Two teammates down.

“Shit, come on boys!” Geto sighs, “Haibara you good?” Geto pauses for a moment. “Haibara?”

‘ Press F to pay respect to Haibara.’ Gojo types.

Geto’s head slumps forward in defeat, three down.

“It’s just me now.” he takes a deep breath and focuses on the game. He feels your hands massage his tense shoulders from behind, you lean down and wrap your arms around his neck.

“Hey love, I see the other girls are fucked up… was that your doing?” he smirks, his eyes not leaving the screen.

“I would never do that, it was all Mei this time.” you say, nuzzling your face in the crook of his neck taking in the scent of his body wash and shampoo. You give him a kiss on the cheek.

“Uh-huh…Sounds like both you and Mei planned it seeing as Nanami isn’t saying anything.” Geto let’s out a “yes” under his breath as he gets a headshot kill and captures the flag they lost because of Gojo.

Getos feels your arms leaving his body, he gives your hand a quick kiss before you walk away.

You position yourself underneath his desk and tug at his sweats.

“Babe, what are you doing?” he quickly glances down at you.

“I wanna look at your tattoo. I didn’t get to look at it upclose.” he feels you pull his brief and sweats off.

“That’s not just my sweats-oh fuck…b-baby. Not so-mmmm.” he groans, feeling you lick and suck his balls. “It was good, I’m a little drunk but I missed you more.” you give his hand a kiss and lay on his chest. Nanami wraps his strong arms around you, he shifts his body so you're laying next to him. His hand gently caresses your hair.

“No Kento, I wanna fuck not cuddle.” you try to get away from him but he squeezes you tighter.

“Shhhh go to sleep. You're drunk” he holds you tighter.

“Nanamin…” you whine. Silence fills the room. His body twitches in response. You sigh and lay there admiring his features.

“He’s already asleep again.”

Toji Fushiguro

Loki s2e5 Thoughts & Feelings (Spoilers)

THE INTRO LOSING THE LETTERS!! I'm a sucker for when an intro is slightly changed. And in the end credits when the lines and type get all wonky! I love it.

Ok I have a question. When Loki finds everyone, they are all on branched timelines, not the Sacred Timeline. So doesn't that mean the lives on these branches could be slightly different or totally different than their original lives on the Sacred Timeline? Sylvie says they're back in their "real lives", but is that even true? 🤔 Also, I know people are theorizing that Don's wife was dusted during the snap, but technically in this branched timeline, the snap might not have happened.

B-15 being a doctor was so good 🥺 "I looked happy." Yes, you did... I just noticed her name on the captions was "Dr. Willis!"

Don!Mobius said he'd seen Loki in the shop before, did Loki timeslip there and not remember it? Or... has that not happened yet?

Hazbin Hotel Episode 7&8 Spoilers:

Ok, ok. I’ve finally calmed down a bit. I have. SO many thoughts on Alastor, that I’m just not gonna touch on them in this post, aside from I FUCKING KNEW HE WAS LOSING IT FBSKDNFBSHHDHFBS.

But what I wanna focus on is Rosie! And how she’s been described as the nicest overlord. And how Cannibal Town is like, the nicest place we’ve seen in hell??? The streets are relatively clean, no one is trynna kill each other. There’s so many people out on the streets, just? Going about their days? Aside from the fact that they’re all cannibals, it’s almost like any other town you’d visit! (I am not familiar enough with the fashion styles over the years to like, accurately date what time period Cannibal Town is supposed to reflect, but it feels old (and somewhere Alastor would fit right in with) lol).

And then we actually meet with Rosie, and she’s in the middle of consulting one of her people, where there’s a HUGE line up of others looking like they’re waiting to consult with her too! And like, even before she spoke with Charlie about her love life, she’s giving advice and comfort and support and connecting to the lady she’s speaking with who apparently wants to eat her husband. Before saying that she’ll set the man straight if the lady sends him to her, and gives her a card if she ever needs any more help.

Like. First minute into seeing Rosie and like. WOW. You can IMMEDIATELY tell that this is the reason why everyone in Cannibal Town’s so chill and happy? Why there’s such a sense of order and security in a place that’s basically just anarchy?

