Jon Hamm: I've worn everything on this show, from nothing to a rug wrapped around me to a beautiful bespoke suit.
Kate Carin (Costume Designer): When we see him at the bookshop for the ball, we thought it would be hilarious that Aziraphale had asked him to get really dressed up for it. So we did a bit of a homage to Liberace. So he's got a powder blue dinner suit that's encrusted with rhinestones. And then Douglas asked if we could do some sort of coat to go on top of it for one of the scenes when he leaves. So, of course, we didn't do just a coat. We did a huge ostrich feather coat, which we made from scratch. The girls did all the ombre on the feathers so it matches the dinner suit, gets lighter and lighter blue as it comes to the top, and then he's kind of surrounded by this halo of white feathers.
Sarah-Kate Fenelon (Producer): There is a shot when he emerges from the bookshop to meet all of the demons and say, like, I am who you're looking for, where he looks a little bit like an angel. And the silhouette of him kind of emerging in the light is very epic and is then just completely undercut by sort of, move out of the way. (video)

Variety: I interviewed Kieran Culkin, and he said that the boardroom fight was scripted to become physical, and that he and Jeremy Strong never want to rehearse, but because of your pregnancy they wanted to for safety reasons. What was your experience of that? Sarah Snook: Originally, it was meant to be more between Shiv and Kendall who are fighting — potentially pulling a phone out, and throwing it at Kendall, and having it escalate like that. We had a choreography rehearsal between Jeremy and I. And then on the day, I felt good about being able to advocate for myself, going, “Let’s just remember this is a fight scene that we haven’t really properly rehearsed that we’re sort of feeling out with a pregnant woman.” I feel safe, but Jeremy doesn’t like to rehearse, and I’m going to respect that to a point — but I’m not going to keep my mouth shut when I’m pregnant and we’re going into a fight scene. But what ended up happening, which was far more honest and realistic to the scene, is that when Shiv goes to leave, Jeremy grabs my hand. Up until that point we’d rehearsed — but the instinct from Kieran as Kieran as much as it was from Roman is like, “Get your fucking hands off her. She’s pregnant!” And then leaps on him. And so it really made sense, so much more sense, that she would just be like, “Whoa — it is just boys, like wrestling boys. This is again, childhood.” So it ended up being fine in terms of my safety, and much better in terms of the scene.

Kate Sharma and Anthony Bridgerton in You never called it what it was by newtonsheffield (Moomin_94)
"Why am I hearing that you haven't written anything in months?" Anthony narrowed his eyes at Kate, over the top of his book, his feet resting on the edge of his desk. "Who told you that?" "I have my sources," Kate said, dropping her bag on the velvet sofa in the corner, followed by her coat, her leather gloves twisting in her hands. "Benedict is not a reliable source of information." Anthony tutted, trying to push down the way his heart fluttered in his chest just at the sight of her. Just as it had since he was eighteen. Stop it, she doesn't want you. You know she doesn't. Kate's boot nudged his feet off the edge of his desk, "It wasn't Benedict." "Daphne isn't either." He adjusted the glasses sliding down the end of his nose. "How did you even get in here?"
Kate waved her hand vaguely, "Someone left the door open for me." "Fucking Greg." Anthony hissed, finally setting down his book. "Well, they're wrong. I'm writing all the time, constantly, can't stop me." You fucking liar. You haven't written anything since that dedication. He'd stared at that dedication for hours, Sure, she'd realise what she hadn't already, the moment she saw the dedication: That every word of that book was written for her, about her. A love letter that he'd sunk his entire being into until it breathed off the page. She must have known, everyone else did. They asked him about it in every interview, Who is it for? Who is she? His family sent one another glances whenever he mentioned his uni friend turned editor. Her own sister had raised her eyebrows just the other day. "How was Sarah today?" "Who?" "Don't fucking pretend, Anthony." She had to know that Snow Filled Paper was for her. Hell, the title was about the short story she'd written at Oxford that he still thought about every day of his life. He'd plucked it from the bin where she'd left it on the way out of class and it sat folded in the front of the book in his hand now. The one that was hers. And she hadn't said anything. Nothing. Because she didn't know what to say. She didn't want him, so why should he care?
"Show me some pages then." Kate said bluntly, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't have to show you my pages!" He said, a little affronted, well aware that he didn't have anything to show, even if he wanted to. "I'm your editor." She rolled her eyes, flicking his ear. "Well, edit someone else!" He scoffed, "I'm sure T F Dickhead is writing you mystery novel after mystery novel to wade through. Surprise: The Gardener always does it!" She rolled her eyes, " I'm going to ignore that. If you have time to sit here and read your own book, you have time to show me your work." "No. I'm busy!" "You have a can of Pringles resting on your stomach." "It's called a creative process, Kate! And these are a limited edition flavour for your information. This is practically science!" "Anthony. You haven't written anything." No. And I don't want to ever again.

