This is gonna be like. The messiest or at least most incomplete explanation despite me having made these guys in 6th grade (9-10 years ago btw) because I was so significantly more focused on character design than any actual world building. Anyways--

So they're basically a specialized task force to deal with demonic creatures/entities! Said creatures come from an entirely different realm but they started leaking into other places like Earth so the governing body of one of the countries there, Erutan, was like "...Hm yeah we kinda need to deal with that" so yeah uhh 7 of them got dragged into this (Perenn was already from Erutan)

Each of them have a unique ability, weapon(s), and emblem and they get their powers from these markings branded onto their left arm:

The brand itself is heated with lava from the local divine volcano (which is probably also the source of the demon thingies but they're not entirely sure on that which is why they have some geochemical researchers on it)

Here's their flat colors since the other one is kinda dark so you can't see it as well but the markings and stuff are there!

The branding does glow when they're actively using their powers! They all can also do some magic things in common like a quick teleport or summoning each other, but those are a bit more draining

Originally I made them because I was like "Mmhm yes, people with magic abilities fighting demons, I can make as many OCs within this universe as I want" before it ended up being. Too many-- So I like focusing on these 8 since they were my very first ones but there are more like these three that are also important

I made magical girls before understanding what the genre of magical girl was. Incredible

vincent is introduced to the audience when he's moved back to night city after living in atlanta for a while, and he's just settled in. he's driving around town and the first song i mentioned is playing at the same time. it's a song from the game itself but it fits incredibly well so that's why i'm keeping it LOL

i mentioned a second song because i wanted to <3 that would be a song that plays when he's re-introduced to the audience in the interlude between the arasaka chapter and the broker chapter, when he's no longer actively dying and is settled in and feeling a lot better in general. the re-introduction would still be centered around night city since it's just a very important part of vincent as a character, so i can see him walking around the streets at night with this song playing and then showing up at the afterlife and getting the attention of everyone in there >:) he's one of the cool kids now

vitali's canon introduction is kinda boring actually in terms of how cinematic it is LMAO vincent is taken to his office by jackie and they just meet him there and that's pretty much all there's to it </3 so for the sake of this post i've cooked up an improved introduction scene >:)

vitali is "introduced" to the audience when jackie is taking vincent to see a fixer. they enter a very crowded club and have to push themselves a way to the far back, and while they're doing that the song i mentioned is playing. vitali is chilling in one of the booths, probably with mikhail and eddie as bodyguards by his sides, and he's dealing with a client before jackie and vincent join him there. the client is getting agitated over nothing and it ends up becoming physical, but surprisingly enough, despite having two bodyguards with him, vitali deals with the situation himself <3 all while the song is still playing <3 insanely sexy of him

mikhail's canon introduction goes hand in hand with vitali's since he's also at the office when jackie takes vincent there! they don't really talk at first. or the second time they see each other. or the third. they just keep running into each other and they just kinda look at each other from a distance and especially because mikhail looks pretty intimidating. well. vincent is a bit scared of him at first LMAO but at the same time he's curious!! because mikhail seems close with vitali!! but also since i changed vitali's introduction a bit i'll do the same for mikhail bear with me here

mikhail is "introduced" to the audience when vincent and vitali meet in the club, though he speaks very little in that scene. from that moment on, kinda like in his canon introduction, vincent would run into him occasionally at the office. i'm imagining a compilation of tiny moments of vincent arriving at the office or hanging out there and seeing mikhail every now and then while the song i mentioned is playing in the background :) in this hypothetical introduction vincent would still be intimidated a bit by him at first, but his curiosity would soon take over as well and he would eventually approach mikhail to talk to him and stuff <3

⭢ In which: you and your boyfriend, including your friend get attacked at the house. but you get brutally injured. and one ghostface in particular seems to regret hurting you but— for some reason is mainly after your boyfriend.

☆ | note: I really didn’t know how I was going to do this but I made sure to add some extra details to the whole setting and stuff. also, your boyfriend name is Mandy, go with it please :D [i tried lol] also, enjoy!

☆ | REMINDER: Mandy is NOT apart of the scream franchise, he’s just an add in and an oc of mines!! this is all fiction which is not real, don’t take this seriously.