Rosie is both the Overlord, the unofficial mayor, the therapist and consultant and your best friend all wrapped up into one. She’s got an entire lineup of people who are waiting to tell her their woes and listen to her advice. And she’s happy to help!

Even the actual cannibalism is like, so posh and proper? Or it’s treated in Cannibal Town as like, normal food. But also it’s very telling that no one’s killing each other for said cannibalism. In fact, the only times we’ve seen them do so is after an extermination, when there’s a bunch of dead bodies that aren’t reviving lying around. (And they seem to lose their manners when eating then) It is likely tho that they just, target outsiders, since everyone we saw aside from Alastor and Charlie were a part of Cannibal Town.

Just the Juxtaposition of a town literally full of Cannibals being probably THE nicest place in hell for sinners to live in??? Immaculate.

Also, Rosie’s snide comment on how Alastor’s got no manners when it comes to being offered food LOL. And, I just LOVE their relationship and interaction. First time chatting in years and she’s already offering up place with a deal for Alastor to go make. That AMAZING little joke about him being Ace and having it COMPLETELY flying over his head. Alastor letting her touch him, and how genuinely excited and happy the two of them are just talking and interacting. Their little duet in the middle of the song, the way Rosie pulls Alastor out of his scheming to just enjoy the moment. Their dance!!! She’s never been wronged by Alastor before!!! She trusts him to follow through on his side of the unofficial bargain/favor. Looking like proud parents when Charlie finds the courage to sing her pitch. I love, everything about these two, oh my god.

Anyways!!! Back to Rosie being just, a genuinely good aunt? And giving so much good advice for Charlie. Asking her the questions that needed to be asked. Rosie has, such good insight? On what the issue was, and why Vaggie would’ve kept something from her. She didn’t shy away from how big the secret was, but she also didn’t let Charlie spiral into questioning every little part of their relationship. And that little end but when she’s saying that Vaggie is flawed, but so is everyone else down in hell. GAWD. How it’s difficult to admit your regrets. Like, if that isn’t the core of the show, the core of Charlie’s dream, then I don’t know what is. Rosie cut through to the heart of the matter, she didn’t tell Charlie what she should feel or how she should act, but asked her what she’s actually feeling, and why, and told her to trust herself and her own judgement on if Vaggie’s actions were sincere or not. Man she’s such a good therapist.

(I’m half convinced Alastor didn’t just bring Charlie to Cannibal Town and see Rosie just because they needed support and numbers to fight against the exorcists, but also because she’s the best person he knows who can give out good relationship advice and he’s getting a little tired of Charlie venting at him. Especially now that she’s past the self loathing phase and has stepped into the unrestrained anger and frustration at someone else phase)

Also, unrelated topic but here’s a thought: only angel steel/holy weapons/powers can do permanent damage to someone’s body/soul. Vaggie’s eye is torn out by Lute’s exorcist blade, but her wings were just ripped off by hand. Vaggie’s eye never regenerated or recovered, but she was able to regrow her wings. Alastor was struck by Adam’s holy weapon across his chest. What if the injury never fully recovers?

And also, Alastor’s talk about “unclipping” his wings. My friend, once a bird’s wings are clipped they can’t be unclipped! You have to wait for the feathers to shed and grow in new ones. To regenerate. Also what is this talk about you having wings??? Don’t tell me you’re ALSO a secret angel??? Probably not cause your blood is red BUT. Where are you hiding those supposed clipped wings of yours eh?!

“of course! as his favourite fun uncle–” seokjin stood up, stretching dramatically.

the sound of doors closing made them rush to them, not wanting to miss a meeting with their friend’s son.

but you… you just had something enchanting. the way you were smiling softly on the picture, e/c eyes sparkling with joy.

“papa, she’s almost as old as you!” the boy giggled, wrapping arms around his dad’s neck.

“you spend too much time with uncle jungkook, youngster. i’m not old” yoongi scoffed, looking at your information.

26, worked before in daycares and even primary school, finished studies, et cetera et cetera. loves kids, music, autumn…

“can she be my aunt?” juwon asks quietly, bringing yoongi back to reality “she’s really pretty…”

“aunt? oh, you mean nanny? of course. i’ll give her a call but you’ll go to bed, alright?” yoongi asked, voice soft.