How do you know from whose PR articles are coming from? Can’t it be that the publications are just writing them themselves?
Recently, there have been articles about how Kate feels lonely without Meghan. It’s clickbait obviously. The article just talks about how they could’ve been like Diana and Sarah, but then continues to says that Kate has been successful in the rf because of her inner circle. Where do you think this is from?
Also, during the BAFTAs, William asked one of the nominees about her experience filming, saying they must have had fun. It was completely innocent and was said in a politely engaging in a casual conversation kind of way, but the Daily Mail spun it to look like a “gaffe” because the film was about a girl who was raped. I stumbled upon a sussex squaddie’s tiktok talking about it and although the account acknowledges it was a spin, he also says “William must have made some enemies” meaning there must be someone trying to make him look bad. Do you think that’s true? I thought maybe it’s just the dailymail stirring stuff to punish William for keeping himself and Kate away from public eye these days.
Honestly, this is the thing that drives me insane with royal watching. It causes paranoia. And most royal watchers begin to hate on certain royals just because they assume certain narratives are coming from that royal’s pr even though we have no proof.
You sound like you might be new to the analytical side of royal watching. That's okay!
The only reason I mention that is because if you've been a royal-watcher since before Meghan, you would have noticed a very distinct, very obvious shift in how the royals are covered and discussed in the media after Meghan came in (2016/2017). This happened because Meghan had her own PR, strategy, and comms people, Sunshine Sachs and Gina Nelthorpe-Crowne among them, promoting and marketing instead of relying on the BRF or just doing it herself personally as all the other royal girlfriends/married-ins did. And we know Meghan kept her LA team even after moving to London and getting married; it was confirmed in one of the royal books. I think it was Bower's Revenge.
How do you know from whose PR articles are coming from? Can’t it be that the publications are just writing them themselves?
It's in the details. Here are a few.
If the article is talking about apologies or olive branches, it's from the Sussexes. They're the only ones who've demanded apologies and olive branches, ever since the Oprah interview and including in Harry's Spare interviews.
If the article is discussing several members of the royal family but Meghan is listed first, it's her PR. If the article uses titles, it's from the BRF. If the article uses their first names but William and Kate are first, it's just the publication writing.
If the article is about Meghan and it's on a random topic (like that beauty article the other day about her magical hair) or it appears randomly (like when she otherwise hasn't been in the news), it's her PR. Publications aren't going to randomly write about someone unless there's cause, and cause is usually a pay incentive.
Now, People will also take stories from the BRF too, especially and mostly about Kate. Usually any long-form article about Kate that includes "close sources" or "palace insiders" quotes, it's from Kensington Palace/William's PR.
People and US tabloids also regurgitate stories from other media. If you see similar articles with near-identical quotes, that's their own writers, not usually sourced from someone's office.
Everyone also has preferred journalists that they give info to and will seek out for stories. For Meghan, it's Scobie (though she doesn't seem to be talking to her anymore, probably because she's pissed about the Dutch Endgame leaking the names) and Gayle King. For Harry, it's Bryony Gordon. For the BRF, it's usually one of the Richards, sometimes Rebecca English. For Camilla, it's Piers Morgan. (I track some of this in my Timeline series.)
If an article is about Charles and talks about a new idea or a new initiative, it's from his PR. We call them trial balloons - Charles is notorious for using the public reaction to these ideas to decide what to do.
If the piece is overly critical of Kate in comparison to Meghan, it's usually from Meghan's PR. If Meghan's name is listed first, then it's definitely from her PR. If it's bashing the Waleses children or criticizing Kate's parenting, it's from Meghan's side (though she's been very careful lately not to have her name directly connected to those stories).
If the piece is overly critical of the Waleses/Cambridges while simultaneously full of gushing praise for the Sussexes, it's usually Sussex PR.
I don't believe that William/KP briefs against the Sussexes anymore but back when they used to in late 2018/early 2019, you could tell when it was KP speaking versus the publications reporting - e.g., stories about concern for Harry's mental health were William and KP.
There are also key phrases that each principal royal like to use. Like you'll hear "keen" a lot with Kate - that's Kensington Palace speaking. "Olive branch" is Meghan.
There's also a very specific way that the writers refer to insiders/close sources, especially for William/Kensington Palace, but I'm totally blanking on that right now.
There are other ways to tell whose PR has sourced a story. These are just the ones off the top of my head. If anyone else can think of others, please share them!