It was just a normal night at sam’s house. it made you a bit more safer, having Mandy — your boyfriend with you, add that as a extra point cause he was protective of you. Ethan was here too, probably as a tag along or a friend, you didn’t know.

But, for some reason— he was extremely nice to you. well, you don’t see it as weird it’s just..odd. you’ve known him for a minute but other than that there was nothing between the two of you.

Mandy has been with you since day one. even after what happened in woodsboro, everyone getting killed. the Amber and Richie situation, and all that crazy stuff.

Anika turned it to the news station, you just found out that Jason carvey had died and someone else, was it all happening again? this is the main reason you had ran away from woodsboro. to get away from this bullshit.

Mandy wrapped his arms around his waist, pressing a kiss to your forehead. if you had seen Ethan’s intense stare at the both of you, then you’d feel a shiver run down your spine.

Oh, how much he hated how that wasn’t you positioned in-between his legs sitting there. it wasn’t fair. why couldn’t that be him? why? it wasn’t fair.

"So, it’s happening all over again?" you questioned, a tremble in your voice, showing how truly scared you were. Mandy placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder.

"No it’s not. we’re gonna be fine. I swear." Mandy whispered to you, you wrapped your arms around his arm and squeezed it tightly.

Ethan glanced over at Mandy while taking a swig of his beer, then he looked away with a scoff.

Mandy turned to him, "somethin’ wrong landry?" he questioned, he’s been suspicious of Ethan since— forever. Him and Chad being the only two males that were friends and then Ethan decided to come in the picture? kind of odd.

"Oh? n-no! uh, nothings wrong." Ethan said, blushing a bit when he noticed you staring at him with a small smile, "leave him alone Mandy, he’s just watching tv." you said with a little giggle.

Ethan felt a smile form on his lips from your giggle, god he loved hearing your voice so much. which is why he was annoyed Mandy got to hear it all the damn time.

"I wasn’t trying to be an asshole, sorry man." Mandy apologized to Ethan, Ethan nodded, "Nah it’s cool, you did nothing wrong." he replied.

Then something clicked, "wait a sec, aren’t you supposed to be at econ?" asked Mandy.

Well shit. there’s a little mess up right there.

"Ah, shit. right! thanks man." Ethan said and grabbed his jacket and backpack, hurrying out the door.

You watched as he left, a frown appearing on your lips. you just hoped he was okay, that’s all. nothing more to it.

After a few hours of watching the news, a scratch was heard from the front door, making you stop in your tracks. where the hell was that coming from?

"Hey, guys?" you called out, everyone who was in the kitchen looked at you in confusion, Mandy was the first to stand up and walk over to you, then next was tara.

Tara put a hand on your shoulder, "what, what’s wrong?" she questioned, you didn’t answer and felt your hands shaking in fear. why did you feel so scared?

Something didn’t feel right.

Chad, Sam, Mindy, and Anika appeared too. Mandy turned to you with a look of concern, if anything his freckles were distracting you.

You gripped his hand tightly and pointed at the door, everyone followed your gaze and their eyes landed on the door.

"I hear something. I don’t know what it sounded like but I heard screaming too." you explained, but then you jumped when more banging sounds came from the door and screaming.

Was a massacre happening in there or what? Mandy pushed you behind him while you were still holding his hand tightly.

"Run." Mindy said. and right after she said that, the door busted open and you saw Quinn’s dead body fall ontop of Anika who screamed.

There stood ghostface in the door way, making his way towards all of you. your feet moved faster than you thought it would as you started running.

"This shit again?" Mandy muttered under his breath, annoyed that nobody could get a break from this thing.

He himself started running, ghostface turned his attention to mindy and Anika, mindy tried hitting him but he/she dodged it and stabbed her in the arm, you heard her scream.

Mindy fell to the ground and her back hit the couch, "Get the fuck away from her!" yelled Anika as she wrapped her arms around his leg and hitting it.

Ghostface looked down at her, even though you couldn’t see it you knew somehow he/she was glaring.

Ghostface grabbed Anika by the neck, cutting off her oxygen as he/she did so, his/her grip getting tighter around her neck. you let out a horrified gasp and watched as ghostface brought his knife out.

he/she aimed it right at her stomach, plunging the knife in and twisting her guts while he/she did so. you felt like you were about to throw up, her screams echoed in the room.