“m’kay! will you come give me a hug later?” juwon blinked. yoongi nodded, ruffling his hair before picking up his phone to make a call.

suddenly he realised he’s nervous.

why is he though? it’s just a call to ask if you’re willing to watch over juwon. just a call.

yoongi closed his laptop and rung, looking at the clock. it was 9pm, which is kind of late but…

“hello?” your voice made him go weak in the knees. suddenly you yawned and giggled and oh god, it was the cutest giggle he’d ever heard “sorry, i was asleep…”

“oh no, it’s fine! did i wake you up? i apologise” he cleared his throat, words suddenly flowing out of his mind. there was a moment of silence before you spoke up.

“i’m guessing you’re calling in regards to the job announcement…?” you ask hesitantly "at least i'm hoping so..."

“yes. if you’re available, of course. could we have a trial week?” yoongi hummed, leaning down to pick up a cookie plushie that juwon must have left behind.

“oh. yes, of course! how old is your kid, mr…?” you smiled and he could clearly hear it. focus, yoongi.

“juwon is five. i’ll send you the address through text. is next monday okay?” he asked.

“mhm”

“great. see you soon then” yoongi said.

“yeah. good night, mr juwon’s dad” you let out a little chuckle

“good night” yoongi nodded and quickly hung up, his heart beating like crazy. he had a feeling that he forgot about something.

whilst caressing his hair anxiously he stepped into juwon’s bedroom with a subconscious grin.

after the weekend here you were, hesitantly looking around in front of the fancy door. you took a deep breath and knocked, the sound of feet suddenly running around making you smile.

“juwon, don’t–!”

the door opened and you grinned upon seeing a small boy standing in them. he was tightly hugging a cookie plushie, looking at you with his brown eyes wide.

“hi” you smiled sweetly but the boy backed out and hid behind his dad’s legs. you looked up and couldn’t smile at how alike they were, almost 1:1. this kid was literally his copy. they were staring at you with their mouth open, which made you grin.

“hi” yoongi breathed out, his heart beating like crazy against his rib cage. pull yourself together, he thought.

“can i come in?” you asked, the chilly wind whistling in the background making yoongi realise he’s staring.

“of course, sorry. do you want something to drink?” yoongi asked, letting you in.

you took off your shoes and coat, both mins looking at you in awe. you tried your best to stop the blush from creeping on your cheeks.

“tea, if you don’t mind. what’s your name?” you asked juwon softly, even though you knew the answer. he looked at his dad hesitantly and when he just nodded with the softest smile ever, you knew you’re in trouble.

“juwon” he mumbled and ran away off to this room. yoongi smiled politely and gestured you to sit down.

“he’s… like me. as much as i find it adorable, he has problems with socialising at the daycare” yoongi sighed, reaching for a cup.

“i see. it’s not a bad thing though. some kids are more introverted and others are just making new friends everyday” you nodded.

“i know. but since he doesn’t like daycare, i won’t pressure him. hence you” yoongi gave you a steaming cup of tea.

“thank you, mr min” you said and watched his eyes widen a little.

“no need to be so formal. call me yoongi, please” he smiled politely and took a glance at the clock “ah, i have to go. please call me if there’s a problem”

“of course, yoongi” you hummed and he froze while reaching for his bag “have a nice day!”

“t-thank you” the man stuttered and you could swear his ears were tinted with pink.

a week passed way too fast. you had a lot of fun with juwon, even though he was still opening up to you.

when it came to his dad, you were going insane. min yoongi was driving you absolutely crazy (even though he was leaving the house once you arrived and sending you back home the moment he was back) but you felt a bit… guilty. what if he’s married? sure, he doesn’t have a wedding ring but some people don’t wear it, right? or maybe he has a girlfriend? however you didn’t see any pictures of him and a woman placed around a house. on the other hand, he had a lot of pictures framed of him and his friends. what if one of his friends is actually his boyfriend?

it was lazy evening on a saturday night… well, actually it was nearly midnight when juwon yawned obnoxiously loud and made you turn back to reality.

“you’re tired, huh?” you scoffed quietly and shook your head, looking at the tv. normally you would just come by monday-friday but yoongi called and asked if you can watch over juwon on saturday because he was pressured to meet with his friends (by them, against his will).

so here you were, watching cartoons with juwon and his plush friend, shooky.

juwon suddenly clung onto you, his small hands wrapping around your waist.