Recently, there have been articles about how Kate feels lonely without Meghan. It’s clickbait obviously. The article just talks about how they could’ve been like Diana and Sarah, but then continues to says that Kate has been successful in the rf because of her inner circle. Where do you think this is from?
Kate feeling lonely without Meghan is from Meghan-friendly associates. Meghan might be shit when it comes to public service, but she really knows her shit when it comes to PR and media. She knows that for maximum effect, she needs an affiliation to Kate. That's why she wears outfits similar to Kate's. That's why she styles her hair in big bouncy Chelsea blowouts. That's why she tries to be kid-friendly like Kate. She needs Kate for the attention she can't get on her own. Meghan needs Kate. Kate doesn't need Meghan - she's shown us that over and over again.
Anything that connects Meghan to Diana is also from Meghan. There was a whole PR campaign back in 2017/2018 when she was trying to convince Harry's world that she was royal material about how she was just like Diana. So Meghan (and Harry) also uses Diana for the attention boost.
However, anything that mentions Diana and Sarah together, that's not Meghan. Those are from the reporters themselves. Meghan so obsessively wants to be Diana that Sarah is the last person she wants to be associated with or compared to. Meghan thinks she's better than Sarah.
Kate being successful because of her inner circle is KP. Kate herself rarely speaks through PR - she's content to let William and their comms team speak for her. (Which I suspect is one of the reasons why Meghan immediately disliked her; Kate has no interest in using all this fame she has for her personal benefit where you know it's Meghan's dream to be that famous.)
Nah, it's just the Daily Mail stirring shit up. It goes back to the old adage "if you won't give me the news, you'll be the news." It's not really punishing William so much as using William for clicks, attention, and traffic, which is how digital media makes their money. Everyone does it and everyone understands that to keep their media coverage positive, they need to give the reporters something to write about. It's an unofficial pact that the palace has with the media.
William and Kate do understand this but it's not their priority to do something just for the optics and media coverage. I suspect this approach largely comes from how they were both treated by the media and paparazzi - they both understand that the interest in them is organic due to their positions. It's very 'if you build it they will come' so they don't necessarily worry about media and press coverage the way others in the BRF might.
(I do think they're a little too extreme with how media-averse they are. On the one hand I understand it because maybe they do have legitimate PTSD from how they were treated by the media and they seem to be closer to the Elizabeth/Philip style of monarchy with royal mystique and palace intrigue than the Charles/Diana/Camilla style of royalty and monarchy with transparency and open coverage. But on the other hand, they're public servants living in publicly-funded and publicly-subsidized estates; they need to be pulling their share of the weight and that means needing to be seen by the public on a regular consistent basis doing regular, consistent service. This is a lifetime commitment, not a "in 20 years when I'm King" commitment. Obviously exceptions apply when there are health concerns at hand, like there are now, but they can't alawys lean back on health concerns - not when Charles has cancer and is still seen regularly by the public.)
Honestly, this is the thing that drives me insane with royal watching. It causes paranoia. And most royal watchers begin to hate on certain royals just because they assume certain narratives are coming from that royal’s pr even though we have no proof.
And that's fine! I don't think it's paranoia though - it's more stan culture to me, where the more consumed you are by your favorites, the more obsessive you become about how they're treated by others and covered in the media. At the end of the day, it's all parasocial relationships. The celebrities we favor, pay attention to, follow - they have no idea we exist and they have no idea how consumed by their life we are. Collectively, sure, they get it but individually? No. They have better things to do and they think we have better things to do.
That's why I think it's healthy to take a few steps back, look at everything more objectively, and ask exactly the kind of questions that you're asking.
As for not having proof about certain narratives, to an extent you're correct - no one is going to explicitly come out and take responsibility for saying certain things or causing certain drama. But they have subtle ways of showing their hand and giving us the proof. You just have to know what to look for and, barring that, just wait for the royal books. The books fall on a spectrum with deeply researched and investigated (like Tom Bower) on one side and biased reporting (like Scobie) on the other. If you read more of the 'biased reporter' books, those authors are falling over themselves to defend their sources and when they do that, they throw everyone else under the bus and end up confirming rumors or spoiling someone's PR game.