Do something. stop standing there.

you searched the kitchen for a knife, when you grabbed it- you had so much fear that you even accidentally cut yourself.

You ran back inside the livingroom, you slipped on one foot but you caught yourself, "leave her the hell alone!" you yelled, stabbing ghostface in his/her shoulder.

he/she flinched before turning to you, his/her actions were slow, like he/she was eyeing you up and down to see if you were a threat. and you could’ve swore..you heard a deep chuckle- was he/she, laughing?

He/she dropped Anika to the ground, the girl groaned in pain and you could hear her sobbing.

Ghostface was slowly starting to make his/her way towards you now. but no, you weren’t gonna let your guard down that easily. not at all.

Mandy appeared with Sam, they were watching ghostface closely, if he or she were to attack they’d be prepared.

"On three..we attack, okay?" Sam whispered to Mandy, he nodded, "got it." he replied.

Ghostface grabbed you by the arm and threw the knife to the ground, "to hell with it, now!" Sam yelled, Mandy and Sam came from behind ghostface and attacked him.

Sam put ghostface in a headlock while Mandy got the knife out of his hands— but somehow this ghostface seemed to be stronger..? as well as more aggressive.

"(Y/n), go, run now!" Sam yelled, you hurried and started running. you heard what sounded like a 'No' come from ghostface.

Mandy froze and so did sam, what did he/she just say? how-

This gave ghostface a chance to hit sam with a right hook to the face, knocking her to the ground. Ghostface swiped Mandy underneath his feet causing him to fall.

"Pretty boys die first, huh?" said the ghostface, tilting its head, Mandy didn’t respond and instead punched him/her in the gut, "fuck you, man!" Mandy yelled.

When you heard Mandy yell, you stopped in your tracks, Anika and Mindy where hiding in a room and trying to get the window open, Anika sat on the bed, clutching her bleeding stomach.

No, you couldn’t leave him. he was the only thing keeping you sane.

Running out of the room you grabbed a brick and started running towards ghostface who was sitting on Mandy’s waist, Mandy tried getting out of his grasp.

"GET AWAY FROM HIM!" you shouted, before anyone could process anything, you hit ghostface in the head, you watched as he/she fell to the ground.

You helped mandy up, sam helping you as well. Mandy was quick to wrap his arms around you in a hug, "you okay, (Y/n)?" he asked, you nodded.

Sam wrapped a protective arm around you and mandy, watching ghostface closely to see if he/she would get back up again.

And he/she did.

The knife was supposed to aim for mandy but instead…

It hit you. right in the stomach. you let out a scream in pain, the ghostface was quick to recoil in surprise.

"Shit, run! Mandy, get the knife!" sam yelled as she sent a kick to ghostface as he/she fell back

You ran into the room Mindy and Anika were in, Mandy holding you in his arms as he was applying pressure to your wound.

"We have to go, sam you first. also your, uh, Jiminy cricket boyfriend is there." Mandy joked, "it is not the time to be joking mandy. But I’ll admit; it was funny." Sam said with a small but quick chuckle.

Sam was the first to go, mindy was holding the dresser against the door so ghostface wouldn’t get in.

you didn’t have much time because the quicker he or she was in here, the quicker he/she’d slaughter you all in this room.

"M-Mandy, you go. I’ll be right behind you, ok?" you said, groaning in pain when the pain from your stomach didn’t stop.

Mandy shook his head, "No, no. you go." he said, you turned to him with a irritated glare.

"Now is not the time to be the hero. just go, please!" you begged, mandy felt tears form in his eyes as they fell down.

You only nodded at him, he placed a quick kiss to your lips before making his way to the window.

he hurried and got to the other side, not even looking down. Sam and her boyfriend helped her inside.

Next was mindy, you didn’t hear her and anika’s conversation. you sat there in the corner clutching your stomach painfully.

"(Y/n), y-you have to go. th-they’ll be in here soon, go." Anika ordered, you made your way over to her before pulling her into a hug, "I’ll be right behind you." she whispered.

once you let go, you made your way towards the window. Anika did was she told you, she said she’d be right behind you.

You moved back a little to let her go first, she gave you a curt nod, even though the ladder was creaking you had to go. and you couldn’t look down either.