“‘m sleepy” he mumbled, placing shooky on your tummy.

“me too” you hummed, turning off the tv. the living room turned dark, only lit up by the weak moonlight peeking from behind the window.

“‘m too tired to go to bed” the boy added. you let out a gentle laugh, not to disturb him and put a blanket over you two.

“it’s okay. good night” you whispered and ruffled his hair before closing your eyes.

you’ll just rest your eyelids for a bit and then carry him to bed, duh.

but before you realised you started dozing off as well.

you didn't catch the sound of door opening and keys clanking but you did hear a soft, quiet sigh followed by a gentle laugh.

“aich, so cute” yoongi mumbled upon seeing you two asleep. his heart was beating a little too hard against his rib cage.

he didn’t realise he was staring until juwon moved in his sleep, shooky falling on the ground.

“shit, i’m whipped” yoongi grunted and reached down for the plushie, failing to notice the smile that bloomed on your lips.

but overall, this movie slapped. i say that about every movie but still. i loved the emphasis on scott and cassie’s relationship, i thought the special effects looked cool, and the creativity put into making the people of the quantum realm diverse but still very human was tangible.

10/10 good movie, though i do think it’s funny that ant man went from “thief that hangs out with his bestie in san francisco and occasionally fights with the avengers” to “oh my god he saved everyone and is now stuck with a very powerful multiversal enemy”

I'm sorry but this whole passage had me giggling and flinging myself about in bed as I read it like a school girl, and it is so funny to me that they did All That in front of an audience of not only four powerful men but also a soiree of guests. It's like when you see regency era period pieces of a couple breathing heavily with barely contained lust after one dance bc they're Repressed Virgins, and remembering that there is a whole ballroom of other people there.

"He doesn't love you." <- NO! BAD! (spritz with water). My immediate thoughts is Sapsorrow or some other force is interfering.

"“I just thought I saw-...” Perona began, cocking her head sharply to the side and holding firm her gaze, “Something watching.”" <- screaming and wildly swinging a baseball bat. I'm so emotionally attached to these characters and invested in this story that I know that there's no way it ends on so soon all happy so there's got to still be conflict before the wedding in order for a resolution and I'm excited but at the same time I Refuse.

The description of Beckman and Governess' relationship!!!! I love them so much!!! "He treated you with the utmost respect and found himself hanging onto your every command as a loyal knight taking instructions from his queen. From then on, you were the friend he confided in and trusted to handle the troop easily when ushering you throughout the seas on the red-force. Of all aboard, you trusted Beckman the most to treat you well." AAAAAAAAAA

She's literally making him fumble over himself. Just the thought of such a serious figure doing all this to strip himself of his dignity just for his beloveds comfort so that she might have a confidant in a new place where she is alone and so that he might be able to partake in her unadulterated company, and the idea that he loses all his composure around her and fumbles, is so sweet. The way you write it manages to work with his personality and not feel out of character, and it's so romantic I Love it.

"I am uninjured, my darling," MY DARLING??? What happened to keeping up the facade, Governess?

"“I believe the world of your abilities, sir. Now, allow me to aid in your rise to your feet once more,” you smiled down at him, his eyes meeting your own with an almost overwhelming amount of adoration. You hoisted him up to his feet, uncaring at the passing of grime onto your clothes from his." Governess stand up, get off your knees, put away the ring, you're already engaged to him!! My girl is swooning

I do love how the Governess recognized the voice as being external and even noticed it having a physical presence, and not letting it overtake her by assessing her thoughts rationally. It shows her strength and smarts in being beyond just a Damsel In Distress but still believably in distress if that makes sense? It kind of makes me excited that now that she actually knows she wants the marriage and future with Mihawk I feel like she'll be beyond angry when she finds out something/someone has been trying to take it from her, and I really can't wait.

"He yearned for this deceit to flee from his form. No longer desiring to adorn this shield and to be the man beneath this amassment of muck for you; he wanted so desperately to cast aside titles and just truly be yours." A man that loves his wife! What a lovely gift for me! Chewing on him as we speak <3

"“Step away from my governess, Hag!” Her voice held several tones within the single vocal strand, the air sucked from its delight of the morning rays." I FUCKING KNEW IT!!!