“The New York Times did not quote any transgender people in a majority of their articles about anti-trans legislation in the past year,” said Sarah Kate Ellis, President & CEO of GLAAD, in a statement posted to GLAAD’s website. “One of the first recommendations we make during the hundreds of LGBTQ education briefings we hold with national and local newsrooms is to include LGBTQ voices in LGBTQ stories: interview the people impacted by your coverage and include their perspectives. The New York Times failed that basic reporting lesson 101, and replaced it with a pattern of obfuscating sources’ anti-trans affiliations and allowing their misinformation to go unchecked. Our coalition of more than 150 organizations, community leaders, and notable LGBTQ people and allies remains steadfast in our calls for the Times to improve their coverage of transgender people.” “The paper of record has an obligation to present its readers with the full human toll of the anti-trans legislative assault,” added Ari Drennen, LGBTQ Program Director at Media Matters. “Trans people are more than theoretical curiosities to be debated from afar. Each and every anti-trans bill affects living, breathing people whose voices deserve to be heard and whose stories deserve to be told.”

“but Meghan will do about anything to discredit others to make herself look better.” Ah, what a feminist she is! Her support of other women, ensuring we are linked not ranked while throwing her useless title around, just fills my heart. I always found it ironic she wanted to make emerald/green her “color” since she’s green with envy of women she’s threatened by. Is it safe to assume Sarah Rafferty was her main “rival” before she met Catherine and became Meghan’s new target? Meghan seems like someone who always needs a target or someone to hate. I think it really bothers her that any attack on Catherine is ignored and usually blows up in Meghan’s face in some way.
I will never forget nor forgive her for bashing on Kate during the Oprah interview for making HER cry but failing to mention that Kate was like 1 week post-partum.
Yet Meghan later talks about how no one was nice to her or cared about how she was during pregnancy or afterwards.
You get what you give.

She got the title of the 'Ghostface Princess' when she started to do content of Scream on social media
The title of 'Serpent Princess' was because the cast f Riverdale started to call her that during filming and interviews
While rehearsing for Carrie: The Musical, she was Chris Hargenssen while Spencer, her boyfriend at the time, was playing Tommy Ross, and during one rehearsal, she pulled the rope with the bucket (empty) and accidentally hit him in the back, he was okay, only a bruise for a few days (they broke up in january because he moved to Iowa)
The one sided feud with Kira started because she thought Y/N last name was weird and funny, until she found out who was her father
Sometimes when she doesn't have space in her room or closet, she uses her siblings room as storage room
She knows how to play piano
Her favorite book series is PJO and The Selection
Her favorite fashion houses are Vivienne Westwood and D&G
She became a TS fan during 2011 after seeing the music video of Our Song, and the rest is history, she has been to three tours: 1989 with her family and friend group, the Rep Stadium Tour again with family and friend group, and recently to The Eras Tour with Jack
The first horror movie she saw wasn't Scream, it was Alien