You noticed sam, mindy, and Mandy’s eyes widen, "(Y/n), anika, you both have got to hurry right now." Mindy said frantically while she was sobbing.

Your stomach was still hurting, "c’mon (Y/n) I’m right here, okay? don’t look back either." Mandy said, a sob escaping his mouth as tears fell from his eyes.

"Mandy, I’m scared." you said. even though you didn’t want to continue you knew you’d have to.

You weren’t supposed to turn around but you did, and when you did you saw ghostface right there. staring you and Anika down.

"(Y/N), ANIKA, YOU BOTH HAVE TO HURRY." Mindy yelled, you tried crawling but your hands were staring to slip.

And that’s when you felt it, a hand wrapped itself around your ankle in a tight grip, the grip being so tight it caused your ankle to bleed.

"No, let me go! let me go!" you yelled, ghostface started dragging you backwards and towards him/her, whoever the hell it was.

"C’mere pretty thing." The voice was raspy and rough, who the hell was under that mask? you started sobbing.

"Get away from— me!" you yelled, kicking the person in the face. Anika pushed you in front of her and this seemed to have enraged whoever was under that ghostface mask.

"Come on, I got you." Mandy whispered, holding his hand out for you to reach, you desperately tried grasping his hand, but your fingers kept slipping each time.

Ghostface started shaking the ladder and pushing it side by side, anika started screaming, "I don’t wanna die, I don’t wanna die!" Anika screamed.

Then, as the ladder kept shaking, it tilted, causing you to almost fall. Anika on the other hand…she wasn’t as lucky.

You heard her scream and then a loud bang was heard, she fell to the ground with thud.

Mandy and sam held onto your hand and hauled you up and into the window, you hid your face in Mandy’s chest. his arms wrapping around you as he placed a kiss on your forehead.

He felt eyes bore into the two of you, he slowly turned around to see the ghostface staring at you two. he could feel the anger radiating off of the person.

Q: What is this blog? A: Hi, I'm Dodo! And this is my Splatoon blog. This is primarily an art blog but somewhere along the way this has become a speculative biology blog and headcanon space. Put simply, it's "trying to turn Splatoon real".

Q: What do you post here? A: Mostly my Splatoon OCs. Occasionally, I post five mile long rant posts and essays about Splatoon, or Inkling biology, or my headcanons in educational comic form. If you've seen the Kraken Post or Inklings and Color or whatever I called that, those are mine.

Q: Why do your Inklings look like that? A: I approach Inklings from the angle of them being squids that evolved to be bipedal, rather than "human with some squid traits" as they're often depicted. Within the community, this is often referred to as "xeno inklings", which just means Inklings with animal traits. I don't really tag my art as such, but contextually it's the same thing. If that kind of thing makes you mad for some reason just don't follow.

Q: Your [insert headcanon here] is not canon compliant. A: Right, disclaimer now: a lot of the things here are NOT canon compliant. I try to keep most stuff canon compliant, but sometimes things are stupid or make no sense and that's when we build around it.

Q: Can I use your headcanons/inkfish designs? A: This is a question I get regularly. Feel free to use my headcanons and inkfish designs! You can also build upon them or use them as inspiration for your own headcanons. All I ask is not to copy my OC designs.

Q: Where can I see/read your headcanons? A: My headcanon tag is #squidthoughts.

Q: Where can I see your art/OCs? A: On the blog, my art tag is #dodo art, you can also see comics at #dodo comics (and here is a masterpost of links to the bigger ones). If you want to see profiles for my OCs and more comprehensive art galleries, see my toyhouse)

Q: What program do you use to draw? A: Clip Studio Paint, mostly keep it simple with one brush lol. I doubt anyone was going to ask about brushes anyway because I literally just use one with pretty much no line variation.

Q: Do you do requests/commissions/art trades? A: None of these... sorry!

Q: Do you have Art Fight? A: Yes! I usually go hard on the event (my final tally for 2023 was 69 attacks). My page.

Q: Can I send an ask? A: Yeah, but keep in mind I sometimes take a while to answer. Also, if you're just going to send your own headcanons, consider just publishing them to your own blog (it gets frustrating getting "asks" where there's not actually anything to answer). Also if you're going to send something mean because you don't like something, just leave instead and go send something nice to someone you like.

