I don't support harassment. I block proshippers who I see going out of their way to harass with antis, especially ones who make death threats or suicide baiting comments.

I acknowledge that the culture may be different on tumblr today than it was elsewhere- From my knowledge the twitter proship community can be way more toxic than the tumblr proship community- but personally, I haven't had to block that many proshippers because they were pro-harassment. I've had to block too many antis to count because they told proshippers who were minding their own business to kill themselves. I've had antis tell me I deserved and was as bad as my childhood sexual abuser. If your reaction to this is that you don't support that, then we have the same opinion that we don't agree with everyone on "our side." I don't support harassment of any kind when anyone does it.

I do not, under any circumstance, support grooming or sexual harassment. The fault of these crimes is on the perpetrators of said crimes, not on any community they belong to. If you have any actual argument that doesn't revolve around, "I've had bad experiences with people who label themself as proship" or just hurling the word pedophilia around like it means jackshit, feel free to send it, preferably off of anon this time.

Hey I don't know if this helps, but coming from a person who is VERY strongly pro-rehabilitative/restorative justice... there will always be people who are willing to forgive you. What's important is to just keep trying to be better. You know that suibaiting was wrong, same with "watching stuff" (I'm not sure I understand what that means but trust your judgment).

While it's not an excuse, you were in the middle of an intense mental health episode while this all went down. That's really important to know, because it will help with making less hurtful choices in the future! I'm of the firm opinion that responsibility isn't a binary, but exists on a sliding scale.

When going through a mental health episode without proper support/treatment (as is usually the case in our world), I do think that sometimes in those exact circumstances it isn't possible for someone to have acted differently THAT time, so the responsibility is to apologize and to work on making sure it doesn't happen again, not to beat yourself up over the idea you could have done differently and just chose to be shitty for the fun of it.

Like I said, it's not an excuse, but it does help to differentiate "I pressed the big red button because a mental health episode made it difficult or even impossible not to" and "I pressed the big red button for the lulz of it".

Anyway, I truly believe that not only CAN people be better, but that we NEED to support people so they can do so. I'm on anon because I'm a closeted radqueer, but I'm here for you as ⭐ anon. You deserve that support because you're a person (or the equivalent of such if you identify as a nonperson).

Also, you definitely didn't betray radqueers. If someone chooses to use a member of a marginalized group being shitty to justify their oppression, they were always a bigot and were never going to be kind even if we were all perfect angels who never did one thing wrong.

If someone w/ a Cluster B disorder manipulates others without being aware of doing such a thing, panics and yells, gets aggressive out of fright and insecurity, unintentionally crosses boundaries, or accidentally makes a mistake or compulsively lies (these are all results of subconscious symptoms that it takes years to even notice for us, much less control, btw), we are treated as abusive monsters that need to be "starved of attention/supply" or "removed from your life" (actual terminology I've seen from medical websites, btw).

I have spent most of my twenty-one wretched years of life completely unaware that I had BPD, NPD, and ASPD, and I have been constantly gaslit, harassed, guilt-tripped, victim-blamed, mistreated, witch hunted, suibaited, attacked, and had my life threatened for symptoms that I have only cognitively been aware of for maybe a few months at most, because there's no goddamn resources for these disorders. Yet no matter how much work I put in to be aware of others, no matter how much work I put in to compensate for my brain that is quite literally programmed completely different than a regular human being's, and I don't mean that in a "something went wrong here" no I mean my brain is practically that of an alien's, I am still treated as some monster that is out to ruin the lives of everyone around them.

It's getting a bit sad to realize that I will only ever be sympathized for or loved when I'm six feet under, because nothing coaxes out lip service like a gravestone.