Once a year, Y/N and her siblings have a small golf competition
Her first fashion campaign was with Kate Spade at 14
One ime during the filming of Scream VI, Melissa and Xavier adopted her for a day having a family day
The first thing she bought with her first salary as a Riverdale extra was her Prada nylon purse and bobba tea
(This is going to hurt) Luke Perry was like a second father to her, when Skeet had to film a violent scene, he would always distract her, helping her with homework or things like that, also attending her school plays, so when he died, she didn't left her room for a week because she coulnd't stop crying, even if the memorial was held at the Ulrich household, and when TS released evermore, she did a cover of Marjorie in his honor that she posted on Tik Tok
Her favorite movie is Corpse Bride, and always cries during the Emily song and the final scene

Besides the Southside Serpents leather jacket, she has a Vixens uniform (and all the variations), a Bulldogs football shirt, a Jughead beanie, a Pops uniform, Pussycats ears, a S shirt, letterman jacket, a Pretty Poisons jacket, and a 'Farm' shirt

Sophie Winkleman aka Lady Frederick Windsor did an interview for Tatler and so I just wanted to quote some things she said.
“After spending three days in hospital, she learnt that she wouldn’t be paralysed, but she had broken her foot and three bones in her back. She was touched by the support of the then Prince Charles, whose cook at Clarence House supplied her family with meals twice a day for months. ‘It was lifesaving, having this massive thing twice daily that I didn’t have to worry about,’ Winkleman says. Other royal cousins rallied round. Prince William asked an air ambulance colleague to ‘take good care of her’, while Sophie, Countess of Wessex, visited her in hospital.”
“Still, her recuperation was slow and agonising, with Winkleman unable to pick up her children for a year. ‘It was quite sobering. Physio left me in so much pain, it wasn’t working.’ Then she spoke with the Queen at a function. ‘She asked how I was, and she said, “We can’t have that. You have to go in the water.” She told us that when horses had broken backs, they swam, and so she let me use her pool at Buckingham Palace. That’s the reason I got better. It was so typically thoughtful.’
“I love Sophie Edinburgh, Sarah Chatto, Zara, the York girls, Tim and Princess Anne, Fergie, all the Kents and Gloucesters. I love Kate and William, but they’re so busy and don’t live in London, so I don’t see them much.’ The King, she continues, ‘is a very dear friend. I spend a bit of time with him. You see how he works all day long, has a quick supper and then disappears until about 4am to write letters. He cares about so many things and he comes up with brilliant solutions.’
sweet <3 (the styling for the shoot was a mess tho)