Q: Can I ask about your OCs? A: I accept asks for and about my OCs with open arms. In fact, you can send asks directed to my OCs in my ask box and I'll draw a response in most cases. (Tag for these: #ask oc)

Q: When did you start playing Splatoon? A: I started in late 2015, with Splatoon 1. But I started this blog around 2018, I think? If you play Splatoon, you might've seen me (sticky boy). I mostly play Salmon Run.

Q: What's your main weapon? A: I've grown as a person and am no longer an E-Liter 4K main. However, I don't really have a main. I like variety in games and my goal has been 3-starring every weapon in the game... so eh. I like Chargers, Rollers and Splatlings the best. Also if I get annoyed enough I revert back to being an E-Liter main. Sorry

Q: Do you play other games? A: Before Splatoon, Zelda was my main fandom alongside Pokemon. My favorite games are Pokemon Legends Arceus, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Splatoon, Night in the Woods and Minecraft. Other than Splatoon and Minecraft though I barely ever play anything else. Q: Are you American? A: Despite the fact that I'm always posting shit at US afternoon times, I am in fact from northern Europe. My sleep schedule is just all over the place and I get productive at 11pm onward. lol. (Guess what time it is right now!!??!?)

Q: What if a question I was going to ask wasn't here? A: My ask box is open. Just send it there and if it's a common enough question, it'll probably pop up in this list later.

I'm the guy that does the funny draws (and music (and sometimes edits)).

Some of you have definitely heard that line way too many times before. Or some of you probably just know me as the Simple Yet Stupid guy. If you haven't seen me before, congratulations! You've successfully met "that guy" (me) for the first time!

Im trying to do one of those iterator ask blogs, do you have any tips? Especially for getting it off the ground? Since I’m just kinda stumped about how to be interesting and reel people in, as I supposed to post at certain times? And what kind of things should I post if I haven’t gotten any questions. I’m sorry if these are kind of odd questions lol. And a lot in advance! :)

i swear i replied to an ask with askblog tips before but i cant find itttttttttt Falls to the ground. so i’ll just answer this as it is then (i managed to ramble for a bit so i put it under the cut)

umm. i wouldn’t say i exactly. have advice. for getting your blog off the ground. Because if you ask me how my own askblog got so much attention i would say I dont know . the only reason i even started it was because someone in the tags said i should and the concept of an askblog was appealing to me So i did that. and if you go to the very beginning of the blog you will see that most of the asks are just from my friends asking either silly or serious stuff. so i guess on that front my word of advice is just …. go to your friends. and be like Dude you will never believe what just happened to me (made an askblog) and let them get interested in it. just the same circle of friends can circulate the askblog long enough to attract new people. probably ?

i mean i guess the thing i also did was reblog the intro post to my main. once. and then never again. i reblogged asks sometimes if i liked them or if they were funny but i mostly kept my main blog stuff and askblog stuff separate (i suppose i did at that point have mostly rain world fans as my following so me reblogging it to my main maybe made them interested) you absolutely do not need to post at certain times. i mean…. you Can get a schedule if you wanttt. but like it’s literally fine i just answer asks whenever and ball

another thing about asks is that. Asks Produce Asks. so to speak. because everytime you answer an ask you get at least 3 more for it. so as long as you keep answering asks you’ll keep getting asks, though sometimes people will also send you stuff even if you havent answered in a month or something. But yeah i guess what im trying to say for this uhh …. if you don’t get any asks at first either try and get your friends to ask some questions. or if not that then maybe ask yourself stuff ….??? i dont knowww but like i said when ppl see an answered asks they get motivated to send an ask of their own. so

umm if you havent gotten any questions in a while you can just post. whatever. it’s your askblog. you can lorepost or you can just post silly images relating to your iterator oc The world is your oyster man

some more general advice is to draw asks however you want. you don’t have to fully polish and color all of them, you can just color certain ones or hell never color any asks, you can even not draw at all because i know some people reply with just in-character text. either way i promise you at least Someone will be interested so. good luck ? i hope that helped at least a little bit