I love Perona so much, I (and the Governess) am so proud of her, she was brave, and kind and observant enough to notice when things were going wrong with someone she cared about, and she stood up for her friend, she's obviously always been an awesome person but I feel like her time with the Governess has allowed her to direct herself more and therefore do more and it's really cool to see the good influence on her daughter ward.

“What was it you told the clown? We are more than the titles that make us?” hhhhhhhh he values her thoughts so much he memories all her words and conversations even those that don't involve him

“I had always thought of you as a woman who commanded every space she found herself within. A/n: Last time I posted on here was eons ago, can't believe I'm back. Anyhoo, I want to see that twat Aemond get his ass kicked by a hot demon chick who just so happens to be from Asshai (Gawd, I love that place sm)

"And where is she?"

"Your Grace, no one has seen her since her arrival. Nor has anyone seen her men".

"I have heard tales of the Asshai'i ,they're an odd people. Live by their own means"

She didn't ever hear her lord husband's words. Queen Alicent scanned the throne room once more, in hopes of spotting her son's betrothed somewhere in the crowd. She could see the young prince's face in the corner of her eye, cocky grin on his face. Nothing but a mask, something to hide the anger that was bubbling inside. Alicent knew her son well. He was not happy with the news of the betrothal his mother had arranged for him. Surprisingly, he consented. As stubborn as he was, he knew it would be for the best to have Asshai as an ally. And yet, he couldn't help it but feel annoyed at this scene his betrothed was causing. The Targaryens hosting an entire feast in honor of the union and the other half wasn't even present.

"Ser Criston, send out a search party. Find them and have them brought here immediately."

"At once, Your Grace."

"That won't be necessary, Ser Criston. Alicent, that's enough. We cannot insult our guests like that, especially not our soon-to-be daughter-in-law. We'll wait."

Viserys didn't understand. Or simply did not care.

"My husband, they are insulting us! First they do not present themselves at court, now they refuse to attend the feast. What will the people say once they hear our own son's betrothed would dare show such disrespect not only to her future husband, but to us as well! To you, my King!" The Queen reasoned "We cannot have that, she must be brought here at once!"

King Viserys only shook his head. He would not have his wife spoil this feast by letting her have the Asshai'i dragged into the throne room as if they were some common criminals.

"Alicent, I said enough!"

"So...brother... Looks like you won't be meeting your betrothed any time soon, aye?" Prince Aegon delivered through hiccups and drunken laughter, patting his brother's shoulder in pretend consolation. "Such a shame, you didn't even get to meet her before she ran off..."

"You're drunk, you don't even know what you're saying."

"Well, of course I am drunk! I'm happy for you, brother! I want to celebrate your marriage! That's why we're all here, right? To celebrate!" Aegon's attention quickly turned to the young servant that was pouring more wine in his glass. After a few seconds of ogling the poor girl, he turned back to his brother "That is, if there's even going to be one."

Aemond had learned to ignore his older brother through the years. Very little of what he said had any meaning to it. However, that bastard could still land a hard blow from time to time.

"Not to worry, brother! I'm sure we'll find you something...eventually" Aegon bursted into a fit of giggles and more hiccups.

"Do not pay him any attention, brother. She will come" Helaena, their younger sister, offered with a warm, reassuring smile. "Stone melts and vines envelope the cold of the night. The bat's teeth shatter as it bites down."

Aemond offered a faint smile in return, while his brother rolled his eyes at his sister-wife's words. Aegon gulped down his almost full glass and signaled for the servant to pour him another one, then turned back to his brother.

"Save it, brother. I care not for anything you have for me."

"Fine, fine. I was j-just trying to chee-"

The loud music, the buzzing of the crowd and his family, his brother's meaningless chatter,it all dissappeared at once. Even his anger dissipated. The world around him quieted down as Aemond looked over to the main entrance.

There stood a stunning young woman, surrounded by about a dozen men. Her shimmering black dress was in total contrast with her ghostly complexion, hugging her figure perfectly. She was staring straight ahead, her eyes not moving to look at anyone or anything around her. Blood red lips moving ever so slightly, she was talking to the man on her left. If he weren't staring at her face, Aemond would've no doubt missed it. She was stunning.