Hey! What were your thoughts on S3 of Starstruck? It went in a very different direction than I was expecting and as a viewer I feel conflicted - I think it’s brilliantly written and reflective of reality and there’s a lot of beauty in what’s been explored this season, but emotionally I also feel a bit thrown.
hi clara!
Okay. So I have spent the last week thinking about it (I even explained to my counselor how I was a child of divorce now 😂)…. But I still fully haven’t grasped all of my thoughts so this may all sound a bit rambling. Spoilers Ahead!
First and foremost, in my most recent re-watch of Starstruck I kept on thinking about how Jessie loves Kate but… kinda brushes Kate’s friendship as not as important as a romantic one (e.g. - the speech she gives to Joe in S1E5). With this in mind, I do really love that most of the relationship tension and the overall love story of S3 is between Kate and Jessie. Their friendship is so precious to me and I adore it so much. So I do love the way that’s explored in the new season. Kate and Jessie are the real love story of Starstruck.
Other things I LOVED is Sarah and Steve’s relationship. They are honestly so funny, and I adore them so much! I also did like the evolution of Joe's character. Minnie Driver is always amazing as Cath, Shivani is so funny, and I loved Alice Snidden as Amelia (more on that later).
Now unto the important things. I kinda knew that S3 would go this route bc I felt like if it had followed traditional romcom tropes the next step would be marriage. Which I really couldn’t imagine Rose doing.
So when S3 was renewed I had a feeling that it would either go the marriage route, the we are never ever ever getting back together route, or something else completely.
But realistically it would be the breakup. I was hoping that the ending would be kinda unresolved where there was a chance that Jessie and Tom could get back together in the future. But Alas. However, this did not mean I was not in a complete in a state of panic leading up to S3 (if you follow me on Twitter, you know).
Honestly, imo if S3 was doing the we have different partners I FIRMLY believe that Jessie should have been with a woman, and Tom should have been with a woman of colour.
Me at Clem:
Tumblr media
The new characters fell SO flat to me. Clem is nice enough and so agreeable, which I think is supposed to act as a foil to Jessie. This is obvs in the way that Clem wants marriage and kids. But I also feel like you see it in the way that Clem isn’t threatened by Jessie, which is a very stark contrast to the way Jessie reacts to Tom’s co-star in season 1, and the fight they have after.
And Liam is just there. No offense to Liam, but none of his scenes really felt like they could compare to the banter and chemistry between Jessie and Tom throughout the seasons. To quote the modern philosopher of our time:
Tumblr media
So it was really hard to care about him and the relationships. Also something about his very existence reminded me of this interview Rose did during S1. Though that could be a nothing.
Overall I really didn’t care about these new relationships, bc watching Jessie and Tom in S1-2 is just so electric. The banter, the back and forth. The way they smile at each other, and make each other laugh.
But maybe that’s the whole point, that you could have electric chemistry with someone. But it could also all be meaningless bc that person is not the person for you.
As for Tom, I recently got asked if he was written as an asshole. But I don’t know how to answer that. Was he shit for cheating on his fiancé? Yes. But did I care that he cheated on her with Jessie, no.
I do feel like I’m not a huge fan of the way that Tom was written in this season. Throughout the show he is only shown in relation to Jessie or his work, with the exception of the Christmas episode. But I bc in the new series he isn’t with Jessie we REALLY see how his character is flat.
Now I do realise that it’s bc the show is about Jessie, but it still felt lacking. The fact that Tom doesn’t seem to have friends outside of Jessie’s circle is wild. The fact that he is getting married, and we don’t see his parents or brother is so 💀
Especially since Tom is a full Brown man (that is apparently somewhat religious). And somehow his family isn’t part of any of the wedding prep? That’s so wild and unbelievable (for me as a brown woman). I do realise Vinay is an asshole but I genuinely wish he had made an appearance in S3. It could have been so funny and it would have added some nuance to Tom's character. (We see Dan again, but not Vinay or the rest of Tom's fam? Come on!) I would love to see Vinay’s opinion on Jessie changed and his feelings toward the wedding, kiss, stag, etc.
I do understand Rose and the writers wanted to explore these ideas. And this is something she has clearly been thinking about since Baby Done. I also do think that in the latest series, we explore the anxieties through a queer lens by way of Amelia's speech. It strikes me as fascinating that Alice Snidden is openly bi, and her character is one of the only ones single.
Merryanna Salem, one of the most prolific film critiques of our time, articulated an idea about the queerness of Starstruck, and Queer Relativity in such a nuanced way. I highly recommend you read it. With this in mind, Amelia's speech, and Rose's feelings towards babies, its really not that surprising it ended the way it did.
But at the same time, it really seems like such a shift from the first two series in a way I simply don’t like (or understand). As I previously established Jessie and Tom are SO good together. Their chemistry is unreal, the show is just so bloody cute.
The show sets out to be a romcom, and that is what it does brilliantly in the first two series. Yet in S3, we really see a departure from that genre. It feels more a romantic drama, with comedic elements and I think its REALLY discombobulating. Specifically bc in most romcoms the couple gets together, and in dramas there is more grey area. Because I didn't read S1-2 as anything but a romcom, I didn't even entertain the idea of a break up. So to have it thrown in, in S3 seems so forced somehow.
Especially bc we have seen Tom and Jessie conquer the odds again and again. So to have the writers articulate they just aren't a good fit, and Jessie to say we want different things is strange. Maybe, I was watching Starstruck with blinders on, but it seemed in the previous seasons they were somewhat on the same page. Like even with this idea of Queer Relativity, Tom seems to understand it. He seems content to NOT get married to Jessie in S2 ending and what have you. So to suddenly be presented with a Tom who needs marriage and babies is discombobulating. Again, maybe I watched the show with blinders, but I did not catch the seeds of Tom and Jessie not being compatible, so S3, as you said threw me off.
And on some level I do think it’s kinda a redundant deconstruction of the romcom.
Join me next time where I dissect Starstruck through the lens of Race and Politics (or the lack there of).