before i say this, i need to explain i was a child with a very early access to internet. also, i am, as a great mind said once, a pathological people pleaser, and my sister was a directioner,,,,,,,,, so yes ofc i wrote a fanfic about harry styles for my sister, even though i never published it, and it was just a dumb y/n story,,,,,,,, (this was like 2012). though, since harry styles is a real person and not a character like my 9yo self thought, then i assume the next one would be,,,,, damon salvatore (it was posted on wattpad and absolutely horrible, i had an hyperfixation and created an oc and everything)

here, i give yall a snippet of the musician!alex au yall saw on the wip title game (that can be alternatively called "fulfilling most of smut saturday prompts in one single fic bc i wanted to try writing smut and it quickly got out of my hands")

so, idk if this would be nsfw bc it is not the smut itself, but more like smut-adjacent narration, but still putting the break so y'all can decide if you want to read it or not

This exact moment, though? It might not only embarrass him in a very public setting, but might also make him combust and collapse from sheer lust.

The entire place is crowded to the point of asphyxiation, the fans are spinning at their limit speed on the ceiling, and Henry feels like this is probably how hell feels.

That is, if hell ever had the pleasure of getting Alexander Claremont-Díaz on his knees, making the most obscene and erotic guitar solo known to mankind, thrusting his hips to the rhythm of She by Harry Styles on his guitar while the lights focus on him; his open white shirt shows the chain he now knows contains the key to his family's home at Texas, his glistening chest and the sweat that rolls over his collarbones, his pectorals, his abdomen and then disappear on his navel behind the guitar. It makes Henry reminisce of that first video he ever saw of Alex, and can’t help but compare the performance to seeing it live after more than a year, while knowing how excited he had been at the rehearsal, jumping and moving around while refusing to practice because of his own jitters.

Of course it paid off, Alex, the bloody show-off, has the entire place entranced under his spell, not even the clients sitting on the bar stools, who had shown little interest in the performance through the night, could take their eyes off of Alex.

Henry absolutely gets it, but can't help the feeling of jealousy that courses through him. He desperately wants to drop to his knees to show Alex how marvelous he is, hoping he thrusts in his mouth like he does on his guitar.

Guidelines

Anyone may interact though for anyone wanting to use their oc I do request that anonymous not be used. I want to be certain the actual owner of the character is wanting to interact. I may direct-message any oc-askers if I'm unable to find information about the oc. Linking to a oc's bio or giving a description within the ask about the oc is greatly appreciated.

If the ask doesn't specify who the asker is, I will assume the asker is supposed to be Yuu, the Ramshackle Prefect from another world. If you want thoughts about your oc, please clarify if you mean you want Crowley's thoughts on a being in universe, Crowley's thoughts on a made-up character, or if you're asking the mod for her thoughts. I probably should assume it to be the first option, but sometimes I can get confused.

Hate for Crowley is alright with me as long as it's nothing like a graphic description of gutting the man. I may not respond to any hate sent in as depending on it I might want to hold onto it and make one post for a compilation of general annoyance for the character.

Flirting is alright with me as long as it's sfw and not from a minor nor a student of Night Raven College. This does mean that the asker will need to clarify who the asker is rp-wise. If a pick-up line is sent but no clarification if the asker is supposed to be a student or a teacher or whoever, then it will be deleted.

If any asks sent in have any potentially triggering stuff, such as spiders, which would trigger arachnophobia, I will be reworking the ask. This means I will rewrite the ask into a post. I will tag the asker if it wasn't anonymous so a notification should still reach them. I will put the possible offending material under the cut off / read more section of the post.

Please do look for any warnings on posts with read more before expanding them. I will try to tag and catch any triggering stuff, but I'm not fully aware of all possible upsetting material. If any of my posts have missed any of that, please let me know so I can add trigger warning tags to them. I wish for this to all be a fun and light-hearted role-play blog.

I might switch from styles of using quotation marks when Crowley speaks to no quotation marks at all. No quotation marks usually means it's just Crowley speaking. If I do use quotation marks, that may mean I'm having Ghost Janitor interact as well or it made more sense to do so for me at the time. Sorry if that ends up annoying, I'm a bit new to this so there may be some awkward moments as I figure this out.

I only have access to the English server so please don't request anything that's only out in the Japanese server. This is a sideblog for fun and I wont always react in the way I think Crowley would really behave. I may be silly or ridiculous with how I have Crowley act.