Her men were all covered in black as well. The group stood out like a sore, gloomy thumb. Just like their lady, they were all staring ahead, blank faces and eyes not blinking. Ever.

Suddenly the prince could hear his brother's chatter again. But that was it. The music had died down, so had the crowd and the remainder of his family. Now they were all hushed whispers and wandering eyes.

"Lady Vessard of Asshai! The Ubiquitous Thorok Ainū! Master of Shadows!" Someone's voice stated for all to hear.

"Why is she alone?" The prince heard his mother whisper, seemingly to herself.

"Lady Vessard!" King Viserys rose to his feet, the rest followed. "I hope your journey was pleasant!"

"Indeed it was, Your Grace."

Her words could be heard through the entire throne room, her voice ringing off the high walls, tone flat and words firm. She was moving towards the table the royal family had been sitting at, at unnerving calmness. Her men following close behind.

"My Queen, my King."

"My lady! I'm glad to have you with us at last! We were starting to worry, no one had seen you since your arrival in the capital earlier this morrow." Queen Alicent said.

"Ah, yes." The young woman replied. It was obvious the Queen was expecting some sort of apology. She was not going to get it from her though. "My companions and I decided it'd be best we get familiar with the city, seeing as we'd be spending a large portion of our time here." The woman in front of them said just as calmly.

"I may be the drunk one here, brother, but at least I know I ought to stand up in the presence of a lady." Aemond heard a faint whisper coming from above him. He looked up at his brother. Then around the room. Everyone was on their feet. All except him. He was so smitten with this mysterious woman, the king's second born son didn't notice the people around him stand up as she approached.

Aemond slowly rose to his feet, his chair dragging on the floor with a screech. He winced mentally. The woman's eyes immediately turned to him. She didn't say a word, just stared. Two incredibly large, incredibly black eyes staring at his blue one. Still not blinking. As if they were drinking him up. The normally confident prince averted his gaze.

"Oh, yes-yes! I don't believe you've met my son..." the King began.

"No, I haven't." the woman interrupted. "Prince Aemond." She nodded her head.

Silence. Then a small nudge on his left. He spared his brother an annoyed glance, Aegon was practically shrugging his shoulders at him and the woman in front of them.

"My lady!" The Prince shot at her loudly. She knew his name, and yet he had not even the slightest of an idea who she was.

"It's good to meet you at last."

"Yes,yes it is."

By this point, the whole room was staring at the pair. Observing the rather awkward moment the two were sharing.

Her men's demeanor had changed completely however. Suddenly they were all smiles, all knowing eyes.

"My lady!"

"Prince Aegon. Princess Helaena." Small nod of her head. A smile towards their sister.

"We've heard tales of your beauty, my lady and I must admit they come nowhere near the truth!" Aegon said loud and clear, as if he had completely sobered up in less than a few minutes.

"You have?" She asked playfully, her gaze returning to the prince Aemond. Then they turned to the empty chair on his right.

"My lady" Aemond was quick to get the hint. He circled around the table and stopped in front of her, hand out. She was at least a foot shorter than him, long black hair and sharp, yet somehow soft features. The lady flashed him a toothy smile,dimple appearing on each side of her face. Long fingers found their way around his forearm.

Aemond walked them both over the table, while also trying to prevent himself from stumbling over his own feet. As he even so gallantly offered her the chair next to him, he took another look at the men that were escorting her. They hadn't moved an inch. The same smiles from before still plastered on their faces. The prince sat back down.

She looked at him and then at her men. With a short wave of her hand the dozen men in front of the table dissappeared in small puffs of black smoke, gasps from the people in the room following short after.

"Well, shall we have some music then?"

King Viserys said as he looked over at his son who was staring with amazement at his future wife. He had yet to learn of the true powers the Asshai'i possessed.

The throne room came back to life. The heavy air around them was no more. Aemond, even if not by much, felt slightly better than he did few moments before. Both in soul and mind. Like a heavy curtain he wasn't aware of previously, suddenly got yanked from in front of his face. Everything seemed brighter, even the music was louder than before. He could've swore he could make out the conversations of the people down below them.