Kate Carin (Costume Designer): I was very adamant that I would need manufacturing on this job, because it gives you an opportunity to create things that you can't just find on the shelf and you can then really create worlds. I felt that Shax's, for me, from the outset, was always going to be red. In her final look when she comes back to lead the demons in the battle against the angels, I said to her, 'Will you wear a red leather catsuit?' And she said, 'Yes.' So we made her a red leather catsuit. And then I said to her, 'What about if we give you really, really great kind of animalistic shoulders?' So we made her huge leather, scaly shoulders, which she also donned, no problem at all. You'll see on the front of her armour is the stork, which is the Shax's demon's creature animal, so we had that embossed.
Sarah-Kate Fenelon (Producer): It's like the Neil Gaiman version of whata demon would wear when they were going, you know, she looks fabulous, but she also looks fierce.
Miranda Richardson (Shax): It's amazing. My many pointed armoured breastplate, which is very useful for anything that anybody wants to get rid of before a shot. I can just tuck up there. I've got my phone up there, I've got my script sides up there, coffee up there, you know. (video)

For all the people pressed about W and C PR. Stay pressed! Charles spent his entire 20s and 30s doing glamorous PR, Prince PR and whatnot. And can we forget the Diana onslaught. How many magazine covers even before her marriage. Hundreds of interviews, tiara pics, horrendously expensive couture gowns. All in a meagre 10 years. Why is everything acceptable for them and not for William and Kate? Haven't they been lowkey enough? Let them atleast do this in their 40s!
Of all the things people could complain about William and Catherine and their team, this is probably the most absurd.
Having a better handle on their social media is a logical thing to do and something that many of us have been asking for YEARS. Since Knauf was the communications secretary, I know the real fans will remember that time. The way KP handled everything related to the Coronation is how many of us expected them to do it, I think they even did it better! It's attractive, eye-catching but classy at the same time. They've done it in a way that doesn't look performative or like they wanted to look like influencers or celebrities. They are Royals in a day and age where social media plays an important role, they are finally getting it. Even BP is looking for a content creator!
People complaining about this are fools who just want to complain. Those who agree with people like Sarah Vine need to re-evaluate their lives.
This is further proof that the problem is not what royals are saying or doing, but which royals are doing it and saying it.

Seventeen Magazine, July 2004
The Olsens are making their own declaration of independence this month by Sarah Bernard Ph: George Holz Hair: Mark Townsend Makeup: Brigitte Reiss-Anderson
This is a big year for Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Yes, they'll officially take the reins of Dualstar Entertainment, their billion-dollar film and merchandise company, when they turn 18 on June 13—and they'll be moving 3,000 miles away from home this fall to attend New York University. But what made headlines this spring was a comment the girls made about no longer wanting to be called "The Olsen Twins." From now on, they said, they wanted to be referred to by their full names. For two girls who have been marketed as a single brand ever since they famously shared the character of Michelle Tanner on Full House, that's a pretty big deal. (Even they can't tell who's who when they watch an old episode from the show's nine-year run.) With that one comment, Mary-Kate and Ashley proclaimed their independence: They've outgrown the twin act and are now carving out distinct identities. [p.97]
OP Note: The author did not bring this topic to their attention in the interview. They both debunked this on an episode of Letterman, which aired two months prior to the magazine hitting stands.