"Oh, Prince Aemond..."

His head snapped towards her so fast, he winced a bit. He hoped it went unnoticed. It didn't.

"Yes, my lady?"

She let out a soft laugh. To him it came out as a song. One he'd love to hear over again and again.

"Seeing as we're soon to be wed, I think it best you call me by my name. Rebonna."

"Rebonna." Prince Aemond whispered to himself. Then he realized what he did. A blush crept up his face.

This did not go unnoticed by the lady either. She laughed again, her eyes lighting up a bit.

"Yes, Rebonna."

She smiled, red lips pulling back to reveal white, sharp teeth. Aemond offered a small smile in return. The young prince was so consumed by her mere presence, he missed how the light dissappeared from her eyes and how they darkened by a few shades. The fact that she hadn't blinked once through this whole encounter slipped his mind too...

My first-ever dalliance with an Our Skyy property (I didn’t watch Never Let Me Go or Star In My Mind)! Some thoughts on Our Skyy 2: The Eclipse, episode 1:

First off, The Eclipse was my first GMMTV BL ever ever ever, which I watched after finishing KinnPorsche. I literally had no idea who anyone was, from the actors to Golf, no one. Going in super-DUPER fresh, I generally loved the script, and COMPLETELY loved the direction and cinematography. I loved that the storyline relied on emotional heat up until it made sense to introduce physical heat. I had my criticisms about how the Thua storyline played out -- I did not realize this until @bengiyo shared with me that two episodes had been cut from the original series order, which helps me to understand that whole debacle a lot better in hindsight.

I loved the show a lot, and already have a ton of nostalgia for it, and I’m excited that my old Thai BLs watchlist will give me more by way of First, especially in Not Me (and besides BLs.... yes, I’m still very much considering watching The Shipper for all the other simpy darlings in it) (cough cough Ohm cough Jennie cough).

ANYWAY, I’m seeing on the internet a lot of consternation for this first episode, but I thought it was FABULOUS.

I want to see people in relationships dealing with shit! Like grown-up humans! Yes, the boys are young -- dang, they’re just graduating high school! They’re young adults, like YOUNG, and figuring out their shit. (Isn’t it... SCREAMINGLY obvious that Aye is keeping the birthday secret from Akk?) (I always thought of Akk as a slightly over-serious weenie, and look -- First plays that up SO WELL.) (And Ayan knows this and is messing with Akk, and so what?) (Because boyfriends are going to learn how to balance each other out, and that’s exactly what’s happening here!)

I blog about trauma and messes all the time, because trauma and messes are really real in the real world. Surely I look to dramas to show me alternate realities of happy fluff and happy endings, but, as I always write here: the thing that really gets me in particular about Thai dramas is the Thai filmmaking penchant to NOT look away from the messy, gory, emotional details of relationships needing to be ironed out. It’s truly beautiful art to me when a writer or director can get into that without shying away from it.

I reblogged this fantastic post from @justafriend-ql this morning with an incredible insight: the guys from Suppalo dealt with a tremendous amount of emotional trauma, and dare I say, even brainwashing to an extent while they were in school. They need to figure their shit out. Whether you’re in a relationship or not -- after an experience like that, you need to spend time sorting shit out regarding how you treat yourself and others.

Which is EXACTLY WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THIS EPISODE.

To me, The Eclipse was not about physical engagement or fluff. It was a very deep exploration into the societal guardrails that these guys were operating behind. I don’t see why that wouldn’t change for Our Skyy.

And I think this balanced out really nicely with all the movie bits, with Neo’s shirtlessness (GAWD DAMN), with Namo being freakin’ hilarious, and with my BELOVED ship of Wat and Sani -- Sani, who looks as slammin’ as ever, who will likely turn down Wat (if I’m reading their movie re-creation correctly), and Wat who respectfully crushes on her (I love them I love them, and if Sani decides otherwise, I support her go-gurl moment, because Wat is also an adult now!).

Anyway. This will obviously resolve tomorrow, and I’m excited for it. I loved this episode. It was sophisticated, heaty, emotional, and complicated. I’m not expecting fluffy and simple here -- I want to see good filmmaking for a two-episode epilogue, and I think we’re getting it so far here.
